Timeord Perst Podcast recording the Sunday Evening Remember a second
twenty twenty five. Not a very common thing you see
(01:16):
here recording on a weekend. I do tend to avoid that,
but sometimes we gotta do what we got to do.
We have a lot to get to on the show.
Today is I have to fix. Oh my god, my
cameras I missed up right now, that's a little I
don't like that. I don't want that happen on that. Okay,
there we go. All right, We've got a lot to
get to today on the show. Not well, it won't
be a long one actually though, but uh, you know
(01:36):
we're gonna talk about of course, Uh, we'll get my
New York Giants at the halfway point a year now
that we're now firstually reaching having for a year and
season going going backwards again. Also my very early weeknight
observations normally just on that Tuesday show, but we may
not be able to record a solo episode on Tuesday
due to my schedule that day, So we getting in
(01:58):
now early. So we're we're we're recording this show before
the Sun night game and before obviously the Monday night games,
So my observations will not include those two games. And
if things were to come out of those games that
I would want to talk about, probably I'll discuss that
everything comes out of out of those games. I'll probably
discussed that probably on the Friday show, if we do
(02:20):
a Friday show. Of course this week, of course, and
the daughters go back to back. I'll explain, I'll talk
to you why then take my action to the World
Series and what classic World Series? And I know a
lot of people saying that it's a great sport series
of all time, and I'm bean honest with you, it
was pretty damn good. I have a hard time finding
many that are better than the one resaw this year.
But we get to all that in just a second.
(02:40):
But why I want to talk to you guys about
something well quick before we get to some of the
sports stuff here on the show. It's been a lot
in my mind lately on a personal level in terms
of my passions. You know, it starts off with something
that my friend, one of my coworkers said. It's funny
when I was at work the other day front of
my about sports and all that stuff, and you know,
(03:06):
another core came out and as we're tum about sports says,
you know, she's she goes, it's not only you gotta
stop all sports, the way to stop all sports. And
I'm like, no, not really. In fact, you know me, well,
but she's not really, She's she's a a friend, which
is the most acquaintance though, but you know, she she
you know, I told her that, you know, like we
knew me. Well, you know that I'm very much passionate
(03:26):
about music, about politics, about my family. Sports is one
of those things I could talk but uh, we do
like to I do like to talk about sports, but
it's not my number one passion. It's music. Last week
I told you guys, I went to see one of
my prayer bands in the world, Free of Prectory, in
(03:47):
concert last week, and it was a phenomenal show. I
went on a play. I went to the venue where
I many times over have played in well of course
last twenty something years in the band when I was
in the band of Time. And it rubbed a lot
of memories a lot of things else too. When being
in a concert, I ran to a lot of old
(04:07):
friends of mine and of some of some of some
of most friends actually were old musicians of mine, amas
just rather I used to jam with back in the day.
So being there, in in there and seeing people and
that in that environment, it triggered something. It triggered something
for me, you know I and I think I've been
teasing this off and off for the last year or so,
(04:30):
but I think I really hit it hit it. It
really hit me at that concert that I really really
miss playing music. I really miss playing the band. Now.
You know the thing the problem with me is that
as best as I want to do music again, you know,
it's about finding the right right find the right fit,
(04:50):
find the right guys that are playing the music you
want to do. And in my case, I you know,
for a long time, I wanted to get out of
the metal genre. I wanted to go back to do
like maybe soft the rock or you know, some more
little more mainstream, a little more simple. But every time
I get, you know, the urge to do it, there's
nothing there that really moves me. Like my thing's metal.
(05:11):
I love playing hard rock, heavy metal. That's just my passion,
you know, because of music like as less I would
I want to mind playing in a band that sounds
like incombuss on the band that stuff like you know,
Creed want call that it's it's not my thing like
I like listening to it. But to me in a band,
I just love heavy music. That is my passion. So
(05:34):
in rule of that, if I'm want to do this,
I need to find the right mix of musicians and
people I can work with and vibe with but also too,
I haven't done this to medium in so long. I
mean I wasn't I was not married at time, so
I didn't have kids at a time. So if I'm
gonna do this again, it's gonna be very something that
(05:56):
I can die myself into and really really have time
before and you know, and his pros and cons on
the pros of courses getting back into it doing music again.
