you know, Melbourne to start with, and then we get
New Zealand Cup Week next week.

one dog qunelling up with the eight and get stuck

And I think we've got fifty thousand in the Punters

So I think people are slowly getting their head around
putting money into the pot via the tab app. The

the more function down the bottom right of the screen.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting down there and just
getting part of the atmosphere as well. It's always a
good time down there at Cup Week, and yeah, I'm
sure that the punters will be tearing into it, so
we'll probably even have a bit on the Thursday at
the Harness as well.

Oh of course what's Thursday is Ashburn, isn't it? Cash Bird? Yeah? Nice.
I think we've got a nice top four. We did
a sizzle video this morning Dan for the BGP Punters Club,
and I remember there was a top four at Ashburden
two years ago, wouldn't there that won a bit of money. Yeah, yeah,
there was.

It was like one hundred grand or something from a
twenty five k bit or something like that. It was
was pretty it was pretty spicy.

Yeah. The lads go good, and the fields are out early,
so they're getting set to go, and of course we're
hitting down there, Dan, you're hitting down there on Tuesday, Luke,
we're hitting down there Thursday morning. Yeah, after the best
of VGP will be ready to go and we're going
straight to the Dogs on Thursday night. Out of all
three events, I'm really really looking forward to Cut Week,
but I just feel like for one hundred and seventy
dollars at the Dogs for all you can eat and

all you can drink to kick off your sort of
three day not bend a bit good time down there.
It sounds great, Yeah, absolutely. I think that's Yeah, it's
great value.

And I think you know, it's not obviously not the
busiest day there as well, so I think you can
sort of really let your hair down and just chill
out and relax. There's not like the hustle and bustle
of you know, maybe the Tuesday where there's twenty thousand
people and then the Saturday when there's twenty thousand people,
it might be a day where you can sort of
just you know, enjoy company, you know, like maybe it's
a little bit more refined.

There the pups out maybe how good they Yeah, how
often do the pups go around?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Is it like is it racis every twenty minutes or
about that? Yeah, it's pretty flicking fast. See that's good. Ah,

And I won't say that. I was going to say
there's slots on course as well. I was going to
trick you, Oh, they need to be encouraging.

There is one over at Melbourne. I think perfect tab

Yeah, that's right.

I think there's another one coming up towards the end
of the year. But anyway, and then of course Friday
we're off to the Harness.

The Harness we are, and we're going to be on
a lawn there at the finishing post. Apparently it's going
to be the absolute best standing position that you can
find on course as well. They've saved it especially for us,
so that's pretty cool as well. It should be a
sunny afternoon twilight and Canterburild.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I thought, yeah, and if you're going to come along
to the Dogs, just the heads up. They need to
know for the caterers how many people are going to
be coming along. So yeah, if you are intending on
coming but don't have a ticket yet, then pleees go
into the BGP app and get that sorted before Monday,
because I think Monday is when they want to start
firming up the catering. Otherwise you might be fine to
participate in the all you can drink, but you might

not have any of the Buddy Ham carverry or whatever.
The three course meal that they rolled out for us
might be no desert for you. You might have to have mine.

What are we getting at the Harness on Friday, Dan,
do we know? Yeah?

We get four beers and then they're providing food throughout
the day, So I think they're going to provide like
a proper meal and then maybe some like Wago beef
pies and things. Yeah, like we had a bracket the
other they were real good at the eating near the
end of the day, the little savories and stuff that
that started rolling out.

They really are it savors make their premium Wagu beef pies.

Okay, cheese platter, Oh, cheese platter is the harness. It
is Friday night, after all, I think that's going to
be fantastic. We've got two slot races that day as well.
I know, I'm sure, I know we haven't sold out
those tickets yet and the day hasn't sold out yet,
but surely people that are you know, going to be
hitting down there for Cup week or people in Christ
shirts that sort of haven't sorted out their plans yet.
If you're not aware, it's a twilight meeting, which is

just perfect for your Friday, if your long week in
you getting Canterbury as well? Is that right? They get
a day off on Monday or something like that, or
Friday Fridays a day off.

I'll probably go for a mountain bike during that Thursday
daytime and then sorry Friday and then yeah to the
Harness later on.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Straight into it. Yeah, and of course we'll be punned
there as well, FITSI and Markham and guess on Scamman
in the background too. They'll be throwing some punts out.

I would have thought, yeah, I won't be picking anything
my back Merlin, Is that going to back up on
the Friday?

