Speaker 1 (00:15):
And welcome back to ard on Source radio show.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
My neighbor's not happy with me there. Hello, welcome back everybody.
Very important. I want to share with you the opinion
fact sometimes there is no right and wrong. You know
what I see and hear, You may or may not
what you feel I may or may not. It doesn't
require calling the white coats or name calling. We may disagree,
(00:40):
but we have to respect. And that's the same as communication.
You know, the mature communication factor is communication meaning you speak,
I listen, I speak, you listen, and then we have feedback.
We communicate to what we said. We can disagree totally,
(01:01):
but we can respect each other's opinion as far as
we'll continue with the show. As far as the Bermuda Triangle,
Paddy and I disagree, I think that there's something there.
I can't tell you what it is, but I think
it's not supernatural. I think whatever it is, it maybe
magnetti forces, maybe have a big suction cup under water.
(01:23):
I don't know, but huge ships, formations of planes have
disappeared where they go underground, bunkers come on. So I
can't tell you I know, but a lot of it.
Look at the things that we think exist in out
of space. We want to put people on the moon.
We don't really know what's up there, Dewey Paddy.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Well, we know quite a bit, and so folks know
if you enjoy a good paranormal well researched paranormal story.
There is a fantastic YouTube channel called Wartime Stories that
(02:08):
is Wartime Stories, not to be confused with the War
Stories channel. The Wartime Stories is Luke Lamanna, who is
a Marine Corps reconnaissance veteran. Ballin Studios produces that his shows,
(02:29):
and he does very well. Researched paranormal stories related primarily
to the military, not just the US military, but militaries
throughout the world. And one of the things that is
very striking to a lot of these stories is sometimes
(02:51):
enemy combatants reported seeing the same thing, having very similar
experience is in the same places. There is a cryptid,
or possibly a cryptid in Vietnam, something we would analogize
(03:13):
to the Bigfoot, although much smaller than we normally envision
the Bigfoot, but a human like ape creature. Don't ask
me to pronounce its name because I will get it wrong.
But anyhow, American soldiers reported seeing this cryptid, so did
(03:35):
Vietnamese soldiers, so much so that after the Vietnam War,
a Vietnamese general dispatched search parties to try to find
this cryptid so wartime stories on YouTube. Luke Lehmanna fantastic
(03:57):
if you enjoy good paranormal stories related to the military.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
And if you remember Patty and Cindy several months ago,
maybe a half a year ago, whatever, we did an
absolutely wonderful book review by a thank you. I believe
it was in New Mexico where a federal officer in
different various federal positions reported experiences that the government recorded
(04:28):
but denied as if they ever occurred. You remember that book.
It was a terrific book. Those are the kind of
things the movies, good movies could be made out of.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
But we should speaking yeah, speaking of good movies, Close
Encounters of the third kind that takes us to Mouse
from Air Force Face. On a March morning in nineteen
sixty seven, security and maintenance personnel at Mouse from Air
Force BACE reported seeing an unidentified aerial phenomena better known
(05:04):
at the time as a UFO. The base was home
to Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile, so anything flying over it
was a worry more worrying was according to Robert Fallis,
who was an officer at Maelstrom and is the primary
(05:28):
source for this story, quote a UFO was reported directly
above one of the e flight launch facilities for silos,
so an alarm sounded and then suddenly all ten missiles
quote reported a no go condition. According to Sallus, Fallus,
(05:53):
who publicized the Moustrom story in the nineteen nineties, has
co written paranormal nonfiction books such as Faded Giant. His
recounting of the events is highly detailed and includes potentially
corroborating information, such as a Great Balls Montana newspaper running
(06:16):
stories about residents seeing UAP about a month before the
Malstrom incident. He's spoken to the National Press Club, among others,
adding to his credibility. The Air Force, according to Sallas,
locked the Malstrom incident in the tightest of drums and
(06:40):
not even sharing information about it with the famous Project
Blue Book that investigated UAP sightings from nineteen fifty two
to nineteen sixty nine, and Maelstrom has been the site
of other alleged a UAP sightings too, including in nineteen
six seventy five and as I said, many people believe
(07:04):
that was the inspiration for Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Remind refreshment memory about that movie. What was that about?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
You're not remembering now? You know it was? It was
about people people having experiences with UAP and then spontaneously
all going to the same location where they discovered that
the military had set up a facility in order to
contact the aliens.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
In the movie, what about the alleged spaceship that crash landed?
