All right, So first of all, before I get into
this week's podcast, let me say that I apologize for
missing last week's podcast, but I was mostly under the
weather at the end of last week and through that weekend.

But I'm back now, so let's get into it. And again,
I've cut the intro a little bit shorter than usual
because there's so much to talk about. I know. Often,
as I've said before in this podcast, I often jot
down and take notes and write my thoughts and astrological opinions.

I usually finished the writing and do the recording, so
much has happened that a lot of what came before
seems to fall by the wayside. So bear in mind
that I can never cover all the news, especially since

the inauguration of Donald Trump here in America, because the
news is so fast and furious. This week, I'm concentrating
more on current events, but I realize that I've left
out a good bit about things like our judiciary and
stuff like that. So this may deal mostly with some
of those basics, but it's still all astrological.

in the waxing portion of the monthly lunar cycle, which
began on July twenty fourth, when we experienced the Leo
new Moon at two degrees and eight minutes of this
Sun ruled fire sign. And what was most significant about
this lunation was that both the Leo moon and Sun

exact opposed Pluto and Aquarius only hours after the lunation
curd By now, I think it's clear to many of
us that the Sun Pluto opposition was a harbinger of
a power struggle between individuals and those in power or
as renowned astrologer Rob Hand wrote about this aspect and

encounters with other persons and circumstances which signify that you
may have power struggles with others, especially persons in authority
in which you will be forced to stand up for

in the face of being confronted by those who not

like US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency known as ICE
under the Homeland Security Department, for which the GOP controlled
Congress greenlit a massive expansion via a huge budget increase
under Trump's Big Ugly Bill passed on July third and

signed into law July fourth, which happened to be the
day that Neptune stationed retrograde in Aries. And again, Neptune
has to do with dissolution. Eh. I've spoken about that
in the past, but enough said for now, and we
remember those who listens podcasts or read other astrologers will

remember that it was one hundred and sixty five years
ago when Nations Sorry Neptune station retrograde in aries. The
day after that that the American Civil War started. Now,
since the Leou Moon wounded healer Chirn stationed retrograde at

the inferior conjunction of the sun to mercury retrograde in
Leo occurred yesterday, on July thirty first. Oh, and I'll
mention that I am recording this on the morning of
August first, rather than my usual the night before. Inferior

conjunction simply means that it happened when in this case
mercury was retrograde rather than direct. And here's what youngie
and astrologer Aaron Sullivan had to say about this stage
of mercury's retrograde. Which marks its halfway point since its
retrograde station on July seventeenth or eighteenth, depending on your

time zone, and its station direct, which is scheduled now
for August eleventh. Mercury at this inferior conjunction point quote
is metaphorically coming home to check in on its status,
and a seed is planted at this time, representing a
new Mercury phase. Sullivan says it marks the time to

rest and recuperate, scaling down initiatory action, and allowing the
unconscious to work. I've said before in past podcasts that
Mercury retrograde periods, aside from all the cautions about not
doing this, that and the other thing, signing contracts, buying
expensive items. You know, people from the past contacting us.

Don't sign I'm sorry, don't buy a house, don't buy
a car. You know, those are signing contracts and all
that stuff that. Psychologically, it represents the period when Hermes,
who was the Greek god messenger god who morphed into
Mercury in Roman times, was the only god who was

allowed to travel between the mount Olympus and the underworld.
When you went into the underworld. During Greek mythyl logical times,
you couldn't come back, right, So Mercury was the only
one who was allowed to do that. And it represents
because mercury is communication, the underworld represents the unconscious. Mount

Olympus represents our higher level of consciousness. It marks a
time when Mercury descends into the underworld in order to
loosen and excavate our soul's true knowledge. What's buried there,
those nuggets of gold that we can bring up into
our higher consciousness and benefit from. Right, So what Sullivan

is saying is that this inferior function. Now we're resting, right,
So she said a time it marks the time to
rest and recuperate, scaling down initiatory action and allowing the
unconscious to work, allowing the unconscious to be brought up
into consciousness. And she says progress is only measured by

reflection on its worth and by lofe looking back to
see how far one has come end quote. So perhaps
this is why we learned on July thirtieth that Kamala
Harris would not be running for California governor in November
of twenty twenty six. Whether she is contemplating another run
for the presidency is hard to say, but it seems
clear that quote what is revealed at the inferior conjunction

stationary direction point. According to Sullivan, she's talking about the
period between now and August eleventh, because the first half

the sun Mercury inferior conjunction to announce his new tariff plans. No,

clearly he does not pay attention to astrology. But if
he did, he might realize that he's driving with his
emergency break on, don't you think? According to the New
York Times on July thirty first, and here I quote,
White House announces sweeping new tariffs for much of the world.
President Trump on Thursday unveiled, which was yesterday unveiled the

battery of new tariffs targeting exports from dust of US
trading partners as he followed through with a disruptive plan
to remake global trade. Steep tariffs on dozens of countries
are now set to snap into place at twelve oh
one a m. August seventh, as the President realizes his
vision for changing trade patterns he has long criticized as unfair.

