(00:00):
Recording. Why how that hurt myears? Now? Well, you know
that's what happens. I mean,I was a little rude. I did
it like nonchalantly. You did iton purpose, and I find that like
extremely rude. You tapped it sixtimes. I tapped twice. Hm.
That's there's a joke there. ButI'm gonna leave it alone. We haven't

(00:26):
done this in like four weeks.Hasn't been that long. It has been
that long. I realized that Ireally miss recording with you. Oh,
we're gonna make this a seminental moment. Don't don't do that. You know
you had, we had a momentand you just ruined it. How do

(00:47):
I ruin it? You just becauseyou missed pronounced the words you're talking about.
You think that's how you say it. You say the words like that.
Oh gosh, Now I'm doing avoice. I'm doing a bit.
Oh no, what this sea is? What is happening? Taking another four

(01:07):
week break just like that looks likethat. I'm done. It's like we're
one a minute and fifteen seconds oftheir recordings, Like, I'm done.
I can't do this, and we'rethem creating is a welcome door to fresh

(01:42):
beat context. It is here wediscussed insightful views on a routine bi weeekly
basis, over the incredibly nerdy thingswe can't stop talking about. To take
you on this doork you're right, are your host? Josh? Yeah,
I've got nothing this time. Thisis what happens when you're gone to four
weeks continue please and myself, Jay, So why don't you take a seat
to back for We're here to doall the heavy lifting. It is about
to get nerdy after a hiatus ofsorts. This is episode ninety eight,

(02:07):
part you know, not like thecard game. I made that joke once
before, but I'll make it again. It's fine. That's what happens when
you're away for four weeks. Yeah. Yeah, this is the episode where
one of us got a PS fiveand the other one is left out in
the cold. Spoilers, I gotone. Sorry there, buddy, But
you know, if it's any consolation, there's a lot of people are still

(02:29):
waiting. How is that a consolation, you know, trying to see the
bright side of this. No,no, that's not a thing. Okay,
let's move on. Yeah. Yeah. As of November fifteenth, Sony
and Microsoft have released their next genconsoles. Yeah, and it's you know,
it's been kind of interesting, likeconsoles of coming going just disappearing in

(02:51):
a matter of split seconds. Youknow, all those pomps out there.
Yeah. So in the United Stateswe are dealing with the pandemic, and
twenty twenty has shown us that thereare still opportunities for companies to improve lots
of things like like digital shopping cardsfor instance. To be clear, just

(03:13):
to be clear, here, didtry to get one for you? I
know, I mean I really tryto. I know you did. It
was in the cart and yeah,it was Matt like split second, Yeah,
there were split seconds. Was basicallyhours for a lot of people.

(03:34):
Would you agree? So Target,Best Buy, Game Stoff, and even
the official Sony website are currently soldout and have been since the twelve I
just don't know why or understand atall in twenty twenty, why we have
the words sold out anywhere? Itdoesn't even make sense. But you got

(03:55):
one? I did? I didso staring at we have yeah, yeah,
yeah, I know. So let'sdo this because there's a lot of
things to talk about here. Wehave the PS five news do and cover
as well as the usual suspects oftopics that we typically talk about, Marvel

(04:15):
news and other things that we alwaysenjoy talking about. As we say in
the intro, we do talk abouta lot of things we do. We
do, but sometimes we go over. But sometimes what would you like to
talk about? First? Yeah,so you know what I mean? This
this is the new hotness as theycall it right the PlayStation Sinco. No
one says that except for Will Smith. I mean, you know, Will

(04:36):
Smith says, So it's fine,it's cool, you're dating yourself. I
just want you to know that.Listen, it happens, all right.
And I know I just just letme have this. I love you all
the same. I just want youto know it. No one says that,
just let me have it. Pleaseyou you you have it all right?

(05:00):
And I do have the PS fivelet's go. Uh yeah, No,
this thing is first of all, pictures don't do this thing justice in
terms of how big it is.It's a big baby's huge. Like I
took it out of the like thebox is big, first of all.
And then I took it out ofthe box and I'm just like, what

(05:21):
is this giant piece of technology thatI just purchased? Um, it is
very big and like, are wegonna be getting an unboxing video? I
know we did that once, wedidn't. We did that for the PS
fur prom I was honestly going todo it for the PS five and I
may do a full, like littlereview like I did for the PS Classic.

(05:43):
But however, the reason I didn'tdo it for the PS five is
for one reason and one reason only. I was too excited. So I
just unboxed it and put it ontounder my TV stand and just started playing.
So sorry, Bob to the opportunityfor lots of men and women and

(06:06):
unicorns to see this, this purejoy of the unboxing. Yeah, I
was. I was too excited,so like, even it's funny. Actually,
one of my friends texted me andhe was like, listen, I
expect an unboxing video from you,and I'm like, yeah, I got
you, I got you. I'lldo it. I'll do it, And
yeah, I was too excited thatnot only did I not do an unboxing

(06:30):
video, I forgot to text thisperson and then a few hours later they're
like, so where's the video.I'm like about that, I've pissed everybody
off. Yeah, not only doyou get it before a lot of people
would like to have it, butyou rob us of an unboxing video and
those things. I'm like cooking. You know, you've put it in the

(06:51):
oven. You can't take it outtoo soon. You can't take it out
too late. Yeah, I mean, you can get another one, but
like the launch has passed, ithas passed. If we get an X
five, you decided to get anXbox, there's no one boxing video for
that, Like no one's unboxing atPS four right now. I mean,
I'm not going to get an Xboxbecause I have something called a PC that

(07:11):
plays every single game that Xbox.I was giving you an example. Yeah
you're saying, yeah, but it'snot happening. Just just sorry. There's
no reason. I am fully confidentthat you will not own an Xbox.
But this generation, this generation, yeah got it, Yes, totally got
it, really got it. Soyeah, I'm sorry that I robbed everyone
of this unboxing video. However, selfish, I was too excited. Really,

(07:35):
I'm glad to get it. Timelisten. So here's here's the thing.
Here's the reason why I was soexcited was because the thing came out
on the twelfth. Fed x appwas like, yeah, it's out for
shipping or whatever. It's tracking andall this stuff. I'm like, cool.

(07:56):
So I said I was gonna getit today, So I'm gonna get
it today. It says it willbe delivered by eight pm tonight. Eight
pm rolls around, this thing's stillnot at my house. I'm like,
what is happening right now? Andso I contact that X and they're like,
oh, the latest thing we haveis that it's in your area.
And I'm like okay, cool. And then I contact Sony and they're like,
well, it's according to us.It says it's on the truck,

(08:16):
so you know, look out forthat. I'm like, it's eight thirty.
What truck delivers past eight thirty? And they're like it'll be there,
don't worry. I just keep aneye on on your door so you don't
miss it. And I'm like okay, And by a forty five I was
like, like ten minutes later,I was like, this is not It's
not coming today. It's just nothappening. And so I wake up the

(08:37):
next morning. I wake up like, because I know sometimes they'll do like
early morning deliveries. I woke upat like eight thirty waiting to see and
I check the app, and theapps like, oh, it's out for
delivery. I'm like yes, andit's as it'll be there again my APM
tonight. I'm like, crap, okay whatever. So once I'm up,
I can't go back to sleep. So I'm up and then I started playing.

(09:00):
I was playing PIS four that wasplaying Goes to Tsushima because I was
planning that, and I'm waiting, waiting, waiting until finally three o'clock rolls
around and I see the FedEx truckpull up outside, and I'm like,
this is it. This is themoment I'm hyping myself up. He drops
off an envelope and that's it.Inside the envelope is Miles Morales. So

(09:24):
I'm like, okay, I haveMiles Morales. I don't have a console.
What is happening right now? Andthen I look at the app again
and it was two separate packages, one box for the PS five and one
box and one little envelope for MilesMorales, and they both said they were
out for delivery. So I'm like, did he did he not? Did
he just not grab the other boxfrom the truck because that what happened?