Was it New Mexico. What's the name of that, Well,
New Mexico. There you go, and that became a TV
or movie.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
And the people in Roswell have fully embraced the entire
affair and turned themselves into a tourist town of.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
UFO everything that's like Metropolis in the southern portion of
the state of Illinois. You go there and thought, Superman.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
I you know, and I do enjoy it when towns,
you know, take what could be noted riots, yeah, and
turn it into turn it into tourist fun. I do
enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I think we do too. The problem is sometimes people
take it very seriously and mentally and physically could end
up suffering some side effects. So you do all of
us do have to pay attention with respect bottom line,
and so we don't scare the hell out of somebody unnecessarily.
But you're talking about the Nike. By the way, how
(09:03):
many of you out there remember what I remember in Illinois?
I used to know. I was in Chicago and Cook
County and so on, but north of us was the
Great Lakes, and from the Great Lakes you had Nike facilities.
And I remember it's like in the Hyde Park area southside.
They were right by the Lake Michigan. You would see
(09:25):
the silos or sometimes they would have rehearsals and you
would see the cones of the Nike missiles because they
every so often they would make sure everything's working, meaning
they're exercising, meaning they're raising and lowering. So I remember
in my teenager years in nineteen sixties growing up seeing
(09:47):
these things. From what I understand, I think that throughout
the entire country you had them, especially around the coastal areas,
you know, the northeast, northwest, south east, southwest, so on.
Do we have those in Florida? By the way, do
you know Patty or Cindy? That's a question.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, I'm I am not sure. I do know Florida
has been a bit of a paranormal hot spot throughout
its history.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Are you calling us Floridian's nuts?
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Don't you dere.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Are just paranormal.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
I hope you're enjoying everybody. We're kind of chilling out
with you about you know, just from last night's Halloween
and maybe today's by product or follow up. But on
the other hand, sometimes don't poo poo something somebody's thinking
something then may be there may not be, but they
believe it is, so respect them for it unless you
(10:45):
can prove, you know, guilty innocent type of thing. So
sometimes we just have to add a little difference, uh,
humor or education to the our veteran's voice, and uh,
you just never know. You never know. There's sometimes good
explanations to things that we do not understand, and sometimes
(11:08):
there are no explanations for things we don't understand. But anyway, Patty,
we're going to take a short break and we'll come back.
Have you got any other stories for us?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
You know, I do have one short story, no, Harry
dot Com.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
I'll be right back, everybody. Thanks for being with us.
I hope you're enjoying us. We'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
I am here, So I'm so. I mentioned that military
dot com uh did are an article?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
The title of the article is nine Spooky Military ghost
Stories as told by service members and veterans. One of
the contributions was by an Air Force veteran I identified
only as Doug. The name of his story was the
(14:15):
Helpful Crew Chief And I'm just going to read it
as Doug wrote it. Quote. I was a crew member
aboard a C five based at Dover Air Force Base.
A crew chief died on the plane in an accident
about ten years before. Different things on the plane kept
(14:40):
breaking without being operated or touched. I was outside chatting
with the guard and heard over his ratio that a
new tire was on the way out to the Sea five.
We were the only at the time our flight engineers
(15:05):
and mechanics didn't know we had a flat tire. Five
minutes later, a new tire arrived and we quickly found
our flat tire. To this day, we have no idea
who requested the tire or why I heard the call
(15:27):
on the security channel when it should have been broadcast
on the maintenance channel.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
What do you take of it?
Speaker 6 (15:42):
You know?
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Sorry, I have a bit of choking going on here.
It's today's show, you know. My I've had paranormal experiences,
as have pretty much everybody. I am of the opinion
that we need not be afraid of what we identify
(16:06):
as the paranormal, That it exists well within the natural
laws of the universe, and ninety five percent of what's
out there in the so called paranormal realm is probably
quite harmless and pretty much friendly, so we do not
(16:29):
need to fear it. That is my take on the paranormal.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Okay, speaking of paranormal, I'll probably get shot for this.
Welcome snow birds. Well, welcome.
