(00:00):
Okay, so we had a debate. Last time we had a debate.
Uh, you know it was atalk if you know Nightmare before Christmas was
a Christmas or Halloween movie. Yes, now we have another debate. What's
the debate? Is die Hard aChristmas movie? We've talked about this before.

(00:20):
Yes, this is a definitive vdefinitive answer right now. I say
the answer is no. I saythe answer is yes. I will I
will give you one reason why.Okay, please do Can the story of
this movie still happen if Christmas wasnot involved? I'd say yes? Can

(00:44):
you? Yes? Because the onlyreason John McClean is in Los Angeles at
that building is because of a Christmasparty. The only reason Hans Gruber is
that building because there is less securityand easy to get into during Christmas time.

(01:07):
I rest my case they wouldn't goif it wasn't for Christmas? Done?
Is that the only time that theoffice has a party during the year?
No, but he specifically went becauseit was a Christmas party. Why
would he go to any other party? I mean, if it's a party
and as people gathered, and remember, he's there to see his he's there

(01:30):
to see his wife, right, that's what that was. They separated at
this point. And yet no,not yet, No, that happens in
subsequent movies. Yes, but that'sbut that's just an event. Like it
could have been Easter, it couldhave been July fourth, it could have
been any holiday. No, whohas Easter parties? Like a company,

(01:53):
I'm no one I know has partiesand July fourth they're closed. What you're
so, what you're telling me isthat this office party can only happen on
Christmas? Is that what you're saying. No, I'm not saying the party
can only happen on Christmas. Butthe reason everything is happening is because of
Christmas. You remove Christmas, there'sno party, there's no less security that

(02:21):
it goes away. I don't know. I get what you're saying, and
I've heard this argument before. Ijust don't know if it really holds any
water. I'm not saying and I'mnot saying that you can't say that it's
a Christmas movie. I'm not sayingthat you can't watch this on Christmas.
Christmas movie. Out of all thecollections that I've seen, I've never seen

(02:44):
Die Hard listed as a Christmas movie. What I've never seen it listed as
I've seen it as an actual movie. When was the movie released? Eighty
how was the year? What month? Oh? Oh, you know what.
Let's find out right now, liveon. I promise you, I

(03:06):
promise you. It's not on Christmas. By the way, we've never by
the way, we've never officially dubbedwhat this section is. I'm now dubbing
it the pre show. Okay, great? Uh? Die Hard nineteen eighty
eight, the summer. I amlooking, I am looking. It's probably
the summer, honestly, I'm lookingwhere. Probably July. It's July.

(03:30):
I told you, what did Ifreaking tell you? A movie that takes
place during Christmas time doesn't necessarily makeit a Christmas movie. You typically have
to celebrate Christmas in a Christmas movie, so they literally sell up my Christmas
at the end. Nah. Really, I would say it's also today.

(03:55):
Go ahead, go ahead. Iwas going to say that Night Before Christmas
is widely debated as a Halloween movie. Not true. I think it's a
hybrid. You can watch Nightmamber beforeChristmas on Halloween. You can watch The
Nightmare Before Christmas on Christmas, andyou will get both things. Because while
it typically takes place during the holidays. The topic is celebrating Christmas and trying

(04:23):
to understand Christmas and delivering Christmas presentsto kids in their own very unique type
of way. All right, NightmareBefore Christmas is in my eye, in
my view, and like a trueChristmas movie. Correct, that's fair.
That one I can understand. Also, I just googled Christmas or movies that

(04:45):
are Christmas movies that came out inlike July or the summer. I don't
know if I like, if Ican credit this, well, actually I
could probably credit this site. JurassicWorld came out in June of twenty fifteen.
It technically is considered a Christmas movieor it takes place during Christmas.
I forgot about that. Yeah, you forgot about it because it doesn't matter.

(05:13):
It really doesn't matter. Batman returnsJune. Okay, so hard and
die Hard Jue, Oh my god, just just stop, just stop,
just leave it. A little Gremlinswe'll see June nineteen eighty four, but

(05:33):
that actually deals more on the Christmas. Lady in the Tramp June ninety five,
Christmas movie Miracle thirty fourth Street,June fourth, Let's go. But
this is actually dealing with the actualChristmas. There's Santa Claus. It is

(05:57):
there's a Santa Clause and die Heart. It's a guy dressing opposite Claus because
it's Christmas. All a Christmas movie. It's a Christmas movie and I'm declaring
it now. So welcome to ourfeel fresh Bee context. It is here

(06:31):
we discussed insightful of views on aroutine bi weekly basis, over the incredibly
nerdy things we can't stop talking about. To taking on this dorky right are
your host, Josh, I'm drinkinghot chocolate and myself Jason wanted to take
a seat, so back, relax. We're here to do all the heavy
lifting. It is about to getnerdy. This is episode Natty eight,
Part two, you know, thebuild up to one hundreds antagonizing. I

(06:51):
mean this episode is called Movies Anywhere, literally anywhere, Movies anywhere, but
not you know, the service moviesAnywhere. No, we actually already talked
about that. That's a thing.Yeah, yeah, that's a thing.
It's a good thing, and it'salso a weird thing. Yeah, but
this is a new thing. Thisis a new thing. This should really

(07:15):
be called movies at home, Andwe actually have a topic regarding the title
in some interesting news handling from WarnerBrothers. We will be talking about that,
but before we jump in, howare you, Josh, Hi,
I'm here, I'm warm, I'menjoying hot cocoa. No, no,
no, I mean how are you? How are you? Oh that?

(07:35):
Yes? You know, I amhere. I am existentially, yes,
existentially, yes, you know. We've had a lot of I was very
you know what, I will say, I was very concerned, well because
I thought that we were going togo on a break like we did back

(07:57):
in March. Because we have,I will say, I have apologize to
the audience. We have been takinga little bit longer in between episodes here
and there, to be fair,to be fair, to be fair.
It's it's because we just needed torecharge a little bit more. Um,
at least for me. I can'tspeak for you. I need to recharge
a little bit more in between episodes. Yeah, it's it's been challenging.