(09:48):
And then I kind of stock himas he's going back to the car,
and then he looks before he closedthe door. He's like, oh wait,
and then I realized he forgot theother box. But then he starts
bringing it over and then I gotsuper excited, and then what just happened
as I opened it up and thenI just wanted to play it, So
the FedEx driver almost went away withthe PlayStation, but then it became in

(10:13):
my possession and then I was veryexcited. So that is why there's there
was no non boxing video because itwas just too much hype and it happened
that being said, this thing isamazing, like it's really really cool.
I believe you. I believe you. I believe here, and I know

(10:35):
that everyone else is going to getit. But I mean we should also
talk about, you know, notjust the PS five itself, but the
craziness that people are going through withus, because there's just i'd say two
sides of this launch phase. Thereare the people that buy it and instantly

(10:56):
destroy it, either in front oflong line, but because it's twenty twenty
and there aren't lines, they're notsmashing it in front of you. But
they do take two online services likeYouTube and Twitter, and they will show
either pictures of the PS five ofgetting destroyed by water jets, dipping it
in water, setting it on fireXbox. There's people blowing vape smoke into

(11:24):
it. And I'm like, Idon't it bothers me. It bothers me.
Not because I want one, butlike I know, twenty twenty has
been challenging for a lot of people. And that console, that item,

(11:46):
it could be it could be anything, right, it could be a book,
it could be a console, itcould be an action figure. That
thing, whatever that thing is,can bring joy or some money. I
mean, you know people. Iknow people that would love to have that.
And if I have to wait aweek, a month, two months,

(12:09):
and like even until next year, fine, Like I can wait.
I got things that I gotta takecare of anyway. I have no problem
waiting. But it just seems wasteful, it does. It just seems super
wasteful for me. Yeah, Idon't understand, Like that's and it's not
even with the PS five console.Like people have been doing this for for
years, right with whatever the newhotness is. I'm gonna use that phrase

(12:33):
again, like whatever the new pieceof technology, whatever the new popular thing,
is um, somebody will inevitably purchaseit just to destroy it, which
I never personally understood. They don'tget it because A, I guess you'll

(12:54):
more than likely getting the money backover time because of how much how many
views the video gets and how manyads you roll on in and all that
stuff. But I'm like, wasit really worth it? Like how much
more money are you going to makeoff of that video? That it must
be worth it because they've they keepdoing it, right. I think the

(13:15):
first one I saw it getting destroyedwas the Wii. I don't remember a
PlayStation two getting destroyed, right,But I mean you would have seen another
news. You would have seen anotherYou wouldn't Internet, but you wouldn't have
seen that on the news. Yes, you would have. You wouldn't have
totally would have no, absolutely, because I mean so I do so put

(13:37):
it this way because there was Andthe reason for that is because things didn't
go as viral, like something likethat wouldn't have gone that viral in two
thousand and one. I personally,I mean, honestly, look, I
can't speak for the consoles of myyouth, right like Atari Atari was not
part of my youth. But Imy parents did have one, so ANYS

(14:03):
was the first one of my youthand the second genesis. Like, I
remember watching that on the news, and I remember watching people online, but
never did I ever see like someonerushing out of the of the store and
smashing it on the ground. Therewas no platform for that. It just
wasn't there. But come to withthousand one, Google has has established itself

(14:28):
and I don't know if I here'swhat I know. Yeh, Google is
responsible for a lot of the successthat exists out there, things like LinkedIn
and MySpace and Facebook and Twitter andall of these social media companies don't exist

(14:50):
without Google, right, So Googlekind of fosters and is the I guess
a tinder fire or the tudn't toexplode without Google. Nobody knows where anything
really is effectively, right, SoI do remember being able to kind of
see where people were residing. Andyou know, YouTube wasn't the thing,

(15:16):
but videos existed. Videos absolutely existed, And I know people were going crazy
for the PS two. I knowpros gunging at the time that the PS
two came out was a thing, but I don't think it got any more
expensive than say two thousand. Mostfive thousand dollars. I mean, now

(15:37):
you know the PS five. Ithink I've read an article that somebody was
selling it on the eBay for thirtytwo thousand dollars. Three two thousand dollars.
I mean, it's not my salary, but I mean that's somebody's salary.
And I you know, I don'tget that. I like, I
can understand being excited. I canunderstand being excited for something, but being

(16:00):
that excited like to pay any likea dollar over with the MSRP is or
anything like. No, I'll justwait, I'll just wait. It's it
doesn't make any sense to me.Yeah, but needless to say, I
mean, we're talking about the PlayStationtwo. I don't remember, you know,
this thing that happened, but Ido remember the first time I saw

(16:22):
somebody waited on this really long lineto get the Wii. They ran out
of the toys r us and therewere cameras back then. There weren't great
ones, but there were cameras.Nonetheless, you know, cell phone video
was starting to take off, andthis person ran out. He raised the
Wii back up in his hand,he opened it up, you know,

(16:44):
took the wie out, smashed iton the ground and you know, ran
away like, didn't even throw itout, Like I it was a weird
stunt, But clearly I must havemeant something because people are still doing it
today, So again, can It'ssomething that I just don't understand. So
I don't understand it either. Butwhat I would do in that situation is,

(17:07):
if I'm going to own a PSfive, I would just make sure
that somebody that I care about wouldget it. You know, absolutely,
we need a little bit more thingsto make us feel better during these times.
You know, this is one ofthose things. You know, this
is the reason why people are what'sthe word I'm looking for, clamoring over

(17:30):
it. Yeah, I suppose thisis the word. It brings positivity.
It does, it absolutely does. But yeah, aside from people destroying it.
You know, we were talking aboutbefore, you know, Sunday PlayStation
and the PS two. Funny storyabout the PS two. This is way

(17:51):
off base now because we haven't recordedfor four weeks, but did you know
that the PS two, somewhat withinthe last four weeks didn't turn twenty years
old? I did. I dida Instagram post on our at FTC podcast
on Instagram. I did a storywhere I made sure that mine still turns
on and it does. So,Okay, the fan goes crazy, but

(18:14):
she works. She she purs, she purs and wheezes. Yeah, but
she works. Yeah. I wasplaying Path and Neo on it because I
told you that I that I've purchasedPath and Neo for it, and I
was playing a little bit of thatand yeah, she purs, but she
works. I'm bad. I'm bad. So anything else about the PS five

(18:37):
that you'd like to talk? Imean, because I know a lot of
people have already finished Miles Morales.I think that's the big thing for me.
Well, as I'm scrolling through it, I just kind of scrolled past
certain things now because I know I'mgoing to start seeing like screenshots things and
yeah, and like, not alot of people have it, So I
don't understand the rush to push thatstuff out there because not a lot of

(18:59):
people, Like if you're to makean effective mean, the joke is,
or rather I guess the goal isyou want everybody to get it, but
you can't really rush to do thatif no one has the game exactly.
So I don't get it. YeahI don't either, Um, but yeah,
I mean so the console is veryquiet. It's very silent, and

(19:22):
because you know you have your PSfour, your your Launch PS four,
right you have that, you havea launch PS four right? Oh yeah
yeah yeah, and that thing likeif you're playing Kingdom Hearts or if you're
playing Last of Us, like thatthing goes off like a freaking jet engine.
Right. Nope, So Kingdom Heartsnot a problem. Last of Us
two big problem. Yeah, SoI thought it was Kingdom RS as well.

(19:45):
So yeah, when you play likesomething like Last of Us, if
I'm playing Kingdom RTS three, whichI suppose in an episode in the future
we have to talk about Kingdom Hearts. Yeah, that because I also did
get the new game Melody of Memories. Who yes, anyway, we'll talk
about it later. Anyways. Soin some parts in Kingdom Hearts three,

(20:10):
I can start to hear the fan, but that's after several hours of play.
But Last of Us two, handsdown, it's it just goes off.
Yeah yeah. Last so on theSpider Man pis for Pro and Last
of Us two, that thing startedgoing like crazy. And then I've been
playing Ghost to Sushima lately. That'sbeen going crazy, and Ghost to Sushima

(20:30):
as well, so, yeah,I was very surprised when I started playing
Miles Morales and the fan will rampup for like a quick second, like
I'll hear it and be like,oh, there goes, there it goes,
but then it'll stop. So it'slike it just needed that initial kick
for whatever reason, and then boom, it stays quiet, doesn't do anything.

(20:52):
Every once in a while you'll hearthe fan ramp up for just a
second or two and then I'll goback down, whereas the PA score would
be a constant, constant fan.Yeah, so I'm already impressed by that.
I've had bones that get because youknow, with many phones, I
would say virtually all phones. Itdoesn't matter what platform that you're using,

(21:17):
there's no fans in those. ButI do know that many phones, when
you start doing certain activities unders certainconditions, the phone will start to get
hot, very very hot, andthe battery will draining. So typically what
I do is, you know, because if I charge it, I notice
that when it's really hot like thatin the Battery dreams, if you plug

(21:38):
it in, the battery won't chargepast a certain point, Like if you're
at thirty and it's draining, youplug it in. It doesn't matter what
you're doing. It'll stay at thirtyand it will take a really long time
for it too down to twenty nine. I don't know if I'm supposed to
do this, but I usually puta nice cube on it where it's the
hottest. What. No, yeah, why because it cools it down.

