Speaker 1 (00:01):
Set and match, shut the gate, going to do it again?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Should I come modays.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Kyoda, good evening you are here with boys Get Paid,
coming at you live again on a Thursday night from
the Export Get Beer Garden Studio with the acc the
Gear Garden Studio. It's all happening to hear, is it. It
is great to have you with us, lads. Legs have
had a big weekend. That's why I was sort of
going off on a little bit of attention there, but
it's good to have you with us as always. It's
(00:34):
a group one weekend. We've got snazzy Tavvy Verse one
bowl Cat. The lads are going to rip into that
a little bit later in the show. G was that's
pretty exciting. But there's plenty of others to come as well.
The Australian racing is hot at the moment with a
bunch of kiwis going over there or Kestrel's racing over there.
I think Dan you were on about Bellatrick Star as well.
There's a whole lot so we've got plenty to go
(00:56):
through tonight. But firstly, lad's good to have you with
us as always. Luke you you and tip top shape mate.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, fresh airs. Obviously we took a week off last week,
so fighting ready to go.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Absolutely. Yeah, it's nice to have a little bit of
a freshen up before a group one weekend. Dan, how
are you mate? You've been battling a bit of a
bit of an illness this week.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah mate, Yeah, you know, I've been struggling since since Sunday.
I've been battling after the NRL Grand Final work up
on Monday, a little bit, a little bit rough, yeah,
but I'm starting to I'm on the mend. I'm in
the export, big garden. I've got an export. This is
the mother's nectar. I'm feeling good.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
First beer of the week, is it?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
First beer of the week? Yeah, absolutely outstanding.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Made a day with the kids as well. That I
really sort you out today when it will make you
feeling you feel alive as well? Holy dear mate. Well look,
some of us have had a pretty good weekend just gone,
but Luke none better than you. Mate. You've you've come
back from Sydney. You had a big old go over
there at Ramwick and at the Grand Final and a
few taxi rides here and there to try and find
a bag.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I understand it.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Back peck. Yeah, yeah, look I've jinxed another poor Oh.
J Mack went over there to watch him win his
one hundredth group one. Yes, and then they have to
scratch what's it called the autumn glow? Ah?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Was that supposed to be one hundredth group one?
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Well, I would assume so, so apologies to I think
that's a group one. Apologies to connections of that horse.
But covid Lek couldn't get the job done to a
little bit unlucky, but beat nim by a good horse
see a wolf. And we actually watched that when we
were at Allesley, didn't we We bumped into the owner
so well, one of the owners, Yeah, the guy that
brought the horse. Yeah, Laton his name fairly sure, so
(02:37):
I got to watch that win. But yeah, head over
there Worth Boys trip. If you have a chance to
go on one of their tours, they do it phenomenally. Well,
everything is organized for you. You barely it's so dangerous,
you like don't even have to think from you know
that there's a bus leaving ten thirty outside the hotel.
It'll take you to the races, it'll bring you back.
There's a riverboat cruise on a Sunday, all inclusive food
(02:59):
and drinks, et cetera, leading into the game, tickets to
the game, bust back and just yeah, very well run.
But yeah, I got to MC the room on the
Saturday at the races and yeah, yeah, yeah they were
st They put a lot of feedback forms out, so
I'm not sure it might have mistaken you with Nigel Vaga, mate, yeah,
and Roya Stasi was he there. He was there, mate, legit,
(03:21):
he was there. Yeah. But yeah, we had a good day.
So we put the head around. It's kind of like
old school BGP. We basically stand up, put the head around,
and we had we had about four thousand something and
it was getting a bit fiddley, so we had to
top it up to five grand just to make the
math math, you know. And we actually what we did
is we kept eighty percent of the kitty and we
had that to purr with, and then the twenty percent
was with the room. So I thought, well, it was
(03:44):
part of our bush it request. But what we did
is we then stead of had eight races, which we
delegated out to some of the different people in the room,
so that gave them the ability to pick a horse,
and only one of the selections came in, but it
was the favorite in the ipsom. But they were pretty happy.
Everyone was up and about and we managed to get
a ten percent return on the day, going all in
(04:04):
on the last on the winner.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
That's good stuff, mate, that's a good return. You didn't
have any nigglas from last year asking any questions of
your ability on the punt.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Well, what I did strategically is I could hear a
couple of chirps going, you know, so I thought, well,
I know what we'll do. You can you can put
the next race?
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Good aye, breadstick on her table to lady next one.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah. So then that kind of quietens down a table
when they fall the steam and pretty keen on something.
And then oh shit, it's not that easy, is it.
But someone backed Airman are not for the draft, not
for the punter's club, but for themselves. So they were
sort of up and about and then it was like, oh,
you just got two trifectas in a row. I'm like,
fucking teach me, trifiq dot com. Yeah, but now everyone
(04:48):
had a really good day and I think the cool thing, well,
the rewarding thing for me is actually I spen a
bit of time just sort of educated them about how
good ram wickers they've got the everest coming up, how
that works, how a slot race works. There was a
bookie by our room, so you could go and bit
with a bookie. Why you can't do that here in
New Zealand, How punting money ends up back into racing
in different sports. That are all blown away by that.
They just sort of assumed that if you put a
(05:08):
bit on the basketball that the tab get all the money.
They don't realize that that actually helps to fund basketball
hear in New Zealand. So they're actually really engaged by
it all. And then we had the master trainer Chris
Waller come in as well and explain that he could
be a Coach of the Year at the Halbergs if
they'd let that happen.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
You explained that, didn't you did he like that.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
I waited for him to be out of the room
because he he's pretty humble. He forced him to label
a few winners, but unfortunately they were no good. But no,
it was cool to have him in the room. So
the day goes really fast when you're sort of backing
each race and running a punders club and a couple
of interviews and then trying to help a few people
put bets on and things like that, but really really
enjoyable experience. And they get this suite at Ramwick which
(05:49):
is looking down to the parade ring, which is phenomenal
view and then you walk out to a bar and
you can basically see the races from there, and yeah,
there's a few key about as well. Spotted the Great
Will Jordan asked him a couple of questions. Why did
you get the double mate? I'm greedy man. I need
two tries in the game, not one, Yeah, two tries.
He was hanging out with j mate, wouldn't he Jamie's
(06:11):
turned up at the pub. You know, he has to
sign a few signatures first before venturing over to battlers
like me, and I'll chew his ear off. Sorry about
drinxing you, mate.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
No signatures for Will Jordan. He's wondering what's going on now?
Speaker 2 (06:21):
It's this couple of old birds are actually asking Will
Jordan if he could take a photo of them, and
I don't think they knew who he was. I'm like,
ladies have some respect for the Great man?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Is it all black?
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
But anyway, sounds like you had a great weekend, mate.
It's good stuff. It's always good to recap it. It
sounds you're like you learned from from some previous experience
as well. Making sure that you know everybody in the
room got to bet themselves, so you can dish it
out to them.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, to pent that, it's good fun. It's jump straight
in their dms.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely, leave us rude comments, you know, it's
a good way to go. Speaking of comments, get in
the comments. Let us know what your best better is
this weekend. Everybody that's listening in to us, We're we're
going to run through the liver Mole and the Spring Sprint.
I think it's called at some point very soon, But
we want to know what your best bet is. Let
us know who you think is going to win the
liver Mole as well. Is it going to be Snazzy
Tavvy or is it going to be one bold cat.
(07:07):
You'll find out who the lads like.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
We've also got a big announcement that we want people
to leave comments about. Massive announcement. How have I.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Forgotten about this?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:17):
I didn't want to take the rac Band's thunder mate.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yeah, do you want to tell the people about the
massive announcement. What is it? Huge announce for the Chilies.
You've you want Chili the Peppers of the Red Hot
Chili Peppers coming to the Karaka Million. Live band. How good?
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, he's bringing his sixteen year old wife.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
How good? No, not quite that good.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
But we are going to have a live band at
the Karaka Million this year in the room SoundCloud.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
How good. They're going to come in and play some covers.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Maybe we'll get a bit of Bliss going, maybe some
Sweet Caroline, some singer lungs. It's going to really I
think it's going to really invigorate the room. They're bringing
a whole like sound system, everything big enough for the
room to sort of really get the energy out between
the races, and then about twenty minutes half an hour
after the last race as well, before everyone heads down
to the after party. So I think that's going to
(08:05):
really add another level of atmosphere into the room. Yeah,
we're going to get you guys to vote on what
sing alongs you want. It's going to be compulsory singing,
So one of the songs will be there's only one
Op Boston.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Surely we'll rip into that warm the day up, and
I'm going to vote for fifty cent I get money
where they can cover that. How does that go? I
don't know. Yeah, I have to play it on my money.
