Carlo Dossi (1849-1910) è stato uno scrittore, poeta e diplomatico italiano. È nato a Bergamo, in Italia, e ha trascorso gran parte della sua vita a Milano. È noto per le sue opere nel movimento Decadent, popolare in Europa tra la fine del XIX e l'inizio del XX secolo. Le opere letterarie di Dossi hanno spesso esplorato temi di amore, bellezza e sensualità. La sua poesia e la sua prosa erano caratterizzate dal loro linguaggio lussureggiante e ornato e dalla loro esplorazione degli aspetti più oscuri delle emozioni umane. Tra le sue opere più famose ricordiamo il romanzo "Pellegrino Artusi" e le raccolte di poesie "Poesie", "Dolori e Gioie" e "Liriche". Oltre alla sua carriera letteraria, Dossi fu anche un importante diplomatico. Ha servito come console italiano ad Alessandria, in Egitto, e in molte altre città in tutta Europa. Nonostante il successo in campo diplomatico, però, la vera passione di Dossi restava la scrittura. Ha continuato a scrivere in modo prolifico per tutta la vita e le sue opere continuano ad essere lette e apprezzate oggi.
