Speaker 1 (00:00):
Listening to a podcast to me is like listening to music.
You don't stay in the same genre. You're all over
the place, which is the reason why at Arrow dot
net Arroe dot net seventeen different podcasts to choose from.
Because we know that you're everywhere, why not be there
with you. Hey Zerow, host of the weekly podcast Podcrashing,
four hundred and ten episodes that connect listeners to podcast

(00:23):
specialists around the world. My goal has always been to
inform our community with subjects that deal with everything and beyond.
Podcast hosts are open and always filled with a spirit
that spreads their skills as journalists, medical specialists, true crime solvers, gamblers, motivators, spiritualists, actors,
and even the children of very famous people. There is

(00:44):
literally a podcast for every subject. The show pod Crashing
has been around since March of twenty nineteen. The original
goal was to put focus on helping up and coming
podcasters to have the right information about hosting as well
as surviving. The idea went fifty four episodes before adopting
a new plan. Hey talk directly with the podcasters who

(01:07):
do it every day. That's where the lessons are. The
purpose of Podcrashing. One on one is to help you
build your own platform, promote it, and earn money. This
is podcrashing one on one, episode number four hundred and ten.
What's more important creating a podcast with show numbers or

(01:27):
do it in seasons? There are so many opinions connected
to this personal decision. Because the majority of my podcast
are associated with authors, music artists, actors, doctors and scientists,
there's really no need for me to invest in a
season such as true crime podcasts, sports seasons, a binge
television rewatch, or anything like that. Podcast consultants lean in

(01:49):
on this, claiming it depends on your content style. Do
you need to release a schedule. Some are doing it
once a week, which makes it perfectly right for a
season of nine episodes. I tend to number my podcast
because I'm every day. Then again, in many cases, I've
blocked out saying episode number four h five or one

(02:10):
thousand because it really means absolutely nothing to the common listener.
It's flooding up the title. Too much information is being
read before jumping in to just listen. Listeners do follow chronology,
and it's been shown to put on display the podcaster's credibility,
But with so many newcomers endlessly showing up the numbers. Well,

(02:32):
it sends out the signal that they are far, far
far behind. It's way too much. When it comes to Hey, a,
I gotta go. Coming up next, what's the better podcast
decision to create seasons or number year episodes? Part two? Hey,

(02:54):
thanks for coming back to podcrashing one on one the
subject today? What is the better podcast is to create
seasons or number year episodes. Creating a season is seen
as the perfect tool to get in touch with a narrative.
It actually sets the episodes up to have natural breaks.
Seasons allow flexibility. Each new season is a fresh theme.

(03:18):
I have talked with many podcasters who've been around for
five seasons, and each one of them is a new
host and subject. Seasons allow you to move around when
it comes to creating solid cliffhangers, just make sure that
you show up with a new episode. Seasons are amazing
For your marketing department, pre promoting and new seasons are essential.

(03:41):
It generates not only texture, but it allows you to
build up the storyline. The bad news creating seasons is
the number one place where listeners drop out. They don't
have the time to wait for a full nine episodes.
If you number your episodes, you're reinjuring as well. It
creates confusion and by the time you get back with

(04:03):
new episodes, you probably lost your original momentum. It's very
okay to create seasons as well as numbers for your episodes.
There are no rules to this game. Just go with
your gut while keeping an eye on how listeners are
reacting to what you're putting out. Do what you can
to keep them on Spotify, Apple, as well as iHeartRadio,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
