JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN to find out what all Astro News You Can Use this portends post by listening to this week’s podcast: https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops November 7!
This podcast reviews the astro energies—including the Mars/Uranus opposition--that led to a major wakeup call resulting from the U.S. off year elections on November 4. This wakeup call was for everyone: Both those in power & those who disagree with their policies.
The Medias Touch news organization put it best: “Tuesday’s results were an electoral victory for Democrats, but even more, they were a reaffirmation of democracy itself.”
Thus, we had the awakening amongst those in power who seem to suddenly realize that depriving people of resources such as food & healthcare is not going to happen without pushback.
And, we had the revelation amongst voters who disapprove of being starved, denied affordable healthcare, & made sick from watching people dragged off the streets & jailed—or worse yet deported--without due process rights, that democracy is still alive and well.
By the Taurus Full Moon November 5 Virginia had elected a female governor--its first ever after a history of 74 former male governors--& NJ elected its second female governor. All of this speaks volumes about the Taurus Full Moon’s emphasis on the awakening of feminine divine archetype.

In addition, when he announced his transition team on the day of the Taurus Full Moon, we might note it is comprised entirely of females. And that his team includes Lina Kahn, the former chair of the Federal Trade Commission during President Biden’s administration who fought against corporate anti-trust violators during her tenure there.
Also, as Jupiter was trining Saturn at this lunation, we saw its mythological meaning come to life as 34 year-old Zohran Mamdani was elected NYC mayor by the largest turn out of voters—many of them younger ones--since 1969. Part of the Jupiter/Saturn 20-year cycle, which began when the two conjoined in Aquarius on December 21, 2020, this represents a changing of the guard from the older generation to the younger one.
This theme was illustrated as well since influential California House Rep Nancy Pelosi, who’s now 84 years old, announced she would not run for reelection in 2026, thus ending her long-standing influence on the democratic side of the House. Another symbolic changing of the guard by passing the baton from the old “king” to the young one…
HOW’S THAT PARTNERSHIP THING BEEN WORKIN’ FOR YA?
Now in the waning portion of this month’s lunar cycle since it began with the Libra New Moon on October 21--which called us to plant seeds to better partner with ourselves so that we may become a better parter to others—there’s still a face off in the Congressional-caused government shutdown.
Trouble is that lunation was fraught with pitfalls such as its squares to Jupiter & Pluto & its opposition to chaos maker Eris & wounded healer Chiron, making this month’s mission harder than most. That righteous (Jupiter) control (Pluto) by the powerful would cause chaos and wounding (Chiron/Eris) to people seems now to have been foretold by this lunation.
Since today marks the 38th day & the longest government shutdown in history, thus far with no end in sight, we can see clearly now how the Libra New Moon’s mission to learn to better negotiate & compromise with others predicted resistance to compromise that’s caused a great deal of chaos & pain.
Californians voted in Prop 50 after deciding “the hell with going high when they go low” in the effort to counteract Texas’s attempts to gerrymander state maps to favor adding an additional five GOP seats to the House of Representatives. Again, a result of this monthly lunar cycle’s message that it’s time to push back rather than lay back & continue to be disempowered.
However, as we head toward the third-quarter waning “crisis in consciousness” square of the Leo Moon to the Scorpio Sun November 11, we’re asked to realize that the needs of each individual are what matter, and that lumping them into groups & dismissing their concerns will cause even more chaos.
The Leo Moon (“the people” in mundane astrology) are in tension with the leader (“king” in mundane astrology) who’s hell bent on ruling with an autocratic hand. This recent election, as we waxed toward the Taurus Full Moon, will now lead to the realization that we are at a turning point here in America.
ONCE I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I CAN SEE
Meanwhile, we have the Uranus retrograding back into Taurus on November 7 & reentering at the 29-degree Pleiades point, which represents “blindness.” The question becomes whether the Trump Administration & Congress have been SO blind to what’s going on in the lives of its citizens that it’s actually adapted a “let them eat cake” policy & caused what’s now the

methods of payment, et cetera, et cetera. All right, so
let's get into this week's astro news you can use.
And first let's recap this past week, which included both

(04:40):
the nationwide November fourth elections, which were sparked by the
aspects I outlined last week on when Mars entered Sagittarius,
the moon entered Taurus, Mars opposed Uranus in Gemini exact
and the Taurus moon squared Pluto in Aquarius. And here's

(05:00):
what I said about three weeks ago on a Facebook
thread after an astrologer posted the upcoming November fifth tourist
full moon chart in Washington, d C. And that post
is from October eighth. Quote could be rapid change in
partnership announced with the zero degree Sagittarius mercury mercury Mars

(05:21):
conjunction on Washington d C's two degree Sad descendant, which
is opposed by Uranus retrograde at zero degrees Gemini as
it approaches the two degree Gemini descendant. As this lunation
occurs the day after the November fourth election. In addition,

(05:41):
the sixth House tourist moon here opposite the twelfth House
Scorpio sun makes me feel like quote the people will
attempt to stabilize their daily lives and routines as the
sixth House by voting against the party that's backed the
president's quote unquote secret agenda to destroy the foundational structure

(06:03):
of their government, particularly as it relates to their healthcare.
Read Taurus equals the physical body. Further, Saturn and Neptune
in Pisces in the fourth House in this DC chart
represents voters' attempts to right the wrongs or should I
say dissolve slash weak in the power of the Father

