Speaker 1 (00:13):

you will be through the meet and Greek. But other
than that, every ticket comes with meet and greet and
that's why we know this. We'll sell out on the

(01:38):
twenty third, So stop what you're doing, head to challenge
Maniacs dot com right now and sign up. All right,
you didn't come for me, You came for D. Last
week they came for D. Well, I guess D came
for himself a little bit, and no longer is he
on the show, but he is here with us breaking
down this episode for free on the main feed for
about twenty five minutes and exclusively to Maniac level patents

(01:59):
at above over a challengemaniacs dot com. Jason, how are
you yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Derek is Derek is not here.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Jason from private to thirteens here, Derek is dead.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Derek died last week on episode twelve.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Of the of the Challenge punch you in your Face,
I think it was it was called And the only
one that really got punched in the face was Derek.
And then he ended up drowning in a in a cold,
icy pool of water where he was.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Just left there.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
His body, his guts are just there in Chili, and yeah,
Derek's not here, Jason is here to take his place.
Halloween is right around the corner. I'll be asking who
the hell you are in just the second. But I
want to, I want to. I want to bring out
old Faithful. I don't know if you guys know who
Lucille is, but this, my friends, is not a toy.

(02:54):
This is not a toy. As you can see the
fine print there. And Lucille comes out to play every Halloween.
And I am unpackaging her live on Challengeing You podcast
Patreon because you can only see the video on Patreon.
But here she is being unveiled, brought out all her bloody,

(03:17):
beautiful gore, just like that elimination was for all you
Derek hators. Oh the fresh fake blood is back, and uh.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
That's enough of Yeah, I was gonna say that with
Derek's funeral.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
For those who might just be listening, they would be
wondering why you kind of sounded like bane there a
little bit uh for those of you guys watching and
video is an exclusive perk at challengemaniacs dot com. One
of the great reasons to sign up at our Patreon.
Derek had a Jason mask on till about five seconds ago,
so you should be coming through a little clearer now.
But as he said, Jason is gone. Here He's got

(04:00):
his Lucille bat which is of course from Nagan from
Walking Dead, and you are, in fact the Walking Dead.
You were killed on the show last week, but here
you are walking with us today, Lucille in hand. Happy
Halloween to everybody. Although it is Wednesday, October twenty second
here I don't know about in West Virginia, d but
here in New York, Halloween is like the whole month.

(04:22):
So last Saturday was my daughter's Halloween party at her school.
This Saturday is my son's at his school. We've got
our neighborhood party next Tuesday. Then of course Halloween itself,
I believe is next Thursday or Friday. So it's like
it's a whole thing here. Damn. So I decided to
throw on the costume. Now you, in fact have no idea.
I don't look familiar to you at all. And again,

(04:43):
for those of you guys listening, I apologize. Maybe you'll
see a clip of this on social media or so.
But for those of you guys who are hatte maniac
dot com, your hat day so back after another? Yes,
so yeah, so this is at double on Tandra because now, I,
of course am not wearing this sol for Challenge Mania,
but to put it in a challenge context, this week

(05:03):
was another battle for THEO and for Adrian. They've been
going in one battle after another on the Challenge THEO.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Are you trying to be THEO for Halloween?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
No? So it's interesting, How it's interesting? How so this
the words one battle after another mean nothing to you.
You've never heard those words in any order whatsoever in
the last few months.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Just kind of like my life is kind of typical
to everyday life man, one battle after then after the other.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
No, it's a movie. It's a movie. I am dressed
up as a character from that movie Bob played by
Leonardo DiCaprio, who I always used to say you remind
me of and you actually him in this movie. There's
a couple of shots of him that really remind me
of of late era Derek as well, but this is him.
He's wearing this for the majority of the movie. It's
the bathrobe. I got this on Poshmark and then I

(05:55):
and then I bought these sunglasses and hat on eBay.
These were like giveaways, I think at the movie premiere.
So it says the movie title One Battle after Another
on there. It also says it on the sunglass on
the side. So for anyone who doesn't know what I am,
they can read that and hopefully know, oh, yeah, it
must be from that movie. But for the third category
of people that have just never even heard of the movie,

