(00:07):
I always want to kick the dooropen and stride in. When I hear
George starro Goood and the Delaware Destroyersplaying bad to the Bone, that's just
such a great entrance music. Welcometo Thursday, day four of Justin Barclay's
vacation. My name is Mike o'palka. I am so honored and humbled to
(00:29):
be here on News Talk Superstation nineten am. Welcome to Thursday. As
I said, you look fantastic, and we got a better weather day than
we had yesterday. You're gonna havepartly sonny. A lot of people say,
oh, it's packtly cloudy. No, those are the negative nancies you
want to stay away from. It'spartly, sonny. Let's take the win
(00:51):
when we get the win. Okay, let's take the win. So much
happening today since we last left twentyone hours ago, and today is a
very important day. Today is andthis is actually the term they're using in
Washington, DC, big boy pressconference day. Joe Biden's gonna partake in
(01:15):
a big boy press conference. Dowe sound like the weakest people on the
planet or what. I'm really nota big fan of the or what.
But it seemed appropriate to use itas punctuation here. Yes, our president,
and he is our president. I'mnot going to be like those ladies
on the view who when they don'tlike who the president is, they don't
(01:38):
claim the president is their president. He's unfortunately, our president. That's what
I tell everybody. Unfortunately, butfor how long yesterday there was a major
crack in the Democrat firewall. Therewas a major defen from the Democrats' support
(02:02):
of Joe Biden. I played youthe kind of Nancy Pelosi waffling moment yesterday,
and Pelosi's back again today too,and I played some of the other
clips of Democrats saying that they're standingwith Joe Biden. You had Jim Clyburn,
who engineered Biden's entire primary win intwenty twenty, and over the weekend.
(02:24):
In the first couple of days ofthis week, Cliburn appeared to be
saying, yeah, I'm riding withBiden. We're riding with Biden. They
were saying, we're riding with Biden. And then after yesterday morning, when
a George Klooney op ed appeared inThe New York Times, Ladies and Gentlemen,
(02:49):
the paper of Record, the DemocratBible. Some Democrats actually read the
other Bible, the real Bible. But men, any of them look at
the New York Times as their politicalbible. It is the paper of record
for so many, not for me. But when George Clooney, a guy
(03:10):
who almost four weeks ago it wasthe fourteenth or fifteenth of June, held
a fundraiser for Joe Biden out inHollyweird. He had that big celebrity fundraiser
that he was he was holding letme let me make sure. Yeah,
it was Flag Day. It wasFlag Day. Clooney was out in Hollywood
(03:34):
with a bunch of his celebrity buddies. It was that Flag Day. Also
now declared by the White House ElderAbuse Awareness Day. No irony, there
is there right this White House actuallypushing the awareness of elder abuse while showing
us exactly what it is. Soat this fundraiser, that's the one where
(03:59):
Obama had to grab Joe Biden bythe hand and walk them off the stage.
Remember after Joe froze, he waslike one of the Hall of President's
statues, one of the robots inDisney. When you go there, you've
seen him, I'm sure. Buttheir mouth moves, but their body is
(04:19):
real still. But Biden froze, and Obama looked over and grabbed his hand
and arm and then walked him offthe stage. And we all knew,
and I think they all knew. But that night, the Hollywood cognizanti had
gathered and donated thirty million dollars tothe Biden Harris campaign. Thirty million dollars.
(04:46):
What's you think about that? Thirtymillion bucks they raised in one night?
And the numbers of dollars raised inall these political campaigns is always staggering
to me. I look at thisand I think we're spending we as a
nation, left and right, arespending over a billion dollars to elect someone.
(05:08):
That's how important the position is.That's how powerful the position is.
But that should put it into perspective. So less than a month ago,
Colooney and some of his Hollywood palshost this event and they raise all this
money. Do you think they didnot know? Do you think they were
clueless to what was going on?It really seems to be doubtful to me
(05:33):
that they couldn't have realized that JoeBiden was in bad shape. And that
was before the debate, which nowtoday was two weeks ago today. So
do you think they didn't No,they knew. They had to know.
(05:54):
But were they just hoping to getacross the finish line? Is that what
it was? They were just hopingto get through the election. They were
counting the days. We're now atone hundred and sixteen days and changed to
the election. Is that what theywere just just saying, Okay, we
just got to get across the line. He can retire. He'll then put
Kamala in. Joe will stand upafter after he has sworn in on the
(06:19):
twenty first of January and twenty twentyfive, and he'll look at the American
people. And this is after hetold this to Kamala. I'll develop some
disease and say after he'sign See that'sthe plan. At least that might have
been one of the plans. SoClooney and company had to know. They
(06:41):
had to know. Colooney acknowledged thathe saw a different kind of Joe Biden
at the fundraiser. In his oped, he said, quote, it's
devastating to say it, but theJoe Biden I was with three weeks ago
at the fundraiser was not the Joebig fi deal Biden of twenty ten.
(07:02):
He wasn't even the Joe Biden oftwenty twenty. He was the same man
we all witnessed at the debate. Now, that debate which has been called
a disaster, that debate which somany people have said, Oh my god,
how could you have allowed that togo on? Clooney saw that four
weeks ago. Three weeks ago,by his count, Clooney admitted it.
(07:29):
He also said, was he tired? Yes, the cold maybe, But
our party leaders need to stop tellingus that fifty one million people didn't see
what we just saw. We're alsoterrified of the prospect of a second Trump
term that we've opted to ignore everywarning sign. This is George Klooney writing
this in the New York Times.Clooney also tries to rationalize for people who
(07:58):
are freaking out. Is fair,he says, is if fear to point
these things out, it has tobe. This is about age, nothing
more. But nothing can be,nothing that can be reversed. Remember,
this is a guy who has oneof those golden idols that democrats so often
confer wisdom along with it. Hehas an Academy award, he has an
(08:20):
Oscar and that gives him credibility. He went on to say, we love
to talk about how the Republican Partyhas seated all power and all of the
traits that made it so formidable withReagan and Bush to a single person who
seeks to hold the presidency. Andyet most of our members of Congress are
(08:43):
opting to wait and see if thedamn breaks. But the damn has broken,
we can put our heads in thesand and pray for a miracle in
November. We can speak the truth. This is George Colooney telling Democrats Joe
Biden can't be your nominee. Iwonder how many of them are actually waking
(09:07):
up today and rereading it, becauseyesterday they were running from the press.
Yesterday many Democrats were sprinting away fromthe press. Debbie Dingle, Michigan's owned
Debbie Dingle, the woman who currentlysits in the Dingle seat, as I
like to call it in the Houseof Representatives, a seat occupied by a
dingle for decades. I think wemight have even reached a century so far
(09:33):
having a dingle in the house. There's a dingle in the House, and
I know it. Debbie Dingle yesterdaywas asked about Joe Biden again. And
this remember this is after the GeorgeClooney op ed has hit and is rocking
and rolling. Debbie Dingle is gettingtired about being asked about Joe Biden.
(09:56):
I do just want to ask youagain if you think President Biden is the
strongest person at the top of theticket to win Michigan in the fall.
He's the candidate right now, andthese are do you beat your wife kind
of questions? Oh, Debbie Dinglefirst of all didn't say yes. She
said he's the candidate right now.Interesting, right, he's the candidate right
(10:24):
now, and these are beat yourwife? Do you beat your wife kind
of questions? Meaning stop asking methese questions. Debbie Dingle is no slouch.
Debbie Dingle finds her way in frontof a camera more often than not.
She's almost up there on the ChuckSchumer level. Although Schumer's kind of
been missing in action. We needto talk about that too. So is
(10:48):
today the day? I know?Yesterday I thought for certain, and I
said it here on this here radioshow. Yesterday I thought there's no way
they'll let Biden get out until afterdur The RNC, which is next week
starts Monday, as a matter offact, you're going to start seeing Sunday
night shows on Fox and CNN andMSNBC that you don't normally see live from
(11:11):
the convention, predicting what's going tohappen. And I thought for certain the
Democrats would not would not give theGOP all of that ammunition, because if
Biden has to step aside ahead ofthe RNC, the RNC becomes a complete
Biden attack fest. But with GeorgeClooney's op ed appearing and making so many
(11:39):
not ripples, tsunami sized waves inthe news cycle, it might have to
happen before the convention. It mighthave to happen after NATO leaves town.
It might have to happen after theNATO press conference today, the one they're
calling the big Boy presser. Iknow, I couldn't believe it. And
(12:03):
later today when we get back,we'll talk about it. The Democrats are
trying to already diminish the importance oftoday's press conference. One of the first
times we've been told in a longtime that Joe Biden will take more than
two questions at a press conference. Can you imagine what the first question is
(12:24):
going to be? Are you andGeorge Clooney still friends. You know he
said you should step down, Sir. I can't wait. Press conference is
going to happen today, but Ihave more on this, Plus we have
other stories I have to get totoday. I have a host of stories
to share with you, and Iwould love to hear from you as well.
(12:46):
Of course, the number two foureight eight hundred talk two four eight
eight hundred talk. We'll get intothis. The House is also trying to
subpoenas some of Biden's staffers. Thereis a move to make sure only citizens
vote in the national elections in thiscountry. Democrats have a problem with that.
Not kidding, not kidding. There'sa power move among really far left
(13:11):
wealthy Democrats, one of them namedSorrows and flying Cars. Are they here.
There's a new indicator that says theymight be coming sooner than we think.
And I welcome that, but Ialso fear it. We'll talk about
all of it. It's Miche Pelkein for our buddy Justin Barklay and the
(13:31):
Justin Barclay Show on News Talk superstationnine ten am. It is six twenty
four on this Thursday morning. Itis the Justin Barclay Show. This week
without Justin. He will be backnext week. Loaded for Bear. I'm
absolutely certain he is going to beready to rock and roll on Monday,
(13:56):
kicking off the Republican National Committees conventionout of Milwaukee, and I'm very excited
about it. I've attended the lastthree Republican presidential conventions, that's right,
twenty twelve, twenty sixteen, andtwenty twenty, and I will tell you
they're always surprising. Everybody lays outthe agenda ahead of it and we're told,
(14:20):
yeah, you're going to do this, this and this, and then
something happens. Something always happens. And so it's going to be an incredible
week and Justin will be all overit here on the News Talk superstation nine
ten AM. But today's the day. Today's a consequential day. Today's the
day that Joe Biden is going tohave what they have been calling a big
(14:43):
boy press conference, a big boypress conference. And last night over on
the CNN maybe you've heard of it. They kind of think of themselves as
a news channel. Last night overat the CNN, Chris Cooins, who
was a senator from the state ofDelaware where I live, and Chris Coons
is a good human being. He'sjust wrong on so many things. I
(15:09):
say that with all honesty. Iknow Chris Coons. I know him as
a good family man and he's agood dude. He's just twisted because he's
a Democrat. And he's also signedhis political soul over to the Democrats in
(15:30):
order to get the Senate seat thathe got when Joe Biden was elevated to
vice president. That's when he tookthat seat. And he's been a loyal
Biden spokesperson whatever you want to callhim. I think he's a co chair
of the Biden campaign. They havea bunch of them, and those people
are the ones who can be reliedupon at every turn to support the mission.
