as well here on YouTube. Itonly takes a couple of clicks. It

(02:21):
also helps our show grow tremendously. At that. With that said, let's
get Matt and Jeff up here withme, guys. It's a three game,
three games slate here. We gottasideways Jeff. We got a sideways
Jeff here on the panel. Wegot three games on the board here,
man to you know, the latterpart of the season here, it's it's
really tough because we don't know whatkind of type of motivation we get from

(02:44):
some of these teams, uh,this early end of the day as well,
we don't know, you know, who's playing who's not. But for
the most part, we gotta dowith the information we have no available at
the time we're capping these games.Um, but yeah, let's let's go
to you, Matt. Matt, let's talk to you first. How has
the things been going here in thelast part of the season here. Yeah,

(03:06):
you know, I didn't have theweekend I wanted. I ended up
going two and four, but bounceback so far this week. We're four
and one so far. Yesterday wehad a four percent play on the Minnesota
Timberwolf, so that was great. That was actually a two dollars Tuesday play,
so hopefully you guys got that one. I'm four and one and two
dollars Tuesday so far, so feelingpretty good about that. Like to get
you guys those easy winners for thoseTuesday bats. And yeah, just looking

(03:29):
at you today. To your point, Ron, these slates are getting a
little tougher, but we're primarily targetingthose spots where both teams have something to
play for. So those are thespots, the games that I'm targeting,
the player props that I'm targeting, things of that nature. So ready to
keep it rolling today with you guys. Yeah, I mean same thing for
me. I was with you withthe Twin, not the Twins, the

(03:52):
timber was I had the money linethat I kind of did that little money
line Matt money line play. Sobecause I was I was late on the
line, and so I took themoney line. It was like minus one
twenty five at the time, So, um, that was a good play
there. The sides, the sidesand the money lines have been a lot
better than the totals so far toend the season. But um, you
know, hopefully we continue just youknow, riding that streak there on the

(04:14):
especially on the sides. Uh,Jeff, how are things with you?
You know, I'm right side upnow, so I can't complain. But
you know, funny enough as faras it goes, guys, I'm kind
of swinging the opposite, you know. I've been doing a lot with sides
and plays of that aspect in theNBA. But we've been running hot with
NBA totals here, so you know, a lot of looks as we get

(04:36):
to the end of the year. Some of these lines, some of these
games are a little harder to cap, you know, depending on who's playing
for what and how much you're playingfor. But I really kind of dove
into these totals here at the endof the year and and it's made us
some money, so I can't complainas we look to the postseason here starting
what next week? Wow, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's gonna be

(04:58):
it's gonna be a grind here withthe playoffs, NBA playoffs and then obviously
everyone's really kicking in the MLB asideas well, and then the NHL playoffs.
So that's the more reason to goover to sportsmamo dot com because we
got so many handicappers that touch onmany sports here, not just the NBA.
But this is the NBA Triple DoubleShow. So we'll get into the
games here, Wizards and the Hawks. Wizards is a you know, thirty

(05:20):
four and forty five on the seasonon a three game losing streak. Second
lego back to back games really afterthe All Star break. This seems like
they just kind of quit on theteam there. They really gave it up.
Hawks. On the other hand,at forty and thirty nine on the
season, they finally locked in forthe playings. Second lega back to get
back games for them as well.Coming off of that big win over the

(05:40):
Bulls yesterday in Chicago, they headback home into Atlanta. Here from an
injury perspective, the only person thatI know out officially is Avdiah For the
Wizards there, we got a bunchof questionables but I do expect the Wizards
to shut these guys down for theremainder of the season. A bal right
more as Kuzmo porzingis. All thoseguys MISSU officially, like I said,

(06:02):
officially questionable at the moment, butI don't expect them to be playing tonight.
On the opposite side, we gotTrey and Hunter missed yesterday's game.
Hunter was actually officially outright before theshow. Trey is still questionable. Bogdanovich
has been downgraded to questionable, soto me, that signs that's a sign
that he might sit tonight. Froma matchup perspective, Hawks on the series

(06:24):
two one, but the Wizards twoone against the spread, Hawks won the
most recent matchup here, one fourteento one oh seven. Jeff, let's
start with you here. Do yousee I mean, it's hard to look
at these teams here and see who'sthe more motivated team. But obviously the
Hawks have some momentum on their side. Would you look towards them? I
mean, this is a pretty bigline here. What are your thoughts?

