(01:53):
With that said, let's get Tonyup here with me today. It's a
true triple double today, just meand you, Tony talking about three games
here. Um, how's the how'sthe NBA been treating you towards the latter
part of this regular season? Well, it's been a pretty good last two
nights, so I haven't I've playedno sides, no totals. I've done

(02:16):
all props and h seven props.Had four props, UM four props.
What was today's four props on Wednesday? Three props last night? UM six
and one on those seven, sopretty good. So you know, I
take I'd take it every day.Yeah, absolutely. And the one I
missed was a was a flyer actuallyon Ronald was a thirty five plus on

(02:39):
Irving. Irving if he scored thirtyfive plus points and paid I think it
was I think it was five eightywas the payout on that? And and
uh he just scored forty one,as you know. And and I also
had the big play had was overtwenty five and a half. He comes
home with what thirty one? Soso I'll take those every day. Yeah.

(03:00):
Yeah, It's been interesting to tryand take on these props as we
see a lot of key players, you know, missing from the roster here,
I mean just kind of the restdays, the injury management as they
try to stay healthy going into theplayoffs. So definitely the prop side of
things are the way to go,seems like towards the end of the season
rather than focusing on where the motivationis on the for these teams. But

(03:21):
maybe we see some spots here today. We got three games on the slate
that we want to talk about.First, one up Grizzlies and the Bucks.
Here. Grizzlies coming off of theot loss to the Pelicans. Their
current scenario is that they got atThey can lock in the number two spot
as long as they win one ofthe last two games or the Kings lose
one of their last two games. The only way they can drop to the

(03:42):
number three spot in the West isif they lose both of their final games
and the Kings win both of theseof theirs, this is a second game
of a three game road trip toclose out the season for them. They
do have the Thunder on Sunday. The Bucks. They've they've locked in that
number one spot in the East. They're on a nice three game winning streak
as well. This is their lasthome game of the season, but they
have a whole bunch of guys outalready listed Drew's gone, Drew's out,

(04:06):
Middleton, Janie Grayson, Allen Connaton, and Brook Lopez. They're all out.
So obviously, this being the lasthome game of the regular season doesn't
mean too much for them. Theyjust want to go into the playoffs healthy.
On the opposite side, uh NoAdams still, Zaire Williams and Laravia
are are are out as well.Uh Santi al Dama is questionable but likely

(04:28):
to sit. From what I lastseen matchup perspective, Grizzlies one and covered
the first matchup by margin. Itwas one forty two, one on one
win in Memphis. Only key personmissing for the Bucks was Drew, so
they really just dominated that game.Today they have nobody in the from the
starting lineup available on the buckside. Is this a Grizzlies or nothing type of

(04:49):
look for you? Tony? Whatare your thoughts on this game? Well,
you know what on Wednesday? Andwas Wednesday earlier this week? I
think it was Wednesday. I likedMilwaukee in a situation. They were laying
wood, they were laying wood, they were laying thirteen. Um, I
think it was against Washington if I'mnot mistaken. But when you started talking

(05:09):
about Milwaukee, I've really have backedaway and sh shied from pushing in on
them because of coach Bud and beinga disciple of Popovic and the way he
used to handle, we can goback when when San Antonio it was it
was just wasn't transparent. Ronald theLeague finally got on coach Pop for that

(05:30):
and and said, listen, youcan't rest these stars, because actually it
was the fans that were complaining becausethey came to see the stars, and
Pop had no problem. He justhe just rest them. Whether it be
a back to back, it wasrandom as could be, but they were
good enough that they could rest someplayers and they'd still they were still gonna
be in the playoffs and they werestill gonna be probably the favorites to win

(05:51):
the whole thing. Back at thatpoint in time. I felt that way
about Milwaukee until last week. Ithought, well, here's here's the game.
They're gonna win, and they didwin if they went in by twelve,
but I laid thirteen. So inthis situation, it's absolutely the Grizzlies.
I like the way the Grizzlies areplaying despite the fact that they've been
playing without Morant and they've been playingwithout some of their key pieces. But

(06:15):
this is a young club, verycompetitive, you know, whether it whether
it be Morant or whether it betheir cast of characters. They typically they
typically want to compete in in fact, they don't want to just compete,
They want to beat your brains inand embarrass you. So for me,
for me, it's it is thegrizz In these kind of situations, I

