the season. Super excited about that. We are now in week three of

I'm doing great. I don't haveanything really other than this wretched heat
needs to end and it will say, yeah, it was, so you're
not gonna believe this. I'm kindof a dudail now. I golfed Monday
and I played eighteen and it gothot right when we finished around eleven thirty.

I am playing nine on Wednesday morning, so it's not going to be
that bad um heat wise. ThenThursday evening, I'm supposed to golf and
that's gonna be either rainy or beautifulor I don't believe in both. I
don't think there's beautiful rainy weather.Hard disagree over, I know, that's

why I said it. I waslike that the one time we'll disagree on
this podcast, it's about the weather. Yeah, So I'm hoping that the
rain waits until like late Thursday nightor early Thursday morning or something so I
can actually golf. And like ifit's you know, sprinkler or whatever,
I don't have any problem golfing oreven if it's raining. But like obviously
once lightning is in the area,you have to sure go back to the

clubhouse. Oh man, I don'tlike hitting off really wet grass. It
kind of you get those big assuh oh is it ass? It's the
big the big chunks of the groundwhen you hit the ball, and so
I don't like it. Yeah,I putted so Monday morning it didn't rain

like Sunday or anything, but thegroundskeeper went around and had watered all the
greens early Monday morning before it gotlike light outside or really light. Um,
and dude, it was so badthe front basically the front nine and
then basically into like a whole thirteenor so. Putting on wet greens is

literally the hardest. So like,now would I go, you have to
double how hard you're hitting it.So now when I go on on Wednesday
and Thursday, I'm gonna be likesending them fifty feet beyond the hole because
I'm gonna be not adjusting. Butthat also sounds like a b problem.

I really do need to golf withmy favorite person in the whole wide world,
not just a friend of the program, a brother of the program,
absolute great supporter, Mike Denny.Mike gave me shit for not so before
we start that we're just gonna cussa little bit on this podcast and not
like forcibly, but it's going tobe an organic cussing podcast. I think

it'll be more fun, more conversational. So Mike was giving me some shit
about I called him a friend ofthe program last time. So Mike is
a brother of the program. Thisone ties into the Willy Gage Junior news
guys, in case you missed it, he was suspended for four games for
violating the league's personal conduct policy.Connor, do we want to have a
conversation about that or do we justwant to move on? I just want

to say the question is still funny, so we can definitely go into it.
Because the Willy gazing is he threwa vacuum. There is more to
his story that made it sound moreserious than just throwing a vacuum. And
I hope it seems like he is. He talked a bit about it over

the summer, but I hope hetook the counseling seriously that he had to
do as a mandate from this incident. But I just I saw people saying,
as he just threw a vacuum,and it's like, there's there's more
to the story. Ye nothing likeI don't even know if any of the

rest of the story made it towhere he deserved a four game suspension still,
but I just want to say that, yeah, no, and it's
more like no one, well Ishouldn't say no one. A lot of
people us we are not denying thathe shouldn't be punished in some way and
like the NFL can't do that,but like a the timing of it and
be the context of it compared toother guys who have done a lot worse,

Like the severity of it. That'swhere I kind of am like,
Eh, I don't know even iffour games suspension that they you know,
started at the beginning of the year, because we've known about this issue for
like a while now, it hasbeen resolved for a while now, sure,
whatever, fine, but like thefact that it was just handed down
randomly after Week two when Willie Gayhimself resolved illegal issues in July, It's

just like, I don't know whatthey were waiting on. Is there investigation
really that long and arduous? I'mgonna say I doubt that. Yeah,
I'm gonna be honest. I didn'teven consider, like I think earlier in
the off season or maybe later inthe off season. My question is are
we gonna get Frank Clark's suspension?So that's what I was gonna say,

Like we've talked about Frank Clark's suspension, and like during those conversations and I
should have thought about it. WillieGay junior suspension never even crossed my mind.
I was just like, they've alreadysettled that now. That was foolish
of me, obviously, but like, I didn't think this was coming at
all. That that's just me.I assumed that it would have come before

the season, just because it wasa while ago. In same for Clark,
but maybe not. Maybe he'll besuspended next week. And obviously one
of those losses is probably a lotmore significant than the other at this point,
but Frank Clark is still getting alot of reps, like you're gonna
have to replace that with somebody else. You can get a long look at
Josh Kano, Ormale Carring or both. Yeah, And I'll say also the