(06:46):
Yeah, that you know that bigline? You said, it was the
first thing that stood out to me, no question. I mean, you
look back at what Washington's done.Sure, they've lost, you know,
the majority of their games here inthe recent swings, they've lost three,
four, eight to their last ten, but they've actually covered five out of
their last six. So I thinkthat that's an angle that you take with
a great assault, especially you know, with the injuries that we see coming

(07:11):
in. But Atlanta's won these gamesand struggled to cover even small lines.
I mean, they failed to coverthree as a three point favorite, and
that win against Dallas. They beatCleveland, but they pushed the spread.
They were a two point favorite, and prior to that, I mean,
they lost a couple as favorites outright. So I you know, I do
I said it at the top ofthe show. I do think that it

(07:33):
does come into play what these teamshave to play for. And obviously Washington
doesn't have much left to play for. But you tell me a double digit
spread here with Atlanta being without TreyYoung, my first instinct is not to
back Washington, but it's not toback Atlanta as a double digit favorite without

(07:55):
potentially without Trey Young. And Ithink that that Bogdanovic injury update is huge
because the closer we get to tipoff, I think that those changes,
you know, are are showing whatthe team is actually thinking, because you
don't put somebody to questionable unless you'retruly debating on sitting them out, what
six hours before game time when theyweren't on you know, the injury report

(08:20):
prior to that. So you know, I'm not in love with this game.
I do think Atlanta has more toplay for, but neither team has
had the defense. I could belooking over here too, but I would
be taking Washington post double digit pointsagainst this Atlanta team right now. Yeah,
I know, there's there's a coupleof things, I know, Jeff,

(08:41):
you touch on the STQL stuff,A couple of things that I noticed
really from the Wizard side they havecovered, you know, especially post Allstar
Break. I mentioned that they kindof gave up after the All Star Break,
but these double digit lines, they'veactually been covering three zero and one
against the spread as double digit dogspost to All Star Break, also three
and one to the over in thosegames. I feel like in these type

(09:01):
of situations, typically the teams are, you know, these double digit lines,
typically there's no defense involved here.I think one team knows they can
beat the other pretty easily. Whyfocus on the defensive side of the ball,
and that's what I kind of seehere. I think it's going to
be an overtype game regardless of who'sin right, we see fast paced.
Both of these teams play a fastpaced Hawks are six in the league and
off sorry top ten in pace apost All Star break. This is this

(09:24):
is a situation. Like I said, I think typically bench players come in
and they really focus on just tryingto put numbers up, and that's the
type of game I see here witha whole bunch of G League players.
Matt, what are your thoughts onthis one? Would you look at a
total or props or anything on thisone? Yeah, and in this spot,
like we kind of talked about beforethe show, this is one of

(09:46):
those games that I probably will notbe touching, you know, Like,
like we've talked about, the AtlantaHawks do have a good amount to play
for here. You know, there'sthree games left in the season. They're
currently in eighth place and they're tiedwith the Toronto Raptors who are sitting in
ninth place currently, and then stillthe Heat are in seventh. They're two
games back from the Miami Heat.So yeah, the Atlanta Hawks definitely have

(10:07):
a good amount to play for.But for me, you know, with
the absence of DeAndre Hunter, Ithink that's a big thing here. He's
one of those guys. He's apoint scorer for them, he's a solid
defender for them. And then inaddition to that, the potential absence of
Trey Young can be big as well. If Trey Young did play, I
know he's been playing absolutely terrible, but I would have to take a look

(10:28):
at his props tonight. You know, he's missed his number three times in
a row. You guys know,I like taking those guys after they've missed
a certain amount of times, takingthem in that bounce back. You know,
the Washington Wizards not a great defensiveteam. In addition to that,
so if Trey Young did suit up, I would definitely be taking a look
at his prop And if Trey didplay, then potentially I would take a

(10:48):
look at the Hawks. This willnot be an official play for me or
anything along those lines. I justthink at this point in time, this
whisby shut down and then you're leftwith Daniel Gafford at the centered position and
he's going to be going again.Clint Cappella guys like John Collins. You
know, if there's one thing aboutthis Atlanta Hawks team, they are big.
So that is one advantage that Iwould give them. But without Trey

(11:09):
Young, you don't really exactly havethat pick and roll with that mid range
floater or that floater over the defenderto Clint Cappella for the alley, you
stuff like that because de Jontay Murray'spick and roll game is a little bit
different. It's not exactly that ofTrey Young. So for me, again,
if Trey Young did play, Iwould take a look at him.
Maybe the Atlanta Hawks, I wouldneed more players to be declared in.