(06:15):
I guess it will need that pre m.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
What's it called again? What's it called again?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
One Battle after Another? I trusted a large segment of
our audience has at least heard of it, if not
seen it.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Oh okay, got it.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Yeah, So the movie is called One Battle after Another.
I am Leonardo DiCaprio from that movie. I expect. This
happened to me last year at our son's Halloween party
at school, where because I dressed up as John Travolta
from Pulp fiction. But I wasn't wearing like a suit
like the classic pulp fiction. Look. I was wearing like
the shirt he wears after they get all the blood

(06:48):
on them and they have to change. So he's wearing
like a UC Santa Cruz shirt some blue shorts. So
I'm wearing that to the Halloween party. And like one
out of every five dads knew who I was and
was like, oh, that's the best costume I've seen. And
then like no one else knew, and obviously none of
the kids know that's probably what's gonna happen with this one.
But hey, that's what I like to do with my
costumes at this stage in my life. Uh. And then

(07:09):
for those of you who are clamoring for me to
do the the you know, shave everything but the mustache,
I don't think I'm gonna do that. I think I'm
gonna I'm gonna keep the beard.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
But yeah, So back to the Halloween, like all month
in New York, I wish it was like the whole
month here. I mean, I've had my I've had my
Halloween decorations out on the front lawn for a while.
I got this like huge pumpkinhead it's awesome. Then this
year we got these like dancing uh dancing ghosts. Whenever
the wind blows, they fucking dance and sing and it's, uh,

(07:39):
I think, a nice little addition to the to the
front yard. Then we have this big dog that we
got at a garage sale, big skeleton dog. Actually, I
think just someone was just selling it in the group,
getting rid of all their ship. Anyway, I've been celebrating
for the month. I'm happy that you got. You guys
get to celebrate for the month, but really for us here,
it doesn't start until next week. I mean, Halloween is
on uh Friday, so you know you can celebrate on

(08:03):
I would imagine Friday and Saturday is trick or treat. No.
I think it's that there's so many different Friday's trigger
treating for our neighborhood, and so.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
That's that's Halloween. It's Halloween on Friday. Yeah. Yeah, So
I think Halloween on Halloween itself is when a lot
of people like to do the going from door to
door trigger treating. But then I think anyone who wants
to have like a gathering or a party wants to
have it on a day where like no one else
is having anything, so like once.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Had past weekend, they had it this past weekend.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Yeah, so there you go. So there are there are festivities.
You mentioned decorations. I am jealous of you, of course,
who live in a house and can have decorations. Uh,
lindsay always nix is the idea of getting decorations because
then we'd have to store them for the other, you know,
eleven and a half months of the year. But every
time I walk into a Target and all the cool
stuff they sell just gets cooler and cooler every year
of like the you know, made out of foam core

(08:55):
whatever goblins or ghouls or whatever. And I wish we
could do that for you know, all holidays. I'm very
jealous of people who can decorate. I enjoy being festive,
but when you live in an apartment, it is not
the smartest thing to do. But anyway, we digress. Happy
Halloween to everybody we mentioned at the beginning of the podcast.
I'm just gonna say it one more time because I
know those people listening on the main feed and you

(09:15):
may have not heard or seen me plug this to
death over the last ten days or so since we
announced it. Baltimore, Maryland Jimmy's Seafood CT Tamborello. There's only
about two hundred tickets for this. It will sell out.
The good news is though every ticket comes with the
ability to meet everyone, including CT, so by that token,
it's the most people we've ever really allowed for meet

(09:37):
and greet. Normally, when we even have a show where
we have four hundred people watching the show, we cut
the meat greet off at about one hundred and thirty
hundred forty people, so more people will get to meet it. However,
it's gonna sell out. Okay, So October twenty third, Challengemaniacs
dot com Savage level patrons get a crack at ten
than Diesel level patrons at eleven. I've already emailed anyone
who reached out from Raleigh, who was there, who reached out,

(09:59):
who said, hey, I want to can I come to that.
I already gave them the opportunity to buy tickets. They
should be good to go. So so just telling you
guys now because I foresee next week, maybe even Friday,
reading a ton of comments. How did I not know
this was a thing. If you are listening to this
and you know any challenge Mania actually live in Baltimore
or the DMV area in general, whether it's DC Virginia.

