Speaker 1 (00:22):
Welcome, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Groaned. This is where you'll find the uncompromised read letter,
basics of the Word of God, and a focus on
the Book of Acts Church to see how they serve
the Lord. In doing so, we find the church the
Lord intended, not the one man created. The Porch is
(00:44):
here to restore the priesthood of the believer while regaining
the world's shaking influence of the early Church. The Church
age isn't over. The Upper Room experience is as much
for today as it was on the day of Penn cost.
The fire of the Upper Room still burns. It's yours
if you want it. Links to all of our social

We appreciate your support and encouragement. Thank you for being
a part of the porch community. If you need prayer
or you would like to pray for others, just let
us know. We will plug you in or we will
(02:15):
get your need out there. Just remember we care about you. Father.
We come to you in the name of Yashuah, the
name above all names. You are Abbah, your Papa, Daddy.
We thank you. We thank you for loving us when
we were unlovable. We thank you for redeeming us and
(02:36):
restoring us into right relationship with you. Unfortunately, it took
the blood of Yashua to do that, with the unblemish
blood of the Lamb. So we thank you Lord. We
thank you that you answered the call, that you paid
our debts, that you set us free from the curse
of sin and death, and you allowed us to come
(03:00):
home to see Papa, to see Abba. We thank you
for entrusting us with the keys of the kingdom and
empowering us with your divine authority to do what you've
called us to do. We thank you for sending back
the Holy Spirit to fill us, to empower us, to
(03:21):
walk with us, to teach us, and to guide us.
I pray that that happens Tonight's Holy Spirit, I pray
that you have your way with us. Open our hearts,
open our minds. We take our thoughts captive right now
to the obedience of Messiah. We claim the mind of Messiah,
and we cast down every vain imagination that would exalt
(03:45):
itself above the knowledge of l Li and God most Hire,
our Father. We want to be able to do what
you have called us to do, Lord, and to do that,
we need your word inside of us. We need your knowledge,
we need your power. We need you. So we pray
over the technology. We pray over each and every person listening,
(04:08):
all of our homes, lands, families, pets, possessions, everything that
you've given us and entrusted to us. Holy Spirit, do
whatever you want to do. You have the freedom we
asked this to do all these things in your shoe
his name. Amen.

The manner presented is exclusive, cannot be repeated overused without permission.
The date of this broadcast serves as a registered date
of the following information. All right, get those bibles open,
get ready if you're following along on the scripture list,
(05:13):
there's a lot to cover, so let's get started. Yesterday,
while praying, I heard the Lord say, I just kind
of casually said this. Everyone wants the Golden Age, but
they don't want what it takes to make the gold.
And then he added, they want diamonds, but they don't
want to endure the pressure it takes to create them,
(05:38):
and I knew that's what he wanted me to talk about.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
We're only going to talk about the gold part of
it tonight. There's no metal mentioned more frequently in the
Old Testament than gold. The arc and the articles of
the tabernacle were covered in it. Kings built thrones and
overlaid them with gold. It was valued and used because
(06:03):
of its rarity, its beauty, and its workability. It can
be melted without harm and is extremely malleable. The new
Jerusalem that we talk about coming down is described as
made of gold. Revelation twenty one will start with verse fourteen.
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and
(06:26):
on them were the names of the twelve apostles of
the Lamb. And he who talked with me, he being
the angel, had a gold red to measure the city,
its gates, and its walls. The city's laid out as
a square. Its length is as great as its breath.
And he measured the city with the reed twelve thousand furlongs.
(06:49):
Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured
its wall one hundred and forty four cubits, according to
the measure of a man, that is of an angel.
The construction of its wall was of jasper, and the
city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of
(07:12):
the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds
of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire,
the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth Sardonyx, the
sixth Sardius, the seventh chrystiolite, the eighth barrel of the
(07:32):
ninth topaz, the tenth chryso praise, and the eleventh jacinth,
and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls.
