Hi there, and welcome. This is the Calming Anxiety Podcast.
Simply ten minutes of gentle guided daily meditation just for you,
a moment of time out to soothe, the song, a
new way of thinking. Subscribe now and take back control

over your world. Now, find your quiet place, somewhere comfy
where you can sit or lie down, whichever you prefer,
somewhere you won't be disturbed for a while, and then
simply closure eye so that with your beautiful mind you

can expand your awareness to connect now, to feel, to
appreciate the sensations in and around your chest of every breath,
to the exclusion of all other thoughts. But even if

you become distracted random thoughts, day dreams, sounds drifting in
from the outside world, acknowledge these moments. They're perfectly natural,
and once they've passed, simply bring your focus back once

more to the beautiful rhythm of each and every breath
following your breathing, the rhythm, the rise and fall of
every moment, feeling your chest expand being aware of how

it rises, the sensations within the air passing through your

the doubts, the negative thought, becoming aware, maybe your shoulders

drifting downwards, and that beautiful feeling of deep, deep relaxation,

As you start to exhale softly, simply repeat within your
mind at one word, relax, Visualize it in your imagination.
I wonder what color you see those five simple letters,

over and over, outbreath after outbreath, relax seeing the word,
repeating the word, feeling the effect of every outbreath, bringing
a deeper sense of calm and control to all that

you are. Relax now deeper and deeper and deeper, so
that within the beauty of your own imagination, you can
now repeat these powerful positive words of permanent change again

(04:47):
on every exhale, seeing them feeling them, repeating them with
true intent, with complete conviction. So relax, exhale, visualize, and repeat.

I am surrounded by a gentle loving energy. I am
surrounded by a gentle loving energy. I am surrounded by

a gentle loving energy. I am surrounded by a gentle
loving energy. Still deeper and deeper and deeper, you allow

your thoughts to drift. A beautiful feeling of of understanding
flows through every soult, through every interaction and decision, giving
you back the power over your destiny, over who you are.

So once more, on every outbrea, imagine, believe, and repeat.

natural trance like state. Relax, exhale, unwind, and take back control,

surrounded by a gentle loving energy. Further and further down

with every repetition and now just connect once more in
this wonderful state of being with every feeling in your chest.
Feel the power of relaxation as you exhale, understanding that

when challenged, when negativity and panic or fear raise their
heads in future, you can steady your breathing, exhale and
take back control because, simply put, you are worthy. So

(09:02):
feel your breathing, relax connect with all that you are,
and set yourself free. Now take a deep, deep intake
of breath, and time to reorientate your mind your focus

(09:22):
to the infinite beauty of the world around you. When
you open your heart and eyes. Take another deep breath,
now filling your lungs to the very very top once more.
And now time to stretch out those muscles in your
arms and legs and open your eye and smile and
go on, give yourself a pat on the back. More so,

(09:47):
if you're going through difficult dark times, don't give up.
And as I say, life isn't always fair. And right now,
as I record the show, I've visited an old school
friend of mine from way back in the day and

(10:07):
his life is sadly being cut short by cancer. I'm
going to spend a few days here making memories supporting
him and his wife, who is also his childhood sweetheart.
They've built a beautiful life, but he said the last
time I came up, just make memories for other people.

(10:29):
So if you can make someone's day, even with just
a smile, take care, my friend. Let's reconnect tomorrow as
always positive thoughts when you can, But in everything, especially
to yourself, be kind.