(10:19):
Maybe people want to drive down from Philly. Let them know.
October twenty third is your only chance probably to get
tickets for January thirty first with CT Jody, Derek and
Moore at Jimmy's Seafood and let them know they should
get those tickets. In fact, if you really want to
be a good Samaritan, if you really want to be
a good friend, buy them the tickets and then surprise
them for Hanukkah or for Christmas or their birthday or

(10:43):
what have you. Because these are gonna go tomorrow. I'm
just gonna let you know. And yeah, so just want
to throw that out there one more time. Challengemaniacs, dot Com,
Savage Diesel Maniac all patrons and just get what's available.
If there's only one or two tiers left, get what's available.
You'll get to meet everybody. Don't worry. You know, we
do have a couple of from bells and whistles that
come with different ticket tiers, different price points. But everyone

(11:03):
will get to meet everyone. It will go late. We're
starting at seven pm, so it's an evening event. It
is all ages, but proceed with caution, use discretion if
you're bringing a kid. We curse a lot. Derek, you know,
uses the F word as like an um or a like,
So you're gonna hear a few F bombs probably, and
there will be people drinking and stuff, so just so
you know, and you have to be with a parent

(11:24):
or a guardian. Obviously everybody gets carted and things like that,
but just so you know. So that's all the info.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Lots of an amunopeas at challenge, may a lot, Lots
of anom monopeas at challenge, may a lot.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Could I use that correctly?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I don't know about automnipas. There's a lot of on
amount of fuckas and on amount of shit is and
a lot of a lot of that, sou But okay,
let's talk about this episode. I want to get your
perspective on this. So when you're on a season, okay,
and obviously every episode you've watched so far, twelve episodes,
you got to watch. This is stuff you lived. What
are you playing? You playing something? Nope? Keep going, all right,
So the first twelve episodes this is stuff you lived, obviously,

(12:09):
but the first time you're seeing conversations you were in
privy to stuff that happened when you weren't in the room,
and of course everybody's confessionals, which you're not in the
room for. Okay, Then all of a sudden you go
home and now from episode thirteen on, you haven't been
around for any of this. There's a moment at the
beginning of this episode they get back to the house.
They're laughing at and Cedric of course does an impression

(12:30):
of you falling in the water on the bed.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Things like that, lying into the water, flying into the water,
into the bed.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
It was very good, Cedric, very good. Actually, what is.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
It like that first episode? Watching as a spectator, it's
obviously got to be bittersweet. Do you have a little
bit of you know, you know how sometimes they say,
you know and apologies for the analogy here, but like,
you know, if if you lose a limb, you kind
of have a phantom limb, and things like that. The
first episode you're watching where you're not in it, are
you you kind of like forgetting that you're not in

(13:01):
it for a few minutes? Like are you are you
feeling like is that me in the background? Is there
any of that is there any sort of residual. Oh,
I'm there for that, right, wasn't I there for that? Oh? No,
I guess I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
No, absolutely, not not even close. I mean, like if
if you're asking, like if it's a scene that looks
like happened when I was there and now it's there,
you know, I didn't see any of that this episode like.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
That when you're how about this? I'll phrase feel like
this when you're watching the first twelve episodes of this season,
for instance, So when you're watching a season that you
are in, i'd imagine subconsciously you're kind of always waiting
for yourself to maybe walk into frame, and you're kind
of obviously you want to be on the show as
much as possible, right, and you're kind of if you
see something that's in the foreground that you were kind
of there for, you're wondering, oh am I gonna make

(13:46):
it into this? Things like that? Right? Does it take
a while for that to wear off? Or are you like, boom,
fresh start, I'm watching this episode, I know I'm not there.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Move on, Yeah, it's it's over. It's over.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
I'm interested to see, like how these people are now
playing going to play the game without a Derek and
d Uh you know playing the game. So because any
anytime someone a team or in this particular instance, a
team or an Alliance member leaves the game, it affects
the entire game. And you kind of, you know, you

