Speaker 1 (00:01):
And match. Shut the gap. I'm going to do it again.
Should I come moon.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Coagdayska, good evening, you're here with boys get paid, coming
at you live from the acc Export Beer Garden studio
on a Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Again. It is the eve of Cup week. The lads
are here and ready to rip into it. We've got
the VRC Derby kicking off at about five minutes time,
so we will be watching that live and then we're
gonna get to Cup Week. We're gonna have a great
time over the next hour going through what's happening with
the racing on Saturday. Luke, how are you mate? You're
feeling good tonight? Yeah, flying mate, flying, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Can't wait to watch the oaks Gee Cup week Australia,
you know, Melbourne to start with, and then we get
New Zealand Cup Week next week.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
What a time to be a racing fan. It's great
time to be a racing fan. And there's some fantastic
coverage coming out of Flemington if anyone's watching it at
the moment we were just talking about it. Dan, you
enjoy the coverage, mate, you mate? Yeah? Oh great coverage. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I pulled up a little bit lame on Wednesday. But yeah,
I had a up this morning and I think I'm
going all right.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Now, good man, you're well back on form and you're
going to have to be because we've got a big
week coming up and we've got a lot of money
sort of starting to flow into the BGP Punters Club
pot for next week as well. We're punting on Thursday
at the Dog's Friday, at the Harness Saturday at the gallops.
Man who will be front and center of that as you? Luke?
How are you feeling about it all? Mate? Am? I?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I can't wait to lob the
one dog qunelling up with the eight and get stuck
into it.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Just do that very racially. That's a fuel proof strategy.
It's gonna be good to get down there.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
And I think we've got fifty thousand in the Punters
clubyb even just gone past that fifty three?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Have we fifty three? There we go?
Speaker 3 (01:37):
So I think people are slowly getting their head around
putting money into the pot via the tab app. The
tab app is the only way to do it. Under
the more function down the bottom right of the screen.
All the details from the BGP app as well. That's
probably the easiest way to do it. You click on
the link and it should just load up the app
for you and you can move money from your tab
account into the pot.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
So fifty three k in there? What you boys? Reckon
it'll get to by the time we close it up
next Thursday. It's going to hit that two fifty late
last time, isn't it too fifty? Yeah, I was thinking
around the two hundred K. Between two hundred and fifty.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
I reckon, if we can get to one hundred k
by the end of this weekend, yeah, two fifty is
possible for sure.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
I reckon. If we get two fifty, you're going to
turn it into five million. Wow. So what you said? Yeah,
look great, Hey, Look but the BGP Punters Club at
Cup Week two years ago was the most successful in
terms of profit that we've had, so we know the
lands like it down South, so it's a good time
to be involved in it if you're not already for sure.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting down there and just
getting part of the atmosphere as well. It's always a
good time down there at Cup Week, and yeah, I'm
sure that the punters will be tearing into it, so
we'll probably even have a bit on the Thursday at
the Harness as well.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Oh of course what's Thursday is Ashburn, isn't it? Cash Bird? Yeah? Nice.
I think we've got a nice top four. We did
a sizzle video this morning Dan for the BGP Punters Club,
and I remember there was a top four at Ashburden
two years ago, wouldn't there that won a bit of money. Yeah, yeah,
there was.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
It was like one hundred grand or something from a
twenty five k bit or something like that. It was
was pretty it was pretty spicy.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah. The lads go good, and the fields are out early,
so they're getting set to go, and of course we're
hitting down there, Dan, you're hitting down there on Tuesday, Luke,
we're hitting down there Thursday morning. Yeah, after the best
of VGP will be ready to go and we're going
straight to the Dogs on Thursday night. Out of all
three events, I'm really really looking forward to Cut Week,
but I just feel like for one hundred and seventy
dollars at the Dogs for all you can eat and
(03:24):
all you can drink to kick off your sort of
three day not bend a bit good time down there.
It sounds great, Yeah, absolutely. I think that's Yeah, it's
great value.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
And I think you know, it's not obviously not the
busiest day there as well, so I think you can
sort of really let your hair down and just chill
out and relax. There's not like the hustle and bustle
of you know, maybe the Tuesday where there's twenty thousand
people and then the Saturday when there's twenty thousand people,
it might be a day where you can sort of
just you know, enjoy company, you know, like maybe it's
a little bit more refined.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
There the pups out maybe how good they Yeah, how
often do the pups go around?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Is it like is it racis every twenty minutes or
about that? Yeah, it's pretty flicking fast. See that's good. Ah,
I like good.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
And I won't say that. I was going to say
there's slots on course as well. I was going to
trick you, Oh, they need to be encouraging.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
There is there a dog slot race.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
There is one over at Melbourne. I think perfect tab
In tame on it.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
I think there's another one coming up towards the end
of the year. But anyway, and then of course Friday
we're off to the Harness.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
The Harness we are, and we're going to be on
a lawn there at the finishing post. Apparently it's going
to be the absolute best standing position that you can
find on course as well. They've saved it especially for us,
so that's pretty cool as well. It should be a
sunny afternoon twilight and Canterburild.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I thought, yeah, and if you're going to come along
to the Dogs, just the heads up. They need to
know for the caterers how many people are going to
be coming along. So yeah, if you are intending on
coming but don't have a ticket yet, then pleees go
into the BGP app and get that sorted before Monday,
because I think Monday is when they want to start
firming up the catering. Otherwise you might be fine to
participate in the all you can drink, but you might
(04:54):
not have any of the Buddy Ham carverry or whatever.
The three course meal that they rolled out for us
might be no desert for you. You might have to have mine.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
What are we getting at the Harness on Friday, Dan,
do we know? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
We get four beers and then they're providing food throughout
the day, So I think they're going to provide like
a proper meal and then maybe some like Wago beef
pies and things. Yeah, like we had a bracket the
other they were real good at the eating near the
end of the day, the little savories and stuff that
that started rolling out.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
They really are it savors make their premium Wagu beef pies.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Okay, cheese platter, Oh, cheese platter is the harness. It
is Friday night, after all, I think that's going to
be fantastic. We've got two slot races that day as well.
I know, I'm sure, I know we haven't sold out
those tickets yet and the day hasn't sold out yet,
but surely people that are you know, going to be
hitting down there for Cup week or people in Christ
shirts that sort of haven't sorted out their plans yet.
If you're not aware, it's a twilight meeting, which is
(05:44):
just perfect for your Friday, if your long week in
you getting Canterbury as well? Is that right? They get
a day off on Monday or something like that, or
Friday Fridays a day off.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
I'll probably go for a mountain bike during that Thursday
daytime and then sorry Friday and then yeah to the
Harness later on.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Straight into it. Yeah, and of course we'll be punned
there as well, FITSI and Markham and guess on Scamman
in the background too. They'll be throwing some punts out.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
I would have thought, yeah, I won't be picking anything
my back Merlin, Is that going to back up on
the Friday?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Potentially?
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I think they're going to see how it goes. But yeah,
but they'll see how they go on Tuesday. That's the
that's the story so far.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Shit was We've got a bit to talk about it
about Merlin later on, don't we. That might be one
of the lad's best bet so looking forward to that.
Make sure you do get into the Punters Club, as
we've said, make sure you get your events tickets sorted
as well. For Thursday and Friday, we're only a week out.
The lads may still be recovering from Melbourne Cup, but
next week they'll be firing on all cylinders, are ready
to go and we can't wait to see everybody there.