(11:31):
But to your guys point, youknow, if someone like Bogdanovitch Sits,
who comes off the bench, he'sa guy who can really help, you
know, he gives you twenty fiveminutes, he can potentially come in get
you fifteen points. Without that, you're looking at guys like Sadique Bay.
You're looking at guys like Jalen Johnson, A J. Griffin. You know,
guys who are a little more upand down. And then when you
compare and contrast the two teams, you know, guys like AJ Griffin,

(11:52):
Jalen Johnson. They're pretty similar tothose backups who are going to be coming
in for the Washington Wizards. Sofor me, without guys like Trey Young
being declared in and playing in thisgame, I can't really make a make
an official pick here, but Iwould be looking at Trey Young props.
For me, this game is apass, but I guess I'd be with
the Hawks if anything. Yeah,I think your spot on with Sadiq Bay.

(12:16):
I think the usage if if theHawks really are are just accepting the
fact that they're they're locked in fora play in spot, they could sit
some of these guys here and justrest them up for the remainder of the
season. If that happens, Ithink Sadique Bay might be one of the
guys that they don't sit right. They'll sit Trey, they'll sit the john
Say, they'll sit Bogdanovich obviously, who have been downgraded. Bay, I
think would have the most usage outof everyone. I think Jayalen Johnson would

(12:39):
be the second guy there. SoI think you know when for the most
part, when we get these latedowngrades or late out statuses for players,
they typically take down the line froma full game perspective and then move to
the player props. I would say, move quickly on Sadique Bay if anything
happens. I think his points propwould be the way to go there.

(13:00):
All right, let's move on tothe next game. Here. We got
the Grizzlies and the Pelicans. Grizzliesfifty and twenty nine on the season.
Seems like they're still trying to gofor that number one spot here, for
there are only two games behind theNuggets with three games left. A second
lego back to back games here, coming off of the win over the Blazers
last night, first of a threegame road trip to close out the regular
season. As well, it seemslike they played heavier minutes than they want

(13:22):
to yesterday. Blazers kind of stuckaround for a little bit. Pelicans forty
and thirty nine in the West, currently sitting eighth there in the West standings,
but only one game behind the Clippersand the Lakers, who are sixth
and seventh respectively. Second lego backto back games coming off of that loss
to the King's last night, thirdgame of a four game homestand as well,

(13:45):
injury perspective, Steven Adams is out. Brooks's questionable. He sat out
yesterday. I think he might beplaying today. That will show us,
you know, how important these lastthree games are for the Grizzlies if they
continue to go for that number onespot on the Pelican side, Zion and
Alvarado continue to be out for thePelicans. Other than that, I don't
see anyone on the injury report matchupperspective Grizzlies on the series matchup two one

(14:07):
Grizzlies one of the most recent matchupone sixteen one oh one. Man,
this one is tough. It seemslike there's a lot more to fight for
on the Pelicans side, right Andyou know, I think one of the
biggest things that I saw was justthe fact that the Pelicans were five point
favorites in this situation. So theline to me is telling me the Pelicans
might be the side. You know, what are you guys the thoughts on

(14:28):
this one, Matt, Let's gowith you first. Yeah, Ron,
I'm with you here. You know, I do think the Pelicans might be
the side here. You know, this is the spot where the Grizzlies are
traveling on the road to face offagainst the Pelicans. The Grizzlies have one
against the Pelicans in their past twoSo it is a little bit of revenge
narrative here. And you know lastnight that Grizzlies gave full run to John

(14:50):
Morant, Desmond Baine, and JarenJackson while Dylan Brooks missed. So if
you go back and look at someof the trends with the Memphis Grizzlies in
the second night of a back toback, they like to shut down guys
like John Morant, Desmond Baine,Jaren Jackson, and I think this could
be a spot where those guys actuallyget shut down. And to your point,
Ron, I think Dylan Brooks isthe one who plays and for me,

(15:11):
you know, because of that, this would be a Pelican spot.
You know, you always have thatinjury replacement theory and things like that.
And a guy that I would definitelybe looking to tonight if upgraded to the
starter, would be Tias Jones.I think Tyas Jones can pick up the
slack a little bit. I thinkhe can get some assists. He's a
guy who when he's hot, hecan hit some three point shots. He
attacks the basket well. So heis someone that I would be looking to

(15:31):
tonight because personally, I don't thinkJohn Morant is going to play. You
know, they can still potentially getfirst place, but they're very secure with
their spot in second. There's nota ton of a lot of stuff would
have to develop. The Nuggets wouldhave to lose I believe, all of
their games for Memphis to potentially getthat number one spot. So it is