Tariffs will range as high as fifty percent on some
countries which the President has deemed have unbalanced trade or
have not offered favorable concessions to Washington in recent negotiations.
Now the same day, the New York Times Trade and
international economics reporter Anna Swanson wrote this quote, this really

is an incredible break with historical norms where the United
States worked with other countries to lower tariffs globally and
set low levels for decades. The president is scrapping the
global trading system, in which members of the World Trade
Organization agree to offer each other the same tariff rate
for something of his own devising, where tariffs for different

countries vary widely. Meanwhile, in replacing tariff rates that the
United States negotiated with other countries and that have been
in place for decades, the President is introducing a trading
system of his own imagining, and one that is more
protectionist and isolationists than before Estwar. Pursad, a professor of

trade policy at Cornell University, called it quote a dark
day in the annals of global trade integration, which was
once seen as having so much promise in bringing countries
together around a vision of shared prosperity. Trump has decisively

long time to come, he said. And the article goes
on few nations where spared by mister Trump's orders. That
includes Canada, which would have tariffs on its exports to
the United States increase to thirty five percent from twenty
five percent, although the president exempted all goods traded under

a deal heat brokeer with that country and Mexico during
his first term. While Canada had hoped to remove all
tariffs through negotiations, there was a small amount of relief
when President Trump announced that he was raising his general
tariff against Canadian goods to thirty five percent because all
because of all the goods the tariffs does not cover,

as was the case with the twenty five percent tariff,
it replaces. The thirty five percent tariff will not be
charged on exports that meet the United States, Mexico Canada
agreements definition of North American products which are not tariffed
at all. RBC Economics estimates that that covers about ninety

four percent of the item's Canada exports, so, in other words,
ninety four percent will still be tara free, but it
concludes auto's steel and illuminium. Aluminum, however, remain covered by
other Trump tariffs, and finally, it says Earlier Thursday, Trump
wrote on his social media account that he had concluded

a call with Claudia Shinebaund, Mexico's president, and agreed to
pause any escalation in tariffs on Mexico for ninety days quote,
with the goal of signing a trade deal. This is
part of what earned Trump the name Taco or Trump
always chickens out by the Wall Street Bros. But meanwhile
also tariffs, the latest being fifteen percent for the European

Union and twenty four percent on India. Now, in terms
of India, we have a trade deficit with India of
forty five point eight billion dollars, meaning we import more
from them than we export to them. But the US
brings in a significant amount of pharmaceutical product and electrical
components from India, according to Newsweek, Recent estimates suggest that

Americans buy up to ninety billion dollars a year in
imports from India, including pharmaceutical generic drugs, and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Stones and jewelry meaning diamonds, gold and silver, textiles in apparel, cotton,
knit clothing, bed limnen and towels, industrial and electrical machinery parts,

iron and steel pipes, tubes, and construction materials, auto parts, spices, tea,
and rice. Now the United States' largest exports to China
to I'm sorry, India are crude oil and machinery, including
agricultural and construction equipment. Again, as per Newsweek, which reports
quote with the tariffs announced, analysts are warning that drug

prices could get steeper and technological complications could occur. To
be completely fair, no one knows, not even the President,
when the tariffs will actually be rolled out, even though
he has stated August first, which could change as it
has multiple times in the past. Speculating on the timing
as a losing battle, Kevin Thompson, the CEO of nine

I Capitol Group, told Newsweek what we do know is
that his tariff policy has already put some pressure on countries,
forcing them to spend on their defense. Drug prices could
be impacted at tariffs as tariff's drive up costs, but
the bigger concern is connectivity. Thompson said, the US imports
a large volume of telecom and electrical components used to

power phone and internet networks. If costs rise, providers are
likely to pass that through to consumers, which means higher
internet and phone bills. This hits rural and low income
communities the hardest and could slow broadband expansion.