(08:22):
Right. We're currently in December oftwenty twenty. Twenty twenty has been a
very interesting here here on our planetEarth. Um, we are still in
the midst of a pandemic. Thisis going to be a time capsule of
sorts like I like how you sayplanet Earth as in if somebody's listening on
Mars, or like, oh we'regood over here Earth, though, man,

(08:43):
hey listen. You never know whereour voices can potentially travel. We
could actually just go to Our voicescould go to Mars. I don't know
if we will go to Mars.Let's asking Elon Musk tweet him. I
don't know if I want to talkto him. He scary because he is
a genius. That's why I mean, yes, he is, Yeah,
I mean, but he's still scary. Geniuses usually are. Yeah, yeah,

(09:09):
exactly, So, yeah, ifthings are bizarre. We don't necessarily
talk about every single little thing thathappens in twenty twenty because we are an
entertainment podcast and we'd like to givecontext for things of the very geeky variety.
And things are happening politically, thingsare happening with vaccinations and health,

(09:33):
and things are happening with mental health. We discussed this for a little bit
in the in the previous episode. And with all the things that are happening,
Josh and I are literally just peoplein the world. We have jobs.
While we do enjoy doing this sometimeswhen the going gets tough, we

(09:54):
just need to take a little bitof a break. So yea, But
I do enjoy this. I dobecause it does help me, I guess,
reorient my creativity. It does allowme to think about this in a
different way. It does allow meto kind of speak on this platform and

(10:20):
still share news that or discuss newsthat I really enjoyed, still talking about
Correct, sometimes you need an escape. Sometimes you need to escape and talk
about men in their pajamas punching eachother. Yes, yes, yep,
yes, that's what happens. That'swhat happens. Absolutely, and women there's
sometimes there are women in there.Sometimes there's children. There's a lot of

(10:43):
women in there actually now that theythink about it. And children, correct,
and children and children just beating eachother up. That's exactly what we're
about here at AC Podcasts. Yes, absolutely, orphans with parent issues and
all the things. God ain't thisYeah, mental health episode, this is

(11:07):
it, this is this is it. Guys. You know what Batman is
actually about the mental health of yourbrain? And what did you do if
you know you became an offend?Did you see that tweet? I think
it was a news bit that DCannounced that basically, being Batman is a
superpower. Batman is just Batman.He's he's just everything. He's he's a

(11:35):
he is the Knight. Okay,he can do whatever. He is the
Knight. He is bad, hehas vengeance. He is Batman. He
is Robert Pattinson. I can't waitto see more of that. Dude.
Every single time I think of thattrailer, I'm just like, this is
gonna be a good movie. Thisis gonna be a great movie. Everyone

(11:56):
knocked it. I was just like, I don't think you really need to.
Yeah, I think he just tobe patient and just give it all,
you know, let it do itsthing. Listen. I think it's
gonna be fan fantastic. And guesswhat, Jase Zoe Krafftz is Catlovan.
I mean, yes, that too. But had that movie come out in

(12:16):
twenty twenty one, because I highlydoubt it's going to more than likely twenty
twenty two, probably, But doyou know where it would end up if
it came out in twenty twenty one. You are the master of Segways.
Listen. We got to keep thethings rolling somehow, Master of Segways,
please continue. They would end upon HBO Max because we got a massive

(12:41):
drop from Warner Media this week. They are setting the entire twenty twenty one
slate to debut on HBO Max alongsidecinemas, which is rediculous. To be
fair, It's for a one monthperiod, so essentially for the first month

(13:05):
the movie is out, it willbe out in theaters as well as HBO
Max. You can choose to goto the theater to go watch it if
it's playing near you. If not, you can watch it from the comfort
of your home on HBO Max.That is insane. That is insane.
And if this like all right,so first of all, let's talk about

(13:26):
like what movie what movies are comingout in twenty twenty one, and which
of these we were going to gosee in theaters? Okay? Ye,
So right now we have Denzel Washingtonand I'm reading this from Deadline by the
way, so we have Denzel Washington'sThe Little Things, Judas and The Black
Messiah. So so far, Idon't know if I was going to watch

(13:48):
those two, but that if,I mean, if they're coming out on
HBO Max, I will check themout. How we got the Tom and
Jerry movie, which that trailer wedidn't talk about the trailer, but I'm
like, I don't know if Iwant to talk about the trailer. But
anyway, we got Tom and Jerry. This is what I've been waiting for.
Godzilla versus Kong is we need totalk about that too. Actually,

(14:11):
there hasn't been a trailer for it, and I need one right because I've
been waiting for this. I completelyforgot that this movie was even in development
because I haven't heard anything about itin so long Mortal Kombat, so they
are rebooting Mortal Kombat. I rememberreading like casting news about it. I

(14:33):
don't know, it feels like, well, twenty twenty alone already feels like
thirty years. But it's been awhile since I've heard about it. Forgot
it was happening. But if it'scoming on twenty twenty one, I'm all
for it. Yep, those whowish me dead, I do not know
what that film is. I don'tknow what that is either. Yeah,
but another movie that I would belooking forward to. The Conjuring. The
Devil made me do it. Conjuring, by the way, I don't think

(14:56):
we've ever sat down and talk aboutconjuring the country of the universe. I
actually really like those movies. They'refun. I've never actually seen it.
Yeah, oh, we should doit. We should do a comrade on
the first one. I will definitelyrewatch it. It's so good. Yeah
in the heights, which which Iwant to see it. I do remember
that it was supposed to come outwhat like a month ago or something,

(15:18):
or you're supposed to come about thisyear, and they moved it right summer.
That was Yeah, there were goingThat was one of the movies that
that was supposed to that they movedA classic to be made. We'll see,
I don't know see if it livesup to the hype of the original
Space Jam a new legacy. Imean, listen, it'll be bad.

(15:39):
Now we don't have to pay moneyto see it. Probably we can just
watch it at home. So tobe fair, when I say it's gonna
be bad, I also mean thatSpace Jam was also like you stop talking
right now. Listen, I'm afan of the movie. I'm allowed to
call something bad and still be afan of it. I'm not saying it's

(16:00):
garbage, but it's not the bestmovie. Space Jam is a classic.
It's not deserves to be put ona pedestal over over Jurassic Park. Yes,
no, don't you even dare see. Now that's the blasphemy I'm talking

(16:21):
about. Like I can look atsomething critically and say something it's objectively good,
objectively bad, But no, inmy mind and my heart that it
has no bearing on whether or notI enjoy it. You know what,
Listen, you give me space, jam, I will give you rampage.
Moving on, we also have theSuicide Squad. I also know that a

(16:42):
rampage is really bad. It's ahorrible film, but I still enjoy it.
Nope, it's a horrible film.Suicide Squad, The suicide Squad,
excuse me, reminiscence was Mount Mountmagnantignant, malignant? There's a word,

(17:03):
words are hard? Uh oh,this is a This is a one that
I did want to see as well. Dune obviously June was supposed to come
out this month, and then nowthey pushed it. They pushed it to
what was it, March this even? Yeah? Anyway? Uh? Many

(17:25):
Saints of Newark, King Richard,Crime, Macho. And then of course
the yet completely titled Matrix for untitledyeah or untitled Matrix Core because who knows
if it'll have a re subplot likethe last two films. That'd be cool

(17:47):
if they kind of they kind ofkept that, or if they just did
a completely new thing to say that, Hey, this is a separate type
area. I don't know what ifMatrix for is like on a new platform
or a new operating system, wherelike Matrix one, two, and three
happened on a PC platform and thisone will happen on like the MAC platform.

(18:07):
I mean, is it running bigsir? I hope not, because
then it's going to crash all thetime. So those are the handful of
films that will be coming out.I don't know. Is that the full
slight or is that just because thatfeels like yeah, I was about to

(18:29):
say that feels like way too little. It moves to be the full slight.
I think that's just the highlights thehighlights, Yeah, exactly. Um,
so I am excited, very excited. Uh, this could potentially be
a game changer in what way? Please explain? Yeah? So, I
mean if this model proves to gowell, like, if more people sign

(18:52):
up for HBO Max to watch thesefilms, what is the point of going
to a theater? Obviously? Nowfor me personally, I love going to
the movies right, because I liketo experience being in a theater setting.
I like to experience the big bigscreen, excuse me, big silver screen.