(06:38):
would lean to the grizz even thoughit's a you know, nothing burger situation
for them. Yeah, I knowthe line has gone from six and a
half to eight for them for theGrizzlies here. As far as being your
favorite here, both teams really beenstruggling to cover that spread lately. But
like you, I can only looktowards the Grizzlies side. It seems like

(06:58):
the Bucks really just want to gointo the playoffs healthy. Here. None
of the key players are playing,So one thing that I would probably look
at more it would be the firstquarter or the first half for the Grizzlies
here. Maybe they just kind of, like you said, dominate early with
the key players playing, especially ifJaw does, you know, in fact
play this game. I just don'tknow where the motivation is right because they

(07:18):
they're almost they're pretty much locked inhere in that second spot. And you
know, for me, maybe theysit somebody, maybe they don't, or
maybe they win this game here becausethey know that they have to win at
least one of them to really lockthat in, right, because they can't
lose both, right. So tome, that's probably the way that I

(07:39):
go the first quarter first half overhere. If Jah does play, they
dominate their first quarter first half, and maybe they sit in the second half,
and that's where the chance of maybea backdoor cover on the buckside.
But for the most part, Ican only look towards the Grizzlies. If
you look at maybe from a properperspective, all those guys out for the
Bucks, maybe look towards Joe Inglesor Javon Carter on their pira or threes.

(08:01):
That's probably where a lot of theusage is gonna go. I know
Portis, Everyone's gonna really gravitate towardsPortis, But for me, I feel
like his numbers, once they becomeavailable, are going to be really,
really inflated because both Lopez and Jannisare out. So I'd probably stay away
from Portis today. I've been actuallyriding him the last week or so.
Like you, I've been doing alot of player props towards the end of

(08:24):
this season with the double digit linesand and some of the key players sitting
in portis is one of the guysthat I targeted, But today I have
a feeling it's gonna be really inflatedthere. The other way that I was
looking at two from the Grizzly sideis unders for Morant. Like I said,
maybe he starts off the game reallyhot and then you know, with
a high number of high pira,he doesn't play the second half and he

(08:46):
stays under right, if this isa blowout game, why I play him
in the second half. So maybean underlook in that one as well.
Next game up here Warriors and theKings. Warriors are looking to avoid the
play in a playoff like going intothe players with a win here, so
playoff positioning is key in this gamehere. For the Warriors, I also

(09:07):
think that they rather rather play theKings in the first round than the Sun,
so that's also something interesting to lookat. This is pretty much I
feel like the West right now.If you look from the fifth to the
eleventh spot, it's pretty much uncertainat at this current moment. Even at
the tenth and eleventh spot you gotthe Thunder and the MAVs fighting for that
one. So the West is reallykind of a crap shoot right now for

(09:31):
that fifth, fifth to eighth spot. This is the first of a two
game road trip for them to closeout the season. Kings, Um,
they're they're not completely locked into thatnumber two spot yet they have to win
both and the Gris have to loseboth for them to move down to the
three spots. So as long asthey win one of these they should be
good to go. Uh They're comingoff of the loss to the MAVs on

(09:52):
Wednesday. This is the last regularseason home game for them in Sacramento.
They faced the Nuggets in Denver toclose out the regular season here. Uh
Iggy Wiggins are out for the Warriors. Laundry list for the King, zoh
Lyles Sabonis or Hurd, Fox,Monk, Mitchell Murray all questionable for tonight's
game. So really tough to toreally put a bet on this game at

(10:13):
a current moment with all those questionmarks here. Warriors lead the season series
two one, but the Kings havecovered every game so far. But man,
like I said, the question markson the King's side make it really
hard to to make a play onthis one currently. But how would you
tackle this game, Tony? I'mUh, well, I probably just let

(10:33):
it run on buy me and scoretouchdown. I wouldn't tackle it at all.
In fact, I'm not even gonnaconsider tackling it. Um. I
think you outlined it your spot onit's perfect. It's really difficult to put
your arms around this and uh,you know, at least at least make
some you know, educated guests onwhether it's going to be an off tackle,

(10:54):
pass play or or um or adraw right. It's it's pretty It's
a pretty tough guess at that point. And for the most part, the
Kings, unless their first five's inand they're playing their typical rotations, I've
found them to be pretty inconsistent thisyear. I mean when they're listen when
Fox is playing and he's he's onand obviously Sabonis is right. It's a