(15:56):
And Chris Coons was on CNNs,I said with Caitlin Collins last night
and they were talking about the pressconference today, and it seems as if
and correct me if I'm wrong,on listen, I know you will because
so many of you are out thereto for eight eight hundred talk, willing
to share your thoughts and opinions. It seems like they're starting to set the
(16:19):
bar low. They're starting to lowerexpectations, if you will, in terms
of how Joe might perform in thispress conference following the NATO event today.
Here's a little bit of the backand forth with Caitlyn Collins and Chris Koons.
But when you look at the numbers, he's sent thirty six news conferences
(16:42):
to date since he's been in office. That's not as many as his predecessors
had done. I want to stopher right there. That's a very loose
interpretation of the term press conference, because the press conference used to be the
press incident would come into the pressbriefing room in the ground level of the
(17:04):
White House, and the White HousePress pool would be there, and questions
would be asked and answered. That'show it used to be. Now there
currently, what we've seen under thisadministration, there is a select group of
people who are allowed to ask questions, and the questions are pre screened.
(17:26):
They're on the card that the presidenthas to say. Biden's done thirty six,
and compare it to Bush, whodid eighty two at this point in
his first term. Obama seventy two. Trump's sixty four, and that's not
county the times Trump would be walkingin and out of the White House and
speak to reporters as he was gettingready to aboard the helicopter, sometimes for
(17:51):
twenty thirty forty minutes. So that'skind of bravo. Sierra and Trump had
done sixty four by this point.Obama seventy two, Bush eighty two is
going to be speaking tomorrow. Howhigh do you think the stakes are for
that press conference? Look, Idon't think we should set the stakes too
high. I think we should belooking at how he's doing at the event
today with the AFLCIO, speaking toobviously a supportive group. They endorsed him,
(18:15):
but unscripted, no teleprompters. Ihope he does well. I expect
he'll do well in the press conferencetomorrow, So let's not set the bar
too high. I was expective toreally do that well. Yeah, point
to him talking to a friendly crowdat the AFLCIO, who've all been brief
and when to clap and when tostand and scream. I've got more on
(18:40):
this because there's a whole lot moreand as I said, many other topics.
Plus, we have a really specialguest coming up in the eight o'clock
hour today, you're going to wantto stick around. It's Mico pelke In
for Justin Barclay on the Justin BarclayShow on News Talk superstation nine ten am.
(19:02):
It is six thirty five on aThursday morning. Mike o'pelka in for
Justin Barclay this week. If you'vebeen here, then you know I am
a talk radio host who travels thecountry via technology. I don't travel the
(19:22):
country. I just travel the countryusing technology to sit in for my friends
and clients who are radio talk showhosts, all of them conservative, oddly
enough, because that's what I am, and I also like to think of
myself as a fair man. Idon't claim Republican or Democrat status. I'm
(19:45):
lean conservative, libertarian, small government, big freedom. If you want to
know what libertarianism is, that's theanswer. Small government, big freedom.
See. The problem with big freedomthat a lot of people don't understand or
aren't willing to accept, is thatit's hard. It's really hard to be
(20:07):
that responsible for almost all aspects ofyour life. But it's so much better
than being dependent on a massive governmentto do everything for you. I'll go
back to the statement I think itwas Margaret Thatcher and many of parroted similar
thoughts that if the government gives youeverything, it can also take everything from
(20:30):
you. And I think a lotof people are seeing that with the migrant
situation, the illegal invasion of America, with all of the millions of people
who've come into the country, andhow their presence in the country has hurt
the people who need and have cometo depend on government assistance so much.
(20:55):
The money that has been allocated tohow to feed, to clothe, and
to educate the millions of people who'vecome here is astronomical, and it has
then stressed the budgets of so manycities. The city included, but every
(21:21):
major market that has a migrant population, a group of illegals, either living
on the streets or in the airports, or in the hotels, or in
schools in cases like Chicago, everyone of those cities is straining to deal
with the cost. And somebody puttogether a breakdown because New York City is
(21:45):
I guess one of the big testcases for this, and how much the
housing of the illegals is costing. And I'm not even getting into the crime
aspect of it, but just theover cost of what we're spending. And
it seems like, oh, well, the city's spending that. Well,
(22:07):
guess where the City gets their money. They look at you and they look
at me. They check this oneout, the taxpayer tab for that one
billion dollars. So the hotels aremaking money and we are paying for it
all. And there's another statistic thatif you break it down, per household,
three hundred and fifty two dollars perday for New York households, three
(22:30):
hundred and fifty two dollars per day. For every person in New York is
paying for the migrants this billion dollarand I think it's like a billion dollars
a month now that it's costing them. And now I want to talk about
getting into the additional costs of what'shappening in the schools. We're seven seven
(22:52):
weeks away, I think, fromthe return of school, and we now
have groups of children who will becoming to schools who don't necessarily speak English.
Because you know, we're such agiving nation, we don't require people
to learn the language here. Asa matter of fact, Barack Obama told
(23:17):
all of us to learn how tospeak Spanish. But it's wrong. You're
a racist if you want people tolearn English. I lived in New York
City for twenty plus years, andwhen you go to the DMV in New
York City. I don't know whatit is here in Detroit. We should
check and aiden maybe you can lookit up on the al Gore's Internet while
we're While I'm talking here, howmany language is does the Michigan DMV offer
(23:44):
for people to take the driver's licensetest? When you go to get your
driver's license? How many languages isit given it? In New York State
it was more than thirty. Whenyou go in to pick up the pamphlet
on how to pass the driver test, there were more than thirty languages.
Now correct me if I'm wrong,But the average car is about two tons,
(24:08):
about four thousand pounds. We havebig cars now, these SUVs.
These big cars are on the road, some of them even bigger. And
when you get two tons of metalrolling down the highway at sixty miles an
hour, sixty five, okay, maybe someone's driving the speed limit. I
don't know who that person is,but they're getting the finger from everyone passing
(24:29):
them. When you get that twotons of metal going down the highway at
sixty miles an hour, and someonehas to make a split second decision because
the sign says exit twenty two.In quarter of a mile. That sign's
written in English, it's not intwenty languages. And the people who are
(24:51):
out there in the twenty thirty fortylanguages that are now getting driver's licenses,
they're not gonna be able to processEnglish to their native language that quickly.
I'm just saying, it's such sucha crazy, crazy thing that we have
(25:14):
allowed to happen, just insane. And the cost to the schools will now
be added on to the cost tothe cities that are housing people, that
are feeding people, that are clothingpeople. And then we're going to have
to add in the crime cost becausethat cost is skyrocketing, and no one's
(25:41):
really talking about it because we're notreporting it. And then I want to
add on top of that the issueof the border and who's coming across.
Sure, you have some people inthe twelve million, maybe fifteen million people
are here that are here for abetter opportunity, that want the American dream,
(26:03):
that want to come here and workand pay taxes and live a better,
safer life some and then you havepeople that come here and they're not
so interested. Last month, therewas a story and there has been not
so much follow up on the story. There was a story about eight individuals
who were arrested in New York,Philadelphia and Los Angeles. And these were
(26:30):
eight individuals who were here and theywere on the terror watch list, and
they were they were planning to dobad things, and they were all from
one area. They were all fromone area. And what we have learned
is they were from one of thestands. You know, Afghanistan Tookmenistan all
(26:56):
the stuff to Djikistan. It's thestand that they came from. And the
ICE officials who have been trying toprotect our border, but this administration is
not allowing them to do their job. The ICE officials are now scrambling because
they got orders just in the lastcouple of weeks after those eight eight suspects
(27:19):
ISIS terror suspects were grabbed up allacross the country that we're not allowed to
take migrants illegals, meaning from Tajikistanand release them into custody. From custody,
if we get people from Tajikistan,we now put them through a rigorous,
(27:40):
rigorous questioning why why aren't we sendingthem back? According to some of
the people interviewed in this piece forThe New York Post and we're trying to
get the author of the peace on. Her name is Jenny Tare. She
is one of the great reporters doingyeoman duty at the border. Jenny talked
(28:00):
with Tom Homan, who used tobe the ICE director. He says,
it seems like the damage is done. I appreciate they're trying to do what
they can after the fact, butthe bottom line is if they would just
turn on the Trump policy, securethe border and catch and release, we'd
be a lot safer. He's right, and this is why. On Donald
(28:22):
Trump's plan of action, donald Trump'spoints for the convention, which has been
adopted by the party already, thenumber one thing is to shut the border.
Secure the border. So far thisyear and we're halfway through the year,
we're starting second half of the yearnow, at least five hundred,
five hundred people from Tejikastan have beenstopped at our southern border. That's this
(28:48):
year. In the past fourteen years, guess how many Tejiks have been stopped
and caught crossing our border. Fivehundred this year. Just putting it right
in the number down on your paperright there. We're going to go back
fourteen years. The last fourteen years, we have caught twenty six to jeeks,
(29:11):
we're talking about six months and twoweeks right now, six months and
not even two weeks, six monthsand eleven days, five hundred and I'm
not even getting into the situation andhow many people are here from China,
mostly of military age, mostly male. If we don't have a heightened threat
(29:32):
level in this country, we're notpaying attention. This is one of the
major reasons I believe Donald Trump isgoing to win in a landslide is that
we are we are so so vulnerable, and as was often said after September
eleventh, after this country was attackedon September eleventh, two thousand and one,
(29:56):
we have to be right every timewhen we go after terrorists. They
only have to be right once.We can't ever make a mistake. So
now the Biden administration is scrambling tostop the release of migrants from Tajikistan,
which is also an ISIS hotbed, which ISIS was allowed to reconstitute after Joe
(30:18):
Biden took office. Right, yes, Don Trumpe had all but wiped them
out, but Joe managed to helpthem get back on their feet. It's
really disturbing if Jenny Tare joins us. It may be today, maybe tomorrow.