Yeah that's money. Yeah, that's me. But what else? I
actually thought of something during the week. I thought, oh,
that'd be a good one.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I'm going to have to get the thinking cap on
as well then, because we talked about blessed, haven't we,
and we had we had this conversation last year and
it was there was some good there were some good
songs out there.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah, so then we have to pick one, like for
each of the three Kaka millions, right, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
For sure it could be associated almost to horse that's
in the race as well, but then that might be
too late. Who knows. We're gonna have a bit of fun.
Mother Day would be bloody good.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, So if you want to leave a comment, let
us know what you think they should cover or what song.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Absolutely, the Red Hot Chili Peppers do anything. Not sure
if you've seen them live, but they take requests and
all sorts. So yeah, make sure you get your tickets
and you get your requestion because they will absolutely go
for it. Luke over the last week while you were
in Sydney. Actually, Dan, I'm going to ask you mate,
how the how was the nervous system with another one
of Luke's blessed bits and best bits, not quite getting
(09:22):
the wind but getting us the blessed money with cheddarhoo
Chee running top three.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
To be honest, it was heart. It was a heart.
It wasn't an easy watch.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
There was all sorts going on up the straight and
I was thinking, oh god, it's going to get beaten. No, no,
it's going to get home, it's going to get beaten.
It was an emotional rollercoaster down the street. It didn't
need to be, but bye god. It was good to
see us get paid again. Fantas all from seven the
blessed bit. Yeah, not bad.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
What were you saying to me this morning? If you
put one hundred bucks on, you've won eight hundred and
forty dollars back.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
If you put one hundred dollars on every week, I've
got one hundred and thirty dollars profit profit profit. That's
bloody good.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Eh. Yeah, shit, it's going well decent chadoh hoot, she
was outstanding.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Luke the Hooch. Yeah, it must have been a genuine
heavy track, because, like I said, I thought that if
it was a heavy track, then it was going to
be tough to beat Mustang Valley. And I think another
telltale sign earlier in the day, horse called My Ugly
Sister had won and I'm pretty sure that loves a
heavy track, which sort of signaled to me maybe we
(10:22):
are going around on a bit of a heavy track
here and then for Mustang Valley to win, because I
think Mustang Valley's only won one from eight on a
soft track and most of those winds have been on
a heavy track. But yeah, probably like a little bit
too heavy for the Hooch, but still held on for
third luckily. Just but obviously you couldn't get the blessed
bit In Australia and the Pundes club was about to close,
(10:43):
so I got on the mic and I was like, guys,
this is my best bet backing is yelling this week
and get up to that Australian platform over there, have
a bit on that and maybe smoking the hooches as
long as you wanted tonight or tomorrow at the game.
And yeah, that failed to win. They're like, oh the
blue horse. I'm like, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
A horse. It was trying really hard for third place,
so each way, I say, each way.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah, So then I had top up the punters club
up myself. But anyway, now, good to see it get
home and Snazzy Tavy the week before, and I feel
like we've got a nice little blessed bit. Well, I know,
a man, it's very excited about a blease bit later
on tonight too.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
He is fired up. Ted has got the blessed bit
for us this week. We will get to it later
on the show. It may or may not be in
the liver mole, so I'm sure you can probably take
a hint from that when we do run through it.
But yeah, Ted is very very excited about this horse
going around. You mentioned Snazzy Tavy there, Luke Rackman, that
was your best bit two weeks ago. You've got first
seatler last weekend as well, so you are. You're on
(11:38):
a bit of a roll now, made after being slightly
concerned after the first two or three weeks, you're into it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
It was a little bit rough, mate, and I'm starting
to warm up a little bit, and I'm getting so
warm that I'm going a little bit loose this week,
I'm throwing a thirteen dollars shot. Watch out here we go.
But yeah, our first settle was a really good tough win.
I thought that had to really work hard. I got
knocked around a little bit out of the gates and
got back a sort of yeah. It got back probably
further than it wanted to, and then it was probably
(12:03):
in the place where it didn't want to be. I
was speaking to Maddie punta Q actually asking him. I'm like,
I've got a bit of cash in the account here,
like I can really unload on this, and he goes,
I think you should watch the first couple of races
because that rail might be off. And then luckily the
first couple of races they were winning up the rail.
I was like, all right, so I just unloaded and shit,
(12:24):
it was like it was a tight finish.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Did you have a multi with it? I did.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
It'll be malted into something else now as well, and
futures surely.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
No, no no.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
I had multis finishing on it, and I had a
big big bed on it to win good yeah, mate,
you deserve it.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
And it was all downhill from there.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Boys.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
That's where my account got to its peak.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
You're not the only one, mate. It was a bit
of a struggle later on the day and on Saturday,
but good on your mate. You're on a roll now,
so we'll get to your best bit a little bit
later on. Just to recap as well. The goat was
bloody unlucky with that riskue ruler. I don't know where
he finds these horses from, but he does bloody good
at finding them. But that thing just had no chance whatsoever.
And I think Ted's put it into the Black Book
(13:02):
this week, isn't he.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yep?
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Absolutely yeah, looking forward to going through some of those
Black Book runners later as well.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Absolutely. The harness lads last week didn't didn't go too well,
but the week before that they went pretty well too.
And speaking of the harness lads, honest to god, it's
so hard to judge. It's just great that we've got
the scam Man and Gaso in this competition. But when
you've got sorry in this community, but when you've got
somebody like Gaso who's winning a punters club in method
and turning six hundred dollars into six and a half
(13:29):
thousand dollars, no wonder when he puts a bed out
odds just absolutely crumble a like, what a weapon?
Speaker 2 (13:36):
What a weapon? Get him to the King of the punt.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah something, there'll be something going on with Harnes and
there she'll be some grass good on you guests. So
that's fantastic. And I see the scam Man has stood
on the total ROI stats as well, so the harness
is going good too.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Den.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, scam Man's killing it. He was really consistent last
year as well. He was really good at finding winners.
It's going to be interesting to see how this table
changes over the next couple of weeks, because I think
there's going to be a few movements. Actually was Kimmy's
thirteen point six units of profit? Who needs yeah fucking
ten eight point five to five and then scam Man
(14:13):
four point one six bit of work to do for
the rest of the lads. It's a long season, really,
profit that's up here. It's a long season, and anything
can happen.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
I feel like, because you've created this table, Luke's really
got himself dialed and the season actually knows that it's
out there for everyone to see. They're a bit of
a competitiveness competitive that. I absolutely love it. And yeah,
obviously Fitzier and Markam are going to get on the board.
It's a very very long season. They're hunting. Well, we'll
find some. But there's a note here, mate about two
picks of the yards from Kimmy's at Saturday on Ramwork.
(14:43):
But before that, the pack of the yard for the
band at Ramwork that I saw that you were filming
at one point. Who was playing?
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Was that band?
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yeah? Yeah, you know how they have It was like
near the end of the day.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
I think there was a band playing after you picked the.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Up y Yeah, yeah, there was a there's a live
you know round what you go show after? Who was that?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah? I think they're just warming it up for Everest
in a couple of weekends time.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
You so justting, okay, what were your picture of the yard?
Speaker 2 (15:09):
So I thought, well, why not go, you know, old
school from we had the great grass view and we're
going pretty average on the punders club, so I thought, well,
let's go out there and actually let's find the winner
from the yard for the ipsom And I legit like
didn't even know who was who, And I spotted Sea
Wolf was like, holy shit, look at the size of that,
like just looked outstanding and came back in and was like, oh, okay, right,
(15:31):
let's let's have it go. So the guy had actually
tipped it in the room from the twenty percent side,
which was good. I had a little side bit in
the personal account, and then we had I think we
might have had nine hundred and something or maybe like
one thousand and something left to finish off the last race,
so we gave the guy who won another bit, and
then we went back out to the yard to figure out, right,
who are we going And basically it was Ostraka, which
(15:54):
ended up winning, and then puntoke you liked it as well, Josh,
it was over there with me. He liked it. So
we decided chip and and everyone got him behind it.
It was a I can't remember what the other horse is,
called a gray horse, but that was maybe going for
four in a row, and it was taking a bit
of money as well, but we decided to go against that.
And yeah, the whole room up and about screaming at home,
and yeah, I might have to get my eye again
(16:16):
at some local race dand and see if I can
pick them from the yard.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Fantastic scenes got the iPhone fifty mate, it's got a
super zoom unbelievable zoom on it is that Yeah, yeah,
so you can really zoom in on them and have
a good look.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
It was good content.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Like as soon as he took that video earlier in
the day of where they were in the mountain, I
was like, mate, you've got to give us a couple
of pickets of the yard.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah. Yeah, I'd been lazy. I'd kind of forgotten about it,
but you'd message me. I'm like, oh shit, okay, right out,
let's do it.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
I saw udio after State of America got mentioned on
your post as well. Ten dollars? Was that?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Did you post that before the race? One posted it before,
so that was big Tony. Tony tipped out a ten
dollar winner. Yeah, just casually in the background he was like,
oh fuck off. Yeah, and then it's like, oh, State
of America and then State of America one someone told
us that, and then the messages started coming in. Yeah,
how good that guy said State of America. So the
(17:07):
punters are just tuning in, like listen to you going right,
I'm going to have a go, And there's a couple
of bitslips floating around.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
If someone says something you just don't know, I really
wish I'd seen that before a race. One speak has
to follow the BGP socials. It certainly does. Speaking of
having a good time in a room, the King of
the Punt lads, we're going to be having a good
time in a room next weekend is coming up. I've
I just watched your video Dan of yourself and the
(17:36):
goat running through the King of the Punt competition and
all that kind of stuff, and it was very very intuitive,
very easy to understand it and.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Think, do you want to summarize it for us?
