(00:04):
Well, well, well, Ihave the time to take a vacation,
take just throw them off. Uh, it's it's even uh, it's even
better timing on the return, Iwill I'll tell you that where do we
Where do we start? That's probablythe uh, the first and the biggest
(00:29):
question on my mind that I probablyuh probably for you to where where do
we start? This weekend? Uh, my time off essentially came to a
screeching halt, and as your weekendprobably did too, with the news that
ruptured it all the shotthrend around theworld the weekend for many others in penn
(01:00):
Sylvania attending the rally President Trump, everything descended into chaos in a hurry.
And I have so many thoughts onthis. I really the biggest challenges where
(01:25):
do we start? Let's just startwith this. What do we know?
What do we know? First andforemost, we know that at about six
eleven pm Saturday night in the rallyat Butler County, Pennsylvania, President Trump
(01:49):
was on stage when pops started toring out. There's some question as to
what that was. At first,it became pretty clear when the President grabbed
his ear and then had to reallysort of dive down behind the podium and
(02:24):
take cover. It was moments later, and some will question it. In
fact, we'll talk about this today, the timing, how long it took
to identify and eliminate the threat, not just to the president but to others
(02:50):
there and to rally that day momentslater that the threat was down, and
then the president was moved from thepodium and uh and two uh, the
the vehicles that were that were waiting, but not not before before having an
(03:23):
opportunity to raise his fist in defianceand and really shout to the crowd.
We saw through his obvious lips mouthingfight, fight, fight, And even
(03:52):
in this moment that we're in,even in this particular time that we're in,
even that is being questioned by mainstreammedia, we know that the at
(04:17):
least we're getting reports that the individualresponsible for this horrific act, which in
fact injured others and killed another man, a hero who you'll hear more about
today, injured others and killed anotherman who is just the epitome of a
(04:51):
great American volunteer firefighter, a chiefin that role, and he at that
moment moved to shield his family fromthe threat at hand and took the bullet
(05:24):
that was intended for President Trump atthe time. The video, obviously,
the text messages, the tweets, the images shared online are stunning. There
(05:46):
there is. It's real. It'shard to put into words. And I'll
tell you exactly how I found out. I got a message from our very
own Midwest her Robin Pompman, whosimply texted me just an unthinkable line,
(06:14):
and I said, this can't bethis can't be real. I simply replied
with what Trump has been shot? What? Yes in car heard the gunshots
on TV? She said, Isaid, where Butler pa at the rally?
(06:41):
And more infos started coming in.And that's obviously the moment where I
immediately went to see what was beingreported, what was on television. Now
I have been and not that thisis important other than just to tell you
where where I was, where myhead's face was. But I had been
(07:02):
on vacation, just taking the weekoff of the last week. And on
Thursday, my birth mom came intotown and we were spending the weekend together,
just getting a chance to see mykids and hang out. And you
(07:23):
know this is We've just gotten backfrom doing some fun stuff during the day,
and of course coming home and sortof relaxing, getting the kids ready
for bed. This this time islike bedtime for the kids. We're getting
the bath, two of the buckswe're doing. That's when all of this
is is coming down. And soI'm immediately going into sort of like information
(07:49):
aboute work mode. I have toknow what's going on. This is hopefully
sleep a very important scenario, veryimportant situation, and our prayer, you
know, we begin to at leastany way pray and focus on what's happening
all of it to tell you thatthat that's basically what I've been focused on
(08:18):
for the most part. Take alittle bit break yesterday, but trying to
get as much information as I can, so there is more what we know
now about the individual who's responsible forthis or still leaves some questions about who's
responsible we have I think at thispoint, as we do the deep dive
into what happened, I think morequestions than answers. There there are some
(08:39):
real answers that we have though thereare some real and this is there's just
no getting her way around it.What happened this weekend never should have happened.
It never should have even been anopportunity of possibility. There never should
have been any sort of chance forthis to take place, and the failures,
(09:01):
the magnitude of the failure that hadto take place in order for this
to happen is just on levels thatI can't even begin to explain to you.
I know why, and we'll getinto that little bit later on today
too, But I know why.I saw it happen. And of course
(09:22):
we're seeing it happen in so manydifferent scenarios, in so many different ways
on a daily basis. It isunfortunately becoming all too familiar. So is
the FBI still, according to newsreports and some many others, struggle to
(09:43):
find a motive behind this and whatcould have possibly caused all of this.
We'll talk about that too, Buthere is audio from that moment they see
something that said, take a lookat what happened. Over there. He
is down behind the quodium. Hegrabs his ear as those shots come out,
(10:11):
and there yet as yet one morelooks like and that may be the
shot that took out the individual responsiblethe failure for this. As I mentioned
(10:31):
earlier, the failure is just it'sit's un it is unthinkable. And what
this says about what we're all goingthrough and where we are right now in
the world is the is the biggestand most obvious piece. What this says
(10:52):
about us all is the biggest andmost obvious piece here. There's more from
Yester or excuse me from Saturday.Because they begin to move him. There
was a moment where he reached hisfist up into the air at the podium
(11:16):
and he said fight by by notknowing at this point, who knows whether
he knows he's okay. He probablythinks he's okay, but in these moments
you don't know. Because adrenaline isrushing. They've got to get him looked
at. They take him into thethe he says wait. He tells them
to wait. He wants to signalto the crowd that he's okay. By
(11:39):
the way, there are many therethat now said that that moment was a
very important moment because the crowd wason edge. I'm going to tell you,
and you I'm sure have heard thisalready this morning and throughout the last
few days, that he shouldn't behere for all intents and pes he shouldn't
(12:00):
be here right now. What happenedthis weekend was a miracle. That bullet
that grazed his ear. Came justI don't want to say inches, because
I don't think that's that's accurated. They have been millimeters millimeters from dramatically shifting
(12:22):
the trajectory of this country and whereeverything else is headed in the days ahead.
Now you know we've got the Rand C this week as well,
so security is tight there. ButTrump defiant yet again, saying, you
know, I was going to waita couple of days in light of everything
that it's taken place in the lastcouple of days, and I was going
(12:46):
to wait. Instead, I'm headedthere now. In fact, that's where
he is in Milwaukee as they gearup for a big week. Make America
wealthy again the theme of today. We'll talk about that as well. I
got still yet more to get to. What'll we know now, we'll get
into more, and of course theconversation all morning long. You could join
(13:07):
us too if you like two foureight eight hundred. Talk to for eight
eight hundred and eight two five fivethe numbers Dalan at justin Barklay dot com
if you hit that talkback button.See this is important for days like today
because I think what you have tosay matters as well, and I want
to give you the opportunity to soundoff, So go to Justin Barklay dot
(13:28):
com, click that button, soundoff, and we'll talk to you next.
Back after this one, Well,it is fantastic to be back.
Not under the circumstances. I'd likedit, but man, oh man,
(13:50):
sure glad I got a week ofrest before it all to send it back
in the chaos, uh and thelikes of which I don't think we've well
And it's hard to say, seein my lifetime there's an attempt on Reagan.
But I want to tell you,I think the sticks are even higher
right now what we're watching play outin the country. There was a moment
in time I talked to just wantingabout the assassination attempt on President Trump.
(14:13):
What took place, Well we knownow, but there was this. There
was a moment in time I satwith my wife, you know, I
had taken my birth mom back toher hotel and the kids had gone to
bed, and I had sat withher and had just explained to her what
(14:43):
the serious nature of what was atstake and why I was so relieved to
know that President Trump was okay, and yes, certainly for him, but
(15:03):
more so for our nation, becauseif something were to have happened to him,
I don't know, I don't knowwhere we would be today. And
I don't just mean that in thisin the necessarily the sense of can we
(15:24):
get the country back on track? Can we right all of the wrongs that
have been done over the last severalyears, can we get this thing back
on track? And I'm I'm I'myou're seeing it, You're seeing it.
What we actually witnessed on Saturday ispart of part of the problem, part
of the systemic failure we're seeing happeningthat the nation. The plug has been
(15:48):
pulled and they've they've poisoned it inso many different ways. Now, what
I mean by this is the failuresat every level. By the way,
the same guy that oversees Ease, the failure at the border is the same
guy that oversees the Secret Service, and the failure that happened there is this.
Is this any surprise to you.I want to talk more about that
(16:11):
in just a little bit. Butwhat I what I what I meant what
I told her is that I'm justnot sure where we would be today.
And this is a very very serioussituation. I'm just not sure where we
would be today because the left folks, who seek any opportunity, never let
(16:37):
a good crisis go to waste, are always looking for a moment that they
could come in and and enact whateverit is that they want to do,
whatever their scheme or plan is.Inevitably, and you've got an you've got
a corner, and you've got abasically a caged animal who's just backed in
(17:00):
hanging it into a corner. Nowthey've they've got a very unpopular candidate who
well they may be stuck with nowwe're going to talk a little bit more
about that this morning too. Andthey've caused all of this, They've caused
it all. They are responsible, and I say they am being the left.
