FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 8!

We discuss how this August 9 Aquarius Full Moon reflects the light of the Leo Sun back onto itself, thus exposing its shadow side: Excessive pride & arrogance. The Aquarius Moon—when it arrives at exactly 17-degrees of Sun-ruled Leo at 12:55 a.m. PT & 3:55 a.m. ET on August 9--then asks the Leo Sun to release any hubristic tendencies to act like a powerful but selfish & uncaring king.

This lunation’s square to Juno in Scorpio mirrors back to us the tension  of the current power struggle over whether America is still based on a partnership between its government--created originally by & for the people--or a monarchy under the rule of a tyrannical king.

This lunation makes clear we’re still under the recurrence of energies of the U.S. natal Sibly birth chart’s Pluto return, begun in February 2022, that kicked off its original quest for independence. And that we’ve got a long way still to go, but that if we band together against such uncaring energies which disrespect our right to individual freedoms, only then can we save our nation from reverting to its original roots before its creation, that of an selfish & unstable monarch.
This week’s podcast recaps the Astro News You Can Use from the beginning of this month’s lunar cycle on July 24--because only by looking back can we know how we’ve arrived at where we are today, which, in turn, helps us better plan our future.

We look at the deeper meaning of the current Leo New Moon’s monthly lunar cycle, which asked us to plant seeds that honor our individual, creative, solar selves on July 24. Next, we note how its opposition then to Pluto in Aquarius portended power struggles, & how it has manifested thus far.
Especially as we waxed past the Sun/Mercury retrograde inferior conjunction of July 31, the first quarter monthly “crisis in action” waxing square of the Scorpio Moon to the Leo Sun, & the delusional square of Venus to Neptune & the dissatisfying one to Saturn August 1 & 2.

We note the many announcements made since this Sun/Mercury Rx conjunction—starting with Donald Trump’s firing of the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor & Statistics on August 1. Such a move, on the heels of the Venus squares to Saturn & Neptune, reeked of a king who chose to kill the messenger rather than pay attention to the actual message, without a care for his partners.
This, in turn, leads to the inability of Americans to trust the data coming out of its formerly trustworthy government agencies in charge of such economic statistical analyses. More examples in this podcast!

And that leads us to other August 1 announcements such as the one from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting that it will shut down next year. Then there’s the news that convicted sex trafficker & pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a “Club Fed” prison after her recent meetings with the U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump’s former criminal attorney in 2024 when Trump was convicted in the NY Stormy Daniels hush money case.

What’s becoming clear now also since Uranus entered Gemini on July 7 is the public’s change in perspective. That means a change in opinion, as the Trump/Epstein scandal becomes the monster that just won’t die. Meanwhile those formerly supportive of Trump begin to turn against him as they hope against hope that he will adjust his grip & “release the Epstein files” as Venus quincunxed Pluto August 1 & 2, too.

That this is symbolic of the energy of tomorrow’s Aquarius Full Moon square Juno in Scorpio, as Mars opposes both Saturn & Neptune August 8/9 & creates a huge amount of frustration & a sense of impotence a la “but what can I do about any of this?”

It's clear that under the SA/NE in Aries energies that boundaries continue to erode. From those between the federal government & the people it’s supposed to represent; the boundaries between federal & state governance; & those between our military—designed to fight an external enemy—who invade our local borders & our city's streets.
This becomes even more obvious since the FBI has now been tasked by King Trump to hunt down Texas democratic state legislators who refuse to vote for gerrymandered maps that further curtail the right of Black & brown people to equal representation when it comes to voting. Never mind if it's legal to use federal FBI law enforcement resources this way…
The ultimate message of this Aquarius Full Moon, however, is that when we stand together as a group & face the bully, there’s ultimately more power in numbers than in that of a weak, narcissistic wannabe king. Together we stand, divided we fall would be this month’s full Moon messa

On the boot. Hello everyone, and welcome to Karmic Evolution's
astrologically speaking podcast. I'm your host, Sherry Horne Hassan of
Karmic Evolution Astrology, and I'm coming to you on August

(01:13):
eighth from karmievolution dot com or any of your favorite
podcast stations. Here's my usual quick reminder that this podcast
aims to bring you the truth about astrology and your
soul's karmic evolution, and that a new podcast will continue
to drop every Friday at eleven am Pacific and two

(01:34):
pm Eastern on most major podcast platforms. Now, before we
get into this week's astro news, you can use I
want to reiterate my motto or mantra if you will,
as it pertains to my perspective about the importance of
gaining astrological insight into ourselves and our world, and that

(01:56):
is as follows, the universe is benign. It has no
vested interest in making any of us suffer. Rather, it
provides us with opportunities every moment of every day to
grow in consciousness. It's simply up to us to recognize
such moments, and if we don't, the universe doesn't give

(02:17):
up on us. And that's why I'm continuing to offer
my karmic evolution natal insight reading for those interested in
gaining greater insight into why you are here and what issues, habits,
and behaviors may still plague you from the past. So,

(02:37):
whether these behavioral patterns stem from earlier in this lifetime
and or past life experiences, my mission is to help
you better understand through the lens of my archetypal, psychological
and evolutionary training and practice by using your chart as
our guide to your soul's hero's journey. And again, most

(03:01):
people don't realize they're simply repeating habitual, conditioned behaviors from
the past. But the real question is from where did
these behaviors and habitual patterns derive? And you know, we
may be surprised at the reasons, but that's why the
use of a trained astrologer looking at your natal chart

(03:25):
can uncover a lot of things that may have been
hidden from consciousness. To you because of past experiences. So
again I believe the universe is benign and it has
no vested interest in harming any of us, but rather
that Karmic evolution Natal Insight reading can help you realize