Potentially?

I think they're going to see how it goes. But yeah,
but they'll see how they go on Tuesday. That's the
that's the story so far.

Shit was We've got a bit to talk about it

of the lad's best bet so looking forward to that.
Make sure you do get into the Punters Club, as
we've said, make sure you get your events tickets sorted
as well. For Thursday and Friday, we're only a week out.
The lads may still be recovering from Melbourne Cup, but
next week they'll be firing on all cylinders, are ready
to go and we can't wait to see everybody there.

heading over to Flemington to watch the VRC Oaks live
in a few minutes time. But g was Dan on Tuesday, Mate,
that time at full time and Luke, of course you
guys had had a hell of a night after I left,
but I had a great afternoon. And shit, Dan, you
were picking some winners for fun out there. Mate. Yeah.

Look, I don't can't claim all of the all of
the wins for myself because definitely Kimmy's was in my
giving me a few of them as well. I just
happened to be the person that was doing the administration
that day and punching him into the group.

But man, we went on a we went on a run.

I think that's probably the greatest punting run of my
lifetime and I don't think I'll ever live it down.

Cam was saying to me afterwards.

When we were at at the Long Room, he was like, Mat,
He's like, I've never seen anything like it. He's like
people were changing their username and stuff in the group
to rack.

Him up and let all sorts of stuff fairly. Ah,
how good.

So what we were doing if people didn't see it,
as we were having bits on Tuesday, and we were
placing those bits into the group inside the tab app
so you can see the bitting activity and as we're
basically you know, starting to show people what it will
look like for the Punters Club. But basically a few
of us can shaer bits into that. So people were
able to click one one click and copy some of

those bits and have a go and yeah, rack band
over here, we're on a little bit of a heater
and people are getting stuck in, so hopefully they've taken
a little bit of that coin and put it into
the Punter's Club. Maybe even had a bit on the
oaks here if you boys had a bit on the oaks.

three dollars. I think I got earlier on where are
you positioned about midfield? Just on the outer of there.

I actually don't mind to runner a race number nine.
It is called Poison Chalice and it is two dollars
ninety and from three dollars seventy, so that could be
something to have a crackhet. As Harry Curry starts to

The first race, right, yeah, that piston, and then we
added opening address in the second race at Flemington at four.
In that piston, the Hooch ran top three, which we
put in as well.

And in that punk you had the winner for us,
is that right? Yeah? Bling? No?

Speaker 4 (10:31):
No, after that, After that we had Manolo Bling at
eight bucks and that that paston and then look like
you shared Aquanella at I'm dure that that one was.
But then you gave us Aaron Bay at six fifty.

We went hard on Green Goths and that paston at
five bucks from barrier nineteen. That was leading so believable. Yeah,

in the race that was Luke, Yeah, the best force

it on the stream though, Yeah I backed that pretty hard.
But it was one hell of a run to the
point where we started getting some hashtag band the rackman
calls coming out there because the tab might not what
you're doing the city.

I saw someone in their worried today that after the
Punters Club they're going to close the chat down so
that you can't tip winners and people. I really like
talking with you guys and stuff. So a little bit
of engagement in that group.

Well, it was a fantastic day out. Hopefully some people
got something out of the Melbourn Cup because none of
us did. But we had a great time at Full
Time Bar. Second time I've been there now, I really
really like that place. I think it's fantastic. Yeah, very
well set up and very hospitable as well.

What I love about the Melbourne Cup is I probably
went through about I don't know ten twelve previews of
just different people inside racing having a look at what
the top four was, and there was sort of you know,
like just about everybody had something different on top. And
then you watch the race and that result, you know,
it was just out the gate, wasn't it. Yeah, I

certainly did not even look at that horse. So to
anybody who did back it, well done. Yeah I managed
to get fourth. It was about as good as it
got for me. But yeah, I just I guess it
just shows that anything can kind of pop up and
win that race. And that's why I think people are
attracted to it because there is a little bit of

that belief that you might get a raffie and someone
might be on it, or you could just pick it
by name and that that could work. So I think
it's why the race works so well. It's not always
very really is it the favorite winning.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
There's definitely plenty of money to be found, and if
you try and take it, tackle it like you normally
would for a Saturday Group one at Elleslie, you're probably
not gonna go money. You've just, like you say, you're
going to be totally rid of about it. So yeah,
it was It was a great It was a great race.