I mean, I'm talking about themedia. I'm talking about they have
caused all of this. And I'mtrying to do this as as calmly as
(17:25):
I kind of trying to do this, as level headed, as reasonably as
I can't want to explain all ofit to you, much of it,
I'm sure, just absolutely certain youhave a great sense and awareness of just
because if you listen to this program, or if you are plugged into talk
radio, chances are. You're muchmore keenly aware of the ultimate reality of
course, truth itself, more thanmost folks. So I I know I'm
(17:49):
preaching to the choir in some wayshere, But there was a moment where
we were really hanging. And Ithink there's still an opportunity. We're dangling
at some points and places, Butthere was a moment where we were just
hanging by a thread on Saturday, and through I don't think any any less
(18:11):
divine intervention, a miraculous moment wherehis life was spared by the way.
We've got to really talk about thespecifics of this and whyatt's. Ah,
it's just so mind blowing what happened. See, I think the country would
(18:33):
have descended to the chaos. Thereare many that are looking for that moment,
that opportunity for some sort of chaoticbacklash. But you see, there
were no riots Saturday, there wereno cities burning Saturday. It tells you
where all that comes from, andit's not the right All right, We've
got to get another update. We'lllook the latest bottom of the hour coming
(18:56):
up next. We'll dig into thisa little further. What we know now
the failed Trump assassination attempt and what'snext. So there's there is a definite
miraculous nature of what took place thisweekend, and I just don't think it
can be overstated. There are pictures, there are videos that show this there,
(19:18):
but there are pictures, and particularlythere are a couple of just absolutely
incredible pictures that show what happened thisweekend. So let me give you a
bit of an example of of someof this and probably the most infamous picture.
(19:40):
If you're watching them behind the sceneslivestream, you'll see this. If
not, it'll be up in thestack letter today as well. But there
there was the probably the most. There were so many that so many shots
pictures that were taken this week andare going to be iconic. His his
fists raised there near the flag isone probably one of the most iconic.
(20:07):
There's another that is going to alsobe up there. It's President Trump on
the ground as Secret Service agents havehave jumped on top of him to make
sure that he is safe and secure. That's that's another one of those photos.
That's that's it's almost like he's praying, the way he's got his hands
(20:30):
on the ground. I just againI do not it is it is,
it is almost It is nearly impossibleto overstate what took place this uh this
weekend, and I think the miracleof it wall. There was a photo
(20:53):
taken by a New York Times photographerthat shows, at least it appears to
show the the bullet whizzing by,whizzing past and over the top of what
would be his left shoulder. It'sto your right if you're looking at him,
(21:15):
and it is as he has turned. Now, this is the moment
that most people don't get or realize. And why this was so if you're
paying attention to maybe you maybe youdo, but why this was so important?
This this this moment he is facingthe crowd. This is why the
(21:40):
bullet missed him. Okay, heis facing the crowd, he is speaking
to the audience, and just abrief moment he turns to look at the
screen. The screen I mean thatshows a belief of stats on immigration at
(22:03):
the time. And if you justlook at the angle of the way his
head turned, you are talking millimetersfrom disaster. And many of you have
been online over the weekend you've seenthis. But there's a diagram somebody's made
(22:26):
put together it's going to be upin our show notes today as well that
shows this the red line being thepath of the bullet. His head turned,
it just grazes his ear. Butif that head had been back and
in the position that it was justmoments ago, it would have entered.
(22:48):
It's the perfect kill shot. Alot of people are making fun of the
the individual today. I was responsiblefor all of this, saying the guy,
well, he can't even shoot. The Democrats can't shoot, you know.
I get some of that, makinglight of these things, especially in
(23:11):
very dark moments. You can eitherlaugh or cry. And so I'm not
gonna come down on people, buti will tell you I don't believe I
think he was a better shot thanpeople are giving him credit for. Plus,
he probably had some sort of scopeon the weapon. And as these
kids are unfortunately, the reality isas they are trained these days on video
(23:33):
games. This was a twenty yearold. We're told it's responsible for this,
that their their accuracy trained through yearsof playing video games. And then
you're on a scope on a weaponthat's pretty much like a video game.
When you when you're operating, there'sa few things that you have to you
(23:57):
have to you know, account forif you're you know if you're at long
range. But this is not longrange. This is four hundred feet,
this is one hundred and fifty yards. And so just to let you know
(24:18):
that this was not supposed today,President Trump would not be here. The
state of this nation I don't evenwant to speculate on, but I do
not believe it would be good.It was just a moment, a just
(24:44):
a sort of glitching the matrix, miraculous moment, divine intervention that he turned
his head briefly to look at achart, and that was the moment the
shot was fired and it missed him. If it would if it would have
hit him in the direction of theangle that his head was at, it
would have been the perfect kill shutIt would have entered into that it looks
(25:07):
like the temple, and maybe exiteddown to the base near his jawn.
I just don't think that people understandhow close we came to absolute disaster.
(25:30):
And so with that being said, the questions of how did this happen and
why did it happen? And wewill continue the conversation throughout I'm sure today,
in the next few days, butthere are some things that need to
be addressed. Number One, themedia. The media has been banging the
(25:55):
drum for years now since he camedown the Golden Ness later, they have
been banging the drum for years nowtalking about how evil, how evil President
Trump is, what he wants todo, and how bad it is.
(26:19):
He's an existential threat to democracy andto these individuals themselves. And Biden is
out now and the media is outnow telling you that there's the tone police
that we've got the lower the temperature. We're not the ones that have raised
the temperature. I'm talking about,I'm talking about what's being said. I'm
(26:45):
We're not the ones that are thatare coming up with these radical Hitler every
day they compare this man to Hitlerin some other different way. Now there
are numerous examples of this, butBiden, over the over the last several
(27:06):
years, do you remember the bloodred speech he gave you remember he was
standing in Philadelphia, not far fromwhere this took place. The backdrop all
blood red, flanked by Marine Corpssoldiers, and it's in the flags and
whatnow behind him And he was ridiculedall all through online about this and the
(27:30):
look the optics. But the itwhoever did this, had a intention.
They don't make mistakes when it comesto these setups. This is back when
he could still sort of read ateleprompter. This was a couple of years
back. Anyway, this is thisis why we got what we got on
Saturday. Donald Trump and the MagaRepublicans represented extremism that threatened the very foundations
(27:57):
of our republic. But there's there'sno question that the Republican Party today is
dominated, driven and intimidated by DonaldTrump and the Maga Republicans, and that
is a threat to this country. There is clip after clip of this,
folks, I can It's not justhim, it's other politicians. It's members
(28:18):
of the media that are responsible forthese things. And by the way,
again this tone policing of you know, we've we've got to lower the temperature
in all of this. And look, I do agree that words are important.
I do agree that it matters thatthese these things matter. But you
(28:42):
you know, members of the mediathroughout the last several years have been doing
the same thing over and over again. The dehumanizing rhetoric of Adolph Hiller is
once again alive and well on anational political stage. This time, of
course, in the United scott acouple times over the weekend referred to immigrants
(29:03):
from South America, Africa, andAsia. He did not mention Europe,
South America, afgan Asia as quotepoisoning the blood of our country, which
it's not hyperbole, that does verydirectly echo. That's a lie. I
didn't say that. Adolf Hitler's languagebefore World War Two. To open up
a copy of Hitler's mindkomf you wouldfind the Nazi leader describing the mixing of
(29:26):
non Germans with Germans as poisoning. This is the guy that did that.
It was a moderator for the debatelast a couple of weeks ago. So
this is again why you're seeing whatyou're son saying. And by the way,
the man was nearly murdered. Somebodyattempted to take his life on Saturday.
(29:56):
And in the moments after, PresidentTrump stood and he told the people
with his hand lifted high, thathe would not give in and that he
would fight, and he encouraged themto fight, no, not physically,
but fight for this country, Fightfor the nation and its soul, Fight
(30:18):
for your children. That's what hesaid. And do you know, just
moments after that on CNN, thisis what they said odd because of all
of the heated rhetoric, and thatis that after he was hit, Former
President Trump got up and said, fight, fight, fight. I think
(30:41):
what we're hearing from people is that'snot the message that we want to be
sented right now. We want totamp it down. Can you imagine he
was shot? There was just noone thing on this. If he was
shot and she's going to tone policehim, he'd be well with his right
(31:02):
to say whatever he wanted to sayat that point. But in fact,
what he did say and what hemeant by it. Now, as you
see, they already in the twistmode because they can't get out of it.
They can't, it's it's their nature. But what he did in that
moment, showing the not only theaudience, the people there in person,
(31:25):
but the many they were watching ontelevision and the millions that would see him
later in clips, online, etcetera, telling them that he was okay,
actually restored calm and order. Therewas no chaosticities, did not burn,
there was nothing like that. Thattook place act over and over and
(31:47):
over again. As a Left isknown for doing this. This is this
is very very simple stuff. Butyou wonder how did we get here.
