It is December 27th. This is a strange day; it feels like limbo. The adrenaline of the big day has vanished, but the world is already trying to claw its way back in with sales alerts, friends wanting to meet up, or family asking about leftovers.

There is a pressure to be productive today—to go out and grab a bargain or make the most of your time off. Stop. Take a deep breath and push all of that away.

In today's 10-minute session, we are practicing JOMO: The Joy of Missing Out. This is your official permission slip to be unavailable, unproductive, and to hibernate.

In this guided meditation, you will learn to:
  • Mute the Chaos: Use a mental "remote control" to silence the swirling vortex of high street noise and demand, turning the busy world to grey until it dissolves.

  • Release the Guilt: Acknowledge the feeling that you "should" be doing something and gently tell it: "Not today".

  • Enter the Hibernation Cave: Visualize a safe, warm space—perhaps a cabin deep in the snowy forest or a room with soundproof walls—where time has stopped.

  • Internalize New Affirmations: Repeat deeply healing statements like, "My peace is more important than their expectations" and "I am enough just as I am, doing absolutely nothing".
Rest is not laziness; it is preservation. You are protecting your peace and allowing your nervous system to come down from the high alert of the holidays.

Today, it's December 27th, the joy of missing out, permission to hibernate and recharge
your social battery.
This is a strange day.
It feels like a limbo, the adrenaline of the big day has vanished, but the world is already

trying to claw its way back in.
Your inbox is likely full of sales alerts.
Your phone might be buzzing with friends wanting to meet up, or family, asking about leftovers.
There is a pressure to be productive to make the most of the time off, or to go out and

grab a bargain.
But now take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, I want you to push all of that away.
Today, we are practicing Jomo, the joy of missing out.

To find a comfortable position, you do not need to sit up straight today.
You can curl up, you can pull a blanket over your head.
This session is your permission slip, permission to be unavailable, permission to be unproductive,

permission to hibernate.
Close your eyes, and imagine the outside world for a moment.
Picture the busy high streets, the traffic, the queues, the loud music in the shops, the

frantic energy of people rushing to buy things they just do not need.
It is a swirling vortex of noise and demand.
It's chaos.
Now imagine you have a remote control in your hand.

Ask the mute button, the noise instantly cuts out, the image of the busy world fades to
grey, and then dissolves completely.
You are not missing out on anything, you are opting out of the chaos.

(02:54):
Notice is there any guilt in your stomach?
A guilt that says you should be doing something.
Ignore that guilt, and then gently tell it, not today.
Today, my only job is to recharge.

My social battery is flat, and the only way to charge it is to unplug from the mains.
Imagine that bustling shopping centre once more, but this time you are on the outside,

looking down, drifting upwards towards the clouds, the noise of the turmoil fades to
a quiet hush.
The people turn to dots, the world becomes calm, and your thoughts, the monologue within

your beautiful mind, finds harmony, finds balance once more.
Fill in yourself with this precious gift of time, and feel your internal batteries, recharging,

filling up, filling with ambition, with excitement, with the desire to become home once more.
Relax, unwind, and love all that you are.

I want you now to visualize a safe, warm place.
Maybe it's a beautiful cabin in the snow, buried deep in the forest where no phone signals
can reach.
Maybe it's a cave lined with soft furs and lit by a warm, glowing fire, or maybe it is

simply your own bedroom, but the walls are thick and soundproof.
Imagine stepping into this space.
It is quiet here, the air is still.
Smells of comfort, perhaps vanilla or wood smoke or fresh linen.

Outside the wind might be howling, the world might be rushing, but in here time has stopped.
You wrap yourself in the warmth, feel a heavy, comforting weight of doing nothing.

This is not laziness.
This is preservation.
You are protecting your peace.
You are allowing your nervous system to come down from the higher alert of the holidays.

Sink deeper into the cushions, deeper into the mattress.
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Wrap yourself up in self-worth and love.

In every smile, every moment of laughter you have ever had, place them around you, like
mementos, anchors of positivity and love all that you are.

Relax in this moment of peace.
Stay in this hibernation state.
Listen to the rhythm of your own breathing.
It is slow, it is steady, it is yours.

You do not have to share your energy with anyone today.
You do not have to smile for anyone.
You do not have to make conversation.
Repeat these affirmations silently to yourself.

I am allowed to rest.
My peace is more important than their expectations.
I am enough just as I am doing absolutely nothing.

The world will still be there tomorrow.
Enjoy the silence.
Enjoy the solitude.

Now relax my friend.