(14:19):
kind of see people scrambling, you know, in different ways.
You see you know, THEO trying to get his way
out of it in a different way. Although it looks
like it's it's gonna be THEO and Adrian from here
on out unless they you know, lose or talk other
unless they win or talk people into coming on their
side and saying, hey, listen, Jereman Aviv are a bigger

(14:42):
threat than Leroy in America or THEO and Adrian. Right
that that's gonna be their game plan now, is like hey,
to all you weaker teams that that are watching Jearremy
and Aviv crush everything in sight even though maybe this
this episode they didn't. But also Turbo and and Sydney
crush everything in sight. Uh, Like those are the two

(15:04):
teams like you want to start, you know, changing people's
minds about right, and we've seen both of their names
come up.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Because if you're gonna take.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
A shot, you know, you know start, you know, when
do you take that shot? Because it's gonna happen because
now they you know, the quote unquote easier team is gone, right,
Like even though Leroy in America made this an incredible
race versus Turbo and Sydney, the potential front runner to

(15:36):
win this whole thing in a final, like, they looked,
you know, extremely weak in a game where you're probably
gonna have to carry something up.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
A mountain somewhere, you know, And.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Uh, don't you let me let me ask you this.
We see this conversation, and I do want to get
back to you who were that You were the topic
of conversation for the first minute a half stepisode. Don't
want to get back to that. But some of you
said stuck out to me, which is the idea of
going after the stronger teams. It feels like other than
you know, THEO, I would, you know, say, THEO and
Adrian are a strong team, that's not necessarily why they're
going for them. I would say, like now you see

(16:10):
you see Jeremy talking to Cedric about who he wants
to run a final with. Yeah, him saying literally out
loud that he wants to run it with Mikayla and Cedric,
and with Turbo and Sydney. And that's just as someone
who's watched forty seasons plus of The Challenge, if you
include spinoffs, the most backwards thinking ever when it comes
to strategy, The idea of like quote unquote, wanting to

(16:30):
run a final with two of the strongest, if not
the strongest, two teams. I was watching the other day
on the elliptical when I was going full throttle, the
final three teams on what was it, Rivals three, and
it's you know, and look, these are no slouches. A
couple of them go on to become Challenge champions, or
at least one of them. Devin and Cheyenne are there,

(16:51):
and Vince and Jenn are there, and then it's Johnny
and Sarah, right, I don't think Johnny and Sarah at
the beginning of the season, we're like, I want to
run the final with the strongest teams, you know. Johnny
was like, I want to ride it, run it with
my cousin, you know what I mean, and Jenna, who
I can probably beat, but wouldn't it be cool if
they came in second? And then these two new newbies

(17:12):
you know Devin and Cheyenne who you know? Coming third,
you're surprised, And obviously Devin goes on to be a
champion and everything. But like obviously, as a viewer, it
does it is a little bit unfulfilling to watch a
very top heavy group of finalists. But that should be
every team's strategy going in, right, Like, yeah, who did
you hypothetically want to run this final with if you

(17:33):
could pick the other three teams?

Speaker 3 (17:35):
All right, Look, so I wasn't giving myself the best
chance at winning this thing. When I looked at the teams,
I said to myself, Okay, shit, the people that I'm
now going to be working with, which is very like
Survivor heavy, like Turbo, like Jeremy, like Mikayla, like Sydney like,

(17:58):
I guess that those are the people I'm kind kind
of now becoming aligned with. And I go, all right,
I guess, look, first things first, I gotta make it there,
So I'm gonna I'm gonna have to make it there
with a group of people and then hope for the best.
And you know that was my goal. Just maybe you're okay, So.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Let me let me ask you this, because that you're
you're you're putting your I think injury into play here,
talking about you're kind of playing with house money at
this point. Making the final would have been a win
for you. Maybe a couple of things break for you
in a good way and you can come in second third,
who knows? Okay, fine, but I'm talking about put put
a healthy Derek's head on your shoulders for this season.
And you think you want to give yourself the best