Have my kids seen me for the first time playing music,
which all support My wife supports it, you know, you know,
is give me something else I can I can, I
can lean on outside of podcasting up my family the
(06:16):
con but I have to be keep you one hundred years.
I do think the cons out ready to pros and
in some sense because his is the one issue. Okay,
I do a band, we'll have time for a band,
and then only I have a type of band, we'll
have time to practice. And does the time allotted fit
the schedule we have I have at home because as
(06:38):
you guys know, here at home, you know, we're our
schedlus very tight as this. Okay, anything we do involves
we need to get babies is involved, babysitters involved, okay,
and we try to not. We try to as much
as possible to not rely on other people to watch
our kids. And that's an issue, you know. Number two,
(07:00):
I have a real on the show last week to Also,
my wife is planning on going back to the school
next year. That is something that she has said that
she wants to do and I support that. And if
she was in school, that's even less time now I
have now to do this, so and money on top
(07:21):
of two. Also because being in a band, you know,
we have maybe rin out studio time to a chord.
We've at a studio time to practice unless whoever I
or for people I have decided to play with, that's
they have a garage or something to play in. Most
of the time. To find winter Jam, you have to
be in a studio. I can't do my garage because
of my garage. I'm living in a community where it's
it would be way too loud to have a band
(07:43):
stut here. So it's a lot of things I have
to consider, and honestly, sitting here and really running it out,
the cons really do outrage of pros. It really does
because an effect. And I when I say cons, it's
not that it's bad, it's just that there are things
that are much more important. There are that may be
(08:05):
getting away to making this happen. See podcasts means different.
I'm at home, I'm in my studio. I'm at home,
my kids are going to sleep. I can record anytime
I want to. Now my kids little older, and I
think even when they're awake, I can quard one or two.
So I have that time. I have that, I have
that opportunity to do this medium a much easier and
to be real, not to sound selfish here, but it's mine.
(08:28):
So therefore I work on my schedule. I work on
base on how my life is, my lifestyle works out,
you know. So it's easier that way. But to do
a band that's shared by other members, it is tough, dude.
It was tough even back then in two thousands when
I was didn't have wiping kids, you know, and we
still had to work around people's schedules and stuff in
that nature. It's worse now I'm forty five years old.
(08:51):
And there's another part too. Also, I think I'm people
not considering it. Might myself have that to consider. It's
the physical part, like my I'm not doing well. Otherwise
I said it was twenty years ago. I'm not as
fit as like what used to be my neck because
because when I was when I was playing back in
the day, I would headbang my neck. It's it's it's
it's all the atheo arthritis, not all the rosis are
(09:15):
theo arthritis my neck. So every so often that I
get pain to my neck not cool. And I know
I'll be in this shoe al also, I guess you
know because the job I do wells too, especially I
get so much easier. So can I hold up? Because
that kind of music goals too? When you're playing it,
it's very physical. It's very very physical, and my way
when I perform on stage two als especially, I don't
(09:37):
just standard and play. I move around. So that's another layer.
So there's a lot of things I can consider. So
do I want to do this? Yes? Am I gonna
try and make this happen? Possibly, But it's gonna be easy?
Hell no. And he's not gonna be easy. But as
I said, I keep you guys updated about where I'm
at on this, on this journey. If I decide to
get back into it, I want to do it, but
(10:00):
it canna be easy. So then I'll say about that
all right. Now reached the halfway point for New York
Giants this year. They are now two and seven of
the season. They lost today once again to the Niners
to thirty four to twenty four. I didn't have a
chance one the entire game because I had red zone.
I don't have that. I don't have the ticket, and
therefore that that game was out regional here for us.
So now we're gonna do midterms on the Tuesday Show
(10:23):
with Kyle Nash Studior Report. We're playing with the midterms
for each team in the league. That's the reason why
I'm gonna be able to do solo shows. I'm living
on a time and a little time I have I
want to do. Make sure I record with Kyle that day,
but I will tell about New York Giants on my end.