(03:47):
that your natal or birth chart again is your roadmap
to shaking off the tendency to do the same thing
over and over again and expect different results. And that's
whether it's related to any areas of particular interest to
you throughout this lifetime, which may be relationships, career, finances,
health or whatever. So this is why I'm continuing to

(04:10):
offer my discounted seventy five minute needle reading for only
one hundred and twenty five dollars to podcast listeners only.
So if you are looking to move from chaos to
clarity about any area of particular interest to you, or
you simply want to learn about your soul's true mission

(04:31):
in this lifetime, then this is the reading for you.
Simply show me an email at Sherry s H E.
Ri I Atcarmickevolution dot com and I'll be happy to
answer any questions or to get you set up for
putting a reading on our calendars. Remember my motto also

(04:53):
is there is no substitute for gaining greater consciousness into
ourselves and evolving to individuate to the person that we
came here to become. So having said all that, first,
let's start this week's podcast by taking a look back

(05:17):
at the fact that we're still in the waxing stages
of the Leo New Moon, which occurred on January twenty
fourth at two degrees and eight minutes of this fiery
sun ruled sign. I noted then that it was a
time to plant seeds that boost our individual sense of
self in order to validate our freedom to be the

(05:38):
creative solar individuals we came here to be. So again,
the karmic evolution inside natal reading will help identify this
for you, and it's the term individuation, which was coined
by Carl Jung and the era of depth psychology around
the turn of the century their early nineteen hundred. On

(06:00):
another level, in terms of this Leo New Moon, there's
also the belief that we are all royalty read we
all carry within ourselves a spark of the divine, and
that's because we are all created theoretically in the image
of God, Goddess, universal energy, or whatever according to your

(06:22):
own personal belief system either way, though therefore we are
all deserving of respect and consideration and for the ability
to individuate and be who we came here to be. Now,
at the time of that lunation, we saw both luminaries
opposing Pluto and Aquarius, indicating that our attempts to both

(06:44):
plant and nurture this month's seed might well be challenged
by the powers that be, hence that it wasn't going
to be easy to achieve this lunation's goal, perhaps without
a fight. We also had Mars in Virgo can joined
to the Virgo South node and Square to the goddess
asteroid of health Hyjaiya at the time of the Leon

(07:07):
new moon. Now, one of the problems with a Virgo
South node is that we're tasked collectively now with giving
up any unrealistic attempts to try to control our environment.
And this would be particularly true in the realm of
health and in the realm of numbers, given their association

(07:29):
at this lunation. And when I say numbers, I'm also
talking about things like statistics. So more on that in
a few So what have we seen since then? Well, first,
there's the continually worsening situation in Gaza. And here I'm
thinking of the square to Hyjaiya of Hijaya, to the
no transiting nodal access as the American in Israeli backed

(07:53):
humanitarian aid seems not to actually have been able to
do the job that they Aric anticipated. So according to
NBC News on July twenty six, quote, thousands of AID
trucks loaded with life saving food, water, and medical supplies
are lined up outside Gaza, and hundreds more inside the

(08:14):
border a handful of miles away. A third of Gaza's
population is on the brink of starvation, with a surging
number dying of malnutrition. Why is it so hard to
get aid into the enclave? And this is all part
of the NBC article which continues. The Israeli military, which

(08:35):
manages the entry of all aid into the besieged enclave,
says it has allowed in an average of seventy trucks
a day since May, but that the United States and
other AID agencies have failed to distribute it. This number
is already far fewer than the hundreds of trucks necessary
to feed the population, aid agencies say, and crossing the

(08:56):
border into Gaza is just one hurdle in a broken
district abution chain largely controlled by Israel since it began
allowing a limited flow of aid into the Strip in
May following a nearly three months total blockade. The current
process is plagued by complex bureaucracy, deadly shootings at aid

(09:16):
distribution sites, and civil disorder exacerbated by Israel's relentless bombing campaign. Now,
since you're in this entry into Mercury ruled Gemini on
July seventh, we've seen shifts in public opinion on many
topics and Israel's right wing threat to occupy Gaza where

(09:37):
it's the right wing faction and from recent remarks by
the Prime Minister Benjamin net Yahoo that they want to
take over Gaza. Now is just one of these changes
in perspective, although I mean, I'm not saying that net
Yahoo and his right wing ministers have changed their perspective,

(10:00):
but they are certainly being more open about it. And
this is occurring as France, Canada, Malta and the UK
all said they would recognize an independent state of Palestine
in September at the UN General Assembly, according to the
Washington Post, and that in addition to the fact that quote.

(10:21):
As of March twenty twenty five, the State of Palestine
is recognized as a sovereign state by one hundred and
forty seven of the one hundred and ninety three member
states of the United Nations, or just over seventy five
percent of all UN members according to Wikipedia. So no
surprise here about what's going on, particularly in the realm

(10:45):
of health. As wounded healer CHIRN stationed retrograde at twenty
seven degrees and ten minutes of areas on July thirtieth,
highlighting a time between then and January two when Chirn's
stations direct again at twenty two degrees and thirty five
minutes of areas for reviewing where we've been wounded and
how to renew efforts to heal at the station direct.

