CANCER NEW MOON JUNE 25: SELF-PROTECTIVE REACTIONS TO EXTERNAL THREATS

This week’s podcast reviews the major astrological energies affecting us right now—including the ongoing global realignment of partnerships, authoritarian restrictions against individual freedoms, the transgression of previously established boundaries, and the potential of the U.S.’s involvement in war, to name a few.
Since Israel’s  attacks on Iran began on June 13, & the Sun’s entrance into Cancer at the summer solstice on June 20 (where he joined Jupiter & Mercury there), & Mars in Virgo, the U.S. decided to join also attack Iran on June 21 as we approach the Cancer New Moon on June 25.
Sensitivity is the name of the game right now, whether we overreact due to hyper sensitivity & lash out, or whether we run and hide to avoid any future pain. As the Sun & Moon conjoin at 4’08” Cancer, they both join Jupiter at 3 degrees Cancer to form a square to both Saturn & Neptune in Aries, which inserts an element of confusion into whether transgressing Iran’s boundaries by dropping bombs on their nuclear facilities was at all successful.
This Sun/Moon/Jupiter conjunction has lent itself to massive over enthusiasm that the “obliteration” of any nuclear threat from Iran, which may well turn out to be false. Similarly, their squares to Saturn/Neptune in Aries may highlight the hubristic nature of America’s unquestioning trust in Israel’s vaguely defined assessment that this threat was (or is) imminent over America’s own intelligence assessment which concluded that this is currently not the case.
This podcast look at the astrological energies leading up to this point where Iran has now retaliated against the U.S. base Al Udeid in Qatar located close to the Iranian border, and whether threats by Iran to actually close the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping are real or exaggerated.
We explore the triggered effects of the Mars/Uranus square which perfected on June 15, and how it’s brought us to this point of sudden warfare. And the effects of the Jupiter/Saturn square which has pitted old, restrictive conservatives against the young progressives a la the mythological battle between Zeus & Cronos, aka, Jupiter & Saturn. 
Further, we explore the meaning of the two yods, or fingers of fate, formed now since the June 20 entrance of the Sun into Cancer at the summer solstice & which will reverberate still through the upcoming Cancer New Moon at 4’08” Cancer at 3:32 a.m. PT & 6:32 p.m. on June 25. 
Voices--of both protestors against and adherents for war--may get louder as Mercury enters Leo on June 26, while Mercury’s trine to Neptune late June 27 or early June 28, depending on your time zone, may make it easier for some to swallow as true anything from denials to complete fabrications. 
By the time Mercury opposes Pluto on June 29, we’ll have a recurrence of the natal energy of the U.S. Sibly birth chart’s 8th House Mercury opposite its 2nd House Pluto. So keep any eye what’s happening by then with Congress’s budget reconciliation bill currently stuck in the Senate as the GOP continues to believe that it can make tax cuts for the wealthy permanent at the expense of removing health care and more from U.S. citizens.
This podcast includes how Uranus at 29-degrees of Taurus, known as the Pleiades point, may well result in metaphorical “blindness” about the potential negative results of actions taken now. At least until they become obvious in the future, since Uranus will hit this degree again not once, but twice before the end of May 2026. Will we wake up to where we’ve been blind to what’s been going on around us and begin to “see" the reality/truth? Only time will tell…

late afternoon early evening, we lost power because here in
Central Jersey, I'm only about forty five minutes outside of
Man and there was some strange weather occurrence that tended

to look a little like a hurricane or a tornado
that only lasted about ten minutes or so. You could
see the trees blowing wildly, and you know that it
was a good idea to stay inside. But what happened,
as any of you regular listeners might remember, is that
as Uranus we were approaching the the Pliades point, which

can represent blindness of twenty nine degrees in taurists, we
lost our power. And that was true for the whole
town and this you know, immediate area. So I was
kind of laughing about how it's so funny that that
happened at that precise time, and so we were in

(02:50):
the dark just before I was about to record my
podcast and send it in for it to be uploaded,
that there was no power where my computer lost power,
you know, and I couldn't get the internet. You know.
Back to the Hurricane Sandy days in twenty thirteen, when

we lived through you know, ten days or something. Now,
I think it was about a week of no power.
And I know this has happened numerous times in numerous
areas throughout the United States and other global areas based
on the weather, so it was just really kind of
unusual and weird. But anyway, we lost power for over