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Absolutely? Put it. Bring one hundred dollars along, make sure
your account's cleared, make sure you don't do any malties.
Is that enough?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
No, you need a minimum amount of turnover by one
race on the day.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
So what he meant by MALTI is like, if you
have one hundred dollars multi, that's only worth one hundred
dollars worth of turnover. So you know, like if you
had one hundred dollars better on a horse one to
two hundred and forty, and then you put that two
hundred and forty dollars in the next horse, then that's
actually three hundred and forty dollars worth a turnover.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Yeah, so are you allowed it in Maltese or not?
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, you are.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
You just have to do a certain amount of turnover
by a certain time when.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
They get to get to base camp an hour before
the Everest, I believe.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
So what's the space camp going to be all about?
Speaker 2 (18:27):
So that'll weed out some of the people who haven't
done enough turnover and then you can't re enter after
that time as well. Okay, so then you left with
the final punters who are ready to scale Everest to
knock the bastard off and there will only be one winner.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
All right, Well, summarize, we've got one hundred and forty
people coming along to get involved.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Don't we hopefully more? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Absolutely? Next ticket sales. Ticket sales are still still going,
so make sure you have a look and you get involved.
We've also got Cup Week coming up as well, Luke,
and Cup Week's going to be the Punters Club is
going to be open as soon as.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
There, right, Yeah, heard from the Dogs today. They've got
thirty they've got thirty tickets sold to that so far.
So people are getting a nice and nearly I suppose
it's only actually a month away. That's quite scary. Jeeves.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
I've just clicked Yeah. Yeah, you've got a stag doo
in between. You've got the keg of the punts in between, fly.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
On Wet album cup. Oh my, okay, we need to
find some people, some winners. But yeah, so dogs about
thirty for that. I don't know what the harness is at.
But we're hoping that the Punters Club will be opened
soon as well. So we've got a nice little building
into that now. It will be a lot different to
get into the Punters Club this year. There will be
a new way where you'll be able to join the
BGP community via the tab and then that will have
(19:46):
a pot inside it, and then you will put your
money into the pot, and then eventually the pot will close.
That will be the closing balance, and then we'll start
having bets and then those will feed into the community
area inside the tab app so that you can see
the bets. It will be a very different experience to
what you were used to. Can we have bets before
the pop closes? The first question I had for them, Hey, listen, lady,
(20:10):
do you remember the sports called Cool? Do you know
about him? I'm just throwing out, like joking things like
so if we had fifty thousand on like a twenty
one dollars ship. Yeah, that's it's because ladies in Australia
many lovely person Yeah, that's that's possible. Great, we're gonna
need that, Marilone.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Matt Scott. That'll be on the Wednesday when.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
I should say nothing what hey? Yeah, man them dive.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Into it for the Punters Club anyway.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Bring it on. But yeah, so that'll hopefully be read
on Wednesday. Okay, load up, sorry, you're lad up. Hopefully
that'll be really soon. And then the Punters Club runs
Thursday through to the Saturday, and.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
The Kracka millions tickets are available. Are they open? We're live?
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, three hundred tickets gone. Oh wowty so those are available.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
That's so good.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Chili Pepper is available, they're all gone.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
We double book them.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
And of course the Red Hot Chilies are going to
be there singing your cover songs. So I think from
memory we might have updated the app to include the
link in there for the Punders Club, so I'll just
chick sorry for the Karaka millions, but if not, we
need to do that. But yes, the tickets are available
for those people who would like to come along.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Plenty going on over the next few months, and as
Dan sort of teased before, we'll be somewhere for the
Melbourne Cup in November as well, spending an afternoon hopefully
bringing a live podcast and having a few beers somewhere
around Auckland to enjoy it. Are we allowed to talk
about that yet, Dan, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
And it's locked Alad. We're definitely going to be there.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Whether or not we do the podcast from there is
another story all together. But we're going to be at
the Full Time Sports Bar in Kingsland. That's the new
Warriors slash as TB type bar that they've got going
on there.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
The screens I've not actually been there. You've been there before,
Kimmy's a I went there. The screens are unreal and
honestly I walked in and these folks were looking at
me and then I think they're like, oh, BGP, here
you go, lads. Is this horse going to win? I'm like, ah, yeah,
it's Ted's best bet. And the next thing, bloke comes
back with a pretty big sized white f boss card
(22:10):
which is a T A B receipt and he had
lumped a fear bit of coin on Ted's bit.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
It was.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Like middle of the week the MIONI Bell was it. No,
it wasn't that week. It was the week where it
didn't come in, so I had to sit next to them.
I was like, ah, now get this fucking takeaway.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Is Big John Bush gonna be there with us or blush?
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yeah? I've like, I've seen him.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
You've seen him before?
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yeah, yeah, I've seen him before, but only because I
was like, what is going on here? But he's just
a big bloke that orders like Chinese and orders like
twenty five different meals for a Chinese dinner.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
And do you know, madam, I know, I'm yeah, I've
seen a lot of his content. He just absolutely canes
it from his local plays and his son, His son
freaking started him a techtalk and it us went berserk
and it's the X in the accent is so good
and he just crushes food.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Son's a boxer. Yeah, he's at like the fifth best
heavyweight in England or something like.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
That, which is a real real conundrum.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
This guy's belly is g enormous. He's going to be
at the racers on Labor weekend. Hey, he's going to
bet He's going to be at the racers. On Labor weekend.
If any of our young community out there love Big
John Bosch, get to the races Labor weekend. I can't
believe this guy. I absolutely love it. TikTok superstar. What's
your favorite Chinese meal? Sweetness our pork, It's got to be.
I actually had Chinese on Sunday. It was great tongue.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Jesus name, great Joe tongue. I'm a chicken and cash
nut kind of guy. That sounds like Thai.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah, that does sound like Thaie. No, they have like
a chicken and charmaine with cash nuts.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Oh yeah, yes, ah, no, not sure, don't touch it.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Not often.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You want a tie guy. You look at Big John
Time meals Thattters get along. See Big John at the
Elosie Racers in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Time favor. I like duck though, I've really enjoyed a
bit of duck fucking hiking.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Duck is just a bus to say when they put
that on Buffy.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Wouldn't you just love to go to the tab winning
post with a serving duck?
Speaker 6 (24:17):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Look that Saturday at Rickington. We're all pretty dusty and
coming to the end of weku. Hopefully they've got duck
on the buffeto. I'll be looking forward to that, absolutely,
love it. Right, keep your comments coming in, people, we
want to know who your best better is this weekend
and who's going to win the liver Mole before we
do get into that quickly, Just to recap on the
last couple of weeks again Lands, because we've obviously been away,
but there has been some important racing going on and
(24:38):
the Hawks Bay Guineas are two wednesdays ago now at
Taapa uh Sea. Sorry much to matter. Wasn't it savagely
taking that out? But the story of the race probably
was captured by Love missing the start by about fifty
four legs an absolutely frying home for a second. What's
happened there?
Speaker 1 (24:59):
I don't think I've seen and I don't remember the
last time I've seen a run like that with a
horse that was just absolutely powering home so aggressively over
that last one hundred.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
I was like, who.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I didn't even notice her the first time I was
watching the race because I was too busy focusing on
Savage Savage Lee to try and just get the job done.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
I didn't even see that. When I went back and
watched it, I was like what's going on here?
Speaker 1 (25:21):
That is crazy? Like, surely if it got away with him,
it would have just kicked their heads in. I'm glad
it didn't, but that's the feeling that I got.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah, it was pretty good. I was exactly the same.
I was like leaning into my screen trying to figure
out if savig Lee was going to win. And then yeah,
noticed it in the replay. I think as well was
the chat that it was sort of held back at
the barriers. They were still holding on to it and
had a hand. Oh okay, so it would have been
it would have been a scratching. But because it ran
in the top four, I think the rules are that
(25:49):
once it runs into the top four, I'm sure one
of this dude punt is out there. We'll let us know.
