Check out our blogs. There's a lot that we could
do on these platforms, and it's all to glorify God
because on this podcast, we believe that the ungrafted word
is able to save our souls. Amen, Hallelujah. Well this

(01:58):
is our verse by verse break down of the Book
of John. We're gonna get into the Word of God
and we're gonna dig out the truth of the Word.
The truth is only things that will combat deception and lies. Amen.
So you have to keep the word and grafted in

(02:19):
our hearts. And today we're gonna be in John chapter eighteen,
John chapter eighteen, where things are getting intense. Right, Jesus
is about to be betrayed, arrested, and falsely accused. Yet
do it all he still remains in control. We're gonna

(02:41):
look at the power of surrender. To make sure you
grab your bibles, your notepads, and your highlighters because this
chapter will be challenging, and it's gonna challenge us and

(03:01):
how we look at betrayal, injustice and pain. We can
experience these things at any season in our lifetime. Amen,
So make sure you share, like, subscribe, let someone know

(03:23):
that we are live. Post it on social media on
your networks. Say hey, we are about to go live
on his our radio. Come check us out, share the
live chat. Let's do this together as a family. Let's
go before the Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank
you for another opportunity, another chance, another day, Father, to

(03:48):
lift up your holy name, and to walk with you
and to know you, and to get right with you.
Father God, help us ord to understand how you handled betrayal,
how you handle pain, and how you handled this situation.
And help us Lord to follow in your footsteps. Help
us God to forgive others, to throw off restraint, to

(04:12):
throw off bitterness and unforgiveness. We know that life can
be painful, life can hurt sometimes. But if we focus
on you, you will give us the grace to get
through this. We asked this in Jesus' name. Amen. All right,
So as we said, you know, we just got through

(04:34):
the last Supper, We just got through the high priestly
prayer of our Savior. Now we're gonna look at the
actual betrayal. We're gonna look at this time of testing
in the life of our Savior and how he came
out victorious. Amen. So in chapter teen, verse one, and

(05:03):
let's go all the way to the second verse, and
it says when Jesus had spoken these words, he went
forth with his disciples over the buck Kedron, where was
a garden unto the witch. He entered, and his disciples

(05:30):
and Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place for
Jesus oftentimes resorted hither hither with his disciples. Okay, I
guess I'm coming at you. I pulled up the old
King James. But that's all right, we're gonna world with it.

(05:56):
So the buck Kedron was often filled with the blood
from sacrifices during the passover. This is the brook. This
is where Jesus would oftentimes come and resort. As Jesus

(06:19):
crossed it, he was heading towards his own sacrifice. In
this situation, Judas knew where to find him because Jesus
never hid from those who sought him. Now that's pretty deep.
Jesus went straight to the place where betrayal was waiting.

(06:44):
He didn't run from the cross. He walked towards the cross.
Sometimes your gissemine your heartest place, which is also your destiny. Point.
Can thing back in my lifetime where I was working

(07:06):
for this company and I would get chills just walking
through the front door because of the opposition my co workers,
the secretary, just people listening to the gossip. I was
under some serious persecution. It was embarrassing, it was public,

(07:27):
but I had to put my uniform on every day.
I had to get dressed every day. I had to
go show up every day. If I was gonna provide
for my family, if I was gonna make this thing work,
I had to presser their and I had to go
through this season. It was not easy. It was embarrassing.
It would have been very easy to quit and not

(07:49):
show up. Sometimes, you know, people can get you in
that place, right, you know, when you're being persecuted. But thankful,
by the grace of God, I was able to press through,
and I actually ended up getting a promotion in a
three dollars pay raise. Heymen, there's no way I would

(08:13):
have gotten to that promotion if I didn't choose to
be obedient to Christ, to his word every morning. I
will proclaim it, I would pray for it. People wanted
me fired and complained about me, and I kept asking
for a promotion. I went straight against it. God will
do that for us, Amen, hallelujah. So this was his

(08:39):
time of testing. He was walking right to the cross.
Let's pick it up in three Judas. Then, having received
a ban of men and officers. Now look, he has
temporary power. He has a a moment of influence and

(09:02):
power from the chief priests and pharisees came hither, with
lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus, therefore, knowing all things
that should come upon him, went forth and said to