(19:22):
I like sitting in a little comfeechair with my little popcorn there.
I just like the whole experience withthe surround sound and everything, because that's
how I've always experienced new films whenever. Perfect example, Bill and Ted.
When we watched it earlier this year, I loved it because I love Bill
and Ted. But at the sametime, it wasn't the same experience as

(19:44):
there wasn't a theater because I wasliterally just chilling in my pajamas on my
couch, just like all leaned overand I'm like, Okay, I'm enjoying
this because obviously I'm home. Iwould have liked to see this like on
a big screen. You know.I just wanted that experience, right,
and I missed that. I missedthat right now because there haven't been any
movies coming out. I was hopingthat I'd be able to do it for

(20:07):
wonder Woman. Obviously that has changednow. Wonder Woman is coming out on
HBO Max along with all of theseand theaters. By the way, the
well watch it in theater it's stillcoming out in theaters. But then here's
the kicker. As much as Ilove this experience, why would I go
out and pay money? I mean, I have AMC stubs, so I
won't necessarily be paying for it,But why would I go out and pay

(20:30):
money to do that when a bunchof us and you know, we're being
safe, social distancing and all thatstuff. But I would say, like
maybe four to five of our friendscan all just be chilling in the living
room and just watch the movie. So you have very interesting points. And

(20:53):
yes, this is a game changerfor a multitude of reasons. And context
is a very important thing that wediscuss on the show for reasons because if
you don't have context, we reallydon't know why something is here or why
something is happening. Also, it'sthe name of our show. It's also
the name of the show though gobranding. However, I've noticed that while

(21:17):
this is good, I don't knowif we have really the full story.
What I'd like to have happened inan ideal situation is this is something that's
being done for twenty twenty one tokeep life, the industry, business moving,
so we don't have to keep pushingthings back, because the reality is,

(21:37):
we can't keep pushing things back, can't. You have to have been
doing it. Yeah, we notonly have to move on, but you
get yourself into this funnel because projectsare being approved, movies are being developed,
movies are being filmed and edited andscored and completely created. But if
you don't release them out intil thewild eventually have all of these gems and

(22:02):
thinkers and all of these films thatare just kind of sitting there. That's
not how nature works. Nature workswith the flow, right, So if
these movies are in coming into fruitionby being released anywhere, whether it's in
the theater platform or a streaming platform, we're going to be wasting money.

(22:26):
So these films are going to needto go out somehow, someway, and
it may not be realized, andI guess the way that they had anticipated
or ever and we anticipated. Butthe movies have to come out. So
what happens to theaters now. Theaterscould be reeling back from this, Theaters
may collapse from this. Theaters mayalso thrive from this. In an ideal

(22:48):
situation, I would hope that ifWarner Brothers is doing this, they very
much need theaters, and when allthis is over, because I'm confident that
it will be, I'm hoping thatthey will go back to the way it
used to be, because theaters arenecessary aspect of the moviegoing experience, and

(23:10):
not for like these old, silly, nostalgic reasons you were mentioning before Godzilla
versus Kong. Yeah, I cantell you right now. I can see
that on my television and I wouldhave no problem launching that. But there
is nothing that anybody in the worldcan tell me that that movie wouldn't be

(23:33):
infinitely better in a theatergoing experience.Correct. I neither have the screen nor
do I have the theater system forsound to facilitate watching an experience like that.
I want to go to a moviebe fast and furious Godzilla versus Kong.
I want to see explosions. Iwant to see highlights, actions which

(23:56):
can only be provided in the theaterexperience. So if anybody's telling me,
like, yep, theaters are goingaway, I don't know if they're really
thinking about the full picture. Idon't know. I hope that I personally
hope they don't, but I hopeand I think at the same time,
you know, this. If thisdoes well, like I can see other

(24:18):
companies kind of jumping on. Idon't at the end of the day,
I don't think theaters will go awayone hundred percent, but I think what
can happen. It's kind of theyou kind of get a flip side.
So right now you're seeing companies takingtheir films and putting them on their own
streaming services. Right I can honestlysee if this does perfectly well and the

(24:45):
theater isn't the same as it usedto be anymore, but it could turn
into something like, oh, wehave Disney theaters that will show Disney films
in a theater setting. You haveWarner Brothers that has theaters that will show
Warner Brothers specific films, So thetheaters become changed for the actual you know,

(25:11):
distributors. I don't think that's goingto happen. I really don't think
that's going to happen in an idealsituation. So like if you but like
you know, if you want tostill experience the theater setting, you would
go to that specific distributors theater andwatch the film there versus well, yeah,
but there are things that happen inthe theater going experience, because if

(25:36):
that were the case, and thesecompanies would have bought the theaters a long
time ago and done in house advertisements, well remember there was there was.
The thing is there was no platformfor that before. But now that they're
doing this, a AMC is likehurting badly. So is Regal so like,
and so are many other theater teamsthat are much right less well known

(26:00):
as those right but but you know, I'm just using those too as an
example. But the reason that youknow that hasn't happened before is because they
were thriving. They were fine. They're not fine anymore. I really don't
think theater chains were ever really thriving, or a number of reasons. We're
not going to get into that. This has never happened before, though,

(26:21):
right to the point where right wherethey're literally about to close almost So here's
what I believe could happen in anideal situation. If it's happening, I'll
be thrilled. If it's not happening, putting it out there, I wish
they'd do, would consider if they'redoing something like this in Warner Brothers,
where they're releasing movies at the sametime or a month period. I think

(26:48):
they should partner up and give apercentage to theaters as a lifeline to keep
it open. So if you releaseWonder Woman in and you're releasing it on
HBO Max, seventy five of peopleare not interested in going to theaters because
it's safety concerns and all that stuff, that they go watch it streaming.

(27:11):
A segment of the proceeds will goto theater chains just to keep it open.
And it's a temporary deal until thingsget back to normal, and then
once it's over that stops. Sure, and you know, you could do
it for the year, and iffor whatever reason, COVID is still a

(27:33):
thing, or if it's getting worse, you renew it for another year.
Because the movies are still being made, so it's not like you're going to
run out of movies. You know, actors need to work, you know,
directors need to make film cast andCrewe needs to continue being part of
this business. So I'm glad themovies are being made. I think it
would be wise you givvy up thepercentage to theaters, right, yea,

(28:00):
they can continue to thrive. Nowwhat does that percentage look like? I
have no idea. I'm not anumbers guy. So, but I do
know that it would not be wiseto have a Disney theater chain a Warner
Brothers movie chain, because then it'sgoing to be anti competitive, because then
Disney could say, well, we'regoing to purchase you know, twenty five

(28:21):
percent and then of theater chains orcreate you know, all the theater chains,
and that's going to be competitive becauseare they just going to show movies
made by them? Right? Idon't know if that's why is because you
know, if you have a theaterthat's owned by Disney and they're only showing
Disney films and I want to watch, you know, Space Jam for instance,