(11:08):
And let's not forget that dwarf planet eris a harbinger
of chaos, discord, and strife is currently at twenty five
degrees in forty two minutes of areas, and we'll reconjoin
with Chiron during and after its retrograde period now and
again in twenty twenty six. I mentioned this last week,
so for those exact dates, you can go back to

(11:31):
that podcast, But that means it ain't over till it's over,
at least in terms of increased or additional pain, discord,
and strife. And we're talking collectively here, right, which may
spur the call for a new plan for healing, be
this on a collective and or a personal level, depending

(11:51):
on where these things are happening in your chart at
the station direct and the implementation of said plans starting
early next year. So next we experience Venus's entrance into
Moon Ruled Cancer July twentieth, where she remains until August
twenty fifth, when she then enters Lea. For now, however,
the goddess of beauty, love, and balance and equity in

(12:14):
partnerships is concerned with compassionate nurturing, including through food, for
those who suffer as chiron as retrograde, particularly women and children,
which brings us to what the Countdown podcaster Keith Olberman
calls the Trumpsteen monster that won't die, in part because

(12:35):
Trump keeps talking about it and therefore alluding to the
sexual abuse and rape of children. But more on that anon.
So by last Friday evening, after this podcast dropped earlier
on August first, we had the first quarter crisis in
action monthly lunar square of the Scorpio moon to the
Leo Sun, Venus Saturn and Venus Neptune's squares and Venus

(13:01):
quincunx Pluto. So let's go back for a second to
the fact that Mars was on the Virgo south node
at the July twenty fourth Leo new moon, and that
by the first quarter waxing lunation there was an attempt
to aggressively Mars control, manipulate, adjust Venus Pluto quincunks, which

(13:26):
is a quincunx is an adjustment or it tells you
that an adjustment is necessary.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
And.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
That came about most notably via the Bureau of Labor
Statistics unemployment numbers that came out that day and President
Trump's desire to replace them with fake numbers as per
the Mars Virgo South node conjunction and these Venus Saturn
Neptune squares. So this happened when Donald Trump decided to

(13:57):
fire the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because
the adjusted numbers of unemployed from the months of May
and June showed a substantial decline from the originally reported numbers,
along with a steady drop in employment for July as well,
bringing the US unemployment rate up to four point two percent.

(14:21):
And as I heard someone mentioned on one of the
news channels recently, black unemployment is even higher at somewhere
around seven something percent, and had the person pointed out
how ironic that is since Trump had said he was
getting rid of or deporting all of these immigrants so

(14:45):
that they didn't take the jobs of black people and others,
and that this is clearly that's the statistics show far
from the truth. Okay, that this followed the July thirty
FI and August first, depending on your time zone inferior
conjunction of the Sun and mercury retrograde in LEO, which

(15:08):
more often than not brings important announcements from those in
leadership roles. That means it was no surprise that this
time the announcement by President Trump was about firing this
BLS commissioner. And I have to apologize because normally I
indicate that a Sun mercury conjunction, whether it's when both

(15:30):
planets well, Sun never retrogrades, right, so whether it's when
mercury is direct or retrograde, often indicates some kind of
announcement people may recognize. The biggest one was last July
when Biden announced that he was dropping out of the
presidential race. And I can't remember exactly what day. I
think that conjunction was July twentieth, and his announcement came

(15:51):
on the twenty first or something like that, but it's
very they were very close together, So you know, you
keep your eye on these things, as well as the
square from Mercury to the Sun and its superior opposition
when Mercury direct is opposed to the Sun, which you know,

(16:12):
we'll talk about a on too, But the point here
is a bigger one because with Uranus now in Mercury
rule Gemini, which represents sudden changes to local boundaries, especially
when we combine that with Saturn and Neptune both running
together in Aries and then subsequently in the future in

(16:34):
Pisces while retrograde until their exact conjunction in early Aries
in February of twenty twenty six. I'd posit that since
Saturn entered Pisces from March eighth of twenty twenty three
through May twenty sixth of twenty twenty five, and he
joined Neptune and Aries, since that planet began a new

(16:56):
fourteen year cycle on March thirtieth. We've seen obvious dissolution
of boundaries. So first, this dissolution seemed to be mostly
climate oriented, and that was when Saturn was in Pisces,
before Neptune moved in from Pisces into areas. But this

(17:19):
is especially given that weather disasters including rains well. In
other words, let's say Saturn was in Pisces when Neptune
was in Pisces too. They weren't conjoined though, but obviously
water water, water, and the overriding of boundaries with Saturn
and Pisces. So weather disasters including rains, high winds, flooding,

(17:41):
you know, tornadoes caused breaches of dams, not only in
the US and I spoke about this at the time,
but globally as well. Since Saturn joined Neptune and aries, however,
combined with the more recent entrance of Uranus into Gemini,
both foreign and domestic including local, boundaries have been breached
not only by climate disasters, but in terms of politics,

(18:02):
particularly here in the US. So according to Reuters, on
August first, which is also right after the Mercury the
Sun Mercury conjunction, and at the first quarter Lunar Square quote.
US President Donald Trump said he had ordered two nuclear
submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions in response

(18:25):
to remarks from former Russian president Dmitri Medvedev about the
risk of war between the nuclear armed adversaries. Now remember
two weeks before, I'm sorry, the week before, on July
twenty fourth, at the New Moon if Leo was opposed
to Pluto, and Pluto's a symbol of nuclear power. So
the article continues. Security analysts called Trump's move a rhetorical

(18:48):
escalation with Moscow, but not necessarily a military one, given
that the United States already has nuclear powered submarines that
are deployed and capable of striking Russia. So President Trump
said on Truth's Social that the submarines were to be
positioned in the appropriate regions just in case. These foolish

(19:12):
and inflammatory statements meaning by Medvedev are more than just that,
and he added words are very important and can often
lead to unintended consequences. I hope this will not be
one of those instances. So originally I had put a
big laugh emoji there because how many times has his

(19:33):
words led to unintended consequences? But we won't dwell on
that right now? So okay, everyone, do you think that
the Venus Neptune square that day, which indicates a time
when one may not be particularly reality based, combined with
Venus' square to Saturn, which is quote when you will