We'll talk about the situation because frankly, I think every town is now
a border town, and I thinkyou understand that too, because you're not
(30:44):
looking the other way. All Right, I have to get to something a
little bit lighter in the schedule. We'll talk more about what's happening in DC
today. I have so many moreclips I want to play for you and
share for you, including Joe Biden. Last night, last night, they
keep saying Chris Coons told us it'simportant to watch him at NATO. Senator
(31:06):
Coons told us, you know, don't be obsessed with what happened at the
debate. Don't be focused so muchon Joe Biden and how he's having problems
speechifying live in public. We haveto pay attention. We have to pay
attention to him at the NATO event. Well, see last night he was
(31:27):
having dinner with the NATO allies. The President and the First Lady hosted a
dinner and Joe got up. Hehad a script, didn't have a teleprompter,
but he has script and he wasreading from it. And even when
he has a script in front ofhim, in ten seconds. He can't
(31:48):
get a sentence straight. The alliesin this room not only share a common
language, don't share a common language, we do not share a common border.
But we are neighbors. We're neighbors. Can we diagram that sentence?
Anyone else? Go to Catholic schoolsa kid. I did, and the
nuns would make you go up tothe board and you'd have to diagram the
(32:09):
sentence. You have to put thenoun and the verb, and the adjectives
and the adverbs, and you haveto put the prefaces. You have to
identify them all. Can we identifywhat? And then let's even get into
the actual meaning of what he said. The allies in this room not only
share a common language, don't sharea common language. Now I understand he's
(32:31):
reading, and maybe he should haveread it ahead of time. Maybe this
is not that difficult a thing toexpress. I've only heard it twice,
and I can figure out what hewas going up there and meaning to say
that. The allies in the roomdon't share a common language, we don't
even share a common border. Butwe're neighbors. We're neighbors. It's not
(32:55):
that difficult. It's another sign ofthe problems, another son of the problems.
So many more things to get to. Are we gonna have flying cars?
I'll explain why. I'm kind ofexcited and yet concerned at the same
time. There may be some bignews about flying cars. I'll share it
(33:19):
with you just around the corner.Do you would you like a flying car?
I do think I would like one. I'm just worried about who else
is gonna get one? Two foureight eight hundred talk. If you have
a thought to for eight eight hundredtalk. It's Mike Opelka in for Justin
Barklay on News Talk superstation nine tenam. It is nine fifty five first
(33:39):
hour, almost wrapped up here.MICHAEH. Opelka is my name, sitting
in for Justin Barclay right here onthe newstalk superstation nine ten am. Thank
you, I appreciate you being here. We have so much more to get
to. My goodness, what aconsequential day ahead of us. And I'm
(34:00):
pushing the pause in the politics spotand although I will play you some very
interesting clips. Just after the topof the hour, mister Trump asked a
very important question by Brian Kilmead. You heard a little bit there Robin Hoffman
talking about it in the news, and he also went further kill me did
in asking Donald Trump about one specificcandidate. And it's raised a question about
(34:24):
facial hair and vice presidents and doyou care? Maybe we'll do a poll
on that. Do you care ifa VP candidate has facial hair? I
know someone saying that that means women, you're going to preclude women. No,
some of them have a lot offacial hair. We'll get into that
(34:45):
different topic. But I've been afan of the idea of flying cars for
a long time. A kid growingup in the seventies, I watched as
we were told we'd have backpacks, that we could have jet packs. We'd
fly around, go to school,go to work with our jetpacks, and
you'd see the prototypes and we've nevergotten those. They've never happened. I
(35:07):
remember going to a Chicago White Soxgame. They stunk, then they stinked
now, and they had a displaya demonstration of a guy flying into the
park from outside on a jetpack, and my dad said, you're going to
be flying one of those when yougo to work or school, now you
okay? Bringing on, We didn'tget that. We don't have flying cars
yet either, But we're closer. We are closer. There's a German company
(35:31):
called Lilium, and they now havegotten a major order to buy a hundred
of their electric taxis, which arelittle jets, little electric jets, and
they're going to actually show us areal flight, a manned flight, for
(35:52):
the end of the year. I'mnot a big fan of the electric vehicle
thing. There's so much problems,so many difficulties. I'm a big fan
of internal combustion engines, and Idon't know if the electric jets have the
kind of reliability we have out ofinternal combustion engines or the jet engines we
(36:15):
currently have today. And while I'mexcited about the idea of having a flying
car, the cost right now isthrough the roof. Of course, I
just don't want everybody on the roadto be able to have the ability to
fly, because we've had a wholelot of trouble in the airways in the
last couple of months. I'll getinto that too, because I want to
(36:38):
know where is Mayor peaked the TransportationSecretary. So there may be flying cars,
flying taxis coming by the end ofthe year, but I don't know
if they're going to be here. They're probably going to be in Saudi Arabia,
and I'm not going there to seeit. I'll watch it on YouTube,
so we'll see. But big newson air travel in this country just
(37:00):
around the corner, and more onwhat's happening in DC. It's Opelka in
for Barkland Superstation nine ten am.Mm hmm. That's right. We're here
and welcome to Thursday, Yes seveno six on a Thursday morning. It's
(37:23):
Mike Opelka in for Justin Barclay anduh, I want to have some fun
today, but I also have somany important stories to share with you.
In an hour from now, WendyStrouke Mahoney is joining us from a great
news outlet called UNCOVERDC dot Com.You're gonna want to be here for that.
(37:47):
You are going to want to hearwhat Wendy Strouke Mahoney has uncovered.
It is beyond infuriating and it relates. It's to a population that is kind
of forgotten about because a lot ofus figure, ah, those people,
they don't deserve anything. We'll getto that, but we also have things
(38:09):
we have to talk about today.I'm attempting to get someone in here from
the group known as Project twenty twentyfive. The Left has nothing on which
to run. Joe Biden's brain ismelting in front of us. You've got
the abdication of support by the Hollywoodelites. George Clooney, we heard that
(38:34):
meathead. Yes, Rob Reiner hasnow also jumped down the Clooney bus.
It's probably a very luxurious bus. It's not like one of those electric buses
that Kamala loves. I love electricschool buses, we know. I just
love, Yes, I know, for so many reasons. Maybe because I
went to school on a school bus. Yeah, but it wasn't electric because
(38:57):
they're not reliable and they catch onfire and they don't always have enough power
in all it. But never mindit. George Clooney's bus is much nicer,
much nicer. So we now gota bunch of folks from Hollywood who
are piling on saying Joe's got togo. And you also have more senators
(39:20):
stepping up and questioning. We didhave a senator from Vermont, the one
who never gets talked about, becauseit's always Bernie Sanders. We hear about
from Vermont. It Bernie because he'sfront and center all the time, and
Bernie gets hold the attention. Buthe's not the old day. Two senators
for every state. That's what thefunding fathers put in there. I know
(39:43):
I was there when they negotiated ita two hundred and forty eight years ago.
But Senator Welch from Vermont, PeterWelch's Democrat from Vermont, became the
first Senate Democrat to publicly call onPresident bind withdrawal from the race. He
wrote an op ed in The WashingtonPost that says, while he has quote
(40:06):
great respect, that's a great respectfor the president, whom he calls one
of the best of his lifetime. It's time for Biden the step aside for
the good of the country. TheSenator Wrights. Senator Welch from Ount Rights,
I, like folks across the countryworried about the November election. The
stakes could not be higher. Wecannot unsee President Biden's disastrous debate performance.
(40:30):
We cannot ignore or dismiss the validquestions raisins that night. I understand why
President Biden wants to run. Hesaved us from Donald Trump wants and he
wants to do it again. Savedus from Donald Trump saved us from Donald
Trump saved us from two dollars twelvecent a gallon gas saved us from three
dollars I'm sorry, three percent mortgagerates. Saved us from unemployment, numbers
(40:55):
that spanned across every demographic saved usfrom world peace, saved us from a
secure border. Yeah, that's whatDonald that Donald Trump brought us all those
evil things. This is more fromthe op ed from Senator Welch, Peter
(41:15):
Welch out of Vermont, who saysBiden needs to reassess whether he is the
best candidate to do so, inmy view, he is not for the
good of the country. I'm callingon President Biden to withdraw from the race.
Now, this is interesting to mebecause that's the first Senator to officially
(41:37):
stand up and say Biden's gotta go, the first sitting senator. We've had
a couple of members of the Housewho are obviously worried about their political futures
because they're all up for reelection.Every member of the House is up,
all four hundred and thirty five ofthem up for reelection. And now the
(41:57):
Daily Wire dot Com has put outa live track or to keep track of
who has publicly come forward, andthey're giving you updates. Like on July
tenth, which was yesterday, DemocratEarl Blumenauer of Oregon say it's time to
go, Peter Welch as we justsaid, Lieutenant governor out of New York,
Antonio Delgado. So Joe Biden canadd to his legacy showing his strength
(42:21):
and grace by ending his campaign andmaking room for a new leader. And
that's this is a daily tracker. They started it on July second. July
second is when it began with LloydDoggett out of Austin, Texas, a
very liberal part of Texas, doggetsaying that Biden's got to go. So
(42:45):
you now have virtually every day sinceJuly second, at least one, sometimes
multiple members of the Democrat Party electedDemocrats saying the Biden campaign has to go.
Here's the problem they have. Theydon't have a replacement. The presumed
(43:07):
replacement, mostly presumed by her,is Kamala Harris. And we know what
the polling says. The polling saysTrump would get seventy percent of the people
who were going to vote if Kamalais the option. That might be a
little high, but you know,I'm just saying, so might she be
a little high? Now, Democratsappear to be changing. A couple of
(43:31):
days ago, you had Chuck Schumer, you had Jim Clyburn, you had
AOC all saying that this thing wasdone, that Biden is staying in and
Biden said he wasn't going anywhere, and Cliburn, Schumer and AOC all saying,
yes, yes, we're riding withBiden Wright Senator right, Congressman Clyburn.
(43:57):
As I've said before, I'm withJoe, I'm with you, I'm
with Joe matters closed, says AOCwho, by the way, filed our
articles of impeachment yesterday against Justice asAlito and Thomas is not going anywhere.