NFL's they've always been weird with suspensions. I don't I haven't understood a lot
of them. Because a player literallyassaulted a coach and by their own words,
caused serious damage and they only suspendedhim one game, So I don't
know. Yeah, it's weird.Mike to that point, he wants to
know what home appliance is most likelyto get you in trouble. I think

it's the stove for me, man, Like Lea, I would throw Yeah,
not unlike i'd throw a stove inanybody type of way or like hit
it against the wall or whatever.But the I leave it on a lot,
and like I don't use the ovenat all, really lunch in a
blue moon because I have an airfryer. Yeah it's electric, so luckily

that's yeah, so I leave.I don't really touch the oven. If
I used it more often, i'dprobably leave it on. I'm bad.
I leave the stove on like oncea week, dude. I'll just walk
away and like I'll come back in, like I'll I'll sense the heat and
kind of smell like the little burningleft over, and then I'm like,

what the what the hell? AndI'll look over and one of the burners
is still like on medium low becauseI don't cook on high at all.
It hardly ever goes about medium forme. But still leaving it on is
leaving it on. So I thinkthe stove would be definitely my answer.

would probably be a remote or really, I just because I get mad at
it, like the streaming the GoogleChrome cast stuff, because I always get
mad at how slow it is andhow slow smart TVs are. It's honestly
really annoying because I have a PCat home. I built my own PC

and it's like very fast as everythingquickly. I could edit videos and whatever
on it too. And I goover to my TV and I turn it
on and like it takes five secondsto scroll over one app. I'm just
like, come on, man,it's twenty twenty two. What are we
doing here. I know my TV'sonly five hundred dollars, but still this.

I've been on people's like fifteen hundreddollars TVs. It doesn't same thing.
So just I would say streaming decks. I guess you could say,
ye know that for me, whichI consider appliance. Yeah. Now I
have a smart TV too, andit's really a dumb TV because, like
you said, it takes so longto do stuff, and I'm like,
dude, I would rather my TVon my computer now with my monitor than

getting the FFing TV setup because ittakes so long, and like, if
you want to change channels, youhave to go to the guide and then
the guide takes five seconds to loadup and then changing your channel, Like
it's it's very annoying and I don'tlike it, So I'm with you on
that. That's a good point.I have actually enjoyed my TV more just
because I've been enjoying being a couchpotato. But I think that's my slow

evolution into being over thirty, whichis now in almost a little over two
years. So um, I thinkit's just that slow degradation. Yeah,
now I'm thinking about that. Butlike in a lot of ways, like
I I have a lot of dadtraits without actually having to have the kid,

like I need air monarchs, andlike i'd be So you're you're young
in bones, not not at hard. Yeah I'm not. Yeah, I'm
young in bones. But you know, thirty thirty is always an a weird

in the season, they don't reallyhave much draftable talent. Like heading into
the year, I know that MasonFairchild the tight end, was getting a

little bit of buzzes like a lateround pick. I think he has like
five catches this season. Earl Bostickthe offensive tackle, big dude, good
athlete. Lonnie Phelps defensive end.He's a little small, I think for
an NFL defensive end, kind oflike guys that have come through Kansas before.
But he had like eight and ahalf sacks and thirteen tackles for lost
last year. He's off to agood start this year. Lonnie Phelps in

the future would be like the onlyone I could really think of. Maybe
Bostick perhaps, but needless to say. Um Connor obviously a bigger KU football
fan than I am. KU doesn'thave many first round picks this year.

the Raiders are a much better teamthan people are giving them credit for right
now. But they are also anO and two teams, so people are

making fun of them when they're reallystill probably like a nine win team.
I think they could still get thereeven if that happens, though, like
you said, with the Broncos notbeing anything crazy, with the Chiefs already
beating the Chargers and obviously they're goingto be there in some capacity at the
end of the year. It's notgoing to be this all out bloodbath between
fourteen like some people made it outto be. It was always going to

be like a two horse race withthe capacity to be three. Um but
like the degrees of separation from oneand two to the rest of them,

the defense is better than last year, so they could get up to the

I don't know, man, Imean, like I would assume that

along the process, right, Likeis it maybe the rumored interviews? Is
it something like that? Because isit just people are scared of any read

truly pin it down as one reason. It might be a lot of things.