But it finishes effectively in that four, then they have
to leave it in. Otherwise it would have been late scratched.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I think the goat men should that straight away, didn't
he You said the wind punters would be passed off
because you would have got a refund.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Something else he mentioned was that one bold cat was
not working very well and that Bell's fate was going
to win. Say, there's a different day but we haven't
been back on since Thenyow.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Fate towered it up at the track work or something anyway,
winning the bloody sixteen hundred meters beat Skoo with another
futures bit goes by the wayside.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
We were having some voice messages on the way home
after that day. Was I was just so I was
so pissed off with punting that day that one bowld
cat won it. Like the horse isn't even set for
that race and it was smoked them. So no wonder
its favorite this Saturday. But yeah, it was like.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
For a horse that's not even there to win, I
feel like one more ROUGHI you might have been done
with racing for a season. Ah yeah, maybe not only
for a couple of days, matey.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Just were just need some favorites to win, just get
a favorite, hope.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Yeah, don't you worry, man, We've got a couple of
weekend We'll get it. Didn't race win.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
He's lucid ran really well free widely to stick with it.
Skew Worth was a favorite, I think maybe on the
day and skew Whif looked like it was going to
win with about two hundred meters to go and just
didn't couldn't get the job done.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Big bad one bowld pussy Cat run over the top,
great breeding that horses actually have to that other horse
Swiss Kitty. They forgot Swiss Kitty.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Yeah, hey just on the whull hawks bag gu and
he's super photon Do he drop it?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I am wondering what the hype is.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah, it's just shown nothing, eh, But I do wonder
what was that track that day? It was a good track?
Speaker 2 (27:39):
Was it was it soft?
Speaker 3 (27:41):
It was? It wasn't bad. It was a soft five
or a good four. It was it was you know, yeah,
I think it was.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, I think it was actually yeah, good tramp. But
it didn't. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
I mean, it looks like a kind of horse that
needs a little bit more distance, and it might surprise
people up to sixteen hundred, but it actually might even
be it might need further like it might be one
of these horses that comes in like the Auckland guineas
or Evandale guineas up to the twenty twenty one hundred.
We might go, how do we forget about this horse?
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Good boy, So we might just go, okay, well, let's
put it on the back burner. Now maybe because what's
it out.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Of I don't know, breeding mate, I'll find it.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
We want to help out, but it was just sucking average, like, oh,
I'm going to stick with it. I'm going to stick
with it for this race because I think getting up
to fourteen hundred meters, you know, maybe exactly that logic.
I was watching it like, oh, come on, just at
least run a blasic or something.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Yeah, I mean, who knows, maybe they galled it and
then it comes back.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, it's no fault. It's no fault of anyone. I
think it's just disappointing. You know when you've got a
horse like that, where you just hear all of this
and you're sort of going, yeah, this is racing. Someone
needs to be held accountable. We need someone to blame
his must.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Roll must roll? Where's butch in the comments?
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Not but from from what? Just another but.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Some punish it I do. I just don't. Then I
do crack up and racing with anything goes wrong and
it's like you get Burry the Buddy Baptist Boomers just
out on the keyboard. You know, he's got it out
quicked heads, masked roll, So who the fuck is going
to take the jobs made of all these heads, you're
going to roll off.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
This was after Hawk's Bay, wasn't it.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah Yeah, I mean, look, it's not great what's happened,
But it's like the whole industry just needs to like
have a look at itself and go, especially these older
people that have been in the game for so long.
They've watched the demise of the sport. They've watched it
go bankrupt, and then they just expect that it's some
sort of billion dollar sporting body that's just got all
the spear cash and they can just get everything perfect
(29:35):
every single day. You're talking about wild animals, race tracks,
whether you can't control. But no, Bearry's gonna leat you.
No barrier of the boomer heads mast Roll, who's going
to take the jobs champion?
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Yeah yeah, CEO stands down. Oh yeah, he's never done
anything anyway, he was doing.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Some great stuff.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Like what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (29:54):
It's the industry moves moved.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Watch it come on, bro.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
The niggerivity amongst some of the older people, I just
find it hilarious because they've had the best years of
the sport. Yeah, and then they've watched it kind of
struggle now it's coming back and then it's like, oh,
you know, they're flipping out. So maybe if you guys
punted a bit more, if you invested in some more horses,
have you went along a bit more, et cetera, et cetera,
maybe wouldn't be here.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
But anyway, now you're right, mate, you're right, one hundred
percent spot on. It is a real I mean, we
all do sitting here feel for Hawks Bay Racing because
we're going to get into that of this Saturday. And
it's a real shame that it's not down in Hawks
Bay because Hawks Bay has been such a great carnival
for the last however many years it's been going, and
that was a really unfortunate incident. Who knows why or
what happened, but yeah, you know, at least they're still
(30:40):
going to try and put on a day for the
people down there, and of you know, whoever was going
down there or whoever's locals, like, good on you guys.
I hope you hope everyone has a good day down there,
because it's yeah, it's really good and hopefully we see
it back there next year.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
It's a shame because it's actually big for the community
as well. Be at Hawk's Bay. You know, it's really
well supported in the community to get in behind it,
and it's there the day that they really want to
rip into and I've been to a number of those days,
so I'm sure they'll bounce back. But it's just, yeah,
I think we just need a little bit of realism
sometimes in the sport that is probably lacking some of
the resources just through over the years of it sort
(31:14):
of struggling.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Absolutely, all right, let's rip into it. Lad's Tarapa Race seven,
which is the spring Sprint, And honestly on Saturday, there
are some old favorites that are going to come up,
but the top of the book here, Dan is an
old favorite. In Habana, there's a few going around in
the Cambridge stud colors this weekend and Habata could be
(31:36):
one that could win this at pretty decent odds. But firstly,
what are we going to be racing on, Dan, Because
you're the closest person to Hamilton from Luke myself yourself.
How's the paddocks out there, mate?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Yeah, they're wet, but I think it's going to be okay.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I mean it's really it's going to really depend on
these next two days. So tomorrow the forecast is saying
that there's going to be about three meals of rain,
but that's likely that could be nothing. If it ends
up being no rain tomorrow and then no rain on Saturday,
we could get back to a soft seven. It's a
heavy eight at the moment. It'll be outstanding if we
managed to get back to a seven. A seven, because
(32:16):
there's a horse later on in the day that I
would like to see kick their heads in on a
soft seven. But like if I was a betting man,
I'd say it's gonna be a heavy eight because there's
gonna be enough rain to just keep the moisture in.
But hopefully it warms up on Saturday enough that maybe
by the time we get to the back end of
the card, the track improves and we end up on
a soft seven.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Yeah. Yeah, soft seven. It toed up is pretty good too,
so that would be good. Yes, who's gonna win the
Spring Sprint? Dan, This is a really interesting race.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
I'm gonna go for a couple so one down a
little bit further. Horse called Blissful Bell has reasonable second upstats.
It's had three starts for a second and two thirds,
so it goes all right. The distance it's had fifteen
starts for two wins, five seconds and four thirds. Heavy
(33:04):
as no go it's had one start, no wins, but
soft that's had eight starts for three seconds and a third.
So I'm willing to maybe have a little bit of
a go, but I'm just gonna see what happens. Sammy
Spratt's been riding out of his skin over the last
sort of sex to twelve months, so deor twelve. I
think Blissful Bell is up there wits end. I think
really needs a good track, and I think that the
(33:26):
price maybe is a little bit false on that one.
The only other one that I think I would probably
have a bed on in this race is further down
the book and it's geriatrics. So Masahashasumi up I heard
from I don't know if it was Lance Sullivan or
Andrew Scott on one of the one of the shows earlier.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Maybe it was not the leg up. What's the other
one to form?
Speaker 1 (33:50):
And his interview was just talking about how this horse
was sort of like a little bit wooden legged. I
don't really know what that means, but he said it's
bouncing around out of its skin at the moment he
thinks it's expects it to perform better. This horse second
up as one for one, and I think that you know,
when this horse is right, it's actually really good.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Yeah, and you've just got to find it on the day.
And when you find it on data.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Remember it was that book Akoi that it It won
really impressively and then it went over to Australia in
one as well, didn't it, and then then run pretty average.
But like when you find it on its day, this
horse is really good and so you get a price
to find out ten dollars and three dollars.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
I'll probably just have a bed on those two horses.
And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Habamlink, Yeah, I don't know,
Like ah, I think he's a miler, so yeah, that's
probably what puts me off. However, I got a feeling
that like, if the track's too weird, they might pull
(34:48):
it's in out. Now, if they pull that out, then
it really changes the complexion. That's the word of this race.
That's a word.