I think speaking of Melbourne Cup, we're going to be
(06:37):
heading over to Flemington to watch the VRC Oaks live
in a few minutes time. But g was Dan on Tuesday, Mate,
that time at full time and Luke, of course you
guys had had a hell of a night after I left,
but I had a great afternoon. And shit, Dan, you
were picking some winners for fun out there. Mate. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Look, I don't can't claim all of the all of
the wins for myself because definitely Kimmy's was in my
giving me a few of them as well. I just
happened to be the person that was doing the administration
that day and punching him into the group.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
But man, we went on a we went on a run.
We want.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
I think that's probably the greatest punting run of my
lifetime and I don't think I'll ever live it down.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Cam was saying to me afterwards.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
When we were at at the Long Room, he was like, Mat,
He's like, I've never seen anything like it. He's like
people were changing their username and stuff in the group
to rack.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Him up and let all sorts of stuff fairly. Ah,
how good.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
So what we were doing if people didn't see it,
as we were having bits on Tuesday, and we were
placing those bits into the group inside the tab app
so you can see the bitting activity and as we're
basically you know, starting to show people what it will
look like for the Punters Club. But basically a few
of us can shaer bits into that. So people were
able to click one one click and copy some of
(07:57):
those bits and have a go and yeah, rack band
over here, we're on a little bit of a heater
and people are getting stuck in, so hopefully they've taken
a little bit of that coin and put it into
the Punter's Club. Maybe even had a bit on the
oaks here if you boys had a bit on the oaks.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, I'm on two done to screet. I'm in the
trail there. This is the horse that I've been following
for a while.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
I back the two starts back, I think, well maybe yeah,
it's nose first. When it paid fifteen bucks, I think
it was a black booker, and it just keeps getting
better and better. So I'm hoping that this is going
to do a job on him.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
But there's some pretty nice fellies in this race. Luke,
what are you are? Mate?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Yeah, I've gone hurry Curry in the Waikator stud colors. Now,
this is just probably a bit with my heart let
alone anything else, But you even know in a race
like this, and I was willing to take the twenty
three dollars. I think I got earlier on where are
you positioned about midfield? Just on the outer of there.
(08:49):
I actually don't mind to runner a race number nine.
It is called Poison Chalice and it is two dollars
ninety and from three dollars seventy, so that could be
something to have a crackhet. As Harry Curry starts to
get asked for something.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Around the fact they're coming into the straight. It's not
that long to go. We track the favorite two underd
screets getting out? All right? Who's this J Max Powers
of Opal? Is that am out front? Or that this
thing traveling outside of the Opal? You're coming Curry on,
I'm going to peak on my run here, I think,
and the Blacks going to get it done, isn't it?
H Noe Long Colors? Maybe J Leaves? That's J.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Mak down the outside. Oh, we might run fourth here,
there's two run nowhere. Three dollars seventy for top four.
That's a bit. It's third, I think, yeah, beautiful who
won favorite favorite triasure of the moment the moment four
dollars sixty Harry Curry over twenty five unred.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
That is a pretty good run. Wow, oh ship you
got mates four sixty for the place and testing welcome
the you're not more excited.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Thursday come down from Tuesday, isn't it? I Beg's a
top four so that's all right? Yeah, we show that
into a poison chalis in the last So how is
this for Tuesday?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Lad? So it started off Kimmy's with you sharing wits end,
which was the yeah, the best bit in.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
The first race, right, yeah, that piston, and then we
added opening address in the second race at Flemington at four.
In that piston, the Hooch ran top three, which we
put in as well.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
And in that punk you had the winner for us,
is that right? Yeah? Bling? No?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
No, after that, After that we had Manolo Bling at
eight bucks and that that paston and then look like
you shared Aquanella at I'm dure that that one was.
But then you gave us Aaron Bay at six fifty.
Yeah on the stream that one, and then.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
We went hard on Green Goths and that paston at
five bucks from barrier nineteen. That was leading so believable. Yeah,
and then al vincent Or at four point six Luke
in the race that was Luke, Yeah, the best force
in the rest, and then frost Fair just kicked their
heads in and then we had a couple of beers.
Then we had a couple of beers. Riskue Ruler, risk Ruler.
(11:10):
I didn't put that in the group which looked about
it on the stream though, Yeah I backed that pretty hard.
But it was one hell of a run to the
point where we started getting some hashtag band the rackman
calls coming out there because the tab might not what
you're doing the city.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I saw someone in their worried today that after the
Punters Club they're going to close the chat down so
that you can't tip winners and people. I really like
talking with you guys and stuff. So a little bit
of engagement in that group.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Well, it was a fantastic day out. Hopefully some people
got something out of the Melbourn Cup because none of
us did. But we had a great time at Full
Time Bar. Second time I've been there now, I really
really like that place. I think it's fantastic. Yeah, very
well set up and very hospitable as well.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
What I love about the Melbourne Cup is I probably
went through about I don't know ten twelve previews of
just different people inside racing having a look at what
the top four was, and there was sort of you know,
like just about everybody had something different on top. And
then you watch the race and that result, you know,
it was just out the gate, wasn't it. Yeah, I
(12:07):
certainly did not even look at that horse. So to
anybody who did back it, well done. Yeah I managed
to get fourth. It was about as good as it
got for me. But yeah, I just I guess it
just shows that anything can kind of pop up and
win that race. And that's why I think people are
attracted to it because there is a little bit of
(12:27):
that belief that you might get a raffie and someone
might be on it, or you could just pick it
by name and that that could work. So I think
it's why the race works so well. It's not always
very really is it the favorite winning.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
There's definitely plenty of money to be found, and if
you try and take it, tackle it like you normally
would for a Saturday Group one at Elleslie, you're probably
not gonna go money. You've just, like you say, you're
going to be totally rid of about it. So yeah,
it was It was a great It was a great race.
And it was a great day down at full time.
Thanks very much for hosting us. Thanks to the ACC
as well for setting us up down there for the
(13:01):
live stream. Hopefully everyone had a great day there. Get
your comments in tonight. Obviously we've got the group one
two thousand guineas coming out of record in this week.
We're going to run through that, we're going to run
through the Metropolitan and we're going to run through the
pigas of stakes. I know Luke's really liking something and
that we've got some best bets to come as well,
but we want to know what your best bet for
this Saturday is as well. I think some of the
lads struggled a little bit this week to really find one.
(13:23):
Given them some big fields down there, and there's some
sort of limited racing slightly at Tatapa, so make sure
you let us know what they are. We'll call them
out at some point before we move on. Though, we
should just recap on the last couple of weeks because
gee was lads, we had King of the Punt and
fuck I had a good day out there. That was
so good. Ah, Yeah, it was a lot of fun,
wasn't it. It was really good fun. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
I think people were a little bit confused about the
concept if you haven't entered a bedding competition before, which
is fine because you know, we haven't run on since
twenty nineteen, and you know a lot of people would
never have been in one. But even telling g Lane
about it, he was like, man, I would love to
go to something like that, so we know whether we
have another cracket at some stage as well. But once
people sort of got into it, I think it was
pretty easy for them to understand, like, oh, okay, I've
(14:02):
got one hundred dollars in my tab account.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I just have to beat it and turn it into
the most and I win the comp. Correct.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Mistery and Phoenix did exactly that, didn't they.
We were just saying before at dinner that the biggest
bit was fifty dollars and that was to win the
comp and then prior to that they'd just been going
tens and twenties.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, and I found a lot of winners then winners. Yeah. Yeah.
They took it and killed it. So they were on
Bell and the Petina. Weren't they to win the Everest
and there was four that was still live in it
and everyone had a different beit.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Yeah, everyone had a different bet and everyone went all in.