(28:45):
I don't know if that's why ishe can't be I don't know if
companies will do that. I don'tthink that they will do that because there's
a lot of other factors that needto be accounted in for that, because
now it's going to be anti competit did theater chains, they are going
to be spreading out all over theplace. You know, if you're going
to show let's say Tom and Jerryinside of the Disney theater, you know,

(29:10):
what's the percentage there? I justthink that's just too messy. I
think it's clear that movie companies needmovie theaters as part of the process.
They absolutely provide things that people athome simply just don't have. I love
sound systems. I currently don't haveone because of my living arrangement. I

(29:30):
would love to have one, loveto But you know, I want to
watch Godzilla versus com in theaters.I don't know if it's going to happen
in twenty twenty one. I hopeit does. I hope the numbers come
down. I hope people are healthy. I hope life returns back to normal
so I can get to experience that. And there's a lot of other things

(29:51):
that happen with a movie going experience. You know, it's much more memorable.
I remember going to see Independence Dayin theaters again. Is it the
best movie in the world? No, But did I enjoy the heck out
of it? Absolutely? You know. I remember the popcorn that I ate,
I remember who I went with,I remember you know, before and

(30:11):
after. But like Bill and Ted, I couldn't tell you what day I
saw it. No, I can'ttell you. I couldn't not tell you.
I couldn't tell you what I waswearing. I couldn't tell you,
you know who I talked to beforethen or after then, because it's just
some of the day, you know, they drop in and you're like,
oh it's out today. I can'twatch it today because I'm busy, tired.
Maybe I'll watch it later, orI'll pause it. That's another thing

(30:33):
that you can't do in theaters. You can't pause it. And then the
pros and cons. I don't know, I don't I don't know. I
really hope theaters come out of this, And if there's anybody that's going to
keep theaters alive, it should bethe movie studios. Sure, I agree,
but I don't know. I mean, we don't know right like this
is this could just hopefully be thething for twenty twenty one. We don't

(30:56):
know how successful this will be,although I feel like it will be pretty
successful. Um, well, youwant it to be successful. Warner Brothers
wants to be successful. Well, think about it if if if Warner Brothers
is unsuccessful, then everyone is losingmoney, right, Actors and actresses aren't
getting paid, Directors aren't being paid, movies aren't not going to be continued

(31:18):
to be made if no one isprofiting off of movies. So in order
for the industry to stay alive, you gotta make money, right. I
want to know where's what the increasein subscribers is going to be. Yeah,
I'm concerned about that too. It'sgonna be massive, But we do
we really know what subscribers really mean. Like, we know Netflix has the

(31:41):
most and as it looks like,as of October, they have thirty eight
million subscribers. Okay, and DisneyPlus has seventy five let's find o Disney
Plus. Uh, Disney Plus blowsbacks expectations for its first year with seventy

(32:06):
three point seven million. That wasas of November twelve. Okay, and
Netflix has what one hundred and fiftymillion Netflix Netflix Q? No, that's
twenty nineteen Okay, one hundred andfifty one. So I was right pretty
much on all of the stats.I don't even know why I would know

(32:27):
those stats, but I do verypotted myself. But okay, so we
know subscribers, we know the price, but we don't really know how that
money is being divided. We didn'tknow it before. But subscribers going up
is great. Yeah, for sure, you know, if you think about
it, I apologize hundred fifty eighthOkay, I'm still in the ballpark.

(32:51):
But the price of a movie ticketis good for the moment. The price
of subscribers for the month is goodfor the month. Though. Yeah,
it's similar in a way, andsubscribers going up can only be beneficial.
I just I really hope, Imean really, Like, who's going to
support the theater chains? Amazon wasin talks to purchasing AMC for a while,

(33:15):
but I think that fell through. If there's anybody that can buy a
theater chain, it's gonna be Amazon. Can I use Prime to get tickets?
I don't know, man, Idon't know. Like their business model
is also strange. I mean theyhave Prime so you can go to Whole
Foods and save a percentage on thefood you buy there, exactly. I

(33:39):
don't know. It's weird, it'sit's it's a it's a weird place to
be in And I think everyone ishoping for twenty twenty one to be here,
and I'm like, twenty twenty oneis going to be equally as weird.
I was about to say, donot do you realize that the at
least the first half of twenty twentyone is just going to be a continuation
of right now, right right,Like you do realize this just because the

(34:00):
clock turns to twenty twenty one doesn'tmean it's going to be instantly like better,
which is unfortunate, but that's theway life is. But you know,
we'll see what happens with this, with this slate. I'm still excited
for it because you know, we'regonna watch Wonder Woman. I'm assuming we're
both watching it on HBO Max.Is that correct? Absolutely, yeah,

(34:22):
exactly. I wanted to go tothe theater. I planned on it with
a few different people, but afterhearing this, we're pretty confident we're just
gonna chill in the living room andmake a lot of popcorn and at home
and watch Wonder Woman and from thecomfort or couch. So that's, uh,
that's what we're looking forward to fromWarner Brothers. However, we have

(34:45):
some news on the Sony side ofthings. Yeah, they're doing their own
film. You're not doing the slateof films, but they're doing their own
film, a film that I thinkit's been rumored, well not rumored,
but it's been like tossed around fora while. Right. I feel like
we heard about this a while awhile ago, but now we have a

(35:06):
face to put with the film, and that film, Jase is Metal of
Your Solid yea based on the nineteenninety eight video game of the same name
by Hideo Kajima. Yep, wehave mister He's everywhere now. I feel
Oscar ice for him. Yeah,I mean good for him. Yeah,

(35:27):
he's getting work, so listen, good for him. Oscar Isaac is going
to be Solid Snake in the film. So we have our mister Snake.
I feel like Sony is drunk withpower and they are very slowly building the
Sony PlayStation cinematic universe. Oh mygod. Yeah, they're doing it,

(35:52):
dude, They're doing it. They'redoing it. So we have so currently
the the film Slash series that theyhave going on. We got two from
Naughty Dog. We got Uncharted, which is which is finished filming. We
have the Last of Us, whichwill be starting productions soon. And then
we have casting news for Meddal GearSolid they are PlayStation Studios is going all

(36:15):
out right now. Yeah. SoI'm going to have a confession, which
I think I've said on the showbefore, but we're gonna have the confession
over again. I've never played anyof the Medal Gear Solid missing Out dude.
That's so that's a great game.So listen when I got the PlayStation

(36:38):
Classic and when I did a reviewfor it, which you can find on
on frisky context dot com. Bythe way, um, I started playing
it. So I started playing iton the PlayStation Classic, and I'm like,
these controls are wonky, um,because you know back then, I
was like, yeah, of coursethey're wonky nineteen ninety eight. Uh.