(19:53):
probably have difficulty relating to others? As per astrologer Rob
Hand in his Planet's Transit book, do you think they
might have played a role here misunderstandings followed by feeling
like others don't live up to their promises, or and
then you know that together these are not really good
recipes for international relations? Right since then, according to The

(20:17):
New York Times on August fourth, quote, Russia will no
longer abide by a defunct treaty prohibiting the deployment of
intermediate range missiles, the country's Foreign ministry announced last Monday,
which was the fourth But Washington has accused Moscow of
violating the pact for over a decade, and Russia has
been known to use missiles with ranges banned by the

(20:40):
treaty during its war against Ukraine. In a statement, the
Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow quote no longer considers
itself bound by its quote Previously adopted self restrictions end
quote under the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. This is
still part of the article noting that the United States

(21:02):
was moving to deploy intermediate range missiles in Europe and Asia. That's,
you know, but that's the end of the quote from
that article. But I'm saying that thus the era of destone,
based on the concept that the use of nuclear weapons
will only lead to what's known as mutual assured destruction,

(21:22):
which has been called mad. Right to do so would
be mad, appears to be dead. Also, on August first,
we had the announcement that Gilaine Maxwell, the incarcerated, convicted

(21:45):
child predator, sexual abuser and aid to Jeffrey Epstein, gets
moved to a club fed prison after spending two days
with Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche the week before. So
it was reported by the New York Times on August first,

(22:06):
and I quote Maxwell moved to minimum security prison after
Justice Department questioning the news that met Gilaine Maxwell, the
longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein, had been moved from a
federal prison in Florida to a lower security prison camp
in Texas. Was met today with a furious reaction from
two women who have accused Epstein and Maxwell of abusing them,

(22:29):
Maria and Annie Farmer, and the family members of another Virginia, Jeffrey,
who died by suicide this spring. President Trump has sent
a clear message today pedophiles deserve preferential treatment and their
victims do not matter, they said in a statement. Meanwhile,
also on August first, from The New York Times, quote

(22:51):
Representative James Comer of Kentucky, the chair of the House
Oversight Committee, said the panel would delay its planned deposition
of Gilaine Maxwell well the long time ass suit of
Jeffrey Epstein, but that it would not grant her immunity
to testify. In a letter to Maxwell's lawyers, Comer said
the committee was willing to move her deposition, which had

(23:12):
initially been scheduled for August eleventh at a federal prison
in Tallahassee, Florida, until after September twenty ninth, when the
Supreme Court will consider at a private conference whether to
review Maxwell's appeal in her sex trafficking case, which I
talked about a little bit more in detail last week. Now, finally,

(23:32):
on August first came this announcement. Announcement the Corporation for
Public Broadcasting will shut down and also this is from
The New York Times. The company is among the first
casualties of a vote to strip roughly five hundred million
in federal funding from NPR, PBS and local stations across

(23:55):
the country. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting said Friday that
it was shut down next year, effectively ending its half
century role as a backer of NPR, PBS, and local
radio and TV stations across the United States. The organization
will continue to support public broadcasters through a transition period

(24:16):
that will end in January, said Patricia Harrison, its president
and chief executive, in a statement. Quote Public media has
been one of the most trusted institutions in American life,
providing educational opportunity. Let's remember that it's the Muppets and
the Muppet Show on PBS that many of our children

(24:38):
grew up on, she said, providing educational opportunity, emergency alerts,
civil discourse, and cultural connection to every corner of the country.
Miss Harrison said, we are deeply grateful to our partners
across the system for their resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication
to serving the American people and the article continues, the

(25:02):
Corporation for Public Broadcasting has been in the cross hairs
of Republicans for decades. Conservative policy advocates, legislators, and presidents
argued persistently that the public shouldn't be responsible for financing
media they perceived as having a liberal bias. I'm not
quite sure what they mean, presidents argued, As far as

(25:23):
I know, the only president that has argued persistently that
the public shouldn't be responsible for financing media they perceived
as having a liberal bias is President Trump anyway. The
article concludes, but repeated attempts to defund public broadcasters failed
until this year. So you know, back to the August

(25:50):
first announcement by Donald Trump that he was going to
kill the Messenger, just after the sun mercury retrograde conjunction
and the first quarter waxing square. It takes us also
into the influence of uranus again newly in Gemini since

(26:13):
July seventh, and how already information that we used to
consider coming from reputable sources is now becoming superficial and
or less trustworthy in terms of whether it's truly factual
or not. And we've been watching this happen for a
long time on social media, but it seems to me,
and this is only anecdotal, of course, that these past

(26:34):
few weeks since Uranus's entrance into Geminar, that there's been
more information containing questionable veracity passed, not just by right
wing conspiracy theorists or Maga Trump lovers who may be synonymous,
but rather by well meaning liberals. My contention is that
if we look at the lowest end of the archetypal

(26:54):
meanings of Uranus and Mercury ruled Gemini, then we see
rapid dissemination of non fact vital information based on mere
perspective but not on actual research into you know, sources
that are factual that more and more people, regardless of
their political affiliation or lack thereof, do not seem to

(27:16):
care to source before posting. Now, don't get me wrong.
One of the reasons I'm noting this is that I've
done it too, so I'm not judging anyone else. I'm
simply observing and commenting on what I both experienced and
what I'm seeing in increased measure. And remember, I mean
I've been on the editorial side of the publishing industry
since nineteen eighty nineteen eighty one, but really eighty three,

(27:40):
when I started reporting as a trade journalist for various
different publications, you know, in my first fifteen years of experience.
I then went on to be a marketing manager for
a charity Easter Seals affiliate New Jersey, and then subsequently
as a book editor for the self publishing it industry.