(09:25):
them what seeking the Jesus having received a detachment of troops.
Now this is a new king, James. Officers from the
chief priests and pharisees came there with lanterns, torches and weapons. Jesus, therefore,

(09:49):
knowing all things that which come upon him, went forth
and said to them, whom are you seeking? They answered him,
Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus, he said to them, I am he.
And Judas, who betrayed him, also stood with him. Then
when he said it to him, I am he, they

(10:13):
drew back and fell to the ground. Now this is
pretty amazing, noticed the divine authority. When Jesus spoke I am,
the same words God used in Exodus three fourteen, his
enemies fell backward. Even in arrest. He's revealing his deity

(10:39):
a man, he is revealing that he is God. When
Jesus speaks, even soldiers with swords hit the ground. This
is powerful, and this is power under control. Never mistake

(11:02):
humility for weakness. Jesus was still king even though they
were about to put him in chains. That's awesome. Verse
seventy nine. Then he asked him again, whom are you seeking?

(11:23):
And they said Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have
told you that I am he. Therefore, if you seek me,
let these go their way now. Even at his arrest,
Jesus protects his disciples, fulfilling his word that none of

(11:46):
them will be lost. Now that's interesting. Now, leaders let's
take notes. Real leadership means you step forward while others
are kept safe. Jesus covered his team even while being betrayed.
Now that's love, that's leadership. I don't think there's now

(12:09):
one person who wouldn't lay their life down for their
child or for their loved one. Sometimes you do have
to cover someone.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
It looks like you lost another one.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
In the midst of opposition, and Simon, Peter, having his
sword Verse ten and eleven, drew it instruct the high
priests servant and cut off his ear. The service name
was Malachus. So Jesus said to Peter, put your sword

(12:46):
into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which
my father has given me? Now Peter's reaction was fleshly zeal.
This is how we look when we're trying to serve
God in our own flesh and our own ability, in

(13:06):
our own power. He wanted to defend Jesus his way,
that Jesus was following divine strategy, the cup of suffering.
Sometimes we fight spiritual battles with carnal weapons. I've done
that so many times. Now, Jesus tells Peter put it away.

(13:32):
There is a time to fight, but this battle requires obedience,
not violence. Hey man, that's really good, all right. Verse
eighteen twelve through fourteen. I'm not going to read the

(13:52):
entire verse, but I'm going to highlight the important sections
right right here. And it says that Jesus is bound
and taken first to and h then to know I'm
gonna butcher these names. Uh, Cephist, I think that's how

(14:16):
you pronounce it. Who advised that one man should die
for the people? Now the irony is Cephists annoyingly prophesied
the truth Jesus would die for the people, but not politically,

(14:39):
it was spiritually. Even wicked people can speak truth, and
they can even speak the plan of God without even
realizing it. God will use whoever he wants to accomplish
his will. And that's proof. God can use an ungodly person.

(15:06):
He could use a sinner, a person who was not
even serving him to accomplish his will and his purposes.
That's why Israel, you said, get confused when judgment would come.
And those who would judge them were nations that were

(15:28):
worse than them. Babylon was a wicked, godless nation, and
they served false gods. But God used the nation in
Babylon to discipline is very people. God will use whom
he wants to use. Amen. Verse let me see fifteen,

(16:00):
Now verse twelve, let's go twelve and fourteen. I'm gonna
go ahead and read it. Then the band in the
captain and officers of the Jews to Jesus and bound
him and led him away to end us. First, for
he was father in law to cecrist which was the

(16:25):
high priest that same year. Now Cephist was he which
gave counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that
one man should die for the people. Amen. And Simon
Peter followed, and so did another disciple. That disciple was

(16:49):
known into the high priest and went in with Jesus
into the place of the High Priest. Amen. All right,
let me see, I think I lost my place here.
Let's go to Yeah, we should have been at fifteen.

