episodes of Days?

Oh don't you mean last week's episodes? I felt like
I was watching essentially the same week over again, and
so I.

Felt, yeah, with one exception, yeah, it was decent, But
one exception we got actually some movement or actually I
feel like they they kind of telegraphed who the shooter
was this week.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah, and I think we got a teeny weensy bit
of movement on two storylines.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, which again, I'll take it.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I mean we have to. That's all they're going to
give us.

Speaker 2 (06:34):

I've noticed this too. I forget who said it. I don't
know if it was you, Tony or someone else, that
the Friday cliffhangers aren't hitting like they used to. No,
like they're not like you know what I mean, Like
it's not ending on like a punch or like something
dramatic or sighting or I don't know, it's just they're
not hitting like they used to.

I paced myself because I had a wicked hangover Saturday morning,
and I would I paid for it.

I don't know if if if she's watching with my mom,
but shout out to my niece, who uh is with
my mom? I think she might be upstairs in her room,
just minding her business. So shout out to my niece. Yeah,
I thought I was more interested in the in in

the court case, to be honest. Everything else. I was
just kind of like, okay, bye, that doesn't mean that
the actors are not talented and not doing what they're
supposed to do. Uh. It just I just feel like
I had more vested interests in the courtroom than kind

of repeats of like yeah, stuff again. But you know,
I think it was interesting that this week she is upsetaious.
Of course she is young adult. Uh, it was interesting
how people are starting to put pieces of the puzzle
together on certain things. So yeah, well let's talk about it.

Well, I say quick, and then Miss Elderflower Liquor, we'll
probably find something to like rant about because the alcohol
hit and now she wants to talk.

Hey, I did a guest spot on a podcast this morning,
and I had no alcohol, I had coffee in my system.
I still made it run an hour longer than it
was supposed to.

It's a personal challenge to her.

so you're you're trying to make the show longer. That's
the goal.

I can't help it if I'm very entertaining when I'm

Like, all right, let's talk about this this court case,
shall we. I don't even know where to begin, but
my mind goes to this. You know, there are times
where we realize we are watching a soap opera and
we have to disband this belief because we know that

it's going to correlate to the storyline in some way,
right m hm. The fact that all the other jurors
got their own room and Leo has to share a

(11:27):
room with your number whomever whose wife is a big
fan of Adam, Adam whose wife is a big fan
of a Body and soul, Body and Soul. I was like, Okay,
where are we going?

Speaker 6 (11:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:49):
What are we doing? Adam is But you know what,
I actually I feel like we asked for this. Yeah,
because remember when we were like, they should focus on
the people who actually live in Salem. Well, we've got
juror Adam, We've got the shopkeeper. So we're starting to

get people who live in Salem who have no correlation
to uh to like the families, but they just live there,
which you know, I like you like us. For the record, y'all,
if anyone ever says if you like it, I love it,
they don't love it.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
There's a show just a short sidebar, there's a show
on Netflix right now called The Murdering What No, The
Hunting Wives. In one episode they used too tony and
one of them was, if you like it, I love it?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
I mean listen.

Speaker 4 (12:51):

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yeah, oh shady Sunday.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
I think he is actually, oh god, I think he
is the foreman of the jury.

Someone asked, if Leo we're back, We're back to Leo?

Leo the Foreman, And yeah, probably I'm guessing they'll make
Leo the foreman because that's.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Well, yeah, because they only get a shot of him, yes, trial, Yes,
and a few of the other people. We just have
to assume they're they're talking to a full jewelry.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
He takes up half the screed whenever they go to
the other half is the trial. Like, okay, but it's
it's interesting and I'm wondering where where.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
They're where they're going to go with that. But kudos
to Leo for faking a stroke ish to get his
man to come and be like hey bo. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
I didn't put that together until Hobby walk through the door.
He was like, I'm going to call nine one one.
I was like, really, they're going, okay, we're just gonna
randomly called nine one one. Okay, you're taking this bit
a little too far. But yeah. Also, I didn't know
if they were trying to like make some like meta
commentary on Leo as a character. Like he now has

(14:18):
his own person who's like annoying him and talking too much,
and you know, you know what I mean. Like I
was like, yeah, it's like giving him a shot of
his own medicine. Maybe I don't know if that was
the point of it.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
So, Michael maddis you wish this on him?