(06:25):
of the nation who's done them wrong by plotting against them.
Back to the twelfth House, Saturn is often the authoritarian
authority figure and says a stand in for father. Neptune
is the disillusion and together in Pisces they represent a
weak father. And I also wrote, and then there's the
t square formed by Jupiter in Cancer square to Venus

(06:48):
in Libra, opposite Chirn and erison aires. People's votes eleventh
House Venus may well rely on their dissatisfaction with the
fiscal austeriay philosophy ruling joint resources Jupiter in the eighth
which severely wounds and throws into chaos so many Americans'

(07:09):
ability to have enough extra income to have fun and
enjoy their lives without going broke from having to pay
exorbitant health care and or other costs. What's now come
clear since we're pasted both the November fourth election and
the November fifth tourists full moon, which occurred at thirteen

(07:30):
degrees in twenty three minutes of the Taurus Scorpio axis
is that the Taurus moon trined the Virgo south node,
transiting south note and sextiled the Piss's north node, while
the Scorpio sun did the opposite by trining the Piss's
north node and sex twing the Virgo's south node at
this lunation. In short, this combination of aspects allowed for

(07:52):
easy change. The change, however, was primarily sparked by the
mars uranous opposition, perfected on November fourth, which has apparently
since caused a large portion of Americans, be they Democrats, Republicans,
or independents, to wake up to the aha moment reality

(08:13):
that it really still is the economy stupid. Since Democratic
strategist James Carvill coined that term during President Bill Clinton's
election campaign in nineteen ninety two, The biggest revelation is
best defined by the Mightisst MIAs Touch News organization. In

(08:34):
my opinion and here I quote, Tuesday's results were an
electoral victory for Democrats, but even more they were a
reaffirment of reaffirmation of democracy itself, from young voters turning
out in record numbers, to the passage of Proposition fifty
in California to Democrats breaking the Republicans supermajority in deep

(08:57):
red Missouri of feat no what he thought possible. Americans
made clear they've had enough of trump ISM's cruelty and incompetence.
End to quote what I saw. However, first and foremost
is that Venus ruled Taurus, where the moon was situated
beginning at eight sixteen am Pacific time at eleven sixteen

(09:18):
am Eastern time on election day, reflects a feminine archetype
in general, So it's interesting that through this election, Abigail
Spanberger became the first female governor of Virginia, meaning she's
the seventy fifth out of a long line of all
seventy four male only past governors. Meanwhile, Mikey Cheryl's election

(09:43):
as Governor of New Jersey means she becomes only the
second female or second female governor since the first one.
Christine Whitman, a Republican, served as the New Jersey governor
from nineteen ninety four to two thousand and one. Again,
Venus ruled Tourists primarily represents a feminine archetype in that

(10:05):
it has to do with the physical body, natural law
and nature itself, resources and values ergo. This election proved
that voters perceived greater value in electing female governors for
the first time ever in Virginia and the second time
ever in New Jersey. In addition, as everyone now knows

(10:29):
by now or now knows, that's redundant. Zoran Mamdani, a
Muslim born politician. A Muslim politician born in Uganda who
emigrated to the United States with his Indian born professor
father and filmmaker mother when he was seven years old.
In nineteen ninety nine, was elected as not only the

(10:52):
youngest mayor of New York City, but the first Muslim mayor,
and as per Fortune Magazine on November six, quote, Zoran
Mamdani made history when he won New York City's mayoral
election on Tuesday night, becoming its youngest mayor at age
thirty four in over a century, and the first Muslim
to lead the city end quote. What's interesting, however, is

(11:16):
how I've begun to suddenly see recognition slash awakening of
the fact that Mamdani's mother is actually a well known
Indian born filmmaker who's known by many here in America,
and as Fortune Magazine explains Mamdani's quote, mother had already
carved her own path into the record books decades earlier.

(11:39):
Mira Nair sixty eight stands as one of the most
accomplished independent filmmakers of her generation, a director who turned
modest budgets into critical darlings and box office successes while
refusing to compromise her artistic vision. Nayer's breakthrough came in
nineteen eighty eight with Salem Bombay, a gritty porch rail

(12:00):
of street children in Mumbai, made for just four hundred
and fifty thousand dollars that grossed and estimated seven seven
point four million dollars worldwide. The film earned an Academy
Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, won the Camera
do'or at Kahn, and became India's second film ever nominated

(12:21):
for an oscar. With the proceeds, Naiir established the Salaam
Balac Trust, a nonprofit that continues to provide support for
street children in Delhi and Mumbai. It further explains that
she is a Harvard grad which is where she studied
sociology and theater, and that Naier founded her production company,

(12:46):
Mirrabai Films in nineteen eighty nine, and her films include
the nineteen ninety one Mississippi Massala starring Denzel Washington and
star Rita Chaudri, and her biggest commercial triumph Monsoon Wedding
in two thousand. In addition, and here I quote again,
Naiiir has received two Academy Award nominations, two BAFTA Award nominations,

(13:07):
two Seizar Award nominations, and has won prizes at both
the Khan and Venice Film Festivals again according to Fortune,
So it might come as little surprised then that when
Mam Danny announced his transition team after winning election on
the fourth, he announced on the fifth, the day of

