"Sedicenne, di nobili sentimenti patriottici, si arruolava volontariamente in una formazione partigiana dedicandosi alla causa della Libertà con la passione e l’ardimento dei suoi giovani anni. Arrestato per delazione, subì 49 giorni di duro carcere sopportando con stoica fierezza, torture e sevizie, perché denunziasse i compagni di lotta; ma le sue labbra restarono chiuse dal suggello dell’onore e della fedeltà. Né valse la promessa di avere salva la vita, se avesse abiurato la sua fede e preferì la morte all’ignominia del tradimento. Purissimo apostolo dell’amore alla Patria, cadde barbaramente trucidato e la sua figura è assurta luminosa tra i martiri della nuova Italia. Codigoro, 14 febbraio 1945".