Speaker 3 (34:59):
That's the word mate. Yeah, intelligent man, you know that,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
And then the five point fifty around Habana starts to
look pretty sexy. But I do think from all of
the analysis I've done of Google weather that it looks
like will be on a soft track, you reckon, yeah,
but if it's heavy, I've got a feeling that might
go you know what, Nah, not for us, and they'll
they'll pull wits End out. But Habana can get through
the heavy and has won four from nine on the
(35:25):
soft as well. Now it has won at this distance,
but I don't know about it at this sort of
this if you've got to try and beat like the
likes of wits End, if you're getting a better track,
but I think at the mile third up, that's probably
our go. But look, I've still had something because I'm
going to fall back on. Actually, who's the best horse
(35:47):
in this field and the arts is probably Habana, right,
proven best horse.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Potentially WIT's End, but it's proven Habana.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Yeah. But and if we're having an off track then hey,
maybe not and it could trip it up. But it
has performed WIT's End on a soft time. But I
did see that Witzend ended up out the fours, back
into three point seven, back out three point eight. The
other horse that I think is a bit of an
up and comer and is in the Black Book as
a horse called it Navigator. Now this horse has actually
one four from ten. It'll get through a heavy track,
(36:15):
it'll get through a soft track as well. But is
it Is it up to this? I don't know. But anyway,
I am not sold on Habana, but I just feel
like pulling this field apart the more I look at it.
I've got to just go back to basics of potentially
it's just the best horse, and if it wins, I'll
go how did I miss that? But I really like
(36:37):
Habana a bit further up fifteen one hundred meters sixteen
hundred meters.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
It's had three starts second up for two wins in
a second. Yeah, so the two dollars twenty for a
place looks yes, sexy.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
And yeah what's the top four?
Speaker 3 (36:49):
I think it was, and it's two from well it's
one on its dollar track. Top two runs first and
a second on a heavy track. Cops it Rudyard always
runs top three again, like needs good track.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah you'd think so. It just seems to be like
one of those horses. And also distance for this one,
I think it's no good And there's sixteen hundred hello Rodyard.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Yeah, if it's a real heavy track, say it's heavy
eight heavy nine what's the smoky.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Oh you are sick for it?
Speaker 3 (37:19):
Well, it could be like that, right, and there's probably
three or four in there that could potentially win it
at it, you know. If it did get too heavy,
I'll take dusty road. It's been tense best a couple
of weeks, isn't it over the winter? A couple of
times over the winter and that yeah, one two over
the winter. It'll be one of those roads a Opie
Boston's on.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Bradman, Oh oh yeah, okay, I'll take electric time.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
Yeah. That went well behind Mustang Valley last week, didn't
it really good finish? I think start start Before that,
it was in a.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Good draw on the car park, just where you want
to be on a really heavy track.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Exactly, you go mate, nice lads. I hadn't worked it
out yet, but i'd really I love, I really like
Blissful Bell. I think that's going to win a good
race at some point this season. So if the track's
going to be good enough, I'm going to have a
crack at it at the odds and just going to
hope for that. If the track is not good enough, yeah,
I thought Bradman maybe have a go out these.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
What's tricky, you know, is these not knowing what the
track's going to be just really takes the confidence out
of a punt's ability to be like, I like this one.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
It's hard a yeah, and also on a daylight this
I feel like, with such big fields and with such
good odds, you might as well try and find something
out of the ordinary or that's paying long odds, because
there's going to be a shitload of them that come
in even top four. There's going to be something that
are going to pay three or four dollars. That's probably
gonna happen in the liver Bole. So we'll move on
to the liver Mole and try and find a few
winners in that and a few top four there. This
(38:43):
is absolutely fantastic this race. It's turned out we've got
one bold cat versus the rest according to some not
according to the form. Everyone's on Campianessa from the form,
But is the track going to be good enough for Campianessa,
Snazzy Tavvy our favorite drawn eighteen, it's got the away draw,
it lives fucking ten minutes away, but they've given it
the awage or absolutely disrespectful The rac man reckons. What
(39:04):
do you reckonly?
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Oh for sure? I mean she doesn't know. I gave
her a quick call. She doesn't maybe she's drawn.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
She's in the race, she's a chance and got Warren
Kennedy what they call him the Wizard.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
He'll wave as well, get as wanned out and get
it in the right direction, get this horse on. But yeah,
I mean, I'm looking forward to seeing how this horse goes.
And I think the heavy might be an unknown. She
been on a heavy I think the soft might be
the go, but I feel like she'd probably get through it.
She's got through four from six on a soft track,
So t have a stock at a ritzy lady. Don't
(39:36):
you worry about that? Very eighteen. But I was a
little bit underwhelmed by Pearl of our Sace last start.
But it was probably never going to be the grand final, right,
But third up and has one third up and two
from two on a heavy track, four from five on
a soft track. Yeah, that could just well be the
(39:57):
forgotten horse. Pearl of our Sace now third up. But yeah,
there's it's it's a pretty interesting filing. You got likes
a JBG. Who's in there?
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Heavy?
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Yeah, I mean if it's heavy for shell Kelly myso
will be good to see them pick up a group one.
Even a horse like Dionysis playing sixteens in our third
up actually wasn't too bad. It's no good first up,
it's no good second up, but it was only five
linths off of Snazy Tavy, but she put a gap
on them and now third up it goes a lot better.
But the wit track's probably going to be the concern
(40:29):
for that. So yeah, I I think if you like
something rough, especially with the likes of Campionissa doesn't handle
a really heavy track but goes right on a soft track,
then you can probably find something you're happy to have
a play with. But I'm sure you lads might cover
off a couple of those others that are that are
favored by the punters out there. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Well, I've got a small ticket on one bowl Cat
from Futures from Ted a few weeks ago, which I'm
happy with, and I think he's a horse that can
definitely win it on form one really well the error field.
I think there's there's not really much more to say
about that, but his runs have been great this time
back and I think he's a really good chance of
winning it, Stancy Tavy, I've got a much bigger ticket
(41:10):
on him.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
This is the one. I fuck it. I love this
horse like I don't think I've ever actually passionately loved
the horse as much as I love this one. Like
that's so good. I fucking love this horse.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
It's so good. That's what it gets you excited about
horse racing.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
When I was at Tarapa when she won, as maybe's
been a couple of weeks ago, so I ran down
near the bird cage, was like trying to have a
look it up.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
She fucking looks good, doesn't she.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
Yeah, give him a number, mate, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
And I remember Waza jumped off and looked at Lancea goes,
oh that's much better. Yeah, she's fucking good, like she's
real good. And I was like, oh, here we go,
come on, fire me up now. If there's a really
heavy track, just as a caveat one that I'm going
to throw and and I will have a bed on
if it gets really heavy, is heyo saspam nine dollars
fifty it's heavy tracks, that's are outrageous heavy tracks. Three wins,
(42:04):
three seconds and a third. This horse loves heavy tracks,
hasn't gone good to the track hasn't been over the distance,
but I don't know if you've seen it this season,
like it won really well fresh up and then didn't
go to a good last start.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
But that was a good four.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
And so you get this whole on a heavy track.
It's like a little bit like Mustang Valley, how you know.
You get that horse on a heavy track and it
adds a couple of links. So that's probably my one ruffy.
I've already got my tickets on this race. I don't
need a bet anymore. But yeah heyo sas bom. If
it gets really heavy, I'll just have a little each
way go on. That night, it was fifty for a place.
Thanks for coming.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
I love your passionate about Snazzy Tavvy mate, that it's
so explosive. That finish was so explosive you can't not
take notice of that. And geez, if the conditions are
right and it gets the right run, hard to be beaten.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Mate. We're gonna be the Northcote Tavern, and yes we'll
blow the roof off that thing comes down the outside.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Yeah, I'd probably be kicked out. I'll be going, oh yeah, actually,
ste so I give you guys to FaceTime me to
watch the race and we'll watch it together. Yeah. I
love it.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Yeah, I really like that. Definitely, Luke, we will do that.
What about did anyone catch the run of Lightning Jack
and the Arrowfield stud Plate. I know, Luke, you said
before the show it's hard to follow, but it wasn't
hard to follow that run. That was exceptional. Yeah it
was pretty big, but leave me out of it, okay.
(43:32):
El Vincidoor, I had a crack at that at the
Arrowfield stud Plate and I was afterwards. I was filthy.
I was like, what's going on there? And then I
heard all the you know, I think it was probably
Stephen Hunt saying, oh, and they've gone out too hard.
You know, you can forgive that.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
But Stephen Hunter said they've gone out too hard. You
can forgive that horse. It was the fastest six hundred
of the day, including all the twelve hundred meter.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Ros well, so it should be. It's a fucking group one.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
It should have done it should have kept going and
kicked their head. Yeah, would have filled my pockets.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Do you drop it?
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (44:02):
Were you and Alvin Stor as well?
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (44:04):
You were a big way mold time anyhope, maybe maybe, Okay,
I can't work it out between one Bowl Cat well,
actually no, I think one Bowl Cat's got the advantage
with the weather coming in and the drawer. I think
there's a definite advantage there. Really wants Snazzy Tavy to win,
but I want one bowld Cat for Ted to win
because Ted has been on this for a very very
(44:25):
long time and anyone that all listen, he's been telling
get on that horse, and he bloody absolutely loves it.
