Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, and welcome to Relics Radio. I'm Ken DK from
Adventures in Dirt to some of you guys know me
from Welcome. Welcome to another episode here of Relics Radio
where we're going to talk metal detecting, relic hunting, metal detectors,
treasure hunting. Boy, we're gonna talk about water diving, all
kinds of stuff when you join us here on relicx Radio.
Every week Wednesday nights, and you can always catch the
(00:22):
audio versions going back eight years over on spreaker dot com.
Just search for relicx Radio podcast and you'll find eight
years of these type of shows. I want to bring
in my co host, you guys know them Stir fifty
two eighty adventures. Hey, hey, it's time for the show. Man, cheers,
(00:46):
put down the drink, It's time for the show. Geez.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
So you had mentioned every Wednesday night. This week we're
on Thursday night, but normally we're on Wednesday nights, so right,
you can catch us on Wednesday nights.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
That's it. Yeah, tonight's Thursday. See it's getting too confusing, man.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I know right, we're jumping back and forth. That's all right. Hey,
I want to I want to do something completely different here.
Ken doesn't even know we're doing this, So I'm putting
Ken down in the green room. We're gonna do something different.
We're gonna start the show over. Let's start out right now.
Welcome to Relex Radio. My name is Tony from fifty
to eighty Adventures. Thanks for joining us tonight. We've got
an incredible guest. But first let me bring on my
(01:24):
co host. Here we go, there's Ken Flicks.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Oh my gosh, when am I going to be able
to live that down? And tons of people are just
joining us for the first time, and like, okay, now,
enough of these jokes.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
It's an inside Joe.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
But I've got the hat, so it must know.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
That's why I did it. You got the hat on there,
so big shout out to Nick's custom laser engravings. He's
in the chat as a thin Blue Diggers. He made
the hat for Ken. There.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Uh yeah, you guys would take a inside joke and
send me a hat.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Right exactly, Nick. So what have you been up to? Man? Uh?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Who have been? You know, same ole thing right, working
a lot, trying to detect where I can. We haven't
gotten out too much. I did go out last Saturday,
and actually filmed for our Metal Detecting Club, did some
filming for them. They want to produce a film about
digging proper holes, learning how to probe dig, learning how
(02:29):
to slit dig, learning how to you know, cut proper
plugs in city parks and people's homes and you know,
anywhere else that you're going to be uh detecting and
retrieving targets where it's it's very sensitive.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
You know.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Last thing we want as a community is to you know,
spoil it for everyone else. There's already jurisdictions, especially in Colorado,
that are out lawing metal detecting because people are going
there and digging holes and leaving them open or destroying
the grass.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
And so I went out leaving the plugs open. I mean,
it's just that's ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, there's ways to do it without having to do
all that, and that's the film they want to produce.
And so I was out filming that with him last Saturday,
and I finished about an hour early, so I got
an hour to go out and dig some stuff. Didn't
really find much but coil on the ground. That was
That was some good time. Yeah, it looked like it
was a pretty good day. For you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I'm anxious to see how the video turns out. And
you know, again, if we can educate you know, new
people or even seasoned detectorists, you know, how to be
less destructive for the hobby, you know, hopefully we can
still continue to do what we love out in those
public areas. So I appreciate the time that you put
in as well as Ureka Treasure Hunter's Club, you know,
kind of essentially donating their time to put this all together.
(03:45):
So appreciated a ton.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah how about you? What have you been up here?
Would you do this weekend? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:50):
You were, Yeah, I was. I was supposed to get
out with you and do some filming of that video,
but had the family over, got to see all the
Green kids and just a great time with the family.
Just needed some family time. You know. This weekend we've
got Mother's Day coming up, so again I think I'm
going to be with family and everything. But after that,
(04:11):
that's it. It's you and me every weekend metal tucting,
doing a whole bunch of stuff.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Dude, I didn't tell you this weekend I've got permission
on an eighteen fifty military site.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Totally, I'll be there.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
That's how it goes, right, You're like, no, I got something,
what squirrel? Squirrel?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Just I just tell my wife, you know, hey, I'm
just going to go for half a day. Well you know,
technically that's twelve hours, but you know she's she's already
onto that one there.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Stephan in the chat says, I hope you don't end
up like us. In Sweden, you're legally allowed to own
a detector, but you can't turn it on without a
permit from the state cost one hundred bucks per location. Geez, yeah, wow,
you know who knows if that's the way it gets. Man,
That's why it's so important for all of us to
remember we represent all of us. I had them shoot
(05:02):
something in the film and they and I asked, my god,
do you guys think this is corny? Because the whole
club showed up almost but only a few select people
were filming. So I wanted to get the whole club involved.
So I lined them all up in a group and
I had them say, it's not about you, it's about
us as a group, you know what I mean, And
figured we kind of finished with that, you know, but
it is, it really is all kind of about it
(05:24):
we're all representing each other out there.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah. Yeah. Now, normally at this point in the show,
we usually talk about everybody in the chat and it
looks like we'd rocking today. I know, we want to
get over to our guests, but we got a couple
more things we want to talk about, you know, speaking
of Eureka Treasure Hunders Club Ken, what's coming up here
pretty soon for us out here in Colorado.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, real quick. You've seen these metal teching events that
go on across the country, across the world. Really, you
got the tech of all over in England and you
know all the different events going on over there. Well,
we have our own right here in Colorado coming up
May thirty, thirty, first and June first, three days Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday. It's a seated hunt here in Colorado. We've
been doing it. Eureka Erika has been around since nineteen
(06:06):
seventy three. This is their twenty five. This is their
twenty fifth national open hunt. So it's called Rush to
the Rockies Rendezvous twenty twenty five. You come on out
to beautiful Kiowa, Colorado and join all of us out
here and the people that come in from across the
States to join us to do three days of metal
detecting and good camaraderie. It's a lot of fun. We
(06:28):
have kids hunt. We're gonna have three hunts on Saturday,
two hunts on Sunday, and a free kids hunt. And
we actually have Mine Labs showing up with us this
year bringing their Masters of Metal competition to the hunt.
And what that is real quick is you get together
a team of three people, you come out, you register
online over at mind Lab, you come on out, and
(06:49):
you compete in four different events and you will compete
against the other teams, and at the end there will
be a tallly of all these scores and first place
gets how much, Tony.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Twenty five hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Fifty dollars per team to register twenty dollars for first place?
How about second place?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Fifteen hundred? How about that third place? How about a thousand?
Speaker 1 (07:12):
There you go, so even third place one thousand bucks
for absolutely, And it's a lot of fun, just gonna
put your metal detecting skills through the ringer. Monny and
I have a team together. Of course we're gonna win,
right Tony.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Absolutely, I've already already have the money spent prize money spent.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So hey, here's how you find this. Go ahead and
go to Eureka THC dot org, Eureka Treasure Hunters Club
dot org, Eureka THC dot org, or just search Rush
to the Rockies on any search engine and you'll find
your way over to register for our hunt. And you
can find out more information by going to mind Lab
about the Masters of Metal competition. They have gone on
(07:51):
cool AESO. I think that's it for housekeeping.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Well, I mean, I would love to talk about mind
Lab Metal Sectors all night. I have no problem with that.
But I think we're going to actually get to our guests.
Let's bring in Meryl.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Where's that mute button? Somebody give me the hey?
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Hey hey, al right, Relics Radio. Everybody welcome the US
Ambassador to XP Metal Attectors, Merrill from Metal NYC.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Hey, guys, always good to be back. Oh come on, oh,
come on, how are you Meryl?
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Good to see you again, man.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm good. It's good to be out and about and
back on the show. You guys have been so kind.
You know, you've had me a bunch of times as
a guest here. Always always happy to do that when
you asked. Although I totally listen, people, the Thursday thing
is my fault. There's still like one part of me
(08:48):
that is like teenage and it's like calendars. Anything with calendars.
Oh my god. So these gentlemen were so gracious and
they moved the show back one day. So it'd be
very thankful.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Friday if if you would have said you could do
it on Friday.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I mean, we're glad to give up your time to come. Absolutely,
any any of our guests, you know what I mean,
like they're taking time away from their family, from their
regular life. I mean, we're all just a bunch of
metal detectives, right, but we're doing this podcast and trying
to get entertainment and information out to people within our community.
But we all still take time away from our family
to come do this stuff.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
So I mean, you loved me, but they tell me
they need a break from me sometimes, you know, Oh good.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Yeah, yeah, so hey, if you've been busy and the
other's this talk of yeah, this this new piece of
kit coming out, and boy, it just seems like things
explode when stuff like that comes out.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
I'm excited. I don't quite know how to say this,
but I'm going to say it anyway, I think that
something like this, it's very similar to like if it
was somebody else, that would be like releasing a detector.