It is the rhetoric from the left, and they've got a real problem.
In fact, I want to talkabout this coming up. They've got a
real problem because they have come out. In fact, Biden's had a couple
(32:07):
of statements. The first one hedidn't know much, the second, well,
he doesn't know much period. Butthe second one he's come out and
again calling for unity, which Ithink is you know, fair and a
good idea. But again, thiswhole point that Republicans or the Conservatives,
(32:28):
or that anybody that is maga orany of these things, that they're the
problem is just absolutely it's false. The whole thing is just preposterous. The
entire premise is just completely off.But there's more to this. In fact,
I want to kind of break downa few more pieces of this.
And of course, as I said, the members of the media and the
(32:52):
politicians responsible for these things. That'swhy we got we got on Saturday,
and I'm quite frankly surprised we haven'tseen it earlier and sooner. But there
may be a reason why it happenedon Saturday. We're starting to learn more
about the protection or lack thereof thattook place over the weekend, and folks,
(33:17):
what I'm hearing is downright damning. There is no excuse for what we
saw that happened on Saturday. Butthe more and more we hear this whole
thing, it's the whole thing stinks, but it is representative of what we're
watching happening in our country and thechoice that we have in November. We
(33:39):
either restore all that is good andwell, pure and wholesome about our country
or we write it off. Becausewhat you're seeing now, I think you're
going to get more and more of. There is no turning back. We
(34:01):
are back after this Detroit's News TalkSuperstation nine ten am. Justin Barker.
We are walking through everything for theweekend. Don't forget Milwaukee today they are
on sea kicks off, and ofcourse they are. They're going to do
the first them day is make Americawealthy again. We've got folks, delegates
(34:22):
from all over the country, infact, many from Michigan that are already
there, and we'll be checking in. I'm sure as time goes on.
I'm going to give you the lateston that coming up this morning as well.
There is question and I've got todig into some of this. The
failure in what is caused what happenedover the weekend, the failed Trump assassination,
(34:44):
attempt to attempt on the President's life, and of course the attempt that
actually injured and took the life ofa hero man. I haven't mentioned the
demand responsible for this incident yet becauseI don't The man is the word I
should use. But I haven't mentionedthis individual's name yet because well, there's
(35:09):
questions about identity still, even thoughwe've heard reports of who this is,
but there's questions about the identity still, and also in times like this,
i'd rather tell you more about, unfortunately, the victims, especially when you
learn about who this individual was, this man, this hero who was taken
(35:31):
far too soon protecting his family whenthose shots rang out on Saturday. It
is a it's a it's all ofit is absolutely tragic. One thing I
can tell you for sure is thatthere there's plenty of blame to go around,
but there are folks responsible, andwe've got to kind of really dig
(35:54):
into that. Let's talk about thefailures, because what we saw it took
place Saturday, should have never happened. An hour's starting to get more and
more details around it, all moreand more details that are starting to pour
out about why it was allowed totake place and the things I'm going to
tell you. I know they're seeingthis lower the temperature, but I'm telling
(36:15):
you the things that I'm going totell you is going to make your blood
boil. But it won't be asurprise. You'll get into some of that
coming up. Detroit's News Talk Superstationtwo four eight eight hundred. Talk to
number back after our top of thehour news right here. We actually have
(36:37):
a response, even from people ascrazy as CNN. I do want to
say there was one thing that whenI watched the tape I found odd because
of all of the heated rhetoric, and that is that after he was hit,
former President Trump got up and saidfight, fight fight. I think
(37:00):
what we're hearing from people is that'snot the message that we want to be
sented right now. We want totamp it down. I just know one
thing, this is incredible, butthis is part for the chorus the folks
that have left to have been responsiblefor that rhetoric. In fact, just
days prior, Biden had a tweetthat was put out there apparently he had
(37:22):
told people as well that it's timeto put Trump and the bullseye said,
I'm done talking about the debate. It's time to put Trump in the bulls
eye now. Rhetorick right like thatin the past has been widely criticized and
condemned. In fact, you rememberwhat the Palin it to go through very
(37:44):
similarly. So they're talking about nowall we've got to lower the temperature.
All of these things. Again, they are responsible for. They have been
a part of the left, themedia, politicians as well. Just seconds
after being shot, President Trump needsto he needs to police his tone.
(38:04):
He needs to be careful. That'swhat they that's what they're pushing all of
this. Uh and I get it. Look, it's it's it's example of
what they always do. It's justthey cause a problem. They have some
hair brained schemer idea and uh andessentially they're trying to cause this chaos.
(38:24):
They cause a problem and uh andthen they want to tell you that they've
got the solution for the problem they'vethey've just caused and uh. And that's
that's they're here to save the day. So that's essentially where we are.
(38:45):
In fact, they're still out theretweeting and uh posting whatever you want to
call it now about about other thingsJoe Biden in his addressed the other day,
trying to bring down the temperature.Violence has never been the answer,
whether it's with members of Congress andboth parties being targeted in the shot,
(39:07):
or a violent mob attacking the Capitolon January sixth, or brutal attack on
the spouse or former Speaker of theHouse Nancy Pelosi, or information an intimidation
on election officials, or the kidnappingplot against the city and governor, or
an attempted assassination on Donald Trump. Now we know the fed napping plot involved
(39:29):
I believe twelve out of the eighteenon FBI pay roll at the time,
or being working with the FBI insome way or the other with Whitmer,
who, by the way, nothappy. All of this has put a
damper on her big book tour andher big moment. You know she's going
to jump into the spotlight. It'sjust part of the You don't remember,
(39:53):
we're supposed to be lowering the temperature. Folks, lowering the temperature the reason
why they want you lower the temperature, and I do, but listen,
I do well believe and I agreethat we should not We should not be
rushing out in rushing in, Butwe also at the same time need to
call spade a spade, and we'vegot to be very precise with our words.
(40:17):
We've got to be bold in ourstance, and we definitely at this
point do not need to back downat all. And so it's important to
tell you the truth about what happenedon Saturday. Now, the question about
what happened on Saturday is how didwe get here. I've told you about
(40:37):
the rhetoric from the politicians, I'vetold you about the rhetoric from the media,
and how I'm surprised that it tookthis long. God forbid that anything
like this ever happened, but thatit took this long for an attempt or
some sort of serious, credible attemptthreat to happen to President Trump or everything
(41:00):
they've said and done to this manover the years, the law fair,
the media telling you he's Hitler, all these things. I'm surprised that it's
taken so long. So why didit happen Saturday? Well, there are
questions, and there are more questionsthan there are answers. In fact,
(41:22):
today we wonder it never should havehappened. I talked about this on Saturday
night with people, and I said, there's just no way that should have
ever even become an opportunity, thatthere should have ever been any possibility for
this to happen. It's just absolutelyunthinkable. And the reason why, again
(41:50):
is pretty simple. All of thiswas textbook super I mean simple, There
is you. We're going to bringit down. Dan Bongino does the best
job of this, as you know, former secret Service Dan lays it out.
But this building where this man wasallowed to climb up on should have
been watched. It was part ofthe plan from what we know. It
(42:15):
was discussed as they did their lookaround the area as this rally was about
ready to take place. Questions aboutthe failure and what's really behind it are
really fascinating. I think it boilsdown to a couple of different things,
but many of them are the thingswe're facing on a daily basis and all
(42:35):
kinds of walks of life. Buthe's going to break it down to and
tell you just why and how badthis all was. Is on Fox and
Friends. I think this was yesterdaymorning, and it is a best rundown
I've seen yet of the attempt andwhat actually took place, but the building
where this man was able to geta ladder onto, then climb up onto
(42:57):
himself, crawl on his belly, and then find a spot where he could
sit with a rifle. By theway, I haven't the really hit on
this. Will you talk about thefailure of this whole thing. Do you
know that people from the audience membersthat were there in the crowd in and
outside of the Venya, most ofthem outside, they were there near that
(43:22):
building, spotted this man, reportedinto police and you wonder what if anything
was ever done because he was ableto get shots off. We know today
that ay, we're told that reportsare out there that a local law enforcement
officer encountered this man at some pointand did nothing. Back to way left,
(43:49):
and then that is the moment thisman began firing. The only reason
President Trump is alive today. Hegives God the credit. In fact,
I want to read that statement coming. I'll get to it. But the
other reason may be the fact thatpeople that would be people there to see
him, Supporters sound the alarm, tell in law enforcement, tell people that
(44:15):
there's this man up on a buildingwith a gun. A police officer goes
up on the building, even thoughhe backs away at the time, the
man with the gun feels rushed, thinks he has to start firing, and
maybe too soon because he's rushed, was sloppy. I don't know, but
that may be the only reason he'salive to I don't know. I think
(44:37):
your thoughts on this, Dan,just continue where you left off on the
reaction here. So again, opensecurity questions right now. And this is
why again I think the Secret Service, the pr Anthony Googliemi has to be
very careful about what they put out. You know, he says in his
in his ex posts and you canread it yourself. You don't need to
(44:57):
hear from me that they deployed theseextra resources and technology. Okay, well,
which ones you're telling me? Thebest technology you have was deployed?