But I feel like, yeah, I don't really know where
to go here. I don't really know what's going to
happen in the condition. So I'm going to go a
same race Malti. I'm going to top four one Bowl Cat,
al Vincador and Snazzy Tevy. I'm gonna leave Campianessa out
of it, just thinking that the track's probably going to
be a little bit too wet for it and it
may not even run. Who knows early on in its
(44:46):
campaign that's paying forteen dollars, I think if al Vinstador
gets to the front, it could be hard to hard
to chase down if it you know, well, isn't the
fastest race of the first six hundred beaters this week,
you know who knows, but yeah, forty dollars for me,
that's pretty good money. And then there's probably going to
be something else that comes into the top four there
at some ridiculous odds.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Rolls, you know, we're like, oh, how do we leave
out the Aussie runner? We'll just kept it one the
other day would probably be near on favorite for this
right but because it got beat, that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
A And there's probably like Rolls and Pearl of ol Sace,
probably two of a few horses that have actually been
set for this race. So they're bringing Rolls over to
win this race. Pearl of Our Saces, they're probably been
sitting it for this one. Bowl Cat they've obviously been
sitting it for this. The rest of them you never know. Yeah,
oh Stanci Tevy have been sitting for this race.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Yeah, it up and down, but I'm going to conce myself.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Yeah, bloody intriguing.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
Pretty Hey, it's good to be excited about a Group
one racing is Zealand, Isn't it like there's many chances here?
Speaker 3 (45:43):
It's yeah, I just wish we knew what was happening
with the track. It would make it so much easier
a you know, with the weather.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
Talking about tracks, what's happening on Sunday?
Speaker 3 (45:50):
Yeah, Lubron's going to win the Swainey Steaks, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Wow? Nice? Actually even't had a look, but was that
a group two or a group three or what is
a group three?
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Ye? You're on white tax.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
Yeah body last one this last year.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
Navigator is normal for this as well, So for both days,
I don't know which one is going to come out
of Lubra.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
On eight fifty Beauty.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
That's good money, isn't it that?
Speaker 1 (46:15):
I thought that was a great win last time wide
the trip at that first up, Oh yeah, and that
was amazing. That sort of got my role going that
that sort of like turned my day around. So I'll
probably back Lubra on again before you three grand mold
think and be wet and road This is the thing.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
If it's a soft seven at Tarapa on Saturday, it's
going to be a heavy twelve at on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Yeah, I think road rules.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
There's a bit more rain forecast down there, so yeah,
whye Tach I think is probably my.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Bet in this race, assuming you dragon leap.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
Yeah, thanks Wexford, have we got there was no olds
out for this race when I looked last night that
it's out.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Now.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
If this horse does me like Dragon Leap, this will
be getting retired to Wexford as well.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Sure we'll get a few hugs, mate, They do love it, right,
shall we should?
Speaker 3 (47:00):
We get some best bets and live them ole winners
from the community. They've been sitting patiently and letting us
know what's going on.
Speaker 6 (47:07):
Yeah, a few one here we have.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Dan's off to the bathroom.
Speaker 6 (47:12):
That's what's going on on screen, so we'll just shout
that out. Thanks Dan. Caleb is on in topare on Friday,
Race nine, the Sky Above riches all in on the
BGP favorite of Snazzy Tavy. Yes, he's one from Jack,
which is actually a good Now I've actually fully read it.
(47:32):
Best bet goat to win the Punter of the Year
one of forty five seems a bit rough considering that
ROI we heard earlier as well. He misses out in
front there.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
But this is it Tadapa on Saturday. The Punter of
the Year thing, isn't it. Oh yeah, there's a separate
Punch of the Year. Ed wouldn't know about that, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
I think the goat might be entering the Punter of
the Year, which is a different component of the group. Yeap,
hopefully he'll go right. I think he might be hosting it,
so he probably can't be winning it. He'll find a way.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
Good luck either way, Goat.
Speaker 6 (48:00):
We've got Mark here Eddington Race nine tact McLeod Leonard
is basically just enjoying the chat leads.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
So thank you Leonard.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
We have man absolutely legend he said grand dad in there.
Speaker 3 (48:16):
Yeah, mate, he is just the man we need his
knowledge on this. On this panel.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
We have im on here saying Thunderfest Race one at Ashburton.
We have Matt Hill, who's Coullyfield Race eight. He's on evaporate.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Can we follow Matt Hill's tims for a few weeks
please and just understand whether or not.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
Yeah, so Matt Hills tipped Collifield.
Speaker 6 (48:38):
What what race Race eight at Caulifield and then he
has a second one at Coullyfield as well. Race nine
balatrix Star at seven dollars fifty go for three for three.
Darren's here on teed Upper Race one Kiwi Skyhawk.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Gross anyone get us a cover us all.
Speaker 6 (49:00):
As I am going down there is heaps comment mate,
there's there's a lot of comments all about horses.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
You must have a.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Cover song Elvis Brisley or something like that.
Speaker 6 (49:10):
Here, I've got a good one for you. We've got
Mark here who is in Morano, Italy. Good to tune
in but can't punt on the tab.
Speaker 2 (49:18):
Oh used to care, mate, So you need to sing
your roaming sittings on a Dallian. Well you want to do, mate,
turning your roaming sittings on. Make sure you've got your
data back hearing is you text the word by roaming
to one five eight. That should get you two gigs
of data. You'd be able to watch about twelve races
live stream in them all and bit responsibly and problem solved.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
And you'll come back and you have a threaten for
filler bill thirty bucks a day, oh thirty dollars for
the two gigs.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
Okay, yeah, but no songs yet.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
We've got even down here.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
We get Joel's going Bonnie last Ones again and Jack
walking around it off at teed up a race two,
perfect Man's and last One who just literally popped out
of the same cash cash burden. Race seven Vivacious from
Quintin as well.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Oh, that was in the first in the Black Book,
wasn't it he was? I didn't even spot there going around.
I've got a couple from Cash Burdens to make sure
that you remind me to tip them out.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
Yeah, there's a few there from Cash Burden. Ah. We're
probably going to need to just promote that we've got
the red Hot Chili Peppers coming and we need some
song choices a bit a little bit more so we
get some people in the comments. Maybe that can be
the question next week. But thank you very much everybody
for your best bets as always, Lend it is great
to hear that you're out there, mate. We'll see you
next week. King of the Punt, no doubt he's one
of the favorites for King the Punt. Let's keep track
(50:31):
of what Maddie Hill bets on as well, dan As
where's the Vacious?
Speaker 1 (50:36):
It's Ray seven, Cash Burton at number thirteen, and am
I in it's number fourteen?
Speaker 2 (50:41):
Oh is the corn hour if I did it running
as well? Yes, in the last of the Day, I
believe vous.
Speaker 4 (50:47):
Okay, third up now it's only one one six dollars
fifty Yeah, okay, I'll actually yeah, just a couple from
down there now.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Race number four, lippy right.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
I love how these horses just keep popping up.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Seventh up perfect twenty two hundred meters, getting twelve dollars,
taking a couple off with apprentice riding Race six Miss
Laylor nine dollars on the odd surge and race nine
if I did it nine fifty on the odd surge
(51:29):
free to row ten bucks. Yeah, last time that was?
Speaker 1 (51:34):
That was outstanding. Gay god, I love that horse. I
hated it on Cup week bat like man, I.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Can't believe it's won a couple now's yeah.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
Ran top four Cup week that found finished off my BGPAGP.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah, top four.
Speaker 3 (51:49):
It was outstanding. Do we want to get to some
black Bookers, Dan, or shall we skip past us to
anything else that you like this weekend?
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Mate?
Speaker 3 (51:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (51:57):
I think we maybe skipped We've got yeah, let's sip
like Bookers on the Monday recap. Yep, yeah, anything else
you like, Dan, I've got a few. Yeah, good, And
I went to the bathroom because that was real struggle
to get through, not just necessarily horses, but I've got
a few bits that I like as well.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
So the corefield guineas is hard to find a little
bit of value with broadsiding paying a dollar fifty. But
there's another horse that I know the trainers have and
I think it's from the Hayes Bar and have a
big opinion on which is called Evaporate. So you get
broadsiding to win and evaporate top three for four dollars
sixty or broadsiding to win and evaporate top four for
three dollars thirty. I think that's a bet. I think
(52:35):
it's a moral and I'm into that. And that's the
core Field Guineas Race eight at Collifield. And then the
other one I thought that was a good bet was
Corfield Race nine Mornington Glory top two, so that was
the Mule Steaks winner, and then Balatrick Star top four.
You get four dollars fifty. I thought that was an
(52:57):
outstanding bet. I'm gonna get on that as well. The
reason I took morning and Glory top two is I
think like this is a chance Beller Trick Scart Star
could be really good.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
It might just bowl over the top of them.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
But the fact that you're getting four dollars fifty for
that top two and top four, I thought was outstanding money.