But I like what XP brings in that it keeps
expanding what the platform and like now, you know, if
(10:09):
you think about it, there are detectors out there that
claim to have a gold mode, But what do you
really need to find? You know, nuggets or forget nuggets,
you know, small pieces of gold, tiny pieces of gold.
You know, every professional gold detector runs in the high
(10:30):
frequencies and you know now legitimately with the new HF
coil that's fast multi frequency that's coming out, like this
is a legit gold detector. It's not, you know, a
play gold detector. It is a legit gold detector. It
is a very capable machine, and it's it's yet another
(10:53):
expansion of the day is too. So you know when
XP puts out a metal detector or platform, like in
your wildest dreams, you can't picture like the entire scope
of what's going on. Well, I'm really proud of is
the uh we have the the GPS go terrain like
(11:16):
that was added to the DAIS one also and DAIS
one is out close to fifteen years, so it keeps.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
An amazing app. That is amazing app. I use it
all the time. That is so amazing. Hey, let me
ask you this, MARYL. There may be people listening to us,
are watching us that maybe don't know about XP metal detectors,
and they they don't see what the excitement is about
a new coil coming out. You know a lot of
times coils are part of the package. They're not always
(11:49):
sort of the main part of the package, you know
what I mean. So XB does run a little differently
than most machines. You want to explain it. Why that is?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Yeah, well, it's now the detector that runs uh, the
widest frequencies that that's out there. And you know, I
think that that's important because multi frequency, for sure, fast
multi frequency has a utility to that. And this is
just it's adding a new dimension. And what you know,
(12:20):
the high frequency will get you is small targets. It'll
give you some advantages in iron, it'll give you I
call it the Higgs Boson signal. How many times have
we found pendants without the chains? At least if you're
a beach detectorist, I love my beach detecting and so
many times I will find the pendant and I'm like, Okay,
(12:42):
the chain's got to be nearby. But it's just the
the eddy currents. You know that it's a really challenging signal,
and what gets that it's it's the higher frequencies. So
you know, this is something. And that was the first
thing that I tested it on. I'm like, I had
(13:03):
this chain that I found mud larking and it's gonna
be in a new video and you know, like no
detector could hit it. The HF coil hit.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Oh nice, Yes, you've been playing with this thing.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Oh yeah, yeah, it's been listen. You know, usually at
this point of the year, you know, May eighth today,
I usually have about forty videos out. It's been a
year where I've definitely needed to, you know, be with
my family. You know, there's been some stuff that has
been going on, and you know, I thank everybody for
(13:37):
the patients. But the one thing that has like really
you know, going out in the yard, testing going out
a little bit to the beach. You know, I've been
doing that. Sometimes it's nice to just like not bring
the camera, but yeah, you know, for sure, you know
there's gonna be you know a video that I'm working
on it right now that documents the utility of this.
(14:01):
And you just got to think of xp. You never
know what you're going to get next. Like the Extreme Hunter,
that's something that literally, I mean, if you're talking about
like targets the size of a car, it'll go down
sixteen feet. Have fun digging that, Okay. It's there's something
spiritual about it. And you know it in terms of
(14:24):
like being able to go underwater. You could go sixty
six feet underwater and you know this coil also, you
know it's twenty meters. You know you could dive with it.
And it's all about utility. It's all about ergonomics. It
fits in a backpack. It's like a super athlete. You know,
(14:45):
it gets the deep signals. It's a lead and iron.
I'm really proud of it. It's biggest honor of my life.
Perhaps that Wow.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, The Big Killer Hurts is just amazing. I know that.
When I first started getting in the metal to before
I got to metal, my first metal detector, I was
a gold prospector and here in Colorado there's a lot
of gold here, you know, in the rivers. Yeah, and
I wanted a gold bug too, Like even today that
is still one of the top machines for nugget shooting
and finding gold in some of these dry bank areas
(15:18):
and stead it's a gold bug too. And that goes
up to I think like seventy killer hurts, you know
what I mean. And that's what you need, these high
killer hurts for these very very small targets, especially like
you said, gold nuggets and even flowers, some of the
flower gold. But you know this, this coil going up
to is as high as ninety on multi frequency and
one hundred and twenty on mono. That crazy, That is crazy,
(15:41):
Like that's a gold hunter's dream, right.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I was even looking at all the other detectors that
are designed for gold, you know, all the other gold
seeking detectors, not the PI machines, but the VLF machines,
and there's nothing that comes close that I've seen. There's
nothing to come.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
I'm very proud. I mean, when I went to France,
that was a very much a life changing trip. You
could see the pride. You could see like how much
Alan and you know the rest of the XP team
wants to hit it out of the park. You know,
that's a passionate detectorist. Who I think of him like
(16:20):
Tony Stark. You know, he's the he's the game changer.
He comes up with the technology that changes the game.
And you know a lot of talent. Everybody I met
was like an engineer and incredible people, you know, who
cared very everybody detects in that company. It's a passion yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Definitely kind of you know, like leading, leading the group
and the community and technology. I mean you coming up
with you know the way it can acts even you know,
the brains are in the coil. Nobody else does that
right now. I mean he always pushing that envelope and
on the edge there and knocked out of the park
with this one as well.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
I've I was always curious about the why to that,
like why and it makes a lot of sense, you
know now that I've heard the answer to that one.
There's no way that anybody could match the ergonomics because
the wire's weigh something. You know, if you're talking about
copper wire, you know, running up and down the detector,
you know that's going to weigh something. And you take
(17:25):
that out of the equation, you make it a very
fast radio link, and you know that makes it that
much lighter. But it's also an efficiency thing. And I'm
not an engineer. I can't tell you the perfect answer
as to why. But having everything so close there is
an advantage to that. And just you know, like you said,
(17:46):
brains in the coil fast radio link with like you know,
zero latency zerot difference. You know, it processes so fast.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
It's amazing. I really thought when I first picked up
the first got the dais too, I was thinking, Wow,
I wonder if there's gonna be any lag, you know,
like any lag? Yeah, And I have been so pleasantly
surprised between switching headphones, between changing between the big remote
and the WS six Master, to turning on my pin pointer,
(18:19):
to turning off my pin pointer, Like there hasn't been
a hiccup for me, you know what I mean? Sometimes
sometimes I'll turn the pin pointer off and go to
put it in my pouch and it'll go off. But
that's my fault. I didn't hit the button, you know
what I mean. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't hold
the button for that point zero zero zero two seconds
to put it back in my pouch. But it has
just been flawless.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Fly.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
I was hearing the the pinpointer in Yes, like advantage too, Yeah, agreed, agreed.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Hey, we had a we had some questions and I'm
you know, if you guys are listening to us live
here in a live chat, keep throwing your questions in
the live chat I'm starring. Then we're going to try
to get it to as many of your questions. And
we've got a whole dock of questions as well. So
real quick, you know you had said you started using
the coil? How many Stefan wants to know how many
hours have you been using this thing, because you're you're
(19:10):
one of the first ones to have gotten this coil.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Yeah, I'd say about forty so far.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Not bad.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
It's been a busy year, yeah for sure. But you
know I've done my part, maybe a little bit more
than forty. I'd say forty to sixty all sorts of
email chains, you know, going back and forth testing is
very important to XP and you know feedback is very
important also. Yeah, so you know I did my part
(19:37):
with that, and you know, used it in different settings.
We don't have really a gold bearing area in New York.
That's the one I'm dying to, you know, go to
and you know, and test it out. But in terms
of finding small stuff, the beach, you know, certainly erodes
things off. I used to be excited when I found
(20:00):
and like the backs of ear rings and stuff like
it goes small. There's all you can control it too,
Like you could set the max frequency.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
I wanted to ask you that if you can.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah, that was a big question.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yep, yeah, because if you wanted to set it to
a max frequency of twenty four killers, it would turn
into an amazing sniper coil, yes, without hearing all the
smallest smallest, smallest mineralization and depending on your dirt and
your conditions. Man, that's cool. Yep, wow, that's really cool.
That was one of my main questions. Just yeah, okay, okay,
(20:35):
thanks MARYL. Now I'm going to buy one because I
love that the small sniper coils. I love the small
shape coils and they're just great for sniping and around stuff.
I use it all the time. Back when I use
my T two, I use the small little puck And
like you know, everyone always asks like why would you
use a small little sniper coil like that? Until you
use one, you just don't know. Once you know, you
(20:58):
know new York.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Yeah, I just like I just got the M nine
for the manicore, same idea. I was going between the
eight or the nine. I wanted to go to the small,
smaller coil for for just you know that that that reason,
you know, to be able to pick through stuff.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Yeah, yeah, it gives you a different look. And you know,
just getting in between. Like New York that's so crucial
because we've you know, everybody like barbecues in the park
and even if you throw out your bottle caps, this
is just bad New York design perhaps, But our garbage
(21:33):
cans they have like this, like it's almost like a
beach scoop, you know how they have like the holes
in it and this stuff. The bottle caps just fall through,
so you drag it and you get like this.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Trail of bottle swath caps.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
But you know, I'll tell you this, like some of
our parks, you know, it's still you know, it's saved
our parks from getting hunted out too early, like you
really have to work for it, but you could still
get good old stuff in New York parks because of
that same I certainly don't want it, but you know
(22:13):
it iron Iron is kind of like the villain and
the superhero of metal detecting because it extends our fun.
