Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, time for a fun episode, folks. Welcome to the
Falcon Crest After Show. I'm James E. Junior, Jail j Media.
And so a lot of shows are getting rebooted, continuation
or restarted or whatever, and so I was I was
a fucking Crest group.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
People were talking about sort of things.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
I'm gonna ask you guys about what you guys think
about this?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Uh, and it was kind of fun. So I'm just
curious about.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You guys, you know who are listening, what you think
about this? So Falcon Crest, of course, we love it,
love the show, great concept. They tried something something close
to it called Promised Land, which didn't last that long.
So we're thinking if they brought back the brand of
Falcon Crest, just brought it back.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
So do you do a reboot.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Where you just start over and you take parts of
the old show and but bring new stuff to it
and kind of sort of tie it but not make
it to direct or do you do a direct continuation?

(01:17):
Is the continuation reboot meetings we restart? So I was like,
do you do we do this?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Do we go?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Okay, it's called Falcon Crest. The name is Falcon Crest
there's a name. We're gonna do the Channings, Energy Abertes
and all that. Well, we're just gonna have different names.
It won't be Answer chanting, be somebody else, and we different.
It won't be Richard chatting, be somebody else, and we

(01:44):
just start to show over using kind of the mission
and the kind of the premise.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
As the guide.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Maybe a couple of characters are the same, but you
just start fresh or was that too much like Promised Land?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
So that's why it didn't work.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
We're just wonder if the name makes a difference, or
do you do a continuation? Which for me I kind
of liked that one cause actually just going back to
her reboot, the reboot worked with Dynasty CW Dynasty. Some
folks didn't like it. I liked it, but they did
a whole reboot for five seasons. Dallas did a continuation,

(02:24):
so not saying he's doing anything yet. So I was wondering,
for five grss we do this, I'm like a continuation.
We still set it up in northern California, you know,
near nap or whatever. We still did up there. It
is now the Grandchildren. I would make Lance the lead.

(02:45):
I think Richard could cause which you're too old, cause
shows went off the air for like thirty years. I'm
trying to think of thirty years later. Should we do
like Dallas and have Richard Maggie, Maybe have Richard Maggie and.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Not Julia Emma.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Those three be the older group that everybody else from
there that I guess, or maybe oh, maybe have.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Ooh, maybe have.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Lance and call in charge inside of the family there.
And then Richard's kids there'll be grown ups now in
their thirties. Chased his son that then came later would
be there to uh, Emma's child. We're grown, I think

(03:46):
Pillard did they have a kid?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
They well, her Gardy and the Jerry can be grown.
Then they have another kid.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
I think like there were a whole journey to them,
and we just refleshed those characters out. They're grown ups now,
but keep the original three going on and at Falcon
Crest and it's updated obviously, and put the wine and
still still be the wine business because it's still you know,
and how's that workhouse I compete? I see, I say

(04:17):
we should do a continuation. I know what you guys think,
or what variation or maybe or maybe we all do
the older people, and we do just the kids and
all of them grown up, put them in charge, and
then maybe the older.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Ones who are still around come through.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Now you heard I said Maggie, I would have it
she didn't die, I would be like that pool thinks
the worst would I would.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I would course correct the death.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
And what you could do is either just explain it
later she shows you she's there, You're like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
They do backstory like how she was saved.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
The whole thing, or making a storyline Richard finds Maggie
off these all these years, or the kids find Maggie
and they and you know, bring on her daughter, you know,
I mean I think it's I think it's you know,
there's it's ripe for stuff. And just how San Francisco
and southn that whole area has changed, how the world

(05:24):
has changed. The world off Wine could be a lot
of fun and can still be glamorous. I would modernize
it a little bit because because the fire Quest is
kind of the old world show.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
But then again, you could do that too.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Any older actors can all kind of run through that
I think in the past, or you just do make
it more modern, whereas now it's like it's a more
modern show and social media.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
And how's that work?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Wine brands and now we're drink box wines and canned
wines and wine splitzers and sick skinny girl, Like there's
a whole thing and just fighting old versus new. And
maybe Lance is all for and he's running compan he's
off for the new.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
He's like the other new ones.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Young girlfriends are at PLR and broken up and divorced,
and maybe Coles is sticking them by going no, yes,
it's the true to the like he's the real.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Person fighting for the family stuff. I don't know how
to say.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
That could be cute, they'd be cool too, So yes,
so just just kind of carus what you guys think
at home? Uh, if they should bring back Falcon Crest
period or not. Also, so those are lot of questions.

(06:37):
I don't let there were a lot of answers in
the g everybody's just kind of throwing stuff out. There's
a lot of answers, And but I know we would
love to see the original.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Readily available.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
We've seen, yes, it's on Plex TV, Amazon prily thing
locked it up again.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
We're now have to pay for it, Like it's just
it's almost manny.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
If I again, I say aswered all these shows, if
I can start us twenty for our soap channel, I
try to purchase and acquire fidecasts and you just show
it all the time, just have it on Fridays or
Saturday nights. Just have it just going to the whole
season a week or something. I don't know, I have
season a week or so. I mean it would be
available for you guys to watch whatever you want. Now,

(07:18):
I did advocates on another show. If you can buy
DVDs that are out there, then you won't even have
that problem. Physical media is up now, people are buying physical.
But I go to I go shopping all the time
to half priced books, use bookstores, drift store and stuff.
And whenever I see any of our prime time soaps
on sale like ret t P four dollars, I buy

(07:39):
them and I have them, and any excess that I have,
I give raised gifts. I do like these little zoos
and your raised gifts and be like, you know, have
d player, hold on to d W players are cheap
these days too.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
They're not that expensive.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
We got one for twenty five dollars to their day
playing into your TV Easy Breezy cover.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Girl, you're a laptop be put your laptop.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
But I just telling you, guys, I said, for me,
I have I think I have one season. I'm gonna
trying to get the rest. You know there they're getting
expensive when you go on Amazon. But I'm like, when
you're out and about, stop by a bookstore, stop by this.
I just see you looking at the at the discount
sections and outside of sad and say that, but you
just have to. You might just find it five dollars,

(08:23):
snatch it up, and then you'll have it and you
have to worry about it because I'm just all this
streaming is wonderful, but they're we're at the mercy of
the of the owners of the streaming platform.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Just that simple, it really is.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
So I do advocate for getting physical media. I will
leave the air mouth, my off my soapbox. We're here
on Fridays. It's a lot of it's a lot of
drama Fridays.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
So I have to show like subscribing comments. Tautch you
next time.