Each individual gate of one solid pearl. In the street
of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. That
(07:54):
will be the true Golden Age when the city comes down,
and those of us who had been redeemed and transformed
in that blink of an eye, we'll have access to it,
and all of the earth will see it. What is
the golden age, It's a period of great happiness, prosperity,
(08:16):
and achievement. The millennium will be man's true golden age.
It'll be the pinnacle, the glory, the hey day of
our existence. But you know, there's always a counterfeit. The
enemy is always running a parallel tract. The counterfeit of
(08:38):
that was Babylon, the golden city mentioned in Isaiah fourteen.
We see at Isaiah fourteen, starting verse three, it shall
come to pass in the day of the Lord gives
you rest from your sorrow and from your fear and
the hard bondage in which you were made to serve.
That you will take up this proverb against the king
(08:59):
of Babylon and say, how the oppressor has ceased, The
golden city has ceased, The Lord has broken the staff
of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, He who
struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke, He
who ruled the nations and anger is persecuted, and no
(09:22):
one hinders. The whole earth is at rest and quiet.
They break forth and singing, well, we know that can't
happen till the King comes back, So that golden age,
it'll signify a period of peace, harmony, stability, and even
prosperity the kind that he ordains. Peace and harmony prevailed
(09:49):
will prevail, and that the people won't have to work
to feed themselves because the earth will provide the food
in abundance. Sounds pretty good to me. We don't have
that right now. That can't be had in the natural,
that can't be obtained without the Lord delivering it. Isaiah eleven,
(10:09):
verse one. Then a shoot, then the Messiah will spring
forth from the stock of Jesse, from Jesse David's father,
and a branch from his roots will bear fruit, and
the spirit of the Lord will rest on him, the
spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might,
(10:29):
the spirit of knowledge, and of the reverential, obedient fear
of the Lord. And he capital h will delight in
the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by
what his eyes see, nor make decisions by what his
ears here. But with righteousness and justice. He will judge
(10:51):
the poor and decide with fairness for the downtrodden of
the earth. And he shall strike the earth with the
rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips.
He shall slay, shall slay, shall slay the wicked. At
that moment I saw the vision Lord gave me many
many years ago, of him landing on the mount of Olives,
(11:14):
and the mountains splitting, and him speaking, and as he
spoke the air begin to coaculate like a nuclear blast,
and hit the evil of the earth with the voice
of the Lord, with his breath, picking up verse five.
And righteousness will be the belt around his loins, and
(11:35):
faithfulness to belt around his waist. And the wolf will
dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down
with the young goat. The calf and the young lion
and the fatted steer together, and a little child will
lead them, and the cow and the bear will graze together.
Their young will lie down together. The lion will eat
(11:58):
straw like the ox, and the nursing child will play,
will safely play over the whole of the cobra, and
the weaned child will put his hand in the viper's
den and not be hurt. They will not hurt or
destroy in all my holy mountain. For the earth will
be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the
(12:20):
waters cover the sea. What an amazing time that will be.
Only the King can bring the golden age. But to
do that there must be a purification process first. The
(12:44):
refining of gold is a figure, a metaphor for great purity,
or a test of steadfastness. Job twenty three, verse ten
ten through twelve. But he knows the way that I take.
Job said, when he has tested me, I shall come
forth as gold. My foot has held fast to his steps.
(13:09):
I have kept his way and not turned aside. I
have not departed from the commandment of his lips. I
have treasured the words of his mouth more than my
necessary food. Proverbs seventeen three. The refining pot is for silver,
and the furnace for gold. But the Lord tests the heart.
(13:33):
We cannot see the end of this journey without the
refiner's fire. We cannot see it without him testing our heart.
Malachi three, verse two. But who can endure the day
of his coming? And who can stand when he appears?
For he is like a refiner's fire and the launderer's soap.