It's a challenge, you know, mitigating it. It's affects you know,
how it affects the eddy currents, and you know it
also extends our fun because you know it masks.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yeah, generally, you know, you can go out on a
field and if you're not in an iron patch, almost
any detectors is going to be able to find a
quarter out in a soccer field, you know, with no
issues and things like that. You know, and you get
a lot of questions people that have been detecting for
quite a long time, like how did you how did
you you know, how did you find that those incredible relics,
(22:59):
those buttons and the coin or the silver coins or whatever.
And you're like, well, you really got to get on
these sites and pick through the stuff. And that just
has to do with time with your machine, but also
the technology that allows you to pick through that stuff
as well.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Yes, yep, Tony'll tell you. I got a new program
I called the X ray program Yeah on the DASS
and I got a video coming out about it. But
it's I was on one of the most in my
entire career of metal detecting. If you want to call
it that most iron infested site I've ever heard in
my life. I mean, it was really going good. Yeah,
(23:37):
like it was just ridiculous. And I put it on
this program and it was like, you know, still have
you still hear the iron a little bit? But the
volume was down on it and when a good target,
it just jumped out and bitch you. And I was like,
oh my gosh, you know what I mean, Cause I
tried general program and it was good, but because of
the way the volumes are set up, you know, it
was kind of just too much and it was kind
(23:58):
of hard to pick those out middle on some of
the other stuff, and it was bleeding over a lot
of the iron, the heavy iron. So yeah, this new program,
it just it was amazing. Everything I stopped to dig
turned out to be something, you know what I mean,
a buckle awesome, a hinge or a you know, garter
belt clip or something like that, you know what I mean.
It interesting.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
I appreciate the filters that are there, and you know,
there's a whole bunch of different iron filters you know,
that are on the day as too, you know, for
various settings. And you know it's it definitely has a
learning curve, and I think it scares people. But if
you think about it, when you reach the point of
(24:40):
maturity as a metal detectorist, you want something to grow into.
This is the machine to grow into. I would say
you have eighty five to ninety percent of the capacity
of it just by sticking to the programs. And I'm
an excel guy. A lot of this stuff has been
like if you go through the programs and compare it
(25:01):
to the functions that are there, you'll have most of it.
And sure you could tweak it a little bit, but
I would say eighty five to ninety percent just by
using the programs. But you become really dangerous when you
get that last ten percent.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah, agreed, Yeah, and I agree. Like the standard programs
to me was all I was using. I was using
in general and uh, you know, and what else was
I using? I was, Oh my god, the Goldfield program,
Like I don't use it that often, but that's unbelievable.
(25:39):
The Goldfield program and the Relic program Standard on the
on the day is too like try and miss something,
try and miss anything, like it's just gonna grab it,
you know. So I was bearing targets at different depths,
at different sizes, real small targets, trying to hit it
and stuff, and the Goldfield program was just like blowing
me away, like just it wouldn't quit. You know, you
(26:01):
can't always hunt with that program, you know. I mean
it's the programs for certain soil conditions and stuff. But uh, yeah,
the I Conductor one is really good program for me.
But I like the ability to you know, a lot
of people just put it on multi frequency and that's
what they do, a multi frequency program. I like the
ability to isolate certain frequency. Like like we were hunting,
(26:22):
like Tony and I were talking about before we started,
we were hunting an old school site and we hit it.
We hit it to death, and we just covered it,
covered it, and we invited our friend Jeff Lubert, and
we had just cleaned it out. We find our friend
Jeff Lubert from American Digger magazine out with us, and
he came out with his dais due and we're digging, digging, digging,
(26:43):
and he all of a sudden he started finding things. Yeah,
a lot of things, small things, and I was like,
we've been all over that man. Tony and I both
have been all over that, and he goes, I got
mine have forty killers. Man, he goes, I'm gonna find
things you guys missed just because it's gonna and he was.
I couldn't believe how he renewed that site, obviously removed
(27:06):
that site. It was noticeable, you know what I mean.
And so I had to put mine on forty killers
and then it was Yeah, it was a different, different look.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Let me give some of the spoiler alert. It lit
up my yard. Now think about this. I was the
guy that tested metal detectors before. This is my yard. Okay,
maybe my kids filled something in the yard. I don't
think so, though. And the stuff that I was finding
was a little bit older. Nothing was a coin, No,
(27:35):
that's not true. One coin. But there were some things
that I that were just it's like, okay, this was there,
Like how is that possible?
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Right? How did I miss it?
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Yeah, there's a lot of iron in my yard, old
chicken coop. I mean, I'll say this too, like when
I would bury coins, I would sometimes lose the coin
for a while. And this is like with all detectors
because there was so much iron there and that, you know,
that really taught me about the masking effects of iron.
(28:07):
But I thought I thoroughly picked through you know, my
front yard, in my backyard. Nope, th stuff coming out
high frequency gives you a different look, I think in
terms of expectations, and like XP wants people to know
this too. This is something that's like Mariano Rivera. You know,
(28:27):
it's like your ace reliever, and you might not use
it as a starter, but you use it as a finisher,
and it gives you a different look. You'll find different things,
that's for sure. And in certain settings, like for instance,
the coins on the side, like this thing lights it
up like you wouldn't believe, like it is possible to
(28:49):
get a coin on the side. We've all found coins
that are on the side with like you know, questionable
signals like this one will be clear as day. You
know iron sites. You bring this to iron sights, you'll
be like, how did I miss this? You know, and
lots of surprises there.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
I'll tell you I did some tests. I had a
my eighteen fifty three one dollar gold coin, smallest US
coin ever minted, right twelve millimeters, smaller than a US trime,
very small thin coin. I had it at nine inches
right nine inches on edge in a little my little
(29:33):
plastic coin container on edge nine inches down and forty
kill Hertz hit it. The gold the Gold Goldfield program
hit it, and a lot of others were kind of
struggling at that depth and at that size and at
that thinness, that deep down, you know what I mean.
And so this machine being able to go up to
ninety two or one hundred and twenty on mono, that's
(29:56):
just ridiculous. Man. Yeah, you're gonna you're gonna catch coins
on some no problem, no problem.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
The thing I want to chain because that's like the
for me as a beach detectorist. You know, I hunt parks,
I hunt land to of course, but like that is
the like you know they're out there. But that's the
one thing. I'm not talking about big chains. I'm talking
about thin chains. Those are the ones that are so
(30:26):
elusive at the beach. And yeah, I'm not talking about
like getting it super deep. It's not meant to be
a deep coil. You know, we'll yeah we're talking five
six inches beyond a little bit, but you know, depending
upon the conditions, salt helps it for sure. But it
(30:48):
was nailing that tiny chain.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
I had chains, chains, are so hard to find unless
they're right up top, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Yeah, I see value in that in the wet of
the beach, you know, in the dry of the beach
where there's aluminum and this it's not a perfect match
in the wet of the beach. I was like, Oh,
I have a new toy, and it gives you that
different look that you know nothing else gives you, Like,
(31:19):
this is totally unique. It's it's a legit gold detector.
Certain settings, like you know, going to those iron sights,
you know, finding coins on edge, you know, goldfield for instance,
like a legit finding you know, tiny flakes of gold.
(31:39):
It opens up possibilities with that. It gives you a
different look, and it gives you a lot of utility
with that different look. Lots of uses.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Yeah, hey, Tony, we got a question. You want to
get to that one. Yeah, we're gonna ask you.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
We got a bunch of questions coming in, so we're
going to start to do that. David Frazer said, well,
you need an update to update the D two in
order to use this HF two coil from XP.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Yes, there's an x there's a update that's there right now.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Oh the updates question. But would you advise people doing
the update now before the coil is available or would
you kind of wait until they In other words, is
the update right now usable for other things rather than
the new HF two coil.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
Oh that's a good question. I think it was just
for the coil. They did say that to me. I'm
blanking on that one right there. I think if you're
comfortable with what you got right now, I think, yeah,
perhaps wait until you have it in your hands and
then update.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah, great question, gotcha?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah yeah, how about well let's get to it. Let's
get to this. Can it be used with the DAIS
one or is it only a Day two platform?
Speaker 3 (33:01):
The DAIS one has a high frequency coil? So yeah,
this one is just for the Days two.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Okay, so they are are ax used to or maybe
has a HF coil right elliptical h Will this interchange
with that at all? You switch them out? Or does
it upgrade that one?