And you missed a shooter one hundredand thirty yards? Say it was two
hundred yards. The Secret Service CSteam PETE the counter sniper teams, and
I'm not sure those two guys areSecret Service. We have to remember that
(45:19):
we don't always when we go toNew York. Sometimes with high level protectees,
we'll use MYPDESU counter sniper. SoI'm not really sure they Either way,
they'd still be briefed in. Thequestion we have to ask is if
that's the best technology we have. And we had a CS team up there
with a shooter that you know,we're trained out to one thousand yards in
the Secret Service with the counter sniperteam, how did they miss someone at
(45:42):
most, you know, one fifthof the way there. It doesn't make
any sense. And even worse,it's broad daylight on a white roof.
So again open questions here. Wasthere forward looking at or infrared deployed?
Was there aerial support, drones, helicopters? You know, something happened to
If you go back and listen tothe audio. I want you to listen
to this after I get off here, when Donald Trump, after this tragic
(46:06):
thing happens, you'll see the SecretService agents. And by the way,
I know some of those guys personally. It takes a lot to run into
bullets divorcing the security failure. Soat least they did that part, you
know, correctly, and they knewwhat they were doing after the security absolutely
failed. But you're going to hearsomething if you listen closely. The guys
mentions hawkeye on the scene. He'stalking about those two the blackbdu with the
(46:30):
tactical gear CAT element, that twoman cat element that stands for counter Assault
Team. That's a Secret Service specialweapons team equivalent to our SWAT. So
they're there. They all deployed anddid what had to be that The bun
thing around the front of the stageis probably armor. Donald Trump knew to
(46:50):
Duck. I mean most people would. He saved his own life. That's
just a fact. The evacuation didnot go right. I mean the rule
with the Secret Services for the protecteeand evacuate. The other rule is maximum
to the protect the minimum to theproblem. Why minimum to the problem,
because you don't know that's the onlyproblem. By the way, there's more
of this. I'm gonna get tothat. Plus he he nails something like
(47:15):
last night, I believe it wasfrom the R and C with Jesse Waters.
You've got to hear. Their arereports coming out in fact that the
President Trump's team, the campaign hadrequested more protection for President Trump in the
recent days, but was somehow deniedthe level of protection that he should get.
(47:35):
They are giving him the lever ofprotection of a former president, which
is not the same as someone whois a current president or someone, let's
be honest, who is the leadingpresidential candidate in the country in the diction
for all his purposes, will bethe next president the United States. He's
given some sort of like you know, well he's a former president. They
don't do much, they don't needmuch. That's all that he's given.
(47:59):
So this is another piece of this. And why was he denied? If
he was denied, now there reportsout there that that's not true. However,
we need a full investigation. Manycalling today for a Jay thirteen,
the a July thirteenth for a lotabout Jay six. Well, this makes
J six pale in comparison, andDemocrats own it, Biden owns it,
(48:22):
All of these folks in the mediaown it. A Jay thirteen investigation should
be prime time, it should befull speed ahead. And will we get
some of the other details that hegives out about what's happening behind the scenes,
particularly with Secret Service and why wesaw an ultimate failure not just to
identify the threat of where this gunmancould have been, where he was,
(48:46):
take him out at the moment beforeanything went down or anything happened whatsoever.
And then the other piece of thiswas the evacuation part. There were failures
in that issue as well, massivefailures at every single level. And he
points a finger to something that lookslike I gotta be honest with you,
(49:07):
this is so much to all ofus. If they can't protect President Trump.
I'm talking about the best and thebest. If they can't, they're
constantly out there telling us we gotto get rid of r by our army.
Oh, we'll keep you safe.It doesn't inspire much enthusiasm. I
(49:31):
wouldn't anyway back after this. Youwant to join the program, you can't.

Good News, Hope and Encouragement fortrying times. Love to get one of
those to you. Dan Bongino lastnight really putting the Secret Service and the
massive failures that have occurred in thespotlight on Fox News. This is a
(50:37):
Jesse Waters last night They're alive fromRNC in all week the RNC going on
in Milwaukee. I mean, helays out what we're seeing. The question
is some of these failures are theybecause of DEI? Are they diversity equity
(51:00):
inclusion? DEI equals d I E. Unfortunately, we're seeing planes falling out
of the sky towards falling, wheelsfalling off on a daily basis because of
all the things that they've tried todo with these companies and the corporate This
is all by the way, Chicken'scoming home the rules, and the same
(51:22):
thing's happening with the Secret Service. The director of the Secret Service is a
woman I guess served with Cheney servedas Vice President Biden at the time the
Obama administration. She's most recently runsecurity for PepsiCo. Yes, she's been
responsible for guarding cheetahs. Apparently, that's that's what they say. And now
(51:45):
here she is finding herself in thisscenario with a goal to make thirty percent
of the force of Secret Service womenby twenty thirty because of obviously, you
know, that's that's what's most important. Diversity at an inclusion, not protecting
the lives of the president, joinsme. Now, is this gross incompetence
(52:08):
or is it something even more scarythat we can't even think about. No,
it's gross and competence. I mean, how do you let I mean
think about it? Right, thecounter sniper team they train out the Secret
Service Counter Sniper Team. Obviously theyare mitigated sniper thread. They train out
to one thousand yards, so we'retalking about say it was two hundred yards.
It was actually less than that withthis guy. Shooter was right,
(52:29):
you're talking about a fraction of whatthey're trained at. They're also trained to
spot guys in gilli suits, crackedopen windows. He's on a white roof
in broad daylight, on a whiteroof. Now again, it'd be easy
for me to say, oh,well, let's not get into Monday morning
quarterback. Bro. It's not afreaking football game. It's the President of
(52:50):
the United States's life. The SecretService has one job, well outside of
counterfeiting and protection, it is onejob. You keep the body alive,
no matter what they I mean, they came within a millimeter of this guy
losing his life. I don't understandsome of the commentary that's you know,
oh, you know they did agreat job. Well the body guys.
(53:13):
That response was me, brave,No, you don't you know they ran
up there. They didn't know therecould have been ten more shooting, No
doubt. Know, those guys prettyheroic what happened there. But the security
failure in the perimeter is a completetotal debacle. No one should defend this.
So when you have guys we justplayed the sound, when you have
fans saying hey, there's a guywith a gun over there to multiple law
(53:34):
enforcement guys and they still are justlooking around like this and know what,
how does that happen? Well,I'll tell you I'm getting from a number
of sources that people are feeding tome their information obviously because they want to
fix it. They're concerned, andI think you're going to see a lot
of whistleblowers. I'm hearing there werevery very few. I don't want to
give an exact number, but veryfew. Actually, I don't think anyone
else has reported this. Actual SecretService post standers at that site that they
(53:59):
were temp HSI Homeland security folks, which are they're great folks, I'm not
knocking them, but that's not whatthey do. Specifically, be do protection
and we're trained for that. SoI'm hearing that. I'm also hearing that
the counter sniper team that they hada problem seeing over the elevation. That's
why I didn't engage right away.Oh come on, but that's not the
problem. The problem, well,it's the problem, but that's not the
(54:20):
real problem is where the hell wasthe aerial visual support? Why was there
no helicopter, Why was there nodrone? Why was there no flear?
Why was there no thermal forward lookingin for red? How the hell is
the crowd acting as the freaking countersurveillance. I know, if that's the
best asset you have is random Trumpsupporters telling police that there's a guy with
(54:42):
a gun. What technology are theydeploying? They're bragging about they have all
this new technology. I didn't seeit. By the way, there's more
to this. We'll get to itcoming on in just a little bit.
I have take quick break so wecan get our news in bottom of the
hour here. I but'd love tohear from you too. There are a
couple of things. The what roleit's played in the in a in a
(55:05):
very serious area here by the way, it will destroy anything it touches,
from corporations to governments. We're lookingat that happening right in front of our
face every day. I think that'sa big systemic. It's a whole issue
that's it's unfortunately responsible for so manythings. And when safety is at risk,
and they're doing this with healthcare rightnow, can you imagine we are
(55:27):
we're going to pick our doctors basedupon the superficial, you know, identifications,
whether it's skin color, or sexor any any type of these things.
No, I want my pilots whatmy doctors. And I want the
Secret Service it's guarding the president,to be the most qualified out there,
folks. There's no way around. There's one other piece these people pulled off.