I don't imagine it's what I like about today, because
someone could have easily just sat on their hands and
not done anything. But I love the fact that everyone
was like, nah, no, let's I really see if we
can punish it and when you know, five K or
something like that, because that's what I know. I chipped
in on the last I was like whatever, like because
if someone else hits and you know, and then they
(14:51):
got four k, you know whatever.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
So I just got to you just got to dive in,
you go after it.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I thought I was going to steal it with Lahasse
and I think it was paying seventeens or something hardred
each way. Oh really yeah, second second just run down
by overdrawn or something.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
But Overdrawn won the last day.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah yeah, it might have been the second to last.
But anyway, you were going pretty good, and I feel
like you backed off the gas. I think you were
just comfortable if we you got to and thought, no,
that's it'll do.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
You know well, I just kind of thought, oh, everyone's
beending weight like more than like a and I sort
of thought I'd just sit down and see what happens
here and I sort of. And then when it came
to the last race, I think Ted was like, mate,
like you're only one hundred dollars behind or something, you
shouldn't be having a go here. And I hadn't bet
for like an hour as part of it. So yeah,
shows I suppose that if you can get if you
can get two or three winners, like I literally just
had three winners, I think, and that got me up
(15:39):
to about four hundred and fifty dollars. I didn't get
any higher than that, but I didn't get any lower
than that, and I just sat there, So I think. Yeah.
But having said that, like you or the or the
goat could have just probably made tend I could have
been game over.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
You know, it probably would have looked pretty bad if
one of us did with that comp too. I'm glad
that we didn't, to be honest, like, I'm glad that
the lad's won.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
It was pretty special for them and they were stoked
and they were great, fantastic, And we're going on the
wish for fish shout of the boat aren't with them?
We're going to organize a weekend. Yeah, yeah, for sure,
we got out, Yes, shout out to Brys Deonnan. Thanks
very much, mate, it was great to see you there
on the night. The Wish for Fish charity obviously donated
that that boat trip for the lads and whoever else
they want to bring along. What a fantastic guy and
(16:21):
what a fantastic course, So thank you very much for that.
It's always very appreciated. It was a fantastic day, even
people that didn't sort of keep going with the Punter's
club that weren't losing. I think we had somebody that
probably lost a little bit more than they should have,
but they were still having a great day out there
and his wife, you know, retired every right spend their
money and what they want to and they're having a
good time. Not winning the blessed bet as well, lads.
(16:44):
Obviously the last couple of weeks we've had Chevel Deefondu
scratched on the weekend where that was going to win
us thousands of dollars, but before that Jafi killed them,
didn't it. That is that the best blessed bet we've
ever had up there with Bella Waters, Yes, I would
say so we blessed bell the Waters.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
We just know we also blessed Snazzy Tavvy as the
last blessed bet last year last season.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Yeah, and that was that was pretty big. Yes, fifty.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
I just think the like it just shortened and shortened
and shortened Old Jaffy, didn't it. I think that's kind
of the good thing because we have to have this
bit sorded by Wednesday night.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
We're backing ourselves pretty early.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
I think even the tab said they're like, ship this
thing is going to start under three dollars, and I
think it started under two dollars.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Unbelievable, and it smashed them like a dollar ady horse should. Yeah, yeah,
it was good. It was a very very good find.
We might have an eleven dollar blessed pit this week.
I love it, these the goats, and for me, he's
looking forward to the Punters Club started this thing starts
three dollars or something like that, would yeah, it would
be good. We'll get to it. There's been some good
best bits over the last few weeks as well. Most
(17:51):
of the lands have been finding some top three money
back for everybody. But look, you had a very good
one in the Odyssey that you were keen on on
King of the Punt Day. That was a good win.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Yeah, it's cool to be there. What should actually do
exactly what we needed it to do live in the flesh,
and I think we were all pretty confident about the
the two hundi that we were probably even the three
hundred that we were.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
We were accounting our cash.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
So yeah, good to see one last week was biz
a Herbert, no sherbet at all. Yeah, my word was
that because it was just too heavy or I don't know,
like it's got through.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
A heavy track before, but yeah, the whole way. Yeah,
it was disappointing. You were unlucky too, Dan sands Dute
just didn't tough to watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that
was very day.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yeah, but I mean it's a get back horse anyway.
But that was just such a good field and then
a big field. It just had no where to go,
never never even looked likely at getting getting a split through.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
And it's brutal w in like you know J Max
riding so well, and you're like, right, we've got J
Max on sans doute, like everything lines up. This is
just almost too good to be true, and then oh
yeah it is. It's just can we get through that? No? No, no,
it didn't even really get tested. So ah the punt,
it's cruel, right, punting a wild night for tid didn't
in any lack lads. That was really impressive. Massive, Yeah,
(19:03):
that was like.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Kick their heads and yeah almost Jaffy yes, like you know,
it was very similar like it.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Yeah, it's easy to forget that that horse is it?
As a three year old it ran like pretty well
in the even the Herbie Dike. I think it might
have run or one of those longer distance races that
like had a really really good season last year, maybe
had some niggles for some reason, didn't go very well
all a couple of times, and you can forget, but
that's a good horse.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah, group one horse they reckon. That's the whisper crazy
saying that or not the time?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Oh yeah he did say that, didn't he?
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah, yeah, I think it'll be off the ours after
that one, probably huge. They're right tomorrow all right, and
the lad the harness lads are getting us there or thereabouts.
The luck hasn't quite been going their way that yet,
but a couple weeks coming up and we've got four
boosted runners as part of the are they going to
be the best bits? They are the best bits for
this Thursday night. A yeah, so the best bits. We've
(19:56):
got some boosted runners four Cup day on TUESDA Day
as well, and you know when those lads find form,
they fine form and they find it with some big
money winners. So make sure you stay tuned for that,
right O, kick your best bets coming in out there. Team.
Let's get into the two thousand guineas this Saturday lads,
first group one of cut week, and we've got a
(20:17):
dollar fifty favorite which may or may not be surprised
and given the form that it's had Sealy, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
This horse has been pretty bloody impressive, hasn't it. So
to see it come up a dollar fifty as you know,
as short, I didn't think it'd be that short. I
was having a look at it in the futures recently
and it was still two dollars I think up until
last week. But yeah, there haven't been too many horses
except for this race by the look, so sevagely looks
to have it all parceled up. But also like unreal
(20:47):
training performance and where they've placed this horse. But look
at the format one two one one just and it
was pretty bloody impressive. The other day too, wasn't it.
So you know, I couldn't really make a case for
anything against it. You know, I know we keep having
a look at Kiwi Skyhawk, but it just doesn't quite
show us enough to think that it's going to beat
(21:08):
a horse light seven Glee, And you know they'll be
hoping to win this group one and look at breeding
in the future with it as well, so they will
have this horse tuned to the minute. Sam Spratt rides
should get the mile, like what if you take it on?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
What are you back? So naive?
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Maybe I thought that was a little bit Yeah, a
little bit disappointing last start and behind seven Glee, So
that's probably why we get in the ten bucks. And
then yeah, the Philly down the bottom of the book
five dollars fifty has taken a little bit of money,
but not often that a Philly beats the boys up
in the two thousand guinea So interesting to see what
they do with that horse, whether they back it up
the following Saturday when we're down there for the thousand guineas.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
But I just stick with seven.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Glee and I'm gonna I'm going to check in so
naive for my cornella and see if I can now
the one two.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Cornella Nice Dan, Yeah, I pretty much came to the
same conclusion as Kimmy's. I thought He's Loocid was a
really good winner finally getting up to sixteen hundred, and
you know, it just was the best horse in that race.