(15:52):
a long shot. I think theycould proceed on the side of caution here,
and again, the Pelicans desperately needthis game. You know, the
Pelicans are currently in eighth place. They're one game ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves
and one and a half games aheadof the OKC Thunder So again, a
lot to play for. They're athome here, and again, just a
big spot. And when you lookat this Memphis Grizzlies team, Memphis hasn't

(16:12):
played that good on the road, even when they have all of their guys.
They're fifteen and twenty three straight upon the road, thirteen twenty four
and one against the spread. Ontop of that, and you know,
this is a Pelicans team who's comingoff a loss to the Sacramento Kings.
They're still playing very good basketball. They've won eight of their last ten games.
Again, this is going to bethe hungrier team here. This is

(16:33):
going to be the team that needsthis game more. And we've talked about
that on this show a lot,and to end the season, that's what
I've been going with, you know, I've been I've been betting on those
teams that I believe are hungrier, the teams that need to win more and
more desperate. I think that's thePelicans here. So another guy to take
a look at is obviously brandon Ingram. Brandon Ingram's played incredible basketball right now.

(16:53):
A lot of the prop lines arevery sharp, so I'm kind of
going with a different strategy, andso I don't know probably on Ingram,
but I do believe he will goout have a good game. Definitely an
option for same game parlays, thingsof that nature. But for me,
I would actually be backing the Pelicanshere. I feel pretty comfortable with this
play at this point in time.Yeah, I mean, if you look

(17:15):
at from a trench perspective, we'regonna go to Jeff here soon, and
I know he likes the SDQL stuff, so maybe he'll be talking about some
of these things as well. Butif we look at the Grizzlies posted all
Star Break, specifically as road dogs, they're owe and five straight up one
and four against the spread. TheGrizzlies also owe and ten straight up to
an eight against the spread as roaddogs versus teams was a lesser win percentage

(17:37):
average full game margin in those tengames minus seventeen. It just really it
seems like post All Star Break thatthey're a little bit different. Obviously,
I think one of the huge thingsme and Matt talked about before the show
was the effect of Steven Adams andhow much they're missing him. But from
the Pelicans side, they're much betterdefensively post All Star break. I think
they're actually first in defensive rating thelast ten games. Maybe maybe a post

(18:02):
Altar break in general, but thelast tame ten games specifically, I know
the number one in the league indefensive rating. They also do much better
defensively at home than on the road. They allow one fifteen point one per
game on the road, but onlyone or nine point five at home.
So to me, I think thedefensive shows up here for the Pelicans.
I think they get it done here. Really, Like I said, not
sure where the Grizzlies mindset is asfar as going for that number one spot.

(18:26):
I do think that the Pelicans gota lot more to play for here
in the avoid the chance of theplay ins, and and they're still you
know, technically not mathematically out.So I'll take the Pelicans here minus the
points. What are your thoughts onthis one, Jeff, Yeah, you
know you said it. I didlook at a little stq O. I
thought it was interesting from a differentperspective though. There's actually four games on

(18:51):
the card today that have both teamsplaying on the second leg of a back
to back. This one's one ofthe ones included and home favorite this year
when both teams are off on thesecond legs of back to backs, they're
twenty five and six straight up,but they're just seventeen and fourteen against the
spread. So those home favorites arewinning the games, but they're struggling to
cover. But you know, I'msure Matt was watching that Sacramento New Orleans

(19:17):
game. I know he likes hisSacramento gigs and yesterday, you know that's
I think that's a game that thisPelicans team is definitely looking to bounce back
from. I mean, they allowedover fifty percent shooting for the second time
in the last two weeks they lostby eighteen points as a straight up favorite.
So not only do they have somethingto play for in terms of the

(19:37):
postseason and the playoffs that are comingup, but I also think that there's
just something to play for based offof their performance that they put up the
last game. I mean, losingby eighteen points is a three and a
half point favorite. You know,it doesn't really matter what the situation is.
That's not when you want to youwant to recreate or you know,
repeat in the next game. Butthese two teams actually have met since I

(20:00):
believe New Year's Eve, and NewOrleans lost that game by fifteen points.
They were playing in Memphis. Theyhad a tough outing in that one,
and you know, nobody really knowsobviously now with the play in situation exactly
who these teams are going to endup playing in the first round. But
this could potentially be a first Idon't know if we still call it the