(13:28):
the exact Taurus full moon, that he chose a transition
team comprised completely of women. This team includes Lena Khan,
the former Yale Law School legal scholar who served as
chair of the Federal Trade Commission under President Biden from
twenty one to twenty twenty five, twenty twenty one to
twenty twenty five, and who is now an Associate professor

(13:50):
of law at Columbia Law School and when the Federal
Trade Commission. When with the FTC, Khan brought several anti
trust cases against a couple of monopolistic companies, including Amazon,
Meta and Microsoft. As well as denying mergers on antitrust

(14:11):
grounds for the large grocery stores Kroger's and Albertson. So
my point is we can see the rise of women
to high positions in government as a result of these
transits and this particular tourist full moon lunation. Right. And
it's not that this hasn't happened before or doesn't exist elsewhere.
It's simply that according to US News and World Report

(14:34):
as of January twenty twenty five, thirteen out of the
fifty state governors are women. We're talking about the US
more than there have ever been. Of these trailblazers, five
are Republicans and eight or Democrats. So now we can
add two more to that number, meaning there will be
ten female Democrats and five Republican governors come twenty twenty six.

(15:00):
It's an increase of fifteen female governors out of the
total of fifty. Right, slow progress, but progress nonetheless. Now,
let's take a look at the AHA awakening both Donald
Trump and his GOP congressional minions like Majority Leader and
Speaker of the House Mega Mike Johnson as they call him,

(15:22):
have experienced by today. Here's one illustration of a reversal
after the mars uranous opposition on election day went on
November fifth, just after the Torres full moon, it was
reported quote Trump delivered a speech to Republican Senators that
can only be described as a debacle, according to Midas

(15:44):
Touch News quote, I don't think it was good for Republicans,
he admitted. Trump clearly was facing the reality of what
we all witnessed. Voters turned out in droves to reject him,
but as always, he quickly shifted blame, this time to
GOP lawmakers, insisting the losses were due to quote your
shutdown now, and this is me talking. If that's not

(16:07):
both interesting and confirmation of as above, so below, I
don't know what is. I would add also that at
this Tourus full moon, we had Jupiter in cancer waxing
towards are trying to Saturn retrograde in Pisces, and that
Zoron Mamdani's New York City mayoral election represents a large
part of the meaning of the Jupiter Saturn synotic cycle,

(16:31):
which began on December twenty one of twenty twenty at
least in my opinion, and that's based on the fact
that mythologically speaking Jupiter or Zeus in Greek mythology overthrew
his father's Saturn or Chronos in the Greek version. Remember
the names of the planets we use in Western tropical

(16:51):
astrology are the Roman ones, and that the Romans renamed
the planets from the Greek ones, which predated the Roman Empire.
And what the Jupiter Saturn cycle portends and which starts
anew every twenty years, especially since we reached the first
waxing first quarter square of Jupiter to Saturn back on

(17:12):
June fifteenth of this year, is that the young will
replace the old. It's a measure of natural law that
children will outlive their parents, right, And since Saturn represents
tradition and resistance to what is new or deemed progressive,
this archetypal energy usually seeks to repress or suppress the

(17:35):
birth of any new fangled ideas into manifestation, and that
makes Saturnian types more often married to the past rather
than innovatively looking forward to the future, at least in
terms of this Jupiter Saturn cycle. So although Jupiter will
station retrograde in cancer next week on November eleventh, before

(17:57):
perfecting a trying to Saturn, it might well still attribute
the progress of younger progressives replacing the old traditional business
as usual ones as ongoing from now on, so as
this cycle continues to wax and at the November fifth
tourist full moon again Jupiter in cancer was waxing into

(18:18):
a trying to Saturn in Pisces. As mentioned, we also
learned that eighty four year old California House Representative Nancy Pelosi,
the former Speaker Majority Speaker of the House during the
Biden administration, has announced that she will not run for
reelection during the twenty twenty six mid terms, another changing

(18:41):
of the guard from the old to the young, since
Pelosi will have served in the US House of Representatives
representatives by the end of twenty twenty six for thirty
nine years. In addition, astrologer Rob Hann describes the Jupiter
Saturn trine aspect this way quote. With this trans you
can work patiently and slowly to build something up. Under

(19:04):
this influence, you are able to keep in mind your
long range goals while dealing with all the everyday concerns
that arise. Hand adds that quote, this is an appropriate
time to handle all manner of practical concerns. Despite the
fact that quote, your mind is earthbound. You don't lack

(19:25):
vision or foresight. End quote. Now for many of us,
I should think this would be music to our ears.
And again, by November sixth, while we were still in
the dark of the Taurus full moon energy and as
Mars in Sagittarius sextiled Pluto and Aquarius and Venus in
Libra Quincunk's neptune retrograde in Pisces, a sudden change of

(19:48):
tune by Donald Trump related to the Taurus archetype's physical
body and enjoyment of food came into play. According to
The New York Times. On November six quote, President Trump
announced a deal with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to
lower prices on hugely popular weight loss drugs for Medicare,

(20:08):
Medicaid and American patients who pay with their own money.
This deal could significantly expand access for millions of Americans
to hugely popular obesity drugs by reducing the price to
as little as one hundred and fifty dollars a month.
The government's agreements with the two drug makers quote would