(13:58):
The New Living Translation Study Bible says, the dross of
the people's wickedness must be burned away by the fires
of divine testing and chastisement. The blazing fire and the
strong soap signify the testing by smelting and cleansing by
(14:18):
laundering that would restore Israel's faithfulness to its covenant with
the Lord. Oh, that has to happen. The second coming
of the Messiah will bring judgment and purification. The two
images the refiner's fire and the launderer's soap. The New
(14:41):
King James Study Bible says, our vivid illustrations of the
purifying process. The Savior King himself will sift all people
to prepare for his reign. So, using that metaphor to
ribe the process of spiritual purification and growth means we
(15:05):
have to go through trials and challenges. Oh no, Richard,
you lost me there. I got to click off. Now
now we have to I went through one this morning.
As I started working on this, I had an Amazon
return and I didn't want to wait till the end
of the week, and so I just got dressed, got
(15:26):
my keys, my wallet, put on my hat and my
you know, my glasses, sunglasses, and got in the car
and drove there. And as I'm in the car coming
out of the driveway, and we have a little bit
of traffic about nine am in the morning, and there
were a couple of cars there, but there was a space,
and just as I'm about to pull out, this woman
(15:48):
who was eating a glazed donut and really shouldn't have
been eating a glazed donut, just slowly fills in the
gap and blocks me. And now I'm looking at her,
and she looks at me, jumping on her glaze, don't
it and then just looks back to where she's going.
(16:09):
And that didn't sit well with me. I had a
reaction to it and immediately realized, well, some draws just
rose to the top on that one. We're always going
to be tested, We're always going to be in the
purification process, so through difficult experiences to remove the impurities
(16:32):
in our character. He's making us stronger and more like him.
But not everybody sees this as a good thing. And
aim is five eighteen. He says, woe to you who
desire the day of the Lord. For what good is
the day of the Lord? To you? It'll be darkness
(16:53):
and not light. See many don't understand, even those that should,
that to get to the good stuff, we got to
go through the difficult things. We want the golden age,
but we don't want the refiner's fire one Peter one,
(17:19):
starting verse six. In this you greatly rejoice, though now
for a little while, if need be, you have been
grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith,
being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it
is tested by fire, may be found to praise honor
(17:42):
and glory at the revelation of Jesus, the Messiah, whom,
having not seen you love, though now you don't see
him yet, believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full
of glory, receiving the end of your faith the salvation
of your souls. As the purity of the gold is
(18:05):
brought forth by intense heat, so the reality and purity
of our faith are revealed as a result of the
fiery trials we face. Ultimately the testing of our faith.
(18:25):
It not only demonstrates our final salvation. But it develops
our capacity here and now to bring glory to the Lord,
so that when he comes into his kingdom we can
reign with him. But to have that, you can't live
(18:47):
a lukewarm life. You've got to live in the fire,
and every aspect of you has got to be hot
passion for him. The lukewarm Church and Revelation fourteen got
chastised by the Lord for that. And to the Angel
(19:07):
of the Church of the Laodiceans, right these things, says
the Amen, the faithful and true witness the beginning of
the creation of God. I know your works that you're
neither hot nor you're You're neither cold nor hot. I
could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because
(19:32):
you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will
vomit you. I will projectiles spew you out of my mouth.
There's a visual for you. Because you say I am rich,
have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and do
not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.
(19:56):
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in
the fire, that you may be rich in white garments,
that you may be clothed, that the shame of your
nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with
eyes have so that you may see as many as
I love. I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold,
(20:25):
I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears
my voice and opens the door, I will come in
to him and dine with him, and he with me.
To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with
me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat
down with my father on his throne. He who has
(20:46):
an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to
the churches later to say. It was forty five miles
southeast of Philadelphia, ninety miles east of Ephesus. It was.