(20:22):
first round if you consider the playin games the first round, but it
could be the first legitimate round youknow, match up in the West.
So not only does this have impactin terms of seating and ranking now,
but I think it has something tobe said about if these two teams meet
again potentially next week to kick offthe postseason. Yeah, that's a plenty

(20:45):
of good points there as far asthis game. Real quick, I just
got the official status is for theWashington players. I know we just talked
about that game, but Bill Kuzma, Morris right, and pazingis all out.
So we expected it was. Youknow, they weren't officially out,
but just right now they have beenchanged two out. But yeah, I

(21:07):
think I think a plenty of goodpoints on that game there. We do
have one more here, Lakers andthe Clippers, the last game up for
us to talk about. Lakers fortyone thirty eight on the season, the
Clippers also forty one and thirty eight. They're tied for the record, but
the the tiebreaker is towards the Clippershere, so they're currently six and the
Lakers are seventh, which is stillin the playing spot on a four game

(21:33):
winning streak here for the Lakers secondlego back to back games come up,
that ot win over the Jazz lastnight, definitely didn't want that to happen
if they were gonna play hard tonight against the Clippers, technically last of
a five game road trip, butobviously they're in LA to play the Clippers
here. The Clippers also forty oneand thirty eight on the season uh sits
six in the because of the tiebreaker. Like mentioned, currently on a

(21:55):
two game losing streak. Haven't playedsince the loss to the Pelicans on Saturday,
so very much more rested than thisLakers squad. Um, Yeah,
do you have anything that? Andwow, that's a good point. I
didn't realize they hadn't played. Yeah, and from from an injury perspective,
you know, we we saw lastnight. Delo, a d and Lebron

(22:17):
were all uncertain. After the game, they mentioned that they weren't sure if
they were gonna play. But itseems like a key game here for them.
They need to. I would assumethey played tonight as regardless of how
many minutes they played. Marcus Morrison, Eric Gordon questionable for the Clippers here
tonight. But Paul George obviously thekey player that we want to focus in
on the Clippers side. He's continuedto be out from a matchup perspective,

(22:41):
Like I said, the Clippers ownthe season series three zero games are two
and one to the under as well, but all games were prior to the
trade deadline, and we know howmuch of a different team this Lakers is.
Lakers squad is after the All StarBreak and the trade deadline. Clips
don't have Paul George this time either, and he was he played all three
game games. Matt, I mean, well, what are your thoughts on

(23:02):
this one? Paul George is justa huge impact of this Clippers team.
But then the Lakers are are runninghot right now? What are your thoughts
on this one? Do you expectthese key guys to play for the Lakers?
Yeah? Ron, you you definitelybrought up a lot of really good
points here. You know, bothteams are forty one and thirty eight on
the season, and this is probablythe biggest game of the season for both
teams. You know, the Clippersare currently in sixth place, they own

(23:26):
the tiebreaker over the Lakers, andyou know, neither team wants to lose
this spot because the Clippers can gointo the play and Tournament. The Lakers
are currently in the play in Tournamentand obviously if you're in that, you
have a chance of missing the playoffs. And to me, you know,
you kind of added on to ita little bit too, like like I
said, I didn't even realize theClippers hadn't played since Saturday, And I
think the Clippers do have an advantagehere and a lot of this has to

(23:48):
do with last night. You know, the Lakers went to overtime in Utah.
You know, Utah is a toughplace to play. You know,
guys like Anthony Davis, Dennis Schroeder, Austin Reeves, ausa forty two minutes,
Lebron James saw thirty eight minutes ontop of that, and now they're
traveling from Utah back to la Obviouslythis isn't a road game. The Lakers
will probably even have more fans inthe stands for this matchup. But this

(24:11):
is one of those spots where Iexpect this game to remain close, and
once we hit maybe towards the endof the third quarter, starting the fourth
quarter, I think we're going topotentially see the Clippers start pulling away.
Because for me, at this pointin time, you know, again,
the Lakers are playing great basketball. They've won four games in a row.
The Clippers have lost two in arow. So again, I think there's
more urgency out of this Clippers team. But right now, with this Lakers

(24:34):
team, like the engine that makesthis team go is Anthony Davis. I've
said this from day one. Iknow Lebron is a huge factor as well,
but where this Lakers team goes,in my eyes, it's going to
be where Anthony Davis takes him becausehe is the one in that middle who
shuts down the opposing team trying toget to the paint. He's their shot
blocker, he's their rim protector, their number one rebounder, a little bit