Over the long term, higher costs in this category can
ripple through the economy, adding inflationary pressure and increasing operating
costs for businesses, ultimately another hit to consumers' wallets, according

the economy. The tariffs also face potential legal obstacles and
could ultimately be struck down in the coming months. On Thursday,
a federal appeals court heard arguments in a case first
brought by states and businesses that say the President exceeded

So for anyone who's been paying attention, especially to the
cuts to employment of hundreds of thousands of federal civil

is going to get worse now. Separately, top US officials
also met with their Chinese counterparts in Stockholm this past
week to discuss extending a trade truce that expires on
August twelfth. Chinese officials said afterward they had secured a

ninety day extension on any tariff increase, while Treasury Sector
Secretary Scott Bessent said on CNBC on Thursday that an
extension was likely now. I would be remiss if I
failed to mention the news since Chirn's station retrograde on

so far demonstrated no willingness to voluntarily surrender its weapons
or give up control over Gaza. Its initial response to
the declaration was mixed but did not suggest a significant shift.
At the United Nations High Level conference on a two
state solution co sponsored by France and Saudi Arabia unfolded

as reports of starvation in Gaza continued to arrive. Images
of small children and babies dying of hunger have set
off global outrage against Israel for preventing humanitarian aid from
entering the territory at the scale needed to avert severe
food shortages. Now, some of you might remember we had

but also at the Leo new Moon, we had the

nineteen seventy three Row versus Wade inequality at that time

from which it has fully recovered by creating equal rights
for all human beings in this country, legally or not.
So again, it is interesting that Kamala Harris chose at
this particular point in time at the Chirroens station retrograde
to announce that she's not running for governor. And again,
as I said before, I don't necessarily know if that means,

you know, she is planning another run for the president,
but we shall see.

Switch now to the topic of fixed star. Well, let
me let me talk about the hang on that the
first quarter square, which occurred this morning. But first let's
hark back to the Leo New Moon, which had the
Moon and the Sun and Leo meet in the US

transiting Pluto in the second House. So we can clearly
see the emphasis of the Leo lunation in the eighth House,
which is naturally ruled by Pluto, right, which has to

people's money, joint resources, and the house where Pluto is
currently transiting of values.

and the have nots, right, because the eighth House holds
the power to lend money and to have other people
benefit through joint resources, and the second house says, you
are you know, here to develop enough of a sense

of value to stand up against those powers that be
if they are not active in your best interests. Today however,
we can see, excuse me, that the sun in Leo
is squared by the moon in Scorpio from the eleventh
House to the eighth House. So we still have the

has just gone over the nodal access the north node
in the eighth House and the moon in Scorpio, which
again is the sign of the people right and their
passion and their interests in all things plutonic, including as

So this now, so this haliacal rising occurs when a star,

each star will have only one such brief reappearance before

the niles annual flooding crucial for agriculture. In Greek mythology,
Sirius was linked to the faithful hunting dog of Orion.

on Brazil starting on August first, which, as per CNN quote,
Trump had previously threatened to impose the fifty percent tariff
on Brazil effected August first, in a letter he sent
earlier this month to the country's president, Luise.

In that letter, Trump threatened the hefty tariff if Brazil
did not end its trial against right wing former president

non economic matters. Bolsonaro, who has bragged about his closeness

was quote politically motivated. So again, as we are our
face right now with the first quarter lunar square of

contemplate reviewing America's wounds. Right, how the American government pushes
out immigrants while simultaneously the Israeli government is trying to

push out Palestinians. And again, I'm not making a political statement,
We're just stating facts. Right. Both governments have become exceedingly
right wing in the recent past, as white Christian nationalism
has not only grown but thrived along with the ideological
belief that whites are being discriminated against in favor of

people of.

So we have the right wing Israeli West Bank settlers
becoming righteously convinced that they and only they, and these
are Orthodox Chows, have the right to land previously shared
with others. And further, just as the Trump administration two
point zero is dissolving this foundational structure of the three

branches of government, weakening Congress by threatening its members to
the point where they now regularly obey in advance and
continue to do so, so has Israel done the same.
Benjamin Netanyahuo's majority right wing cabinet views anyone not Jewish
as a threat to their safety, while Trump and his

minions have perpetrated the lie. Then immigrants are here to
replace all whites. Now, how ironic is it that these
two governments are running the same kind of racket while
stoking similar fears among its citizens, but at the same
time are diametrically opposed in their prejudices. While right wing
white Christian nationalists chanted Jews will not replace us in Charlottesville,

South Carolina in twenty seventeen, right wing or the dog's
Jews in Israil's West Bank aim to either deport or
annihilate those of Palestinian descent. Unless you think we're only
talking about the fact that the West Bank has only
Muslims in it rest assured that's not the case. Just

last week, a group of right wing West Bank settlers
attacked a Palestinian Christian church. And you know, they don't care.
They just want the land. They don't care who lives
on the land. They just want them all to.