the thing is he will give differentinterviews and leave different impressions on different franchises,

almost seems like the Chiefs weren't evengonna bring him back, and he's only

Colorado, YadA YadA, Like wedon't know what actually happened. People who

claim to know don't know what actuallyhappened. Like Eric B. Enemy is,
by my exposure to him, agood guy and a good um not
interview but basically press conference, andlike I would have no problem letting Eric
B. The Enemy lead my franchise. I think that he does rub some
people the wrong way and he's avery intense guy, but like he's not

going to go in a job interviewand like cuss said an NFL owner,
and like you know what I mean, Like it's not going to be that
same Eric b enemy to a t, but like, I don't know,
you can't do this us well inthis role and not get an interview unless
there's something going on, I think, or a job, not just an

interview. Yeah, I know mybout the job. Yeah, maybe he's
just too like raw old school andowners are looking for something new. It's

a scale of one to ten,how concerned should we be about the Chiefs
offensive line? Um? For thosewho haven't been following the RBS, don't
matter dot Com, the Ben Baldwin'sstuff. Um really just EPA in general
and PFF grades and stuff over expectation, all the analytics and all that is

(25:52):
I think the right yeah for theoffensive lines. Um, the Chiefs run
blows been pretty damn good so farthis year, it's been pretty damn good.
I'm the past blocking, on theother hand, has not. It's
been frankly un good. It's beenbad. So it's it was what like

(26:17):
around twenty second in the league.It looked like on the chart. Um,
I don't know, it's two games. I'm not too concerned yet.
And they played. One of thegames was against Cleil Mac and Joey Boza.
Give me a number, damn it? One to ten? Eight?
Only eight? Eight? Oh ona scale? Okay, ten being most

concerned too. Oh, I waslike three. Your ride does not match
the number of your foot down here. The season, I'll say, like
if I was if we did wantto have one hundred, I would be
like thirty five because Andrew Wiley's lookedworse at right tackle this year than here,

and Orlando Brown has probably been thefourth best offensive linemen so far.
And those are your two tackles,and you would rather have your tackles be
better than your guards be better.So I'm a little worried about that.
I'm curious to see if Lucasiang returning, if he actually has given a chance

(27:22):
to start a right tackle. Butthe run blockings there, and I think
a lot of the past blocking stuffis actually just communication on blitzes because the
Chiefs have actually been blitzed a lot, so when they nail that down.
What will it look like? Willit look as bad against four man pressures
when they reap their communication even thoughit's the same offensive line, and now

(27:45):
you still have to get used tothe communication again you have to like refire
those brain signals. What will itlook like. I'm not concerned right now.
If they look bad against a cult'sdefensive line that I would consider good
but not like anything crazy. Theyhave Buckner and uh Jones um Chandler Jones

(28:07):
um, then maybe we start soundingjones uh yes, okay, they in
guaqway and okay, yeah, okay, dude, it was it was a
player that I knew. Yeah,you're totally right there, Just something in
my brain I was like, man, maybe I wasn't following that. Okay,

we're good. Yeah it was yannickUm, who's still great passers.
Sure, if they struggle, like, if it looks they can like they
can give up sacks, guys,come on, it's fine. But if
they like struggle like it was constantpressure in both games, So I get
why it looked bad Um to Charlottethis week again. Yeah, I mean

I'm a little bit concerned. Yeah, I think on a scale of one
to ten, I'm like a three. I think if that maybe like two
and a half half, Like yousaid, Connor, I just you get
the first game excuse. I thinkreally like, I'm willing to give a
lot of teams, especially ones thathave won in the past, a little
bit of time to get going.So the Cardinals, I know they were
banged up. The Chiefs pass protectionshould have been better. I'm giving them

(29:15):
that excuse. Then they played theChargers, who not many offensive lines are
going to hold up great against KhalilMack and Joey Bosa. I'm just saying
I think, yeah, they didblitz and like the Chief's interior of the
offensive line also didn't do well againstthe Chargers at all. Like I think,
all things equal, in the future, the interior plays better. I

(29:38):
think Orlando Brown Junior gets better asthe season goes on. I think Andrew
Wiley, just if he's your fifthbest offensive lineman, you're generally okay.
The Chiefs run blocking is going tobe good all year. I think the
past protection should get better. Butif your left tackle is just slightly above
average against the pass and you're playingelite team and your right tackle is slightly

below average against the past or evenjust straight up below average. That is
a big deal. When you're outsidepieces aren't that great and you're playing great
teams every week with good defensive lines, that's going to make your numbers look

that you expect to be good arestill good. It's just I think there's
communication issues, and I think thefirst game, especially, they did not
expect the Cardinals to blitz of thatmuch. I think they were expecting teams
to come out and play him likethey did last year, and they did
not. So the communication on blitzesis going to be amplified when you have

teams blitzing over half the time inthe Cardinals game or I think the Chargers
were around thirty percent, so it'lllook worse because of that. Mahomes will
always make a few pressures on hisown. I think he's done bear this
year though than he did last year. So far. I think his pocket
presence has been fine for the mostpart. You know, he's always going
to play that street ball, butI think it's mostly been he's been stepping