(22:02):
You know what else cools it downtrying to get off? Yeah? Yeah,
I put an ice cube on it. And funnily enough, when I
do that, regardless or whatever itemthat I'm using, charging goes up.
Oh my god, charging it up, turn it off for like two minutes.
No, it'll be fine. Iceis way more fun. Yeah,

(22:23):
you know what else is way morefun When liquid gets in there. It's
not gonna get in there. Yousay that, I gotta covered anyway,
don't work. Electronics don't go together. Just saying so I don't put it
directly on the machine still doesn't gotogether anyway. Yeah, So it is

(22:45):
silent, it's really it's really nicein that regard um. The other piece
I will say is the controller. So you have a switch pro controller?
Correct? Yes? Yes, SoI will say, so you have You've
you've held both, You've held theduel Shock four the current PS four controller,

(23:06):
and you've held a Nintendo Switch program, I've held everything except for the
ye so the dual sense to meat least, and I'm hoping that you
will also feel the same when youeventually get your PS five. The Dual
Sense feels like a Nintendo Switch Procontroller, like that's that has that same
feeling in that regard. That meansit's also getting closer to feeling like an

(23:32):
Xbox controller. However, it's notas big, yeah, but I feel
like it's it's as it's still ascomfortable as a Duel Shop four. I
thought personally that the duel Shock fourwas a really fantastic controller. I know
people really prefer the Xbox Controller aswell, um, but the Dual Sense
I feel like it's definitely closed thatgap where it's like, Okay, these

(23:53):
are both one hundred percent comfortable foreverybody, like all around. So I'm
very happy with the controller. It'sweird that there is a mic built into
it, though, because I justhave that thing muted because I know I'm
not going to talk to anybody online. Um yes, no, I'm just

(24:14):
I'm gonna play a lot of singleplayer games on the P five play multiplayer.
I'm gonna do PC. Um,unless you know what about Gopham Knights.
Well, all right, Gopham Knights, Well, we can play together,
but that's I consider that as aquote unquote single player game. Um.
I know there's co op, butI still consider a second player.
But it's weird because the mic,the mute mike button is on the controller,

(24:37):
and then if you click it,there's like this just yellow bar that
just sits there indicating that it's youknow, muted. It just bothers me.
Not that I look down that oftento see it, but when I
do inevitably look down, it's like, why is that there? Um.
That's probably the only problem with it. In terms of like the haptic feedback

(24:59):
and stuff. It is really cool. I haven't played Astro's Playroom yet.
I'm going to play that soon becauseI've just been so enwrapped in Miles Morales.
Specifically, when you're swinging around thecity, as you press down the
trigger, like it gets harder topress obviously, not like a ridiculous amount,
but you feel the resistance on itas if you're you know, actually

(25:22):
swinging as Spider Man, or ifyou're actually pushing out web, which is
really really cool, right, andthen like the little tiny haptics, like
like whenever Miles is like typing ona computer, you'll feel like the individual
keys all over the controller and stufflike that. So that's really cool.
So it's not just like one bigrumble for everything. You actually feel like
individual taps and little things. Soit's definitely an improvement over the Rumble.

(25:48):
And yeah, I really really enjoyit. And then Miles Morales. Again,
we'll talk about this once we kindof get a little bit more in
depth into it, and again whenyou eventually get it. But Miles Morales
is just so so good, andI'm excited for what the second Spider Man
game will bring because of it,because I just know, I know,

(26:11):
like there's going to be missions whereyou're Peter and then there's going to be
some missions when you're Miles a SpiderMan, And this is gonna get a
little spoiler heavy. For the originalSpider Man game, they definitely tease the
symbio, I will not be surprisedif Peter gets the Black Suit and you

(26:33):
have to fight him as Miles, like, I would not be surprised if
that happens. We'll see. Imean, so there was somebody else that
I talked to who was actually luckyenough to get it this past weekend,
and I didn't finish Miles the story, so I don't know anything past that.
Gotcha. So one of the thingsthat my friend was talking about was

(26:55):
the headset. He had said thatis sold by Sony and number one,
the look, the design of it, the sound of it, the functionality
of it all. And he's playingmids Morales on the PS five and he

(27:15):
I guess the experience is not onlyenhanced by the dual sense, but it's
also, you know, enhanced bythe audio, by the audio of it
all. And you know, audiohas been like a mixed bag for me
from the PS three to the PSfour, you know, so maybe I
might get the headset for the PSfive. I'm really curious only because I

(27:37):
remember very specifically in Spiderman PS fourwhere you're fighting Electro. I mean,
I've played the game thoroughly, right, that was one of the only games
that I've platinumed, so I'm veryfamiliar with the What's that the only I
know and that will probably be thatway until probably the next you're gonna play

(28:00):
them. Everywhere else probably. Soanyway, when you're fighting Electro and the
power grid, there are moments whereyou're fighting, and because you're fighting what
is it Electro as well as Vulture, Clearly there's a lot of stuff that's
going on. So clearly the stuffthat's happening in front of you, the

(28:21):
left and right of you, butthere's also stuff happening behind you. But
you don't know what's happening behind youbecause games aren't designed that way. But
I'm imagining what the audio. Notonly will the nixt game start to help
you feel what Spider sense is goingto feel like, but you'll also be
able to hear oncoming danger. Sonow I'm thinking about all these sort of

(28:42):
things, like what is a shootoutgonna feel like? What is it gonna
sound like? You know? Whatdoes racing sound like? You know,
like if I'm playing a racing game, typically I'm looking at the inset on
the legend where the map is,and I can see somebody approaching me.
But what would it feel like ifI feel someone approaching from behind me?

(29:07):
You know, the revving of theengines and all that. So I think
gaming is gonna become very interesting andI think we're getting a taste of it
now, so I'm excited for you. I'm really glad that you haven't.
I'm getting a lot of my questionsanswered. But there are certain things that
I don't think anybody can really explainthem to me. Yeah, no,
there's certain things experience yourself. Experienceit for yourself. So you know,

(29:33):
I don't. I don't. Ireally don't anticipate the hype, you know,
staying that long, because I don'teven think it's gonna be that long.
To be honest with you, Ireally don't. Because resellers have to
be in this weird place and likeI personally would never want to be one
because you're you're in this place whereOkay, so I'm just selling a PS

(29:57):
five for more than five hours, right, somebody might do it, but
like what's the end game? Likehow long am I going to keep this
up? For it? Because assoon as the stock reaches the shells and
everyone gets one, like I nowhave a PS five that just or whatever
the item is and whatever the costais, so I'm like it's just there,

(30:22):
like I just need somebody to buyit so I can figure up the
space in my personal living quarters. So yeah, yeah that that time frame
and in order for you to trulytake advantage of a situation is very minuscule
for sure. Yeah, who knows. We shall see see what happens.

