let's get Matt up here with me. What is up, Matt? How
everything going well? It seems likeMatt is We'll be joining us here in
a little bit. But a coupleof things here tonight. We got the

(03:07):
Nets and the Sixers obviously two keygames here, two series game number two.
We know how the first games went. Both the home teams took care
of business tonight. I'll get startedwith this Nick Nets and Sixers game here.
From a matchup perspective, the Sixersobviously took game one one twenty one
to one oh one. Really fromthe Nets side, the only bright spots

(03:28):
where Bridges and Cam Johnson the sixers. Otherwise, they dominated on the offensive
boards. They hit the threes. They hit twenty one threes in that game.
They also created nineteen turnovers. Ichecked the nets after the All Star
break, after they turned the ballover fifteen or more times. They are
six and one to the over. They definitely turned the ball over a lot
less. In the next game, they made the proper adjustments. Their offense

(03:51):
was a bit more efficient, butthey still allowed their opponents to score over
one hundred and sixteen points per game, so their defense actually took a hit
if it just kind of turned itaround or or flipped the script. Basically,
you know, they focus on theoffensive side and then really got distracted
on the defensive side of the ball. Nets after the All Star break,
after scoring less than one hundred tenpoints eight and three to the over as

(04:14):
well again allowing over one hundred andsixteen points per game. Like I mentioned
that, they overadjust for the offenseand then start to get hit on the
defensive side of the ball. Forthis game specifically, I do think the
nets do make the proper adjustments totake care of the ball. I'm just
not too sure they can limit thesecond chance points. Is because the Sixers,
they showed how physical they are tostart that game and they couldn't overcome

(04:36):
it. A lot of I meanto to rotate different players in and in
the front court and it just stilldidn't work. The other thing to mention
too, they were able to shootfifty six percent from the field but still
lose by twenty points. I lookedat how they do following games where they
shot fifty percent or more from thefield after the All Star break, you

(04:58):
know, with their current roster fiveand Z to the under for the most
part, they ended up actually strugglingon the offensive side of the ball.
So a lot of things to mepoint to like a very inconsistent Nets squad
here. And I think the onlyway that I could look really is towards
the Sixers and the Sixers team total. Over. Matt, I think we
got you back here, But whatare your thoughts on this game? Yeah,

(05:20):
Ron, I'm very much with youon this game. You know,
we talked a little bit before theshow broke it down a little bit,
and you know, when watching thatNets and Sixers game, originally, I
was a little nervous because the Netswere playing such good basketball. They're making
a lot of outside shots, Mikecal Bridges playing unbelievable basketball, just very
efficient as well, and then CamJohnson pulling up making some outside threes.

(05:44):
Spencer did with the game people fall, but I felt this gave the Sixers
almost shot already, So that wasone of my things with it is.
Yeah, I think I think we'rehaving some technical difficulties with Matt there,

(06:05):
but I think we were talking rightbefore the show and we kind of agreed
that the physicality on the Sixers sidereally might be too much here for for
the Nets to overcome. Yeah,I talked about the Sixers team here and
I took the series. One ofthe best bets that I gave on the
show in a previous show. Ithink last week sometimes was the Sixers to

(06:27):
win this series in five and ahalf games or less. Here I still
hold true to that. Now thatI've seen how the Game one went,
I feel like they might end upjust sweeping this series in general. So
that's the way that I would lookinto this game here. One other thought
as well, from a from aprop standpoint, we know that the Nets
are probably gonna have a strong fighthere to start this game, maybe we

(06:50):
see the starters for the Sixers side, UM play heavier minutes, so we
would probably look towards some overs ontheir side in my opinion, Um,
you know, some some real obviouslythe points and rebounds from Embid. I
think the assist from James Harden wouldbe good as well. I think one
guy that that always gets seems toget overlooked is Tobias Harris. Uh,

(07:13):
maybe I look towards his pr abecause a lot of people will tend to
go towards Ebid MAXI and um andHarden as well, but they forget that
the versatility of Tobias Harris what hebrings to the table. Um, I
think we got Matt back here Gold, Uh matter, are you good?
I hope so? I know mydad's got this broke. Yeah ahead,

(07:36):
go ahead, and bunch of officesright now. That's why I'm here.
Yeah, go ahead, see ifyou get to get this one. Yeah,
I mean again, I'm with you. Ron. You know we talked
about this, uh this series beforehand. This is one of my I actually
have a five unit play right nowon the seventy six ers to cover the
series spread. It's one of myI haven't had a five year to play

(07:57):
in a couple of months, honestly, and that's how confident I feel about
the Sixers team. And you know, coming into this, we discussed the
mismatch with Joel Embiad against Nicholas Claxton, Joel Embiad against day Ron Sharp,
and the Nets truly did everything theycould. Every single time Joel Embiad touched
the basketball, he was doubled immediately. But you know, kind of like
what we said before, I feltlike this this un Brooklyn Nets team gave