(36:58):
But I only got like, Idon't know, like maybe twenty twenty five
minutes. But I was very surprisedat how cinematic it was for the first
twenty minutes, and I was like, oh, this is actually like like
if this was you know, remasteredfor today, like it would feel like
the beginning of N Charted or something. Yeah. Um, So I was

(37:20):
very surprised about that. And youknow, there's so many games and they're
so long. Yeah, and it'sHideo Kajima, so I know they're gonna
be weird. Yeah. So Ithere's gonna be there has to be a
time where I have no games, like no new games, and I want
to like start from the beginning andthen play them all. I think I

(37:44):
want to pick up the collection thatcame out on p S three. Um,
so I can kind of play itslightly remastered with updated visuals. But
if not, I can play theoriginals. Like I don't have a problem
with that. But what do youthink about this? Because you're you've played
them correct, I played some ofthem. I haven't played all of them.

(38:06):
Remember playing part of the original Ithink I got stuck somewhere and I
never got back to it. ButI did play the middle Gear Solid I
came out for PlayStation two. Ifinished that game. That game was fun.
So Nope, it wasn't that.It was Metal Gear Solid too.
There was a sequel. It wascalled Sons of Liberty, right and not?

(38:30):
In context? Was part three?Yes, that was Part three,
and in Part three I don't thinkI evergot I think I wanted to.
But yeah, metal Gear Solid too, I did have and I did very
much enjoy that game. It wasvery challenging, you did have to be
stealthy, and the graphics were infinitelybetter than the one they had for the

(38:50):
predecessor. But in my mind Ialways thought that Metal Gear Solid was a
game that was in the early nineties, but obviously it was wrong. So
Yeah, it was. I lovedit. It was a great game.
As a matter of fact, Ithink I might just load up my old
PlayStation two and played again. Butin any case, it's a stealth games,

(39:12):
and you know, ask you tothink a little bit differently about how
you approach the situation, because whenyou play a game like Uncharted, you
can be stealthy there. But it'snot the same. It's really not the
same. Yeah, so they werefun, They're very enjoyable. I'm surprised
they haven't like remade them today. It would require a great bit of care

(39:37):
and precision, and you know, you want to make sure that you get
it right. So now when yousay remake, you mean like an actual
remaster or like rebooting. Maybe rebootingit, I don't know. I don't
really know. I think either wayI would be happy. But re like
recreating the first three games would bemassive undertaking, is there. I just

(40:01):
don't think that there would be somethings that would just land well without giving
too much away, because there aresome things that happened in the first game
that require you to think a littlebit outside the box, and I'll just
leave it at that. That's fair. And then for the game, side
of things. We have not hada middle Gear game since twenty fifteen when

(40:22):
Mado Gear Solid five The Phantom Painreleased. I guess you can kind of
count middle Gear Survive in twenty eighteen, but who really counts that. So,
and then there's a Solid Stink thatcame out for Super Smash Brothers,
and I know you really can't putthem in there, but I mean it's
a notable edition. It is anotable edition. Listen, if they make

(40:46):
these films and they're successful, andif Nintendo starts making these films and they're
successful, and they culminate into SuperSmash Brothers the movie, with all the
movies coming together Avenger style, Iwould not be, you know, opposed
to any of that. Okay, first of all, that's never gonna happen,
but you don't know that. Nope, it's not that happened. And

(41:07):
the reason the reason why I willmake an addendum, I will make a
change to my statement as soon asNintendo decides to make a real Super Mario
Brothers movie. I mean they're doingit, I mean, animated one whatever.
I just doesn't have to be liveaction. Clearly, you have to
be live action. I don't carethat action. Clearly, movie studios don't

(41:30):
care about putting live people next toa cartoon because I keep doing it for
whatever reason. Yeah, so youcan have the you know, animated Mario
brother next to freaking oar Oscar Isaacsaw Na. It'll be yeah, it'll
be fine. I just you know, and nobody will batten eye because it's

(41:51):
Super Smash Brothers. Nobody. Um, yeah, I just I know.
I know you did, I knowyou very well. But in any case,
the Mario Brothers that we got withat his Hopper, which we are
not talking about right now. Listen, I already told you episode one on
one is going to be Camarac forSuper Smash Brothers. Nope, because you

(42:13):
said you wouldn't do it for thefirst hundred cool one on one Nope,
Nope, Dope, don't don't.Nope, it's happening. Nope. You
say it's happening. I say it'snot. It's happening. I'm excited for
it. I I like Astacar Isaac. I wish his role was a little
bit more well defined in the StarWars movies, but we're not going to
get into that either. They flynow, Hey fly, they fly now?

(42:37):
God he would have been a goodDrake. I feel like too.
I mean he dressed up part heliterally he literally looked like Drake in Part
three in that in that scene,Nathan Philly needs to come into a cameo.
I would love Nathan philliing to bea cameo in that. Love that
he was robbed and he's he's wearingwhat he or in like that short film,

(43:00):
which is basically Nights Closed from forLike, that film is great.
I would love that. Anyways,as Isaac, congratulations, I hope that
the film will be good. I'malso hoping because okay, so hold on,
I am reading this is also fromDeadline. By the way, We're

(43:22):
getting a lot of things from Deadlinebecause they're very good at their jobs,
and so I'm just reading here reallyquickly to see if PlayStation Studios is also
part of it. I would imaginethey are if Sony's the one distributing it.
My hope is that, just likethey got Naughty Dogs input for Uncharted

(43:43):
and you know, Druckman's input forthe Last of Us, I am hoping
hoping that they will get some typeof input from Kajima um and Hope and
you know, here's the thing youhave to make this movie appeal to the
normal people. So I'm sorry,Kajima. I love you. You are

(44:07):
a freaking genius. You are anincredible man. But there are some things
that you do, dude, alittle much for the normal person. So
get input from Kijima. Yes,don't get everything from Kijima. I think
there's it's this interesting because yeah, you play games, we know this.

(44:30):
You know the Kingdom Hearts and yeah, you know the Moura. I think
there's just some things that we acceptas normal. But when we look at
it from like outside perspective and context, I was like, this is pretty
weird. Actually, So if theyever do a Kingdom Hearts, you know,
show her movies in the future, cool talk to tomorrow. It's fine.

(44:50):
Get input from him. Do notget everything because we don't want this
movie to be the freaking butterfly effect. We don't want a mind freak going
out here. Have like a subtleone, but don't let this be six
cents where you know, Bruce Schoolshas been dead the whole time. Just

(45:10):
you don't need that big of amind a free Yeah, let me tell
you replaying Kingdom Hearts theory. AfterI played most of the Kingdom Hearts.
Now. I have to say therewas a point in the game when they
revealed the new organization thirteen, andI said, uh so, exactly how
many Zayonwards are there? Because alot of zaan orts it's basically Voldemort.