(55:51):
Some of these Secret Service members werepulled off of Trump this week and
the story we're hearing the reports moreon that. We'll dig in after this
Detroit's News Talk Superstation nine ten.I that got so we've got question after
(56:22):
question. In fact that unfortunately that'sthat's all. We have more questions and
answers about what happened this week andin fact there's other pieces about who was
on duty there and what what reallyhappened. We're now being told because Jill
Biden, that's doctor Jill Biden, had an appearance in Pennsylvania this weekend,
(56:46):
many of the Secret Service detail normallyattached to President Trump were pulled off and
sent to the First Lady. Thisis a massive failure the Department of Homeland
Security folks were put in in place, and it is not just one piece.
(57:12):
It's failure after failure after Failure's anotherpiece at Bongino describes, tell me
about when they rush them over tothe to the van, I guess the
vehicle. It seemed like some ofthe Secret Service agents, I just don't
know if they had the stature thatI would expect to see, uh,
and the and the gravitas that Iwould expect to see protecting the former president.
(57:35):
Well, the rule is maximum tothe protect d minimum to the problem,
right, because you don't know howmany problems there are. So if
you try to rush rush to oneproblem like the Malcolm X shooting, and
there's another problem over there, you'regonna wind up getting dead quick. So
they did the right thing by rushingto the protect e on evac out.
Yeah, you do see a coupleof agents who one couldn't reholst the weapon
and things like this. So yeah, there were some def The other one
(57:58):
was like five foot four. Yeah. I mean you're going to find out
in the coming weeks that the physicalfitness standards for men and women are different.
That's weird because the protecte's weight andheight doesn't change for a man or
a woman. Does Cheetle get firedanytime? Since she needs to go immediately.
She has disgraced the Secret Service multipletimes. She needs to go.
She needs to be fired asap. But ma Orcis doesn't have the cojones to
(58:21):
do it. Biden should do it, leap frog Maiorcis and terminates zero zero
chance she's gotta go. Will henever fire us? Any service director?
Is? There's zero chance like hefires her? No way? Bongino with
Jesse Waters on Fox News last night. I want to talk about this and
some other issues, obviously, butthese are things that we continue to kind
(58:45):
of hear more about uncovering what reallyhappened this week, and I think we'll
hear more in the coming days. But joining us now, former Detroit Police
Chief James Craig joins us on theair with the latest Jee thank you for
being here with us today. Hey, justin thanks for having me on this
show. And this is something that'sclose to me having Well, let me
(59:07):
first start out, you know,my prayers continue to go out to President
Trump, his family, certainly thosewho were lost in this tragic situation.
And I listened to your monologue onthis issue. You talk like you have
years of experience and law enforcement, and I got to tell you who doesn't
have experience in law enforcement? Isthat director of the Secret Service. She
(59:29):
needs to be held accountable. Sheneeds to resign or get fired. Either
way. How do you put someonewith zero law enforcement background in as a
director? That's just beyond me.I'm not saying heavy director's job. You
have to have the requested experience, but we're talking about saving lives and this
is a failure absolutely, And everythingyou pointed out from the perimeter, the
(59:54):
high ground, wills, air support, these are things I was directly involved
into about my years. I randetails executive protection details in LA for both
the mayor city attorney as well asthe chief of police. And then,
of course, having been the chiefof police in three different cities, I
understood what protection looks like, notjust for myself, but for the mayor
(01:00:19):
in the cities or anybody else whoneeded. Now there's a lot of chatter
out there, and I'm hoping thatfolks will be transparent on what happened.
As it was pointed out they maynot have had the right agents attached to
President Trump because a secret service hasmoved over to First Lady. That's just
(01:00:39):
an excuse. Here's what I know, Okay, I get that the package
for a former president is very differentthan for a sitting president. We all
understand that. However, there havebeen numerous numerous threats against President Trump,
and so you have an opportunity asthose threats come in and assessments are made,
(01:01:00):
you can increase the package based onthe severity of the threats, serious
threats. That wasn't done. Theother thing. I was at the Trump
rally here in Detroit, I guessthree weeks ago, and because I have
a law enforce background, I firstlook at staffing levels. You know,
what does the perimeter look like? And the one thing that was noticeable for
(01:01:22):
me, yeah, secret service waspresident. But when you look at the
outside, the outer perimeter and innerperimeter, there was state police sufficiently staffed,
Detroit police officers sufficiently staffed in andaround that perimeter. So I guess
the question I have, and wedon't know the answer to this, where
(01:01:44):
was local and state police at thatvenue? And why did and given that
there's a different package for a formerpresident, what role, if any,
did the law enforcement play. Youknow, that's the question. See if
you mentioned something kind of interesting. We go back to Detroit a few weeks
(01:02:04):
ago, something happened there. Idon't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday,
but one of those days there therewas an incident where somebody was let
in and didn't go wasn't wanted, didn't go through the metal detectors and all
that, and so they had theyhad to kick everybody out essentially and then
(01:02:28):
bring people back through. And Iknow it caused a little bit of a
delay in the day and whatnot,But something as simple as that that had
taken place, it just shows youhow serious the nature is all of this.
Oh oh, it's very serious. And I've been to a couple of
events here in Michigan for President Trump. But let me just say, I'm
(01:02:50):
at my CPO, I'm armed,I'm a former police chief, and so
I'm a known person. I couldnot bring my weapon inside of that venue.
I couldn't do it. So andnot only that, as my car
came into the venue, they hadto check underneath in the engine compartment,
(01:03:10):
So there was a The security wascertainly present here in Detroit. I'm unaware
of that happening because I was therefrom from the very beginning, and I
don't have a recall. You know, people being moved out out of the
location, and that may have happenedbefore I got there, it may have
happened the day prior. I knowthey had security deployed on the day prior
(01:03:36):
to the event, which is commonand common practice as well, because you
don't want someone to hit the venueand secrete exposive devices. But I mean,
this is the fact they didn't evenhave air support or drone. What
about the local agency, the statepolice? Why wasn't there helicopter up and
so it's just a lot of questionsand given this administration's lackluster performance and being
(01:04:03):
forthright and issues that come up.I'm wondering what mallarcus or this. I
don't know if she's a secretary ordirector of Secret Service, what they're going
to really tell us. Again, she has no background in law enforcement.
Should there be a big answer thequestion? Should there be a congressional investigation
(01:04:25):
here like it was January sixth togo out of Jay thirteen, July thirteenth
investigation, massive prime time. Weneed to get into all of this and
find out what happened? Should that? Should that take place with the House
right now? Absolutely should take place. It should happen quickly. There's talk
now just s on Fox where Iguess she's meeting with some congress people today
(01:04:51):
or to provide a briefing. Butit needs to be an open briefing and
American people, who do you knowwhat happened? Not this, you know
gas lighting that was so accustomed to. Oh, the borders is the borders
are secure. I know, wecan see that the borders are secure.
You know, I'm just being facetious. I hope you listen to know that.
(01:05:14):
But this is the kind of gaslighting that happens and so it would
not surprise me if and the FBI, even though the FBI plays a role
in that a lead on the securityof lead in the investigation. But the
director needs to be there too.And I tell you something else that stood
out for me, having been inthe top seat when you talk about public
(01:05:38):
safety. And I think your listenersand those who live in Detroit know this
that anytime there was a major eventincident it took place, I was in
front of a camera within in lessthan an hour, because I felt strongly
that people need to know what's goingon. Are we in danger? What's
happening? And so this director haveher from her she puts a talking head,
(01:06:05):
the communications guy from the Secret Service, to put up a little canned
statement that's not acceptable, not onsomething this big. Let me ask a
you, James Craig with us rightnow. You know, and this is
a fair question. You can't blamepeople for thinking or wondering or asking because
(01:06:27):
of the massive and multiple levels layersof failure here. Something as simple as
look, I I'm just a guytalks on the radio. But I can
see you've got a building, youknow, four hundred feet away. You
would want to make sure that thingis secure. When you have a president
or former president or the man whowill be president again here just a matter
(01:06:48):
of months from now speaking, youwould want to make sure you got all
of this area secured. You haveprobably even have somebody posted at that building.
Then you'd maybe one wonder why ittook supporters to notice that there was
a man with a gun on topof the building, then letting folks know
law enforcement know that there was aman. Then why did it take like
(01:07:09):
five minutes to get something done? Why was he able to then fire shots,
get any shots off at all?All of these things you add them
up, and it makes people wonder, and I can't blame them for asking
the question was was there some sortof set up here? Or was this
just an ultimate failure of the DEIand all these other things that whenever they
(01:07:31):
do get inside of an organization, they corrupt and they kill. Yeah,
and you know, certainly that's somethingwe can't rule out whether this was a
setup, because I mean, whenI look at this situation, and again
I got to point out earlier inthis interview, you know, I've been
involved in many high pros file eventswith security was necessary, and I mean
(01:08:00):
I could take a brand new policeofficer and can figure out that, well,
you know, we got the innerperimeter, we get an outer perimeter.