You know, we've taught before and it's in the news
still as Brown University as the most recently capitulated to
the Trump administration by paying it I think it's five
hundred million dollars, you know, to end the practice of diversity,
equity and inclusion and things like that, and to put

a kind of censor figure in the administration at the
school to make sure these things don't happen. You know,
we are so going backwards here. But I just wanted
to point this out because it's like, it's not only
happening in America, it's happening elsewhere. But the whole anti
Semitism cry in America is so ironic given that over

in the West Bank and places in Israel they are
prejudice against anyone who's not Jewish and kicking them out
of their land. So it's you know, it's just it's
just weird anyway. On August sixth, Mars enters Libra. Now
Mars will be in Lee until he moves on into

Scorpio on September twenty second. And Mars and Libra is
an interesting combination because Mars is of course motivated, energetic, proactive, ambitious,
and Libra, which is ruled by Venus, is about balance, equity, fairness,
compromise or negotiation that results in compromise. So we'll see,

given these tariff deadlines now of August seventh, whether Mars
and Libra brings any kind of negotiated new agreements, shall
we say, or revised agreement. Mars trins Uranus and Mars
opposes Saturn on August eighth. Now, the trine to Urinus

have some kind of influence on tariffs. But Mars opposite
Saturn is a pretty frustrating energy, so it remains to
be seen what will happen then. But let's take a
look at the August ninth Aquarius full moon, which is

so it'll be interesting to see, you know, again, what
happens because of Aaron Sullivan's assessment that we're still kind
of in this period of planning for the future but
not yet initiating. So when we look at the chart
of Washington, d C on August ninth, twenty twenty five,

at twelve fifty five am Pacific and three fifty five
am Eastern time, we see that this Aquarius full moon
will fall at exactly seventeen degrees Aquarius, with the moon
opposing from that degree the sun at seventeen aquarius I'm sorry,
seventeen Leo. And interestingly enough, in DC, not the SIBLY chart,

not the US chart, but just the location chart again,
the moon is in the eighth house and the sun
in the second. What's interesting to note though, is of
course that the sun I'm sorry, the moon is in
the sign of Groups, and it's in the sign of

humanitarian and technological progress for all of humanity, while the
son in Leo is in a bit more selfish position
by virtue of the sign and the second house, where
it may overvalue itself. Again, when we look at the
Sun as the ruler and the moon as the people,

we have a clear dichotomy here which creates a lot
of tension. And what's interesting is they are both square
to the asteroid Juno, which of course is the partner
known formally as the wife, the wife of Juno, as
the wife of Jupiter hera the wife of Zeus and

Greek mythology. So there is a conflict here. The T
square forms and it's a fixed T square, which seems
to me again to have more implications around what's going
on with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. I didn't delve into
Gislane Maxwell, which I had originally intended to do, and

to look at her chart. But you know, if you've
been following the news, you know how instrumental she may
or may not be in the following weeks in terms
of the Congress's request for her to testify and tell
the truth, even though she's a convicted perjurer and a
convicted sex and child molester who ran a pedophile ring

(50:23):
to aid and a bet Jeffrey Epstein and his pedophilia right,
so more than likely this will continue. But again the
moon is reflecting the light of the sun back to
itself and showing it its selfishness and showing it its

(50:44):
arrogance in thinking that it Slash he matters more than
entire groups of people, and that there will be issues
related to partnerships. Now the fifth House is diametrically opposed
to the eleventh house, where Uranus and Gemini falls in
this chart, although it's not making an aspect except a

(51:08):
trine to Pluto, which is that perhaps there will be
as there has been this week a shift from support
in Congress right based on Democrats having lobby to have
the Epstein files released. And that's coming from the Democratic side,

regardless of the fact that there may be Democrats or
Democratic supporters or Democratic funders who are on the not
the Epstein list, because they're saying that no list actually.

Exists.

