(00:00):
Thank you brilliant. What thirteen oneor six I've come back on at a
free for all Friday, And ofcourse the latest we've got news about an
event coming up this weekend you maywant to be of course, you know
the presidents in town. We've gotthat happening. But there's another big event
that's happening we thought you might wantto hear about as well. Ron Armstrong's

(00:23):
here with us from Stand Up Michiganwith the latest on this event. A
lot of these big races we're lookingat you hear about, of course,
the the the big top of theticket and of course congressional Senate races,
all those are important. I thinkthe most critical election, really our of
our lifetime. We're looking at Ron. But you know a lot of people,
don't They just sometimes get lost. They forget these local elections, and

(00:48):
boy those things matter too, don'tthey? They really do. Justin and
I think what we've got right nowis a great opportunity. We've got momentum,
I believe on our side. Butwhat's going to happen here in just
a few weeks is going to bethe primary elections, and in so much
of Michigan, the primary election willdetermine who it is that represents us,

(01:08):
especially at local races, and it'simportant for us to know who those people
are. There are some great opportunities, of course, for people to become
or get an absentee ballot where theycan see the ballot and have time to
identify candidates, and there are eventsthat are happening all throughout the state that
are giving people opportunity to both meetthem. And I feel like it's it's

(01:30):
really down ballot because your own localcommunity is where the real local control and
local governance happens, you know, everything from you know, we talked about
property taxes, and of course thosevillages are important and all those things,
but even what they're going to doin your own backyard. As we've seen

(01:51):
how important this fight with Goshen andthe battery plant, and now we're hearing
the well, well, the latestwith all of the they want to put
these new wind farms and solar farmsand all of this, and those decisions
are going to be made in Lancing, etc. That's how all these local
decisions, I mean, nine timesout of ten, really it's more important

(02:13):
what's happened in your backyard than itis in Lancing or DC. You know,
we do not recognize the importance ofthat until we hit a crisis in
your community. We of course experiencedit all over the country during twenty twenty,
and there were all very few communitiesthat actually had leadership who recognized that

(02:35):
our constitutional rights did not go awayduring an emergency, regardless of what people
upstream, if you will, saidto us. And we experienced that certainly
in Newego County where the governor wasreally hard, came down on both restaurants,
bowling alleys, took away their liquorlicenses. Pretty much happened all over

(02:58):
the state. And I think thatyou know, we're in the same situation
now when it came to across thecounty, a very very conservative county,
and yet they woke up recognizing thatwho they thought were representing them and had
been sometimes for decades, actually we'renot representing their community or defending the rights

(03:22):
of their community the way that theyshould have. And it may have been
too late, we'll see, butwe have certainly made some huge strides there,
replacing the entire board in Green Township, Big Rapids Township, they replaced
the county administrator, and I thinkwhere we're at now, of course,

(03:42):
is many County Commission races, andso it's important and wherever community you're in
to not only to identify the peoplethat are running, and a lot of
them are running unopposed, but it'sas important for us to discuss with them
these issues ahead of time, notin hindsight when the crisis is happening,
but to make sure you identify withthem if this happens again. I want

(04:04):
to make sure you understand our individualrights and that you defend us as individuals,
as parents, as business owners inour community absolutely every step of the
way. And we're finding out howimportant all of those things. How we
talk to Ian Murphy, who's inthis fight again. People keep asking why

(04:25):
are you still fighting? I mean, he's the guy from the Iron Pig
that continues to fight in court casesand the county Health Department. He said,
well, the fight's not over. This thing continues and we can't forget
even in twenty twenty four. There'sa big event actually coming up this weekend.
In fact, we talked a littlebit about this. I know you're

(04:46):
going to be there. It's rightin your own backyard, your neck of
the woods, A big candidate event. One of the ways that you've got
to get informed so you can makethe best decisions is to get out,
you know, press the flesh, talk to these folks, have conversations so
you can make the best decisions. And you'll have some Senate candidates at this
event, but also some Supreme Courtcandidates, some county candidates, some state
wide candidates as well. But yougot a big one coming up this weekend

(05:11):
tomorrow. Actually, well it isthat it's kind of a repeat justin This
is at Jimmy's roadhouse for those ofyou that made the pilgrimage when he stayed
open, gave up his liquor license, remained and continued to serve food.
People traveled from all over the stateto come there. He's got a huge
outdoor area and there's going to bea big tent there. It's going to
be a beautiful Saturday, and fromtwelve to five, each half hour basically