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Or no?
Speaker 3 (33:25):
Just the Days one and the r X. This one
is just for the days too. And this is it's
it's not only high frequency, it's f m F fast
multi frequency. Also, got cha?
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Very cool? So when can we have it? When can
we have it?
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Put it? When can we get one in our hands?
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Geez, I know the spot give us a scuo facility.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
And I've seen a lot of hardworking people, you know,
at the factory in France.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
That's not answer. Give us a date.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I know this doesn't help the people that are watching.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
You know.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
I've got mine in my hands, and I know, I
know I love it.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
The rest of you who cares.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
No, I didn't mean it like that what I was
gonna say, And this is something that I value about XP.
They value relationships, like long term relationships, you know, with
their vendors. And it's a slow process to produce these.
I mean, they can start turning it over like pretty fast,
(34:37):
but you know, the rollout might be slow at first
before it's fast. If I were to take a guess,
and I'm just gonna preface this, nobody at XP told
me this. I'm just trying to, you know, take an
educated guest, knowing what I know. Summertime, I think it's
it's gonna start slow, and I think it's gonna roll
(34:58):
from there.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Okay, Well that's good, that's good. Look forward to We're
not too far away from that right now.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
No, yeah, not bad at all.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Is there anything been released yet on price US Europe?
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yeah, four hundred. Hopefully tariffs you know like that that
can affect the price. But as of right now, I
saw it for sale four hundred pre orders four hundred
right now, I believe so yep, yeah, okay, all right,
I lied. It's three ninety nine.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Oh there see there you go, Merril. That sounds a
lot better than four hundred.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Yes, yeah, a lot better.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah. Gary Totona said that some dealers are taking pre
orders now. Don't know when though, but so if you
can find them out there, any distributors or so that
are taking orders pre orders and you want to get
on it, even get on it. Yeah. I wonder how
like tariffs would affect all that. I know that they
put out a statement not too long ago about about
tariffs and prices of things. Yeah mm hmmmm.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
How about the topic of water hunting with it? I
have not detective smile. Yeah, I have not tested for it.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Like New York water is really cold right now, so
I have not jumped in yet to be totally honest.
But seeing that it is, you know, submersible, you know,
it's I just saw it mentioned. You know, it's twenty meters,
so that would be I think it's three twenty times
(36:36):
three in feet, so yeah, yeah, yeah, wow. Yeah. So
you it's dive capable. You know, XP values versatility in
their products. XP values ergonomics in their products. So super light,
(36:56):
super portable, super utility.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Will it work like the current coils where you have
to have the external wire to it to be able
to use it underwater and it hooks up to your remote.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
Yeah, I believe. So it's got a different charging system.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Yeah, let's talking about that. That's different.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Yeah, no, listen, I want to say I don't know
for that one, for the simple reason that it's you know,
the you you clip that on the regular coils, you know,
the the antenna. It's cold, and you clip it on
the coil, you wrap it around and then you clip
it onto the remote. This one it's a little bit
(37:37):
different where it charges. So that's I'm gonna say, I
don't know for now, So forgive me for that one.
But this new underwater there's going to be a way. Yeah.
I mean they wouldn't advertise it, you know, we wouldn't
advertise it for being able to go underwater. If it
didn't have that capable.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Well, the whole reason is, so it can't. It can't
transmit radio waves through water up to the receiver to
your to your receivers, whether you're doing W six or
you're doing the the actual remote. So it's got to
have some kind of wire transmitter to go once you're
underwater from the coil yep to your to your remotes,
whatever you're using. How about Yeah, the new charge function
(38:17):
looks interesting. So you have this new sort of composite
lower shaft and it looks like it has a wire
that comes up that has a has a chargeable battery
that fits inside that shaft.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Fits inside the shaft exact, and a wire.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Hooks up to that, and then that shaft hooks inside
of your stem or whatever you're using to to do that.
You you know, that's it. That's interesting right there.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
Tony's got a really cool clip led light and you
hook it up. You know that it's charging, and yeah,
it's it's it's a really it looks really cool. I
know everybody's like, why doesn't he show us? They asked
me not to yet. I mean, it's out, you know,
the orders are happening, but they just I think there's
(39:11):
something big that's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
So yeah, very cool. I was we were talking about
before the show. I was thinking that, you know, I
was thinking. I was like, Wow, you buy this second coil,
and it's not only a second coil for your machine
that you can interchange the coil in and out and
just replace the lower shaft, keep your coil sicked up
(39:33):
to them, but it actually can be a second machine.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
That's correct, because when you're motive in WS six, that's it.
You get that second coil, second stem. You need to
figure out the headphone, Like there's an adapter that's I
think it was ten bucks. It's like ten or twenty
dollars that just you could run a wire to it,
or you could get.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Those WSA two headphones that's a two headphones to it,
and you essentially have two daises well, and then if
you just wanted to swing the lower stick, that would
be the lightesttup ever.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Man.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
That's yeah, pretty cool. Yes, buddy, you want to go
with You're like, hey man, you want to try out
metal tucking. Here, take this stem, just swing it around
by the stem, put these headphones on. Are good to go.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
It's a good challenge to do. And I was amazed
to see the pinpointing on that because it's just it's
when the signal disappears when it's at the top of
your coil, so you're swinging and then it disappears. That's
where the pinpoint is, right at the tip of your coil.
As soon as it disappears, that's where you dig.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
What's the size of that coil? Now?
Speaker 3 (40:46):
The size it is nine and a half. I have
it right here. I knew that would be asked, so
I have it written down. It is nine and a
half by five inches.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Okay, great size. I know a lot of people regardless
of what manufacturing machine you guys have. I mean, I
know I've had a nine, a five by nine, or
a nine by five for a Garrett. I have it
for the Manicore. I mean, it's just a fantastic size.
So I'm glad that they've got it in that sweet spot.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
Yep, that's great.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
Do you know, let's get to flex Detector said, will
XP offer this coil with the whole package at a
package price? In other words, like will it come with
an package? Or can do you only have to buy
the coil?
Speaker 3 (41:34):
I think that you know, these are meant to be
like mix and match, like you can add something like
one at a time, kind of like what you were saying.
Can you can start with the package where you get
the remote WS six, or you could buy just there's
a lot of different packages. You could buy it just
with the remote, you know, and the coil, and you
(41:58):
could add different coils later on. And what Ken was
just saying is if you get it with the remote
and WS six, you really have two metal detectors. So yeah, yeah,
you can add parts as you go along. In terms
of packaging, I mean, yeah, there are packages that are
out there. I'm not sure what the I mean. I
(42:18):
see it advertised for four hundred separately. I haven't seen
anything else, and I did look before where it's like
like solo detector. One thing that's important about this I
think that you know, you think of it like a reliever.
You know, this is not going to be like your
primary coil. This is one that's going to give you
(42:41):
a different look. So a field that you have just
hit super hard, maybe it's got iron down there, and
maybe you think you got everything, but you know how
it is with metal detecting, you never get everything. This
gives you a different look to get smaller targets, targets
that are on edge, targets that are buried in iron, goldflakes, chains, stuff,
(43:02):
where the the eddies are just really challenging. In New York,
we had this store, it was in the Electronics store
called Crazy Eddy, and I just I always think of
that with metal detecting, because like that's that's the basis
of it. Eddie currents and if you're thinking about something
like thin chains, you get a crazy Eddie.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
Nice, that's right, crazy, I think it's that's a great
rel you know relation uh, you know, having the reliever,
you know, another another two on your arsenal. You're going
to have your primary that you go through, you hit it,
you coin pop, you know, you really go through stuff
and then you know, as you continue to go back
and back and back to the same site, you kind
of narrow things down and really just starting to pick
(43:44):
out the last of it. This can really just the
versatility of it is insane. How many different frequencies you
can put into it. So it's crazy and.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Just and just XP and in general their whole platform,
you know, like Meryl was just kind of lead alluding
to a second ago, like a lot of metal detectors,
I came up with. Let's say you have the metal detector,
and then you might get a separate coil that you
do put on that changes some things, but all the
brain and everything is up in the top part of
your detector, right, so you're putting on this other coil.
(44:15):
It's this other sort of retriever receiver and transmitter type
information just down through a coil through a wire, but
with XP all the brains are in the individual coils.
So once you have the coil that, you have the detector,
and then you have all the accessories on how you
get that information to you. You have the WS six,
you have different types of headphones. You got the WSA two,
(44:37):
you got you know, the remote, the regular remote and
all this is and the pinpointer. You have all these
things that connect through radio waves and seamlessly, and it's
just how do you want to get that information that's
out of that coil that's sending it out through radio waves.
So it really does you know, instead of buying them
(44:57):
as a package, you can buy them as parts and
pieces and just interconnect them inner share them. You know,
you can get Yeah, you can get your remote to
connect to any coil, any pinpointer. You get your WS
six headphones that you can turn into the controller as
a master unit to connect any of these peripherals. Also,
it's just really cool platform, very very different mm hm.