But the heavy track might you know, it's a big
it's got a really long stride and you know it's
(22:17):
a big, powerful horse, so maybe it suited. And maybe
if there was a wet track, I would say that maybe,
you know, it's a chance of maybe upsetting it.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
But I actually agree.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
The only thing, like so Naive last start, it was
a heavy eight and I just don't think it handled
the heavy track. But both it starts before on soft
and good tracks were really good. And so the same
race Multi Savagely to win and so Naive top.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Three is four dollars. That will be me, that's got
my money. Nice naughty, that's a yeah, yeah, yeah. You've
got to kind of look at those same race multis
here or Cornella's, like you say, because Savagely has shown
nothing that it's going to get beaten, show no reason
that it's going to get beat And what happened to
Dream of the Moon. I saw this was the it
was in the nominations. I thought that that might be
(23:03):
a sneaky because you've got to look at these races
and think, okay, attack, I am going to do anything here.
So that horse has gone. Don't know why. Yeah, I'll
find out tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
But it was on their list when they sent it
to me that that was two thousand guineas whin Stars
a line, Dream of the Moon, so that their intention
was to send it there.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
So something's obviously gone. Well, who's Kevin Stott writing when
Stars a Line? As well? It doesn't seem like you jockey?
Is he? Yeah? Yeah? Nice? Did he ever win it
the other day? Is he riding down south? Sorry, I'm
not I just don't. I'm not sure I saw him
win the other day. I'm sure you bit us at
a race. We beck something and you've got to be
a good jockey to get on a taco horse, so
(23:40):
it must be all right? Yeah? Good? Do we know
anything about when stars a line is? When stars align?
Any chance here for Taco? No idea? I'm asking two
hundred questions. Yeah, find out tomorrow. Are we live at
one pm tomorrow? You've got reech Trump for tomorrow, So yeah, fantastic.
I agree, he's lucid, loves the heavy track. I think
(24:00):
the only time it went on a good track, I
had it as a best bet and it was three
wide the trip. It's still finished, okay. I think it
ran fourth at Hardward. It finished okay, So I reckon
that the horse can run top four. But yeah, on
a good track, you're probably looking around, you're probably going
to find it a little bit hard. So I quite
like that same race Malti that you've just mentioned there
Den It sounds pretty good, tidy. What about love Poem,
(24:22):
It's going to be in there too. You mentioned that. Anyway,
Let's move on right over the Metropolitan, which I think
is race eight, a staying race over twenty six hundred meters.
Who wants to go first here, lads, because there's a
few familiar faces and this is Boomtown boy, one of
these ones that you've been talking about, an old nestig
from Melosy.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Yeah, Boomtown did my do on on the other day.
I tossed up between Boomtown and beaver Town. I'm like,
what's going on here? Surely, surely the Boomtown on this
track and just had its head absolutely kicked in by
Beavertown Boy. But I see beaver Town Boy, Kelly Myers
is on and by all accounts, this horse is going
pretty well and it was a pretty impressive win the
(25:01):
other day. But yeah, they're just pointing out with boomtown
Boy something really bizarre. Nine dollars opening quote to tens
to nine to seven and a half to six and
a half to six.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
So I wondering if the stable.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
Doing the other little switcher Rooney here or I'm trying
to get the punters on one and get themselves on
the other. I don't know what's going on, but I
want to be a part of it, Okay, I want
to be a part of it, So I'll get back
both of them. Yeah, well yeah, no, I'm an idiot, mate,
So I'm going to stick with Boomtown Boy and I'm
just going to go one of them and take the risk.
So we've got Tina Kamiyagi on board, and that's who
(25:33):
I've ended up settling in with is Boomtown Boy. I'm
going to give it another chance. Adrian bull Master at
taking horses down here. He always wins a race, isn't
he yeah, and having a crack at this So I
hope that they both end up in the Cup because
I've already taken a future's bet at six is a
place on Boomtown boy.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
So the Cup? Yeah, fantastic, So do you JBG? Yeah?
Maybe it is. Can it win first past the post?
Oh we have to ask. Surely there'll be another some
odds out for that, eh, But alj has been pretty impressive.
Is the not the good track?
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Because I think it's going to be a good track
down there, and but has performed on a good track
and just a classy, classy animal.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
But also yeah, this.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Digg pretty short four point eight into three dollars fifty.
The money has certainly come for this horse already, Marti
and cart right. It was pretty impressive when we were
at Allesley the other week and the end was a
little bit flat in that race.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
But I don't think it goes any good? Is it?
Third up? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Third up? Five starts for nothing? So two wins fourth
up from four starts.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah, it won this race last year as well. True? Yeah,
can you win the New Zealand Cup last year?
Speaker 4 (26:43):
No?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
What run the New Zealand Cup? Mar John? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:48):
So yeah, maybe that's the marsh You probably knows what
he's doing here getting this horse ready for this race,
keen to win and then into the cup. But yeah,
I've gone boomtown Boy, and then I think this Egg
will be a close second behind me and probably LJ
for third.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Damn mate. They're carrying some light weights here, aren't they.
They're fifty three kgs because Lj's got to carry sixty,
so yeah, not carry a lot Dan.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
So for me, I went through all of that same
stuff and I thought the majority of these horses are
really gunning for next week, but one that I didn't mind,
and I think it's actually probably going to look looking
the way that this money is trending, I think this
is going to get out a better price. Is Marsa
been Yeah, fourth up, it's two from two. Haven't gone
(27:32):
any good at the distance, but good tracks and soft
track it goes well, but good track. I think it's
probably going to go better. And it's last start. Just
had a little bit of timing about it at Waverley,
running second behind Battle Secret. So I'm hoping that that
horse is going to drift a little bit and I'll
be happy just to have a little each way, play
on that, pay the.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Bills, grills on for Walker Burgerson.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
No doubt they're going to fire up and heat up
for a cup weeks, so i'd probably just yeah, I'll
probably stick with that.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah, I quite like that horse as well for this race.
I don't I'm not confidently going to bed into a
metropolitan twenty six hundred metres a few days out from
his Chilling Cup, because I think they probably will go
for the New Zealand Cup. But last year I like
this horse, and when I started betting on it, for
some reason, it fell apart. I don't know it all,
just like it just sort of running real shit. But
it was really impressive at the start of the season,
(28:22):
so I saw it as run it was it harder
or or tucky. One of the two. It ran really
well A so I'll probably follow you into Meserbean and yeah,
like you say, Marsha heat, I think he won the
Zelling Cup two years ago, maybe Lincoln King or something
like that, or maybe the year before. I don't know.
He knows what he's doing, So Nestig should be ready
to roll. Sounds like we're around Nestigg, Mezzerbean and Boomtown boy.
(28:43):
Was it Beavertown boy? Boom Boomtown Boomtown Boomtown boy. All right,
this is a pretty cool race. Lads the Pegasus. Make
sure everybody keeps their comments coming in as well. Let
us know who you think is going to win any
of these races. What's your best bit for the weekend.
We will get to them shortly after we chat through
the Pegasus stakes over a thousand meters. This is a
pretty cool race, Dan May, why don't you kick this
one off? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (29:04):
I've said it on two horses here. Funny enough, they're
in the same colors, Lisa, Snakes and ladders.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Now this horse, we've.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
We've got a bit of a history with this first one.
Oh link Lincoln's cruise.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Cruise it all over the show. Yeah, that's exactly where
to put it. Gee whizz this horse.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Yeah, race is very unkindly and it's not you know,
like you don't have an enjoyable watch when you watch
it race. But when it gets it right, ho Lea
smokes this horses.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Real good, loves trent them, doesn't It is that right?
I don't know about at it, but second up, it
is a winner.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
It's a bit of a risk but it's six dollars
and two dollars twenty so I have a crack at that.
And then Platinum Attack as well, I think is just
this race is right for the for the taking here too.
From two distance goes good on a good track, three starts,
two wins and a second.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
That's enough. That's enough for me. I'll just back both
of those six fifty and six bucks and then I'll
probably come out of winner solid mate.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Yeah, yeah, I when I first went through the fields,
I thought, oh, that could be my best bit this weekend.