(17:13):
Let's go to fifteen to eighteen. The simon Peter followed Jesus,
and so did another disciple. That disciple was known into
the High Priest, and went in with Jesus into the
place of the High Priest. But Peter stood at the
door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was

(17:40):
known into the High Priest, and spoke into her that
kept the door, and brought in Peter. Then said, the
damsel that kept the door. Unto Peter, art not thou
also one of his his this may disciples? He said,

(18:03):
I am not. And the servant and officers stood there,
who had made a fire of coals, for it was cold,
and they warned themselves, and Peter stood with them and
warned himself. All right. Now, now Peter follows Jesus at

(18:28):
a distance. He stands by the fire, warming himself with
the enemies of Christ. The downward path begins when you
follow Jesus from a distance. Peter's denials started with discomfort

(18:51):
and compromise. When you start blending in with the wrong
crowd just to stay warmed. Your fire for God grows cold.
When you say that again, when you compromise and you
start hanging out with the wrong crowd just to stay warm,

(19:13):
your fire for God begins to grow cold. Stay close
to Jesus, not just close to the fire Amen nineteen
and twenty four. The High Priest then asked Jesus of
his disciples and of his doctrine. Jesus answered him, I

(19:39):
spoke openly, openly to the world. I even talk in
the synagogue and in the temple. Whether the Jews always
resort and in secret? Have I said nothing? Why askest
thou me, asking which hurt me? What I have said

(20:01):
unto them? Behold, they know what I said. And when
he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by,
struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, answers
thou the High Priest. So Jesus answered him, if I

(20:24):
have spoken, evil, bear witness of the evil. But if
well wise, mightest thou me? Now Annas has sent him
bound unto Cephist the High priest. All right, now it's
starting to get real. Jesus is questioned, by the high priest.

(20:48):
When he answered truthfully, the officer struck him. Now, even
under abuse, Jesus maintains his dignity, Hallelujah. He does not retaliate.
He simply appeals to justice. This shows emotional control. Jesus

(21:15):
teaches us. Never let disrespect pull you out of your
divine character. Respond to it, but do not react to it. Hey, man,
that's the ministry, and to me right now in my situation,
we can respond to the situation, but don't react to

(21:42):
the situation. Amen. Twenty five through twenty seven. Simon Peter
stood and warmed himself. They said, therefore unto him, art
not thou also one of his deciple piples. He denied
it and said, I am not one of the servants

(22:07):
of the high priests, being his kinsman whose ear Peter
cut off, said, did not I see thee in the
garden with him? Peter then denied again, and immediately the
cock crew. Peter denies Jesus three times, just as Jesus

(22:33):
prophesied and predicted the rooster rose. Now Peter's denial. It
is heartbreaking, but it reminds us of human weaknesses. Apart
from the Holy Spirit, the attention from that apart from

(22:54):
the Holy Spirit, we are weak. I love Jesus, but
fear took over at this moment. We've all had those
rooster crow moments when conviction wakes us up. The good

(23:15):
news is that Jesus restores repented hearts. Amen, we need
to praise God for that Jesus can restore a repented
heart Verse twenty eight to thirty two. Then leed they

(23:39):
Jesus from secrists and keep messing his name up into
the hall of judgment. And it was early, and they
themselves went not into the judgment hall lest they should
be defiled, but that they might eat the passover. Pilot

(24:01):
then went out unto them and said, what occasion bringing
ye against this man? Or what accusation bring ye against
this man? The answer is said, unto him. If he
were not a male factor, we would not have delivered

(24:23):
him unto thee then said Pilot, unto them, take ye
him and judge him according to your law. You was
therefore said unto him, it is not lawful for us
to put any man to death. Wow, this is crazy.

(24:49):
Then the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spoke,
signifying what death he should die. Mmm. Now Jesus is
brought to Pilot. At this point, the religious leaders they

(25:10):
won't enter into the Roman hall because of ceremonial purity.
They felt that they would be defiled if they entered
the hall, and then they wanted to be able to
participate in the passover. Now they're worried about ritual while
plotting murder. Ain't that crazy? They're worried about being religious

(25:35):
outwardly righteous, but in their hearts they had murder. Religion
without relationship blinds people. You know what I mean. Religion
without relationship, It blinds people. This is what hypocrisy looks like.

(26:00):
Clean hands, dirty hearts. Never trade holiness for appearance. Let
me say this again, this is what hypocrisy looks like.
They wanted to have clean hands, they didn't want to
be defiled because of the ceremony, but their hearts were dirty.