(45:35):
It's Boldemort. It's Voldemort on likespeed. Oh yeahs. Instead it's just
him, yeah, from different Theybasically gave the plot for Star Wars.
Yeah, that dude. Dude didthe sequel trilogy. That's what I'm trying
to say. Yeah, very interesting. Man, Kajima is weird, Tomorrow

(45:59):
is weird. But they're both geniuses. They're both geniuses, and we usually
are afraid. It's like musk, please stop. I'm just saying anyway,
all right, uh, moving on. We have some Marvel news, because
when do we ever not have marveled? When we not? We always needed

(46:22):
to. You know, I almostbrought up Marvel earlier, but then well
no, I said, Avenger style, never mind, we already brought it
up. You know what, thishas been destroyed. Hayley Steinfield's kay,
Bishop, there we go, whichwe're glad. We're glad this was for
a while. Now she denied it. We were like, you're lying,

(46:44):
and she's a kay Bishop, Soit's definitely hasn't been officially confirmed yet either,
mind you been She's yeah, she'sa stand in. She's just standing
in the officially, however, thereare set photos of her next to Jeremy
Renners, so yeah, cats outof the back? Is it out of

(47:07):
the bag? Though? It is? I mean, what else is she
doing there with a bow and arrownext to the German runner stand in and
the dog and the dog? Soit's it's good to see this because we
used to have these wonderful announcements fromKevin Faggy explaining all the stuff that's going

(47:27):
to be happening, but we haven'tbeen really getting that. As a matter
of fact, there's a lot ofnews that has been coming out and then
the news has been I guess eitherrecanted or then they start becoming playing coy
with it, So we don't reallyknow what's been happening, which makes this
job really hard because nothing has everbeen really confirmed. Jamie Fox is playing

(47:50):
Electro, then he's like is he? Though you don't really know? And
then Tantiana Malzani was supposed to beplaying She Hulk and then she said we
don't really know, so we don'tSo now is she really and then we're
just gonna wait for the set phototo come out. If the set photo

(48:12):
comes out, who knows. Wedon't really know. Patiana Malslani, that
actually could be released and we maynot know until he actually appears on screen.
Yeah, you know, when itcomes to Hailey Steinfeld, I think
a lot of whether or not shewas actually going to do it was because
she was in starring and filming ina show, so she had prior engagements

(48:37):
that needed to be fulfilled. Inthe Apple TV Plus series Dickinson, which
is actually, by the way,if you guys listening have not checked it
out, it's actually a pretty goodshow. Great. I like it.
Yeah, I have not watched ityet, so pretty good. We'll take
Well, the only reason I watchit was because of her. It's pretty
good. She's great, she's atgreat actress, she's great. She is

(48:58):
great. But I am glad tosee these set photos. But we can
either confirm or deny that she's actuallyon the show. I mean, you
know, photos say one thing, but the actual release, when she's actually
credited at the end of the TVepisode, that's what we will know for
sure. I mean or a traileror a trailer. I mean, but

(49:23):
you know, listen trailers. No, the trailers actually do change. You
remember there was a movie that cameout with Kevin Spacey. That's a different
story. Don't just saying don't.I just trailer came out, it was
official, and then it was verynot official. That is a hundred percent
a completely different scenario. I waskidding, I know what you're talking about.

(49:45):
I was just saying, sometimes thetrailers are not official. There are
jokes that you could make and statementsyou can make. That's not one of
them. I just made that joke. I can't do it. Cannot do
it. You just got Kevin spacesee. Oh god, don't make that
a thing. Please. Oh yeah, I don't. I wish I could
take that back home. Why wouldyou? As you were saying it,

(50:07):
you were just like no, itescaped from my left. So I was
like, I want to take itback. Like, no, it's too
late. My brain has already startedthe process of saying it. So so
yeah, State Side Field, BishopKate Bishop with the copsin looks great,
with petson looks great. It doeslook great, and it's interesting because whenever

(50:31):
we talk about set photos, it'susually like five to ten minutes because like
we can't really talk more about photosbecause it's just a photo. So yeah,
I remember, remember when everyone wentcrazy over the Batman photos set photos.
Everyone's like, that looks like crap, and then the trailer came out
it looked amazing. Yeah, sothere you gotson. Looks great. I

(50:52):
don't send Megan that It's gonna lookeven better when we actually get some moving
images. So they tuned for more. I guess yeah, once we get
an official announcement in or trailer.Yes, And so there's some other news
and I guess we talked about thison and off, but Disney Plus is

(51:14):
a service that Josh and I bothhave. We love talking about it as
well. And seventy yep, yep, we just learned that. I learned
it a little bit before you.But that's fine. I'm just saying I'm
just trying to grow here and diminishedit entirely. Thank you, just trying

(51:35):
to I'm not I'm not not I'mjust teasing. I'm teasing. I'm not
not not that rude anyways, Rocklandto tell him it's nothing to me anyway,
So Disney Plus has actually removed twofilms. One film which was only
there legitimately for a month, whichis Maleficent. It was there the second

(51:59):
rub the original one. It wasthere from October first to October thirty first,
and then it disappeared. There wasno announcements. Nobody even realized it
was gone until a month later.I didn't really like the Yeah, because
I was looking for it, becauseI had it on my list. I
say, I can't find it.I went online, I googled it,
sat there, clicked it not availablein my region. Very upset, very

(52:21):
very upset. So this would bethe part where I would say we're sponsored
by Express VPN. If we wereactually sponsored by them, people said,
you could wo, man, you'rejust shooting all the shots today, aren't
you listen. I that just thatneeds I want to be sponsored kind of
Express VPN. Let's go. Yeah, you're right, You're absolutely right.
So in any case, well,Invicent has been removed. We have no

(52:45):
idea what it's going to come back, because Disney Plus doesn't like letting people
know that something is leaving or ifit's ever going to come back. We
don't actually know, We don't wereally like contexts here on the show.
Correct, we really he can't stressthis enough. If you don't get it,
We're lost. We're lost, andthis show cannot exist. So please
Disney help us exist. Uh,you know, they technically do help us

(53:08):
exist because quite literally eighty percent ofthe things we talk about are Disney.
Yeah, and sometimes EC. Wehope to get more of representation in the
future for DC, do we haveto We love you, DC, We
love you. So not only Maleficenthas been removed, but also the Wolverine,
which was something I was interested inwatching. I watched about half of

(53:30):
it and I will go up inthe morning. I watched in theaters that
I was watching it again, LikeI feel like we talked about that,
like we have predcast, yes,and the prehistoric days, the prehistoric day.
Yeah, the Wolverine has been removed. I'm pretty sure it's going to
another service. Who knows, ifyou go to the I don't know.

(53:52):
I mean it's a Fox movie,so it could potentially go back to HBO.
I mean maybe FX. Yes,but that was a century Fox so
unless they buy their rights completely back, I would really be interested in seeing
it is a Disney movie. That'swhat I keep trying to tell you.
Yes, the would be interesting tosee if any of the Marvel movies disappear,

(54:13):
because I'm pretty sure it would be. Oh, I hope. So
I don't think they will that thosemovies. I feel like our accent.
I feel like they know what moviesare access the most, and those are
probably at the tippy top. SoI doubt they'll go away like the entire
service. Yeah, I think so, absolutely, those are definitely So still

(54:34):
no word or through whether or notwe will get a rolling calendar or what's
coming and what's going, because weagain just want to know. Um.
And then there's this news which Iknow nothing about, so please yes.
So moving on from that, wewe've talked about games a lot on this
show. Yeah, And two gamesthat we've talked about I feel like tremendously

(55:01):
as of late are The Last ofUs and Uncharted. Both of these games
were developed by Naughty Dog. Yep, so I personally would say Naughty Dog
is probably my favorite developer. I'veliked them even before I knew who they
really were because Crash Bandicoot was myfirst PlayStation title when it was developed by