(18:37):
chance to win, and you you you do think you
could you could beat these a few of these teams,
Like who do you think? Because to me, like obviously
they come in last year, but like a Lee Roy
in America and Anissa and a Jake, like these seem
like the teams that you probably want to to make
sure get to the end. And I'm not hearing these
names thrown out there as people they want to run
a final with. And I know these are former Marines,

(18:58):
so I get that they have a lot of tegrity involved.
But but and honor and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
But what, well, what you're seeing from Cedric is is
an interesting is interesting gameplay because you see him talking
to Jeremy and then also like you see him talking
to Jeremy about uh, you know, Jeremy's talking to him about,
you know, having a handshake with with Turbo and working

(19:23):
with Sydney and then also wanting to run the final
against the best teams.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Like that's very Jordan Like mentality, right, But at.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
The same time, you could see Cedric being like, listen,
like I'm just nodding my head and I'm not giving
any you know, one concrete information, you know, concrete yeses
and nose to him to Jeremy because he knows that
Michaela just injured her ankle on that shady ass fucking

(19:53):
ground they had us running on and that Michayla is
not gonna be able to keep up with in Aviv
or in Olivia or a Sydney.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
So he's like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
But in the back of his head, along with his partner,
is saying, I need to probably get find a way
to get you out of this fucking game, even though
like I like you, I want to work with you.
We should keep working together until we get to that
point in the back of my head, And it's not
even in the back of Michaeli's head anymore. It's out
in the open she's straight up telling Will and and

(20:29):
and Cedric and I forget who else was out there
talking to them, Aviv and jeering me gotta go. For
whatever reason, maybe it's more than just they're a really
good team.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Maybe it's more than that.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
Maybe it's like Aviva is talking to too many people,
Aviv is playing this super social game, and they're all
starting to look at that little alliance that they had
up there, and that room is starting to look at
each other like who's coming after who next? Because Turbo
and Sydney are on the line right now, and Leo
and Ashley are really close to turning? Are are are

(21:04):
are Jeremy and and.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Aviv also close to turning?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Because once you get one team to turn, then the
shift of power is now to the other side, and
you know, being the leaders of the super Alliance are
no more. You guys are now you know the three
that they're looking at like, you know, you know, they
like very easily it can be flipped from Theo and
Anissa and uh and and Olivia as being everyone's like

(21:34):
chopped liver to very easily being flipped the other way
and having two other teams like Sidney and Turbo right
like they're looking at them now like Maybee, we go
after them, and THEO gives a great speech on why
they should be put in.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
They don't take the bait, but well I do.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Right now, I'll say, And this is a testament to
this being I think a pretty strong cast at least
from this point forward, no offense, because like I'm trying
to think of, Okay, who are the bottom teams, right,
and even like I go to obviously I mentioned, you know,
a couple of them, and then I'm trying to think

(22:14):
maybe Nannie and Justin or Leo and Ashley, And still
I think even those teams, if they got to the final,
would have a puncher's chance or a runner's chance or
a puzzler's chance of winning one of these finals against
pretty much any other three teams. And so I think
probably the margin for error is small enough between the
teams that are left that nobody thinks it's worth sacrificing

(22:36):
their game to take out, for instance, like the one
big gun who's hanging over the whole season. I think
we saw that last season with forty, that Jordan's a
guy where you let Jordan just skate through a season
and win He's gonna take all your money and run.
And I sat back watching that season thinking, obviously there's
a flaw in the system. Only the women are deciding
what men go in. The women have no reason to

(22:58):
care if Jordan goes to the final. Well, that's kind
of the big mathematical mistake there by the challenge gods.
That being said, that's what you don't want to watch happen.
I don't know that they're like Jeremy and Aviv. I
don't know, to everyone feel like the Jordan of this
season the same way that say a Jordan does uncertain seasons.
I don't know that Mikaela and Cedric feel that way,

(23:20):
or even a Sydney and a Turbo feel that way.
I know you've said that a couple of times about them.
I just think watching I still think that I kind
of consider almost, you know, maybe eight of these teams
left pretty even. So I think it's kind of like
what you said, it's about getting there. So I guess
I kind of answered my own question, and that, you know,
I was at first, I was wondering, is this just
a rookie mistake for a Jeremy or for a Cedric