(03:30):
twenty four hours, and I sat out the weekend, during
which so much changed that I ended up having to
pretty much scuttle what I'd written that I was going
to talk about on June twentieth as we approached the
summer solstice, et cetera, and have revised it to really
update it two more recent events, which include, of course,

the fact that you know the US is now at war,
even though they say they're not so. Anyway, to go
back to my normal intro, r oh, let me just
remind everybody that my belief is that the universe is
benign and that it has no vested interest in making
any of us suffer, and that rather it provides us

with opportunities every moment of every day to grow in consciousness,
and that it's simply up to each of us individually
to recognize such moments, and sometimes that comes through synchronicities,
and sometimes that involves interpreting the world around you symbolically

rather than simply literally, et cetera. And in any case,

there's a ton of news this week, all of you know,
there was a ton of news last week. Things have
been fast and furious, especially since the Mars You're in
a square we approached it and now in the fallout
from it, same with the Jupiter Saturn square. And so

I'm not going to rehash too much of what we
all probably know based on leading up to June thirteenth,
fourteenth fifteenth, when we had the exact Mars You're in
a square and the exact Saturn Jupiter I'm sorry, Jupiter
Saturn square on the fifteenth, That Israel attacked Iran on

(07:04):
June thirteenth, That we had the No Kings Day protests
in the United States and in some global areas as
well on the fourteenth, along with Trump's military parade, and
then you know the couple other things which I will
go on to talk about now. So let's orient ourselves

(07:26):
first and remember that we're right now today It's the
twenty third of June, still in the weaning stages of
the May twenty sixth Gemini New Moon lunar phase, which
asked us to plant seeds that allow us to listen
to and understand others' perspectives, so that we might at
the least accept another's point of view and at the

(07:47):
most change our own opinions or perspectives based on having
been introduced to new information and information I might add
that has widened our overall knowledge. So this was then
followed by the Sagittarius full moon on June eleventh, where
we were asked to release the shadow side of Gemini Energy,

(08:09):
which can often manifest as utilizing short term tactics in
lieu of planning an overall long term strategy. Now, the
former tends to represent a focus on winning a particular
individual battle, while the latter seeks to develop an overall
strategy that can be victorious by winning the entire war,

(08:31):
and Gemini Energy is often concerned with short term local issues,
while the Sagittarius full moon reminded the Gemini Sun that
you know, this is all well and good, but there's
a whole wider world and bigger picture out there that
needs to be not only acknowledged but considered in one's
long term planning. So the question is what is that

(08:51):
bigger picture. Well, as I've explained before, it's the larger
astrological cycles that take precedence over the short order ones,
which act more as triggers. So from the Saturn Pluto
cycle which began at twenty two degrees and forty six
of Saturn ruled Capricorn on January twelfth of twenty twenty,

(09:12):
to the Jupiter cycle Saturn that began at zero degrees
in twenty nine minutes of Aquarius on December thirty first
of twenty twenty. Both of them just reached their squares.
They're opening waxing squares of the sonatic cycle on June fifteenth,

(09:34):
and two Neptune's entrance into Mars ruled areas which occurred
on March thirtieth, where he's going to remain until March
of twenty thirty nine. So again my point, these are
two large sonatic cycles, three large cycles that are long term,
and we are operating now under their auspices. So we

(09:56):
have now also of course Pluto and Aquarius until March
eighth of twenty forty three. Neptune remains in areas from
now until May twenty first, twenty thirty eight. I said,
twenty thirty nine. I think that's when it goes into
it permanently. But that May twenty first, twenty twenty third,
twenty thirty eight is when Neptune first dips its toe

into Taurus and then retrogrades back. And we also have Uranus,
which will be entering Gemini on July seventh, in less
than like two weeks until August third of twenty thirty two.
Now bear in mind these days I just gave you
are for the first days these planets dip their toes

(10:39):
into the new sign, but does not include their retrograde
periods until they enter those signs for the long haul. So,
like I said, in the example of Neptune, he'll go
into Taurus May twenty first, twenty thirty eight, and then
retrograde back into Areas and then re enter the Tourus

(11:01):
for the longer term in March of twenty thirty nine.
But right now, what we're beginning to see for ourselves
is that major changes at hand. And those of you
who obviously listen to far more than just this podcast,
understand that Nostrology has been talking about this for months now.
They've been talking about these changes at least since the
beginning of the year, if not before. So I'm a

(11:23):
little late to look at it in terms of its totality.
But the changes at hand come in terms of the
global realignment of nations under the Saturn Pluto cycles energies,
and in terms of the Jupiter Saturn cycle. They're based
on the tension now between the old, more restrictive authorities
attempting to rule over people read Saturn, and the more inclusive, younger,

(11:48):
progressive population which represents Jupiter, you know, higher thinking, higher
education philosophy, you know, looking at the world as a whole. Again.
Saturn is more fearful of change and there for fearful,
fearful of the future, tries to have things remain as

(12:09):
they always were, where Jupiter is again more all encompassing
and wants to look at everything and it understands that
there's always a bigger picture. Now this has all happened
as Pluto and Aquarius has already shown us how groups
of people will take to the streets to protest being disempowered.

