Dario Marini Ricci è un volontario di IBO Italia che ha vissuto il suo anno di Servizio Civile fra il 2016 ed il 2017, in Perù, a Lima. Dodici mesi vissuti in una realtà comunitaria come quella di Casa Tirado dell’Operazione Mato Grosso. Poi il rientro: l’impossibilità e la difficoltà di raccontare l’esperienza a chi lo aspettava in Italia, la mancata rielaborazione di quell’anno con gli altri volontari, la sensazione di avere più domande che risposte, l’amaro scontro con il mondo della cooperazione internazionale, la scoperta dell’insegnamento come scelta di impegno e professione, la decisione di prendersi un tempo fermo. Senza però rinunciare alla denuncia di quello che non va, anche nel Servizio Civile all’Estero, all’attivismo a livello locale, alla partecipazione sociale e politica, all’amata pallacanestro. Con quell’anno di Servizio Civile e quella condizione di condivisione estrema che, guardandosi indietro, ogni tanto manca.