But that's that's the deranged nature ofthe Democrats. But earlier in the week,
that was Cliburn or Schumer in AOCriding with Biden, riding with Biden,
(44:21):
Schumer saying I'm with Joe, I'mwith Joe. Yesterday Jim Cleiburn sounded
a little bit different. If youask me, is his decision final?
I have no idea. You haveto ask him. I don't know.
Uh, you're gonna have to askhim. I have no idea. So
now the guy that was riding withBiden doesn't know if Biden's really made a
(44:45):
decision. We shall see, weshall see. They tried to go with
the statement that Joe was saying, now, I had a terrible night.
It was a terrible one, terriblenight. But now you've got a growing
the list of members of the Houseand Senate who are saying that Joe Biden
has problems, his campaign can't win. You have media members who are questioning
(45:12):
it, even media members over atCNN and MSNBC. You have celebrities,
as we said with George Clooney, big fundraisers like George Clooney and Rob Reiner.
And then there's Michael Douglas who piledon yesterday, Michael Douglas, and
I think Michael Douglas about the sameage as Joe Biden, and he must
(45:32):
be feeling some of the same things. But Michael Douglas, reliable Democrat,
had this to say, A wonderfulguy, and this just happens to be
one of those reselections that is justso crucial. Yeah, and it's really
hard. I don't worry necessarily today or tomorrow, but a year down
the line, I worry. Iam concerned, So I'm not worried today
(45:53):
or tomorrow, but you know,a year down the line, based on
what this guy is doing, wemight have a real problem here. What
are we doing here? Well,if you're worried about a year, how
do you think four years is goingto go? And we had George Stephanopolis
telling a guy walking down the streetthat he didn't think Biden could serve four
(46:15):
years, and then Stephanopolis has hadto kind of retract that statement, saying
I shouldn't have said it. ABCNews has distanced themselves from that statement as
well. After George Klooney came outwith his op ed yesterday, there was
(46:35):
a real panic on the far leftside of the mainstream media. Over at
MSNBC Chris Hayes, whose program Ibelieve is entitled All In with Chris Hayes.
I don't think he's all in onBiden. I'm not sure. Maybe
he's looking for a way out too, but he wants you all to know
(46:58):
that Joe Biden is a decent man. Cloning's observations are not unique. Joe
Biden is a decent man who, like I said, has done nothing wrong.
He hasn't been caught in a scandal. He not yet. Anyway,
he managed to block the investigation intothe incredible allegations from a former staffer named
Tara Reed who had to leave thecountry because she accused Joe Biden of sexually
(47:22):
assaulting her, and then Biden blockedaccess to all the documents she had to
leave the country because of death threats. So that the questions about his son's
money raising for doing nothing and tenpercent to the big guy. That's effectively
been blocked at every turn too.So no scandal yet, just because he's
(47:45):
been able to block is just agingand that reality makes him, I think,
increasingly likely to lose reelection to aRepublican candidate who again it is just
a year younger, because we're goingto be in the same boat a few
years from now we left him.I don't think we're going to be in
(48:07):
the same boat. Just compare uh, Joe Biden three years ago to Donald
Trump. Now, Biden was cognitivelychallenged then Biden was gaffing his butt off
every day then. But this isnot a way to win the argument,
Chris says, is to say, what about Trump and who has done a
(48:30):
lot wrong? Shocking about wrong, and he was promised to do more wrong
if he wins, promised to domore wrong. This is the lie that
the left is perpetuating that Donald Trumpis he promised to be a dictator.
No he didn't on day one,No he didn't. He said he was
going to dictate and be a dictatoron closing the border and opening up our
(48:52):
energy. That's it, and he'sclarified that. But you people, you
don't want to hear the truth. And again there is no conversation about whether
he should drop out because that candidate'sparty is too afraid to ask him to
step aside or do anything against him, because any suggestion from any Republican that
Donald Trump should step aside for thegood to their party or the country,
(49:12):
or face accountability for his many crimesand sins is met with rabid rhetorical attacks,
excommunication, and often death threats.Death threats. Didn't I just talk
about Terry Reed? The woman hadto leave America go move to Russia because
of the death threats because she daredto raise her hand. I thought we
were supposed to believe all women. This is so entertaining to me, and
(49:37):
you might be getting tired of it, but I will not. Oh,
We'll continue on with this. AsI've said, I have a few more
clips to share with you. Somepeople throwing their log on the fire.
But I do want to get tomy question of the day, My question
of a day. Do you careif a presidential or vice presidential candidate has
(50:00):
facial hair? Do you care ifTrump's VP pick might have a beard?
It came up on Brian Kilmead's showwith Mister Trump and he asked Trump about
his VP candidate and about a possiblebearded one on your vice president candidate?
Word is that you will pick jdVance because of his facial hair? Is
(50:22):
that? Is that true? Yeah? Facial hair number two Doug Bergen,
Doug Burgham the thing that purch Lincoln? Right, He's he's a handsome man.
Yeah, it looks like a youngAbraham Lincoln. Jd Vance has facial
Does it matter to you? Beforewe go to break and you can call
(50:43):
in and give us your opinion tofor eight eight hundred talk, I'm going
to do a social media poll onthis as well, two for eight eight
hundred TLK, does it matter?Would you vote for a bearded advice?
I'm voting mostly for the president, but I don't know if beard's gonna keep
me away? Aiden real quickly,do you care if a vice presidential candidate
(51:05):
or even a candidate the president hasa beard? Not at all. Honestly,
it's more cool if they do.It's cooler if they do. You
say, Okay, I mean Ican't even grow facial hair behind. I
mean I can only grow facial hairbelow my neck. And I've got like
a peach fuzz mustache. I gotlike the Mahomes look. So with a
beard, that's a blessing. Wow. Well, I'm if I if I
(51:30):
don't shave them all hair and glasses. So my wife says, no,
you gotta go shave. She's antibeard, my wife. Maybe it's a
man woman thing. But I don'tcare about But maybe the people do.
Maybe you the people do two foureight eight hundred talk. Do you care
if the vice presidential nominee has abeard, has facial hair? Maybe we'll
(51:53):
talk about It's seven twenty one ohPelka in for Barclay on the new Stock
superstation nine ten am. There itis. That's the theme song I want
for mister Trump's campaign. Hold on, I'm coming Hold on I'm Coming It's
(52:13):
Michao Pelka and for Justin Barclay andthe Justin Barclay Show. And I put
it up on twitter X. Iposted a little poll on twitter X.
Do you care if Trump's VP nomineehas facial hair? Yes? No,
don't even care about the question. We'll see, we'll find out. It's
a curious question because when Donald Trumpand Brian kill Me, we're talking about
(52:36):
it. Trump didn't really make itsound like it was a big deal.
But we will see. And thereis the rally that is happening Saturday evening
coverage right here on Superstation nine tenbeginning in the five o'clock hour Saturday.
There may be an announcement. Youmay get an announcement, so that'd be
(52:59):
interesting. Earlier, we talked aboutdriver's licenses and languages and how many languages
you can take the driver's license examin. I know that's horrible grammar ending
a sentence in a preposition forgive me, but you you can take it in
(53:20):
eleven different languages here in Michigan, eleven different languages. And all the signs
are written in one language. Allof the traffic signs are written in one
language. It seems to me likethat. I know people are telling me
that's how you're racious. No I'mnot. I'm a safest I'm somebody wants
(53:42):
to be safe in my life.I don't want people driving a four thousand
pound machine down the highway at sixtymiles an hour having to make a split
second decision and they look up atthe sign and they have to process the
languae which of the sign. It'sjust not a good idea. When are
(54:04):
we going to think about that?Seriously? When are we going to have
an honest discussion with ourselves and saying, you know what, that really doesn't
make any damn sense. We shouldhave people learning English. And if that
makes me a bad guy, sobe it. You want to learn another
language, good for you. Youwant to see other countries and speak to
(54:29):
them in their language, good foryou. But here in America, where
all the road signs are in English, you should have to get a driver's
license by passing a test written inEnglish. You should be able to read
the signs on the road. I'mgoing to get some heat over this one.
(54:51):
I know that I did promise youto talk about the airline incidents lately.
Two days ago, we had thissituation where the front wheel fell off
the plane as it was taxing downthe runway and it was actually taking off.
The plane was taking off and thefront wheel fell off and they were
(55:15):
in the air and you could seethe wheel rolling down the runway. Well,
yesterday and American Airlines jet flying takingoff. It was on the runway,
it wasn't quite in the area. They were zooming down the runway and
(55:35):
they had the tires underneath the wings, you know, the main tires,
not the single tire, not thefront tires, but the tires on either
side blew out while they were gettingready to take off. The pilot managed
to abort the takeoff and all thepeople on board survived. And then we
(56:00):
had the near miss. I guessit was in Syracuse. In the sky's
over Syracuse. If you haven't seenthe video, you're missing out on a
pretty harrowing experience. You had twoplanes, one taking off and one coming
in. It was really close. So it now seems like something's happening almost
every day, right. He hada Boeing seven forty seven, seven fifty
(56:23):
seven loosing the wheels seven thirty sevenaboard to to take off a near miss
in Syracuse. Have you heard fromthe Transportation Secretary? Has anyone heard from
Mayor Pete boot Edge Edge the TransportationSecretary. Air travel is at an all
time high in this country. Wegot more people at the airport. And
(56:46):
I'm not talking about the people theillegals who are sleeping at the airports.
I'm talking about we've got more peopletraveling. It was a record breaking travel
weekend for July fourth Independence date.Travel vacations are now happening everyone where.
Justin's on vacation for guy's sakes,And we haven't heard from the Transportation Secretary.
(57:08):
And I would like to know why. Why doesn't anyone in the media
care besides me? I guess not. It's Michael Pelka in for Justin Barklay
on News Talk Radio News Talk Superstationnine ten am. Yes you do have
(57:28):
me. James James Brown, ofcourse, the late James Brown, the
hardest working man in show business whenhe was still with us. It's Michael
Pelka, the hardest working guy atradio. If you want proof, you
can read the story I just postedon Twitter X, Twitter x, where
you can also find mister Justin Barklay. And you should. But I'm on
(57:51):
there. I also posted a pollearlier today. Just minutes ago, we
were talking about the fact that DonaldTrump is con entering his vice president nominee
probably going to be heard, Ithink before the convention, and maybe Saturday
night is the night is the bigrally is happening, and it'll be carried
here. You'll be able to listento it just after five o'clock. You
(58:14):
need to tune in and listen righthere on the Superstition nine ten am.