(28:00):
But what I'm trying to point out here is that
this is dangerous and also related to what I've spoken
about here before, which is the uh, the Pluto. Oh,
I'm sorry, I thought it said Pluto, which is the
progressed lunar new moon which occurred at nineteen pisces in

(28:24):
the US Sibley's birth chart in that that chart's third
house of communication and local neighborhoods, leading to massive confusion,
and that this seems to be more obvious every day
as this cycle continues to unfold. I don't think we'll
see any real progress or real I mean, I'm not
sure what's going to happen. I mentioned a couple of

(28:45):
podcasts ago about this progressed lunar new moon, but which
happened back in March of twenty twenty four. The issue
will present its greatest tension when that cycle squares, which
is going to be roughly seven years from twenty twenty four,
so we still have quite a way to go. But

(29:07):
there's also something I found really interesting, so I thought
I had mentioned here, which is that Rachel Maddow on
her July twenty first show on MSNBC, devoted some time
to debunk the things that have been said about her,
particularly on Facebook. Now I personally have seen some of these.
You know, this is a couple of weeks ago, right,

(29:28):
and some of you may have two on Facebook in particular,
they said she was leaving an MSNBC to start her
own network. And when I tried to source that, I
couldn't find any verification of it. So what happened was
Rachel Maddow obviously took matters into her own hands during

(29:49):
her July twenty first show, And this is how MSNBC
advertised this particular show quote. Rachel Maddow takes a look
at the sudden flood of artificial intelligence generated fake stories
on social media, using false stories with her at the
center as examples. These false stories have her doing everything

(30:10):
from rescuing Texas flood victims to having a baby to
starting her own news network, none of which are true.
The lesson is that now more than ever, it is
important to check the source of anything you see or read.
And I think I may have mentioned before that because

(30:30):
I was a business journalist in the past, the big
phrase in the editorials that you know departments is always
go to the source. Only in cases like Watergate's deep throat,
you know, do you not name your source. But it's
not even about the naming of the source. It's that

(30:52):
you can verify that the saw source has in authentic,
factual information. And that's usually done as you go back
to the source and then you check with other sources
who have knowledge of that particular subject. And then there's
the removal of references to Trump's two impeachments at the
Smithsonian Museum of History this week, which after public complaints,

(31:16):
the museum has now restored, and by August seventh. It
was the removal from the government's website of the certain
sections of the Constitution that from these websites, which are
maintained by the US Congress, and as this was reported
recently by several news outflips, so specifically sections nine to ten,

(31:38):
along with a large portion of section eight of Article
one were reported to be missing from the online version
of the Constitution annotated. These sections deal with the powers
of Congress, the powers denied to Congress, and the powers
denied to individual states. Notably, the sections included references to
habeas corpus, a fundamental write that protects individuals from unlawful detention.

(32:04):
The Library of Congress, which maintains the website, attributed the
missing sections to a quote coding error. They stated that
an inadvertently removed XML tag caused the problem during an
update to reflect the latest Supreme Court opinions on Article one.
The Library of Congress has since corrected the issue and

(32:26):
the full text of the Constitution is now available on
their website. So my point, how can we trust what's
coming out of the government, particularly if we are becoming
conditioned to not questioning sources when we see something on
social media. Now, we've had a long time in training

(32:47):
for this, and it's not a good omen. And unfortunately
it you know, I foresee over the next seven years
with AI getting more and more news and you know already,
as I mentioned either last week or the week before
on my podcast, when you google something now the first

(33:08):
thing you see is an ai answer, and that answer
maybe one hundred percent accurate and factual, but there is
no telling unless you source it further. So that's all
I'm going to say, except for the fact that even
critical thinkers and people with experience in you know, checking sources,

(33:32):
can screw up sometimes, as I have done in the past,
most recently. But this whole subject prompts me to once
again quote from renowned astrologer Dane Rudgers' book The Astrological Houses,
published in nineteen seventy two. Bear in mind here he's
talking about the third House, but that this house is

(33:53):
naturally ruled by Mercury's Gemini. The sign through which Urinus
is passing for the next seven years goes as follows.
Quote Third House knowledge should be transformed into Fourth House power.
It is possible to stop looking for more knowledge too soon,
so that personal integration and power to perform individual acts

(34:16):
may be too narrow and ordinary. It is also possible
to keep on acquiring data which cannot be constructively and
significantly integrated into one's system of living and worldview, and
this can lead to various types of catastrophes. Our whole
Western society, he continues, is following this latter course, and

(34:41):
may reach a stage at which it will suffocate in mass,
in a mass of unassimabble data and the neurotic compulsion
to have and to know more and more of what
it can no longer integrate within a wholesome and harmonious
philosophy of being. So I mean, it speaks for itself.

(35:03):
I mean there's a little bit of a grandiose way
of saying this, but too much information coming at you
too quickly is not conducive to being able to integrate
it into your life. And it occurred to me that
you know, shortly after posting last week's podcast that since
we've again experienced only the beginning of eurys uranus is

(35:25):
seven year journey through Murcury wrled Gemini starting a month ago,
that we are already experiencing a rapid change of perspective,
or so at least it seems to me. And how
between the July twenty fourth Leo new moon, the August
first Scorpio moon Leo sun square first quarter square, and
tomorrow's August ninth Aquarius full moon, we've seen a growing

(35:49):
illustration of the independent movement to protect the rights of
people in alignment with the mission of this month's lunar
cycles message to us. But how we've also been seeing,
particularly with that's with the squares of Venus to Neptune
and Saturn and the the inferior conjunction of mercury of

(36:11):
Sun to mercury retrograde, that this is, you know, not
particularly going to be easy in terms of our navigating
Uranus in Gemini on a personal level. Of course, depending
on where it's transitting in your chart, what it's aspecting

(36:32):
house it's in, it can be a huge boon to you,
you know, because it can it can increase the neural
connectivity of symnats, synapses and neurons, the dopamine in the brain,
and you can have revelations galore, you know, but you
can also jump to conclusions too quickly, not based on
factual information, but based rather on other people's perspectives and opinions.

