US citizens and are being warned about kidnappings happening in Perto,
Varta and Uebo. Eight have been kidnapped up in meeting
individuals on dating apps. The US Consulate General advises caution
when using day apps dating apps in Mexico and to
meet only in public places. The State Department's Travel Advisory

noted the kidnappings occurred in the port of the Vata

the victims reportedly met their alleged captures through online dating apps.
The victims are then lured to meet kidnapped in Hell
for ransom. The US Department's Travel Advisory for Mexico classifies Jalisco,

Travelers are advised to take extra precautions of meeting strangers
