Speaker 1 (00:09):
Hey me, tell me, tom Me, tell me, tell me
tom Me. Time again, it's not the motivation you motivation
you Hi, How you doing? How you been? It is me?
It is I. You're beeter Marathon, are in this? By God,
my gosh, his motivation? You? Hi? How you doing? Hi?
I have been this week, this week, this week. I
don't have a guest speaker. I don't have a quote.
I have a story. I have a very personal story
that I hope will illuminate and motivate and inspire you.

(00:33):
You see, the hardest part of following a dream, the
hardest part of following us something, of trying to become more,
of trying to do something great, is that first brave step,
that first big step, that unsure step, that big step

(00:56):
forward you need to make bravely. My daughter, she's only nineteen.
She got a job offer a couple of states away.
We're gonna have to move her. She's leaving in two weeks.
She's only nineteen. I give her tons of credit for,

(01:17):
at age nineteen, taking that big first step towards something
she believes in so much that she is willing to
move to a state so many states away from family,
from friends, so many states away where she knows no one,
so many states away, where she has no support, but

(01:41):
the belief in herself and the goal she's about to
try and achieve. That's a big step. That's a really
big step. And like all of us, that big first
step is always the hardest, and you need to believe
in yourself so much to take that first step. So,

(02:05):
whatever your goal is, whatever your dream is, whatever you're
trying to achieve, that first step, I know it's gonna
be hard. I know it's scary, but you need to
be brave enough to make it so you can achieve,
make it, take that first step. Believe in that thing
so much, believe in yourself so much that the next

(02:27):
step is so much easier. Guys, thanks once you joining
again this week. I'm the beard of marathoner. This is
motivation you todd. Y'all real soon

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