Platinum Attack, I thought it was pretty good at today
Apa first up and on probably a track that may
not have suited it massively, and first up and second
up doesn't have the formal stats there yet, but I
(30:29):
think on a rock hard, good track at one thousand
meters the way Kelly Myers is riding at the moment
as well, I think that it might just be a
little bit special this horse. And I wonder if it's
ready to win or maybe it backs up on that
into that next race later in the week and ends
up winning second up. So when we're down there on
the Saturday, so I guess we will find out. But
(30:52):
the radiant ones come up favorite and it's drifted out
a little bit, but first up at six starts and
hasn't won first up, so you know, maybe a couple
of these is going to need the run. But yeah,
I thought Platinum Attack. It was then behind Shoes as well,
first up, and then we sure shoes come out and
win again.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Just can't stop winning in a hot field as well.
There was a hot seventy Yeah, yeah that that race
actually got quite a lot of form. Livid Sky ran
second to start after that, Mars ran second on Tuesday,
Dazzled I think might have run a placing after that
as well. And Petrussy's gonna win on Saturday, So good
form coming out of that race. Just get on Platinum Attack.
I agree. It's two runs over one thousand meters, clean
(31:30):
them up. Yeah, could be a good bit. I think
it's worth having a bit, now, isn't it? Yeah? Right now?
Send it all right, let's just do that And what
are we going to do there? What are we going
to do next? Lad's why didn't we make this the
blessed bit? Can we bless it?
Speaker 4 (31:44):
I think there might be might be a bit of
a bit of chatt inside the office.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Yeah, we might know better. Get that one over down.
Our blessings you reckon? All right? And are we going
to go on the on the on the comments over here, Well,
we'll see what everybody else is thinking about those. We're
good to go mate.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
In the chat here, we have riches on Giga kick
this weekend, all right. We have Reagan who is all
over Balatrix Star who will be flying home.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Okay, Dan.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Dj on that was a good song. Rihanna was that? Yeah, girls,
girls get off post, girls get off post.
Speaker 5 (32:26):
All right, so that's quite revealing. Anyway, We'll go straight
to Stuart who is all over Masakato and Rickenen this
week and your race. We have Robbie who is for
so naive and race tenant Rickenen. Really Molly Bloom is
in the matriarch stakes this week.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Nice nice.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
I did spot then and then I think it might
be fourth up. It was pretty good run last start too.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
So we've got Babylon Berlin teed up a race six
ethereal Star. There's quite a few here wanting to have
a cracker. Va Sustine teed up a race sixeriatrics This
is all coming from the Facebook page here. I rate
this one the most suffer for more for any time
(33:08):
try scorer. Thank you Brady.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Let's just get our line outs right first, Baby steps
a legend.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
We have Southern Comfort, Comfort and race ten.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
And that's a poker co today, wasn't it.
Speaker 5 (33:24):
Yeah, it's the which I think is probably wrong as well.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
We'll go for one more.
Speaker 5 (33:31):
And it is bow Clear Rosehall Race seven.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
I'm guessing this weekend lovely stuff.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
There are a few in the like Molly Bloom Yeah, yeah, surely,
like it was just so good and it just gone
to Australia just sort of it has to be better
than that, I think Wallace just yeah, just baby trying
to peek it for something quite work it out, but
we're gonna miss it.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
It was a better run last start, Yeah, it was
way better. Yeah, and it's one from one Fortharb yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Nice. Hey. There were a couple of bits and we
didn't even I didn't put this in the run sheet.
But we've got the Legacy Lodge sprint at to DARPA.
I'm not sure if you guys had a look at that,
but there's been a babbyl on Berlin. There's a bit
of geriatrics coming through their Jerry Actricks run last start
was pretty impressive, A like that was really really good.
But this is a that's a tough race there with
Mercurial in their Churchillian's even a good horse, seems to
(34:19):
run top four all the time. Daniel Narclay is there
with pour the wine. Surely that just cleans them.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
I love the way your voice, just like win up
a couple of notches there.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Exn't seen him yet, how do you know? And Daniel
damn Daniel catch up with the lads.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Pikey did say the other day Churchillian is going to
be better second and third up. Okay, so he reckons follow,
but he reckons this is a real good, real good
Mayre this one.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
I'm unstoppable down the bottom of the field. Ran some
good races for Wixford last year as well. Are you
guys having a bed into this race before we move on? Shit,
that's thirteen's into seven dollars fifty nine dollars on the
odds surge? Ye? Did they did they tell you that one?
Speaker 4 (34:58):
I didn't talk to them, Andrew Scott, No, he I
get around, have got no horses going down a couple weeks.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Ah, yeah, okay, so they're cleaning up at the moment
they got some good They had a made a runner
that won by like five or six links and a
couple of weeks. Was it a great ory? Something rather peky,
was it? Yeah? The old golden fingers you reckon.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Reminder that there's a winner for us in the last
Flemington tonight. Poison Chalice is what's called something chealous.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
It was your bit, So we're going to watch that
as well. A bit on it. All right, lads, let's
keep moving along here. What else do you like this weekend? Dan?
Shall we start with you? Mate? Have you had time
since Tuesday to go through the fields?
Speaker 4 (35:43):
No, to be honest, I haven't. I haven't really gone
gone through. But what you could do is you can
join the b GP group and you know what I
playing in there as we as we go. I think
with such a big week coming up, I think I'm
going to place a lot of my bets today and tomorrow,
(36:03):
and I think I'm going to probably I'm not going
to sit down for the whole day of raceunthing. I'm
going to spend spend some time with the kids before
I go away for a whole week, and probably just
catch the catch the replays or something at the airport
so I can watch all the races.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
This is really unusual. Yeah you will. I'll still be betting,
I'll be you know. Yeah, yeah, I quite like sometimes
not watching it and just sitting down, you know, at night,
just watching the replays, working through it in your own time.
How do you pull the replays up or do you?
On Scott You've got to be very careful about seeing
the results and check down.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Yeah, yeah, it is quite hard. I have to beat
chats and all this kind of stuff, you know. Yeah,
it's weird, isn't that. Yeah?
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Yeah, I like as I tried to do that with
the Group one and then WIT's end as well. But
even when I saw that I had like six notifications
on Messenger, I'm like, oh it's in. I'm like, come on,
I love racing like this trying to go oh no,
you go to race replays.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah, you don't go to the result. You go to
race replays and they don't have the result. You just
go straight to the video and you click straight on it. Yeah,
and then to try this out. How did I know this?
And then in Australia there's sky racing and there's a
race replays there too, so you don't actually need to
go to the result. Brilliant. Well, watching racing live is
fantastic because you get to hear everybody's what's happening with
(37:19):
the odd stad Taylor comes and lets you know what's
going on. So you're not having a bit outside of
your best bit this week day and nothing else you like, No.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Not at the stage, man, I think there's gonna be
plenty coming up this week plenty. The only other one
would be what was my best sheaf? That's the only
other one. So that's done in rickingtam But it's got
about wide barrier draw. But I think the key is
going to be that good track but just very very
wide barrier draw and I think that's why you get
in the price. It's still come up favorite, but I
think it's like five bucks or five fifty or something.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
That's actually a talking point because on Tuesday we were
talking about how many of the best bits as always
to one or two runs later come through. We had
risk a ruler, we had frost fear, we'll have sheaf
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
FITZI had forgiveness that he tipped out, and then it
came and won two starts later, paying twenty five bucks.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Yeah, you've got to stick with them, ay, because you
know you're betting on them because you've seen something that
they're in form, so they don't just lose form all
of a sudden today.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
Yeah, yeah, there's just a little bit of something going on.