(24:56):
of everything. And in this spot, you know, the Clippers have both
Vichya Zuboch and Mason Plumley, andyou know, in terms of Zubox,
he's not the best defender in theworld at all, but he's a big
body. He can at least gethis hands up. He can just rub
things a little bit, and thenif he gets in foul trouble, it's
not even that big of a dealbecause then Mason Plumley comes in, another
big body with long arms, moveshis feet pretty well. So I think

(25:17):
the key is shutting down Anthony Davis. And actually the matchup that I'm looking
to here is actually going to beRussell Westbrook verse potentially De'angelo Russell. If
de'angelo Russell does in fact suit up, you know, because D'Angelo Russell coming
in, he's going to be thosefresh legs for the Los Angeles Lakers.
He's going to be the one goingup against Russell Westbrook and having the ability

(25:38):
to knock down some shots, createsome opportunities with his assist game, things
of that nature. So I actuallythink those two are a very key matchup
tonight because obviously Kawhi is going tobe matched up on Lebron James Vanderbilt is
going to be on Kawhi, Sothe two that are going to have the
best matchup will be Westbrook and de'angelRussell. Again, given that D'Angel Russell
suits up, So for me,once those prop lines dropped for Daniel Russell,

(26:03):
definitely going to take a look there. I'll look at the points.
I'll look at the points plus assists, maybe just assist alone as well,
because I do think this is asolid spot for him. And then you
also have to remember, I mean, we all know Russell Westbrook was on
the Lakers. That was not amatch made in heaven. He's probably a
little bitter there, and I wouldassume he wants to come out and maybe
get a little revenge once again,So I do expect Russell Westbrook to play
hard again. Paul George has beenout, Eric Gordon is out, so

(26:27):
you're giving some of these other guysmore volume, shot opportunities, minutes,
things of that nature. But forme, you know, this is a
Clippers spot. I think this isa spot where the Clippers will get it
done. I think the Lakers dohave some tired legs here. You know,
guys like Lebron aren't getting any younger, so this could affect him down
the stretch. Anthony Davis, Ithink has a tougher matchup, And although

(26:48):
I think this is going to bea very solid competitive game that remains close,
maybe up until the fourth quarter,I personally see the Clippers pulling away
in the end. So I wouldactually be backing the Clippers in the spot.
Yeah, I mean, man, there's a lot of great points there.
Obviously, the rest advantage is hugehere on the Clippers side. What
are your thoughts on this one,Jeff. Do you see the Lakers actually

(27:11):
having a little bit more motivation thanthe Clippers or are we seeing kind of
the same from both teams here. This is a really key game here.
I'm expecting a playoff atmosphere type ofgame. Typically, I like looking at
those unders in that type of styleof play. But I think you were
kind of talking before the show hereyou might be looking towards the other way.
Yeah, you know, I gotI got a couple of books on

(27:33):
this game. I think this isan interesting game, no question. I
got my best bet for the show. I do have a premium play actually
on the total here tonight. I'mlooking at that over. But you know,
I don't know if you want tojump in on this or if we
want to roll it over into thebest bet section. But I mean I
am looking at the Clippers here tonight, and it is gonna be my best

(27:53):
bet too. Actually, But youknow, loosing back to back, I
think that this injury management that we'vebeen talking about all year is really going
to prove vital in this game tonight. You know, I wouldn't put all
my eggs in with the Lakers becauseat this point, you got three guys
on this Lakers team that there areno question You're trying to keep healthy Lebron

(28:15):
A, d and Dalo, noquestion. And I think right now this
Lakers team is just looking to makeit into the playoffs. You know,
there was a I think there wasa time in this season that we were
even questioning if Lebron was even goingto make it to the postseason again this
year. And yeah, they've definitelyturned things on this Lakers or this Clippers

(28:36):
team though excuse me, ten andoh straight up in the last three years
against the Lakers, they're nine andone against the spread over three year span.
And you know, I did lookreal quick Lakers or excuse me,
Clippers three and one straight up andagainst the spread when they have at least
two or more days of rest overtheir opponent. So they've definitely to wise

(29:00):
that rest advantage. And I thinkthat that, you know, the questionable
markers that we see on the Clippersguys, that we could start seeing some
of them back here and start seeingsome real minutes. And to Matt's point,
I my thought process is similar towhere he is. This isn't a
game I'm touching in the first half. I'll tell you that I don't like
NBA first half as much personally anyway, But I think that this game's nack