(36:59):
So to me, the biggest telltale signs of the change
in perspective that's been occurring, particularly over this past month,
if not before that, and the need for us all
to protect the rights of all people as individuals. As

(37:21):
I just said, in alignment with the mission of this
month's lunar cycle. The biggest telltale sign, I believe is
the Epstein scandal, which again how Keith Oldmen was calling
Trump Stein and how previous Trump supporters, including those who
voted for him and those pardoned by him for their
January sixth crimes, have now begun to turn against him

(37:42):
over this issue. Now, none of this is new news,
but I'm just trying to relate it to the astrology. Obviously.
In addition, doesn't it seem strange that as this has
been happening, the two political sides, pro and anti Trump
both have begun to find themselves on the same side.
Whether they realize it or not, they seem to be

(38:04):
establishing common grounds. So, even though this may be for
different reasons, with Democrats and those on the left aware
of the dangers this Trump administration has posed from the beginning,
it does again symbolize the archetypal energy of Uranus and Gemini,
because this is a rapid change in perspective. So you

(38:26):
know when Marjorie Taylor Green starts calling the situation in
Goza genocide, and you know when previously I don't think
she's supported backing the Ukraine or I'm not sure about Israel,
but I mean, you know, it just seems like a
head turner, right. But take for example, also the Texas

(38:51):
State Democratic legislators crossing the borders as they left their
state to prevent jerry mandering of Texas apps that would
disempower its voters. Now this is part and parcel of
the Saturn and Neptune and ares running neck and neck,
and how they've begun to dissolve our previously foundational boundaries,

(39:12):
which I've spoken about before and earlier in this podcast,
within both our US domestic international partnerships, and that this
has led to sudden changes in the way we view
these partnerships. So but it's, you know, it's this transgression
of boundaries which started, as I noted earlier, with Saturn

(39:35):
in Pisces while Neptune was in Pisces. But it's become
more militaristic since they're entrance into areas and even though
they're both retrograde right now, which gives us all an
opportunity to review them before they move back into Pisces.
So you know, this dissolution of you know, the federal

(39:57):
government versus the states, the federal government versus groups of
people with Pluto and Aquarius and the just these crazy
kind of goings on. Right. So, so we have these
Texas legislators who refused to vote during their special leg

(40:18):
legislative session on gerrymanderd maps that would remove five districts
from Democrat majority and put them in Republican majority areas,
which is what Trump is pushing them to do. So
they fled the state, moving across state lines and were
I guess, for lack of a better word, housed slash

(40:41):
protected by Illinois state Governor Pritzker. Now I find it ironic.
I don't know if anybody else has considered this that,
you know, with all since Trump came into office and
all this stuff, with you know, appointing billionaire Elon Musk

(41:02):
to get rid of waste, fraud and abuse in the
federal government. And he's clearly a billionaire, that Governor Pritzker,
who is a Democratic governor but also a billionaire because
it's his family that owns the Hyatt hotels. That it's
quite an irony that these two in some weird way

(41:27):
are sort of symbolically pitted against each other, and that
we've gotten to this point in this country's trajectory of
capitalism that has caused such a severe gap between the
rich and the poor, where it's the billionaires who call
the shots. So it's just kind of like depends on
your perspective about which billionaire you back to do things

(41:51):
that others are not capable of doing a particularly financially
right because they don't have the money. So of course
there was first Elon Musk's helming of DOGE Department of
Government Efficiency, part of the cause of the poor employment
statistics that Trump just fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner.

(42:15):
For since as many as almost two hundred thousand civilian
federal workers, or twelve percent of the two point four
million workforce, have either been fired or given early retirement.
And by the way, that early retirement is now costing
the government twenty two billion dollars at this point because
the federal government has calculated that. So now the federal

(42:40):
and state government separation is widening. And there was this
on August sixth, which was the day that Mars moved
into Libra, which last week I said I hope would
probably be a harbinger of motivation to achieve more negotiated

(43:01):
and ballast relationships or partnerships. But now I realize it's
also at this lou nation going or now actually is
going to oppose Saturn. So I'm going to talk about
that in a minute. But anyway, on August sixth six
this was reported a Newsweek quote Donald Trump issues FBI
warning to fleeing Texas Democrats. President Donald Trump said the

(43:25):
FBI quote may have to end quote get involved to
locate Texas Democrats who fled the state to block redrawn
US house maps sought by the President. Trump made the
remarks during a news conference on Tuesday after being asked
about Republican Senator John Cornyan's request that the FBI helped
find and arrest Democrats. Now Cornan, of course is up

(43:48):
for reelection and has an opponent, and he's just trying
to prove his loyalty to Trump with this kind of bs.
But you know, there's just there's just I mean, summer stuff.
Here's another change in perspective from within the government which

(44:09):
I don't think anyone but the most die hard vaccine
deniers could back, and that is Robert F. Kennedy Junior's
halting of five hundred billion dollars for vaccine development. And
here we have what I've spoken about in the past,
which is, you know, a kind of dissolution in in

(44:30):
you know, not only governmental foundation of protecting their citizens
from health diseases, but also something that probably So this
is from the Associated Press on August sixth, and it

(44:51):
says the Department of Health and Human Services will cancel
contracts and pull funding for some vaccines that are being
developed to fight respiratory viruses like COVID nineteen and the flu.
Robert F. Kennedy Junior announced in a statement Tuesday that
twenty two projects totaling five hundred million will help to
develop vaccines USINGMRNA technology will be halted. Okay, so I

(45:20):
just realized that I made a mistake, Maya Koppa. I'm sorry.
I said five hundred billion, when clearly it is far
less than that. It is five hundred million regardless, just
to finish up. Kennedy's decision, according to the AP, to
terminate the projects is the latest in a string of
decisions that have put the long term vacine long time

(45:42):
vaccine critics doubts about shots into full effect at the
nation's Health department. So the boundaries between real science and
conspiracy science theorists has now been flooded okay and overrun

(46:04):
and dissolved ap continues. Kennedy has pulled back recommendations around
the COVID nineteen shots, fired the panel that makes vaccine
recommendations and refuse to offer a vigorous endorsement of vaccinations
as a measles outbreak worsened. So enough said on that count.