(20:29):
save consumers in the government considerable money on WI gov
zep bound and two obesity pills. That are expected to
win regulatory approval in the coming months. The lowest price
of one hundred and fifty dollars a month will be
available only for the lowest doses of the pill form
of the drugs. The Times added, and we also have

(20:51):
this somewhat amusing given the outcome. Piece of food Taurus
related information from the Associated Press on November quote. A
former Justice Department employee who threw a sandwich at a
federal agent during President Donald Trump's law enforcement surge in Washington,
d C. Has been found not guilty of assault. A

(21:14):
viral video of the sandwich tossing made Shawn Charles Dunn
a symbol of resistance to Trump's deployment of federal agents
to combat crime in the nation's capital. End quote. Meanwhile,
let's see if American voters pushback against the powers that
try to control them. Are indeed the bellweather necessary to

(21:36):
help end the current government shutdown, which on November sixth
had lasted, which was yesterday, had lasted thirty nine days
and is the longest shutdown ever, seconded only by the
thirty five days shutdown of the twenty eighteen of eighteen

(21:56):
twenty nineteen. During the first presidency of Donald Trump. So
the Senate was in session starting at five pm Eastern yesterday,
November sixth, and that is virtually literally the time that
I am now recording this before you know, So I

(22:20):
won't know the outcome of that Senate session, but I
do think it's unlikely that there will be an end
to the government shutdown by the time you are listening
to this, if it's Friday. However, Senate Majority Leader John
Thune has hinted that he may keep the Senate in
session through the weekend, So we'll see. And this is

(22:44):
a quote. On Wednesday, after his party suffered a drubbing
at the ballot box, Trump implored Senate Republicans to blow
up the filibuster this afternoon. According to punch Bowl News
on November sixth, quote Trump directly contradicted GOP congressional leaders

(23:04):
in declaring that the shutdown has been worse for Republicans
than Democrats. Again, as a result of the November fourth
mars Uranus opposition, Trump and Hill Republicans are now in
completely different places on the political impacts of this seemingly
endless shutdown, punchball News reported, while quote Johnson and Thune

(23:27):
have been making the case incessantly that Democrats are to
blame for the spending impasse, hyping up the expiration of
premium Obamacare tax credits as a way to curry favor
with a leftward drifting Democratic base. Trump trampled all over
that message, saying the election results showed that the shutdown

(23:47):
has been worse for us than for Democrats. It was
a and this is still punchball news I'm coding from.
It was a head snapping comment that threw Hill Republicans
back on their heels and led many in the top
rungs of the GOP leadership to wonder whether Trump would
try to cut a deal with Senate Minority Leader Chuck
Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries. Despite what the

(24:12):
GOP congressional leaders say, most Trump aids recognize that skyrocketing
healthcare premiums will hurt Republicans. It would be Trump who
has to take the lead on a deal like that,
which could cause further angst with Hill Republicans. End quote.
So anyone who follows astrology cannot be shocked that Trump

(24:34):
made a quote unquote, head snapping about face as his
tenth House Gemini soun Uranus conjunction opposite his fourth house Sagittarius.
Moon has always been more about short term tactics than
long term strategies and rapid you know, changes right of

(24:58):
opinion of strategy or whatever you know, or tactics really
right and punch boul News also reported this quote. Some
Republicans acknowledged this should be a wake up call again
Mars Uranus for twenty twenty six, when affordability and the
cost of living will continue to be front and center. Quote.

(25:18):
A lot of people are hurting, and the Republicans can't
let that just pass them. Senator Jim Justice, a Republican
from West Virginia, told us quote, because if it does,
there'll be a bad day coming. I see a bad
moon horizon. Last night was an awakening for a lot
of folks, and if we didn't pick up on that,

(25:39):
then then we're not going to pick it up. End
to quote. Justice added that if Republicans gloss over the
growing economic hardship facing Americans, it'll be a bad day
in the midterm. Okay, now let's talk about what's happening
as we speak. First, we have the retrograde of Uranus

(26:01):
back into twenty nine degrees of Taurus today November seventh,
which occurs at nine twenty two pm Eastern Time, along
with a Venus Pluto fixed square which perfects tonight at
ten forty four pm. I'm sorry I wrote ten degrees.
I'm at ten o'clock of ten forty four pm Eastern Time.

(26:24):
And now let's remember that this degree of Uranus, which
I've spoken about on previous podcasts, is known as the
Pleiades point, and that the Pleiades point at twenty nine
degrees of Taurus is related to blindness. I won't go
into the mythology here because I've done so in the past,
and anyone can look up the deeper meaning of the
seven Weeping Sisters, who are daughters of Atlas, who is

(26:48):
forced to carry the world on his shoulders. But we
also know, and I've spoken about numerous times before, that
this degree is present in Donald Trump's tenth house and
squares his twenty nine degree fifty five minute Leo ascendant. Further,
it squares also the royal star Regulus, which was conjunct

(27:09):
Trump's ascendant at twenty nine Leo at birth. We also
know that Uranus retrograde after its stations will retrograde back
to twenty seven degrees and twenty seven minutes of Taurus
before its stations direct again by February fourth of twenty
twenty six, which will be less than a degree away