It's a wealthy city with thriving banks, a textile industry,
and a medical school. But the church and layer to
(21:08):
see it was spiritually self deluded because of its wealth
of believed it needed nothing, when in truth it was
spiritually impoverished. The Nelson Study Bible says the church believed
that because it had expensive garments, it was well clothed,
(21:30):
when it was really spiritually naked. It believed that physical
sight indicated the ability to see spiritually when it was
actually blind to spiritual realities. We have entire denominations like this,
We have huge mega buildings filled with churches that are
(21:52):
like this. But God's love for his children is manifested
in the rebuke and chastening when they go astray. Proverbs three,
verses eleven and twelve. My son, do not despise the
chastening of the Lord, nor detest his correction. For whom
(22:13):
the Lord loves, he corrects, just as a father the son,
and whom he delights. Deudonomy eight five, speaking to the
children of Israel's as he laid out his commandments to them.
You should know in your heart that as a man
chastens his son, so the Lord, your God, chastens you.
(22:35):
He does it at love. He does it at a correction,
getting you to where you need to be, not allowing
you to stay where you are. This whole concept of well,
come as you are. God loves you just as you are. Yes,
that's right, but He also loves you too much to
let you stay that way. The attent of the Lord's
(22:56):
discipline is for our prophet. It's for our good that
we may be partakers of His holiness. And I get it,
this is not an easy subject. But I believe that
we are in a transformation process, the way of a
worm becomes the chrystalist, that becomes the butterfly. We're in
(23:17):
the chrystalist stage right now, and we're about to burst
forth in His glory and his beauty to become that
which we were ordained to be. But it's going to
be a struggle Hebrews twelve or seven. If you endure chasing,
and God deals with you as sons, For what son
(23:39):
is there whom a father does not chase it? And
even though it says just sons, sons and daughters, families, children,
however you want to hear it. But if you are
without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you
are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human
fathers who corrected us, and we made them respect. Shall
(24:03):
we not much more readily being subjected being subjection to
the father of the spirits? And live for they? Indeed,
for a few days chasing has seemed best to them.
But he for our profit, that we may be partakers
of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful
(24:25):
for the present, but painful. Nevertheless, it yields the peaceable
fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
If you haven't struggled, you're not in his process. The
proper response to God's loving discipline is to repent, to
(24:49):
change whatever wrong outlook we have and make it right.
To stop going in the direction where we're going, to
be zealous, and move a away from the dangerous, lukewarm
spiritual state for which He chastised the church and layer
to see you believe these believers needed to change, change
(25:14):
your perspective and seek the spiritual riches of the ultimate overcomer.
Now something interesting there I want to share with you.
In Revelation three twenty the hold they stand at the
door knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him,
(25:35):
and he with me. Whose door is he knocking at,
sure is seeking entrance into his own church for the
purpose of renewed fellowship. Often people use that scripture as
Messiah knocking at the door of an unbeliever's heart. Put
(25:59):
the content from which it is given makes that improbable
he's speaking to the church, and what he says is
at the end of it, to him who overcomes, meaning
you let me in, we dine together. To him who overcomes,
(26:21):
I will grant to sit with me on my throne.
These believers that he's speaking to were called the change
your perspective and become overcomers, and in doing so, a faithful, renewed,
(26:41):
pure heart would bring a share of his throne. It's
the overcomers that will rule and reign with him, not everybody.
At the end, we don't all get to rule and rain.
We don't all get those assignments over the nations. The overcomers,
(27:04):
the ones who have been allowed to sit with him. Now,
there were seven churches in Revelation Chapter two Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamus, Dieterra, Sartists, Philadelphia, Leodicea,
(27:25):
and many have taught those were examples of churches. I
believe all seven churches are existing right now, simultaneously. And
when Revelation was written, it was written for the end,
and when it became applicable, it applies to his church collectively.
(27:51):
The church needs to wake up, it needs to repent,
it needs to get right with him. For the time
has arrived for judgment to begin with the household of God.
And if it begins with us, what would it be
at the end of those who do not respect, or
(28:12):
believe or obey the good news the Gospel of God?
And if the righteous apparely saved, what will become of
the godless and wicked first Peter four seventeen eighteen one
Corinthians eleven thirty one to thirty two. For if we
searchingly examined ourselves, detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition,
(28:40):
we should not be judged and penalty decreed by divine judgment.