But one of the questions was ifit's Vance, if it's JD. Vance,
what about the facial hair? Currently, nobody is bothered by it.
Nobody is bothered by facial hair.Nobody cares. Even though I wrote to
(58:39):
your car about it. I thoughti'd be able to edit it. I
thought Elon Musk said we could editfor an hour. I can't edit the
thing. I screwed up. Havea typo. But do you care if
Trump's VP nominee has facial hair?Nobody says yes, I care. Half
(58:59):
of the p voting say no,and half the people just don't care about
the entire question. But they tookthe time to answer the question. They
just don't care about it. Veryinteresting. We will see. I still
hope it's Byron Donald's that's me.But Byron Donalds has facial hair. I
think regularly he's got that kind ofthat chin strap beard. I'm a guy
(59:23):
when he has a beard. AndI've had many beards in my lifetime.
They're generally big, bushy beards, not quite zzy top beards, but they
were big beards. And Byron,I think, is that neatly trimmed?
Like I said, I call itthe chin strap beard, And I think
I always wonder how they do that. Do you have to have some kind
(59:44):
of a guide to uh, tokeep your your your razor sharp and in
line. It's just a curious thingfor me. I'm just curious. I
mentioned Mayor Pete boot Edge judge andthe Department of Transportation, and we used
(01:00:07):
to see Mayor Pete all the time. He would show up all the time,
and he's been pretty invisible, andI wonder if it has to do
with something that Tucker Carlson's producer saidabout Mayor Pete boot Ed judge. And
I don't care about anyone's private lifeif they're an adult and they work for
(01:00:32):
the government that they represent me.If your private life is just your private
life, and you're not breaking anylaws. I don't care. Doesn't bother
me that Mayor Pete says he's gay. It doesn't bother me that Mayor Pete
and his other half are raising kids. As long as they're not breaking the
(01:00:53):
laws and they're raising the kids ina loving home, I'm okay with that.
I don't care. Once you startbreaking the laws, then I got
problems. But there's now speculation asto whether Mayor Pete is or isn't gay.
Who cares? Who cares? Itjust doesn't matter. What really matters
(01:01:19):
is he doing his job. Andlet's remember Mayor Pete buddhad Judge came out
of a gig when he was themayor of South Bend, Indiana, town
of what one hundred and ten thousandpeople, and he wasn't that good at
it, but they hired him becausehe checked a box. They hired him
(01:01:39):
because they could say, hey, look, our transportation secretary is LGBTQ.
That's what this administration is about. It's not about a meritocracy anymore, which
is what I dream. We getback to the people that are best,
the people that are doing the job. So I'm just hoping. I'm hoping
(01:02:01):
we'll get a president that will focusagain on meritocracy and not on checking boxes
or necessarily on beards, etc.I want to get back to some of
the other stuff that's bugging me today. And we're going to see apparently the
(01:02:23):
Democrats are going to be meeting theelected Democrats are going to be meeting with
the Biden administration, with the WhiteHouse, because the calls are growing louder
and louder for Joe Biden's step aside. And if you were here very early,
you heard me say yesterday, Ithought it would be absolutely beneficial to
(01:02:45):
Democrats to not have Joe Biden's stepaside before the convention for the GOP because
then it becomes the topic. Andsomebody said to me, you don't understand
what's happened here. There's no focuson Donald Trump right now. Trump when
he was in court was getting allthe attention leading up to the debate.
(01:03:07):
Donald Trump was getting all of thepress attention, and now it's all about
Biden, Biden Biden. And I'mwondering is the old adage accurate The only
bad press is your own obituary.I don't know all this attention on Joe
Biden can't be good. It can'tbe really goodwin when you've got people like
(01:03:30):
as I said, Senator Chris Coonscoming out and saying that Joe Biden isn't
getting recognition, he's not getting creditfor all the good public appearances he's doing.
He had a great campaign rally inNorth Carolina right after the debate.
He gave a great speech at themount Airy Church in Philadelphia last Sunday.
(01:03:52):
Both of those speeches were brief, fourteen minutes in North Carolina with a teleprompter
church. I don't know how youcall that great. There was a moment
when the minister told everybody to standup and the music was playing, and
Joe Biden stood, didn't stand, sat frozen for twenty four whole seconds.
(01:04:15):
You can see the video online.I'm not going to play the music for
you on radio because it's radio. You can't see it. But Senator Coons,
you're wrong on this one. He'snot getting the recognition and credit for
how well he is doing out onthe stump. That's because he's not doing
well out on the stump. He'snot It's not good, sir. You
(01:04:36):
need to be honest. I rememberwhen Democrats were going after Donald Trump full
speed, saying that Donald Trump whenhe was president, they wanted Donald Trump
to step aside. They said hewas unfit for office. Never mind the
(01:04:57):
economic success, the piece, thesecure the country, never mind all that
Donald Trump was unfit for office whilethey were still going after him. This
is pre pandemic. This is JohnKerry in twenty eighteen, just a little
bit of John Carey talking about DonaldTrump. Leaders all across the world are
making judgments about our president and ourcountry and all kinds of risks as a
(01:05:21):
result of what they're reading about thispresidency in the United States. This is
dangerous. So if we take thosewords from John Kerrey and apply them to
Joe Biden, I wonder can weI'm just going to go back here and
go back to that, because Ithink this is really interesting. If we
(01:05:42):
take John Carey's own words and applythem to the current president, I wonder
what the answers would be from Democrats. Leaders all across the world are making
judgments about our president and our countryand all kinds of risks as a result
of what they're reading about this presidencyin the United States. This is dangerous.
(01:06:05):
Dangerous. So we had a presidentwho had peace and prosperity to secure
border, and the rest of theworld looked at Donald Trump and through the
eyes of Democrats, they thought thatwas dangerous. That's amazing to me.
(01:06:29):
And in the case of Joe Biden, we've watched the decline. I can
go back to twenty twenty one inAugust, Joe Biden had been in office,
had been in for just about that. He was into his seventh month
in office, and he was tryingto deal with the pandemic, which we
(01:06:50):
all know is a complete scam.We got horns swaggled by Big Pharma on
that one, all of us did. The fauci cover up of what his
involvement was didn't help anybody trying tolead the country. I thought dunk Trump
did as well as he could.I wasn't a fan of the vaccination mandates,
(01:07:14):
wasn't a fan of the lockdowns, wasn't a fan of the spending.
Still not a fan of the spending. We look at the other countries that
didn't have lockdowns and vaccine mandates, and they did much better, and I
hope we learned from them the nexttime something like this happens. God forbid.
But in August of twenty twenty one, Joe Biden, who was in
charge and trying to make his bonesbased on how many people he got vaccinated.
(01:07:42):
But this is three years ago.His brain was broken then pretty badly.
It's a pandemic of the unvaccinated.I know. I've said that constantly
and others have as well, thevacxation of the unvaccinated, you know,
and it's needless, taking a needlesstoll in our country. You know,
(01:08:02):
we have roughly three hundred and fiftymillion people vaccinated the United States and billions
around the world. First of all, there's three hundred and forty million people
in the whole country. So howcould we have three hundred and fifty million
people vaccinated and virtually no one's diedbecause of that vaccination. No one's died
(01:08:26):
because of the vaccination. Really,Bravocierra, It's Bravosierra. Those of you
who've been in the military know whatI'm talking about. You understand. There
is now a nineteen minute and twentyfive second long montage of Joe Biden gaffs
from the past five years. Iwill post a link to it on Twitter
(01:08:54):
X nineteen minutes I started playing thislast night, and my wife, God
bless her, she usually doesn't wantto hear the politics. Usually, she,
like I said yesterday, she's aperson who's a collector of classic fairy
tales. She's a writer by trade. She wrote soap operas for twenty years.
(01:09:15):
She's the smartest person I know. And she started hearing this montage of
things Biden has said over the pastfive years, and she said, oh
my god, how has the medianot responded to that? I said,
honey, they're in the tank. They're part of the team for they're part
(01:09:35):
of the Biden campaign, or theywere until the debate. So I'll give
you just a little sample. Andthis is completely random, but these were
actual clips from Joe Biden on thecampaign trail and in office. Look,
(01:09:57):
here's the deal. Let me saythis simply and clearly. We all these
sure to be self evident. Ohmatter women creatively by go you know this?
You know the thing? Right then? Right then, when he was
campaigning in Texas and he said, you know the thing. Instead of all
(01:10:18):
men and women were created equal andendowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights,
life, liberty, and the pursuitof happiness, the moment, it
was replaced with you know the thingwe should have stopped. But wait,
there's more. You know how wetalk about are we the people folks?
(01:10:39):
We gotta it's just but you gotta, I mean, we gotta reassure.
Look my mind. Message to everybodyI talked to is play the radio,
make sure the television is the excuseme, make sure you have the record
player on at night, the phone, make sure the kids hear words.
(01:10:59):
I got a lot of Harry lags. That turned that, that, that
that, that, that turn about, blonde in the sun. And the
kids used to come up and reachin the pool and rub my leg down
so it was training. Then watchedthe hair come back up again. They
look at it. So I learnedabout roaches. I learned about kids jumping
on my lap, and I've lovedkids jumping on my lap. Right then,
(01:11:24):
right then, should have put fullstop breaks out of the Democrat leadership.
Should have said, no, wemade a mistake, we can't do
this. He was running for president. Then he was at a pool in
Willington, Delaware, where a bazillionyears ago he was a lifeguard, surrounded
by kids, and he told thestory, and I don't even know why.
He said, he learned about kids, and he learned about roaches.
(01:11:46):
What in the wide wide world ofsports did we allow as a nation to
get into the Oval Office? Isaid last I said yesterday that I believe
next week, week after the convention, it was going to be over for
Joe Biden. I'm amending my statement. I think it's going to be over
(01:12:11):
before the close of business tomorrow orbefore the Republican Convention. It's sad state
of affairs for Democrats, but it'sa dangerous state of affairs for America in
our security. The rest of theworld is seeing this. The whole world
is watching. It's seven point fifty. It's Michael Pelka in for Justin Barclay
(01:12:35):
on the Justin Barclay Show. Itis seven fifty five on this Thursday morning.
Michael Pelka with you on Newstock Superstationnine ten am. I made my
prediction just minutes ago, saying Ithink Biden's out before the RNC, and
(01:12:55):
I didn't think that was possible.I really didn't think it was going to
happen. And I got a textmessage from someone who said, why now,
why did you flip? Was it? Clooney was it clooney in Meathead?