(29:23):
and knack up until about the halfhalfway point, and then we start seeing
that depth and the longevity of theClippers team really start to be able to
peek out there. You know, not only is it a back to back,
but you guys mentioned it a longback to back for the Lakers when
you count their game last night, and it was a win that they were
supposed to win, you know,by a long shot. They were a

(29:45):
double digit favorite at a point andthey only ended up beating Utah by two.
So they're coming back, you know, last leg on the road,
if we want to call it that. But you know, I do kind
of think that the Lakers are alittle bit and look at head mode almost
and looking towards that playoffs, andyou know, I think that securing their
spot in at least the play intournament is obviously essential. But I think

(30:10):
that in my opinion, the Clippersare playing a little bit more for now
and the Lakers are playing a littlebit more for the postseason. I think
they fell into a couple of winsthat you know, that may not have
been anticipated to go towards the Lakersmore or less. And you know,
the Clippers are coming off at twoback to back losses, and I think
that this is the point to proveit, especially when you could have some

(30:33):
questionable games coming up. Obviously,Portland in their next game isn't going to
be their biggest task, you know, their hardest task of the season,
and this could be one of thebig games that you got something to prove
and putting your best foot forward againstthe Lakers going into the postseason with the
only real game of meaning left beingto close out the season against Phoenix,

(30:55):
and you know, obviously we'll seeat that point what Phoenix is putting into
the wine up and who they're sittingand whatnot in the last game of the
year. But potentially this could bereally the Quippers last big shot to go
down swinging and to make a namefor themselves before the postseason. So I
expect them to come out hot.I expect the Lakers to keep it close

(31:15):
in the first half, but Ido expect them to pull away, and
I expect a statement win here tonightout of the Quippers. Yeah, I
think you're I think you're kind ofspot on as far as you know,
staying away from the first half andthen taking maybe me focusing in on the
Clippers in the second half, becauseobviously the second lego back to back games,
it would probably get you know, the Lakers will probably get tired more

(31:37):
towards the end of the game thanin the middle than in the beginning.
So I think it makes sense thatyou say that the Lakers are able to
stay close early and then maybe theClippers take advantage of the rest of the
way there. Um, this one'stough for me just because I don't I
don't know the motivation on both sidesthat they could both be trying to get
it for that sixth spot. Imean, if the Lakers are gonna do
that, they're gonna put all theireggs in the basket, like you know,

(31:59):
in this game here specifically, justbecause it's such a key game as
far as whether they want to bein the planes or be locked into the
playoffs. From a total perspective,I think I think you were kind of
looking towards the over there. Onething that I did look at from the
over perspective is the revenge angle forthe Lakers post All Star break, seven
and three to the over in thosegames, averaging a combined score of well

(32:21):
over one thirty, sorry, twothirty in those games there. Offensively,
they just kind of turned it aroundafter the All Star Break, but definitely,
definitely, that's look there on theLakers. Sorry, the Clippers side
minus three and a half, especiallyif if you feel like the Lakers are
going to sit anybody, it's betterto take the Clippers now than later,
because obviously the number is gonna switchup. Matt, what is your best

(32:43):
bet for todays show? Also talkto the people about what you got going
on over at the unsports moment.Yeah, guys, right now over at
sports Memo, I have three playsloaded. You know, we're on a
four and one week right now.Like I said, just coming off that
four percent two dollars Tuesday, whenI don't know if I have any four
percents or anything along those lines today, but do have three plays loaded,
feeling very good about it. Andtoday's best bet is probably someone you're not

(33:06):
expecting, but it's going to beKevin Herder over thirteen and a half points
for the Sacramento Kings. So rightnow, the Kings are heading out on
the road to face off against theDallas Mavericks. And this is a spot
where the Kings are also in aback to back after beating the New Orleans
Pelicans on the road. So theybeat the Pelicans they're packing up. They're
heading right to Dallas to face offagainst Luca and Kyrie Irving. And this

(33:28):
is a spot for the Kings whereyou know, guys like Deer and Fox
got full run, Guys like DemantaSabonis got full run. And this King's
team is forty eight and thirty oneon the season with three games left.
They have no chance really of movingfrom their third place position, moving up
or down. And because of this, you have to wonder how Mike Brown
and the Sacramento Kings are going totreat this spot. And for me,

(33:51):
I actually think they might sit Deerand Fox and Demanta Sabonis. So what
does that mean? You know,I think guys like Kevin Herder come in
and fill that role. Last night, Kevin Hurder only got twenty two minutes
when he was facing the Pelicans. So it made me somewhat think that Mike
Brown is actually saving him for thisspot tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. And

(34:12):
for the Dallas Mavericks, they arein tenth place right now, so they're
still fighting for playoff contention, tryingto get into that play in tournament.
And this is a Dallas Mavericks teamwhere over their last three games, they
have given up a hundred and twentyfive points per game, so not playing
much defense at all, Kevin Hurderwill probably matched up against guys like Kyrie
Irving and Tim Hardaway Junior, twoguys that really aren't that great on defense.