But when we fall short and are judged by the Lord,
we are disciplined and chastened, so that we may not
be finally be condemned to eternal judgment along with the world.
(29:00):
The purification process has to happen. The purification of the
church precedes the divine judgment of the world. John fifteen
to two Read letters. Every branch of me that does
not bear fruit he takes away. In every branch that
(29:22):
bears fruit, he prunes that it may bear more fruit.
There's nothing comfortable about the pruning process of him taking
things out of your life. Of cutting things off that
don't belong and don't help our growth. But it's absolutely vital.
(29:46):
The judgment of the church is also the purification process.
To evaluate our works, what we've done, look at it.
You know, if you have the list of scriptures, first
thing you're going to think about as well. That's a
lot of scriptures, Richard. But here's what I want you
(30:07):
to say. I wants to see all the scriptures that
pertain to this one singular topic. How important it was
from Genesis to Revelation that the writers of the Bible
hit on this topic. One Corinthians, iie, starting verse nine,
(30:28):
but we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field.
You are God's building according to the grace of God
which was given to me as a wise master builder.
I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it.
But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
(30:49):
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which
is laid, which is Jesus the Messiah. He is the foundation. Now,
if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood,
hay straw, each one's work will become clear. For the
(31:10):
day capital d will declare it because it'll be revealed
by fire, and the fire will test each one's works
of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he
has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but
(31:31):
he himself will be saved. Yet so as through fire,
again getting back to the overcomers and different responsibility and
different rewards, different crowns. Well, he isn't a respector of persons.
He is a respector of relationship. And in those relationships
(31:53):
he looks at what did you do in your relationship
with me? What did you do for me? What did
you do because you love me, not because you are
obligated to or you grit your teeth and grinded and
complained about it. Paul had established the church in corinth
(32:15):
on a foundation of Messiah and on nothing else. The gold, silver,
precious stones, the wood, the hay, and the straw. Those
are the building materials that refer to the quality of
the work done by the Corinthians, and possibly also to
their motivations for the kind of doctrines that they taught.
(32:38):
Fire proves the quality of gold also consumes wood, hay,
and stubble, wood, hay and straw. Some good work done
by people is just really self centered aggrandizement. Hey, look
at me trying attention to themselves. The true value of
(33:02):
such service will become obvious to all in the day
of God's judgment on his church. And I believe judgment
has begun at the House of the Lord. It's not
where it will be, but it's begun. The believers study
Bible says only those who have the proper spiritual foundation
(33:23):
upon which to construct a life will be able to
appear at the Bama, the Bama's seat, the foundation of Messiah. Now,
the other thing that came to me while I was
working on this today, I want to share with you. You
do with it what you will. The church it's judged
(33:44):
when it's taken in the rapture. You've been deemed worthy.
Your name is already written in a Lamb's book of life.
He's come to take you to the marriage Supper of
the Lamb. Your judgment happens then in there, your rewards
then and there, not at the end, not at the
final judgment when the whole world stands before him, and
(34:04):
some go to the left and some go to the right.
The church has already been deemed accepted. So once the
foundation has been laid. And I hope that I all
these years of anyone that has stuck with me, have
built a solid foundation on Yashia. Believers build whatever they
(34:27):
want to believe, small bag, superstructure. Whatever they build throughout
the years, that God alous. And that structure may consist
of the valuable and the lasting gold, silver, precious stones,
or it may be unworthy and fleeting wood, hay and straw.
And I believe there are many famous, well known, some
(34:50):
became infamous, well known preachers and teachers even of the day,
whose works will not survive the fire. On the day
of Massi's return, all works will be declared and revealed
by fire. And I believe that that fire is his penetrating,
(35:17):
purging gaze of his eyes. And we know that they
are eyes so fire. Revelation one fourteen. His head and
hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and
his eyes like a flame of fire. Revelation two eighteen.
He introduces himself to the Church of Dieterea, the corrupt church.
(35:40):
These things says the son of God, who has eyes
like a flame of fire, in his feet like fine breasts.