(26:25):
Never trade holiness for outward appearance. Amen, Verse thirty three
all the way to thirty seven. Then Pilot entered into
the judgment haul again and called Jesus and said, unto him,

(26:49):
art thou the king of the Jews. Jesus answered him,
says that thou this thing of thyself, excuse me. I
know I'm stumbling over this old king, James. I'm used
to the new king. James. Well, let me read it again.
Jesus answered him. I'm saying, thou this thing of saith.

(27:14):
Jesus answered him, saith, thou this thing of thyself? Or
did others tell it thee of me? Amen? That's how
you say that. Okay, I'm gonna have to go to
the gym and work out on my old king James.

(27:35):
Pilot answered, I am I a Jew thine own nation,
and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me. What
hast thou done? Aymen, Now, Pilot, he's trying to get
to the bottom of this. Jesus answered, my kingdom is

(28:02):
not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world,
then would my servants fight that I should not be
delivered to the Jews. But now is my kingdom not
from Hence? Pilot therefore said, unto him, art thou a king?

(28:26):
Then Jesus answered, thou sayest that I am a king?
To this end was I born? And for this cause
came I into the world, that I should bear a
witness unto the truth. Everyone that is of the truth

(28:47):
heareth my voice a man that is amazing. Now, Jesus,
I mean pilot asked him, are you the king of
the Jews? Jesus answers, My kingdom is not of this world.

(29:10):
Jesus's kingdom operates by spiritual truth, not political power. Let
me say that again. Jesus's kingdom is ran by spiritual
truth and is not ran by political power. This is

(29:32):
a kingdom mindset. We don't fight for thrones down here
on the earth. Our king rules from heaven and his
word conquers hearts, not territories. Amen. We got to understand
where the battle is and where the fight truly is,

(29:55):
and where we truly rule from. Now this is interesting
to me. I know that a lot of people get
obsessed with extraterrestrials, right Aliens. People always say, well, we
can't be alone in this universe. Well we're not. There's
angels and there's demons out there. There is another world

(30:20):
and I can't think of the I think it's in
Galatians or one of the chapters where it says that
Jesus that God created the world's plural. So yes, there's
more worlds out there. There's a spiritual world that is
more real than this physical world that we're in. This

(30:42):
physical world is temporary. The Bible says that life is
like a vapor, like a mist. When you turn on
the water holes and you see a mist come from
the water, that's us, that's our life, and it disappears.
Life is short, it goes by quick, and sometimes people

(31:02):
find out too late. And so it's amazing to me
that Jesus is representing his kingdom, and his kingdom is
not of this world. Amen. And the Bible calls us

(31:24):
kings in priests. So we have the same rule. We
reinforce the word of God in this world just by
speaking it out, by living it out, by walking it out,
we proclaim the truth of God's word. And I love
how he says that all those who are of the
truth will hear his voice. Do you hear his voice?

(31:49):
Do you hear him? Do we hear him? Well? Stay encouraged,
because that means that we are of the truth. Man,
All right, let's finish out this chapter thirty eight and
forty Holey said, unto him, what is truth? And when

(32:16):
he had said this, he went out again unto the
Jews and said, unto them, I find in him no
fault at all. But you have a custom that I
should release unto you one at the passover? Will he
therefore that I release unto you The King of the

(32:38):
Jews then cried they all again, saying, not this man,
but Barrabis. Now Barrabis was a robber. A man. Let's
finish out this chapter. Howly says what is truth and

(33:02):
still sends Jesus to be crucified releasing Barrabbits instead. Pilot's
tragedy was rejecting truth while steering truth in the face

(33:23):
When he said that again, Pilot's tragedy was rejecting truth
while steering truth in the face the rabbits, a guilty
man walks free while the innocent one takes his place.
That was us, beloved, we are Barrabus. Jesus took our

(33:48):
punishment so we could go free. That's the gospel in
one scene, a man, this should make us fall in
love with our Savior all over again. Amen, Hello Lujah,

(34:13):
Let's put a praise right there. I'll be back right
after this break.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
is the hiss hop radio show.