(45:21):
But another question, Jason Weir asked this question. The claimer
fame with this coil is that there's more power to
the coil. Is this true? And I don't know. I'll
let you answer that, but I don't know if it
would be more power to the coil because there really
is no power.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
To recoil, right.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
I think it's it's the battery life, well not battery
life as in the time, but the power that goes
into that from the batteries. And I recalled, you know,
three times as much as like the first high frequency coil. Yeah,
so this one does have more power.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
M hmm. Somebody had asked about the battery life on it.
The technique smile said, how's that battery life with the
battery inside the shaft?
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Battery life ten hours depending upon frequency and power, so
ten hours.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
So if you're at higher frequencies, you know, depending on
our programs.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yeah, I think it would be the multi frequency that, yeah,
would be longer get you.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
It's cool, cool, exciting times. Man, anytime a new piece
of kid comes out, I don't care what it is,
it's always exciting, right. I'm sure you've had a million
questions on this, uh you know, on this coil coming.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
Out now, I can't believe it, like the I think
that the first one was very popular, but it did.
Number of questions that I've gotten on this coil, Like
people are like dying to have it in their hands,
you know. And it's a really exciting product that gives
you a different look at everything. And I mean the
(47:07):
biggest evidence for me was my yard. You would think
that everything would be dug out, but you know, that's
where I mean, we're kind of going into like an
uncharted ground because there are other simultaneous multi frequency machines
that are on the market. None of them in multi
frequency go up to ninety and you know for Mono,
(47:30):
you know a very low frequency machine going up to
one hundred and twenty killer hearts. I mean the range
on this it nothing else is even close in terms
of you know, the multi frequency versatility or the frequency versatility.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
It's very came in. Have you tried it?
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Usually?
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Am I will bother higher frequencies. That's right. And what's
your experience so far and around EMI? Have you used
this coil in your forty hours of usage around any
em I or black sand, even the highlight.
Speaker 3 (48:05):
That's a really good question. I think that's where the
extra power comes in, because the extra power can negate
some of that, like, you know, the EMI interference. I
really have not had too much issue, you know with that,
but having a stronger battery, you know that that can
(48:26):
negate you know, some of the effects of the EMI.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
Yeah, along that same lines, have you used it? Have
you tried because I know you do a lot of
testing with with detectors and things like that, multiple different
types of manufacturers. Have you tried different you try to
mind lab or a Garrett next to it and see
if you get in the interference with the question?
Speaker 3 (48:47):
Yeah, so, I I mean I have the the answers
to that in the videos. Okay, that XP like asked
me to do. And I'm sorry, you know, guys, I
love to know you're fine, man. Yeah, yeah, I just
don't want I don't want to give it up. Yeah,
(49:07):
no problem. Yeah you heard about well we understood to
go there.
Speaker 1 (49:15):
Yeah, yeah, I don't go there. We almost tripped him up.
We almost tripped him up. I try, we're trying to
trip him up.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
I always like to be, you know, honest and forthcoming.
This is just you know, some things.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
You know. Yeah, no, it's all fine, All fine.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
We asked you before the show, what can't we ask
you about? And you said, I don't ask me anything.
I don't I said, I say, you might not be
able to answer everything.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
Yeaheah.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
I just always try, you know, like if I don't
know the answer to something. You know, I've always been taught,
you know, since I was a kid. You say, I
don't know, you know, and if you do know it,
you know it, you share it. You know. It's I'm
still growing into you know this for sure. You know
I never want to sound political. You know. It's it's
(50:04):
it's a product that I believe in. That's for sure.
I couldn't do this if if if I didn't, and
you know, I'm out of where it's going.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
For sure, you have an incredible reputation in the community.
And if you if you endorse it, I mean, I
honestly trust your opinion. For sure.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
You can't you can't take a step down after you've
bought twenty three detectors, you are just not willing.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
You know, there's different detectors that resonate with different people.
This is what resonates with me. This is uh, this
is what I want to rock with. I like it's
ever evolving. Like I'm very proud of that. You know,
it's progressive and it's it's ever evolving.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
Dwayne Crown asked, with the VDI, is it going to
be the same with higher frequency? In other words of
the v D, I spread the the same with these
higher frequencies.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
I've noticed a difference. But there's another that's a good question. Yeah,
and that's me being forthcoming right there. But there's another
update that is coming out because like I was in
the the beta testing. You know of it, and you
know when you beta test there are certain things that
you're working on for me. And I was actually just
(51:24):
watching Calabash's video where he's praising the the consistency of
the VDI on it. For me, VDI is like a
little bit less important. The sound is everything. Now. I
used to be the guy I was looking at one
of my whole videos and like laughing, I was like
digging with a hand trowel. Like really early on with
(51:45):
metal Detecting NYC, I had no headphones. Part of the
reason that I've grown is people like yelling at me,
like what the heck are you doing? And you know,
I've gotten some good coaching because I read it, I
think about it, and you know, I've learned. But yeah,
it's you guys have definitely helped me grow with that.
(52:06):
My guess would be with the the second update that
you know it's going.
Speaker 2 (52:11):
To be kind of correct and fixes it.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Yeah. Yeah, And that's that's why i XP takes their
time with like releasing things. You know, no hiccups and
you know when it's ready, it's ready.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
Do you know if there was anything in stuff? And
kind of alluded to this in our chat, now, do
you know if there was anything uh in regards to
regulations and such? Because it wasn't there some regulations that
said metal detectors could only am so many external frequencies
or you know magnetic uh you know, kill hurts or whatever.
(52:51):
I thought you had talked about.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
That with the Yeah, didn't you talk about that with
the manicore?
Speaker 3 (52:56):
Yeah? Yeah, that that was that was one of the
things in the video and I got.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
Yeah, I got a lot of flack for that.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
I remember that video and you know, there was like
a brochure that was put into it and I saw
that the go find had the same power listed, and
you know, that's what raised the questions and we go
deep into that. But if you think about it, I mean,
we've had gold detectors, like you mentioned the gold bug,
(53:27):
you know, and they run at high frequencies. This is
something that you know, it's made of the same juice
as that of course, the XP superjuice version of it.
But you know, like you know, high frequencies are the
norm with with gold detectors. Yeah, so I think that
(53:48):
there's a consistency with that, and it's got to you know,
those have been allowed.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
So and I think that last time we were talking
about that, it actually is such a small, small, small
percentage of the limit of the regulation that it's barely
it's barely even a dot on the blip of that regulation.
So what about the sounds? Are they changing the sounds
Meryl with these you know this higher multi frequency, are
(54:17):
they doing a new sound?
Speaker 3 (54:19):
You know?
Speaker 1 (54:21):
Selection somebody actually said like more of a higher fidelity sound.
I think Stefan asked that question.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Yeah, when somebody was asking about the update, that was
one of the things that I just said. You know,
when I say I don't know, I don't know, I
know that it's always evolving, and I've heard a bit
about that. What I've been focusing on is using it
in different settings and that could be the next thing
that they come to me in like Merril, what do
you think about this? And that I know that you know,
(54:52):
the evolution of the sound, I mean, really that's you know,
that's at the root of the day is I mean
the fact that you could take off the remote and
go without any target ID and just sound and be
a competent detectorist. I mean that speaks to the quality
of the sound. I'm trying to imagine how much better
(55:13):
that it could get, how much more information that you
could get. And I guess when you get you know,
you use something over a long period of time, you
get used to it, and if you change it, you
could always offer like another you know, possibility to it.
But you know, square high square p w M. I mean,
(55:35):
you know you got some great options there, but what's
your favorite per You know, for a long time it
was square, But I've gone back to p w M
because if you like, there are certain settings that I'm
still going to use square, like whenever there's a drought
(55:56):
at a local lake. I can't believe this. It's like
every thing just like sinks to this same level. It's
so easy to cherry pick with square tones. It's so
easy because you you hear this the size of like
a coin, and you hear the size of something that's bigger,
like I can tell you right away if it's a
fishing weight, if it's something bigger, you know, more massive,
(56:20):
you know, more surface area, more volume. But for them,
I've gotten so used to p w M two for
my hunts. Now I'm using square less and less.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
Hmm cool.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
Interesting. Now, we did have a question in the chat here.
You have gone over like so much information. It's information
over the I have to go back and watch all
this again because you've told so much. But I think
one of the most important questions that we haven't touched
on yet that's been asked a couple of different times
in the chat here, what's your prediction on the Knick
Celtics series.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Listen, I've been long suffering when it comes to like
my sports teams, and my two teams that I care
very much about are the Mets and the Knicks, and
they have tortured me over my lifetime to the point
that I'm superstitious, like wearing socks and stuff like that
(57:20):
that you know. My when I played baseball, I was
watching the phone. I was watching the game on my
phone to the point that I was like, Okay, if
I turn on the television, I'm going to alter the
universe and then Nicks are going to lose. That's how
bad it has gotten for my two teams that I love.