And this building that was within whatone hundred and thirty yards away from
where the president was speaking, numberone, that should have been staffed by
a local police officer or state police. You know, you can let the
(01:08:20):
federal agents have the interior, butthat exterior has to be buttoned up by
state and local. Again, goingback to Detroit, there were so many
police officers, state police and Detroitpolice officers, and not just on the
(01:08:43):
enter but the outer permative. Andso there's things that you just do instinctively
because you know, and you know, I know the governor of that state
spoke very eloquently, but I thinkif I had been that governor, I
would have wanted to know. Hemaybe can't speak on behalf of the federal
resources that were there, but hecertainly is responsible for state asset. I
(01:09:10):
mean, what happened? Were theyproperly deployed? Because when you have a
high profile person coming in, clearlylocal law enforcement and the fans get together
and they have conversations. There's sitesurveys that are conducted days before the event
and then as I pointed out, like here in Detroit they had security on
(01:09:31):
that venue the day prior. Didthat even happen? You know? And
how does this young man, thismonster climb on top of this building with
a rifle? Yeah? I doesbeg the question was this is set up?
One more question for you, becausechief around this there is a report
(01:09:55):
that, in fact we're hearing nowthat a local law enforcement I don't know
it was a sheriff for police whoI don't know who it was, but
somebody encountered this young man and Idon't know if it was on the roof
or as he was headed up therule. I don't know where it took
place, but there was a reportthat he encountered him and that he backed
away. It didn't take him outat the time. There's also a question
(01:10:18):
about why, in fact, thisis the reports now that Secret Service was
told that they had to stand downand not take the guy out because they
have new rules of engagement. Idon't know how real any of this is,
but I'm just going to get yourtake on it. Yeah, that
sounds like I got to tell you. I mean, it sounds preposterous that
(01:10:39):
you know, new rules of engagement. When there's an immediate threat to likes,
there is no new rule to thatyou respond. And I'll plaud the
fact that the count stackers responded quicklyto the threat. But what you're also
telling me, which I had notheard, is a law enforcement officer saw
(01:11:00):
the suspect armed climbing up the sideof the building and did nothing. To
me. That's just you know, that person needs to be held accountable.
So if in fact that happened,I just I just could not imagine that
happened anywhere in the country any lawenforcement agency certainly would not have happened.
In Detroit. The Detroit police officerwitnessed somebody scaling a building with a rifle.
(01:11:26):
Here's the story. Local CNN hasa local officer tried to stop gunment
on rooftop but was unable to engagehim. Butler County Sheriff says the local
police officers saw the government on therooftop during the former president's trimp to Pennsylvania.
Sarrea was unable to engage in ButlerCounty Sheriff saying on Sunday, township
officers received calls about a suspicious personoutside the perimeter of the rally went looking
(01:11:50):
to find that person. Initial callsdidn't indicate the suspicious person had a gun.
During the search the suspicious person, officers of the township police discovered gunman
was on the roof, and onelocal officer hoisted another to get up to
the ledge. The shooter turned around, saw the officer peering over and pointed
his gun at him. The officerlet go of the ledge to take cover
(01:12:11):
and save his own life. Thegunman then started firing from the rooftop.
So it sounds like this happened veryquickly if it did take place, But
that is another scenario where we say, again, if that building had been
secured and we had people on topof it, none of this would have
happened. The whole point of thisis just to say this, and I
know you understand this more than anybody. All of this is inexcusable. There's
(01:12:35):
absolutely no reason for any of thesethings to ever become an opportunity. No,
it's horrible. And again that directorneeds to come in acknowledged the failure
and then said I'm submitting my resignation. I mean that's called leadership. You
(01:12:57):
failed American public, an American formerpresident and all these excuses and oh,
doctor Jill Biden had to go overand so we had to move a substantial
number. I mean, Okay,I understand why she should have protection,
but she's not a principal, youknow, so, I mean I have
a lot of feelings about that.I'm not saying she shouldn't be protected,
(01:13:20):
but to what degree, especially whenyou have a candidate, former president who
had receiving tons of threats, andso you make adjustments accordingly. I had
to do it all the time.I mean, thruts came in on me
on a regular basis. So whenthat happened, we made a justice.
I mean we made some shifts anddeployment of police officers around me. Yes,
(01:13:45):
I mean, it just happens. So you got to be fluid.
And so it's just so unprofessional thatyou would think that if you know that
somebody, I'm sure that, andI've heard reports it. President Trump is
probably the most threatened public official rightnow, probably more so than President Biden.
(01:14:05):
I'm not suggesting that you should reducethe staffing on Biden, but certainly
you got to make the right adjustmentsso that the principle is protected. We've
got to be able to walk inchew them at the same time. And
right now it doesn't appear that that'shappening. And you're right, You're absolutely
right. She ought to go myorchistatago. We've been talking about that for
some time now as well. Heshould have been gone. He should have
(01:14:29):
been gone two three years ago,you know. But yeah, this director
Kim Cheatle. I think her backgroundshe was a CEO for Nesley or something.
How does that translate into securing foodversus securing high profile political leaders.
(01:14:49):
We'll talk more about this, I'msure in the days theyhead. Chief James
Craig, thank you for taking thetime to be here with us. Unfortunately
we're out of time, but willyou come back and talk more when we
learn more about this? Oh?Absolutely anytime, more than willing to come
on to show Jessin appreciate Chief JamesCraig back. After this, we're going
to take a quick break and we'llget back to it. Detroit's news talk
(01:15:11):
superstation is nine ten am. I'lltell you the one thing we're not talking
about after everything that's happened Saturday,we're not talking about Bud. Maybe we
should, in fact, maybe weshould turn our spotlight onto him, and
(01:15:33):
of course the Big Boy Press conference'strip to Detroit, everything that took place
over the last several days, andof course there's new talk about you know,
who might replace him. Whether anybodywill replace him at this point is
entirely new, and I think fairquestion because of what's happened on Saturday.
(01:15:57):
But I also want to shine aspotlight on a man who deserves it,
a man who you notice I haven'tsaid that the name of them, individual
responsible for the attack and the failedassassination attempt. You notice I haven't.
That's that's intentional. There's a coupleof reasons for that, but I think
that number one, we ought toreally shine a spotlight on folks like the
(01:16:18):
hero, the man who died inthis attack, in the assassination attempt.
Over the weekend. I'm going totell you more about who he was,
his father who died protecting his familycoming out as well. Next hour.
You can join the program if youlack at any time. Two four eight
eight hundred eight two five five isthe number two for eight eight hundred talk
(01:16:42):
back after this justin Barklay dot com. Put the record live and send us
a message. Will be back nextbackcastery a power coutage, technical difficultment shoe.
(01:17:02):
We've got it all. Looks likewe've got it all stared away.
Technical difficulties not out of the ordinaryfor but you know, he had the
big boy, the big boy pressconference the other day, and the big
boy conference did that it didn't goso well. Then he made his trip
to uh Detroit and uh it was, like I said, the one thing
(01:17:25):
we're not talking about now, asthis horrific incident took place on Saturday,
the assassination attempt on President Trump, the one thing we're not talking about is
is Biden, which is strange. So all last week it was all Biden
and now it's all Trump. Wellthat's interesting in itself, isn't it.
(01:17:51):
I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trumpto be vice president, so I think
she's not qualified to be president. That was, of course, the moment
where he confused President Trump and VicePresident Kamala has now over two are very
similar, so I could see that. You can see that point. But
(01:18:14):
there was also a moment where hehe called Zelenski putin, which is a
whole nother weird point as well, which is it's it's it's it's hard to
you know, all of this,it's hard to excuse, but we are
(01:18:34):
used to it. And they hadto call him. I think when he
walking off the stage, I hadto call him back, say, wait
a minute, you said Putin. No, no, no, Now,
I want to hand it over tothe President of Ukraine, who has as
much courage as he has determination.Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin, President
Putin. You've got big president puts. President Lensky. I'm sure focused on
(01:18:59):
beating Putin. We gotta worry aboutit. Like it's saying this like it's
an election, like he's gonna beatput like it's an elect No, we're
talking about a war. In fact, nuclear war is a very real possibility
and a threat after everything what we'veseen in the last days. Why I
(01:19:19):
just I none of this, noneof this seems like it's it's a mistake.
Anyway, he came here and hemade his case while he was in
(01:19:40):
town. Now, who there's onething I noticed who wasn't here. Well,
I'll tell you who wasn't here.Whitmer was not here. Whitmer.
And on top of all this, she was out pushing her book, which
(01:20:02):
which is something else in of itself. This book, which now I know
people have examined it is a verythin I don't know if you've seen it.
