Now. This is the FCB podcastNetwork. This is Fascist Pass with Victoria
Henley. Hi everyone, and welcomeinto another episode of Backstage Pass. It's

(00:28):
your host Victoria Henley here from LosAngeles. We are talking with Gianna Gianni
Marqua from the Los Angeles Fashion Show. Gianni, how are we today?
I'm good, nice sunny day inLA. How are you? Yes,
awesome, I am doing great. We are so excited for your upcoming show.
I just want to dive right in. You know, there's so many

(00:49):
shows in Los Angeles as a partof Fashion Week, but the Los Angeles
Fashion Show, this is a bigdeal. This is bringing a lot of
designers from all around the globe toLa. Tell us a little bit about
this. How did you get involved? Well, we're actually a film production
studio. SAS has been around sinceone We've worked on a lot of big

(01:10):
projects like you know, Avatar andHunger Games and Iron Man. We've had
our foot in a lot of differentfilms and so this company production has been
a big part of it. Rightand when we have the opportunity to start
doing these fashion shows, it wasreally easy for us. We were able
to dive in pretty deep. Andbecause of our company's history, we were

(01:32):
able to kind of coordinate something that'sbigger than ourselves. Yeah, our fashion
show has grown, you know, tenfold to what we expected it to even
be. And we're so happy tobe able to express modern fashion in a
world that doesn't necessarily have that nicheyet. You know, New York and

(01:53):
Milan and all these other places reallyhave a fashion show, whereas LA is
kind of finding its roots still, and I think that we are one of
the shows. There's a few inLA, but we're one of the shows
that are really like bringing it homefor that Absolutely, that's that's really interesting.
So, so your roots are infilm production. As far as your

(02:15):
involvement are you is your background? Are you a fashion guy personally? What
is your role in all of thisputting it together and making it happen.
So I handle operations of SAS andour Los Angeles division, our companies in
three different states California, says seein Kentucky, and so I kind of
run our operations for the Los Angelesdivision. You know, we have thirty

(02:39):
buildings all over LA and we havea film production studio that handles everything you
know, on this side of theof the state. So that is a
pretty big part of like our dayto day operations and where I kind of
sit in the company. Absolutely. Now, all right, the show.
The show is coming up this weekend. Tell us a little bit more about

(03:00):
if we get tickets to every dayof the show, if we just want
to do the full experience, whatare our options to see as much as
possible and what can we expect tosee hit the runway. Well, we
have a lot of amazing designers.Friday is our more urban show. It
gives you more of streetwear, thela vibes Saturdays and make sure of Gala

(03:22):
and the urban We kind of wantedto get fun, you know, beachy
vibes on Saturday, and then Sundaysare our best show in my opinion.
We have beautiful designers like Sema Collectionon we have you know, a bunch
of other people. A few ofmy personal favorites are going to be Sunday,
So I think Sunday is the bestticket. But we are super happy

(03:46):
to like spread the experience, Sowe made a three day pass that you
can get on event right for theshow Friday, Saturday, Sunday. There
are individual tickets depending on what yourvibe is, but if you truly want
to experience back week, I thinkthe three day pass is the best,
and there's discount set that come withgetting a three day pass as well VIP

(04:08):
or regular. Yeah, this isa very exclusive and you know, premiere
opportunity to see progressive fashions, internationalglobal fashions from around the world. So
we're going to be posting up allof these links if you want to get
your three day pass, if youwant to come individually, we will let
you know how to make that happen. There's a lot of designers that we
personally work with and would love tomaybe send your way. So if we're

(04:29):
a designer, maybe a retailer thatwants to get involved in the show,
what is that process like. Well, on our the La Fashion Show website
there's actually sections on there where designersor models or sponsors or anybody. It's
very laid out for that. Soanybody who has idiots and getting involved,

(04:51):
we'd love to hear from you.Again, too big, too small,
none of that really matters to us. It's not really you know, something
that we are trying to monetize.Truly, we just want to bring this
to the forefront of fashion and makeLA and the LA Fashion Show, the
biggest show that's possible. That's great. I love that. Okay, great,

(05:14):
So we'll be letting everybody know howto get involved next season. Now.
I know that there's some really coolthings on the horizon coming up,
I believe in September and of coursemoving forward. So what is I guess
the short term plan here, whatcan we expect to happen with you all
for the remainder of this year, and what's maybe the five year plan if
any? Wow, at the endof this year we have we're starting the