It's been a very weird season because there was some
expectations though of course Jackson THRTE comes in late and
(10:44):
I think week four, so the Russell Wilson and that
was not really growl. I mean had a really great
way two week two against of Dallas. Whether than that,
a lot of games from the Giants got away. They've
they've been competitive most of the year, but two and
seven two in seven, Bro, I'm getting to see minus
so far because they because for me, the issue for me,
(11:08):
the number part for me now is seeing Jackson start developed.
That's all I care about is development Jackson's art. In fact,
I'll be honest with you. I look, I'm not a
fan of tanking. But at the same time, I would
not mind this team going after another draft pick, another
draft pick, high draft pick, rather going to next year.
But I'm getting worried now because it's starting to feel
(11:31):
like the season now is simping away, not not when
the playoffs, but sort of whether Ryan dave Ball is
losing the team like the scoutbl injury last year. Camp
scatbal injury last week in Phildelphiam might have actually not
been more than just hurt the team not having a
great player there, but also derailed the passion for the
rest of the year. Because one of the things you realize,
(11:52):
especial when Dark came and Jackson Dark came in in
lightnment week four, is that there was a there was
a sense of urgency and a sense of like fire
and excitement for his team in Scottaboo and Dart what
they were doing after that, he gets hurked last week
and then everything everything else is done flat since then.
You know. So the thing is, I don't want Brandon
walk lose his job. Okay, I don't want his job,
(12:15):
but I feel like now if he starts losing the
team the second half of the year, that may very
well happen. If he loses the team, for his point
on his job is short in jeopardy now. Having said
that the development of Dart has been fantastic and Brian
deon Wallen this is credit for that. So it would
behoove the Giants to stick it out with the coach
another year. As the quarterback is getting better. You know,
(12:39):
he chose a quarterback. The qurback he chose is playing well. Okay,
there are games that I should have won this year.
Obviously the Cowboys game Week two should have won the Obviously,
the fucking Denver games is in the one two weeks ago.
And even I mean say I say the Saints game
they lost should have won. You know, there are games
in there that should have won. So the being competitive,
(12:59):
look his bomb line. If they're gonna make some moves,
first and foremost, they need a fire steam. But when
defends cordinator. He's got to go. It's got to go.
He's been terrible this year. That Denver loss alone depending
on him. Okay, and here's the bottom line. Jackson Dart
is still playing well. He played okay, but today today
for the most part, no picks, you know, fairly efficient today.
He's got the issue. He's working with less. He doesn't
(13:20):
have many receivers to throw too. You know, Scotti Booh
now has his best friend of this team is now
gone for the year. You know, he has no weapons
work with this point. Now, he's nothing work worth he
in the issue. So I hope the New York Giants
brass are able to be patient and stay the course.
You know, you know you retool. We need to retool.
The defense will part this this week. I don't know
what happened in defense that the fire has gone there
(13:41):
too also so but like I said, the whole priority
for this team moving forward, for us of this year
is development, development of Jackson Dart and that again I
think that is going to save Dave Ball's job ultimately.
Here and the fans needed to do to relax. No
offens the ball, Okay, you fire the ball? Who are
(14:02):
you gonna get. Are you gonna get, You're gonna get
you You're gonna call hmoo Bill Belichick in North Carolina.
Mm hmmm, who you're gonna get? Because one thing I
will say, changing coaches all the time all often does
not work. You know you wanna know why because the
Giant's been doing it in the last fucking eight nine
years now since Tom Coughlin. They've had what Ben mcad do, uh,
(14:24):
Pat Schirmer, Joe Judge, And I know I'm missing somebody
in there. I know missing some money in there. Okay,
I know the coach in there. Okay, They've had so
many coaches in the last eight years, like, it doesn't work,
litter than Brown twenty years and prior to prior to now, Kenisavanski,
who knows he loses his job. If he loses his job,
then of a year. You know what I'm saying, it
(14:45):
doesn't work. It doesn't work by moving coaches every so often.