(23:43):
or for any of these guys to come into the
challenge world thinking it's best to get to the end
with you know, your four you know friends, if they're
the four best teams. But in this I don't think
the difference between four and eight is that large. You know,
maybe there between four and ten is, but I don't
think the difference between four and eight really is well
real quick before, I mean, you can.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Look at, uh, you know, four or five of these
teams as being like the best team right now, Like
it's hard to tell exactly who the best team is.
But like obviously Michaela's got the injured ankle, you know,
and then you know that that's gonna make her, you know,
extra aware of like teams that she can't beat right
Like I'm I'm gonna tell you right now. I beat

(24:25):
her up the mountain. She beat me down the mountain.
I beat Adrian up the mountain. Adrian beat me down
the mountain. They both did. Will beat me up the mountain.
I mean I would I beat well up the mountain.
He beat me down the mountain. So, like it's it's
very popular, like the like these like these teams are
all really good, you know, and the bottom the problem

(24:48):
right now is you have you that super Alliance is
still you know, holding strong, and the the the team
that's really in the middle of this thing is Will
and Olivia, both on the drama side and on you know,
playing on both teams, and they're having a lot, a

(25:08):
lot of problems. And my question is is, like, uh,
they have problems, it looks like, but there's still such
a fucking strong team. You can't just have a couple
of conversations and figure it out, Like you can't have
some like team you.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Know, some some team time, some tea time where.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
You're like, hey, listen, you know, let's let's uh, you know,
let's let's let's do do a little you know, you know,
play some game of trust where I'm falling you know,
you're falling into into me and I'm falling into you,
or you know, I don't let you fall into the
pool or something like that. Because it just boggles my
mind that, like, you know that, I mean, arguably Olivia

(25:50):
and Will should be right there in conversation with h
Jeremy and Aviv and Uh and Turbo and Sydney, Cedric
and Mikayla too.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
You know, here's what I'll say to that, I think that,
like you said, for Mikayla, for you, for people who
have like a very specific ailment, uh, you probably think
of things a little bit differently than the players that
feel like they're playing at full strength or are at

(26:26):
a constant tug of war with their their partner or
their political alignment in the game. I mean, you have
basically half of the house is kind of just playing
from the bottom in general with the Oliviya's of the world,
and again playing tug of war with their partner in
the sense that it seems like, I mean, go back
to that conversation with our good friend Ryan Keho who
got a free cameo in this episode, Olivia, it feels

(26:50):
like we're foreshadowing some Olivia and and Will drama here,
So we'll see how that plays out. But I mean, look,
I think it's a really interesting toron of teams. Left,
we have to say goodbye to the main feed. We're
gonna continue to break down this episode Before we say
goodbye to the main feed. I do want to ask you, though,
what your thoughts were on the first couple of minutes
of this episode where people are having a little bit

(27:12):
of fun at your expense, you know, justin Leo and
these guys are obviously doing everything from you know, jumping
on the bed and whatnot, but also just kind of
really saying that it was you know, hard to watch
a lot of people feeling bad for d and a
lot of people kind of taking away from Theo's accomplishment
the fact that he beat you, but you kind of

(27:35):
beat yourself, right, what's it like watching this? Obviously you're
not there to respond. You do get mentioned a couple
more times, which is always fun. But what was it like?
Were you keeping tabs on who's saying what?

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Absolutely, you know, I mean we all we all need
a dancing partner as the challenge season goes on, so
you know you just sit there and you wait and
let them come after you and you know, see on
the next one. But I don't think it's you know,
it's not all like super disrespectful. I mean I looked
like ship It was embarrassing imagine being me, you know.