(30:44):
But yeah, we'll have more informationabout PS five stuff later on, and
we'll kind of go a little bitmore in depth into it once we've kind
of or at least me for now, until JA gets one kind of go
through like some of the little toannounced of it and stuff like that.
Okay, yeah, so waiting onthat, yeah for sure. So you

(31:07):
want to talk about something in particular, I did. Yeah. So one
of the things that is interesting becausethere's been a lot of news about movie
productions that I have been continuing, which we are about to get into in
a second. But one of thethings that leads into this topic that I'm
talking about is this wonderful page thatI actually shared with you. You cried

(31:34):
out, BS, but I thinkit's worth noting. And this is from
common book dot com on Twitter atcomic book is uncharted five in development for
the PS five I say, yes, you say, BS, So here's

(31:55):
the thing. I already know whereexactly what you're gonna say. So,
yeah, you're just telling the audienceat this point. I'm telling the audience
at this point, correct, becauseyou already you already know my argument.
I already know your argument. Sowill there be an uncharted for PS five?
I can probably say yes. Willit be Uncharted five? Probably not,

(32:20):
because because uncharted with a number indicatesthat it's going to be Nathan Drake,
it's not going to be Nathan Drake, so therefore it's not going to
be Uncharted five. Will it besomething aken to Lost Legacy where it's Chloe
and Nadine, or if it's anothercharacter from the Uncharted universe or something like

(32:42):
that. Sure, I can absolutelysee that. Could it even be a
prequel Allah Golden Abyss for the Vita? Sure? Do I think it's going
to be Nathan Drake's next Adventure? No, So that's why I'm calling bs
on the five portion of it.But it could be something like a side
like a sex story or something likethat. So what you're saying is instead

(33:06):
of saying is Uncharted five in developmentfor the PS five, you're saying is
an an uncharted project in development forthe PS five? It would be more
appropriate. Got it. Here's whatI know. I know, Yes,
the story is over. Yes,I understand that. You know, Naughty

(33:31):
Dog is the company that is responsiblefor making these wonderful, beloved games,
and story is king as we've typicallyheard before. But I also know corporate
greed. And there is no waythat Sony is going to sit there making
a movie which you're gonna talk aboutit in a second called Uncharted, and

(33:55):
there is nothing in the works foror a new story. So at this
point is an interesting predicament that theyfind themselves. When I say they,
I'm talking about Naughty Dog, andyou know all the cast and crew is
involved in Can they make an Unchartedfive? Just make a new story?

(34:19):
Absolutely absolutely? Would it be good? No? No, So the answer
is, and that's the thing,Naughty Dog, they don't just put out
anything to put it out, no, And they haven't. They haven't,
they have and they won't honestly, they really won't. Like Naughty Dog will
not put out something that they thinkis crap like, absolutely not. And

(34:45):
so and we know the history. We know the history very well. The
quone crashed, some Crash Bandicoo gamescame out that were questionable. Anything after
Crash three is not. Then withthose CTR was them. CTR was that
which is regarded as one of thebest kart racing games on the PlayStation one.
But after that point nothing else isthen okay, so it was Crash

(35:09):
Batch then hold on, I can'tremember. I feel like there was one
game that they made that was theydid the original Trilogy and then that they
could do Nope, they did notdo Crash Batch. So yes, they
only did the Original Trilogy and CTR. Those were the only Crash games ever
buy them. Right. So,here's my thing. Naughty Dog is very

(35:30):
much like Pixar in this In thisregard, they made Toy Story one.
Everybody fell in love with that movie. Disney was very keen to make a
sequel, and Pixar declared no.And here we are now in twenty twenty
where we have not one Toy Story, not two, not three, but

(35:54):
four now four. I don't thinkwe're making another one after this one.
I believe that the story the ToyStory franchise is done. There's really no
place for them to go aside fromside missions, however, which they have
done. Right, Can they makeanother Toy Story? Yeah? They really

(36:19):
shouldn't have made a Toy Story four, but they did, right, So
and That's how I'm looking at Uncharted. Yeah, they don't need to make
one, but can they yes?Can it be a great story? Yes?
Is the last Uncharted the best endingfor a franchise like this? I

(36:39):
am not going to take that awayfrom you. I don't disagree with you.
Um So, I think arguing whetheror not is going to be quote
unquote Uncharted five is a mood point, like, here's the Uncharted is being
developed. Yeah, here's the otherpiece of that puzzle too, though,
So if you want to use theMoniker of Toy story, it took them

(37:05):
ten years to finally say, Well, probably a little bit less because of
ten years. Is you know whenthe movies actually came apart. So let's
just say realistically eight right, saytext two years to develop Uncharted four came
out in twenty sixteen. Realistically,if they do an Uncharted five, like
an actual true sequel, numbered sequel, I don't foresee that coming out for

(37:31):
at least another three years. Threeyears. Yeah, hands down. Now
again, could they do something smalllike Lost Legacy, which, by the
way, Lost Legacy is a fantasticgame. I love the Lost Legacy.
Could they do something like that?Absolutely? Will I play something like that.

(37:52):
Absolutely get me more of that. But I think the thing is about
Naughty Dog. When they finish astory, they have no problems moving on.
Let's just cut to the chase.Let's just cut to the chase.
Okay, last of us two. They didn't care about anybody's feelings there,
right, it's clear, right, well, they didn't care about any of

(38:12):
these feelings because they told a storythat they wanted to tell, right,
So they don't the story that hadthe most type of impact exactly. So
that's what they're So if they say, hey, this story is done,
they're closing the book and they're like, we're moving on. Okay, another
studio take this and do spinoff games. Absolutely, it already happened. Like

(38:34):
I said, Golden Abyss for Vita, that was a Naughty Dog that wasn't
Then they gave it to Bend Studioand Bend was the one that did it.
Was it a good game? Yeah, it was a fun game.
Was it you know, up touncharted standards? Absolutely not because it was
a naught Dog, But it wasstill a good game, Like because Naughty
Dog already had the story that theywanted to tell and they told it.

(38:55):
And now they're done. So,I mean, we get to this really
interesting part and I understand I ampart of the great minority here and that's
an oxymoron, but I'm gonna stickwith it anyway. I am so I
noticed this right. Uncharted is one, Kingdom Hearts is another, some like

(39:20):
fantastic franchises. Right when we getto this place where you're replaying it on
these new consoles, you're like, you wish it could be retold you wish
I mean, you wish it couldbe so. I mean, I look
at Kingdom Hearts one and two, love playing those games. Those games are
phenomenal games. But then you getto Kingdom Hearts three and you're like,
whoa, Okay, these things areredesigned, and yes, they're bringing a

(39:45):
lot of elements that they did inthe first two games, and they put
it in the third game. Yeah, so it looks great, and it's
like, I wish we had thetechnology that we have now put into the
old games. Uncharted two hands downmy favorite of the Uncharted series. I

(40:07):
love Uncharted four, I love three. One is challenging for technical reasons.
WE get it, we absolutely getit, but dude, I would have
lost it if they announced that theywere going to remake Uncharted two. It's
an old story, but think ofwhat could be done with a PS five

(40:31):
and an Uncharted two game. Imean, yes, but that's I don't
think Nanni though, is not reallyabout that, Like the remask I condition,
Hey, whether I say that lastyear were one thing, but they
were. They won't do that,No, I And whe did I say?
I know I'm part of the minorityon there, but you know that
the thought has been floated. Probably, but the thought has been floated.

(40:55):
I don't know if it's going tocatch wind. I have no idea.
Yeah, but they know they know, like what out of all of these
they know which ones stand the highestout of all of them? Of course,
I mean imagine what they could donow with that franchise and I and

(41:16):
that's the reason why we talk aboutthis. I mean, is Uncharted five
in development for the past five becausethey're looking to recapture lightning in the bottle?
And yeah, you and I bothknow none you dog doesn't stand for
that. So what is it somethingnew that they can do? Perhaps they
can pass the touch on two whoeveris the successor for a Nathan Drake,

(41:39):
or maybe somebody comes in and hasbeen following Nathan Drake all of these years,
and you know, becomes a newselling Who knows, I mean,
you don't know what happens in thewriter's room. I would love to be
a part of it, but that'sanother story for another time. You never
know, man, I don't.I'd say Uncharted five. You say bs,

(42:00):
I say, don't count it outbecause there's always a new story to
tell. There's always a new storyto tell. Yeah, but again,
I know Naughty Dog and when they'redone with something, they have no problems
moving on because I've been wanting aJack four for how long? And no,
they that's not happening. Yeah, because they're done with that franchise.

