Tonight our very special guest is Philippe Suzor-Morin chatting with us all the way from Toronto. It doesn't take long to realize Philippe is a highly motivated runner that is constantly finding more and more ways to run plus more distances to overcome. Philippe tells us about how he was breaking ankles as a teenager and because of this, he had to find other ways to keep active, such as running. Training on his treadmill for his first half marathon in 2003 may be a bit unusual for most but not for Philippe. In 2015 Philippe decided that it was time to sign up for his first marathon but he knew changes had to be made. Philippe had gained weight and knew that he had to make small incremental changes to get back into shape and finish that first marathon. Now Philippe has many marathons under his belt but new challenges were calling. First up was a 50km ultra run then a 100Km and next a 100 mile run in September 2021, amazing! Training for the 100-mile run for Philippe is very intriguing, listen to how he did it. A run streak, why not? In 2019 that's exactly what Philippe did, he started a run streak and an accident happened to end that streak. No problem because now Philippe is giving back to his community and helping others and Achilles International Canada is just one of those ways, link below. Another packed episode with tons covered that you won't want to miss.