(34:37):
And if Demanto Sabonis does not play, then that means Alex lenn is
most likely going to play. AndAlex Linn is still a very good player
in terms of the pick and roll. He's a very big body, so
he's tough to get around. Itallows Kevin Hurder to pull up from that
three point line, go to themid range, get some of those shots
up as well. So for me, I do I think Kevin Hurder is
going to go over this thirteen anda half point line tonight? You know,

(35:00):
with Mike Brown, you know heis going to proceed on the side
of caution here. But there couldeven be something in terms of a bonus
if this King's team hits the fiftywin mark. But with this King's team,
they are also so deep. Youknow, even if they sit Fox
and Sabonis, you still have guyslike Malik Monk, you have guys like
Kevin Herder, of course, KeeganMurray, Harrison Barnes, Davion Mitchell,

(35:21):
you are still very capable of goingout and still competing and potentially even upsetting
this Grizzlies team. So for me, I still really do like Kevin Herder.
I think it's a great spot forhim tonight. I think he picks
up the volume slack an opportunity ifin fact Fox and Sabonis sit, and
even if they played, thirteen anda half is a low number. We've
seen Herder go way over this.So for me, it's Kevin Herder over

(35:43):
thirteen and a half points tonight.I like it. I like it a
lot. I'm going to be doinga player prop as well for my best
man. I'm looking at Quinton Grimesfor the New York Knicks tonight. I
actually get this out there clients.Last night at thirteen and a half over
thirteen and a half points, nowwe're seeing at sixteen and a half.
Obviously, the news of Brunton beingofficially out helps. I did put that
in my breakdown as well, assumingthat the Knicks pretty much locked into their

(36:07):
spot so far, so for theplayoffs, I was expecting, you know,
obviously, Randall's already out. Bartis already dealing with the illness.
Brunton. He's probably the key guyhere that they want to keep healthy to
go into these playoffs. So Iwas assuming he was either gonna sit or
be limited in minutes today, andobviously they chose to just sit him in

(36:28):
general. So this number has movedfrom thirteen and a half to sixteen and
a half. I still like itat that sixteen and a half number when
I was doing my breakdown yesterday, that that thirteen and a half number that
we saw last night, he's goneover that in six straight games. At
the current number sixteen and a half, he's gone over in four of the
last six. And now we gotlike a street cleaner walk driving by while
I talk about this game here. But at the current number of sixteen and

(36:51):
a half, he's gone over infour of the last six. I think
he gets a lot of usage tonight. All four games he went over,
he went over twenty points. Ieven mentioned that in my breakdown last night.
I feel like he's gonna get thereagain tonight. I also think he's
gonna hit over um three plus threepointers tonight. Just usage all over the
place for Grimes here I think alot of people are gonna transition strictly straight

(37:12):
to quickly, but I think hisnumber is kind of um, I think
his number is high up there.I think there's a lot more value here
on the sixteen and a half fourGrimes. I feel like he's gonna he's
gonna be one of those guys thatthey need as far as like y U
key role players going into the playoffs. You got you got big name players
like Brunson and Randall and Jared Barrettsorry that are gonna go into the playoffs

(37:36):
that people are gonna focus in onhim. I think the Knicks really want
uh Grimes to have some momentum goinginto the playoffs because I feel like he's
one of their best three point shootersthere quickly quickly. Obviously he's a scorer,
but I think they want him tobe in in that role of sort
of facilitating a little bit more andhopefully they work on that for the last
part of the season and um Grimesbe the benefactor that the big usage going

(38:00):
to Grimes with Brenton out. Butthat said, guys I have that was
like I said, that's one ofmy premium players. I gave it out
at thirteen and a half. Istill do like it at sixteen and a
half. I do believe he's gonnahit over the twenty mark. So if
you like to ladder things, thatmight be the way to go there.
Um. I did give out abaseball play, but unfortunately it was the
early game. I think it's delayedthough, so if they haven't even started,

(38:22):
But that was one of the playsthat I gave out for the for
baseball as well the MLB. Mana lot of stuff going on right now.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