Rob Reiner was a clooney in Meathead? And Michael Moore was a clooney
meethead Michael Moore and Michael Douglas. Was that a Hollywood's one thing. Hollywood's
(01:13:20):
a big deal because that's money andmoney drives these parties. Both of them
are so addicted to money to keeptheir machines going. So that's a big
deal. But Democrats still have somebig dollar donors that will write some checks.
But the switch that happened with electedDemocrats is a big stinking deal.
(01:13:46):
Case in point. Watched Nancy Pelosi, or listen to her here, Nancy
Pelosi walking down the halls of Congressyesterday and a reporter from ABC News who's
a black woman, tried to askher a question about Joe Biden running for
re election, and Nancy got antsy, do you believe that him waiting so
(01:14:11):
long to make any comments in thehallway of them? Are you concern whether
or not you win? Do youbelieve he's your run election? I'm not.
I'm i speaking English to you.I'm not going to make any statements
(01:14:33):
about any of that right now inthe hallway. So Pelosi, who had
just been on Morning Joe yesterday sayingit was Joe's decision. Remember we played
that clip for you. But nowPelosi asked in the hall do you believe
Joe Biden should run for re election? Turns to a black female reporter and
(01:14:54):
says, am I speaking English toyou? I'm not going to be making
any statements about that right now inthe hallway. Well, you're not going
to invite us into your office,You're not going to answer any calls.
So the hallways Republic, they aretypically areas where members of Congress do that
(01:15:15):
make those statements. But she wasn'talone Tim Kain, Remember Tim Kane.
Does anyone remember that Tim Kaine wasHillary's running mate? Remember the shirt list
thing he did with playing the guitarand all that. Tim Kain? Yeah,
Tim Kaine had something to say aboutit too. And I think I
(01:15:35):
got time to squeeze in this TimKaine comment about whether or not Joe Biden.
You know what I don't. I'verun the clock out here. So
what I'll do when we come backthird hour, We'll kick it off with
Tim Kain and more proof as towhy I think Biden's out before the RNC
starts. It's Michael Pelka. I'min for Justin Barclay and you're gonna want
(01:15:59):
to be here for the third hour. You're gonna have your jaw will drop
when you hear me talk with WendyStrock Mahoney about the story that she has
broken on UNCOVERDC dot com. It'sOpelka and for Barkley on Superstation nine ten
am. It is the Justin BarclayShow, temporarily commenteered by his friend.
(01:16:26):
That's me Mike o'pelka, Justin onvacation and I am proud, honored,
thrilled to be here sitting in formy friend, and I appreciate all of
you joining us as well. We'redoing news, we're doing commentary, we're
doing a little bit of fun aswell, and you're welcome at any time
to join us at two four eighteight hundred talk or you can find me
(01:16:49):
on Twitter x, on Facebook,on Instagram. I was just posting this
this poll that we kind of setup on fly. We were talking about
Donald Trump's vice presidential pick, whichshould be announced sometime I believe before the
(01:17:10):
convention, maybe Saturday night when thewhen the rally is airing here on the
radio. You can listen right herestarting I think it's five point thirty and
maybe you'll hear the nomination. DonaldTrump will announce who he's nominating. And
the question was from Brian kilmead,do you care about the facial hair?
Is it an issue? The facialIs that a problem? So he posted
(01:17:34):
a little poll just thinking because DonaldTrump kind of said that, you know,
he reminds he jd Vance, whoas facial hair, one of the
leading candidates reportedly as facial hair.Kind of the Trump said he kind of
looks like Abraham Lincoln, a youngAbraham Lincoln. And so far nobody cares
(01:17:55):
about facial hair on the nominee. And half of you say it doesn't bother
me, and then there are morethan half say I don't even care about
these polls. I hate these polls, but I'll leave it up there because
polling is a big stinking deal.I like to introduce you to news sources,
(01:18:16):
and I'm waiting on my friend WendyStrouck Mahoney to get here to talk
about a piece she has an uncoveredDC. But we ended last hour talking
about what appears to be a turningtide against Joe Biden by elected Democrats.
The elected Democrats are going to bethe ones that ultimately decide whether or not
(01:18:38):
Biden will stay or go. AndI know everybody's saying, well, it's
Joe's decision. That's what Nancy saidyesterday. And I think it's starting to
shift a little bit. The DailyWire has a piece that is live tracking
all of the Democrats who have calledfor Joe Biden to step out. I've
posted a link to that as well. I'll put it up again on Twitter
(01:19:00):
and facebooks. You can see it. And the numbers are starting to grow
more and more every day. Therewere more yesterday. Yesterday they had at
least three who stepped up and saidJoe's got to go. And you wonder.
You wonder after today's news conference, the big Boy news conference that we
were told was going to feature morethan two questions because it's after the NATO
(01:19:27):
event. We wonder if this willbe the straw that breaks the camel's back,
or will it change the direction ofthings Because I mentioned that Pelosi got
kind of nasty with an ABC Newsreporter. And imagine if a Speaker of
the House who is a Republican,Imagine if the current Speaker of the House
(01:19:55):
had turned and said to a blackfemale, do you realize I'm speaking English
here? Do you not understand me? It would have been headline news.
Pelosi does it nothing to say, nothing to see. But Tim Kaine,
who was Hillary Clinton's running mate,is often asked what he thinks about things.
He's a senator from Virginia. TimKaine said this when asked about Joe
(01:20:18):
Biden stepping aside. I have completeconfidence that Joe Biden will do the patriotic
thing for the country, and he'sgoing to make that decision. He's never
disappointed me. He's always put patriotismand the country ahead of himself, and
I'm going to respect the decision. That made so interesting That wasn't a firm
(01:20:43):
support for Joe Biden, and itwasn't a statement to say he should step
down. He opens up by saying, I'm completely confident Joe Biden will do
the patriotic thing. Really seriously, listen, I have compleat confidence that Joe
Biden will do the patriotic thing forthe country. So what is the patriotic
(01:21:05):
thing? He doesn't say what thepatriotic thing is, and then he scurries
off before the reporter, which Idon't know if the reporter even asked the
follow up question, which would be, what the hell is the patriotic thing?
I'm sure Joe Biden will do thepatriotic thing for the country. What
a dodge? But nobody asks thequestion. Nobody follows and asks the question.
(01:21:30):
It is infuriating, really infuriating.I just got a text message from
Wendy. She's going to be herejust after eight thirty, so we'll talk
to Wendy stock Mahoney about her pieceon Uncovered DC dot com. Uncovered DC
dot com is an unusual website. It features a journalism, real journalism,
(01:21:54):
and it's also the home of anotherfriend of mine named Tracy Beans, who
does a lot on Supreme Court cases, who covers a lot of stuff out
of the Supreme Court and breaks itdown for us. And we often need
help breaking that stuff down. SoI encourage you if you're looking for journalism,
it's a good place to go whileyou're hanging out with Justin here.
(01:22:15):
I do want to get into anotheroutrageous bit of news. Remember when we
were talking about the money being spentto feed and support the people displaced by
the war between Israel and the Hamasterrorists who attacked Israel on October seventh,
(01:22:39):
and the United States had committed threehundred and twenty million dollars to build a
floating terminal, basically a floating terminalthat would allow for ships to come up
and deliver food and aid to thepeople displaced in Gaza by the fighting.
(01:23:00):
Three hundred and twenty million dollars. We were told this was a miraculous engineering
effort. It was done, Thepeer was built, this huge floating dock
was built, and then about amonth later it suddenly was broken apart by
the rough seas and how do wenot know that was happening, and much
(01:23:20):
of it washed ashore, which wasjust a gigantic embarrassment. Three hundred and
twenty million dollars. Yesterday John Kirbyretired to Admiral John Kirby, the guy
who should have been the Press secretary, but he got passed over because he
didn't check enough di boxes. JohnKirby was on with Wolf Blitzer and the
(01:23:45):
subject of the three hundred and twentymillion dollar peer came up. And you're
not going to believe this right now. The US peer there is said to
be permanently removed. As you know, as the UN says Faminist reading after
at least three more children died ofmalnutrition, Why has the US failed,
at least so far to get morehumanitarian aid desperately needed humanitarian aid, food,
(01:24:11):
water, medicine into Gaza. Beforehe answers, I want to let
you know that as CNN is askingthis question and they're claiming the UN has
reported three children in Gaza died ofmalnutrition in May and June. Three children
in Gaza, according to the UN, died in May and June, and
(01:24:35):
they put their names up there,Fayez Attaya, six month old, Ahmad
Abu Ryda, nine year old,and thirteen year old al Seri. So
these are three children that the UNand CNN are highlighting died of malnutrition in
(01:24:56):
the course of sixty days. Howmany children do you think died of alnutrition
in the state of Michigan in thatsame time period. I'd like to know.
Last weekend in Chicago there were morethan one hundred people shot, and
I think it was double digits inthose who died over the Independence Day weekend.
(01:25:18):
But CNN is more focused on thefact that three children in a war
zone granted a war zone with Israeltrying to defeat the terrorists who attacked them
brutally on October seventh. But there'sno discussion of Chicago. There's no discussion
of Michigan. There's no discussion ofNew York or Philadelphia or any of the
(01:25:41):
situations here which are many times worsein terms of fatalities. But what do
you think John Kirby is saying aboutthis, this three hundred and twenty million
dollar taxpayer expenditure. Well, again, with respect Wolf, I think I
would speak the premise there that wehaven't failed. I mean, the United
States has been leading the world andtrying to get humanitarian assistance into Gaza,
(01:26:04):
and we've been trying all different waysto do it. In fact, we
want to get caught trying, andin this case, we tried the peer,
the temporary peer. We said fromthe beginning that that wasn't exactly what
this peer was designed to do overa long period of time, and that
it would be a hard, complicatedtask. It proved to be that it's
also very susceptible to the weather. We spent three hundred and twenty million dollars
(01:26:27):
to build something that didn't last acouple of months, three hundred and twenty
million dollars of your money was spentto build something we knew wasn't going to
work. This is one of thereasons why I believe America has to stand
up and say we're not We're notgiving you guys another chance. We're not
renewing your contract for another four years. You guys have to go. This
(01:26:55):
is one of the reasons, andI just hope the American people are waking
up to it. What has happenedhas been done by this administration on so
many levels. It deserves the term, and it's a great term. This
is a great term. The Greekscame up with this word. It's called
cacistocracy. Are you aware of whata cacistocracy is? I'm sure, Aidan.