So state a course of the year you have the
quarterbacks the quarterback, rather build from there moving forward, and
next year they flopped. Then he fired a coach. Okay,
but not in this year in my opinion. All right,
So restle week again, this is a recordings on a
Sunday before sunnight football, before midnight football. So these hosprations
(15:07):
are gonna are gonna count minus those two games. First
opposation week. Here's the deal. Buffalo beat Kansas City. That
was cute, Buffalo. It was cute, and no one's surprised.
I picked you guys nearly the entire country. Surprise, pick
you guys who win. But here's the bottom line. Didn't
when it matters in January. It doesn't matter because guess what,
(15:28):
you guys always beating the Kansas City in in June
reclar season. You guys always beat the Kansas City Chiefs
during the year. So the fifth straight year you beating them,
fourth straight year you beat them in you know before
before before January, and now what even January doesn't matter,
you know what I'm saying. So nothing surprise here. Now
I won't say the case he's too if it's a
(15:50):
Buffalo here. It was a must win in terms of
their perception and whatnot. But it was also must win
for Kansas City because the schedule now happens. Said that
I think to be fine because again Pat mahomes any read,
they find a way to get the job done. And
then probably those games you were about, they're picking the
Windows games anyway, played the Colts? Did you play the
(16:11):
Broncos next week? And to be honest with you, would
a shock to be winning both those games. No, in fact,
why I picked Bill both games? Probably yes, because that's
what the Chiefs do until the dead and buried. I
am not kind of kind of well, bottom line, A'm
not doing it. So kicking the Colts. Now, where's where
old Judge starts judging the Cults harshly? Okay, you lost
the game in Pittsburgh, which, by the way, I picked
(16:32):
the Steelers to win the game anyway, so I'm not
surprised this happened. Okay, But now's where the this is.
This is where now you have all the highe the
Colts best team in football for the first eight weeks
of the year. Okay, now you're seven to two. Okay,
Now what you lost the game? Do things derail? Daniel
Jones dined three turnovers? Okay, he had three all year? Okay,
(16:53):
does he derail now? Going forward? Okay, Look, this is
a very good team, but there's still a lot of
doubt out there of this team. When not they're they're
a real school contender. This is where we judge you guys. Now,
can you bounce back? See even though Chiefs have four losses.
Here's why I don't drop the Chiefs. They have the
history to prove it. They have the history and longevity
to say. Ok you know what, they deserve the benefit
(17:15):
of doubt. The Colts. You just got here, bro, You
just got here.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Okay, So you gotta have to earn, earn your way
and earn my respect. Big picture, so we'll see a
next go weeks that they could turn things around. The
Panthers one in Green Bay? Is it time of trust?
The kind of Panthers now? The five and four?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Bro?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
The five four were nowt November and they have a
winning record. Look, I don't think they have a playoffs
I don't think they're going to the playoffs at all.
I already told you guys on on the Friday episode
that the the Nacy player just seems ordy defined. You know,
Philly Rams, Uh Bucks, Lions, you know, tough loss to
the lines today, still lines Packers, you know they stunk
(17:59):
up jongest line of other thing. Uh maybe San Francisco,
maybe Seattle, Panther's No, I'm not buying it. But am
I am? I really impressed on how they played this
year just by all the doubts. Yeah, I'm very impressed.
And another opposition here too. Also, there are a few
teams I trust now going forward. If I'm building the
(18:23):
bubble super Bowls. Obviously the bubble is pretty big. But
if I'm building the teams actually trust, there are maybe
two or three, the Eagles of course being one, despite
them looking sluggish at times, I'm still saying the Chiefs,
they're the Chiefs, you know. And and then you have like, Okay,
(18:43):
I'm gonna say something really crazy here, but I still
at least to get to the second round of playoffs
and maybe beyond I can. I'll still say that the
Ravens I think they're back. I look, I know they're
to the games the back of the window. Win call
them from the wild card. We have a wholeye half
of a year left to go. You're not trusting the
(19:04):
Jaguars to hold that spot down? Right? Come on now? Plus,
I think the rings wmen Division anyway, I don't care
if Stevels won the game. I guess the Colts. I
still trust the Ravens here and if again, they still
played twice this year, so I trust him. So yeah,
Ravens still trust him. I don't trust the Packers. I
(19:25):
somewhat trust the Lions, but that was a rough loss today.