(27:32):
from exactly squaring his natal twenty six degree forty eight
minute Mars in Leo in his twelfth house, but considered
conjunct his twenty nine Leo twenty nine to fifty five
Leo ascendant. I've been saying for some time now that
the fixed star Algall, which is at approximately twenty six

(27:52):
degrees and twenty five minutes of Taurus in the sky
right now, is not only conjoined to Trump's natal Mars,
but also conjunct both his natal ascendant and Regulus now.
An astrology, Algahl, which I've also spoken about numerous times before,
is known as the demon star and is historically associated

(28:13):
with violence, misfortune, and decapitation due to its variable brightness
and mythological ties to the head of Medusa, which is
cut off by the hero Perseus. We might remember that
Medusa is the monster with snakes for hair who could
turn one into stone with simply a look. And despite

(28:36):
the fact that modern interpretations also see Algall as a
powerful catalyst for profound personal change, and a tool for
emotional liberation, and a source of artistic talent when its
energy is channeled for self awareness and healing. I somehow

(28:56):
really don't think that we can apply that part of
the entire reputation to Donald Trump. Rago that transiting Urinus
retrograde back into Taurus occurring today November seventh, and will
come back when direct again to square Trump's Senate again

(29:16):
at twenty nine degrees in fifty five minutes of Taurus
on April twenty fourth of twenty twenty six. And because
of this, we might surmise that this is Trump's off
with his head fall from Greece period of what so
many now called the Trump regime. Note two. That this
time period will fall as the US begins to hold

(29:38):
its primaries for the twenty twenty six mid term elections,
which will occur on November third of twenty twenty six.
So I had pointed out already that, of course, because
transiting Urninus had already moved into Gemini last July, with
this July of this year, but you know months ago

(29:58):
that it had already we hit this point in these
points in Trump's chart, and now it's going to hit
for the second time, and then again there will be
a third time. So we know if you're paying attention
to the news. And yeah, polls vary in all that stuff,
but I'm seeing that Trump's popularity now is down to

(30:22):
thirty seven percent. So whether it's thirty seven or forty
or forty one or forty two, it's still low. So
bear in mind as well that a Urinus retrograde period
is a time when we review all that we find
quote unquote imperfect in our lives and in the world
around us. This is how youngie and astrologer Aaron Sullivan

(30:44):
describes the Urinus retrograde period in her book Retrograde Planets
Traversing the Inner Landscape. Quote it is particularly important to
use the retrograde phase of Uranus's transit to test that
which has lasting value and what is merely potential with
no containment end quote. Now I'd say that that's particularly

(31:07):
true as Uranus backs into Venus real tourus, the archetype
of values, right, because she's saying what has lasting value
and what doesn't. Sullivan then adds, quote Urinus shatters smug
ideals which will not withstand true objective reality. Its repeated
contexts bring increasing awareness of where one has been complacent,

(31:30):
and somnolence not no lent, you know, meaning sleeping right asleep.
In short summed up, Sullivan concludes, quote, people undergo real
disillusionment disillusionment with Urinus passages as Uranus makes us conscious

(31:50):
of imperfections. End quote. Well again, if that doesn't apply
to current American politics, I really don't know what does.
And we might note now too that Urinus rules Aquarius,
and together they concern technology, electricity, and all things related
to flight, while Venus rule Taurus is known to kind

(32:15):
of take things slow. I'm laughing because I'm a tourist's son,
and my son has Taurus and Mercury and tourists, and
I've always remember when he was young, it's like, Okay,
we're gonna get going ten minutes. Okay, we're gonna get going,
eight minutes, Okay, we're gonna get going six minutes. You know,

(32:35):
he was very slow to He was very active because
he was an airy son. But when it came to
having to you know, segue or you know, do things
like chores like take out the garbage, he was always
like lying on the couch anyway, I digress. So we
have fast moving Uranus and slow moving you know or change.

(32:59):
But like I said, Uranus and Aquarius rule things like
flight right, and Taurus likes to take things slow. So
bear in mind that a slow moving planet, well, when
a planet like Uranus, which is a slower moving outer planet,
stays at the same degree for quite some time, it's

(33:21):
virtually motionless by the time it approaches its actual retrograde station.
And this means that Urinus has been at zero Gemini
since October eleventh, moving backwards super slowly until tonight when
it reaches Taurus at twenty nine, you know, fifty nine degrees.
So we have this from the Washington Post, which was

(33:44):
reported on November fifth, as we wax toward the Urinus
retrograde into slower moving TOURUS tonight quote US orders ten
percent cut in flights at several airports that shut down
drags on. The Trump administration says the move, which will
affect forty markets, is part of an effort to ease
pressure on air traffic controllers. The Trump administration on Wednesday

(34:08):
announced it will reduce flight traffic by ten percent and
forty markets across the US as part of an effort
to ease pressure on traffic air traffic controllers who will
miss another paycheck next week as the government shutdown enters
its second month. The reductions take effect Friday today. Details
about which markets would be affected were announced yesterday, and

(34:33):
you know, it seems thus far that all major cities
across America will be affected, so check your local airports
for the most updated news. Should the government shutdown actually
reach further into the heavily traveled Thanksgiving holiday period, as
unlikely as that might seem at this point. But next,

(34:54):
we've got Mercury stationing retrograde on November ninth, so just
two days from now at six degrees and fifty two
minutes of Sagittarius, and Mercury will re enter Scorpio on
November eighteenth, and then stationed direct again at twenty degrees
and forty two minutes of Scorpio on November twenty ninth.