But there's there's been there. There's been tons of them
may there's like Glendia and all even from the harness lads.
There's been ones that have been coming out and winning
in the next couple of starts. But yeah, I know
we've all had ones that are yeah, just a little
bit later down, you know, second third start, bang, stick
with them and you just stick with them.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Luke, what else you got mate? Race eight at Todapa.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Now this race I thought was was pretty tidy.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
And you've got Kelly al Farrasher in there. Al yeah,
the horses.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
You got Livid Sky sixers into four dollars eighty oh
you still get sixers on the odds boost and then
actually there's a horse in here called Doddle.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Now just just stick with me. This is an old favorite.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah, we're getting eighteen's on Saturday. There's strawn Berry. It's well,
it's never one at the distance from three starts, which
is just outstanding. But this horse actually better horse called
Snazzy Tavy at one stage, I shit you not, that's
awesome apparently not Yeah, but second up, it's also two
from two second up and it was four far up
(39:18):
where it was it was only a length of stealing
express and was paying sixteen. So this horse could pop
up in surprise you at some stage. This is a
pretty hot field for it to jump straight into.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
And three ten top four though it's.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Taking a lot of money that Phantom Dragon yeah and
fifty yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Rid Yet it's just unbelievable. So I think that's is
that the ex Australium, I know, not that one. There
was something Australian runner that's popped up somewhere.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Who the hell was this?
Speaker 3 (39:46):
But yeah, so I'm going to have I'm going to
be watching that race. And I thought livid Sky was
really unlucky last start, and I thought it could maybe
turn the tables on Kaliel Farash the rest of the runners.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
But that Hale, by all accounts, sounds to be quite good.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
But yeah, I'm gonna I'm going to take Teagan Newman
and Steven Marsh at eighteen bucks and just have a
little little.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Play nice mate. I actually looked through this field quite
a lot because I really wanted to make livid Sky
Bespitting get after that run, and I just couldn't, Like
there's too many chances in there, like you say, And
I thought, Kelly al Faresher. I looked at it last
season again when it stepped up to sixteen hundred meters.
It was only a maiden race, but it won by
like five links and it smashed them, and then it
went on up to two thousand meters and won so well,
(40:30):
I reckon that that maybe this horse is really, really
really good and might just not be beaten.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
But so then you decided not to make you bit
or well it was drawn Berry fifteen.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
I can't do that. But then, yeah, like you said,
there's another one, Matt Matane or however you pronounce it,
with Warren Kennedy that was in the same race last
start against Livid Sky and Kelly al far Esher and
just didn't even get a run at them. It was
just held up the whole straight but looked like he
was looking everywhere for a run, couldn't get one. So yeah,
I thought about Donald two, so it's a tough race,
but yeah, value could come home there, love it all right.
(41:03):
And then yeah, the only one I thought outside of
that race seven a horse called and I know your
best bits in it. So I'm only saying top four Dan,
but mos Chino. This horse was three wide the trip
at Ellesleie Last Star and still managed to run third.
It had no it had no luck at all. I
just thought that was a pretty good run. Your best bit, Dan,
sounds very like a very good horse, so I wouldn't
(41:24):
be taking that on, but yeah, it's good. Top four
money might be worth the play.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Same race Multi he's getting poisoned, jealous into the into
the chair.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Oh yeah, I'll put it. I'll put it in there now.
I just fire right quickly before we're really rocketing through it.
Normally we're struggling to keep him, just trying to keep
us chating until eight o'clock. But I know you guys
want to go home, Jackie, all right, let's get it
to Australia before we get to the best bits. Flemington
race six ballatrick Star in the Group one Champion Sprint.
I knowed Mark Walker and Ben Gleeson said on Saturday
(41:55):
morning and all the interviews leading up to Flemington, they
just wanted to see Ballatrick Star improve and run a
good top four. It did that. Now they put it
in a Group one Champions sprint.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
I thought that was an outstanding run. Yeah, in the
in the cool wall, that was unreal. And U you know,
there were some pretty decent horses in there, and I
actually thought at one stage just like, oh shit, she
she might be about to do it. But nah, perfect
ride from jmak On Switzerland. And yeah, I mean this
is obviously a big step up, specially of a horse
like Bellina Patina that has just been absolutely kicking their heads.
(42:30):
And but as I always say, with these sprinters, it's
pretty hard to you know, to for anything for them
to go wrong and all of a sudden they're in
big trouble. How's about this horse the number four barri
Kill or something from Barrier one as well, And it
was massive last start and and ease down and yeah,
(42:50):
I'm really interested to see how that lines up against
some of these runners in here too. But six wins
from eight starts, she should love to own a hole
like that.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Right, It's not it's running third twice down the Street.
I think, well, like it loves the valley sort of
seems to crush it around the valley, So I think
there was a few question marks around it going down
the Strait. But yeah, I mean it might have just improved.
They might have been better Ballot and the Patina just
keeps impressing and we might get to the end of
(43:21):
this race and just go four bucks. Why didn't we
take that? Like that's just stupid. Why did we not
just take that money? Because she just keeps like even
last week again or was it last week Private Aisle,
So I'm going to take her on again, It's like
and then at the two hundred, I was like.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
What.
Speaker 4 (43:36):
Did I not see the everest like she was She's dominant,
Like she's really dominant at the moment. When these maors
get in this sort of form ay, they just sometimes
just like comparatorist for that period of time where she
was just beating them up. But maybe this is just
her her period of time just smacking them up.
Speaker 3 (43:51):
I really did do on myself because I went to
Ramwork for the Grand Final. I watched that race where
like it was ball and the Patina first up, and
she just savaged the line of my holy shit, I
need to start backing that horse. And then obviously the Everest,
I'm like, not ever from that barrier, d you know,
but I sit on the pod. I'm like, should a
(44:11):
horse light Ballander Patina, but the barrier and then just
like sits on. I'm like, oh, thank god, it's set
wide and it's gonna get it'll get run down here.
And then I'm like, oh, well, I can't get on
now because it's too short last start, and so then
I back against it and just do my dough again.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
I'm like, what a dickhead? Yep?
Speaker 4 (44:31):
So maybe well and this week I'll probably back Balatrix Star.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
So there you go. Punting's tough, A is gig A
kick is just his first run out of the Everest
around second in the Everest, didn't it?
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Ye?
Speaker 1 (44:42):
All right? Ballatrix Star is a pretty crazy story. I mean,
they've got a massive ownership group, which must be so
cool for the whole lot of them. But yeah, I
remember alas Poka Keui on boxing day it beat moved
to strike and who was our best three year old
last year racing? Yeah it was vlociousis Yeah, and it
(45:03):
sort of then did nothing and now it's coming over
there and running like this in Australia, Like, how does
that work? Crazy? Run third? Didn't it in the Karraka million?
So it is a two year old? Right?
Speaker 3 (45:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (45:14):
Yeah? I did it run third in the Krack of
Mills at fourth because it was the mass Rose. I
think that ran fourth? Wasn't it run third? Didn't it? Yeah?
So much? Yeah, definitely, but it's almost like I wish
I win. Right, that was sort of fairly average for
Taco here and then you know has gone over there
and blown out in Everest. But before that was sensational.
One of them.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
What was the horse that was scratched for Tiaco out
of then that was the one.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
That Masakata or Marikato. Yeah yeah that one. Yeah Ted's horse,
Ted rickins, he's got a good two year old lining
up the Saturday, didn't he It's at our race. I
can't remember what it's called, but Ted he said, it's yeah,
well sorry but Ted dropping on the comments, I'm sure
if he's listening, but yes, the Taiaco two year old
(45:58):
that is running around and that the race at Tarapa
on Saturday he thinks is going to be very good.