The other one I thought was really good value was
another Will and Orchestral, both to run top three five
dollars fifty.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
I love how you spent the week end so the
day home of the kids pricing up the same race Maultis.
I love it now.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
I put them in bed last night and I went
through and I was like, okay, cool, how am I
going to find some horses. The other one that I
think is a really good bet this weekend, I think
this horse is a moral Rosell race eight Alan Brown Steaks, Gringotts.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
Oh what's that paying?
Speaker 1 (53:38):
It's five dollars in the four dollars twenty. I reckon
this horse might start two dollars eighty or three dollars.
I think it's going to get back then. It was
huge last start. It was quite unlucky because it didn't
get out late, and it got out late about fifty
or seventy five minutes.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
And boomed home and just miss, just miss, just missed.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
I'm gonna have to listen back on this to catch
up with those multis and bets.
Speaker 1 (53:59):
Yeah, Gringox was a black booker from both myself and Ted.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Yeah, a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
Yeah, Ted text today saying, you know, remind everybody that
Another Will, Jimmy Starr, Gringotts are all running on Saturday.
And he didn't really tip them out, but he just said,
wouldn't it be nice to see them all winning? But
I think aren't man the same race some of them?
Speaker 1 (54:18):
No so no, no so Another Will, Jimmy Starr, and
Greenots are all in separate races. Okay, yep, right, but
Another Will and Orchestra were in the same race, Yeah, okay,
or Keshtra's got an outstanding second up record.
Speaker 3 (54:32):
Good man, Dan, there's plenty of same race multi I'll
definitely look back and get on those. Ted likes something
at Topeboard tomorrow as well that he wanted to put
out there. There's a first starter at top Or tomorrow
and keen on race four. Prossey Gur black booked following
two very nice quiet trials unplaced behind Kitty Flash at
Turapa in August, and Kitty Flash has one since the
latter trial was the second at rot when blocked down
(54:54):
the straight and after crossing hills to get to the
adda ran on nicely. Hopefully a Friday fell up Race four.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
You say it was a horse called pussy Gear once.
I think it was to Bell or something I hope
for you or advantage. Maybe this is different way. This
is Prossy gear. Oh, Pussa Gear, I think it might
have been. So this is pross gear and Pussa Gear.
All the cats coming out this weekend in to Spain.
I don't even know what these people are talking about.
Speaker 3 (55:22):
Who bloody knows to race six tomorrow like yellow lads
scaring up over twenty six hundred meters coming back from
a hurdling track.
Speaker 2 (55:31):
Yeah, yeah, yea.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
I put it in my black book a couple of
weeks ago after it ran over some distances that looked
pretty good top Race six, yollowt.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
I like it, mate, right.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
A few others running in Australia this week before. We
just finish off with the blessed Bits as well, Dan Marajan,
And you're right about Wolfgeg Dan wants to make it
better on Wolfgegluke.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
I need to apologize because I see that horse is
no good second up. You can lay that that's false
favorite and it's just killed them. Yeah, apology, Yeah it
might be. It might be good. And they've changed the
name actually, it's not Wolfgang.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
It's a wolf Master Wolfgang or something over there, or
mister Wolfgang or something like that over there, So look
out for that because I got lost on it today.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
I thought it was scratched. But they've just changed your
name on me.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
But you wanted to have a bet on Marajhanna at
the ods, didn't you.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
I like forty.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
So the fact that he's paying forty dollars and Wolfgang's
paying nine dollars fifty makes no sense to me. You're
getting nine dollars fifty for a place on Marajan. What's
the distance twenty four hundred?
Speaker 2 (56:34):
So I think no.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
I know, you know Mara John's going for the cup.
They're looking for thirty two hundred, but he's been going
good races over here, and I think the step up
to twenty four hundred. I just nine dollars fifty. I
had it in my multi on the weekend before I
got scratched because of the wet track. But I think
they're looking for a better track. I just I'm going
to have a bed on him each way, like just
straight out each way, because I.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
Think he might. He might. He's a pretty good horse.
I thought it was called marh Rajan. I can't keep up.
What's that Mexican pussy gear? I don't know, no mate,
that needs a good track. It must be a good horse.
It wont an Auck can cut, but Ocean Billy won
cup fuck that.
Speaker 3 (57:13):
In the Melbourn cap a n last, I think I
was devastating Bill Pomarte. Yeah that was. I hope Marajan
goes well and I'll follow you into that forty two
and nine dollars A look that just seems sensible, doesn't it.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Yeah. I haven't had a look at all, so I
probably can't add too much there. But I like the
what's it? Passion and patriotism for the ki runners.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
Dan rack has got patriotism over in Australia, you really do.
And you always find them and you know, you always
back them so the win you fight up.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
And for whatever reason, like you seem to get ten
dollars most of the time for them, because they just
pop up and they're like, oh shit, this fucking horse
actually is pretty good.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
Another one that might pop up at ten dollars that
everybody knows about is orchareshral and Corfield. Why is that
paying ten dollars. Is that what I saw?
Speaker 1 (57:59):
Yes, yeah, nine dollars fifty But there's a finding was
the same last week or two weeks ago as well.
It popped up and won really impressively, carrying fifty nine.
Speaker 2 (58:05):
Kire loves.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
I mean, hold on, what race? Is it? Okay?
Speaker 2 (58:10):
Same race? You raised tenise ten?
Speaker 3 (58:13):
So this is a group? What? This is a group one? Oh?
Another will's in the race?
Speaker 2 (58:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (58:17):
Right?
Speaker 2 (58:17):
Another will? Jordan Loki? You know, are you fight up
about Orchestral? I haven't had a look at the field,
to be honest, but that that run was It's probably
just a run the other day there at l right,
But she have to be on her a game to
pick up a group one over there. But she's good.
She's probably good.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
I know it's eight o'clock and we need to get
out of here, so we're going to get to the
best bits. But I do want to ask one question
about or Cheschel. I was really surprised with the level
of scrutiny that the horse had after its first run.
There was fucking comments coming from left right in the
center about this horse. It's like, why why is everyone
really scrutinizing this horse? In particular? We know it's outstanding,
but there was a lot of scrutiny pass.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
Put any horse on a pedestal, right, and then you
just expect that they can to continue to win. I
think that's what made Wink so special, as that she
did keep winning. But I think the punters, you know,
we get excited about a horse and then just expect that, right,
they should just turn up and win. But only horses
like Snazy Tavy.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
You know, it's the key we It's honestly, it's just
the key we way. It sucks, but it's the key
WE way. Yeah, regardless of horse sports person, business personality,
whoever it is, Like, put them up on a pedalstal
they do really well.
Speaker 2 (59:29):
So yeah yeah, also awesome they mess up, Oh you
suck your ship? Better tell you? Yeah, you know you
may be pissed off yourself, you know, so I'll just
let you know seeing your message.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
Yeah, Roger James was like, oh, I was just really
happy with the run and everyone might just be a
past mark.
Speaker 2 (59:46):
Yeah, he's in a stute trainer. Like they know what
they're doing, they know they're looking after the horse. So yeah,
they like we said, I think the other week they'll
be popping off a target and yeah, I wouldn't be
surprised to see them do it. And sometimes all it
takes is another world get stuck back or something like
that and doesn't get a run, and all of a
sudden it's like, oh this shit, how did it? Orchestral
pay nine dollars fifty. So that's the beauty of horse racing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
The fact that they've like you know, gone second up,
like they've said all seasons, she's been really negly and
hard to get her back and back to where she is,
the fact that they've like gone cool, She's had her
first up run, She's obviously clearly improved out of site
and goten like really good. The fact that they've put
her on a flight and taken her over there after
saying they're going to have a really light spring with
her tells me like they're really a street trainer. Is
(01:00:31):
that she's on track and I'll be having a crack
at her. I'll be still having that bet like I
said before that same race multi, but I'll be having
a crack on her straight up as well.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
What's another will pay two ninety okay?
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Is it Lightnings at six fifty as well?
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
It's nine to fifty into six dollars fifty it is
Orchestral No does it Lightning nine fifty, so there's a
bit of money for that. I must love a horse
running off the front tab. It's pretty impressive. It's really impressive,
like it's been legato, so they'll probably like know a
little bit of their form too.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Good luck or Kischel and everybody else that's having a
crack at your same race multi as well. I do
hope that or Kieschel just keeps on winning and Roger
James just gets it right again as he does so
many times, and Robert Well would of course, but yeah,
Roger James needs to be fronting those interviews and things,
so good on you, mate. I love it. I love
the confidence and getting him behind it. So let's all
get him behind the Kiwi's this Saturday over in Australia
(01:01:21):
seven forty five. We would have had about fourteen million
beers by then, all three of us, so I'm sure
there'll be some voice notes going around about how good
the horses. Right, let's get into the best pets.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
All right, where are we kicking off? I'm going to
kick off actually with the Harness Lands and I'm going to
kick off with scan Man because I also love this horse, Warlock.