(05:34):
or each hour during the afternoon fromthe twelve to five will be a different
group of candidates that'll be speaking, including, like you had mentioned, the
Supreme Court candidates, four of them, I think the top four that are
pretty much there. We've got MarkBoonstraw and Andrew Fink that are in a
race for the full term of theSupreme Court a race, and then we

(05:57):
have Judge Patrick O'Grady and Lanrea Taylorwho are running for the partial term.
It is really vital that we understandwho they are now. They won't be
chosen in the primary. They willbe chosen at convention, at least our
candidate will be. But it's importantthat you know who they are, what
they stand for, and you'll getan opportunity not only to hear from them,

(06:18):
but to be able to meet them. They'll have a table there,
they'll have some signs. We reallyhave got to secure the Supreme Court.
Racis because there's an awful lot oflower ballot court issues taking place, even
in regards to some of the proposalsthat passed in twenty twenty two that are
working their way towards the Supreme Court. If we end up having a heavily

(06:44):
majority Democratic Supreme Court, we canpretty much kiss go bye many of these
lower court rulings. Even in defendingparental rights issues like Title nine, the
Court is not in favor of constitutionalrights, freedoms, and liberty. It
it currently stands it's so important.Look how look how important we've we've seen

(07:05):
over the last few years, howimportant these these court decisions in the battles
that are that are happening. Wisconsinjust went through this, particularly when it
comes to the election issues. Theyhad the these dropbox Kucker boxes. They
had their Supreme Court rule that thosethings were not legal, and then the

(07:25):
court turned over and wouldn't you knowit, and when they when they flipped
liberal, they came back around anddecided they could they could have those those
boxes. These these elections, andmany of them. I don't think we
were paying attention enough to realize howjust how important they were. They are,

(07:46):
and it continues. Of course,we've seen it in Michigan. Fortunately
the Supreme Court struck down the governor'snineteen forty five order, but it has
upheld many of the things. Andeven though we have held and found that
the Secretary of State has literally beenfound pretty much guilty in courts I think

(08:09):
four or five times now, there'sbeen no real accountability whatsoever. And unless
there's accountability, you're not going tochange the direction or what it is that
they're doing. So there will beSenate candidates at this event as well.
And if you are from Newego County, of course you'll get to meet all
the way down the ballot candidates. And because again the primary race tends to

(08:30):
be the elections, there are aboutthirty percent of the Democrats that cross over
and vote because the sheriff races andother racist county commission races, they all
run as Republicans, and so inorder for them to have a say,
they have to vote in the Republicanprimary. So it's really vital for us
to get out and to identify whothese people are. Jimmy's got his liquor

(08:50):
license back, He's got some fantasticfood. It would be a great after
name for you and your family. There'll be I think fifteen different booths,
including the Senators h and and andCongressman. I think John molin i A
is going to have one there aswell as And if you're from a surrounding
county, I know that Joseph Foxis going to be there, uh,

(09:11):
and he represents several counties. Soit'll be a great afternoon. If you're
not going to see the President andyou want to have a good, fun,
patriotic time, bring your American flagsand come on out to Jimmy's the
Roadhouse in Newego, Michigan. Rob, we'll have to have it back on
soon for more updates on the latest. If folks want to follow you and
say up today, what's the bestway to do that. The best way
to do that is a stand upMichigan dot com And you can also follow

(09:35):
us as stand up we the peopleon Facebook. Uh and we look forward
to catching up with you and hand having a fantastic summer and fall and
winning in November. They got it, Ron Ron Armstrong, always a pleasure,
my friend, Thank you so much. That's going to do it for
us today and putting the free forall Friday in the books. Of course,

(10:00):
we're back Monday with the latest.President Trump in town. Got to
be a fantastic history making moment, the first time he's done a rilly since
the one last Saturday with the assassinationattempt, thank god, failed assassination attempt
on his life. And folks willbe coming all over, not just from

(10:20):
here around the state, but thecountry probably to see and here the president.
We'll have the latest Monday morning whenwe're back, Praying for a safe
weekend for everyone him involved. Aswell, and you do the same,
Make it a great one. Godbless