(35:16):
Mercury direct will then re enter Sagittarius on December eleventh.
This means that we are ending the period of Mercury's
retrograde cycles primarily in fire, and heading toward next year's
future cycles primarily in water signs and This shift takes
us from contemplating during mercury retrograde, how can my inspiration

(35:41):
create my future toward now, pondering, especially during these future
retrograde periods, what is the quality of my life? According
to Aaron Sullivan, while Mercury's retrograde periods during the past
year have addressed quote the capacity to see the past,
the present, and the future of possibilities in all things,

(36:02):
which in turn provides us the opportunity to create the future.
Sullivan notes, quote we are made up not only of
our past, but also of our futures. Angst about the
future during this period quote is necessary for creativity, she explains,
and I'd say we can apply this to our current
political situation here in America now and for at least

(36:25):
the better part of this past year. Mercury moves back
into water Signs, which begins during this upcoming retrograde cycle
on November. That's starts when mercury retrograde does go back
into Scorpio and will continue during its twenty twenty six cycles.
So first with mercury retrograde in Pisces, which happens in

(36:49):
February March of twenty twenty six. Then in cancer during
June and July of twenty twenty six, and finally back
into scorpio between late October to mid November of next year,
twenty twenty six. So the shift by then will be
toward providing us all, both individually and collectively Quote, to
rethink old habit patterns and emotional responses to life's challenges.

(37:14):
Sullivan explains mercury retrograde in water is the best time
to analyze patterns based on inherited psychological traits, She advises,
adding the houses that contain the three water signs will
present situations in which one finds oneself needing to resist,
overreacting to moods, feelings, and free floating anxiety. She adds

(37:39):
Quote dream analysis and journal writing is particularly effective over
this time. By noting closely the symbols that arise spontaneously
from the unconscious, one can become aware of emotional issues
that remain unresolved. Water represents the greatest depths and also
the stagnant pools of our most sensitive private places, She says.

(38:02):
Retrogation in the water signs activates the feeling function and
our ability to trust the intrinsic the instinctive value assigned
to our life. If this aspect of our nature has
been ignored, it will now demand attention, and she continues
circumstances arise in life in relation to the house transited

(38:25):
by Mercury that require careful examination for their contribution to
the quality of life, and Sullivan then notes that the
last retrograde cycle in Fire, which will be this upcoming
one starting in two days quote, did not allow for
much introspection into the nature of feelings. And I think

(38:47):
what she's saying, given that at this particularly relevant at
this particular time, is relevant to us during the period
leading to the end of Mercury's Fire Trigon at your grades,
is that during the past cycle, over at least the
past year, we've been inspired to take action to help
to try to create our future. And this would certainly

(39:10):
fit the bill for things like No King's Days, et cetera,
where people, some perhaps spontaneously were inspired to join based
on a gut feeling that they had to quote unquote
do something. Now soon we'll be asked to go a
bit deeper into what feelings and emotions actually motivate us
to shake off any moods or free floating anxieties. As

(39:34):
Sullivan puts it that keep us stuck in old habitual
emotional patterns that no longer serve us. Perhaps, given current times,
fear would be one of these emotions. Now, let's move
on to November eleventh station of Jupiter at twenty five

(39:55):
degrees and nine minutes of cancer. Jupiter will remain reached
until it reaches fifteen degrees in five minutes of cancer
and stations direct there on March tenth of twenty twenty six.
This is a period during which we'll be asked to
go deep to discern the difference between what we think

(40:16):
we want and what our soul truly needs. The house
in which Jupiter is transitting and the house or house
is ruled by Jupiter, may well be where Jupiter's retrograde
is felt and where the ultimate outcome of this retrograde
period manifests, respectively. Continued growth and expansion is often slowed

(40:37):
during Jupiter's retrograde period, potentially dampening enthusiasm and optimism. Quote
In the week or so following the exact station, particularly
around the exact sun trine, which in this case occurs
on November sixteenth, it becomes apparent that more time is
likely to be necessary to revolve the idea, project, relationship,

(41:01):
or plan. Sullivan notes this means quote that any sense
of future growth within matters which pertain directly to the
house Jupiter is transitting appears to stagnate until Jupiter stations
direct interesting to note that for Donald Trump that will
mean the eleventh House, which is the House of the legislature,

(41:25):
and in the US sibly natal chart that will be
in the eighth House, which is the House of joint resources,
in other people's money, among other things. But back to
the general description, which is that, well, actually, back to
my comments, it's given what I just said, this may

(41:49):
not prove to be such a bad thing. Jupiter's stagnating
others plans when there are plans that many of us
consider to be bad ones. So I said, this may
not prove to be such a bad thing, given that
Jupiter represents the law immigration and emigration, among other things.