(42:23):
But speaking of Uncharted m we didget our very very first look at mister
Tom Holland. Yeah this is along time ago. Yeah, this is
a long time ago. Now.We had this four weeks ago when we
when we wrote this script, wewere like, yeah, this is gonna
be the next episode. We gotthis, blah blah blah. We were
supposed to record it that week. It's not a month later. Four weeks

(42:47):
later. Things happen in life, folks. Sorry guys, you know,
people get busy, people have mentalbreakdowns. It's a whole thing. Don't
worry about it, um so inyour time that you need. This is
a mental health Yeah, this isyou know what and all and honestly,
no joking. Please check your mentalhealth, like it is very important,

(43:09):
just as important as your physical health. Mental health is also very very important
anyway it don't ignore it. Pleasebetter if you ignore exactly, just just
you know, talk to someone, deal with it and then breath a friend.
Talk about health care? Can youdo self care? Can you do
an episode on self care? Youknow, I'm all right, you know

(43:30):
what we're gonna do real this topicfor just a second. I kind of
want to do one because I couldyou not. Things have been happening,
and like, I feel like itwould be a very very helpful episode for
a lot of people. So Isay this because number one, I care

(43:52):
about you. I care about metoo, and I know what it is
that you're going through it. Man, this is going to get serious in
like seconds exactly. So this isthis is something that happened to me.
And you know, we talk abouttwenty twenty every single episode. But there's
a lot to unpack here. Likewe are in a new life and we're

(44:17):
not ready for it. So there'sa lot of things that, you know,
we need to do to not onlytake care of yourself, but take
care of others. I mean,it happened to me, but the entire
summer, I mean the what wasthe length of the seven months, I'd
say from March to September October.Yeah, there I had two breakdowns,

(44:37):
two breakdowns where I had just itwas impossible for me to go forward and
so I could live, you know, responsibly, what's what's on the other
side of that coin, or Icould live recklessly and put other people in
harm's way. So, yeah, there are lots of things that you can

(45:00):
do to take care of yourself. And I have solid tips and who knows,
maybe this is how we get engagement, you know, with with some
of you listeners out there, buttaking care of yourself and you know,
helpful tips and tricks. Whatever Ihave, I'm gonna share it with you.

(45:21):
I'm gonna share it with you,Josh, I'm gonna share it with
listening to news and if it helpsyou. Yeah, well, I think
I think it's necessary. Yeah,I think it's necessary that we do it.
Yeah, we'll talk about this andsee what we can do about that.
Yeah, absolutely sure. I gotreally serious for a second there.
I know I said we were goingthere. Yeah, all right, back

(45:44):
back to your fun loving co hosts. We're back. Don't worry. We
are still talking about the things thatwe enjoy it because these are the things
that we do for self care.I mean, yeah, we talk about
video huegos, we talk about movies. We talk about Tom Hollow and releasing
a new photo on his Instagram that'snow four weeks old. But this is

(46:04):
the first time we're talking about iswe're gonna talk about it and it's him
of Nathan Drake. It looks good, it looks good. Here's the thing.
I already know exactly what you're gonnasay, because our conversation that we
had a month ago, That's why. But this is the first time we're
having it on this platform. Yes, So I am very confused about this
movie. I am excited for itand wants to see it. We both

(46:25):
love and charted. We're both excited. They keep saying, this is Nathan
Drake before he's Nathan Drake, right, like this is a prequel of sorts.
Then why the hell is he dressedlike he's dressed and Charted one.
They could have been filming the lastscene. We don't really know, but

(46:50):
I have He doesn't wear that forthe rest of his life. He wears
that for like the game takes place, and of course of what two days?
Yeah yeah, yeah, so likehe doesn't wear that for the rest
of his life. He wears thatfor two days. Look, I get
it, I get it. Sothat's not all about day I don't know.
The thing that bothers me is like, I so literally at Tom Holland

(47:14):
fan, well, there's two thingsI want to dress. That was the
first, Sorry, the second onewas. He also shared a second Instagram
story um showing a video of themon the set. The set looks like
the church from the end of thefirst game. Yeah, so I don't
really believe anything that they tell me. So I'm like, is this Uncharted

(47:37):
one, like like the story ofUncharted one? Like are we gonna have
El Dorado and everything? And thenit's like, where's Elena? Then who
knows? Imagine if it's in there, imagine, Oh my god, that
would be hilarious. I would Iwould personally love it. I know people
will freak out. But I wouldpersonally love it. I know people would

(47:59):
hate it, will absolutely hate it. Like I can tell you right now,
hair, why are you doing this? Wait? Wait, wait,
hold on, hold on. Whatif it's India and she died her hair
blonde? Please, I'm here forit like a dirty Sunday. I can
do whatever she wants. I don'tknow. I keep saying her name,
right, I'm I apologize and Iokay, what if it's her she has

(48:23):
her hair like not like not likeobviously like blonde blonde, but like,
you know, like a dirty blondeor something. I just so like,
I always love it. Elena, she has the purple top. She does
need that. But Elena aside.I do love Tom Holland. I do.
I think he's a great actor.I just I want to see if

(48:46):
you really want to see Tom Hollandact. By the way, this is
for you and for everyone else onNetflix. He had that movie with Robert
Pattinson. Yeah, I know what. He's capable of doing the devil all
the time, the Devil time.He is fantastic. It is. I
don't doubt that for a second.I just know Nathan Drake as a very

(49:07):
specific way being it's Nathan Phillion ina fit again, You're not wrong,
and we got a short film.Would be more than happy to put them
in the show notes, But Iwatched it the other day, so freaking
good. Still still so good, and I'm like, why not just take
him and put him because the thingI know, but he's that short film

(49:30):
was so good. Had had theymade this movie or had Nathan Phillion old
as he was in Yeah, exactlyFirefly. You just said it like Nathan,
like Nathan Phillion Firefly era Nathan Phillianin this movie. Yeah, but
I mean it's also twenty twenty, like we can do things to make a

(49:51):
fifty year old an action star perfection. I get it, I get it,
I get it. I understand whywe do. We absolutely do,
And I understand why they cast itTom Holland because they want to make this
a franchise, because they want toclearly make this the franchise moving forward for
the next decade or two. Um, so he'll be spider Man and Nathan

(50:14):
drink. Yeah, yeah, Ican't wait for that Nathan Drake crossover.
They're both part of PlayStation Studios untilMarvel says no, thank you, right,
Yeah, but who knows it looksgood. I just I want to
see him say the lines as Nathan. That's what I want to see because

(50:37):
I can't see it right now.I want him to punch somebody and say,
Kitty got with Oh, that's clearlygoing to happen. You already know
that already, And then there're Sully. I don't. Yeah, so days
later there, yeah, I know. A few days later, Mark wall
I sent it in our little groupchat that we have. Mark Wallbert posted

(50:58):
like a very or video on hisInstagram of him saying in obscurity, which
is fine whatever, He's Mark Walbert, but the way that his hair and
makeup were, it's basically Sully. But he looked like Sully. If you
remember Uncharted three during the flashback sequenceof Kid Nathan Drake, he looked he

(51:22):
looked like that, which is like, so, is it a prequel or
is it Uncharted one. I don'tunderstand. We want to understand until we
get the first trailer. Problem withI hope we get something new because as
much as I love Uncharted all thegames for their stories, I don't need
to see Uncharted one game in amovie. We already have a problem when

(51:45):
it comes to most video games.Well, starting into movies pretty bad.
No, but like like Sonic wasreally good. He can Detective. Do
you know how long it took there? Well yeah, but I mean that
doesn't mean that this won't be good. We don't know yet. Well,

(52:06):
right if we're training, Because here'sthe thing, Uncharted as a series is
already like watching a movie. Anyway, I know this already there. I
just am concerned. I don't wanta shot for shot remake. We've seen
the Lion King. We see howbad that. They're not going to do
that. I know, but it'sjust create something new. They're not going

(52:30):
to create like a brand new story. I don't think they're gonna take elements
from them from the games. Youcan take elements, you can take all
the elements that you want. Doit. I have no problem with it.
I just they can do Eldorado againand change it up a little bit.
O the stories to tell. Soyou're telling me you don't want to
see Lazarovitch really yeah, exactly,be quiet, But like I'm charting,

(52:53):
I don't know. I don't know. I just I get nervous. I
going in real life? Come on, that would be crazy right, said
two things from that game, andyou're you're using my favorite game against me.
So because they will inevitably due onGeorgia too, That's why they will

(53:14):
inevitably do that. Who do youthink is gonna play Chloe? Oh,
Chloe, she's Australian, you knowwhat. I've actually been rewatching Dexter and
I know she's British, she's nonAustralian, but I still think she would
be great for it. Do youremember in season two the sponsor that he

(53:35):
gets because Rieda thinks that he's doingdrugs. Lilah is her name in the
show, That actress. I forgother name on the top of man.
Whoever said Lilah in Dexter season two? Yes, I don't know. I
don't know. Maybe maybe I couldsee why you're saying that, but I
don't know. I think she's alegitimate, good actress. It's not just

(53:55):
because of the accent. I'm lookingforward to more from, you know,
the Uncharted movie, and I'm lookingmore for the first Look because clearly that's
the only Marvel stuff that we're goingto get this year. More on that
later, But moving on to thenext topic, because so we could talk
about so we're gonna, yeah,we're gonna kind of move a little bit
quicker here as we go on.I mean, this one isn't really too