(46:25):
All right again, the United States government is imploding and
headed for potential annihilation under the US Pluto return. All right, now,
let me switch off to talking about the future, and
before we end in the next ten minutes or so,

(46:47):
so before we reach tomorrow's Aquarius full moon, which actually
happens in the dead of night because it occurs at
exactly seventeen degrees and zero minutes of Uranus ruled Aquarius,
the sign of freedom, humanitarian progress, and independence for all
groups of people, regardless of their differences, and this occurs

(47:08):
at twelve to fifty five am Pacific time and three
point fifty five am Eastern time. We have a Mars
Saturn opposition tonight on August eighth. Now, this opposition between Mars,
the ruler of Ares now in Libra, and Saturn in
aries highlights the frustration already being felt since Saturn entered

(47:30):
Aries in late May. Here is astrologer Rob Hand's description
of this Mars Saturn opposition, again from his book Planets
in Transit, which I would extend to the whole of
the time that Saturn transits through Aries, which aside from
its current retrograde into Pisces from September first of this
year through February fourteenth, twenty twenty six, portends that we

(47:54):
will experience, at least collectively a great deal of frustration. OVA.
This is an extremely irritating transit, requiring great patience and forbearance,
as well as willingness to keep yourself in the background
for a while. The problems you are likely to encounter
with this transit include the following irritability, often justified by

(48:16):
others' actions, a tendency toward a slow burn rather than
explosive anger, annoying ego conflicts, and a general sense of
inadequacy about yourself visa the others. And he continues, one
particularly serious psychological problem that you may have to contend
with now is that others will hit you in your

(48:37):
psychological weak spots. Usually, when someone does something that makes
you mad, you simply get angry and say or do
something about it. However, under this transit, the attack is
made in such a way that you feel incapable of
really hitting back, so you internalize the hurt and suffer
according or at least you suffer accordingly, or at least

(48:59):
that is what you want to do. But the proper
response is to recognize that the other person's act has
hurt you in some way, and then to air your grievance.
Holding in your anger will only make you feel more
angry as well as inadequate. End quote. Now, I've noticed
that those with Mars Saturn conjunction square or opposition the

(49:20):
frictional aspects often do well by working off their frustrations
through physical hard work such as exercise particularly helpful or weightlifting,
boxing or kickboxing, jogging, rowing, swimming, or any other strenuous activity,
as it helps let out innertention of building frustrations so
that it doesn't internalize as depression or some other kind

(49:44):
of physical debilitation. Now, in lieu of physical activity, or
which many of us may not be able to do,
hard work of any sort, mental, emotional, spiritual, et cetera
can also do the trick, as evolutionary astrologers Steve and
Forest often recommends about this combo of astrological energies, particularly

(50:06):
when they're frictionally aligned. You can choose depression or you
can choose exhaustion. So whether you're literally building something on
the material plane, exercising out your frustrations, or working hard
mentally on solving a problem or devising a plan, these
go a long way to avoiding the potential negative effects
of a Saturn neptune transit. Meanwhile, I'm sorry of a

(50:32):
Mars neptune transit. Meanwhile, Mars also opposes neptune in areas
just following the exact Aquarius full moon, also interpreted by
Rob Hand as normally quote rather debilitating and likely to
make us feel discouraged and inadequate in the face of
life's daily demands. End quote, physical energy can be low,

(50:56):
which can open the door to potential illness. So advice
is to quote avoid any situation that will place undue
stress upon the body, because quote infections and fevers are
a possibility if you let your body get run down. Okay,
So forgive me, or rather bear with me here as
I attempt to look at this a bit more symbolically

(51:17):
rather than literally. Given the current state of political affairs
here in the US. I'm thinking, especially given the context
around the still existing energies of our current US Pluto return,
which is intended to evolve us by bringing a long
term hidden infection to the surface, one which has been
festering underneath like a boil. And that's the state of

(51:41):
our current capitalist democratic republic to date. As wealth inequality
has increased substantially since the post civil rights movement of
the nineteen sixties and seventies, and as we move toward
a less pluralistic, diverse population where all members are considered
equal humans under the Trump administration, you know, the one

(52:02):
where diversity, equity, and inclusion are now banned on a
federal level. And as such, these new policies deny citizens
their rights as proclaimed in the US Declaration of Independence
from July fourth, seventeen seventy six, based on the fact
that quote all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among

(52:26):
these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness end quote.
Of course, what's been festering under the surface for the
better part of two hundred and fifty years now is
that all men does not and never has include everyone
such as black and brown people, women, LGBTQ community members, immigrants, etc.