I've lost loads of money over his eighty three races
over the years at Alexander Park, but it slides into
a very nice race for room on Friday Night. The
scam Man tells us been racing consistently now for a
long period of time, including a very good road for
(01:01:58):
second last week in a field which I think was
deep than what he meets Friday Night. Good each way,
I hope Warlock. Honestly, it's it's an absolute battle horse.
It's going to be great Addington race for Warlock. Markham's
best bet. He's Addington Meeting eight, Race number twelve. The
Big Lebowski Indied Cup nominated pacer facing a massive drop
back in class from his mount recent assignments, which have
(01:02:19):
included the Spring Cup and the Homes DG in Auckland
behind Sooner the Better and Merlin.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Oh we love Merlin. Big improving runs in both of
these and over twenty six hundred meters here should be
able to roll up onto the speed at the right
time and tough it out for the victory. So that's
the Big Lebowski.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
How good and Gasso off the back of his win
down South in the Punter of the Year challenge at
Motu Carrara.
Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
Was it or methan? Methin methan, He's gone.
Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
Addington Race number seven, Cold Chisel a class act that
has gone two slashing races after spelling. Last start, ran
second behind Merlin after coming from a long way back
and running over the top of Sooner the better.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
Very good run.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
Main danger is fresh up, so the Chisel maybe the
fit of horse. The drawers are slight concern, but this
horse has the ability to overcome. I agree with gas.
I think there's a great bet called Chisel.
Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
Get on right, oh, Fitzi's best bet is Addington Race eight.
I'm Sandady. All of these harness races are for Friday
night as well. I'm Sandad Race eight for Fittsy. Great
run last start after doing a lot of work, setting
three wide the whole way and stuck on gamely for
fourth second. Favorite has a tricky barrier draw to work
with good trainer drive a combo. She gets a good draw,
should get the boys paid. Fitsy reckons and Dan, what
(01:03:33):
do you reckon about that?
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
Mate?
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Because we've boosted it Top two from one dollar ninety
out of two dollars fifty and the Harness Halo.
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
We have made it the Harness Halo, and look the
Harness Halo and just you know, clearing the slate here.
We've had a bit of a rough start to the season.
It's a long season, so there's a lot of racing
to go. We were really confident in this horse and
thought this horse was a winner, but we've taken it
for the top two, and we've got a really good
price one point nine out a two point five for
top two. Just in case is another one, and I
(01:04:00):
think that Tim William's got a bit of opinion on
this one. But I think we've got the drawers time
and I think we're gonna win this one. But we've
taken the top two for security. So I'm Sandra D.
Top to a dollar ninety out of two point five.
I think that's really good shopping.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
Yeah. I saw a video from FITZI earlier. He has
called this one triple h the horny Harness Halo because
he is that worked up about it. So I'm Sandra D.
I'm sure we'll be getting the job done on Friday nights.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
You thoroughbred punters you might as well get a little
bit of money on those harness bets on Friday night
and definitely get on the harness halo too. I'm sure
it will come through right. Oh, all the lads best
bets on Saturday for the thoroughbreds. So I'll kick us
off to Rapa race four. I'm going for frost Fair,
a big open field here. There's a couple of horses
(01:04:46):
in here I also really really like. But I feel
like this horse has been a little bit unlucky and
it's two starts this campaign. It was three wide the
trip at Tarapa last start over the same distance the
start before that over eleven hundred meters, got held up
a little bit at Kaka. Looks this horse has a
little bit about it. Warren Kennedy on board. It's had
a couple of runs, so I think it might be
able to get over the top of a couple of
those that are fresh up and looking very good, and
(01:05:08):
a couple of those might even come out if the
track doesn't stay well. So today ip a race for
frost Fair at pretty good odds.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Dan.
Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Yeah, and I'm going to just the race before you.
Race three, Lama Squeea. There's a black book run a
couple of weeks ago at Allesley and it went over
the twenty two hundred and fourth up in its first
preparation for a second in a rating sixty five. Last start,
this horse came from well back in the field to
hit the line hard, suggesting that third up and stepping
(01:05:38):
up to the two thousand will suit it perfectly. It
is up and class up to the rating seventy five,
but I think it's got a really lightweight, Matt cart
wrote on board, and I think we get a good
price to find out how good this horse is.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Thirteen dollars and four dollars a place. We'll kick the
day off nice and early and you can suit yourself
and race number one because it's a bonus back race.
And I think we're going to go back to the
well because we tip this as a best bet early
on as well. So Ryan Elliott won that day and
the horse that it bet was a horse called Mike
A Bell which has come out and won. And then
(01:06:11):
last start this horse bet Kiwi Skyhawk, which is actually
favorite for the race on Saturday. So again I think
this suit yourself might be the forgotten horse in the field.
It is five dollars five point fifty and two dollars.
It can cop a wet track as well, so I
think with a bit more race to experience, it's going
for a hat trick at Tadapa as well. I think
(01:06:32):
that's a good way to kick the day off. Suit yourself,
nice mate, double down, you are an absolute fie.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
I'm going to move forward to the Goat's Best and
come back to one of you two who wants to
do the blessed bet and Ted's Best. You guys can
choose between yourselves. The Goat is keeping his power to
drive for Toadarpa for the Punter of the Year comp,
so he's going out to ash Burden where he has
had success. Cash Burden we call it Race five Lombardi
a good second last start behind Green Luck who's in
the liver mole. It was a tidy field and a
nice run and an open handicap. Gets a drop back
(01:06:58):
in class here and is good each way value. Follow
the Goat into cash Burn and Race five Lombardy Right, Oh,
Ted's Best.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
Ted's Best bet. He is fat up for this one.
He wrung me. I was just getting out of the
sauna last night. I Billy had a tower around me,
and he wanted to tell me about one bold cat
meeting to race in them at night at Tedarpa. After
spooking him a while ago. I'll have to go of
one bowl cat and the liver themole five dollars fifteen
two dollars twenty quality galloper who has won eight of eighteen,
has been set for this as an early season target
(01:07:27):
and the winner the arrowfield at Mutta Mutter and the
lead up was just a bonus, just a bonus getting
a group one. No bloody boggie, I'd love to break
rating sixty five. Company stable and owners having a great
trot at present and track conditions won't follow, won't worry
this fellow, Ted says, go Harry, which is the stable
name of this horse. Now we've actually made this the
blessed bet of the weekend as well. So we've taken
(01:07:50):
this horse to run in the top three, which is
two dollars seventy two dollars twenty out to two dollars seventy.
I believe so the book he's maybe running a little
bit skin you only giving us that sort of fifty
cents extra for a max bit of one hundred dollars
gamble responsibly, of course if you are having a play.
But one bold cat Ted thinks that this job, this
horse can get the job done.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Ted's become very emotionally involved in this run this weekend,
isn't he Yeah? I would say that, Yeah, and financially involved.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Probably he'll be. It'll be after that track work. How
can they be? How can they be? Harry? I can't
beat Harry. It's a raw family.
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
Be partying with Robbie Patterson on the weekend. If that
comes home to good on your tear. Good luck with that, mate,
Thank you very much. Slaves, we've run real overtime. But
look you're off to a stag dude tomorrow morning after.
You probably didn't want this podcast overrun. Yeah, my love
is still recovering from the weekend and we'll be right,
be good time, and we'll be back into it because
it's the King of the Punt next next Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Really back to back to back. You're really, you're really
pounding reminder.
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
You need a rest for cup week mate, really really
looking forward to the next weekend day the King of
the Punt. Make sure you get your tickets, Dan, looking
forward to the weekend, mate, we're gonna have a punt
together on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Mat your birthday. I'm looking forward to.
Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
It absolutely, rip into it. Hopefully we can win a
little bit more than we did last weekend, although we
went well here or there. But yeah, it should be
a bloody good day the Northcote tam it. If anyone's around,
feel free to drop in and say Gooday. Of course
it is a pub, it's a public environment. You're more
than welcome.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Yeah, MAT's got the whole place booked out, but you
can come in. What day does your bthday? Yes, Saturday?
Saturday birthday falls on a Saturday, A group one as well.
Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
It's all inclusive, isn't it, Northcote Ropper Horny all inclusive,
all your beers and all your food.
Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
Yeah, it's like a BGP event.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
That's outstanding of them you cam Rogers.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Fuck absolutely looking forward to it, Adam, as always, thank
you so much for your time, mate, Thank you everybody
for tuning in tonight. Good luck. If you're having a crack,
like Luke said, gamble responsibly. As always, We really do
encourage you to only bet what you can afford to,
but make sure you enjoy yourself. Thanks very much, as
always lads, have a great weekend everybody. Thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
Joan set and match shut that are going to do
it again.
Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
The Kanaka moscons with and stays with my.
Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
Bro Dells. I have one run, but here's the
Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Cold now he's coming.