(01:27:15):
It's a word you throw around atthe dinner table at home all the
time. Aiden you know what acacistocracy is not at all? Okay,
you're gonna want to write this onedown. You'll you'll impress your friends and
family. You might even be abetter Jeopardy player if you If you can
use this in common conversation every day. A cacistocracy is a government by the
worst possible individuals, cackistography, cacistocracy. It's a Greek term government by the
(01:27:43):
worst possible people. And you know, sorry, I don't think we have
a worst possible group of people thanwe currently have right now running this country.
No, you're spot on, Andyou know it's funny you mentioned that,
because I have heard that we're thrownaround because my grandmother tunes into a
lot of stuff like this. She'sa big time listener too, the Sean
(01:28:08):
Handy program because she lives in Floridawith my grandfather, and whenever I'm at
the dinner table with her, wheneverwe come to visit them or they come
to visit us, she'll always usethat word and I never know what it
means. And I really, yeah, she's very well educated in this,
and I give her all the praisefor it because and that's the one thing
(01:28:28):
about her too. I call herall the time, and no one in
the family really wants to talk politicswith her but me, because I'm like,
I agree with the things you're saying, so I'll be talking with her.
And she's very educated in what shebelieves and has applaud her for it.
And that's why they moved to Floridatoo, Well, it is.
(01:28:51):
It is a state where there area lot of conservatives. But I think
we're seeing a lot of people herein Michigan waking up too. I think
we're gettings that are showing that wehave an influx of smart conservatives and that
makes my heart very warm, andI'm one of them. Good good for
you. It's nice to hear thatsome of the youngsters are joining the conservative
(01:29:15):
Well, it's all about individual responsibility. And as I mentioned libertarianism earlier,
it's a giant freedom, teeny tinygovernment. And for everybody who said,
well, what really is libertarianism, the two principles explained by my friend Matt
Kibbi, who said, here's howyou explain what a libertarian is. Here's
(01:29:35):
how you know. Don't hurt peopleand don't take their stuff. That's it.
Don't hurt people and don't take theirstuff. Those are easy libertarian principles
to understand. All right, I'mtaking a break when we come back.
Yesterday there was an epic hearing inthe House and it featured Ben Shapiro,
(01:30:00):
a guy who talks so fast itmakes my brain hurt. But he absolutely
destroyed a Democrat who needed destroying.Who's trying to do a gotcha question and
answer with him. We'll get intothat. Just around the corner, it's
Michael Pelka in for Justin Berkley onnew Stock Superstation nine ten am. It
(01:30:20):
is eight twenty three on a Thursdaymorning. Michael o'pelka, my name in
for Justin this week, Justin. It turns on Monday. Glenn beckabe here
just about thirty five minutes. Yeah, we're headed to Becktown after this program
is over. And just around thecorner, my friend Wendy Straus Mahoney is
(01:30:41):
going to join us from Uncovered DCbecause there is a scandal around the transgender
madness in this country that nobody's talkingabout, and it is really affecting women.
And I'm not talking about athletic Thisis a safety issue, a critical
(01:31:03):
safety issue in a place that shouldbe very safe. We'll get into that.
Just around the corner. I teasedthe interview yesterday the testimony of Ben
Shapiro who showed up at a househearing, and it was supposed to be
about censorship. But the Democrats whofollow in the teachings of Saul Olenski always
(01:31:30):
want to take the advantage to usethe situation and get their agenda push forward.
And the left is trying to paintany conservative, and especially Donald Trump,
with this brush about Project twenty twentyfive, which is a document that's
out describing a plan for America that'sput forth by a very conservative group of
(01:31:57):
people tied to the Heritage Foundation,a great group of people. But it's
not something that Donald Trump has comeout and said he endorses. In fact,
he's kind of said the opposite.Yesterday, Ben Shapiro in the hearing
was being questioned by Eric Swalwell, the guy you remember Fang Fang. He
was Fang Fang's boyfriend, and thenwhen it was found out that Fank Feng
(01:32:20):
was a Chinese spy, she leftthe country and nothing was ever said about
it because Democrats were in control. But we won't forget. But Swallwell was
trying to go somewhere with Shapiro, and he underestimated Ben Shapiro would help us
understand on just like a scale ofzero to one hundred percent, how much
(01:32:43):
do you support Project twenty twenty five. I think, like President Trump,
I haven't looked on that deeply atProject twenty twenty five, but it seems
that Democrats on this committee sort oflike Peter Pannon Tinkerbell. If they say
Project twenty twenty five enough, theirpresidential candidate becomes alive again. And so
I'm sorry, that's a knockout punchjust at the first swing. That was
(01:33:05):
the first question. And if i'mEric Swallwell, I'm just giving my time
back to the chairman. But we'llcome back. I'll give it to another
person. But it got worse forSwallwell, Well, let's just talk about
(01:33:26):
pieces of it, and I guessyou can tell me if you support it.
You probably want less bureaucracy, right, I do? I want Okay,
I gotta get a little more intothis. This is Swallwell quizzing Ben
Shapiro on some of the elements inProject twenty twenty five. You probably want
less less bureaucracy, right, yeah, you probably want less bureaucracy. Right
(01:33:47):
I do. I want less bureocracy. You want more efficiency? I do?
I want les more efficiency. Youwant taxpayer money spent wisely? I
do. Congrats, I'm becoming aRepublican. My parents would be prop mass
deportations, a coulst for that.Do you support that part? I support
the deportation of any legal immigrant who'sin the United States who is not of
(01:34:09):
benefit to the generalized American public. Now, I just want you to think
about what Ben Shapiro just said atsuch a high rate of speed, his
rate of utterance is absolutely it's sofast it's hard to came up with.
He didn't know that question was coming. He had no idea that was the
question. But he's asked about massdeportations, which Donald Trump has talked about.
(01:34:30):
We've got twelve, thirteen, fourteenmillion illegals here under Joe Biden,
because because Biden opened the borders andit's necessary to get control of our country
again, and so the mass deportationthing, let's hear that answer again.
Do you support mass deportations? Cultsfor that, do you support that part?
(01:34:55):
I support the deportation of any legalimmigrant who's in the United States who
is not of benefit to the generalizedAmerican public. And I can get immediately
behind that statement one hundred percent.I support the mass deportation, of the
deportation of anyone who's in this countryillegally who is not supporting the positive direction
of this country, somebody who's adrag on the system. If they're picking
(01:35:18):
agriculture that puts food on the tablesof everyday Americans. They've never committed a
crime inside the United States, theydidn't come across with documents. Should they
be deported if they have not paidtaxes and if they're draw on the taxpayer
benefits are larger than the contribution theyare making to the economy, or if
they're involving in criminal activity, theyshould be deported. How do Bingo absolutely
(01:35:42):
correct? You should watch this entirefive minutes from Ben Shapiro. It is
a masterclass in how to deal withDemocrats, especially California Democrats. And again,
this guy has no idea the questionsthat are come at him. And
Swalwell tried to get him on hisgay marriage a sin, his homosexuality a
(01:36:09):
sin, and he realizes he's askinga Jewish man about sin. It's a
very interesting conversation and at the endthe Chairman Republican tell Swalwell the first rule
of holes, when you're in one, stop digging, all right, just
around the corner. My friend Wendystock Mahoney joins us Opelka in for Barclay
(01:36:30):
on superstition nine ten am. Itis eight thirty five on a Thursday,
and Michael Pelka, that's me.I'm sitting in for Justin Barclay this week.
He will return on Monday to coverall of the stuff happening at the
RNC. And I was just checkingout some of the headlines full oat and
(01:36:51):
around and some of the various sitesand sources that are covering the news media,
and there is an attempt to causestrife within the GOP. The GOP
is more united now than I canremember in a long time, and that's
(01:37:15):
interesting because it's uniting against Joe Bidenand with Donald Trump, and a lot
of the left likes to think thatthe GOP is not united behind Donald Trump,
but it is now very united. And so many of the outlets are
(01:37:35):
trying to post stories that are goingto so discontent and trouble. For example,
there is a story about a womanwho is scheduled to speak at the
RNC and she apparently has one ofthose only fans accounts which people associate with
(01:37:57):
porn and white. The guy behindthe UFC is also going to speak ahead
of Donald Trump at the RNC,but the focus on this only fans porn
creator as she's been called on someoutlets has a lot of people saying,
really, if you're worried about that, this is a woman named Amber Rose
(01:38:21):
who said she's going to speak atthe RNC. You know, conventions have
a lot of different people speaking, but it's when you speak that really shows
how powerful you are. And wedon't know when Amber Rose's schedules to speak
in Milwaukee, but just the factthat she's going to be there has some
people raising eyebrows. And I offera little bit of advice to all the
(01:38:45):
people who are disturbed about miss Rosemaybe speaking. I don't even know when
she could be speaking. Do wewant to go into the background of certain
political candidates, female candidates and maybehow they got to where they are in
(01:39:08):
their party? We certainly could lookat Kamala Harris's background and raise some questions
about her relationship with Willie Brown inCalifornia. I'm just saying, if you
open the door, Democrats, we'regoing to rush in and we're going to
go right to that topic. Sobe careful what you're delivering. You might
(01:39:34):
deliver to us a hammer that canbe used to hammer nails into your own
coffin. Just saying turn about isfair play. So we will see.
Oh, I see the phones areringing here. Good good, good good.
Uncovered DC dot com. UNCOVEREDDC dotcom. It's a website I go
(01:39:56):
to all the time. It isa journalism site, and they cover stories
a lot of people don't cover. They do deep dives on Supreme Court decisions.
They also explain stuff better than manyother mainstream media sites. And one
of the people who works there writesgreat columns is Wendy Strock mahoney. And
she's focused on a story that Ithink is getting not nearly enough attention.
(01:40:21):
It's a story on the treatment ofwomen in prison and how the prison system
is allowing men who are pretending tobe women to be housed with actual women
and it's turning into a horror situation, a horror show for these real women
(01:40:43):
who are incarcerated because they're now beingmolested, raped, etc. By men
pretending to be women. And itis a scandal, scandal story out of
Virginia, a prison facility in Virginia. Wendy Strock Mahonius joining us right now.
Wendy, thanks for being here.Happy to be here, and I
appreciate your inviting me, and notthat it matters. It is West Virginia
(01:41:08):
where I was born at Hazelton, and and honestly, it doesn't really matter
because apparently transgender individuals are in alltwenty seven women's facilities across our great nation.