(52:50):
So back to the Mars Neptune opposition and its other
connotations again is per rob Hand. He warns to be
careful of those who try to deceive us, remember the
firing of the BLS Commissioner on how future governmental statistics
are to be taken with a grain of salt, if
taken at all at this point, probably better to rely

(53:13):
on private economic and statistical data derived from reputable and
reliable industry resources rather than from the government, or at
least to make sure one compares the two before taking
the government statistics as the gospel truth. Hand recommends also
not to engage in any devious actions, but also quote

(53:36):
to face the unpleasant consequences of past actions, especially if
one is tempted to turn your back and pretend they
didn't happen. He further advises not taking refuge in drugs
or alcohol, as they merely represent escapism, and instead recommends
taking quote, a good look at your past actions and
to face them and take whatever action is necessary, as

(53:59):
though you may not feel even though you may not
feel very good about that right now, the situation will
improve later on. So since these transits combine at the
Aquarius full moon, which alone increases tensions with our partners,
given that it's square to Juno in Scorpio, Let's not

(54:22):
forget also that Trump's tariffs went into effect on August seventh,
thus alienating many of our former trading partners for no
reason other than some delusionary wishful thinking that this time around,
tariffs won't increase import Texas on domestic businesses, who will
then simply pass the cost onto their consumers, and that

(54:44):
right now there's nothing we can do about that. Now.
There's a lot of talk at Disclination about the Lion's
portal and stuff like that, but a lot of reputable
astrologers are saying that has nothing to do with traditional astrology.
It's just something that has a more modern connotation. And
I didn't even bother to look into it at all.

(55:05):
But as I'm looking at this lunation's chart again, the
Aquarius moon opposing this the Leos sun has the people
the mundane interpretation of the moon groups of people opposing
as I said earlier on shining the light or reflecting

(55:26):
the light of the sun back to itself and showing
it its shadow side. So what's the shadow side of
Leo arrogance, acting like royalty, acting like you're the king
or the queen. You're large and in charge, excessive pride, hubris,
which are all part of you know, arrogance and was
the fatal flaw from Greek drama, you know, from the

(55:47):
times of Greek drama. And it squares, you know, the
sign of the wife or the partner in Leo's in
the Leo Sun's house. Actually this is in the chart
of Washington, d C. And Juno in Scorpio, I think
can be compared to the hell hath no fury like

(56:07):
a woman scorned. Right, So we've got groups of people
who are shining the light back onto Leo's Sun, that
the Leo Sun is denying them their individual rights right
and that the square, the t square that's being formed
to Juno in Scorpio is saying, you know, this is
where the tension lies. Are we partners in this government?

(56:30):
Is it a government of the people, by the people,
and for the people, or is it a government run
by one Leo's son king. Clearly this has been in
the atmosphere in the collective since Trump's inauguration on January twentieth.
But this lunation, I think you know, is with the
Mars opposition from early Leo to Saturn and Neptune in

(56:54):
areas is very much a frustrating situation right now. And
that according to a lot of what I've been saying,
especially the definitions of these Mars, Saturn and Neptune oppositions
by Rob Hand, who I trust completely, is that we
have to have patients, we have to go slow, and

(57:18):
it is now a time Juno in Scorpio is a
time to make plans. In the Fifth House in Washington,
d C. It is a time to be creative. So
we know that this lunation began with the Leo new moon,
which says you and I and all of us are
individual creative beings and when we get together as a group,

(57:42):
we can all help each other with each of our
areas of specific expertise to come up with a plan
that will alleviate our frustrations, alleviate feeling like we have
no say in anything now. Venus and Jupiter are lined
at this point too, and Jupiter is now conjoined to

(58:04):
the natal Us Sun, which to me, within the Siviy
chart at thirteen cancer the sun in the Siby charters
thirteen nineteen, and at this lunation Jupiter is at thirteen
twenty seven of cancer. So to me, this is a
symbol along with Venus coming up also to conjoin the Sun.
She's now at ten degrees at this lunation, at thirty

(58:26):
nine minutes of cancer. Is that how much is too much? Right?
When Jupiter and Venus get together, it's over overkill? Right?
How much power is too much power? And where is
the power to the people? So I'm going to end
now because you know it's a given that we're feeling

(58:48):
frustrated based on feeling like there's nothing we can do
right now, and you know that we're watching things implode
as that we used to count on, especially from the
US government. So you know we need to bide our time.

(59:09):
Understand that this aquerus full moon tells us again it's
not over till it's over. As I stated previously, And
when groups push back against authority figures, often they get results.
Some have already happened. But it's clear that this is
now and is going to be for the future an
ongoing problem. Checking out once in a while is fine.

(59:31):
Take a break from social media, and when you go back,
brush up on identifying what's from a reputable source and
what's bs even if it seems to be coming from
a reputable or liberal source. But most of all, remember
there's safety in numbers. And that disclunation is telling us
now that as former partners with the federal government, we're

(59:54):
not going to give up our rights without a fight.
We may not have the plan ultimately to get Yet,
you know, I didn't mention, and I meant to that
that Mercury's stationing direct on August eleventh. We'll talk more
about that next week. But it's time to move forward yet,
you know, it's time to move forward slowly. And here's

(01:00:18):
what Aaron Sullivan says in her book Retrograde Planets. The
station direct of Mercury is the scene of another threshold struggle.
All planetary stations are loaded with potential and power, but
Mercury direct is particularly intense, I'm sorry, particularly tense. If
one has been in sync with the cycle, then the
alterations necessary during the early stages of the direction will

(01:00:40):
have been anticipated and prepared for. Clearly that's not true
of the US government. So you know, then they can
be incorporated into the psyche and the environment. The direction
of mercury is the indicator that it is time to
engage in observation and begin to pay attention. So as

(01:01:02):
I was saying, we may not have the plan together yet,
we may need more time, but as more and more
individuals and groups are affected, we're not going down without
a fight. Now is the time to gather the strength
for that fight so that we won't be in it
with one hand tied behind our back. All right, I'm
way over on time, So thank you everyone for joining

(01:01:22):
me today. I hope you found the information here helpful
as you continue your karmic evolution in this lifetime. Please

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