(54:17):
much of a topic. This isjust like more information that they dropped for
us combined these two. Yeah, dared Leto is actually coming back for the
Snyder Cut, which is going tobe coming out in twenty twenty one,
and HBO Max. We talked aboutthis in depth. This is going to
be what a four hour movie oryou can watch it in four segments now

(54:39):
or a piece. And if youdon't watch you all four hours at one
time, you're not a true fan. Just saying. I think that's something
that Josh is saying. I personallythink if you're an adults and you're listening
to the show, don't feel anytype of peer pressure by whatever Josh says.
I'm an adult and I'm going towatch all four hours. That's your

(55:00):
choice to watch it. Not atrue fan is a stretch of the imagination.
Anyways, Jared Letto has been confirmedto come back because they're working him
into the story. He has beenreported to have a weary look or somebody
had stated that he has a roadlook. I'm not exactly sure what that

(55:21):
means. Yeah, you wrote thisdown and I immediately went, what,
Yeah, I don't know what itmeans, but I think they translated because
a third article that I read aboutthis said that they were changing the design,
and I think that's all we neededto know about that, because I
mean, you're not wrong the factthat people I mean, it's no secret
that everyone thought the way that theJoker looked in Suicide Squad, which will

(55:43):
kind of talk about here in asecond, Like it's no secret that everyone
hated the way he looks. Itdidn't really bother me, to be honest,
I mean, it was like, okay, but a lot of things
don't even bother me that much aboutLike even when we talk about X Men,
we talk about I talk about XMen on the show very often.
It's just like a lot of thingsthat I'm like, why are you doing
that? But like at the endof the day, like it doesn't ruin

(56:06):
my day, Like you know whatI mean, I'm like, me,
I don't like this, but likewho cares, Like no one cares,
so like Jared Leto with like tattooson his forehead, I'm like, okay,
So clearly this man is insane anddidn't know that? Yeah, like
who but like at the end ofthe like who cares? I mean yeah,

(56:28):
I mean at the end of theday I went to go watch the
movie, did I was, Ilike taken out of it because he wrote
the word damaged on his foread. Now, oh where the memes funny of
him looking like mcaulay culkin screaming andhome alone. Absolutely, but you know
that's a different story. Um,I think could they have approached it a
different way? Yes? Yeah,But do I think this? I mean,

(56:50):
just so, do you know howmany Jokers that they've done since its
inception? There was a Joker documentarythat was released by DC Fandom that was
really cool. I love that onebecause they even brought in Zach Galfinakis,
a joker in the Lego Batman movie, and like, we never bring that
up, but he did a reallygood joker. He really joker. So

(57:14):
I say this to say, there'sthere's many different tellings of who the Joker
is because he doesn't have a trueorigin, and that's one makes him such
a such a very compelling character. That this Joker that Jared Letto has done
has tattoos whatever. So you're gonnarechange the design for him? Great?
Whatever, Yeah, what was goingto be in the movie Jokers quote if

(57:37):
I have to have an origin andrather it be multiple choice, M love
it, love it, love it, love it, love it. Love
it. Now. So needless tosay, I'm very excited for the Snyder
cut. I'm glad that Jared Lettois coming back. I also feel like,
yeah, I was gonna say thatI'm glad he's getting closure because exactly
because they screwed him over with allthe footage that they shot and never used.

(57:59):
For suicide Squad, which is thenext topic that we're getting to,
and that's ladies and gentlemen, iswhat's called segue Beautiful, You're beautiful.
He's such a beautiful man, justsaying David Ayer as the air cut for
the suicide squad, the first suicidesquad, not the one that was that's

(58:21):
being directed and being cut in processedsuicide squad, not su suicide right,
it's just suicide squad. And there'sthe air cut that's going to be coming
directly to HBO. Max. Ithink this is such a great time to
be alive. This is fantastic though. Now we'll actually get to see because

(58:45):
Air Actually, David Air actually cameout in an interview recently and said that
the studio is responsible for like cuttinglike the first twenty to forty minutes yep,
that film, which is why, like the beginning of the film really
doesn't make sense, and like Ilike it just it just starts. Yeah,

(59:07):
I've liked Suicide Squad, but I'mlike, yeah, I don't really
get what's going on here, butI guess that's not what they were going
for. But it looks like DavidAyer wasn't going for that at all.
Nope. And then like we justsaid, like there's a bunch of joker
footage that just was not used atall, and he was upset and he
said, like he doesn't even wantanything to do with this whole thing,
because I mean, what he signedup for is not what came out.

(59:30):
So I imagine, you know,I pay you for a job, and
you know I pay you, andyou know what I said for you to
come in and do you do thatat all? Yeah? Exactly. So
I'm glad. Look everyone is gettingtheir face shake. Now. All we
need right now is Ben Affleck tocome back as Batman and make that Batman

(59:52):
movie and then we'll have like fiveBatman movies. Yeah, but that Batman
tral Robert Pattinson is really I'm notsaying that we should get rid of that.
I'm just saying we need Ben Affleckto have him. I mean,
he's going to come back in flashpoints, so we already knew that.
Yeah. Um, we have likesix Batman movies coming out to say he's
nothing wrong. Now he's saying. Here's the thing though, we will say

(01:00:15):
so from this from this thread thatyou got this from. It is from
smallscreen dot co dot uk. Okay, there has been an updated tweet by
them saying David Ayer has taken toTwitter to claim that his cut of Suicide
Squad is not coming to HBO Max. But however, they're still saying that
they're standing by their sources. Butwe want to make sure this tweet was

(01:00:36):
mentioned. Gotcha. Well, wedon't know. It may have been you
know, somebody jumping the gun notJames gun, but yes, but maybe
like somebody said something a little tooearly and they will announce it that at
a later time. But who knows. HBO Max is weird because they just

(01:00:57):
got rid of Acaman and I'm like, why are you getting rid of it?
Like I don't get it. Well, huh, that's a whole different
story because there's somebody that's no anyway, don't, don't, don't. We're
not or not. We're not. We're not, we're not. You get
my job anyways. Um, Sothat's all the DC news that we have

(01:01:20):
right now, and then switching gearsto that Marvel training because yes, we
can't go an episode with our onefreaking episode. It's not. I'm pretty
confident even in like the Kingdom Heartsepisode or the music episode we talked.
We so for anybody that's listening rightnow, we will gift okay, all

(01:01:44):
of the Avengers digital if you canfind one episode, one episode, and
all of our podcasts where we don'tmention Marvel at all. That's Avengers one
hold hold on please. Yes,I was about to say, clarify which
films Invenors, Marvels, the Avengersin twenty twelve, Age of Ultrum,

(01:02:05):
the sequel uh Infinity War, aswell as Endgame. Oh he's putting this
out there. He did this withoutconsulting me. Everyone's I just know this
is me, this is me.This is coming from PRISKI context, if
you can find one episode where bothof us I know, yeah, well
you know, I'm trying to coverourselves. But if you can find an

(01:02:30):
episode where we don't mention Marvel atall, well yet four movies, and
also let us know what they are, because I don't know, we don't
know. This is why we're askingthis of you. Yeah, we're asking
of this of you because we actuallydo want to know. So if he's
for the challenge, you get freemore free movies. To be clear,

(01:02:52):
don't if you hear where we don'tlike talk like completely about it, we
actually mean where we don't mention eitherthe word Marvel at all, like or
anything within the Marvel universe. Soit's not it's not the So if it's
we mentioned the MCU, that's Marvel. If we mentioned Daredevil with Ben Affleck

(01:03:14):
that Marvel. If we mentioned Blade, that's also Marvel. Yes, I'm
just talking about an episode where wedon't talk about the word Marvel, is
not murmured, the properties subjective ofit, all of that, right,
yes, okay, great? Cool? And if that does happen, holy

(01:03:34):
crap, what episode was it?Because there's I want to re listen to
it to make sure. Yeah wewill, we will check your homework.
But moving on to because clearly thisepisode is not going to be that Marvels,
Chris Pratt and Vin Diesel have beenconfirmed to be traveling to Australia because
they are going to be featured inthe next Thoor, Love and Thunder movie.