Very thin book. It's not verynow I can't talk. The book
I've written was very thin. Butit's not a memoir either. The book
(01:20:26):
True Gretch is now starting to getit's it's a little bit of a well,
yeah, it's a little bit ofthe criticism for being how small it
is. She made her made herappearance on a few of the different shows
in Boys. She's just I don'teven want to play all of the audio
because it's just weird some of thestuff that she talks about. But while
(01:20:49):
he was here, Whitmer was raisingmoney, was not loving with billionaires out
in eye a Gretchen Wimer Skipps,Michigan's Biden visit the Court donors at Idaho
Billionaire Summer Camp. That's where shewas instead of being here. Now,
(01:21:15):
I don't know that it would havegone very well because the two I think
it's kind of an icy relationship. Now as Biden and particularly the Biden family,
they've they've really sort of yes,Queen Tato, that's it. They
kind of add odds because it lookslike, well, there she is trying
(01:21:40):
to send the latter, as itwere. She sees her opportunity, her
opening, and she's gonna take it. So there she is in according to
Cranes Detroit, out in Idaho,no speaking role from a waiter stand or
(01:22:03):
the officer office didn't give any detailsof that. A lot of tech billionaires
out at this Idaho summer camp andand there's that. So along with those
questions and the lines of you knowwhat about the replacement? Is Biden going
to biden replacement? There? Ishe going to be replaced? Who might
replace him? Well, I'll tellyou a lot of this has gone on
(01:22:27):
ice over the last couple of days. Any question, any number of folks
from from from Whitmer to Gruesome Gavenuwsomthe governor of the People's Republic of Camifornia,
to shell Omot. One thing isfor sure, all of this is
(01:22:53):
kind of cooled off. And what'sinteresting about it is people are now saying,
and I think it's I think it'swell, I do think there's some
legitimacy to this. After what happenedthis weekend, the assassination. Excuse me,
let's make it clear the failed assassinationattempt on President Trump to take his
(01:23:17):
life. After they failed, whoeverthey may be. After they failed,
the door sort of slammed shut onany idea that Biden would be replaced.
(01:23:42):
And here's why. The polling alreadyat massive levels. And we saw what
happened in fact, after the attempton Reagan's life back many years ago,
after all of this sort of takesplace, they really they now are are
confronting. And I'm not saying theywon't try again or there won't be another
(01:24:08):
attempt, God forbid. Let's justput it that way as well. But
if if President Trump moves forward andagain is elected, they don't want to
(01:24:31):
be wasting or losing their political capitalor their chance, let's just be honest,
their chance in all of this. They don't want to because if they
only get one shot so to speak, Okay, and Whitmer or Newsome or
(01:25:06):
whoever it might be coming up inthe in the days ahead, they don't
want they don't want to waste it, and I don't got Look, I
don't blame them. They know thatif they run right now, the chances
(01:25:29):
are that nobody can be Trump. And this is this is now the legitimate.
I think, come to Jesus realizationthat these folks are having that there's
nobody that can pull this off.And so I think you're going to start
to see a shift in strategy. You'll start to see a shift in some
(01:25:49):
of the other things that happen. And this is this is this is why
some of this talk might cool down. However, I'm not saying that it's
too late, because I don't thinkit's it's ever going to be too late
up until the end of the endof the end on this. In fact,
there are still people out there thatbelieve it's going to be and they
(01:26:10):
make a pretty good case for whyit might actually be. Michelle Obama,
which I think is kind of interestinganyway, just one of the one of
the casualties of what happened this thislast weekend and the failed assassination attempt.
(01:26:32):
Well, do you think two forright eight hundred? Talk is the number.
We'll try and get some phone callsin and also you can weigh in
if you'd like it. Justin barklaydot com. Let's click the talkback feature
sound off, hit the talkback buttonthere, start recording your voice message.
It will go right to us thatlittle red button that goes right to us.
Some message will come right to us, and then you will be able
(01:26:53):
to be on. By the way, if we use you on the air,
you get a book. We'll giveyou a signed copy of my book.
So for participating, joining in thefun, the chaos, the shenanigans
here this and every morning bank.Next, we're going to take a quick
greg We'll have the latest bundle, the hour, headlines, news, leather,
traffick altogether next on nineteen. Well, I'll tell you what's kind of
(01:27:18):
on. It's kind of interesting.Uh, it looks like it's been yanked.
MSD and C has yanked Morning Joefrom the air day one of the
R and C convention here apparently, and after the weekend the assassination have failed.
Assassination kept on President Trump. Goodmorning and thank you for being with
(01:27:42):
us. At is six am Eastern, I'm on a Cabrera reporting from New
York with special coverage this morning, and we are approaching thirty six hours since
that shocking assassination attempt on former PresidentTrump, the twenty year old gun.
Good morning, thank you for joiningus on this Monday. I'm Joe Fryar
and Savannah sellers, and we havea team standing by with the very latest
from Washington to Wisconsin and beyond. We are going to start though with Donna
(01:28:06):
Hutts, who was out no morning, Joe what anybody? Anybody know what
happened? They want somebody want tocheck on Joe and Mika. That's that's
interesting development. I don't know ifthey just felt like it's probably best to
pull them off after all the rhetoricand the things that have gone gone through
(01:28:30):
the last several days. I don'tknow. I want to jump on the
line if we can now and talkto someone who is a doctor who maybe
can give us some perspective on whathappened and how close we were to absolute
disaster this weekend, Doctor SCHERI O'donald'srunning for senate here in Michigan, and
(01:28:54):
she joins us now, doctor, appreciate you being here with us today.
Good morning, justin thank you forhaving me on. I know you have
an event coming up this week thatfolks are going to want to know about,
particularly in support of President Trump. We'll talk about that here in just
a moment, but first over theweekend, just talk about it. And
(01:29:14):
I showed this earlier as a doctor, maybe you can shine some light on
what exactly we watched the miracle thatI believe that we saw take place.
We now know that it was justreally millimeters of a difference from the disaster
that could have been to escaping itand essentially a scrape or a nicking on
(01:29:44):
the ear of the of the president. Is that bullet flew. We've got
even pictures that show the bullet flyingpast right behind his head. Unfortunately,
the tragedy they're injuring others and killinga man, a real hero who was
protecting his family, a father protectinghis family behind the president that day.
(01:30:05):
But there's a picture that shows kindof like the anatomy shows the brain and
the heat, and that really thethe angled difference when he turns his head.
President Trump turns his head to lookover at the screen to talk about
the illegal immigration and the the issuethat's that's that's causing so much problem here
(01:30:27):
in the in the country. Heturns his head there, and that may
may have made all the difference inthe world, just millimeters difference there,
and we'd be talking about a completelydifferent story altogether. Unfortunately, this might
e would want to think about it, but that's that's that's reality. Can
you talk it just from a medicalperspective, the tragedy we avoided, Oh
(01:30:51):
my goodness, justin so truly whenyou say millimeters, to put this in
perspective, the sickness of a sliceof difference would have killed him. Wow,
So you know we're talking and smallerthan that. I was gonna say
slice and cheese, but I mean, it's that that close. It would
have gone into the temporal lobe ofhis brain and absolutely would have killed him.
(01:31:14):
You know, Lance wall now andthe group that had been praying for
President Trump had said just last week, and Lord give him the discernment when
he should turn to his right andto the left. Well, pray's got
He turned to the right, andhe missed that. But it would have
absolutely taken him down right there. There would have been no possibility of survival,
and if so, he would havebeen absolutely vegetative. So I,
(01:31:36):
like you believe it was nothing shyof a miracle. And you know,
they've gone to a new low.Whoever it was, this twenty year old
whoever you know, And of coursethey're going to be researching and investigating it
and so on. But whoever thiswas was certainly to a new level of
low and we've got to keep himprotected. You know, he came out
and was asked, was asking forincreased Secret Service protection, and he was
(01:32:00):
denied that. I hopeful, I'mvery hopeful that now that will be increased.
Yeah, what about RFK Jr.I mean, this guy, his
father and his uncle were both assassinated, and yet the Biden administration, these
folks won't give him protection either. This is insane and in the day and
(01:32:23):
age where they're telling us we needto calm the rhetoric and cool the temperature
down, but they are the oneswho have been engaging at all, calling
him Hitler and all the things thatthey've said. The people on the right,
when they talk about things that aregoing on, the threats to the
country, they talk about things thatare happening now. People on the left
(01:32:43):
fantasize about where you know, we'veheard a lot about Project twenty twenty five
and things like that in recent days, and you know, what he might
do and how he might do thisand that, and this is where he's
going and he's but that's all fantasy. That's none of that's based in reality,
none of that's real. It's allconjecture or opinion. But we see
(01:33:04):
the real results of where the leftis has taking us today, with the
economy, of the open borders andall of the crime and the other issues
that people are so concerned with, and of course the cognitive ability of the
commander in chief, that's all inquestion. So there is a difference in
the h in what people are talkingabout. And I certainly do believe that
(01:33:29):
folks ought to unite as a country. I want to see that happen.
But let's not forget that it isthis radical, progressive, extremist left and
the politicians and media who have beenpushing this, you know, justin and
you're drawing. The difference between thereality and the subjected and their rhetoric thoughts
(01:33:51):
is so clear. The reality iswe've had somebody die who that man was
killed at the at the rally, and no life should be lost like that.