(12:32):
Pluto is about empowerment versus disempowerment by the powers that be,
such as the aforementioned June fourteenth No Kings Day protests,
which drew between five and six million protesters onto the
streets nationwide throughout the United States. And of course I've
already mentioned the US Pluto returns, so I'm not going

(12:53):
to go into that in detail. Again in the past
couple of podcasts, I've harped on that pretty well, I think,
and the fact that that's a once in every two
hundred and fifty year conjunction of Pluto transiting Pluto to
the natal Pluto in the US Sibley chart and at
twenty seven thirty three Capricorn, which again I had already

(13:14):
mentioned numerous times, I believe the energies of that began
when Pluto was approaching transit. Pluto was approaching the natal
Pluto but not yet conjoined to it on January sixth
of twenty twenty one, which was an insurrection, which was
a coup, and that is tantamount to the first shots
fired in the United States Revolutionary War against the British

(13:36):
on April nineteenth of seventeen seventy five. So in the
shorter term, aside from these larger term cycles, there's Santner's
entrance into Mars ruled Ares, which happened on May twenty fourth,
where he's transitting close to Neptune and ares until the
two officially meet and can join on February twenty sixth

(13:58):
next year of twenty twenty six and thus far this
cycle has represented a Saturnine restriction on boundaries of the
Neptunian free flow of movement by the collective. We're seeing
this here not only in the US, but also around
the world and nations that want to do things like
expel immigrants or migrants and close their borders. In the US,

(14:21):
Trump's trade tariff so the perfect example of both the
Saturn Pluto and Jupiter Saturn cycles. Saturn Pluto as the
US abandons its trade allies its long term allies, thus
alienating them and causing them to seek out alternative, more
trustworthy partners for trade, and Jupiter Saturn as its effects

(14:43):
take their toll through things like the immigration and customs enforcement,
rounding up immigrants legal or otherwise, and deporting them without
due process. Jupiter, of course, is law and Saturn is
the judge. So it's like the conflict here between expansion
and restriction is that the authorities want to be the judge,

(15:07):
but they're not. Actually the authorities who are are the
legal ones, such as the administration under Trump, or Trump
himself issuing executive orders as though he's the judge bypassing
the courts, and the courts fighting back. I'm not going
to go into it in this podcast because there simply
isn't enough time, But perhaps next week or the week

(15:28):
after we'll do an update on how many cases there
still are and what's happened. One of the big things
that did happen, which does deserve notice, is that Mahmoud Rahalil,
the protester at Columbia University who was picked up on
March third outside his home in Uptown Manhattan, was transported
ultimately to Louisiana to Ice detention, and the judge ruled

(15:52):
that the government had no basis for detaining him, and
they set him free on June was yesterday or the
day before, so I think it was either twenty first
or the twenty second. So he is now home again
with his wife and his newborn baby, and still still
advocating for the thousand people that he says were into

(16:16):
tension with him, most of whom did not or all
of them whom, in his opinion, did not deserve to
be there and were denied due process under the laws
of the United States. Now again the immigrants who've been
rounded up and not given due process will begin or
those who have already been deported summarily without due process

(16:37):
will begin to cause labor shortages as many migrants work
in the agricultural field planting and harvesting our crops. And
there'll be shortages eventually in the hospitality and construction industries,
much of which I don't think have been fully realized yet.
We haven't seen the unemployment numbers yet, also coming out
of the amount of people who've been thrown out of

(17:00):
their federal civil service jobs under DOGE et cetera. So,
and much of this is still in the courts yet,
and not all of it has played out. And there's more,
of course, such as the restrictive effects of allowing foreign
students to travel to access American universities, as the Trump

(17:20):
administration attempts to restrict such movement and isolate America from
the rest of the world. So the question that arises
now as Uranus is at twenty nine degrees of Taurus,
and remember Venus ruled Taurus represents natural resources such as
the earth and its ability to produce food is whether

(17:41):
the powers that be are blind to the repercussions of
what they're attempting to do through such restrictions. We might
remember that when Uranus entered Taurus. Shortly after that it
entered I believe in the spring of twenty eighteen, and
by early twenty twenty two years later we were experiencing

(18:03):
shortages of food and other commodities based on the COVID
nineteen pandemic. Right urin a still in Taurus, about to leave,
but still in Taurus. So I've mentioned before the twenty
nine Taurus is called the Pleiades Point because it's within
the constellation of Taurus, and you know, Taurus the Bull