(42:10):
Since yesterday, on November sixth, the Associated Press reported this
judge will order federal agents in Chicago to restrict using
force against protesters and media. A federal judge said Thursday
she will order federal agents in Chicago to restrict using
force against peaceful protesters and media, saying current practices violate

(42:32):
their constitutional rights. End quote. And then there's this quote.
A federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the Trump administration
Thursday to find the money to fully fund SNAP benefits
in November. The ruling by US District Judge John J.
McConnell Jr. Gave President Donald Trump's administration until Friday, that's today,

(42:57):
to make the payments through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program SNAP,
though it's unlikely the forty two million Americans about one
in eight, will see the money on the debit cards
they use for groceries that quickly. The order was in
response to a challenge from cities and nonprofits complaining that

(43:17):
the administration was only offering to cover sixty five percent
of the maximum benefit, a decision that would leave some
recipients getting nothing for the month. Quote. The defendants failed
to consider the practical consequences associated with this decision to
only partially fund SNAP. McConnell said they knew that there

(43:37):
would be a long delay in paying partial SNAP payments
and failed to consider the harms individuals who rely on
those benefits would suffer. So you see how this works.
A slow down of Jupiter as it gets ready to
station next week, as I already mentioned, is already exemplifying
how certain plans may never come to fruition. It just

(44:00):
depends on whose plans we're talking about right now. That
doesn't mean that personally, some of our individual plans might
not come to fruition. And then we go back to
what I said earlier, which is that that is potentially
possible because some of the plants that we may have

(44:23):
been making may not have been in true alignment with
what or how we really I don't want to say feel.
I mean, Jupiter isn't necessarily a feeling planet. But let
me read you this again from Aaron Sullivan's Retrograde Planets book.

(44:43):
She says, if planets can be said to have intent,
Jupiter's purpose is in its retrograde cycle is to connect
one with a deeper and more personal sense of justice.
Justice not jurisprudence, but that which is correct for one's
integral balance and health. Often, our own inner sense of
what is right and wrong is unconsciously suppressed, subordinated to

(45:08):
accepted values in moral codes, whether these are social or
defined within a specific relationship. Jupiter's retrograde cycle is the
annual opportunity to contemplate and reflect upon aspects of our
life in which we need to explore our personal code
of ethics. In one sense, we experience our integrity more

(45:30):
instinctively when Jupiter is retrograde, and though we may be
incapable of formulating or articulating the internal review at the time,
there is a correction at work unconsciously. And this is
kind of interesting also because she mentions the relationship between
Jupiter and Saturn. As I mentioned, Jupiter was waxing towards

(45:51):
a trying to Saturn. This is a bit more about
the conflict between Jupiter and Saturn, but I think it's
still interesting to recognize because I had written a whole
portion of this podcast about the cycle of Jupiter to
Saturn and the future and when it will reach its opposition,
when it will reach the first waxing trine and then

(46:13):
the opposition, which isn't until twenty twenty nine. But I
still think it's interesting to mention this because she says
Jupiter retrograde transit can provoke depression, a consequence of unrequited needs.
The period can spiral one into a pit of mourning
and loss, requiring one to draw deep reserves of faith

(46:35):
in oneself. Such an experience is common when Jupiter and
Saturn are conjunct every twenty years and turn retrograde and
direct in close sequence, or when they are in opposition
in twenty year sequences, each of their stations closely coinciding
opposite to the other. Now we're not there yet, as
I said, we're in a waxing trine period. But I

(46:57):
still think this is interesting for Jupiter and Saturn, and
cycles play out their mythic patterns most dramatically when they
are a conjunct or opposite each other, alternately swallowing and
expelling creative issue. The argument between Jupiter and Saturn clarifies
our ideas on individual morality Jupiter and collective morality Saturn. So,

(47:21):
given what I spoke about before, and the mythic connotation
of Jupiter being the son and Saturn being the father,
and how the young always end up superseding the old,
that since, where as I said, in more, in a
trine aspect now, which is easy energy, it should be

(47:41):
easier for us given what Sullivan says, to clarify our
ideas on individual morality versus those that represent collective morality,
which are those that, as I said before, or that
she said before, don't come from our inner instinctual, intuitive nature.

(48:05):
They come from what we were taught, told, or forced
to believe, which is our ego, our ego development. And
so this is a period where we have the opportunity
to actually get closer to our own sense of integrity,
which in turn gives us a greater sense of of

(48:33):
our own morality, which in turn gives us a greater
sense of our own faith. Okay, And since she mentions
the cycles of retrograde and stations direct of both Jupiter
and Saturn being within a short time period, we've got
Jupiter stationing retrograde as mentioned on November eleventh, and we've

(48:56):
got Center stationing direct on November twenty seven, So that
are only about two weeks apart, right, which is interesting
in any case. In addition, after Jupiter station's retrograde next
week or on November eleventh, will experiencing the third quarter,
we will experience the third quarter waning crisis and consciousness

(49:19):
lunar square of the Leo moon to the Scorpio sun,
and that will occur late on November eleventh and early
on November twelfth, depending on your time zone. So again,
given current political circumstances and the recent off year election
favoring democratic rule, along with the fact that we are

(49:41):
to set our intention to plant seeds to partner with
ourselves first so that we could better partner with others
during this challenging lunar month which started on October twenty
first with the libor new moon. That you know, this
was very difficult to do, as I've said last week
and the week before and pasted podcasts right trying to

(50:04):
plant librin seeds when the lunation was square to Pluto,
square to Jupiter, which was opposing Pluto and more tightly
opposite Chirn and arison Ares. But that this third quarter
waning square, given this current election between right at the