And then there's one that scratched out of it which
is running at Toahad and Ico on Sunday as well
in a two year old race. So if you're looking
for a bit at Toad and Ico on Sunday, it
sounds like the Taco too year old would be the
way to go. La Dorada that's Ted's horse.
Speaker 4 (46:16):
Saturday Market movers off four to twenty into three point six,
and then Luminance is the one that was scratched that's
going to Sunday.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
So the Electric Star fourth in the Klarking Millions.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
This is Right four began awkwardly losing ground, currently undergoing
box rest after sustaining a fracture to the right full
shin re examined by the stables ven Area on Tuesday,
ninth th in the March, which revealed the fracture to
the shin to be fully healed with no pain and
lameness during palpitation. The Philly has been sent to a
small paddock for a spell and now it's just kicking
the heads and running really well.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
How good? What a story? Fantastic? It is a really
great story. Hopefully it goes well on Saturday and race
seven another horse I love personally Desert Lightning is running
around at thirty one dollars and the Champions Mile. But
having said that, another wills in this race. Mister bright
Side is in this race. Fangirl Amelia's jewel won't win.
(47:08):
We know that for sure. Broad sidings of that race too.
It's raining in Melbourne. What's this lads? Just a few spits, mate,
this is poison chalice? Mate? All right, burial living. We've
got Damien Lane on board. Are we back? Second? I
think we're on the about third last stick with that's
out there everyone, We're watching track side one Flemington Race
(47:29):
nine and then we'll get the best bits. We'll wrap
it up.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
Yeah for sure, just get this one home so we've
got a bit more cash for the best bits.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
What's poison? Chalice? Pains to Eddy? Oh yeah, nice, it might.
Speaker 3 (47:40):
Be working into it sort of. Yeah, that's it coming
wide as last there?
Speaker 1 (47:44):
Let down keep swinging off?
Speaker 3 (47:47):
Yeah, speaking of cut me there, won't I hope. So
I think he's living in Australia. Gee, all right, you're
going to want to.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Keep me going.
Speaker 4 (47:55):
He was going to try get over, but I think
he's might be a bit busy. Big trouble Green out
white hat.
Speaker 3 (48:02):
Let go late, but late another third for the boys.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
This horse in the middle is looking quite good. There's
a mister brightside color, isn't it light? Inventory man? Fourth?
Not the most bright side, it's almost mister bright.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Color, sir dragon. What about Stephen McKee there on? Of course,
get that ship off for I said him, as does
it light? You're gonna win before we get to the
best bits. I didn't look at that race, to be honest,
Dan did. No, Okay, he's going to win that. Yeah,
Prodigeny is in there too.
Speaker 4 (48:37):
No, I just oh, man, that's a that's a tough race.
Oh that's that another will like he was pretty impressive
the other day, and I think he's on the way
up broadsiding very lightweight down fifty two kilos, but as
always over sixteen hundred meters. I reckon, mister b mister
brightside drawn barrier four.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
I reckon. They're going to have different tactics on prior
to Jenny this week. They're not gonna I reckon, They're
not going to go and charge out to the front
and try and run away from them. I reckon. Yeah,
they're going to try and set this race up differently.
And I think mister Brightside is going to be the
one five dollars fifty two dollars ten. He just loves
sixteen nineteen starts, eleven wins, four seconds and a third
(49:19):
over the distance. That's outrageous, outrageous, d He's sixteen hundred.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
Guess how many times I've been on.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
It's one here. I can't catch it.
Speaker 3 (49:35):
I swapped between the name prior Genny and mister bright soid.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
I'm just idiot devastating. Where's seal Wolf racing? We can
all get on that idea. But before we do, what
is the blessed bet for this week? I absolutely love
this because it's from the Goat. We've got the Punters
Club coming up next week. He loves finding value, he
loves Ricketon and he's trying to find what a massive
olds here for the blessed bet, which is fantastic.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
Oh the Goate, bloody Robbie Williams the entertainer. Let him
entertain us. Hopefully in the last race, set recording and
erase number eleven. It'll be twenty one minutes past five,
it'll jump, and shortly later it will get you paid,
paying eleven dollars. So the horse is the entertainer down
the bottom of the book. Craig grills on board with
(50:22):
Bill Thurlow. We get the good track. It's one one
from eleven, soon to be two from twelve and drawn
out a little bit wide. But the goat says no concerns.
So nine dollars out to eleven dollars. This will be
some get if we can get this.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
We wanted to take the top four. Well sorry I
didn't even even do it. But somebody said in the
chat what about top four? And he was like, what why,
what's wrong with the win? Yeah? Okay, great confidence, all right, okay,
Like we said, the Harness lads have got boosted odds
for every single race on Cup Bay. That's going to
be their best bits tonight. Dan, you get started, mate.
(51:02):
Yours isn't boosted, but you've got a best bit for
us our capday mate. You kick it off. Yeah I did.
I thought I would chuck in the best bet for Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (51:11):
I haven't been going great on the Harness, to be fair,
but I feel like I've got one here with a
Hookah Connor in race four. This is the junior free
for all. This horse winch huge last start, I think
it was a standing start maybe might have been the
Morris Home Vasa or something like that, but it galloped
away and ran fourth and went huge. But I think
(51:31):
the key to this horse is back to the mobile.
It's got a terrible draw, but you're getting a price
seven dollars and two dollars forty or something like that,
and I reckon it's just a good each way bet
a Hookah Connor. He's a talented horse and I wouldn't
be surprised to see him line up in the group
one on Friday. So I think that if he goes
away and puts us Field away, which is a pretty
(51:51):
nice field, Yeah, I think you'll be into the group
one on Friday.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
Suit will be screaming from home a record it on Friday.
So no Eddington, sorry, Luke doing scam ins? Yeah sure,
So he is in race number two.
Speaker 3 (52:04):
Sulten he pronounced it, yeah, non entirely. She Resulten has got.
I think it's Zultan Boshik boshik. Yeah, it doesn't read
like that, does it.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
I thought you would. I thought you were joking. No
creation has got really was a sample? Okay?
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Anyway, Zulten Boshka has got former around nice horses all
through this campaign draw as well.
Speaker 1 (52:34):
Usually the manners are good.
Speaker 3 (52:35):
If he steps like he can, I think he can
give them plenty to ta chase bolten Boshka.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
Mabbie markham Addington Race ten Fair and Faith. Dan, you'll
let us know what it's boosted to. But this is
a quality three year old Philly who wouldn't have been
out of place in the slot race the ascent on
Showdow on Friday will be there, victim of circumstances last
time out. Ignore that she can get a sweet trip
from a good draw here and use her high speed
to advantage to win this many Markham's Best Bet Race
(53:03):
ten Fair and Faith boosted too three dollars forty out
of four dollars max bet one hundred dollars. Game responsibly,
Oh Dan, you're on Gasso's gas mate Gaso's gas?
Speaker 4 (53:14):
Well yeah, Gaso has gone on the gas early race
number two Dave Dooley and apparently this rugby player had
a bit of gas he did he chase down Riginni Thouthoul.
Oh hell good, So you must add the gas because
old mate was fast, wasn't he? YEA a tough three
year old that will enjoy the rough and tumble of
cup day. He's at a slight grade drop here and
(53:35):
has shown gates speed previously, and I'd expect him to
go forward from barrier six. A nice trial today to prepare,
so Gaso's gas Race number three Dave Dooley, and I
think that one's at a good price as well.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
That's six dollars out to seven dollars.
Speaker 3 (53:52):
Naughty FITZI he is going to race number eleven, horse
called Merlin from Lord of the Rings Cup. This is
the New Zealand Cup Mate New Zealand Cup. Geez Merlin
tipping out the cup? When we're going for the Kiwi factor,
Zachary Butcher. We love Zach, don't we to defend the
Kiwi's name and beat the two Ossie favorites?