(11:18):
key right free throw line, directingtraffic and really he's the one engineering the
offense. That's where he gets histriple doubles. And it was nice.
He's a great passing center, greatpassing big five can shoot, and all
of them look like to be playingFox. I think Fox would play or
could play if you want, ortwo. I think you'd see sabonus as

(11:39):
well. But I just don't thinkthat if they do play, you're gonna
have enough or at least have enoughintel on how many minutes are going to
contribute. And the Warriors really needto work on a defense a little bit.
I think if I'm gonna go somemore of this, Ronald, I'd
probably go under. I mean, they were abysmal. We talked about that
in the NBA show. I said, you know it was it was Warriors,

(12:00):
and I apologize. So I've beenlooking so many games the last few
days with baseball, and uh somesome in season props or in season futures
for for basic MLB two that whoeverwas, and I think it might have
been the Thunder. I don't knowwhoever Horrors were playing. I said,
listen, I really, if I'mgonna lean this game, gonna lean to

(12:22):
the under right. UM. Ididn't pay much tens in the game because
I had some some business in othermatchups and working on you know, the
following day, et cetera. WhenI glanced over and saw that it was
one hundred and thirty one hundred, basically, I think they reached two fifty.
Um. I started looking at themetrics. I started watching parts of
the game, the defensive matchups,et cetera, and the Warriors just they

(12:46):
looked like they were interested, butthey just looked the steps slow, and
uh, you know, if they'renot gonna play, if they can't play
defense, Roberts, this Warriors teamthey're gonna have, they're gonna struggle in
the postseason because well, I thinkwe both would agree that if you had
to lay their title on one variablethat the Golden State had last year,

(13:11):
other than Curry being really consistent,it would be that they were able to
match up with almost anyone versatile anddefend, and that the defense really is
what took them to the finals andultimately the championship. They just don't look
like that team right now, andthey haven't for you know, I'm one
of the ones we talked about thisare the gonna flip the switch and become

(13:31):
that team? Right? I've alwaysbelieve that that was something they can do.
Ronald, I'm not certain now afterseeing this last couple of weeks of
play from them. Just not certain. Yeah, I mean, obviously,
I think the news of Wiggins comingback is a plus for them. He's
not playing the rest remainder of theregular season, but at least they know
that he's working up to playing inthe playoffs. Here, to me,

(13:54):
I can only look towards the Warriorsside. I know they do have something
to play for as far as notto be in the play ins. The
interesting thing about this game here,Tony, and I want to maybe hear
from you on this take here, but they if this if the regular season
ended today, they actually would beplaying each other in the playoffs. So
one thing that you talked about, you know, the Warriors kind of flipping

(14:15):
that switch them being the more experiencedteam. Is this a situation where you
can feel like you feel like theywould just come in and kill these guys
and make a statement, you know, going into the playoffs and just kind
of kind of I don't know, like a mental mental game sort of right,
because the line here is saying it'sa minded The Warriors opened as a
five and a half point favorites, now they're nine and a half point favorites.

(14:37):
It seems like the Kings may setthese guys based on the number.
The total has gone down, sothe market agrees with you on the under.
But just from a psychological standpoint, right, going into the playoffs.
Here, the Warriors, like Isaid, the more experienced team going into
it. Can they just make thatstatement, just say, let's kill these
guys today and may and show themthat they don't have a chance when we

(14:58):
play them in the and what Ithink a lot of that depends on.
And I don't think this is agreat matchup in the postseason for the Warriors
personally. I mean, I thinkthat while I like Green while um,
I don't, I'm not I'm notso sure that in postseason play and a
physical, physical backdrop with where they'renot going to call it too many fouls.