(57:44):
It sure looks good right now, but I'm used to
Lucy pulling the football away from us and Charlie Charlie
Brown falling on his head. I want to say, Nicks,
you know, and wow, like I didn't expect them, you know,
after the I mean, they had a good regular season,
but I didn't expect them to go up to zero
(58:07):
against the Celtics when they weren't at home. So you
know that that's.
Speaker 2 (58:11):
That's a good series going on there, a good series. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
Okay, now that we got you lightened up, we're gonna
hit you with the hard one. Jason Weir wants to know,
be honest, are you currently testing to D three or
some new concept detector? Come on here, give us a scoop.
You can tell us right now.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
I could tell you, like, I mean, we could all
like infer Yeah, there'll be a D three someday, but
like there's still an evolution. I think there's still more
like in the plans with the D two. And that's
what you have to understand about XP. I'm just blown away.
I know I've said this in several live streams, but
(58:49):
it's worth saying again the fact that they just added
a GPS to a fifteen year old metal detective. How
cool is that? You never know what we're going to get, Like,
you're still it's still paying dividends long after the fact.
That's XP. I listened to them and I've gotten to
(59:10):
really know these guys, and they're great, And it's just
like we put out new detectors when we could significant,
significantly go above what we're currently offering. And when I
went to France and I've only gone to it, well,
I mean for XP, I went once back in college.
I went a whole nother time that was before metal
(59:32):
detecting counted, and you know, we were you know, girls
and all that fun stuff.
Speaker 1 (59:39):
I saw his memory go right back there. I don't
know if you saw that he disappeared for a quick second.
Speaker 3 (59:44):
I sure did. I had to go way back now.
So it's getting longer and longer. But you know, I
went to XP headquarters once and that will be a
trip that stuck with me. I hope to go again.
I you know, maybe this year we go again. But
the number of engineers that I met, Alan Philippe, you know,
(01:00:08):
the whole crew over there, Sylvan. You know, like these
guys are serious, like about detecting, and you know, like
think about you know how the D one kind of
changed the game, like it really it made detectors lighter
across the game, like it really did, you know. D two.
(01:00:31):
It continues to evolve and there's more surprises, and you know,
I will there be a D three of course someday,
But you know I I we're kind of unpredictable, you know,
and we still like if you buy something, we care
about it, like we we're not going to leave people hanging.
(01:00:53):
It's going to continue to evolve, and I think there's
more growth with you know, multi frequency, you know, and
as evidenced by the high frequency coil because now days
two nothing is touching that in terms of like you know,
the bands that are offered.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Yeah, that's true. This may renew I need to get
one of these coils. That may renew my interest in
getting back out in the rivers and then looking for
that gold here in Colorado.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Yeah, we have opportunities here.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Told me to jump in a river. So there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
That's a totally different idea, though not not with metal affects.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
There, I bring it everywhere.
Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
So so what do you think about this? You know,
so this is a nine by five basically elliptical coil,
high frequency, the HF two coil. Do you think that
will they ever come out with a nine or eleven
(01:01:55):
inch or thirteen inch HF coil.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
If it adds something? Yes, if it adds something, And I.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
Don't know that it would, to be honest with you,
but yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
I think it was telling because and I don't own this,
but I've heard that there was a high frequency coil
that was a different size for the DAIS one, and
I think that it was, you know, a choice, unless
if I don't know something, because you know, I don't
get told everything that's for sure, you know, like I
(01:02:31):
think that it's you know, telling that you know, two
or three coils were not put out at the same time.
I think this was the one that people went crazy
for with the DAIS one, and since I became ambassador
with XP, this is the number one question. When is
the FMF you know, high frequency coil coming out? This
(01:02:55):
is the one that a lot of people are excited
about because they've had success with the one for the
DAIS one.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Yeah, yeah, that was a lot of the same ideas,
the same things. In the chat we're saying, I can't
remember who it was, but they said specifically, I've been
waiting for this coil since the D two came out, So.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
I've heard that a lot. Yeah, absolutely in private conversations
and stuff too, because I didn't use the D one,
so I wasn't around for that, you know what I mean.
But talk about people that use the D one and
now gone over the D that's the Eureka Treasure Hunters Club.
There are a lot of members in that club that
(01:03:36):
have been detecting for you know, thirty plus years, and
they were eventually using the D one and then came
over to the D two. And I think I know
a lot of them are excited for this coil too.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
The most controversial thing that I've ever heard from XP
that got like pushback is the entire the dais one
in its entirety, can fit within one program on the
Day is two.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
I got so much pushback when I said that in
a video, like you don't know what.
Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
You're talking what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
And then I go to you know, events, and that's
the one thing that people have brought up to me,
like you don't know what you're talking about, but you know,
dais mono. It is meant. That's how XP thinks. It
is just so different. It's like, Okay, let's take what
we have, let's put this in one program. You just
asked about the Day is three. I don't know, I'm speculating.
(01:04:32):
Nobody's told me anything, Okay, but maybe they do the
same thing with the D two. They put everything that's
offered into one program. Wow, talk about progressive.
Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
Absolutely try to even speculate what the D three would
do if that's what they if that's what their jumps are,
Like you know what I mean so much to it?
Mm hmmm, let me see some other questions come in here. Here,
here's one. We can jump off the coil for just
a second. Let's talk about the Go Terrain for a minute.
(01:05:07):
So I love the Go Terrain. Are there any updates
coming to that? Are they thinking of expanding that at all?
And while you're thinking about that answer, Digging Buddy says,
what's up, buddy, Good to see you. What are the
chances for a non XP adapter for the go Terrain support? Like,
can you pluge something into the mind lab machine that
would share VDI and go Terrain with the go Terrain app?
(01:05:30):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
That would be great.
Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
So that'd be a good expansion.
Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
Yeah, so let me just say this. I'm really appreciative
of how XP has treated me this year. You all
might have noticed that I was a little bit absent
from my channel this year. My family, my dad specifically,
like it needed me this year, and you got to
(01:05:56):
step up for family. Some of the conversations, some of
these questions are really easy questions. I think I've answered
a bunch of them, but there's some that I don't
know the answer to in terms of like up and
I'm just gonna say I don't know. I always like
to be honest, I'll figure it out and i'll tell
you as soon as I know. You know, perhaps an
(01:06:17):
update on my channel or XP will update, and you know,
maybe I'll be a part of the video that updates
people on that on the XP channel. As for updates
for Go Terrain, I know that they just updated. Is
one not too long ago. So that's something that is
(01:06:39):
ever evolving. I don't know the answer to that. In
terms of like crossovers with other detectors, I if I
was to take a guess, I don't think so. It's
something that I mean, it's something that's really cool that
all you need to do is tell it how many
(01:07:00):
times did you swing over and pair it with your coil.
You have a map of where the target idea is.
You get hotspots if you want, you could take a picture,
you could plug in the photo. You could go right
back to that hot spot next time. And you know
how metal detecting works, Maybe there is a worm that's
like trying to get his workout in and just pushes
(01:07:23):
this coin into an area where you could see stuff,
and you go back to that area that is marked
in Go Terrain. You try it a few weeks later
and Eureka, you have this epic gold coin, you know,
like Tony Polls and you know, I jealously I'm saying
this with love Tony, you know, seeing that on the
(01:07:44):
Facebook because it's such an epic pull that five dollar
gold piece. Every time I see it, I'm like, someday, Meryl, someday,
because I've never found a gold coin. Yeah, it could
turn into that. And the essence of like using data,
the whole point of being data driven and you know,
(01:08:05):
you know where you've stepped, you know where you've gotten,
you know what was there, and you know map it out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
There's something to say about that, you know. I think
people you know can give you the give you grief
about it and say you're over analyzing it. But no,
I mean you can even take it down to you know,
shoot moneyball with the Oakland A's, you know, analyzing statistics
down to whatever low point. I mean, my gosh, why
(01:08:32):
can't we do that in metal tech ting as well?
Why can't we analyze and say, wow, this really was
a hot spot right here. I need to go with
a smaller coil, higher frequency to pull out those smaller
items and really concentrate on that spot. I got to
tell you. I mean, that's we have the If we
have the technology, why don't we use it like that?
Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
Well, you know, the Oakland a's and metal detectors have
the same sweet spot for success. It all depends on walks,
you know, the Oakland walk a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
You need to get on base the most. You can't
score runs if you don't get on base.
Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
That's right. And in order for us to meddle, we
need to, you know, we walk. You know, you gotta walk.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
If you're running, the bulls loose and just you know,
be careful or the moose.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Well, the moose are around you better be running, I
tell you that much.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
But Tony and I just got on a new permission
where it is there. It's miles long, you know what
I mean, Like the perimeter of my property is down there.