His eyes will reveal everything. They see everything. So the
works that we do as believers, which are permanent and valuable,
(36:01):
will abide, and that will become the basis of our
reward of the crown that we get. I believe of
the appointment that we get. The works which are worthless,
whether improperly motivated or for whatever reason not up to
the standard, are going to be destroyed under the fire
(36:24):
of his eyes, under the fire of his gaze. The
reward may be limited, but they'll still be saved. The
judgments not to determine their salvation or eternal destiny, but
to determine their rewards. You know, when we first started
(36:47):
doing the Bible study back in twenty ten or so,
I'd have to go find out when I taught on
the crowns. I actually had done it in Tallahassee when
we had the fellowship, and I didn't realize what the
crowns were or what they represented. How many there were
(37:09):
I taught on seven. Some people say there's eleven, some
people say there's more. But you get rewarded, which makes sense.
You get rewarded for what you do for the Lord,
what you do out of love. What you do, that's
the last thing. And you won't see that reward here,
(37:29):
and now it's later. There are many out there that
think the reward is here now. So I get to
fly the jets and live in the mansions and where
the jewelry, and have the best life now, And now
your reward is later. I believe those men and women
will stand before God. He'll look at them and say,
(37:53):
you spent your inheritance. First John three, starting verse one.
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon
us that we should be called children of God. Therefore
the world does not know us, because it did not
know Him beloved. Now we are children of God, and
(38:17):
it has not yet been revealed what we shall be.
But we know that when he is revealed, we shall
be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself
just as he is pure. Everyone that has this hope
(38:43):
of seeing him and being with him, the hope resting
on him cleanses, purifies himself just as he is pure, chaste, undefiled, guiltless.
Everyone who commits practices. Everyone who commits and practices sin
guilty of lawlessness for what that's what sin is, lawlessness,
(39:07):
the breaking, the violating of God's law by transgressional neglect,
being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and his will.
If you have that hope of seeing him, of being
received by him as a child of God, then you
(39:34):
purify yourself, which indicates fire pure Ephesians five twenty seven.
That he being issued, may present her the bride to
the Father to himself a glorious church, not having spot
(39:55):
or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should
be holy and with that out blemish, without fault, without
wrinkle or blemish. The church declesisia, the called out ones.
That's what it is. It's not a building, it's a
(40:15):
people that have been called out of the world, called
out of sin, called out of darkness. One church, one God,
one Lord. Interestingly enough, that same word ecclesia e kk
(40:36):
l e g I said sia, is the same word
used by the Greeks for their assembly of citizens who
were quote called out to transact the business of the city.
Isn't that interesting? So in many ways the church represents
(40:57):
both definitions. One call out of the world, call that
a sin, call that a darkness. And the other called
out the transact business to just simply be an assembly
a gathering. No, that's not what I am, and that's
(41:18):
not what I want to be. I'm a part of
the glorious Church Huron filled with his glory, reflecting the
glory of God two Corinthians three eighteen. But we all
with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror, the glory
(41:40):
of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image,
from glory to glory.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Just.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
As by the Spirit of the Lord. All of us
with an unveiled uncovered face, because we continued to behold
in the Word of God and the Holy Spirit the
mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured
(42:11):
into his very own image in ever increasing splendor, and
from one degree of glory to another. It's brighter and brighter.
For this comes from the Lord, who is the spirit.
You see that this refers back to Moses coming off
of Mountsinai and his DNA, having absorbed the glory of
(42:34):
the Lord, him radiating it. But you see, we receive
something Moses never knew. See, he had one that fades,
and it did fade. Boy, as we become more and
more like Messiah, reflecting the glory of the Lord. We
have one that does not fade. But you have to
(42:58):
stay near the flame. You have to stay in his glory.
Divine glory in this present life leads to our being
like Messiah in the next. We are transformed into something
that can reflect his glory to the world. So what
(43:22):
an incredible quality of love the Father has given bestowed
on us that we, you and I should be permitted
to be named and called and counted the children of God.