Speaker 6 (14:35):
I did think of Michael during this whole day. I
was like, he must be loving this.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
That that angle kind of went over my head saying
but I was kind of disinterested in the whole thing.
So maybe that's why a good take on it though,
But yeah, you're you're right, because he wouldn't the guy
wouldn't shut up.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
I was like, Michael either loves this or he thinks
it's like to Leo. So he's like, I'm doing.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
That or I'm doing this. Who's that? No, I'm kidding. No,
I missed that angle though.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
Mm hmm hm hmm.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Interesting. Uh okay, back to the courtroom. M So, I
feel like I kind of like this Bell versus e
J in the courtroom kind of thing. I do feel
like it's very interesting. I think, like we said last week,
that they're like the witnesses and everybody are so related

(15:42):
to the case that I'm like, how is this not
a mistrial?

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Like in reality it would be yeah, like like we
we allegedly get a verdict this week. I'm like, are
we even gonna care? Like we would be like there's
been so many like this would never happen, This would
never happen, This would never happen. And like you said earlier, Tony,
it's a soap opera. We have to suspend this belief.

(16:08):
We can only do that to so much point, like
like there's absolutely no way this trial would have gone
on as it has in any in any form of
reality soppera otherwise. But here we are.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I'm going through and just so little Rachel took the
sand first, I think, wait, there was something else I
noticed first. I feel like when they did a flashback,
I was like they they filmed this later, because I

(16:51):
don't feel feel like this was shot the same.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Oh the Rachel flashback? Would that one? You mean when
she saw Johnny holding the gun and you could see
her in the back.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I think it was a courtroom flashback because I was like,
those people weren't there, oh, which I can't remember the
apart but anyway, but yeah, I mean that's classic days though,
where they like go back and film that and you
know we see it from her perspective. I mean I
feel like this. I feel like one as a kid,

(17:27):
you can't tell time, if that makes sense. I think
she got scared at what she was seeing. Yeah, and
because if she was able to say, I saw Johnny
with the gun, I got scared. I ran upstairs, went
to my room, hopped in bed, and then I heard

(17:48):
a band. I think that time span would be able
to like be able to be figured out. But for
some reason, I feel like as a kid, she saw it,
ran upstairs, dived in bed, closed her eyes, fell asleep.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
That's the Yeah, I feel like that's what I was
trying to say.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
And woke up to a band. So I feel like
sometime passed before she actually heard the gunshot mm hmm.
But I mean she gave her testimony.

Speaker 6 (18:32):
It was it was nice to see. This was probably
the most realistic part that they were sort of the
way they framed the questions and the way they approach
Rachel because she was a child. Who there who ironically
is both of their nieces, both of their niece so like, yeah,
so I'm like, who, what witness are they not related
to maybe Gabby, but that even that's their marriage. But

(18:56):
but yeah, I thought that was the most realist the
way they approached her, and like the they didn't go
too hard on.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Her, a little more sensitive with her that they were
with the other the other witnesses. That that quiet line
of questioning about the timing reminds me. Reminded me of
the scene in My Cousin Vinnie where Joe Peshi's character
was questioning the witness because he was saying it only
took five minutes to make his brist He takes like, oh,
we're you using instant grits.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Nobody in Mississippi used instant respections of the using instant grits.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
I take proud of my grits. So you're telling me
that it cook cook faster in your kitchen than anywhere
else on the face of the earth. What are the
magic grits? Oh my god, that discrepancy in the time.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Yeah, like my cousin the two youths two oh im,
sorry youth Okay. I have to move on from that
because Marissa Tomay is like, well, all be my favorite
In that movie.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Which which which monologue, she has a couple in that
scene in that movie.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
All I'm gonna say is imagine your idea.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Yep, that got her that Oscar I that mm hmm anyway.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
And then the no, the defense is wrong. It's like
watch this anyway. Uh So, but sometimes I, you know, again,
I go back to, like, you know, should we have
had this information like sooner in order to still remain

(20:39):
interested in the in the case, because it's just weird
that that that there's we know that it wasn't Johnny,
we know that it wasn't Gabby, we know that it
wasn't Chanel m hm, we know it wasn't Kristen. It's
like it's like it's like we're just sitting on Johnny,

(21:03):
but it's like we ruled out so many other people
that it's like, okay, like who is it? And I
think we've said this before, as the audience by now
we would already know who it is, but they would
so I don't know this. Uh this trial has definitely
been interesting, and then you know, with everyone that's coming on,

(21:28):
you just feel like they're just trying to prove that
it could It may not be Johnny, but it could
be other people. But they're still not pinpointing who it
could be. Do we know it wasn't Kristen in the
shower washing her hair is a valid alibi? Yes, it
worked on legally blond.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
It's it's a loose like it's you know, a loose alibi.
But that house is big enough. Yeah, like I could
see like if her her if her bathroom is upstairs
and away and the shower is running, like yeah, it
could potentially be a valid yeah, albi. Although Kristin has