If you want to take the side by side, go
ahead and take it. And you see that building off
in the distance, that's sort of the perimeter of my property.
Speaker 3 (01:09:37):
And so we're.
Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
Like, you know, we're exploring, kind of hot picking. The
first time we were there, we're kind of cherry picking.
But yeah, using that program, you see where you've already
hunted and what you found there so next time, maybe
you go search a different area until you find the
hot spot, you know, and then you're like, okay, now
see if we can find another hot spot. Okay, this
is making sense that these two hotspots were in this
(01:10:00):
and you know, you go away for a week. He
had four or five other other permissions. Kind of you
come back. Yeah, your darn it, did you uh you
remember where that hot spot was here? And oh yeah, yeah,
yeah it was right over here. You know, this is
where you found that you know, close spind that time.
(01:10:21):
But that program is great, man, just because you can
see exactly where you were and where you concentrated on
and stuff. It's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
So yep, yeah, I'm jealous because I don't have that.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
But you got a gold coin, man, Come on.
Speaker 1 (01:10:36):
Yeah, you should never sky.
Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
He pulled one. At least he pulled I mean he
pulled one over a spot I'd been over a umteeen
number of times. So I'll tell you what to pull
out that one dollar gold coin mine was? I mean
a blind man could have found mine. His was, I
tell you it was. Took some work. He put in
the work, and he was rewarded.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
We both were extremely lucky.
Speaker 2 (01:11:01):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
But if you just look in the spots where it
possibly could be. Well, actually mine wasn't like that, but
there's no chance that, no reason that mine was there
where it was. But yeah, if you just keep looking
for it, you'll eventually find one. Just put yourself in
the spots where it possibly could happen, you know, knowing
where they came from, knowing where how they got dropped,
(01:11:22):
and stuff like that. Get that treasure, said, when are
we going to see it tested on some gold chains?
We all want to see that. There you go, video ideas.
Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
There you go, Yeah, to tune into Metal Tecting And
why is that where you're going to have it on
your on your YouTube?
Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
This one's going to be on the XP channel. Yeah
it will Okay, yep, you're going to see it plenty
on Metal Detecting NYC for sure. But the video I'm
working on right now is XP channel.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Yeah, alright.
Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
In the video, you can be wearing a gigantic chain
with like yeah playing hang on it and your grills.
Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
On the beach.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
And say, anybody can find this kind of chain, but
how could you find this kind of change? You can
barely see it, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
Cool thing about New York you really do get like that,
like blinged out, but like real gold Like I mean,
I got a legit collection. I've got grills, you know,
and I've got these chains, like I could really like
rock Halloween. I really can't.
Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
Oh Man, check this one out, Treasure Earth. In your
testing of this coil, what factory program did you use
when you're doing your forty hours of testing all kinds?
Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
Yeah, in general is what we started with Goldfield Beach
high Frequency I used. And yeah, I'm gonna be coming
up coming out with some new programs and I'm really
picking their brains on this as well too. They've been
(01:13:01):
so that's one thing I really appreciate. I've learned so much,
you know, from the people at XP and you know,
they're so available, but you know, I wanted I want
these programs to be on point, and they will be.
They will be. Yeah, so like stuff that you can
stuff that you could plug in right away for the
(01:13:23):
different settings that really for the different areas, terrains. That's
the word I'm looking for that will really make this
product shine, you know, that will really make this coil shine.
I'm going to try to make a video that has
like a program for each one. So it's a really
(01:13:43):
ambitious video, but it's going to be very worthwhile.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
M This is a great comment came in from our
friend Buddy, Digging Buddy says, just to call it out.
You're a great teacher, maryw You've got more students than
you know. I appreciate you, brother.
Speaker 3 (01:14:02):
Digging Buddy. I appreciate your support for so many years.
You know you've been commenting on my videos. Hope to
meet you someday, so thank you so much for that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Buddy's a great guy man. We've dug a couple of
times over in England with him and he's definitely great guy.
So great comment, buddy. How about this one we got
Green Mountain sixty four said, just really can't see Meryl
rap I cannot. I've told you this before. This was
the last show he did with you. It is still
(01:14:33):
the truth. I cannot listen to Billie Eilish anymore. Whenever
that whenever that baseline comes on, Doom Doom, Doom, Doom, doom,
doom doom, it just I go, I'm a clad guy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
You think you're a guy, of course, if you're a
bad guy.
Speaker 1 (01:14:49):
They say it every single time, and they just look
at me like, what are you talking. I got to
show you the video.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
I gotta show you the video again.
Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
It made a lasting impression. It made a lasting wrench
about me.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Thanks buddy, that was awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
Uh, here we go. Here's a good one. Duayanne Crown says,
we need an HF coil for the extreme Hunter so
we can find three foot deep dimes.
Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Wow, that's like the polar opposite mix right there. So
the huge coil that goes huge targets sixteen feet deep
and high frequency to get that. Wow, that's that would
like blow up the universe.
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
That's a lot of power.
Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
The magnetrometers on that's that's just pretty crazy. Shoot, we've
been a If you've got another questions, throw them in
here and stuff. Let me see. Yeah, it's not like
you need a lab coat like Calabash. Don't tread on me.
Metal Detecting said, there you go. That's a charging system
(01:15:57):
on HF two coil. We talked about it, battery inside
the shaft.
Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
It's a really cool clip. Listen, people, I'm dying to
show you. They've asked me not to show it yet.
I think they've got something big planned. So you know,
it's not my place to like, you know, like go
rogue and like show everybody. But you know, it's it's
gonna be cool, it's gonna be very worthwhile. XP only
(01:16:27):
puts stuff out when there's like a significant jump, and
I like that about them. It's like, don't waste people's
time with like the you know, like talking it up
and then it underperforms. No, no, no, no, no no.
You have to understand what you're getting with this again,
think about this. This is a relief picture. Okay, it
(01:16:48):
is a quality Marianna rivera relief picture. It's going to
give you a different look. The thing that blew my
socks off right away was the chain, you know, the
fact that it got this thin chain that I only
found gold, that I only found mud larking. It was
the first thing that I ever tested, and I've tested
(01:17:09):
a lot that got that, and I was very oppressed
from there. Again, gold detectors, we have gold modes on
lots of different detectors. But I'm not trying to be
rude with this. I'm really not. This is legit because like,
(01:17:30):
what do you really need to find small gold flakes?
You need high frequencies. It's a high frequency coil goes
multi up to ninety and up to one hundred and
twenty if you're going mono, so it's now the widest range.
Like this detector continues to evolve because XP cares, because
(01:17:54):
XP wants it to be elite. It wants to like
knock it out of the park every time it cares
to do that, and you could expect more surprises in
the future. That's what you know, That's why they work
so hard. Now be a member of that team.
Speaker 1 (01:18:12):
With multi frequency going up to ninety, I mean ninety,
killer is still higher than almost any other I think,
higher than any other gold finding machine, gold bug, in multiple,
gold cruiser, you name it. I think you higher than
Garrett's new one. All these gold machines, I mean, don't
(01:18:33):
get me wrong, they're all the action, They're all good
gold machines. You find plenty of gold with these machines.
But still, I mean this, this new coil is going
up even higher frequency, which means you're going to find
even the smaller pieces of gold out there. And then
when you can set it on mono and go up
to hundred twenty, I can't even imagine what that's going
to be like like, I can't even imagine what that's
(01:18:55):
going to be, Like I can imagine it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
Yeah, yeah, I can imagine it, and you lluditude it.
And you even said it earlier. Ken was was trying
that out here in Colorado because we do have some
we've got some good rivers for gold, but it's it's
all flower going, it's all small. We don't get nuggets
out here in color We've got gold. And to throw
one hundred and twenty killer herts out there in the river.
I can't wait to head out there and just watch
(01:19:21):
you can on.
Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
The dry wash, on the dry washes when the yeah,
the flood's coming in and.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
It's gonna Yeah, it's gonna be a great, great opportunity
for us out here in Colorado.
Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
Yeah, it's gonna be exciting for sure. It'd be awesome.
And get some videos of that, you know what I mean,
some of that stuff, you'd be pretty awesome. We got
let's get.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
Through a couple more questions here in the chat. Okay,
go for it. Uh Yeah, I think this one's good.
This is from Ferris Grump. What a great name I saw,
the h The HF has a replaceable battery. Do you
know how much like a second battery, what cost that
you can take two of them with you? May not
(01:20:04):
be something that's been released yet.
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
Okay, if first of all, hi faris you also have
been supporting my channel for so many years, and I
just want to say thank you for that. I think
that would be covered under the warranties. I think you
would send it in. I don't think you would get
a second battery like that. I know you might be
(01:20:29):
thinking like charging wise, what about.
Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Being like an additional battery take with you? If you
know you say you said ten hours, so say but
say we're running one hundred and twenty killer Hurtz for
six hours or eight hours, and we want to spend
another two hours out there, you want a second battery.
It may not again be something that that's been come
that's come out yet, but yeah, it's a good idea.
Speaker 3 (01:20:52):
It is a good idea. Yeah, if you you know
hardcore detectorists, we go around the clock with it for
sure hours.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:21:01):
Socially, that's a good question. You know, I'll do the
humble thing and say I don't know. I'm sorry about that.
I wish I did know the answer to that. That
has not been said to me yet, but it sounds logical.
XP goes by logic, so you know, when we find
(01:21:21):
this out nice here's.
Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
A question by Doug Atkins. Can XP make it where
the detector will remember more than one pair of headphones?
Mm hm, trying to trying to get where he's coming
from with that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
I think that would that's one of the things that
would blow up the universe too, Like that would rip
the fabric of like space and time. I've tried turning
it on a few times at you know, around others,
and you know it's it's worked really well because it's
designed to have one in there and then you have
(01:21:57):
to like take it out. You have to like unpaired
like if you want to change it. But I think,
like for instance, like it in group hunts, there are
so many other I mean, there's it gets lost, like
you you pair with like the wrong person. I think
it's the sail safe that prevents you know, your friend
(01:22:21):
from linking up with your detector.
Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
Did you hear what Tony just said about me?
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Heard that? What? I mean? What what annoying would that be?
You're over there swinging and did you and you hear
your buddy they've got a good signal, you start digging,
there's nothing there. It's gonna drive you crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
The design to this, like it like there has to
be so much thought that goes into this. I was
thinking with the multi frequency and the you know, you know,
being that the frequencies are so high and small objects
and like differentiating them. I know. This was like the
news was broken late last year and it's taken a while.
(01:23:03):
It's a challenge, you know, like it's something that has
to be combed through to get all of the bugs,
and you know, to make it work at a level
that people are happy. And you hear about the the
different versions and the debate of like updating and stuff
like that, you know, getting progress each time. It's tough.
(01:23:26):
It's tough.
Speaker 1 (01:23:27):
Yeah, here's a question that makes some sense. I'm wondering
how it is a good question. Does it feel lighter
than the nine inch coil or other standard coils since
the battery is up in the shaft and it's not
in the coil, you know what I mean, Like it's not.
Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
Got really nice balance. It's got a sweet spot, you
know for balance. I wouldn't call it lighter. They're both
so light. I mean we're talking about comparing one point
six pounds with like one point seven pounds. You really
don't feel the difference. I mean, all of the coils
are made to swing all day.
Speaker 2 (01:24:04):
Yeah, XP excels at that. Yeah, in terms of wight, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
Like I think that, like more so than anything else,
is the paramount thing, you know, the most important thing
that you know, Alan looks for. I remember him, you know,
talking to me about that when I went to France.
Because if you're comfortable, you swing longer. And I've seen
like there's like a meme on the metal detecting Internet
(01:24:32):
of a guy who's at the beach who is like
he's bringing his coil up. You know, you know, we
all goof on each other for that. But when you
get tired, that's inevitable. Like that's the first thing that leaves.
And that's where ergonomics comes in. If you're comfortable, you're
gonna do You're gonna be able to swing longer. If
you swing longer, you find more. It's that simple. So
(01:24:56):
ergonomics is huge. We think about depth, we think about separation,
Maybe we should put ergonomics like at a higher value.
And you know that's where actually comes in you could
fit it in a backpack. It's like that super athlete,
you could fit in a backpack. You know. It's and
(01:25:17):
you know most configurations you know, at or below two pounds,
well over handled two pounds.
Speaker 1 (01:25:24):
All right. Gary Holds said, you have a saying we
just unlocked Jello. Well you have a new sayings when
they come out with the new coil.
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
I just added my first new unlock in years, and
it was it was in my last video and basically
I found something gold plated and you know, gold unlocked sushi.
The universe told me that I don't know what rule
you know, made that happen, but since it was gold plated,
(01:25:57):
we just made an unlocked for a guest station and sushi.
Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
OHI, it's not quite it's it's there, but it's not
quite there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:26:07):
Yeah, but that's exactly the point, because it's it's like
plated gold. It's there, but it's not quite there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:15):
So you celebrate with guests.
Speaker 3 (01:26:17):
Well, we don't really celebrate with gas station sushi. We
don't want food poison. But it's the same theme with
the you know, with the plated gold.
Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
I just thought to be interesting to create a YouTube
channel and all you do is you go around and
you sample gas station food, rank it and rate it
and try it no matter how disgusting it looks, you
know what I mean? And I just do it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
Monetize on that channel that you're gonna need to go
to the doctor.
Speaker 1 (01:26:47):
That'll be the plea to the viewers, like, please, you
gotta support my health insurance protect myself. Well, marril Man,
you have been and amazing guests so much. I knew
you would jeeus. You came and answered as many questions
as you could. We definitely appreciate your time. We can't
wait for this coil to come out. I know so
(01:27:08):
many people are excited for it. Hey, if you're watching
and you can think of questions that maybe Meryll didn't
get to or we didn't get to make sure you
either send us an email, get a hold of us
somehow DKA at Adventures in Dirt dot com, or you
can plost a post a comment below and we'll be
happy to get them over to Meryl and see if
we can get you an answer for it. But wow, Meryl,
(01:27:32):
good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
It's exciting times when new kit comes out, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
I always love coming on this show. Thank you guys
so much for having me.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
Yeah, well, we're wishing you luck in the coming time.
I know that you're going to be requested more and
more and more, and you know you're always going to
get a lot of the same questions and stuff. So
good luck with your patience coming up with some of
that stuff. You know, other manufacturers that have come on
the same thing, it's like they get the same questions
all over. You know, think of any questions we didn't
cover here tonight that maybe the people should know.
Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
I mean, I guess, I.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
Mean I kind of said it before, like every evolving
is like the word to remember, the phrase to remember
what the day is too. You never know what you're
going to get, you know, later on in the future.
You know, as evidenced by the GPS Go Terrain you
know program that was just put on a fifteen year
old metal detector high frequency coil. I mean, think about
(01:28:32):
when the days came a day is two came out
and how different of a machine it is now. You know,
with the extreme Hunter with the high frequency coil, XP
cares to knock it out of the park. You know,
it wants to be great, and I don't know I'm
immensely proud of that, and you know, it wants to
(01:28:55):
be groundbreaking and really, you know, disrupt what's you know
what the norms are. So yeah, it's when something like
this comes out, it's something to be excited about. And
it's never going to be redundant. It's going to be
something that is different. It's going to give you a
different look. And I think the thing to know about
(01:29:17):
this coil it's that analogy with the relief pitcher. Yes,
here are settings where it will shine. It's not going
to be your first option. You got great options with
the nine inch, eleven inch, thirteen inch coils, but this
is something that will give you a different look that
will be very valuable, especially in you know, certain settings
(01:29:40):
that will you know, really make it shine.
Speaker 1 (01:29:44):
Yeah, awesome, Well, thanks man, We appreciate your time. Last
words from you. Then we'll put you in the green
room and Tony and I will close the shout and
then we'll say yah, goodbye's off air. You okay with that?
Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
Yeah, all right, you give you the floor, thanks for watching.
Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
You go, and we're gone.
Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
I kind of did like the wrap up before, and yeah,
you start thinking to yourself when you're a teacher. It's
it's like people just start like giving you, like the
blank look. It's like, all right, you gotta just you
got to wrap it up now.
Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
So yeah, okay, well we'll see in a minute. We'll
put you in the green room.
Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
Sounds good.
Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Thanks again, buddy, We appreciate it. I've done that with
presentations before you get to right an hour in and
they're just like yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
Yeah, like I need to wrap us up. And then
they say, okay, final words. I'm like I already gave him.
Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
Sorry, right, you missed about minutes ago.
Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
Oh what a great guess. Meryl's always awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
Yeah, that was great.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Gosh. You know, I've been following his uh his YouTube
channel for years upon years. The information like a lot.
There's a pure library of information that he has. Absolutely incredible,
incredible guy, incredible ambassador. XP is lucky to have nab
that guy. I tell you what.
Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
Yeah, the BDI Bibles used to put out all that stuff. Yeah,
I mean, if you're if you're a user of a
DAIS two or a DAIS one even for that matter,
you need to go over his channel Metal Detecting NYC.
He's put out tons of instructional videos. Some of them
get really deep in our very long videos because he
really gets into it. Others are kind of short, quick
(01:31:29):
biers that kind of just give you some advice that
maybe can turn your detecting game around. So I encourage
you to go over there and check out his YouTube
channel and then be looking out for him on the
XP Metal Detecting channels on their website for any kind
of new updates that are coming out. So thanks again
to Meryl. That's awesome. Yep, great you got going on.
Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