(55:27):
them. And Jack and Daxter isquite possibly my favorite franchise of all time
in terms of gaming, and I'vejust pretty much followed them and will follow
them no matter what they make atthis point. But Evan Wells, who
is the president of Naughty Dog currentlymade an announcement this week that he will

(55:53):
be joined by Neil Druckman is copresident. So Neil Drukman has been promoted
to co president of Naughty Dog.M Neil Drukman is responsible for, of
course being creative director on the Lastof Us Part one. I believe he

(56:15):
was co director on Uncharted four andthen of course story development, and I
want to say also creative director onLast of Us Part two. So he
has arguably made three of Naughty Dog'sbest games critically and probably and I think,

(56:36):
what's what's the other other word? Not critically but acclaimed. I guess
yeah, maybe, but like bythe masses, by people, by everyone,
widely received. Hey you go,that's the word. I guess.
I don't know we're going to usethat because I can't think of anyone.
Yes, it was very well receivedby everybody, essentially, So he's responsible

(56:57):
for some pretty pretty heavy things overthere on nay Dog. And now that
he's co president. That is prettysweet. Yeah, So, I mean
I hope that that he'll shape NaughtyDog going forward. I know a lot
of people don't like him though, like especially after the Last of Us Part
two. Oh my gosh. So, I don't know how that will affect

(57:22):
things. I don't think it'll affectthem much. I think it's temporary.
Yeah. I think if you didn'tlike the Last of Us two, that's
fine. You don't have to likethe Last of Us two, But you
can't ignore how big of an impactthat game had on the gaming world,
whether you like it or not,it had a huge impact. Yea,

(57:45):
so much so that the video Game'sawards are happening as of this recording next
week. I think Last of UsPart two is nominated in almost every single
category. Yeah, becoming when it'snot nominated in or things were like indie
titles. I mean, it's afantastic game. I don't. I mean

(58:07):
a lot of people. I mean, we can talk about spoilers, right,
we can talk about that. Soit's it's been Last of Us came
on what June We're Yeah, Ithink so Joel's passing was upsetting. I
don't think I had the reaction thata lot of other people had. Now,
I'm not saying I don't love Joel. I just I knew how Last

(58:29):
of Us ended, and I knowthat it's a post apocalyptic survival, you
know game, so there would bereally no reason for them to keep him.
Like, I understand the desire andI understand the relationship that many people
have towards Joel as as users. But when he died, yeah, I

(58:53):
was upset, but I wasn't likethreatening the company because they did that.
Like, I don't know what. It's almost like if I'm watching The Walking
Dead, the idea that the maincharacter survived as long as he did,
it's just almost like a farce becausewhile I understand it and I understand how

(59:16):
contracts work, and I understand howacting gigs and TV shows are produced and
canceled, it was just bizarre howhe would just survive to the next season.
It didn't make sense. It reallydidn't make sense. Didn't Rick Drive
a comment too? I believe hedid. I can't tell you for sure
because I haven't read it. Butwe can't keep things because they're convenient,

(59:40):
and when you have you know, these comic book stories where characters die and
they come back. That makes alittle bit more sense how somebody could just
stick around it. Maybe the actof dying doesn't have that much of a
consequence, which makes it all themore profound in these thematic movies because you

(01:00:00):
know, they're real people. Soobviously we can't keep recasting them because number
one, they're gonna get tired.Number two, they might die, which
is something we're currently dealing with. The topic way we may talk about in
a few minutes, but you knowwe kind of have to long and so
that changes the way that we tellthese stories and how we look to view

(01:00:22):
these stories. So needless to say, I thought it was a very bold
move when they decided to kill offJoel. Very bold move. But I
was also in a way expecting itbecause when he lied, I was like,
Oh, he's gonna go. He'sgonna go. He's gonna either be
very much injured or very much dead, even one of those two. I

(01:00:43):
had no expectations for him to makeit till the end of that game.
The only part where they surprised mewas how fast they did it. Yeah,
that was the I was like, whoa bold first, like fifteen minutes
of the game, okay, okay, and then we spend many hours playing

(01:01:05):
a totally different person, which waschallenging. You're still caught up on that.
It's challenging. I've played through thegame twice now, and and like
the second the first time, Iwas like, the second time, I
was like, I understand, Yeah, I mean, how else are you
going to do it? How elsewould you possibly do it? You know?

(01:01:28):
I think I hadn't mentioned before.I was like, if they did
it day by day, like youdo one character, or did you do
you have the character and the nextday you do one character and the other
character, I feel like it wouldhave been it as impactful. You're right.
So that's the only story that Iimagined that they could have told.
And while I'm pretty sure many peopleinternally said, I don't know that's I'm

(01:01:52):
going to be received very well, they probably were right. But worked worked.
Yeah, absolutely worked. I don'tknow where do we go from here?
Where do we go from here?I don't know. So there has
been rumors of so I have athis is an old book now at this

(01:02:12):
point, but I have a bookcalled the Art of Naughty Dog. This
book came originally came out I thinkright after. No, it's a little
bit before the Last of US two. M or it might have been after
Last of US I can't remember thebooks in the nice bookshelf, but there's
like there's like teases for like thenext game and stuff like that on there.

(01:02:35):
I want to say it was probablyLast of US two. Um.
But essentially that book had like conceptart for games that were canceled, out
of which was Jack four, wherethey tried to go like a more realistic
route. It didn't look the greatest, um, So I'm kind of glad
they didn't do that. Yeah. But there was also talk of a space

(01:03:00):
epic that they might do on Chartfive. Maybe in space. I mean
that is truly an uncharted area.Yeah. And then also there was talks
that maybe one day they might doa first person style game. M so
I would hate it. I'll see. So, I don't know where Naughty

(01:03:22):
Dog goes from here. I'm surethey're definitely already working on whatever they're working
on next. Yeah, but atthis point I've been following Naughty Dog for
this long. I'm on the rideuntil they're done, which I don't think
they're going to be done anytime soonnow, So I am with them to
the end of the line. Andyes that is another Marvel reference. So

(01:03:50):
yeah, we don't have that manytopics left. There is actually these two
other little things. Investors Day forDisney is actually coming up pretty soon.
I'm actually really excited because I'm reallycurious to see where Disney is going from
here. They are are talking pointsand things that I consume and things that
I would eventually like to become apart of. However, this is interesting

(01:04:14):
because the rumor is that Disney Plusand Hulu may be merging. Now I
think in theory, I think thisis a great idea, although there are
some fundamentals that are just going tobe challenging, primarily about how it was
initially marketed and how it was initiallyreceived. So Disney Plus when it came
out, was initially received as afamily oriented application. This came out a

(01:04:41):
little over a year ago. Itwas this new service that Disney was touting
for. Honestly, I felt likemonths and after the purchase of twenty century
Fox it became clear that that's reallywhat they wanted to do, just really
bolster they're streaming services and titles andintellectual properties. So now that it's here

(01:05:06):
a year later. We are nowin twenty ending of twenty twenty, we're
in the you know, in themiddle of a pandemic which is changing how
we do things. So it hasbeen stated multiple times that Disney is interested
in putting streaming first, which makessense. So if they're talking about streaming

(01:05:28):
services, we also have to takea look at Hulu. Now, Hulu
is just very interesting because it isprimarily owned by Disney. It did own
a significant you know share of Hulugo to twenty century Fox. When Disney
purchase twenty century Fox, they becamethe commanding shareholder, so I believe NBC

(01:05:50):
Universal actually sold their share. Soessentially, for all intents and purposes,
Hulu is now owned by Disney prettymuch. So if it's owned by Disney,
they now have these two services, and one is way more attractive than
the other. However, one hasmore functionality over the other. Hulu does

(01:06:11):
offer ad services, they do offerad free services, and they also offer
a live TV service yea. Theyalso have way more originals, way more
comprehensive programming, as well as adulttitles. Now, when I say adult
titles, I don't mean explicit.I'm just talking about anything about PG thirteen.