(18:28):
and mythologically representative of the seven weeping sisters who weep
for their father Atlas, because he's been forced to carry
the weight of the world upon his shoulders by Zeus. Now,
the reason for this is that in Greek mythology, Atlas
fought with the Titans, of which Chronos Saturn Chronos Greek

(18:49):
Saturn Roman name was one, and they fought. He fought
against the Olympian gods who defeated them. This was part
of the whole Jupiter Saturn myth that I was talking
about last week or the week before with the you know,
the the young pitted against the old, the progressives pitted

(19:09):
against the conservatives, which is what's going on right now.
So the twenty nine degree Torus pleiades point has come
to represent blindness, both literally and metaphorically, and here I'd
posit that we're looking at metaphorical blindness. So keep this
in mind, because as Urinus moves into Gemini on July seventh,

(19:29):
he's going to station retrograde on September fifth or sixth,
depending on your time zone, and then move back to
twenty nine Taurus on November seventh. So let's bear in
mind that the next set of US elections, though we're
not yet up to the twenty twenty six midterms, I'm
talking about the elections on November fourth of twenty twenty five.

(19:52):
By then, Urinus will most definitely be slowed down in
anticipation of its actual retrograde station, and it'll remain retrograde
in Taurus until February fourth of twenty twenty six, when
he stations direct again at twenty seven to twenty seven
degrees twenty seven degrees twenty seven minutes of Taurus Now
during that period, Uranus will come within a degree of

(20:15):
conjoining fixed star algall at twenty six degrees and thirty
minutes of Taurus, and then hits the Pleiades point again
starting circa April sixth, until he re enters Gemini again.
I'm sorry, it's gonna go through that whole thing from
around the beginning of the year twenty twenty six till

(20:37):
April twenty sixth of twenty twenty six when he re
enters Gemini. And once he reenters Gemini, he'll still be
within a degree separating from the twenty nine Taurus and
that will go on until about mid May of twenty
twenty six. So in the short term, we have the
fate of Iran's supreme leader, the Ayatola Home, who's reportedly

(21:01):
hold up in a bunker somewhere in Iran, as in
Israel continues its bombing of that nation, which it began
on June thirteenth. Over the long term, however, we have
the political fate of first the Republicans up for reelection,
well the Democrats too, but you know, because the GOP
holds the majority in both the House and the Senate.

(21:25):
So we have the fate of the Republicans up for
reelection in both twenty twenty five and twenty twenty six.
My research shows that the House of Representatives has a
majority of GOP representatives numbering two hundred and twenty and
to two hundred and twelve Democrats, and that there's five

(21:47):
seats up now between now and the twenty twenty five
election that have yet to be filled. So obviously, if
the Republicans were to lose all five, they would go
down to twenty two hundred and fifteen, whereas the Democrats

(22:07):
would go up to two hundred and seventeen. I don't
think that's going to happen, but it is, you know, Urinus,
And there's always a possibility, right And then of course
there's the future popularity or lack thereof during this whole
Pleiades Algohol recurrence, you know, transits of the US president.

(22:28):
So we're looking at two things here. One, a span
of time when our blindness to the repercussion of our actions,
as per the myth of Atlas for siding with the
quote unquote wrong side in a war. More on that
in a minute, may begin to come clear. And two,
a recurrence of the potential for an off with his

(22:50):
head energy to surface again. And let's be mindful of
the fact that the near a Urinus Algol conjunction and
return to twenty nine tourists the Pleiades point will occur
during the primary season for the upcoming November third, twenty
twenty six US midterm elections, whether and it will then

(23:13):
become clear whether American voters will place the hands of
Congress back under the control of the Democrats or not.
So what I was saying is that I don't think
in twenty twenty five in this election that will manage
to pick up the Democrats will manage to pick up
the five seats, but by twenty twenty six that should
become a much stronger possibility, although of course a lot

(23:36):
can happen between now and then. So I want to
mention also that the long term conservative position of denial
about climate change and the connection to this Pliades point
about such blindness as well as the effects of the
Saturn Neptune conjunction in areas, which I believe is contributing

(23:57):
to the even greater warming of the seas, which causes
weather distortions, including drought. And of course you know that's
under the overall heading of climate change and the fact
that you know it's been denied for song and as
per the New York Times are a New York Times

(24:18):
article on June twenty first headlined war, inflation and now
drought are hitting global food supplies, and it goes on
to say staples including wheat, beef, and coffee are all
being affected by the lack of rainfall. In some cases,
prices are climbing to record highs. Around the world, most
people get their calories from three staple grains, rice, wheat,