(15:26):
How much do you like sabonas tocontrol the paint with the Kings in
that kind of a scenario, right, Um, Let's put it this way.
I'm concerned the Golden State in thismatchup. I don't think that they
they would be able to control thetemple. I don't think they'll be able
to slow the Kings down there.Maybe they don't want to. If they
don't want to, then they don't. They're not concerned with playing defense because

(15:48):
I think that's what they have. You have to do with the Kings.
I don't know, you don't wantFox, you want them. You want
to put these guys in in frontof your half court sets on defense and
make them work for the points, not not transition possessions all the time,
taking it to the rim. Andthat's what the King's like to do.
Makes a lot of sense to me. I don't know, like you,

(16:10):
I don't know where I would gowith this game as far as the side
or the total, but I wouldonly look towards the worst since they have
something to fight for. But obviously, I mean that doesn't always lead to
them covering the spread, especially withthis number being so high, so I
probably stay away from that. Butfrom a proper perspective, if for some
reason this game gets out of handand the Warriors do actually dominate this game,

(16:30):
I think Jordan Poole is one ofthe guys that would probably continue to
play heavy minutes. They will probablysit guys like Clay and Curry and Draymond
in the second half, but JordanPoole continue to play with the guys in
the bench here, so I'd probablylook towards him to get some some numbers
tonight against the Kings here. Withyou know, obviously, I don't expect
a lot of defense from them.A sort of a fast paced game,

(16:52):
but that would probably be the waythat I go if I bet anything In
that one last game up Tony,we got the Suns and the Lakers.
Suns are locked into that fourth spotright now, they don't really know who
they're going to be facing. Talkedabout that five to ten spot here that
that's really uncertain. They're currently ona seven game winning streak, so great
form for them right now, alot of it because of a great defense

(17:15):
from them. Also obviously Kevin Durantbeing mixed in there in majority of those
games. This is the second legof back to back home to road games
for them, though they head backhome to face the Clippers on Sunday to
close out the regular season. Lakers, they have a lot to fight for
here. They still have an opportunityto come out the regular season not having
to play in the playing tournament,so they probably want to win this one.

(17:37):
This is the first of a twogame homestan to close out the regular
season. They do face the Jazzon Sunday, so this is the harder
matchup of the two for them toget to win. Injury perspective, Lebron
and a D are currently questionable.Dealo is probable. On the Sun side.
The only person I see currently onthe injury report is t J.
Warren as questionable. This is gonnabe interesting to me because a second game

(18:03):
of back to back right that theSuns are locked into that fourth spot.
Do we see some guys sit heretonight? I don't know, but obviously
the injury report says nothing so farfor them. Regular season matchup. Suns
lead the regular season matchup, winningand covering two of the three matchups so
far. Lakers did win the oneafter the All Star break. Actually were
just a couple of weeks ago.Where do you go with this one?

(18:25):
Obviously, the Lakers line has movedfrom minus six to double digit favorites right
now at some books, and thetotal has come down just a point two
twenty seven and out to two twentysix and a half. What are you?
What are you looking at for thisgame? Tony Well? I like,
listen regardless of who sits, whoplays. I mean, we saw
it last night, didn't we?Where he saw the lines moved or out,

(18:49):
you know, in a dramatic fashion, away from Cleveland, away from
these teams that were locked into theirseed and we're going to essentially play their
second rotation, right, play thebackups. Um. He saw it with
listen on several shows yesterday, Isaid I couldn't, for instance, Miami,
who I like tonight. Um,I just liked Philly, even Philly

(19:10):
was a favorite. I didn't expectindeed to be playing forty minutes. But
um, with the short minutes hedid play, he was effective. But
Miami really played pretty well and Phillydidn't play any defense right. Um,
in this game, in this situation, in all these situations where the line
has moved dramatically, UM, it'sjust really hard for me not to like

(19:33):
the Suns. What they're doing rightnow and what William said. Coach Willie
said he's gonna be doing. He'snot gonna sit his guys because he feels
like with Durant being hurt for anextended period of time since since he moved
over from the Nets from from Brooklyn, and he doesn't really feel very comfortable
with this first rotation. He's firstfive. These guys don't really know where
they're gonna be at, or atleast Durant doesn't know what they're gonna be

(19:56):
at. He Durant played forty oneminutes last night. He he's gonna start
play tonight, and I'm not afraidof Durant being fatigued. My only concern
with Durrant if i'm if I'm aPhoenix backer and fan and season ticket holder,
and you know I got the futureson him, is Durrant getting hurt.
That's really the concern. Do youwant him playing him in a situation

(20:18):
where, um, it doesn't meanmuch, it doesn't count, or it's
not real for that much, Ithink for the Sons at Israel, I'm
Booker didn't play the shoot very welllast night. Um, Sons struggled to
win that game, and they didit despite playing poorly. But again there
was no Yokis, no Murray.There. There was a lot of reasons
why the Sons should have won andprobably won by double digits. They didn't