I trust the Rams. I trust the Eagles. Uh, you
know what. I trust the Box I do. The Pats
are out there yet. The Bills, I'm kind of eh
due to the playoffs. Like I said, that's it for me. Really.
(19:45):
I don't trust the Denian Froncos. I mean, that's a
weird ass team to seven them two, but that would
look great. But at the same time, the winning games
were We're supposed to in close games anyway, certainly as
bad teams, but it doesn't matter you when you When
you win, you win, and this year alone, unless you're
losing to the Saints or the Titans or the Dolphins, Mamy,
(20:08):
any team is liable to beating you. So we can't
use that logical to too. So those are my early
weeknight observations, you know, on a Sunday, which I normally
doing on Tuesday, but as you guys know, I may
not be able to do a solo show on Tuesday.
And if I can't do that, then we'll we'll let
it lie. All right, final figures out of here. The
Dodgers go back to back. I'll try. I watched that
(20:29):
game last night, but I was fighting sleeping time time.
I was like half asleep. I was on my bed
with my phone with the game on. I kept going,
I kept going in and out. You know, I missed
the bombed eleventh thing. I mean I saw the wolf
with home run in the top of eleven. Then I
saw the last out the Dodgers got before they won it.
They got a ride on Young Moto man MVP. You know,
(20:52):
we talked about Shohy and this and that, but Young
Moto great game two, you know, solid game Game six.
Then came in uh last night to you know, you know,
close out and to hold hold a fourth down. You
know he was righting me, Pa, I dude, I am
so heartbreaking, all broken for Bluets fans. I really am,
(21:14):
because after Game three I thought they were buried, and
then game four, Game five in LA they blew them out.
They blew up, blew up the Dodgers in game four
and five, okay, and then you figure, okay, well you
just needs to win win one game on the at
home and you're you're good, and Game six it was
chemicking one and the Game seven hit the labels in
the game. I hate it. I hate I hate the Daughters.
(21:36):
You no guests know that I hate the Daughters. Bomb
three were teams with baseball. For me, it has been
for years, Phillies, Dodgers, and Yankees. Okay, but they finally
to win stat roster a side. Yeah, and I'm kind
of being I'm a little annoyed now. It's like Dodger
friends on the online talking ship, like, Bro, you're supposed
to do this, Bro, with that roster, you're supposed to
(21:56):
do this. Okay. The very fact he went seven games
have problem? Okay, I know when sailable Toronto to proved Mervents,
I don't give a shit. You guys have the best
roster in the history of baseball. Don't give me that ship. Okay,
and his bottom line you're all likely to repeat next
year too. Also, you know why I don't see anybody
challenge you guys. Yeah, Welwatch was cute this year, but
(22:17):
they got swept by the Daughter's earlier Okay, NLCS. The
feels a getting older, the mesic can I don't trust
the Mets, who trust America ly to be in Toronto
is a good team. But I don't know if they
could do this again. The Yankee is not gonna compute
with the uh uh with the daughter's here and there
and there's really no big movee. Maybe this year that's
gonna tilt the conversation. Really, I mean, Peter A. Lonso
(22:38):
may go somewhere, but if he Donna, does he tilt
the conversation to I mean he goes Toronto. Me, I
don't know. I don't see the big names in the
market this year. That's gonna tilt the cover. She's like
like a W soub did you know entry this year?
And who to say? They don't even they even add
to this roster because odds are they probably will, you
know why. And that's what they've done. They went last
(22:59):
year and they added Blake Smells to the roster. Crowd
loud who said they get somebody else in a bargain.
It's annoying, man, it's annoying, but you know what, that's
It's what it is. The dough has win the World
Series back to back and that's it. That's just it.
You know, it is what it is. So that is
it for me on this podcast once again dated November two,
twenty twenty five, I am on x at E J.