(01:03:59):
Soy, audience of the Guts,I don't but they never said that,
you know that right? What theynever said? But they say,
actually he says it that they dosay that, don't. I thought,
see, I thought, um,I need to watch that film again.
At the very end of ending,I know when it happens. I just
thought, you know, when likefans they want movies and they say things

(01:04:24):
like I had assumed that that wassomething that a fan said. No,
he said it, he said it. So yeah, how did people hear
it? I don't know because theywere laughing their butts off when you know,
I know, yeah, you're rightright, like there are so like
I vividly remember not understanding what Hulksaid in the original Avengers movie right after

(01:04:46):
he like destroyed Loki. Because ifeveryone laughing so hard, like I saw
his little movie, yeah, wewere we were there together. It was
a bunch of us, and hedoes that. The entire theater is just
cracking up, and Thor says somethingbecause I mean, Hulk says something because
his mouth is moving. I haveno idea what he said the first time

(01:05:09):
because everyone was just dying of laughter. And it happened again in an endgame
with that, like everyone just eruptedin laughter. I had no idea what
he said right after escortions of theGalaxy. I have said this before,
Kevin Vigy. If you're listening,Harry needs to be like a kind of
like a theater cut of the filmwhere you're wanting and you hear all the

(01:05:31):
people like yelling. I think thatwould be a great idea. I still,
I know, honestly, I stillwatched that one in the game reaction
video every of that dude and youjust hear his super high squeal. It's
hilarious, I know. And oneof my favorites is the copy of the
Infinity War trailler that we were neversupposed to see on the internet but exists.

(01:05:56):
Yeah, and there's this one guythat has no idea what he's looking
at. He's like what he saidevery single time, Like he's what's going
on, doesn't understand he just witnessedthe trailer to the start of one of
the biggest movies of all time.Yeah, and he's just like, he's
just so happy to be participating. He's just happy to be at D twenty

(01:06:20):
three. Anyway. So yeah, anyways, as Guardians of the Galaxy are
heading to Australia, Yes, Idon't know, Okay, no, no,
no, Yeah, we don't know. I was gonna say, yeah,
we don't know if they're going tobe in it for the home movie,
if they're in it for the beginningof the film, to drop Thor
off at the end of the film, to pick thorback up. Like,

(01:06:42):
we don't know anything obvious, Idon't know anything. Um, we just
know that they are going there todo stuff. Also, why has been
Diesel going because he does voiceover?Yes exactly, but he can doesn't have
to be there for that. Youwant him to phone it in. Yeah,
that's literally what he does. Hegoes to a booth and they take

(01:07:04):
his recordings. Yeah. So thebooth is in Australia. Why, that's
probably where the production studio is forMarful Studios. But anyway, who knows,
I mean, you don't. Idon't get I mean, look,

(01:07:25):
I get it. He should beable to yeah, I mean no,
I mean, well, you neverknow. But at the same time,
he could also be he could recordit on this phone. I mean,
we're at that point in our liveswhere I highly doubt he would be recording
it on his phone. Are youtelling me Bevin Diesel does not have a
professional microphone at his house. Idon't think the man released a song which

(01:07:49):
we are not going to talk about. I forgot he did it. We
are not going to be talking aboutthat. However, he did it,
so I'm pretty sure he can do. Has been so bizarre we're not talking
about it. Can we do ayear and then review, please? Please?

(01:08:10):
We do? We have to talkabout Hold the crazy guest that has
happened this entire year. I wantto forget this year existing. Please.
Australia was a fire. California wason fire because somebody wanted to know if

(01:08:32):
they were having a boy or agirl. Oh my gosh. They couldn't
just look at the photo. Sothey were like, what can we do
this. Let's send the entire Westcoast on fire. This is all in
the middle, in the middle ofa freaking pandemic we have, so we

(01:08:57):
have to we I mean like Idid, Yeah, we do. I
don't want to do. It's goingto be because that's what's going to help
us appreciate the new year? Willit? Though? It will? It
will? I have good ideas. No, do you know what's gonna help
me for the new Year's gonna helpyou for the new year? One Division
coming out of January fifteen. Twosegues are pristine. The release date for

(01:09:23):
Wan Division. I haven't lost mytouch. I know what I'm doing.
It'd be great because I don't.I got this keeping us on track.
Don't worry, guys. The releasedate for One Division you can finally go

(01:09:44):
on the Disney app because apparently ifyou go to the website it's not there
and we don't know why. Butif you go on to the mobile app
on your phone's one Division has setfor January fifteenth, twenty twenty one.
Yeah, which officially makes twenty twentythe only year aside from two oman nine
that doesn't have any Marvel content, any Marvel Studios content, to be specific.

(01:10:10):
So I'll say, I'm like,I'm literally playing a Marvel property right
now. But that's not Marvel Studiosstudios, so we may get a first
look or Spider Man. So yeah, I mean they've been filming for a
month now. They got plenty offootage, roughly plenty of footage, maybe

(01:10:30):
half a month really something. Yeah, we forgot to mention. So when
we were talking about the Toma Hollandstuff with Nathan Drake, that was literally
like the last two days of himshooting and charted and then he went to
go immediately start shooting Spider Man.Three. Gold is working. Dude's working
working a lot for sure. SoI wouldn't be surprised if we get a

(01:10:53):
uncharted trailer maybe within the next monthor so. Yeah, before the end
of the year ends, when whenthe movie is actually we're going to be
coming out, but that remains tobe seen. We're not going to talk
about that. Isn't it July ofnext year? Yeah, if everything goes
smoothly, If everything goes smoothly,as unbusy as we were this year,

(01:11:14):
we're gonna be super busy next yearwith all of these movies. It's gonna
be like thirty Marvel Studio stuff, like fifteen DC stuff. Like God,
it's gonna be overwhelming, and that'sjust marvel in DC. This doesn't count
like us watching like James Bond Uncharted. It's gonna be Halloween. Yeah,
it's gonna be super overwhelming. AndI keep saying this. I'm like,

(01:11:38):
if the pandemic continues and like fearsdon't like naturally come back to the wild
and like do what theaters do?Breath of the Wild? Oh stop it,
um, it's it's going Breath ofthe Wild. It's going to be
this moment where it's like, well, what do we do with all of
this stuff that is literally sick inthe can ready to go, Like we

(01:12:01):
gotta do something with it. SoI'm hoping we don't get up to that
point. I'm hoping that everything comesout next year, whole thing. And
I know I've said that at leastfour times. This is whole thing started
two h forty five days ago.Yeah, we'll see. But there's the
last one day here. Yeah,so you're going to take point on this

(01:12:24):
very last. This point is goingto be extremely short. The Bandalorian season
two is out. I have watchedthe last three episodes and I'm very excited.
Yes, yes, yeah, yeah, And you have not watched anything

(01:12:45):
yeah, so I don't. Atthis point, I'm just gonna stop asking
because I don't think you're going to. I mean I will, but they're
not. You're not. You're here, and it's fine. I just so
if you're not, I want somethingconcrete. I would love to see something

(01:13:08):
concrete that comes from you watch itand you give something like critical, you
know, a review on like here'sthe reason why I'm not watching it,
Like, don't give me like I'mgonna watch it eventually because like it's been
over a year. Bro so herehere all right, so you know what
we're gonna talk about this right now. So here's the thing. I've said

(01:13:29):
it multiple times. You're not aStar Wars man. I get it.
I get it, like I getit, Like I will watch Star Wars.
I will sit down and I willwatch the movies. I will.
No, I can't even say thatbecause I haven't watched anything of Clone Wars
or anything like that. I willwatch the movies, but that's as far
as I'll go. Like I don'tclam for more Star Wars stuff. Will

(01:13:53):
I go to Galaxy's Edge and havefun? Absolutely, because it's a blast.
It's really cool. But and Ilike the and I like the world
and all that stuff, but I'mnot invested in it like I am with
Marvel. I'm not invested in itlike I am with Kingdom Arts. I'm
not invested in it like I amwith Dragon Ball like those things. I

(01:14:15):
actively seek out new content for rightStar Wars. They've been dropping new content
like crazy, and I'm like, yeah, I'll check it out. Yeah,
I'll check it out whenever. Likeyou were, you were very you
were like, why aren't you playingthis with what was it? Fallen Order?
Did I Yeah, yeah, wellno honestly, but I don't.