And so we are the reason the world does not
(43:43):
recognize or acknowledge us. It doesn't recognize or acknowledge him.
So why should it, we, beloved brothers and sisters, even
here and now, as God's children. It's not yet disclosed
us or made clear what we shall be hereafter. But
(44:06):
we know something. We know that when he comes, when
you cry Maranatha and he answers and it is manifested,
we shall, as God's children, resemble and be like him,
(44:27):
For we shall see him just as he really is.
We will reflect his glory. And anyone who has this
hope resting on them, resting on him, cleanses purifies themselves,
just as He is pure chased undefiled, guiltless. You see,
(44:49):
in ancient times of refining process that got the gold
to this point was used to purified precious metals such
as gold and silver, and the metal would be heated
in a fiery crucible until it melted, allowing the impurities
(45:11):
to rise to the surface, different elements to different consistencies,
and be removed scooped out. This process required skill and patience,
as the refiner had to carefully control the temperature to
(45:34):
ensure that the metal was not damaged. The refiner's fire
therefore symbolizes the trials and tribulations that God uses to
purify us, to purify his people, gently removing the impurities
and refining our character to reflect his holiness. The refiner's
(45:57):
fire is not meant to destroy us, to purify us
the process of transformation where we as believers are tested
and refined to become more like Messiah, and He desires that.
He desires his people to be holy and set apart
as He is holy and is set apart. It's the
(46:21):
testament to God's commitment to sanctifying his people to prepare
them for service and for eternal life with him. Missionary
Amy Carmichael writes in her book Learning of God, she
took a group of children to a traditional goldsmith in India.
(46:42):
In the middle of a charcoal fire was a curved
roof tile, and on the tile was a mixture of salt,
tamar and fruit and brick dust. Embedded in this mixture
was gold, and as the fire devoured the mixture, the
(47:04):
gold became pure. Goldsmith took the gold out with tongs,
and if it were not pure enough, he replaced it
in the fire with a new mixture. But each time
the gold was replaced, the heat was increased. And the
(47:26):
group asked, how do you know when the gold is purified?
And he replied, when I can see my face in it.
When the gold reflected the goldsmith, he knew it was
done until we reflect him. Until he looks at us
(47:53):
and sees his own face. He's going to keep us
in the fire. How do you know? And the gold
is purified when I see my face. I don't like
trials and tribulations. I mean, even the little one like
(48:16):
this morning revealed some dross. I was offended by the
lack of courtesy of this person, who again, it's the
nicest way I can say it is she should not
have been eating a glazed doughnut, but it was a
(48:43):
few minutes of my time taken from me. Shouldn't have
annoyed me, but it did. We're all in process, and
it takes the fire to reveal it. Leviticus eleven forty four.
For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore
(49:05):
consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy. Fry am holy consecration,
setting apart one Peter one, studying verse fifteen. But as
the one who called you is holy, you yourselves also
(49:26):
be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.
For it is written you shall be holy fry. I
am holy. And if you call upon him as your father,
who judges each one impartially according to what he does,
then you should conduct yourselves with true reverence. Throughout the
(49:48):
time of your temporary residence on the earth, whether long
or short. You must know, you must recognized that you
you are redeemed. You are ransomed from the useless, fruitless
way of living inherited by tradition from your forefathers, not
(50:10):
with corruptible things such as silver and gold, but you
were purchased with the precious blood of the Messiah, like
that of a sacrificial lamb without blemish or spot, holy
(50:32):
set apart, separate, living a life dedicated totally to God,
and separate called out from the sin of this world.
It's so obvious that that's what we should be doing,
(50:54):
and the enemy does everything it can, using every influence
it can to keep us from doing that, to keep
us focused on the external, like the church and lay
to see a thriving banks. You've got all these great things,
(51:15):
you dress in expensive clothing. Everything on the outside is great,
but not on the inside. We need to be checked
right now by the Holy Spirit, because the purification of
the bride allows him to come get us, to get
them and take us out of harm's way. He's not
(51:37):
coming for a wrinkled lamb. He's not coming for a
blemish bride. He's coming for us clean. We have to
be ready, we have to be prepared, we have to
(52:00):
be holy and purified. We've got to let them do it.