They're saying that it's just you know, all of the
logs for the airplanes and people who came and went
from all of his properties and his Sex Island but
that there may be some change here of empowerment with
a legislature that's up until now been extremely docile. So

is the tide turning in other words, as more and
more people partner together, especially because Juno is in Scorpio
in the fifth house of children in this particular chart
squaring the apex of the t square from the Aquarius
moon in the eighth house of sex and other people's
money to the son and Leo in the second house

of values and resources and self value and sense of
self worth. So you know, Leo bears a resemblance of Sagittarius,
which is ruled by Jupiter, Leo by the Sun in
terms of potential arrogance and hubris. Right, So will there
be an easy kind of shift of power with the

Pluto in the seventh house here in areas trined by
Uranus in the eleventh house, which is its own house,
And you know, might we see partnering together of both
sides that we as we've started to do with the
Epstein scandal. Right, it's the GOP, many of which are

conspiracs or whom are conspiracy theorists based on the QAnon
stuff and the Pizzagate that led into the Epstein stuff.
But the Epstein stuff, I think to anyone who's a
critical thinker, is true, whereas the QAnon stuff was conspiracy theories,
and how they've melded together. And yet the Democrats, who

are previously opposed to the GOP's conspiracy driven theories, might
now come together right to call for the release of
information Urinus in the in Gemini in the eleventh House.
And it might happen suddenly, so we'll see. But the

(54:01):
other thing that, on the other hand, could happen is
some kind of clemency for Gislaine Maxwell, who of course
has now sent a request to the Supreme Court to
review her case. And that is based on the fact
that she is saying that in two I can't remember

(54:24):
now if it's two thousand and nine or two thousand
and three. But when Jeffrey Epstein was given a light
sentence in Florida where he was under supervision, but he
was allowed actually to go to work every day and
leave the prison. He just had to return at night
and sleep there. Okay, So he was given a light

(54:47):
sentence that they reduced to him soliciting a prostitute. There
was nothing about underage females in that chart, all right,
So the thing here is, could these energies also signify
an easier route to the allowance of those people who

(55:12):
want to protect the pedropile elitists right in business or
politics or whatever in Congress by forging some kind of
clemency deal with Yislay Maxwell. But the Supreme Court has

(55:33):
agreed to take up the case, so I don't know
when they're going to hear it.

It was going to be a shadow.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Docket case because that is where they make a decision
on an emergency basis, but do not give an explanation
as to how or why their reasoning went. So three
days ago, NPR reported that Maxwell's attorneys filed their final

brief asking the Supreme Court to take up her case,
and I'm sorry, I misspoke. They didn't agree to take
up her case. But MSNBC News reported four days ago
that the US Court of Appeals for the Second Court
rejected Maxwell's appeal last year because the circuit panel cited

(56:22):
precedent that says that agreements made during the prosecution, which
were secured by Jeffrey Epstein here it is in Florida
in two thousand and seven that set in part, the
United States alser agrees that it will not institute any

(56:43):
criminal charges against any potential co conspirators with Epstein, which
was Maxwell's lawyer's defense their argument. The Justice Department opposed
maxwell petition on July fourteenth, and in its opposition brief,
the DOJ wrote, among other things, that while the United

(57:06):
States could conceivably refer to the entire federal government, the
entirety and context of the non prosecution agreement here may
clear that the term is used, as it often is,
as one alternative way to refer to the US Attorney's
office executing the agreement. But anyway, as I said, the
Court of Appeals rejected Maxwell's appeal last year, and I

(57:30):
said that circuit precedent says agreements only bind the US
Attorney's office in the district where the agreement is entered,
unless it affirmatively appears that the agreement contemplates a B
A broader restriction. There's nothing in the NPA that affirmatively
shows that the NPA was intended to bind multiple districts,

(57:52):
the second circuit panel said, referring to Epstein's non prosecution agreement. So,
in other words, it should be a done deal. It
should be dead in the water. But what was also interesting.

There was a report that and this is out of
Fox News, so who knows, who knows whether it's true
or not. But it says that Scotus, which of course
is Supreme Court, to discuss Gilaine Maxwell's case privately in
September at post summer conference. High Court will examine Maxwell's

petition on September twenty ninth, as doj and Congress press
defendant for information on Jeffrey Epstein, it says. The Supreme
Court revealed on Wednesday that Gilaine Maxwell's appealed to her
sex trafficking conviction will be among the many cases the
High Court reviews.

Conference in September, the Supreme Court posted a brief notice
indicating it plans to examine a petition from Maxwell, Jeffrey
Epstein's former girlfriend and associate on September twenty ninth, marking
the first time the justices will have their case will
have her case before them. The public could learn whether
the High Court plans to review Maxwell's case within days

or weeks of that date. If the Supreme Court were
to deny Maxwell's petition, she would have no appeal options left.
If the High Court were to grant it, that means
it would review Maxwell's arguments that she was improperly prosecuted.