And yeah, they want to justit is all smokescreen. You know,
we're not able to do the increasedsecret service because we're giving the illegal
immigrants you know, money at theborder, and we're spending recklessly and uselessly.
(01:34:13):
Biden's administration has failed on every front. I can't think of anything that
has been successful. So we needto get Trump back into office. We
need to get the border clothes,we need to get inflation under control.
We need to get the kids learningthis year as opposed to being forty second
in Michigan on our scholastic aptitude. There are so many things that are broken,
and I believe number one, itbegins on our knees, and that's
(01:34:36):
you know where where we're taking it. But we've got to got to stop
this. And there is unified butyou don't unify with the devil. Yeah,
well that's that's a good point.You you know, I know,
let's get to the real reason.I guess that you wanted to talk today,
and then this is important. Youare gathering with folks with an event
(01:35:00):
and for last minute planned for tomorrowtomorrow night. I guess it is and
this is to support President Trump. It's such a very I think it's it's
a really it's an it's a wildtime to watch everything that's that's happening right
now. But he needs not justprotection from the Secret Service, but I
believe it's because of a divine protectionthat that he's even here today. And
(01:35:25):
I think it's become more apparent that'snecessary now more than ever. I agree
justin that's one of the reasons thatwe're doing this. So we are joining
with salt and light. I wasat a Biblical citizenry class with Rick Green
last night over in Charlotte after beingin shared in an albion, and it's
(01:35:45):
been in my heart since I've firstheard on Saturday Sunday, excuse me when
President Biden had the near miss. But as ear was shot, I thought,
Lord have mercy and I realized, you know what, this is our
call to prayer, this is ourclearing call, well, especially right now
as President Trump and others are atthe rn C in Milwaukee. So we
decided very quickly, but I thinkit's it is a quick call to prayer
(01:36:09):
to have to host a prayer meetingat the Country Mill Farm in Charlot And
yeah, it is a quick butyou know what we're called to quickly pray.
You know, we don't decide threeweeks from now, We're going to
pray four weeks from now. Weneed to be in that attitude of prayer,
especially when that what happens Sunday aswell as you know, being at
(01:36:30):
the rn C. And we knowthat the left is not going to stop
attacking President Trump. He survived somuch up to this point, and now
even the attempt to assassin so sixpoint thirty at Country Mill Farm in Charlot
and we're expecting we're expecting several hundred, if not one thousand. But it's
time to come out and pray together. United, we stand divided, we
(01:36:54):
fall come out and join us topray and have let's bombard Heaven with the
prayers of the saints. Doctor Cherryo'donald running for Senate here in Michigan,
and that race continues to heat upinto the primary here in just days away.
I know folks are already starting tomaybe even cast ballots in this What
(01:37:17):
are what are you hearing from folks, Doctor Sherry as you continue down this
path and make your pitch to peopleof Michigan that you've you've got just what
the doctor ordered, the prescription tosolve these problems. It is so exciting
from that aspect. Justin I mean, people are coming up to me,
(01:37:39):
no matter the event that I'm goinginto, no matter where. Just Sunday,
I went to a restaurant and peopleare like, that's her and coming
up from one lady said hey,I got my ballot and I already voted
for you. Let's go girl power. You know. She high five me.
The guys were standing around her too, didn't know each other, but
they also came up to me,Justin. We are garnering that support.
The grassroots is being united behind me. So many counties have come and done
(01:38:03):
precinc delegate endorsements, and I'm glaringlyat the top of their list. Justsin,
I absolutely believe we're going to dothis. But people are hearing me,
meeting me, seeing me. We'vebeen in seventy nine counties now.
If I could have gotten up toRosscommon on Sunday would have been the eightieth.
So people are getting behind the message, realizing I'm not a recycled politician,
(01:38:24):
realizing I'm doing this for we thepeople and for them. The same
level of advocacy that I've done formy patients I'll continue to do for them.
They are all also realizing that Iam the strongest candidate to go against
the list of Slotkin and her evilrhetoric. Throw two females in the rink.
We're going to fight it out.Throw a doctor and As soon as
(01:38:45):
she says it's okay to transgender ourchildren or to abort our babies, I'll
ask her where her medical license is. Doc Sherry Doc Scherrey twenty twenty four
dot com. Obviously the website ifyou want to get more information. Talk
about the prayer meeting again so folkscan be there. This is going to
happen tomorrow night if you want tomake it out, probably now more than
(01:39:09):
ever, time to come together andenjoin each other. We talk about unity.
This is the way to do it. Absolutely, So at the Country
Mill Farm, and we'll have thewebsite, we'll have flyers out very quickly.
But at the Country Mill Farm inCharlotte, Michigan at six thirty in
(01:39:30):
the evening where we'll have salt andlight there. We will have other speakers
there. But we're coming together topray. You know, the Word tells
us. If my people they arecalled by my name, will humble themselves
and pray and seek my face,I will hear from heaven and heal their
land. That's where we're at.So everybody that's ever prayed, come on
(01:39:51):
out and join us. Country MillFarm in Charlotte. Doc Shery, Doc
Chery you only tell me for dotcom doctor, appreciate you taking the time
to be here. Whe us anduh and we'll talk to him. God
bless thank you so much, Godbless you and America. Amen. Okay,
back in just moments, folks whoget the Glenn Back Program coming up
in minutes as well. Glenn's gota lot on the on the radar today
(01:40:15):
we'll try and get to the latestfact. He's got somebody but you probably
recognized. I know I've heard heron the Glenn Back Program before. Very
talented reporter. But she was there. Selena Zito from the Washington Examiner was
there. What she saw happen onthe ground in Pennsylvania. She gives it
(01:40:39):
up date and uh and more.Is a Glenn Back Program nine to noon
the day one you won't want toask Hi about Detroit's news talk Superstition nine
Today, I'm back next one ofthe heroes und the honest. There's a
couple of moments and things that needto be made and obviously the near the
(01:41:01):
near. Really that miss Trump turnninghis head just moments as that shot is
fired is a miracle. The factthat it did not hit him is a
miracle. The fact that the crowdstayed so quiet and so calm for the
(01:41:21):
most part. The fact that hegets up and he encourages everyone, telling
people that he's okay essentially encourages peopleto fight. Those are all things that
are I think major moments. Again, I don't think it could be said
enough for how the crowd responded, because it's not reaction at this point,
(01:41:44):
but it's its response. How theyresponded in that moment one of the most
heartbreaking pieces of the story that unfortunatelyyou haven't heard that. I don't seen
the media cover this as much asthey should. A hero was lost.
We know one man was killed. He was a hero. This is the
(01:42:06):
very definition a firefighter. Retired noton duty that day, but he he
was killed in the line of duty, the duty of serving his family.
(01:42:27):
This written in a post online fromhis daughter Allison. Yesterday time stopped,
and when it started again, myfamily and I started living a real life
nightmare. What was supposed to bean exciting day that we all look forward
to, especially my dad, turnedinto the most traumatizing experiences someone could ever
imagine. You know, the mediawill cover this event, and I'm going
(01:42:49):
to try my best to stay awayfrom looking at everything, especially because I've
already seen and lived through it allin real time. But I want everyone
to know what the media will coverand what they will not say about him,
her father. He was the bestdad a girl could ever ask for.
(01:43:10):
My sister and I needed, neverneeded anything. You call, he'd
answer. He would do whatever itis you needed, and if he didn't
know how, he would figure outhow. He would talk and make friends
with anyone, which was what hewas doing all day yesterday. He loved
every minute of it. He wasa man of God. He loved Jesus
(01:43:31):
fiercely and also looked after our churchand our members as family. The media
won't tell you that he died areal life superhero, and I'm going to
tell you that how quickly he threwmy mom and I to the ground.
They're not going to tell you thathe shielded my body from the bullet that
came at us. He loved thisfamily, He truly loved us to take
(01:43:57):
a real bullet for us. Iwant nothing than to cry on him and
tell him thank you. I wantnothing more than to wake up and for
this not to be reality for meand my family. We lost a selfless,
loving husband, a father, abrother, an uncle, a son,
and a friend. I'll never stopthinking about him and warning him over
(01:44:18):
until the day that I died too. July thirteenth will forever be a day
that changed my life. A lotof children out there they say their dad
is a hero, but my dadreally is, really is my hero.
I don't think I would be heretoday without him, she writes, Dad,
I love you so much. Hardenough words to express how deep that
(01:44:43):
love goes. I know you'll giveHeaven some hell. I know that God
is proud of the man that cameto his gates yesterday, the retired firefighter
in chief, the victim killed inthe line of duty of serving his family
(01:45:10):
that day, one of the audiencemembers. And again the media won't talk
about him, but we won't talkabout the man responsible. We'll leave his
name out, but we'll tell you, mister comparatory, the small town is
a hero that ought to be oughtto be looked up to. That's it
(01:45:35):
for to day. The Lindback programcoming up next nine to noon Back tomorrow.
I got a great deck. God, bless you have. The city boy