(01:06:33):
So if they're going to be merging, the question is what happens?
Are we just putting everything on Huluright over to Disney Plus that'd be easier
to manage. Definitely going to besome layoffs because there's a lot of people
at Hulu that have been running thatservice for years. And then I'm pretty

(01:06:55):
sure there's going to be a lotof different like streaming rights that are just
not going to be able to translatevery well. Who knows, you might
have a Hulu hub inside of it. I know they're probably going to be
adding, like you know, anadult section that has to be password protected
or pined controlled. Who knows. But I'm a big fan of consolidation,

(01:07:15):
a big fan. So if itmakes life easier, wonderful, do it.
I'm very much interested in this forsure. I mean I would be
interested too. And then also ifthey do decide to merge them and I
only have to pay one fee toget both, or or even a reduced
fee to have both and to keepmy AD free, because that's what I

(01:07:38):
pay for for Hulu, Now doit, I would gladly accept. Yeah,
I'm interested in it, I reallyam. I just actually signed up
for Hulu because they had a BlackFriday deal that I couldn't just say no
too. So I'm actually in theprocess of watching Animaniacs to reboot and it
is phenomenal. Oh that's not thesame nominal And yeah, who knows.

(01:08:04):
I mean at this time next year, you know, whenever, whatever episode
that we're on, I'm pretty surewe're going to realize, like, how
how wrong we were on this orhow right we were on this. I
think if you do enough episodes, you will eventually guess right. Right,
So we'll see, yeah, andthen there's our last topic correct talking about

(01:08:27):
right, Uh, let's see,I did it. I did it.
You Thank you so much. You'regrowing up. I know. There's Letitia
right and Letitia right. She's embroiledin what they call a scandal because she
was very active on Twitter very recently, and she has been reported to have

(01:08:50):
liked some anti baser videos concerning thecoronavirus, which is currently sweeping the world
right now, as well as likingsome very peculiar tweets, one of them
being specifically liking a tweet asking fora black panther too to be canceled.

(01:09:10):
Now, I just want to bevery clear. I feel like I'm tech
savvy you are as well. Sometimeswe are very good at it. Sometimes
we just care less. I couldcare less. Yeah, I think you
might be more into it than Iam sometimes. But in any case,
there are certain things in social mediathat just simply don't translate well. One

(01:09:36):
of those things being sarcasm. Sarcasmin person doesn't even work unless, of
course, you've established a relationship. So if I'm talking to you, Josh,
and I'm being sarcastic, here's awhole history of contexts that context you
would have in order for you todetermine whether or not I was actually being

(01:09:58):
sarcastic. And even in that moment, you would have to double check those
like easy beings are I don't know, let me ask, hey, but
yes, no, okay, okaygreat. So when it comes to Twitter,
and it comes to Facebook, whenit comes to just interacting with any

(01:10:19):
type of text based format for socialmedia, there are certain things that could
be said that can be very easilymisconstrued simply because you don't have their proper
context. Same thing happens over textmessages. So I don't know the idea
of liking a tweet that this callingfor the cancelation of Black Panther two.

(01:10:43):
Like, if that was the tweetand she liked it, I don't know
if I would necessarily read too muchinto that. I mean, you could
be scrolling in the middle of thenight and dozing off and just absolutely just
tapped the heart and like a tweetaccident. Is that a declaration as to
how she really feels? I reallydon't think so. You know, anti

(01:11:08):
vaxxers, I'm not a big fanof that idea. Vaccinations are important.
I agreebably get vaccined. You shouldtotally get vaccinated. And if you believe
that vaccinations are somehow intrinsically dangerous,it's fine. I'm not telling you that
you shouldn't have that. But like, what else could you provide to me

(01:11:30):
besides of Facebook video? Because Ifeel like a lot of these things and
again I could be wrong. Thisis just what I'm seeing because I have
read into this. You know,I think it's understandable that somebody wouldn't necessarily
trust vaccinations. I get it,But like, where are you getting your
information from? Facebook? I thinkit's important. Yeah, not Facebook.

(01:11:53):
Facebook is not not good for you. Just just stay away from Facebook.
But unfortunately, we are on Facebook. I think we're on Facebook, right,
I mean I have it. No, no, no, I'm talking
about the website. Oh yeah,we're there. Yeah, but we're there.
You know, it's just there.I don't update it as much as

(01:12:15):
I do the Instagram or the Twitter. Yeah, needs so in any case,
people have been responding very I guess, candidly to her claims in her
opinions, and there's really no placefor open dialogue, even though Twitter states
that's where the open dialogue happens. If you currently look for her Twitter handle,

(01:12:40):
you will not find her because sheor I'm not sure it's just you.
You can't find her. Let's justput it that way. We'll not
be able to find her. So, yeah, that's a thing that's happening.
So yeah, it's not it's news. It's weird news. I don't

(01:13:00):
just really know. Is there aconsequence of this? I don't know what's
happening with Black Panther too, rightnow? Does anybody know? I don't
think. I mean, we justfound out maybe Hayley Stanfeld is a bishop.
What does that do? A BlackPanther marvel? Yeah, but like
that's anyway, everything's under wraps,is what I'm trying to say. Yeah,

(01:13:26):
everything's under wraps, everything under thatnineteen ninety eight Disney Channel original movie
under Wraps. Got it. It'sa very obscure reference. If you know
that's that's so obscure, you weresuper reaching. Listen, that movie is
fantastic, it is. That's soold. It is very old. That's
old. Just the same. Listen, stop saying that, because then that

(01:13:49):
makes me old. That's your No, it's not you're old, it's it's
old. Yeah, but I waseight when it came out. Yeah,
happens when the years keep unrolling bybuddy. So I think that's all we
have for this, unless you havesomething else to add. I was never

(01:14:13):
good with math. I don't knowif I want to add anything. Wow,
course attract or multiply or divide thatall them math that you know,
just those four algebra day squared Bsquared C squared calculus you plust me equals
us co sign tangent co sign.Yeah you are going on a tangent right

(01:14:39):
now. See that's what you needto do. Look at that. That
was perfect. That was great.I like that one. Thanks you teach
me so well. Anyways, thanksso much for tuning in, I'll tell