(20:40):
tonight. Um, listen, Lakers, Lakers aren't good enough defensively, They're
just I mean, I know they'vebeen better since they since they've made a
change, and they're starting starting five, and they're gonna be better with with
with Davis in the paint. Butten points and sons um is a place
that now I not only like Iactually went there. I played a couple

(21:06):
of small pizza money parlays and we'lltalk about one of those on the show
here that it includes that includes Phoenixplus the points. Yeah, I like
it. I mean, I'm withyou there. I mean the Lakers obviously
they should come out with some desperationand urgency here with them actually having something
to play for. But I justdon't understand this line at all unless the

(21:27):
Suns do sits some guys tonight. But like you, I feel like it's
more important for them to keep thismomentum and get more minutes with this starting
five you just mentioned. You know, they don't feel comfortable yet with where
people are at, especially with Kadionly having minimal like you know, minimal
games together with this roster, they'regoing to be dangerous in the playoffs,
and I think for that to reallyhappen, they got to continue that momentum

(21:48):
going into it. And I canI definitely can see them playing the last
two games here as a squad, even if it is minimum, you know,
like U managed minutes, not afull, not a full you know,
thirty six or whatever it might be. For the starters, I feel
like they're going to play the lasttwo games here and keep that momentum going
in as it stands now and whoI see currently available for the Suns,

(22:11):
There's no way I can see theLakers covering this big number, so I
would look towards the Suns as well. From a total perspective, I don't
know where to go with this one. The Sun's number one in defensive rating
last five games, while the Lakersare fourth in the offensive rating, so
that kind of just is a washfor me from the total perspective. But
definitely see the Sun side on thisone with the current number. All right,

(22:32):
Well, Tony Quick Show today,we had three games on the slate,
just me and you, and we'reoff to the best bet section.
Now, let's start here with you, what is your best bet for today's
show and talk to the people aboutwhat you got going on over at wager
talk dot com. Well, firstoff, what I have going on at
wager talk early this morning is Ihave several NBA positions prop positions that I

(22:56):
like. Unfortunately, with you know, with us being where we're at in
the schedule, um some and'll giveyou an example. It's Miami's prop There
there's a couple of guys I wantto talk. I want to basically push
in on a prop as long asthe numbers correct. Um. But before
the show, they still had nothad those Miami props up. They had

(23:17):
some, they had Washington's work up, but they did not have the Miami
players. And the same went fora couple other teams. So when I
have a waves off, nothing rightnow, but I will after the show.
Between now and the NBA show, which which goes off, I think
with four thirty four fifteen Eastern,I will have not only my MBA,
but I'll have my MLB, whichis going very well too. So,

(23:41):
um, let's talk about best best. I like the Miami Heat tonight.
Listen what they I did not likethem against Philly. They've been abysmal defensively.
They're not the same team they weretwo years ago. They're not the
same team. Uh, they're not. They don't have the same capabilities to
man up and be stingy to inensivelythis year. Butler, Listen, Butler's

(24:02):
gonna get his points, gonna gethis rebounds, He's gonna go to the
line ten twenty times a game, and he's you know, he basically gonna
lead his men. But he's notthe same defensive guy. He doesn't listen,
he's not that physical and rebounds heused to be. And I like
the way he plays. But thisteam as a whole has been really,
really bad defensively. Part of thisis lowry to being in and out and

(24:26):
et cetera, et cetera. ButI like Miami for a couple of reasons.
If you saw what they did toPhilly, shot the ball well um
and tonight against Washington they have Theylost the first game, okay, this
year to Washington. I don't itwas. They played Washington three times in
four games. If you remember Ronaldearlier in the season, I think it
was in November in that area, and they won the last two. They

(24:49):
lost the first I lost by onepoint. However, there was no band,
there was no Butler, and therewas I don't think that. I'm
not quite certain, but there anotherplayer that was absent another purse five and
they washed in one by one point. The other two Miami won. They

(25:10):
covered game two, they pushed ingame three. If you were minus three
is what they were. And thisis the fourth game, the final game,
and for the most part, Bamjust dominates against Washington. Porzingis is
not a physical type of a player. He doesn't have a nimbles. I
don't like him around the rim likeI do Bam and Bam pretty much.