(01:14:36):
I wasn't expecting you to do Fallin the name of the game. Yeah,
yeah, yeah, I wasn't expectingyou to play Fall. In order
to be completely honest with you,I may have mentioned it in passing,
but there was never a moment whereI was just like, yeah, to
like re follow up with you orsee if you had gotten the game,
because like, I get it,I understand that you're not, but I
don't think you're answering the question like, which is if you're not watching it,

(01:15:00):
is it because you just have nointerest in it or you watched it
and it's like bad, No,no, I don't think it's so that
I will say it's not bad.It is actually, like I legit because
I watched the first four or fiveepisodes of season one and I enjoyed myself
when I was watching them. Butyou just have no ambition to watch,
But I have no Yeah, Ijust I don't have that motivation to like

(01:15:23):
go back and watch it, right, And that's fair because there's lots of
Netflix shows that I start and I'mlike, yeah, not continuing this,
yeah, and like so that's thething. I just don't have that motivation
there now. Like again, ifwe start talking about like something Marvel related
or like Daredevil for example, Iwill binge watch the entire thing. I

(01:15:47):
believe it. I believe because I'minterested in that. I just want more
of that. I'm wondering because it'slike, because the show for me is
improving and we're not doing like aproper review because we're coming close to the
end of the episode. But mindelareanwith the three episodes that we have out
now, it's it's clearly progressing somewhere, and they've name dropped like characters,

(01:16:13):
and I'm not going to share thatwith you now. I wish. Yeah,
that's fine, and obviously to somecapacity, either we are discussing it
or I'm discussing it where you know, there are certain things that are being
set up right now, but they'renot just doing setup like things are happening
in the episodes, and you know, villains have been revealed, and I

(01:16:38):
am i'mlike stoked, I'm absolutely stoked. Yeah, And I know that those
episodes, when the reveal happens,I know you would get something out of
there. But for some reason,I suppose it's not clicking for you.
Yeah, and I guess that that'swhat I'm interested in, Like what part
isn't clicking? And we don't haveto discuss it now, Yeah, we

(01:17:01):
could discuss it later. What Ican say based on the three episodes that
I've seen so far is Timothy Aliphonis fantastic. I mean, enjoyed that
episode tremendously, the last part ofthat episode certainly. I mean, I
believe I know what it is.The online community believe they know who is.

(01:17:26):
I'm excited to see what's next. The second episode kind of creeped me
out, so it did its jobthere and I know some people had problems
with it. But it's like it'sa series, guys, is really what
I'm saying. I liked it.Clearly, what you see there is not
going to be the end of it, because that's how series work. You
set something up and the payoff islater and then and then. The last

(01:17:51):
episode was also good. Also hada fantastic cameo for a character that you
know, for an actress that manypeople are familiar with, and name drop,
name drop. And I am catchingup on a lot of Star Wars

(01:18:12):
stuff because there's a lot of stuffthat I know. Obviously. The movie
is very well, very interested inthe Mandalorian, and the Mandalorian is helping
me become more interested in stuff thatI miss. So who knows what's happening
in Star Wars right now? Becauseyeah, well we know why. But
the sequel trilogy has left a verystrength Like Star Wars is weird. We've

(01:18:36):
discussed this before. The Star Warscommunity of fans are just completely divided,
and they're not divided into factions. It's like everybody's on their own planet.
And I don't get it, butI know I'm a Star Wars fan.
I love it all. Yeah,I can criticize it, but I don't

(01:18:57):
hate any of it, and II can't tell anybody what to do and
what not to do, but um, it's interesting to see what this is
doing. And it would be greatif the Mandalorian just becomes this anchor that
kind of reestablishes that love and thatcare and position for all of the projects

(01:19:18):
that they have moving forward. Sure, I'm hoping, I'm hoping. I'm
hoping that this is that anchor, and you know, everything gets built from
here from this point, because Ican tell you growing up with Star Wars
movies, I did that hair atall, but I didn't know who Bubbafet
was. Somebody told me like BubbaFet was their favorite character, and I

(01:19:40):
was just like, who are youtalking about? And I said, oh,
the bounty hunter in you know, not return to Ji and probably shrinks
back. And I said, Ihave no idea who you're talking about.
And I've seen that movie multiple times. So they explained it to me,
and I was just like, thatguy, that guy is your favorite character.
And I'm like, we know nothingabout that guy, and that you

(01:20:00):
know, with the extended universe andall that stuff. They were explaining stuff
to me and I said, Idon't care about that. This show is
making me care about that fair enough. So again, not that I just
I think that's something I think thatwould be a topic. Just what is
the disconnect? Because clearly you likeit to a degree. I like it,

(01:20:26):
Yeah, exactly, I like itto a degree. But it's not
like you just said off the topof your head, like Star Wars was
something that you watched when you werea child, right, And I don't
think you need to like it asa child in order for you to like
it now. No, no,no, I'm not saying that. But
what I'm saying is that because ofthat, it's more ingrained than you.
It is. But this is agreat show to establish a new like love

(01:20:53):
for it or a new fan base, like somebody who doesn't know anything about
any of the previous movies, right, and this is some This is something
somebody can latch onto if they hadno interest whatsoever, that they can be
drawn in, right Whereas me Ialready have somewhat of an interest, but
I already know in my head.I'm like, I like it, but

(01:21:14):
it's not something that I want toinvest all my time, Yeah, because
I've already invested with so many otherthings and believe it or not, I
still believe that can change. Ijust don't know if you've seen because it
only takes really one thing, right, one thing will be like, okay,
I'm interested in this right and youknow very well in the future,
one day I could be sitting onmy couch. You'd be like, you

(01:21:38):
know what I want to do.Let me just binge watch the Mandalorian,
Let me binge watch Clone Wars,Let me binge watch whatever the other series
was called. And I could cometo you and text you the next day
and be like, yo, I'mreally into Star Wars. Now. You
know how I would react. Youremember and missus dowdfire No no, no,

(01:21:58):
no, not hello remember or hisbrother? He goes, oh,
I'm so happy. That's that's whatI would be doing. But I wouldn't
make you up like a woman.I just that would just be in right
response. Anyways, I just wantto say really quickly before we close out,
the text that you sent me oflove is only a Feeling Darkness video.

(01:22:23):
I'm assuming that's the lead singer inthe thumbnail. Yes, looks like
Aerosmith. And then I immediately thought, dude looks like a lady. Oh
yeah, yeah. So I've beentotally aside talking about like self care and
taking care of oneself and mental stability. I've been on a rock kick,
and I just I've discovered a lotof new music just from family, friends,

(01:22:45):
and and I've just been sharing outmusic. So I've shared love is
only a feeling by the darkness withso many. The first of all,
the music is the song is great. Okay, it is phenomenal, and
the video is also phenomenal. It'sso dude, you should watch it.
You should watch it. It's justlike these epic angles that show like are

(01:23:09):
angles. Uh no no Deft Angeles, No, no, but they're better
angles. Let's just put it thatway, and or no, it's just
wide angles and you it's it's powerfulman, powerful man. It's so good.
Skimmed over whatever. Um what said? Is it ninety degree? It's

(01:23:34):
getting late to stop it. Youjust completely ignored it. Just I know,
because I'm focused on what I'm gonnasay, it closes all out.
But anyway, what I'm trying tosay is, um, we are definitely
going to be doing an episode onself care. I think it's important.
That's definitely important. And one lasttidbit before finally we closes that, because

(01:23:56):
we really closes up. If youdo want to discover new music, is
this is for Jason is for everybody. Um Mark Hoppus of blinkin eighty two
fame, he has a I thinkI think you told me about this already,
but I'm going to reiterate. Hedoes have a radio show on Apple
Music called after School Radio. It'severy Tuesday at like what eleven am Pacific

(01:24:20):
time? Just wanted whenever you feellike watching it, Well, that's when
he drops new episodes. Yea,all past episodes are there, so if
you want to catch it live youcould m but yeah, his past episodes
are up that you can just listento there about two hours each. Um.
He it's it's sort of like apodcast but not really. But basically

(01:24:40):
he just drops like a bunch ofalternative and rock and stuff like that from
throughout history, and he talks tosome of the people like he had what's
his name from Jimmy World? Hehad who do you have? On there?
The other day too, he hadsomebody I forgot the name of it.
But he has some data remember actuallyyou know what data remember was on
there too, So he brought andbrings in another artist to kind of talk

(01:25:01):
about some things and like their favoritesongs and all that stuff. So yeah,
it's really cool. Check it outgreat want to discover new music.
I will do that. I'm lookingforward to that, so mental health,
listen to great music. Markampas AppleMusic and thanks so much for tuning in.