Speaker 4 (35:04):

But y'all love brings me to life, so I don't

(36:28):

on that cross. It will be in bleeding, but you
never lost. I just want your presence help me to rejoice.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Accuse their lie on me. You feel what was fust
But y'all love brazen the lie where I I don't
know how much more I can take.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
Body you saw dayson would cry Yo, break down here,
your presence till it change.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
Break down here, pleasures still it change.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
Break down, pleasures till it change, break down here, pressus
till its change.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Break down.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Pass change your bloyd pason.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
But I don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Your days are with God.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Worry old presence show.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Yeah, you are listening to the light of Las Vegas.
This is the hiss Hop radio Show.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
All right, all right, we are back. That is our
sister Kid lead with the light talking about our savior
and how with dignity and victory he went to the
cross for us. The cross is not something for us

(38:33):
to take lightly. He paid the heavy price for our redemption,
and our response should be praise, worship, appreciation, tything we
should give all. We should lay down our lives as

(38:54):
a drink, offering an appreciation what he has done for us.
Say man, hallelujah. All right, now it's time for other segments.
Accountability partner, So I said before this segment was put
in my heart to add to this podcast because sometimes

(39:17):
I work the altar at my church and I pray
with the saints, and I noticed some are struggling with
things that they've been struggling with for years, and I'm like,
why no change, why no victory? Why are we going
around these circles? And I look at my own life
things that needed to be changed. Right. It's not that

(39:39):
I'm better or more holier than anyone else. No, there's
things in my life that I dealt with for years
as well, and only Spirit put it in my heart
like no accountability, Like where is the discipleship? Where is
the agreement in prayer? Where is the person that we
can call up and get poured into. And the agreement

(40:00):
in prayer is powerful. The Bible says one can chase
a thousand, but two can chase tens of thousands. Just
by adding that, Jesus says in two or more together,
he is in the midst So let us not underestimate
the power of unity, the power of agreement. There's protection

(40:24):
when we stand together, united in one accord. Amen. So
that being said, if you go to the app His
Hot Radio, go to the top level menu and hit
the drop down click on podcasts, and then go scroll
down and hit the accountability partner, you can go through

(40:44):
the questions kind of like a checklist, your spiritual checkup,
and then you can fill out the form and request
a follow up and myself or someone from our team
will follow up with you and pray help. You know,
sometimes there's besetting sins. Sometimes we need that agreement, we

(41:06):
need that counsel, we need help. Amen. And so that's
what we're here to do on this podcast. We're not
just talking it, we're living it out. So we're willing
to walk with you. And also we would like to
invite you to come on the podcast and walk it
out together live or at least, you know, allow us
to read and share the story of your journey. Now

(41:31):
that's of course with your permission, amen. But here is
the challenge today, and I'm a post this also in
a live chat. You can go to life chat and
read it a little later. If you need to ask yourself,
are you following Jesus closely or from a distance like Peter?

(41:52):
Now this week, let's close that gap. Get back into
your prayer closet, get back into worship, get back into
the Word of God. Amen, Let's get back into the
right place we need to be. Also, we want to
let you know that his HOB Radio isn't monitored in

(42:12):
a reporting radio station. We want to chart gospel hip hop.
That's how we're gonna make a difference in this genre.
We have our own chart, and if we take over
other charts, that's a good witness to win the world
with our music. We know what the enemy is doing
with secular music, corrupting the hearts and minds of our

(42:36):
youth and young adults. Well, hey, let's fight back with
gospel hip hop, right seeh So all you have to
do is go to our website His hib nation dot
com and hit the submissions tab if you would like
to submit your music to us, and then go ahead
and purchase one of our promo packages. They're very affordable

(43:00):
and by advertising, that's what's going to get you up
the charts on our platform. There's time for our trivia question.
There is a question, and we will also post this
in a live chat. Who cut off the ear of
the high priest servant in John eighteen? Question again, which disciple?

The Male Room with Dr. Jesse Mills

As Director of The Men’s Clinic at UCLA, Dr. Jesse Mills has spent his career helping men understand their bodies, their hormones, and their health. Now he’s bringing that expertise to The Male Room — a podcast where data-driven medicine meets common sense. Each episode separates fact from hype, science from snake oil, and gives men the tools to live longer, stronger, and happier lives. With candor, humor, and real-world experience from the exam room and the operating room, Dr. Mills breaks down the latest health headlines, dissects trends, and explains what actually works — and what doesn’t. Smart, straightforward, and entertaining, The Male Room is the show that helps men take charge of their health without the jargon.