(22:16):
been known to he's a gun more than but it
wasn't her gun that did it.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
No, because she was because you know, they they found
the gun and then the bullet didn't match and so
like again she was is it vindicated? She was vindicated
like a long time ago, like we like we knew
it wasn't her. So I don't know. The trial just
feels like it's we just need to prove that Johnny

(22:44):
is innocent. But when Chanelle came up, uh and everyone
was watching the video, she was like, now wait a minute,
I know I ain't say that. And it's like at
some point that EJ think that, well, I mean obviously
he's not thinking because it's like, now that you've permitted

(23:08):
this in court, and I love that. Johnny was like, yeah,
but filmmaking is what I know. Yeah, and that that
video was altered. I was like, Okay, we're getting somewhere.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
They sat on that video for a couple of weeks now, yeah,
and find that it's resurfacing that they're actually going to
look into it because they dropped that video a long time,
just like weeks ago.

Speaker 6 (23:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, and Rita can't be that good of an editor
to where she can No, she can make it undetectable.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
So if you haven't redhead everyone, supposedly we're going to
get a definitive answer next Tuesday.

I just want to repeat it because I'm very bored
and I just want the fallout to begin exactly.

I want it to be like I want us to be,

already think that we are so close to the show
that we know, and the last thing we want to

hypnosissis is like every time he talks, I'm just like
I feel like he's skewing things to like his benefit,

like that's how I feel like EJ is and he's
just like, it's a girl. I'm like, is it or

We have to trust that EJ is not lying, which

I mean Marlene said too. Marlena was like, no, I
mean he's being truthful, and I mean after what he
did to Belle and everything like that, and the fact
that she can still remain professional.

You know, But I think it makes sense in terms
of like if he's he's he can't see the person
because his subconsciousnes is ideally protecting them, and then it
labeled it. You know, it dwindles down the list to
a very to me, there's only two people and it
actually I'm surprised the person wasn't mentioned in our private

the other person, I think it wasn't mentioned. They were
actually mentioned before. So I think one of you changed
your mind on who.

You I mean, I've changed my mind about who I
think the show is going to make it. But yeah,
I'll be surprised, Okay, I'll be surprised if it is
actually one of my first guesses. Well, you know, my
first guest was the EJ did to himself. So if
that and I've said that out loud, but then you know,

that I didn't say that, but that I actually thought, yeah, I.

Think well, actually I would say three people. That applies
to who EJ would would his subconscious would not let
him get or accuse to me. That applies to three people,

week on the show, I felt like gave that person
gave their motive in a different scene. It was very
slight and very small, and they like gave their reasoning
as to why they shot e J.

Okay, because I must have missed that, because nine times
out of ten I was like looking around at everything
else and then catching the tail end of a conversation
and being like I got it. Yeah, I mean that's

pretty much it. I think I think we're we're at
a point where we just want to know who done
did it?

Ye a lot, I thought, I well, speaking of I
thought that I loved the e J Gwen conversation. I
like those two getting along in him basically revealing He's like,
I guess, I guess he mentioned Sammy and then she
was like Sammy, Sammy would do that. And He's like, oh,
she shot me in the head before.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
And I was like, dang, you got shot in the
head too, and you still just fully functioning.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Oh yeah, no, she would.

Speaker 6 (31:44):
Will shot him. I can't remember if We'll shot him.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
In the head before, but well no, Will no, Will
didn't shoot him in the head. Will shot him in
the chest. And then Sammy shot him in the head.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
And then Clyde there was some rando.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
And then Clyde's guy shot him, and that was Scott's exit,
and then this time that's four.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
And then someone tried to shoot him, I got Sammy instead, right.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
No, someone tried to shoot him and got chat instead.

Oh oh that's right.

Yeah, and that's how Yeah, that's yeah.

talking to him, which I like that it's now it's

family secret, but everyone in the family knows about it,

knows Ari of course knows, even though she isn't particularly
close to him, So it's something that's known in the family.

and like that. To me, those are valid concerns for
her to have and wanting to and that that she
was wanting to check in on her daughter's mental health.
I think that's completely valid and caring, and of course
Sophia is going to push her away because she doesn't

was on any side a little bit during that conversation.

it's kind of intriguing him and Gabby together. But if
they keep inserting Sarah, like this time it was Sarah

out of spite, it's just too messy and it's just
too juvenile and it's yeah.

The only part of this storyline that I was interested
in this week was Xander telling off Gwen and that
look that to me, did show growth because he was

I don't think that Sarah's gonna gonna give him any

It's like if you're gonna break them up, break them
up and like let them go and explore something with
other people and then keep you know, they're in each
other's orbit because of Victoria, but other than that, it's
it's becoming too repetitive.