(25:30):
Listen, Porzingis is gonna get histoo, like the over in this game.
But what I do is I likeMiami minus six and a half,
and I do like the over. The over right now it said right at
two eighteen, Ronald, and sofirst and foremost, Miami minus is six
and a half. I'm very comfortablewith. If you saw what they did
last night, most of their starters, most all of them only played twenty
seven to thirty one minutes. Thisincludes Bam. Bam played only twenty eighth

(25:55):
I think, and he came upshort of a double double because he didn't
get his ten rebounds. So Miamiminus six and a half and quickly some
pizza money a three leg parlay thatI like Miami being one of those minus
six and a half. I likethe over two eighteen. In this um,
neither one of these teams play muchdefense anymore. Two eighteen there's still
this is still basically the market orthe oddsmakers are believing that the market's still

(26:21):
a small piece of the pie withMiami two eighteen. Uh tell me how
many teams are under two twenty nowadays, especially later in the season. Right
now, most of the games runI like over. But the three three
leg parlay, I like, isMiami minus six and a half over the
two eighteen, and I like theSuns plus ten And you're gonna get depending
on the juice you lay, you'regonna be anywhere between a plus five ninety

(26:44):
and a plus six hundred on thatthree leg. And uh so so a
little pizza money McDonald's money and whateveryou want to call it a general twenty
even as a general twa or billright, Um, nice returning, I'll
take it. Yeah, like yeah, another thing for that, Um that
looked towards the heat here the Wizardsare probably they probably they pretty much just

(27:07):
quit on the season already. Theirwhole starting five is basically out once again
and out for the remainder of theseason basically. So definitely a nice look
there on the heat side. Theyplaying hard, The backups are playing hard.
You're right, but the coaches havesaid listen, no, the starters
are gonna play. Um, youknow, yeah, it's your worst and
that's true. Yeah, not alot of offense coming from that Wizard side.

(27:30):
There Um, they are playing afast paced though so good thing for
the Heat if they continue to playwith their fullest squad. For me,
we hit the best bet on Wednesday. We got We had a player prop
on Wednesday. We had Grimes overhis points and he went well over his
points. There Um, I likea side today, and more specifically a
first quarter side. I like theNets minus four in the first quarter against

(27:52):
the Magic today. The Nets haveto win at least one game or the
Heat have to lose one game tolock in that six spots. So they
pretty much controlled their own destiny here, and they have the sixers on deck
on Sunday, and this would bethe easier matchup to get the win in
my opinion. So I think theyfocus in and key in on this game
specifically. I think one thing thatI looked at, you know, one
thing that I looked at historically washow do heavy favorites do in the final

(28:15):
part of the season. I lookedat double digit favorite specifically in the last
three games of the regular season sincetwenty seventeen, those teams are twenty three,
sixteen and one against the spread coveringat a fifty nine percent clip,
But majority of the damage is beingdone in that first quarter, where the
average first quarter margin is around sixpoints, and we see a number at
minus four here for the Nets.So you know, not really sure what

(28:40):
to make of this Magic team. They set out a lot of guys yesterday.
I actually liked the Magic yesterday whenI thought all the starters were going
to play and then all of asudden they all just sat. So don't
know where their mindset is as faras this game goes and who's going to
be playing. But for the mostpart, I know where the Nets mindset
is, and that's for them tocome out with a sense of urgency and
desperation to start this game and dominatethat first quarter. If you look at

(29:02):
the last five games in general, they have a first quarter net rating of
plus fifteen while the Magic are minusone point three. So for me,
that first quarter is where the magicwill happen for the Nets. First quarter
minus four is my best bet fortoday's show. On the premium side,
I actually have five Baseball MLB bets. Been seeing the board well over there,
especially from a money line and runline perspective, hitting seventy percent in

(29:27):
the MLB since last July, sohopefully continue to do well there. Obviously,
the NBA, it's getting a littlebit tighter here towards the end of
the season with you know, notknowing where the mindset is for everybody.
So they did a lot of playerprops on Thursday and Wednesday and Thursday or
this week in general. But todaykind of playing light here. This NETS

(29:48):
minus four is going to be apremium play. I'm probably gonna take a
stronger look at that Sun's game aswell that you talked about, Tony,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