I think people were a little bit confused about the
concept if you haven't entered a bedding competition before, which
is fine because you know, we haven't run on since

never have been in one. But even telling g Lane

have another cracket at some stage as well. But once
people sort of got into it, I think it was
pretty easy for them to understand, like, oh, okay, I've

Bell and the Petina. Weren't they to win the Everest
and there was four that was still live in it
and everyone had a different beit.

I don't imagine it's what I like about today, because
someone could have easily just sat on their hands and
not done anything. But I love the fact that everyone
was like, nah, no, let's I really see if we
can punish it and when you know, five K or

in on the last I was like whatever, like because
if someone else hits and you know, and then they

You know well, I just kind of thought, oh, everyone's
beending weight like more than like a and I sort
of thought I'd just sit down and see what happens
here and I sort of. And then when it came
to the last race, I think Ted was like, mate,
like you're only one hundred dollars behind or something, you
shouldn't be having a go here. And I hadn't bet
for like an hour as part of it. So yeah,
shows I suppose that if you can get if you
can get two or three winners, like I literally just
had three winners, I think, and that got me up

to about four hundred and fifty dollars. I didn't get
any higher than that, but I didn't get any lower
than that, and I just sat there, So I think. Yeah.
But having said that, like you or the or the
goat could have just probably made tend I could have
been game over.

You know, it probably would have looked pretty bad if
one of us did with that comp too. I'm glad
that we didn't, to be honest, like, I'm glad that
the lad's won.

It was pretty special for them and they were stoked
and they were great, fantastic, And we're going on the
wish for fish shout of the boat aren't with them?
We're going to organize a weekend. Yeah, yeah, for sure,

Obviously the last couple of weeks we've had Chevel Deefondu
scratched on the weekend where that was going to win
us thousands of dollars, but before that Jafi killed them,
didn't it. That is that the best blessed bet we've
ever had up there with Bella Waters, Yes, I would
say so we blessed bell the Waters.

We just know we also blessed Snazzy Tavvy as the
last blessed bet last year last season.

one in the Odyssey that you were keen on on
King of the Punt Day. That was a good win.

exactly what we needed it to do live in the flesh,
and I think we were all pretty confident about the
the two hundi that we were probably even the three
hundred that we were.

Max on sans doute, like everything lines up. This is
just almost too good to be true, and then oh
yeah it is. It's just can we get through that? No? No, no,
it didn't even really get tested. So ah the punt,
it's cruel, right, punting a wild night for tid didn't
in any lack lads. That was really impressive. Massive, Yeah,

Kick their heads and yeah almost Jaffy yes, like you know,

Yeah, it's easy to forget that that horse is it?
As a three year old it ran like pretty well
in the even the Herbie Dike. I think it might
have run or one of those longer distance races that
like had a really really good season last year, maybe
had some niggles for some reason, didn't go very well
all a couple of times, and you can forget, but
that's a good horse.

first group one of cut week, and we've got a

dollar fifty favorite which may or may not be surprised
and given the form that it's had Sealy, Yeah.

This horse has been pretty bloody impressive, hasn't it. So
to see it come up a dollar fifty as you know,
as short, I didn't think it'd be that short. I
was having a look at it in the futures recently
and it was still two dollars I think up until
last week. But yeah, there haven't been too many horses
except for this race by the look, so sevagely looks
to have it all parceled up. But also like unreal

training performance and where they've placed this horse. But look
at the format one two one one just and it
was pretty bloody impressive. The other day too, wasn't it.
So you know, I couldn't really make a case for
anything against it. You know, I know we keep having
a look at Kiwi Skyhawk, but it just doesn't quite
show us enough to think that it's going to beat

a horse light seven Glee, And you know they'll be
hoping to win this group one and look at breeding
in the future with it as well, so they will
have this horse tuned to the minute. Sam Spratt rides

like five links and it smashed them, and then it
went on up to two thousand meters and won so well,

was looking everywhere for a run, couldn't get one. So yeah,
I thought about Donald two, so it's a tough race,
but yeah, value could come home there, love it all right.

And then yeah, the only one I thought outside of
that race seven a horse called and I know your
best bits in it. So I'm only saying top four Dan,
but mos Chino. This horse was three wide the trip
at Ellesleie Last Star and still managed to run third.

in a Group one Champions sprint.

there were some pretty decent horses in there, and I

Kill or something from Barrier one as well, And it

from eight starts, she should love to own a hole