I knew that there were transgendered individualsin prison, but I didn't realize
there were so many. I thinkover fourteen hundred. The funny thing is
(01:41:30):
I did reach out, as theysay, I did email the Opposite of
Public Affairs there in Washington, DC. And you know the DOJ runs this
programmed, so we all know howwell that will go. But I emailed
them and they were actually very graciousin their responses. They were very thoughtful
as a bureaucracy can be, andI did give them some extra time to
(01:41:54):
respond. But one of the interestingthings I noted is I really painstakingly went
through all the Freer reports, whichwas complete torture, and because the documents
are not organized and they're not uniformin nature, and so you're searching through
documents for data and everything. Butin any case, I did it,
and I asked them, I said, you know, knowing the answer,
(01:42:15):
I asked them, you know, how many of these people do you have
in your women's facilities, and theysaid, well, they're in about ten
of our facilities. Well that's nottrue. I mean, if the preer
reports are to be believed, they'rein all twenty seven and twenty one of
which are co ed, and acouple of facilities Tucson and one other have
as many as one hundred and twentyseven one hundred and twenty eight respectively.
(01:42:40):
And the instances of sexual abuse wasquite high in one of the women's only
facilities. But you know, prisonis not a country club. We were
not expecting to be treated nicely inprison. I have a pile of letters
here and many that I did notinclude, And there are any other complaints
(01:43:00):
in these letters about food and youknow, the conditions and mattress and all,
you know, opening them, openingmail, and a low security facility.
But what really jumped out at mewas the fact that you've got transgender
biological men in these facilities, allwith their genitalia or all but one reportedly
(01:43:23):
with their genitalia intact in this HazeltonPenitentiary down there in West Virginia, and
some of them have records of rape, raping children, child porn and you
know what could possibly go wrong? It may be that some of these people,
with the backgrounds that they have,do not want to go to a
(01:43:45):
male only prison because you know,at least TV shows will tell you what
men do to people who rape childrenin prison, and some of it might
be that. In any case, whether it's that or not, you know,
these are reports of men, biologicalmen pretending to be women or wanting
(01:44:08):
to be women, sexually abusing, sexually harassing, you know, doing loot
acts in front of women and insome cases sharing the same cell. Because
you know, as you know, you know, whenever you're in this category
of DEI people, trans or whetheryou're a person's color or maybe you're a
(01:44:30):
woman or whatever, you've always gotto have that extra layer of advocacy on
your side. And so they havetheir own executive council, and you know,
that adds to the harm of thewhole thing, because here these women
are some have cancer, they're notgetting their medications or they're not getting the
right broads, and the transgender individualsare getting binding materials and getting their stipulations
(01:44:56):
met her you know, their advocacycounsel. And so there's a lot of
insult being added to injury with this, and quite frankly, it's criminal what's
going on. And I don't knowwhere the feminists and the Title nine and
the liberal advocates went because the scriptis completely flipped at this point. You
(01:45:19):
know, now they're advocating for thesepeople to be in prisons with biological women
where they're pretty much held hostage andliving in fear. And then when they
report these incidents, they're not beingseparated as they should be, you know,
pre a standard state that you shouldbe. And the answers from the
(01:45:40):
BOP certainly said, oh, becauseI asked them, I said, what
happens when the victim is of reportingme things? Oh, you know,
they separate them. They make sureeverybody's safe. I don't think what's going
on in practice is happening. Youknow, what's going on on paper is
happening in practice. Yeah, that'sthe bottom line. The disturbing part of
(01:46:03):
all of this is that it's sowidespread and the numbers are so out of
whack with what's going on even inthe normal out of prison society, and
that you can tell the average personwithout a law degree. I don't have
a law degree. I watch judgeJudy every day for twenty years so I
(01:46:23):
kind of got the judge Judy schoolof law, which is common sense,
and in this case, you understandthat something isn't right here. If men,
biological men want to avoid having atough life in prison, they can
automatically get access to a female housingfacility, whether it's a co ed prison
(01:46:45):
encampment or a women only prison facility, just by saying they are transgender.
They believe they are a woman. Is there no standard? I mean,
even in the Olympics, even inathletic competitions, now we're seeing you have
to be on steroids, you haveto have this many years of counseling,
et cetera, of presenting your lifeas is. That doesn't exist in the
(01:47:08):
prison system. I think they thinkthey've got standards, and I think that
they plan to have standards. Theproblem is, I don't think they're following
the standards. And here's the thingthat really killed me as I thought about
it. I'm going through these reportsand there's always this section. In a
couple of cases, there are severalsections where it says, you know,
(01:47:30):
did they meet the standards or feedthem or did they fall below the line?
Not a single report, not one, not one found the standards to
be subsufficient insufficient. That statistically impossible. It really is, it's impossible.
(01:47:51):
I don't know what standards. Whatdoes that mean? Does that mean?
Does that mean that the prea auditorcame in there, asked the right question,
that people gave the right answers, and therefore the standards were met.
What does it mean when someone's rapedin a facility, did they still have
(01:48:14):
an exceeded standards rating or a metthe standards rating? And because every single
facility had people reporting sexual abuse, and on top of it, I think
there was only one facility where someonewas prosecuted. That's amazing to me.
I know there is a the onlywomen's only prison in the state of New
(01:48:38):
Jersey. There's one facility in NewJersey that's that is specifically designated for women
only, and that prison had aman who actually impregnated at least one of
the female inmates in there, andthey finally moved the guy out. I
know this is focused. Your pieceon Uncovered DC is focused on this facility
(01:49:00):
in West Virginia, but it isa canary in the coal mine all across
the country. How does this change, Wendy, I got about a minute
left. How does this problem getfixed? Well, number one, people
got to be aware of it,and I think we've got to register some
(01:49:20):
complaints with the Bureau of Prisons. The families should do that, you know,
that's one way to kind of getsome attention. And Congress needs to.
I mean, there is a Senatereport from twenty twenty two that included
in this where they looked at fourprisons, but it clearly has escalated the
conditions in prisons having transgender individuals beingintroduced into these populations. Yeah, it's
(01:49:45):
got to be done from the familyaspect, with the families raising questions locally.
It's got to be done on acongressional level so that the House and
the Senate can raise some kind ofactivity on this, either to ban this
or set standard for God's sakes, and the standards should be the protection of
the general population, not in favorof just these outliers, these individuals who
(01:50:10):
claim that they are something that manyof us believe they are not. It's
maddening to me, Wendy, andit's not right and it's not okay.
And I'm glad that you and UNCOVEREDDCdot com are covering it. Wendy strauck
Mahony, thank you. I encouragepeople follow Wendy. She's got great stuff
going on, not just online, but also on social media. Wendy,
(01:50:30):
don't be a stranger. Thanks forinviting me, appreciate you, And there
she goes. It's a fascinating andinfuriating story, especially when you realize there
are prisons in every state in thiscountry, and there are tens of thousands
of women at risk. Now,women only make up a tiny fraction of
(01:50:54):
the incarcerated population, a tiny fraction, like less than ten percent. But
does that mean they shouldn't be affordedthe protections while they are inside serving their
sentences. Does that mean we shouldturn these animals loose inside because they just
(01:51:15):
tell us their transgender I think thisis a massive liability. It's a huge
scandal. I wish one of themainstream media outlets would jump on it.
Wendy certainly done a lot of goodwork there. All right, it is
ten minutes before Glenn Beck time.Michael Pelke here stepping aside. When we
come back, we will wrap uptoday's program and give you a hint as
(01:51:35):
to what's in store for Friday aswe celebrate the end of the week.
It's Opelka in for Barklay on Superstationnine ten am. Wow, it is
eight fifty five. We are almostout of here today. Michael o'pelka.
That's me in for Justin Barclay,Parkland Beck, Glenn Beck in next there.
(01:51:56):
There was a time when I followedGlenn Beck on his own radio network
back in the day. Kind offeel like I'm back in the day.
It's Michael Pelka's I said, I'llbe in tomorrow. We are going to
mark the end of the week tomorrow. We celebrate Fridays, we say Friday
Loujah to you, and we willwe'll go over the news of the day
(01:52:18):
tomorrow as well, because we havethis press conference that's going to happen and
it may be the deciding factor inJoe Biden's political future, maybe his presidential
future. And with all of thediscussion about Project twenty twenty five, mostly
(01:52:40):
Democrats trying to paint it, tattooit unto Donald Trump, We're going to
break down twenty twenty five, Projecttwenty twenty five tomorrow. What is it?
What about it is so offensive toliberals? What about it makes them
so crazy when they hear Project twentytwenty five. They want to use the
(01:53:00):
word fascist I'm looking at. Oneof the promises in Project twenty twenty five
is to restore the family as thecenterpiece of American life and protect our children.
What a horrible thing to want tohave happened. It also means there
are only two genders, and that'sgoing to freak him out. Project twenty
(01:53:23):
twenty five also wants to dismantle theadministrative states and return self governance to the
American people. You know who thatsounds like if you say that to the
left, this sass. Sounds likea typical Republican. That sounds like the
late John F. Kennedy, ifyou've been a student of history, the
(01:53:44):
guy who wanted you to have controlof your money. They wouldn't let Kennedy
in the Democrat Party these days becausehe wouldn't be woke enough for them.
So we'll get into that. We'llget into whatever happens today at the Prescott,
We'll get into how many. We'lldo an update on the numbers of
elected Democrats who have decided to jumpoff the good ship at Biden and maybe
(01:54:11):
punch some holes into the side ofit as well. We see of Schumer
and Pelosi make formal declarations. That'sthe kiss of death. That means it's
really over. So we'll do allof that. We celebrate Friday. The
consumer price index numbers just came outat the bottom of this hour at eight
thirty, and inflation went down tothree percent. It's still higher than it
(01:54:32):
was when Donald Trump was in office, but it's it's ticking down now.
Part of that is because gas priceswent down, and gas prices went down
because we dumped a bunch of ourstrategic reserves, both oil and refined gasoline
into the market, so we forcedthe price of gas down, not letting
(01:54:57):
the free market do it. There'sa big difference, and it just means
it delays the ultimate increase down theroad unless we get our energy policy turned
around. Subject for another day,but we'll meet again tomorrow. Right here
in the meantime, going back inthe wings until Friday, and we get
together at six am. It's Opelkareminding you Testudo, my friends, Testudo