Speaker 7 (16:45):
We're noticing traffic considerably changing the six months, have it
and on behalf of Vero Beach and Indian River County.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
And welcome. We still love you. We love you when
you're here. We hope you love us. We do have
significant weather uh improvements and uh. The objective for you
is to enjoy life. Now, speaking of enjoying life, I
want to share something with you. What do you think
(17:20):
is the most Patty, Cindy, And I think you and
I talked about this, Cindy, what do you think is
the most important part of the of your car or
truck that without that the vehicle will not operate the driver.
I didn't expect that. The battery.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Oh, the battery. I was thinking the engine, Okay.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
The computers, the transmission, the engine Erican nothing will work
without of working a living battery. So now I want
to share that in another way. We our bodies have
a battery. It's called the heart, of course, but there's
(18:00):
something very important in our body system that we need
and I think I am deficient in it and I'm
working to improve it, called hydration. Do you feel I'm
not a doctor. This is not medical advice. This is
practical reality advice from me to you. Do you take
the time to absorb to drink enough liquid? No, I'm
(18:24):
not talking about alcohol, and I'm not talking about milkshakes.
I'm talking about plain old water. What kind of water.
Let's not get into that. The human body needs a
significant amount of liquid to remain hydrated. We don't function
(18:45):
well if we're not hydrated. How many times have any
of you been in the hospital and you see an
IV All it is is hydration. It's not going to
be water, obviously, But the point is the body needed dehydration,
the liquid, and when we don't do it knowingly, it
may be forcibly injected to us if we're in a
(19:08):
medical emergency. So try, if you can make an effort,
drink a glass of water, whether it's six ounces eight out.
I'm not going to tell you to drink a quarter
an hour. But supposedly in scientific research, we're supposed to
consume half our body weight in water a day. The hell,
how are you going to drink all that? But if
(19:30):
you can drink a glass of water every hour, me,
I do it on the hour, every hour. I try
to always have liquid with me. It maybe I see
I'm sweet, maybe decaffeinated, but mainly water. I try to
absorb some liquid and maybe it will remove some of
your sluggishness. What you notice, you're just not functioning at
(19:52):
the energy level that you're comfortable with. So try that.
It certainly is not going to hurt. The only thing's
going to be you're going to have to relieve yourself
a little bit more often. But that's okay, because we
need to flush our system. Sometimes we may have something
in a system that by drinking the liquids for one reason,
it helps us relieve another problem with another reason or function.
(20:17):
Patty Sindy any comments.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
At this time of year, people are not sweating as
much normal, and so they don't think they need water
as much. Like during the summer, you know that you
need water, Yes, But I happen to experience a methical
condition called primary hyperhydrosis, meaning I sweat. I sweat a lot,
(20:45):
and doctors have told me in no uncertain terms that
it puts me at risk for rapid dehydration. Obviously, but
people often think I'm not really sweating that much. Well, one,
you're probably sweating more than you realize, but two, you
(21:06):
also exhale a lot of water vapor.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
I didn't know that. That's just a point. S. I'm
originally from Israel and i've been in Arizona, New Mexico.
So on, you don't realize that you're sweating. And the
next thing is you may have heatstroke or dehydration and
you weren't aware of it. And it's not something you
(21:30):
did or didn't do. It's just you didn't think about, Hey,
I'm not sweating. So wherever you're at, try to remember
to stay focused on the word hydration. Drink of love,
liquids and even if you're suckon on ice cube, anything
that you can bring some liquid hydration into your body.
(21:51):
Your body's a machine. And remember we're here only on
the short term lease, and only one person knows how
long that lease is. So while we got the time
and the leases in force, let's take care of ourselves
and our loved ones. At this point, what I want
to do is I also want to remind you two things.
One that in addition to the gallery the Highway and
(22:15):
Art Gallery at eighteen seventy two Commerce Avenue, we have
a sub gallery at the Waterfall Restaurant at twenty two
to twenty seven fourteenth Avenue, and that's right across from
the Heritage Center. And by the way, my wife's birthday
was a couple of weeks ago and they have a
private room. We had eight seventeen people in the private room,
(22:37):
all set up joshfer Lynn's birthday, balloons, centerpieces, appetizers. It
was absolutely marvelous. The staff did a terrific job. So again,
Waterfall Restaurant right across the street from the Heritage Center
on fourteenth Avenue, and we want to thank the Highway
and Art Gallery at eighteen seventy two Commerce Avenue. Thank
(23:02):
you our dear friend, doctor Leonard Burke, Navy first Responder.