Two Peter three, verse eleven. Since all these things are
to be destroyed, all these natural things that have be
destroyed in this matter, what kind of people ought to
be in the meantime? And holy behavior in a pattern
of daily life that sets you apart as a believer
(52:22):
and in godliness, displaying profound reverence towards our awesome God
while you are earnestly looking for and awaiting the coming
of the day of God. What holy and godly lives
should we live? What should our behavior be? I mean,
(52:43):
if I had and I didn't do it thankfully, if
I'd gotten mad at that woman this morning and acted
out and severely tarnished my witness, that wouldn't be a
display of reverence towards God. I would have been acting
(53:03):
in the flesh, a daily pattern of life in holy
behavior and godliness. That's what we strive for, that's what
we desire, that's what we want see. The believer's living
hope is based on the new birth, being born again,
(53:24):
and that hope should lead to practical obedience and growth
and holiness. Now I'm not talking the letter of the law.
I'm talking this spirit, the heart of the law. Golden rule.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
(53:45):
You shall love the Lords your God with all your heart,
with all your mind, with all your soul and your strength,
and love your neighbors yourself. But you can't live the
golden rule and you can't live in the Golden Age
unless we conduct ourselves in practical obedience to His word
(54:06):
and desiring holiness. This holy living, and I believe that's
the call for twenty twenty five is motivated by a
desire to please him, a faith in him, revering him.
(54:28):
And we don't take our redemption that he paid for
with his life, with his blood for granted, a price
was paid, he endured paying the price. Oh what a
horrible price it was. We could endure the Refiner's Fire.
It's actually a song I found it online called the
(54:49):
Refiner's Fire by a Canadian named Brian Dorkson. These are
the lyrics that I'm going to leave with you. Purify
my heart, Let me be as gold and precious silver.
Purify my heart, Let me be as gold, pure gold,
(55:09):
the Refiner's Fire. My heart's one desire is to be holy,
set apart for you, Lord. I choose to be holy,
set apart for you, my Master, ready to do your will.
Purify my heart, cleanses me from within, make me holy.
(55:31):
Purify my heart, cleanses me from my sin deep within,
Ready to worship, ready to follow, ready to do your will.
And I'd only add to that, Brian ready to shine
your glory. Father Abbah Papa, help us through the fire
(56:00):
of your holy spirit in us. Reveal to us right
now anything that is not of you. Reveal to us
the dross that is still there. We haven't got our
redeemed bodies. We have not been completely transformed, though we're ready,
(56:23):
we desire it. Until then, keep purifying us, keep cleansing us,
keep dipping it out. And if you have to turn
up the heat, so be it. Change us. Let us
be ready. Let us be what you need us to be,
(56:48):
not what we think you want, not what we want
to be. Let us be what you need us to
be in this hour, at this time. Speak to my
brothers and speak to me. You've given me some dreams
and visions that are going to take me being pure
(57:11):
and holy and set apart to you. Otherwise the enemy
is going to use those very same things to seduce
and distract, as he's done with so many. Purify our heart. Lord,
let us be as gold, pure gold. And I ask
(57:36):
all these things, and you show its name. Amen. Before
I close out, I give you a lot of scripture
and a lot to feast on. If you have questions,
please ask. You can email me, go to Firewall talk
(57:57):
radio dot com use the contact, but don't just well,
I'll figure it out, ask questions, reach out. That's the
point of the porch. Though we can't all be together
in the same place for now, we can still connect
(58:18):
through the wonders of technology and as soon as I
get the whole live interactive where we can interact with
each other figured out, both in equipment, set up and cost.
This is what we have right now. Take advantage of
it freely. Has been given to me, freely I give.
(58:43):
Therefore you should freely receive. May the Lord bless you
and keep you made. The Lord make his face to
shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the
Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Give you Shallom. I'm Richard Ground. This has been the