Speaker 1 (54:13):
Drawn a great barrier out wide.
Speaker 3 (54:15):
If he can step faster than the two Ossies and
find the front, he'll take beating Fitz. He's got the cup.
Silt it out, Merlin. What are we getting, rack Man?
Speaker 1 (54:23):
We're getting seven bucks? I think for Merlin as well.
Seven dollars there's some outstanding value. A go to the
future section of the racing page. Yeah, you have to
find these boosted ons for Tuesday. You can go.
Speaker 4 (54:36):
You can go listen to the interview that I've done
today as well with Scott Feeling, because there is a
bit of confidence in the camp around how this horse
is going. So if you're ready, big and strong and
he's ready, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Nice, he's ready. Hey, how good?
Speaker 3 (54:48):
So we've got four horses boosted out on Tuesday. Then
the phone call comes today, Hey, who approved this? He
isn't a few back channels here and there. I'll be
a really good idea to boost a few, And I say,
oh yeah, maybe we could do that straight to the top.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
How can we get these boosted out?
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Then the question starts, who's signed this off to the
ego punters? Yeah, good luck on Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
Fighting some back channels to get some booths out. Brilliant,
outstanding people are tuning up to the table we want
to get.
Speaker 4 (55:17):
We want to get the punters paid, get that bank
account or that tab account loaded up, so you can
just put it straight in the.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
Pot, absolutely win big on cap Day and chuck it
into the punters Club, which is going to close on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
And not entirely sure of the time yet, because we
don't know if we're going to be like what time
we'll be having a first bit. But once we decide
on that time, then we will get that out to people.
But the pot will close and then the betting will
start and.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
We're into it nice. All right, let's get into the
gallops best bits for this Saturday lads. I'll kick it off.
I'm going to go to Tadapa Race for Petrusi. I
think the form line for this horse is better than
it's showing first up this campaign. It was finishing really
well alongside Jaffi. We know what that horse has gone
on to do is our blessed bet last week next
start after that it almost fell out of the gates
(56:07):
and fought back to only miss by three lenks. I
thought that was a really really good finish. Some of
these are racing in the race on Saturday, so if
it gets a better run, which it should do, it's
only got nine in the field. It should be able
to beat these over thirteen hundred meters six dollars fifty
and two dollars a place. You're going to speak to
Reese Trump tomorrow and find out what Petrusi's going to
(56:27):
be doing, and also Luke's best bet as well. From Taco,
so hopefully he can give us the nod of approval.
But yeah, petruci e raise four paints six bucks.
Speaker 4 (56:35):
Nice one, mate, I'm going to race number seven at
taed Arpa and a horse called smart Love, who looks
like a pretty smart Philly out of the White Kadow's
stud colors, has had two really good seconds to start
its career and because it is a seven bill Philly
stepping up to the sixteen hundred looks ideal. And Andrew
Scott labeled it to me the other day on the
phone when I was asking asking a round to see
(56:57):
if I can find a best bit that would actually win.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
So that's enough for me. Two point eight and a
dollar forty five. Just get on. I bet when you
were real Dusty, you say you thought fucking glad you
said that. Now I'm sorted too much for a bit looke.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
Where you going, mate, nice I'm going to go down
to Rickitton since it is a cup week, we can
get ourselves started down there and race number seven of
Vivacious four dollars and dollars seventy five pretty consistent prep
was very good first up and has continued to just
get better and culminating in a win last start. Now
both wins have been at fortye one hundred meters, which
we stick to sticky draw this time. But the horse
(57:30):
gets back anyway, so I don't think it'll be too
much of a concern. Hoping for a good track, which
I assume it will be, and I think this horse
is ready to go back to back at four dollars.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Nice mate, I'm sure you're going to bounce back from
that Herbert Sherbert loss on now the Saturday, mate, your
roi is still through the roof, so we do have
two down at Cup week on Saturday. Of course we've
got the goats as well as Luke's. The Goats has
boosted Race eleven The Entertainer out to eleven dollars. Ted's
best bet is back up at Tararapa though, and race
one Ravena rose for sixty and one dollar fifty five.
(58:01):
Ted one has thought that this horse was going to
win the New Zealand Carpets. Looking like it's not quite
going to make that, but obviously thinks a lot of
this horse. He thought it was going to win the
New Zealan Cape. It's nice staying Mayor, who has had
two starts this time in with a fresh up six
at Waverley over fourteen one hundred meters, followed by second
over two thousand meters in rating seventy five company at
New Plymouth. She's third up over twenty two hundred meters
back in grad and as a two kg claim to
(58:22):
assist should be very hard to beat. That'll kick your
day off well at to up Race one. Ravena Rose
speaking of New Plymouth lads, how hard is it to
bet at New Plymouth? A We had five bets this
year and they've pretty much all run last.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Oh ouch, Yeah, can be really really tricky that they're
sort of tight.
Speaker 1 (58:40):
Turn that short straight the light skill bend yeah, nightmare right.
We've we've got to get We're got to get out
of here very quickly. But make sure you get involved
in the punters Clibe as always. Thank you very much
to everybody who has tuned in this evening. Hopefully we've
found some winners for you. Make sure you gamble responsibly
as always, But if you do win anything on Saturday,
get it straight into the Punters Club because it's going
(59:02):
to be one hell of a few days down there.
Make sure you get your events tickets the Dogs on
Thursday night. They Harness on Friday afternoon. We really really
want you guys to be there with us. We want
to create a great atmosphere. We want to have plenty
of people here to scream home everybody's winners, So make
sure you get your tickets. Day are still available. Dan's
going to be down there on Tuesday. We're going to
come down there on Thursday. Really looking forward to Cup week.
(59:23):
The weather is looking sensational. Before that, lads, you just
you know, get the energy levels back up. Watch the
All Blacks on Saturday morning. Take it easy on Saturday
and to be ready to go next week.
Speaker 3 (59:33):
Oh mate, I'll be fine up by the time we
get down there on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Really really looking forward to it. Cannibal atmosphere. Yeah, it's
going to be great. This is my first Cup week
down I can't wait to experience it with you fellas. Man.
Speaker 4 (59:44):
I'm going to be sending the energy from Tuesday, so yep.
I'm planning on being being responsible but responsibly shedding my
energy into the punt and into the content. And yeah,
hopefully we'll be able to find some winners and find
some valuable content from around in the park.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Yeah, you're going to be speaking good people over the
next few days here that are going to find us
someone else.
Speaker 4 (01:00:04):
I'm going to be asking everyone and anyone that will
anyone that will talk to me. I'll be asking and
seeing if I can find some oil, because if I
can find a little bit of oil to pass on,
I'll be doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Good man. And we're gonna try and bring a podcast
next Thursday around lunchtime. Just quickly, are we maybe see
how we go? Yeah, ill see how my mountain bike
goes in the morning. That's on Friday. That's on Friday,
Round Sumner called.
Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe in the midday maybe on
what time are you guys getting down about midday?
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Midday?
Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
Yeah, yes, we'll probably just go live from when you
guys get down there, just straight.
Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
Into it, have a couple of beers, have a little
bit of a chat, and then yeah, have a botch
of exports ready for us. Mate, we'll be fucking fin up.
It's gonna be great times. Thanks very much, ladies, Thanks
very much. Everybody is always gamble responsibly. Thank you very much. Adam.
Good luck for your first day of New Zealand Cup week.
We'll see you all Next Thursday, game, set and match
and shut the game.
Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
Going to do it again, should I come and stays
with Fronday by.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
The front, tells I have I'm run, but here's the cold.
Now he's coming.
