Giada Tecchio ha da sempre desiderato fare l'insegnante, perchè innamorata dei libri e del sapere. Ha raccontato al podcast Insegnanti al microfono come la passione trasmessa dai suoi docenti del liceo e il desiderio di vivere di letteratura siano stati degli ulteriori stimoli per intraprendere questa carriera. Ha svolto quindi gli studi all'università di Pisa, frequentando anche il Corso ordinario della Scuola Normale Superiore, che le ha dato un'ampia e profonda formazione.
