Welcome 10 Minute Guided Meditation to Stop Overthinking and Healing Anxiety, the Mental
(00:09):
Stream. Welcome to the calming anxiety podcast. You're here for a guided meditation to stop
overthinking and I want you to know how proud I am that you showed up for yourself today.
This thinking is just energy, it's not who you are, so settle in now, finding a quiet
(00:36):
comfortable position and let's turn that racing energy into quiet, mindful relaxation.
Gently close your eyes and bring your awareness to the slow, steady current of your breath.
(00:57):
Feel it flowing in and feel it flowing out. We are using the breath as your anchor to this
present moment. It's the only thing that is truly real right now. So I invite you to
(01:20):
make a quiet intention to slow your breath, allowing your out breath to be long and soft.
Inhale peace, exhale effort. Notice the physical feeling of releasing the heaviness of overthinking.
(01:47):
Allow your shoulders to soften, maybe they drop, the muscles around your jaw, they soften
and unwind. Let your body confirm that for the next few minutes you can simply rest.
(02:09):
For a full two minutes now, I will simply hold this space for you as you breathe. Feel the
sense of gentle freedom that comes from not being in control of the future but being
fully present in this moment.

This is your practice of detaching from the noise. You are learning to cure overthinking
(05:18):
by not engaging with it. You are simply the kind observer.
Let's use some positive and uplifting thoughts to support this piece. Repeat or visualize
after me silently in your beautiful mind. I am here and I am enough.
(05:55):
I let go of the need to control. I choose peace over worry.
(06:17):
Every time you repeat them, I wonder what color you see the words, the letters in your
mind's eye, but once spoken, I wonder if you could imagine the echo of these words
drifting down deep into your soul. So once more, I am here and I am enough.
(06:56):
I let go of the need to control. I choose peace over worry.
(07:16):
I choose peace over worry.
(07:45):
I continue this soft, peaceful breathing, feeling the warmth and kindness you have created
inside you. This stillness is always available in times of need wherever you are, whenever
you need. You can bring your mind back to being centered and grounded, simply focusing
(08:14):
on the in and the outrath. Relax now. Honoring yourself with this gift of time to heal anxiety,
to stop overthinking. As we bring this meditation to a close, remember, you didn't do anything
(08:41):
to earn this calm. You simply allowed it. You deserve this deep self-car, an anxiety relief
for all that you are. Gently bring your awareness back to the sounds of the room and the
world around you. Wiggle your fingers and toes and when you are truly ready, softly open your
(09:10):
eyes. Carry this moment of peace with you today. Thank you for showing up for your mental
health and wellbeing. I'm Martin, clinical hypnotherapist, creator of calming anxiety.