(05:39):
transition for us with this fashion show, and that transition is we want to
make this an experience. There's ahigh rise that's in our side of town
in Culover City that we're looking toexpand into. And with that, you
know, there's twenty floors of differentexperiences that we want to you know,
dive into. And I know itsounds like a very big project, but

(06:01):
every floor is supposed to be somethingdifferent. We want like carnivals on one
floor, we want something you know, like raver Paradise in the other,
but then high fashion on this floor, and then you have the urban street
where like every floor is so supposedto be its own like experience. A
Coachella for Fashion is really the endgoal for us. We really want to

(06:24):
make this something otherworldly. Everybody doesfashion shows and during fashion week it's really
fashion month. We want to,you know, create the next big thing.
And with that, it's a biginvestment for us. So I don't

(06:44):
know if it's it's something that meand my team are so happy to have
the grassroots and production because this nextshow is going to be something I don't
think anybody's ever seen before. That'sincredible, that's great, So we're really
excited that we're gonna definitely stay intouch. Now this Coachella for Fashion,
is this something this is happening inSeptember or this is for like future maybe

(07:08):
more long term goal. We believeit's going to be happening in September.
We definitely have the building in theprocess and we're already planning for that show.
You know, if it's if itdoesn't happen, then it would happen
in March of the following year. But I mean, truly it's already in
the works. I mean, Ithink that it can happen in September.

(07:30):
Yes, well, I for oneam very excited. I know a lot
of people are blown away by thattoo. It's a big undertaking. But
we're going to be letting everybody knowhow to get involved. Whether you're a
creative press media, you want tocome just check out what this is all
about. So Gianni tell us ifwe want to get tickets, if we
want to follow you on social mediaand just stay connected, how do we
do that? My personal as amark blowd TV on Instagram, our fashion

(07:56):
shows to the La Fashion Show.We have a website, the La Fashion
Show, where you can get allthe information you need for this. And
you know, our parent company, the one that started this whole thing for
us, says movie Studios a forefrontfor production. Since one essaysmovie studios dot

(08:16):
com is a good place for thatas well. And again like no big,
no too big, no too small. We want to hear everybody and
if there's a way that we canget somebody involved. I you know,
the Coachella fashion is coming and Ithink anybody can be a piece of it.
I love that. I love thatit's big, it's inclusive, and

(08:37):
it's different. So we're going tobe looking out. It sounds like amazing
things will continue to happen for youon the horizon. And thank you so
much for spending time with us today. Yeah, thank you. And something
I just wanted to say before wewrap up is, you know, we're
so happy for all these fashion showsthat are happening right now. I see,

(08:58):
in fact, a lot of people, you know, feel very competitive
about this. But something that mycompany really wants to bring out and show
is just that this isn't a competition, right. Fashion is something that's beautiful
and it's suposed to be expressive, and if all of these companies, if

(09:18):
we can come together, we canmake something that the world is proud of.
You know. It's it's LA againstthe world. It's not us all
competing in LA. So let's alldo this big for fashion and make something
special. Well I'm glad that youyou know, that's that's a really great
note to leave on because believe me, I've worked in this and in reality
TV and it's not always pretty andit's not a cohesive, networking kind of

(09:41):
thing. So that's that's great thatyou stand for that. Yeah, we
should all be in this together asa team. I wholeheartedly agree I do.
And so yeah, if you wantto come again. We're gonna you
know, we highly encourage you tobe involved. If you can't coming in
for the show coming up this weekendin March, come in September. You
know, se you what they're allabout. Get on board. Even if
you're you know, maybe just doingsmall shows, you're just getting into this,

(10:05):
or you're a really big established deal. You don't want to miss out
on the LA Fashion Show. Gianni. I really love what you do and
so happy to be involved. Thankyou again. Yeah, thank you so
much, Victoria. It has beena pleasure to talk to you about this
and say, anybody listening, thanksso much for your time just listening and
getting to know us as a team. We're here to make fashion something that

(10:28):
everybody can be in. I loveit. Inclusivity. It's just awesome right
here in Los Angeles coming up theLA Fashion Show. You don't want to
miss it. We're going to beposting all of these links so you can
follow along with sas Movie Studio, the fashion show, and more. Thank
you all again for listening to BackstagePass. We'll see you next time.
