Volodymyr Zelensky, nelle ultime dichiarazioni, ha riconosciuto che la situazione sul terreno è diventata “molto difficile”, al punto da rimettere ogni decisione ai comandanti militari che operano direttamente nell’area.
Zelensky, ha chiarito che l’eventuale ritiro delle truppe non sarà deciso da Kiev né imposto da pressioni politiche esterne, ma stabilito esclusivamente dai vertici operativi che monitorano ora per ora l’evoluzione del conflitto. Una posizione che Zelensky riassume con una frase netta: “Nessuno costringe i nostri soldati a morire per delle rovine”.
Pokrovsk rappresenta oggi un nodo strategico. La Russia punta da mesi ad avanzare in questa zona del Donbass, cercando di ottenere un risultato simbolico e militare che possa pesare anche sui tavoli diplomatici.
Secondo l’analisi del governo ucraino, Mosca cercherebbe di sfruttare un eventuale arretramento di Kiev per influenzare il dibattito internazionale e rafforzare la propria posizione nelle trattative.
Sul terreno, i combattimenti continuano a essere intensi:
artiglieria, droni, assalti di fanteria e una pressione costante sulle linee ucraine. Le forze armate devono decidere se mantenere le posizioni, rischiando di logorare uomini e risorse, oppure procedere a un ripiegamento tattico per evitare perdite elevate in un’area ormai quasi completamente distrutta.
La comunicazione di Zelensky appare dunque come un messaggio duplice:
da un lato, ribadisce la fiducia nei comandanti militari; dall’altro, prepara l’opinione pubblica alla possibilità che la ritirata possa diventare la scelta più razionale.
Intanto la popolazione civile dell’area continua a subire bombardamenti, evacuazioni forzate e carenza di servizi essenziali. Gli osservatori internazionali segnalano che la battaglia per Pokrovsk potrebbe diventare una delle più significative di questa fase del conflitto.
In questo contesto, ogni decisione assunta nelle prossime settimane avrà un impatto non solo sul fronte militare, ma anche sul panorama geopolitico che ruota intorno alla guerra in Ucraina.»