(24:42):
and corn, which means that weather hazards to places where
they are produced can have big repercussions on food security.
Bad weather in one or two of these regions can
destabilize the global supply, and the article goes on to
say in Brazil, parched coffee farms have affected latte prices everywhere.
In the Midwestern United States, years of poor rains have

(25:05):
led ranchers to coal cattle herds and have raised beef
prices to their highest levels ever. In China, one of
the nation's key weak producing regions, the Yellow River Basin,
is withering under unusually hot, dry conditions. Germany had its
driest spring since nineteen thirty one, though rains in recent

(25:25):
weeks have allayed concerns about its wheat and barley crops.
Ukraine and Russia, rivals on the battlefield, are also facing
the threat of drought for their wheat crops. Both countries
are bread baskets for millions of people far and wide.
I think I had said before, I think the US
imports fourteen percent of its wheat crops and something else

(25:50):
not soy, I have to look it up next week.
But you know, we do get wheat from Ukraine and anyway,
as I said that, both countries of brad Baster's vermilions
far and wide. Morocco, for instance, now in its sixth
year of drought, has relied increasingly on wheat imports from China,

(26:11):
and it ends saying conflicts in Gaza and Yemen, in
addition to Ukraine, have also disrupted the food supply chain,
including by increasing the costs of shipping. Now there's new
conflict between Israel and Iran. So let's go back now
to the more recent past, which includes the fact that

(26:32):
the US is now at war with Iran, despite the
President and his vice president and the acquiescent GOP declaring
that their attack on Iran's nuclear facilities on June twenty
first was a one and done and did not represent
a declaration of war. We might recognize this symbology also

(26:52):
of how when leading up to the June fifteenth exact
mars Uranus Square, we had the politically motivated as assassination
of Minnesota Democratic state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark,
who were shot and killed June fourteenth at their Brooklyn
Park home. There was also the attempted assassination of representative

(27:15):
also Minnesota Representative John Hoffman and his Wifeyvett, who were
critically wounded but are still recovering from these assassination attempts
by a guy named Vance Bolter, who, according to CNN,

(27:40):
investigators found a hit list in assassin Vance Bolter's car
with nearly seventy names, including abortion providers, pro abortion rights advocates,
and lawmakers in Minnesota and other states. A law enforcement
official briefed on the matter told CNN, now, I just
didn't want to gloss over this because I do think
it's very important, and I think it's important to step

(28:03):
back and recognize the symbology of this moment, which is
that we might realize with stark clarity. Now you know,
once I was blind, but now I can see the
beliety's point that an attack on an elected official is
an attack on democracy itself. As many have noted, now
the same is true about the fact that it's clear

(28:24):
that both military and legal issues have been front page
news as Mars wax toward its exact square to Uranus
and Jupiter Square to Saturn on June fifteenth, as we've
witnessed not only Israel's military actions against Iran, which began
on June thirteenth, but also Trump's calling in of the
California National Guard beginning June eighth as Jupiter entered cancer,

(28:47):
and the Marines after Mercury entered cancer to supersede the governor.
The California governor and local police which had what they
have described in retrospect as much smaller protests than the
federal government has has said they were, and that they

(29:09):
were under LA police control, in local people's control. And
then there was the military Birthday parade on June fourteenth,
the assassination of the democratically elected state representative and her husband,
and millions taking to the streets through the US to
protest on No King's Day on June fourteenth, and the

(29:29):
attempted show of four sunt Trump's for seventy ninth birthday
at his expansive and quite useless military parade, which cost
American taxpayers forty five million dollars. I haven't seen the
latest on how much it's going to cost to repair
the Washington d C's roadways, but originally they had estimated
about sixteen million, So we'll see. But next On June seventeenth,

(29:52):
as we waxed toward the third quarter waning crisis and
consciousness square of the Pisse's moon to the Geminis Sun,
and as Jupiter and Cancer waxed toward its exact square
to Neptune and Ais, both of which perfected. On June eighteenth,
President Trump said this about deciding whether or not to
supply Israel with the necessary military equipment to carry out

(30:15):
the bombing of Around's nuclear sites. Quote, I like to
make a final decision one second before it's due, And
on June eighteenth, he noted that he'd decide within the
next two weeks. Now this should not be news to
anyone who follows the news, But let's first note the
nature of the mutable third quarter lunar square in that

(30:38):
Apisce's moon is not particularly clear or direct about how
it feels and his intention with a Gemini sun that
looks only at short term tactics but not at the
long term strategy, and the fact that this is part