(50:27):
day before the full moon and as we're now waning
from the full moon, says that to me, the Leo
moon represents quote the will of the people in its
recognition that you cannot lump everyone together into one or
two or three or more groups, and that this Leo

(50:47):
moon cries out for the Scorpio sun, the leader, the ruler,
the king, the autocrat, to cease its tight controls by
refusing to negotiate or compromise via the realization that not
everyone is a welfare queen or a medicaid abuser or
fraudster or whatever, or that people on SNAP are too

(51:10):
lazy to go to work because the data already shows
that a good portion of them have jobs. I've been
reading a lot about the economics, and it's very interesting
and I don't understand all of it, but that how
the major corporations actually benefit when people are underpaid because

(51:33):
then the government supplements them. Right, So taxpayer dollars supplement
you if you can't make a living wage, and then
you go and spend that money at their stores and
places of business. So if you made more money, you
might not. That's the part that I'm not quite clear on.

(51:53):
So if you make more money, you would save more money,
I would sume, but you wouldn't be on the government dole,
so the gu wouldn't be subsidizing actual private, capitalist corporation businesses.
This is a very interesting dynamic. Anyway. What I want
to say too is that I started to say that,

(52:18):
let me read this again. The Leo Moon cries out
for the Scorpio Sun to cease his tight controls by
refusing to negotiate or compromise via the realization that not
everyone's so well for kran blah blah blah, but rather
simply an individual who needs attention. You know, we always
look at the shadow side of Leo's Oh my god,

(52:38):
he wants to be the you know, the object of
attention all the time. But Leo, on the high side,
is like, hey, look at me. I'm separate from the group.
I'm an individual. And also, let's recall that one of
the keywords for the sun ruled Leo archetype is courage.
So it would seem that by the third quarter waning
portion of this month's loop cycle, that the people are

(53:02):
standing up more courageously against the domineering, controlling powers that be,
and that this became even more obvious since the recent
nationwide no King's protests through to the results of this
November fourth election. As we wax toward the November fifth
tourist full moon aka the height of this month's lunar cycle,

(53:26):
so when Mercury retrograde then conjoins Mars and Sagittarius on
November twelfth, we'll be reviewing what's happened since these two
conjoined in Scorpio on October twentieth. So the deal here

(53:46):
is that again Sagittarius represents law right and particularly immigration,
so there might be some announcements or movements against some
of these things. We won't get the Supreme Court decision
on the tariff case, which heard oral argument this past
week and which appears to be that the Justices may

(54:12):
well deny Trump the unilateral ability to impose tariffs on
certain nations, but we likely won't get that result until
after the new year, and probably more likely sometime in
the spring or early summer. But Mars conjunct, I'm sorry,
Mercury conjunc Mars. The difference from Scorpio to Sagittarius is

(54:36):
Mercury can be an announcement and Mars can be about war,
but in Sagittarius it might be about law. So we
have also cases that as far as I know, haven't
gotten too far about the also unilateral decisions by the
President without invoking the War Powers Act through Congressional consent

(55:01):
to blow up speedboats coming out of Venezuela or elsewhere
that they claim are being driven by drug traffickers with
no proof. So there might be some movement on that
there's possibility that there might be movement also, if not
before November twelfth, then perhaps around then. It is only

(55:24):
about a week from now, less than a week from now.
Right about the government shutdown and the reopening of the government.
I don't know. I don't like to make predictions. I
feel more like you know, Mars is angry and more.
I mean, there could be motivated to make an announcement
that's beneficial and optimistic because it's sagittarius. But we'll see, right,

(55:50):
So you know, Rob Hands says that you need to
handle this transit with care, but it can be quite
useful if you exercise some restraint. And on the plus side,
it confers a tremendous intellectual and mental energy. You can
work with your mind much longer than usual and thereby
accomplished quite a bit. At the same time, you'll feel

(56:12):
intellectually competitive and fond of debating with others. You present
your position clearly and skillfully, defended ably, and find quite
a bit of satisfaction in doing so. Perhaps that will
be the energy in Congress. Don't know. The negative side
of this transit is obvious from what has been said

(56:32):
about the positive side. If you take yourself and your
ego too. Seriously, you may speak an act during this
transit as if you were spoiling for a fight. You
may feel quite irritable and even be set off by
rather trivial incidents. Now that of course makes me think
of Donald Trump. But whether there is some kind of

(56:56):
I don't know what the word is, vociferous um, Whether
if Trump goes to Congress, particularly the House, and says, dudes,
you guys, do youse guys have to do what I say,
you know, and he is from New York after all,
and he tells them now that they have to like
they're not going to from all reports, they're not going

(57:18):
to do away the filibuster. There's definitely resistance to that,
especially in the Senate. However, Trump might convince them to
end the shutdown and to compromise, so, you know, with
the healthcare issues, the healthcare subsidies. So we don't know, right,
but let's keep our ears and eyes open and we'll
see what happens. But we'll keep our eyes on the

(57:41):
on those particular dates, right because the energies are waxing
and Mars Mercury, Mars will exact on the twelfth, but
the events that occur might happen before then. All right,
well I'm over time now, so thank you everyone for
joining me, and I hope you found the information presented

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