(28:11):
So but as far as like you know, Cedric does
a good job of like staying like even keeled, like
he's not like crossing the line, and and.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
You know he's having fun with it.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
It's like it's like, you know, it's it's like it's
it's like it's it's playful. It's talking playful, talking ship,
you know what I mean, it's talking ship where it's
like like dudes playing sports, you know what I mean.
Like I did go flying. That was a good uh
you know, a way to depict it.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
It was.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
It was awesome. I thought it was I thought it
was fun. I thought it was above the line, above
the above the belt.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
You know.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
I think Justin said it was embarrassing. Uh it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
I mean, fuck, you know, imagine being me that that
That's what I'm saying. And then also, you know, coming
from a guy that you know is doing so well,
you know, talk.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Your ship, you know, like, you know, it seems like
Justin has.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
A a healthy challenge future ahead of him, especially winning
this this daily unexpectedly with no strategy along with Nannie,
and then and then Leo goes, uh, you know, Dale
didn't really win. Derek kind of lost himself, you know.
So yeah, I you know, I would really like to

(29:29):
see that game, you know, played on a balance beam.
I think it was kind of like a waste of
a pillow fight because I think that that can be
another fun elimination. And we've seen them kind of make
some changes to some eliminations and make them look similar,
kind of like you know, the the one that I

(29:51):
had with the ball with the with the with the Harassio.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
They they kind of made that kind of like with
Izzy and Tay this season. Similar, not the same.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
But I think that there's a way to make the
pillow fight more fun to watch, more of a dog
fight rather than just like a you know, puppy pat
as the girls were doing up there, because just I
found it really hard to balance obviously, not just hard
to balance. I found it, you know, like almost impossible

(30:21):
to stay on there. But if you maybe make that
balance them a little bit of a square, stand us
up or even just keep us sitted sat down, I
think it's an easy contraption to make, and I think
it would be fun to watch, you know, two people,
you know, beat the crap out of each other with pillows.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
I think that would be cool. I don't kind of
like joust, I.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Don't know that they're going to be looking to do
that in that form or even close to it. Again,
if they're paying close attention to the reaction, I don't
know about if it was more people feeling for you,
not liking the sort of dually one sided outcome of
you know, d really taking care of Adrian THEO really
taking care of you. I got almost like universally negative

(31:04):
feedback about that elimination. I think the idea of pillows,
I think really rubs people the wrong way. I think
the fact you can call it pillow fighting, I felt
a lot of people talking about it the same way
when they added the stuff to the hall brawl, so
I'd be shocked that we saw it again.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Well okay, well let me ask you, as far as
a pillow fight goes, have you ever been in a
pillow fight? And I asked the same question to anybody listening.
Have you ever fucking wailed on one of your friends
with a pillow before?

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah? I mean yeah, well not like I'm not so
much as an adult per se, but yeah, I mean.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
As a child, as a child at some point, just
what wailed on your brother, as you know, with the
fucking pillow to the point where mom and dad has
to get called because one hit the other one you
know more than the other.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
And you know, I'm I'm not even saying that I've had.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
That happen, but I have, you know, gone at it
with a pillow at some point in my day and
it is fucking fun and there's feathers everywhere, and you know,
you get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Like that's what it should have been.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
It should have been like a fucking chaotics Like it
was a chaotic.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Scene at my embarrassing expense.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
But like that a pillow like that you want, like
you want, like you want the Corey elimination version of
a pillow.

Speaker 4 (32:16):
Like.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
You want to like you guys both have a pillow
and you're trying to knock the stuff off the other
person or trying to knock.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
A person like like like like a jousting match, except
with pillow. And it could be sitting down or it
could be standing up, but to the point where it's like,
you know, you're going for a little while, you know,
but like really hitting each other, not like patting each
other because you're too far away and your arms aren't
long enough to get there, you know.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah, Okay, we got to say by the main feed
to summarize though, any hard feelings for the guys who
were talking about you at the beginning of this episode,
justin Leoh Cedric.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
It's all warranted, man, It's all you know, I deserve it.
I would be this, I would probably be on the
other side doing the same thing, you know. So I
can't sit there and hate on these guys for calling
it how it was. You know, if they you know,
if they said, you know, if they dug deeper.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
And dug the knife in, you know, more than just kind.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Of like a from a playful standpoint, then yeah, I'd
be pissed. But they kind of kept the knife where
I put it.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
You know, we're gonna say goodbye to everybody on the
main feed. If you're enjoying this free preview and you

all ages, but proceed with caution and discretion. Everyone will
be idd and carted. You must be with a parent
or guardian, and there will be foul language. People will

bring your youngsters. But technically, yes, this is an all

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