(08:20):
the seventy sixers a really good shot. They were making a ton of shots.
You know, Mikel Bridges was incrediblyefficient, Cam Johnson, a lot
of those guys, and you can'texpect that from those guys every single game.
You know, Cam Johnson isn't reallya star in this league. You
know, Micael Bridges is definitely ascendingto potentially becoming a star. But other
than him, if he has anoff game, then you're relying on guys

(08:41):
like Spencer Dinwitty to step it up, Guys like Royce O'Neill, guys that
typically do not do that. Whileon the other hand, with the seventy
Sixers. There's just so many differentguys that can beat you, you know,
for one, starting with Joel Embiid, and then you have Tyrese Maxie,
who didn't even play that well inthe first half, got it going
in the second half. James Hardenwas making a ton of shots, you
know. And to your point toBias Harris off the bench, DeAndre Melton,

(09:05):
So to me, the seventy sixersteam is just far deeper. I
agree with you. I do thinkthis is going to be a sweep.
Now, originally I thought maybe theNets would get one game, but from
what I saw in Game one,I just felt like the Brooklyn Nets gave
them their best punch and the seventySixers took it no problem. Still ended
up beating them by double digits. So yeah, I'm one hundred percent with

(09:26):
you. I'm with the seventy sixersin this spot. This might be a
game where they actually start leaving Joelembeat a little more open because the first
strategy of doubling him, trapping him, getting the ball out of his hands
it did not work whatsoever. Sothey might try something a little different here.
So I might be willing to goback to Joel Embiid because I think
he might get a little more isolationbasketball than maybe in game one previous.

(09:48):
That makes a lot of sense tome as far as you know, no
longer trying to double mb But atthe same time, there's there's really nobody,
like he said, nobody can reallyhim. So if they do that,
he's gonna have a hell of agame tonight. Um. One thing
to mention too, like I liketo, you know, especially in the
playoffs, I like to look ahead, right, Like, if I expect

(10:09):
the Sixers to cover this game, win, and cover this game by margin,
I feel like the next game here, when they go back to Brooklyn,
the spread is gonna be over inflated. And we can talk about it
with this next game here too,but the spread might be over inflated to
the point where it might be agood to maybe look ahead and say,
all right, well, if wesee this number maybe like an eight or

(10:31):
something for the Nets here, Iwould probably take the Nets in Game three,
even though I think that the Sixerswin the game. So um,
that's kind of like how I lookat the playoffs. So I'm kind of
like predicting how the whole series goes. Um. And I kind of just
run with it as long as itcontinues to follow that path. So let's
up to the next game here theWarriors and the Kings. We know Iggy's

(10:52):
out for the Warriors. Here,Pool is considered questionable. He rolled his
ankle in game one, so wedon't really know if he's gonna play from
a matchup perspective. I talked aboutthis on Twitter. I did post this
on Twitter this morning. It's verytoday. This game here, specifically is
in rare territory. Flipping from ahome favorite in game one to a home

(11:15):
dog in game two is it's superrare. So it only it's only happened
one other time in the history ofthe Killer Sports Database, you know where
I run the STQL stuff, andthat goes all the way back to the
two thousand and two playoffs, Soonly one time during that span, and
it happened two years ago. Thehome team was the Suns. They won
Game one, They beat the Lakersin Game one as a home favorite,

(11:37):
and then in game two they endedup being a home dog. They ended
up losing and failing to cover thatgame by a few points. There.
Obviously, it's a one game samplesize, so it shouldn't weigh into heavily
on how we cap this game, but it's just crazy to see how rare
that situation is for teams in theplayoffs to go from home favorite to home
dog in the next one, especiallyafter winning the first game, you know

(12:00):
what I mean. So sometimes wesay stuff like, oh, the line's
telling a story and maybe that couldbe it today, But well, what
are your thoughts on this game here, Matt? Yeah, again, very
excited to watch this game. Youknow, I've talked about the Kings Warrior
series, you know, leading upto this, and I feel the game
one definitely lived up to the hype. You know, I was on the
Kings in that spot, and justto kind of recap, I know,

(12:22):
my internet cut out generally when webreak things down or go over the weekend.
Did not have the greatest weekend inthe world. I went two and
four on the weekend. Did havethe Kings as a four unit play,
so one of my heavier plays didhit with the Kings and then ended up
losing yesterday on Memphis. And onething that I want to talk about here
is with the NBA playoffs. Youknow, I will say ron that I
am on the Kings once again. You know we talked about this before.

(12:45):
I think a lot of people aregoing to look at this game where Andrew
Wiggins had a couple of open shotsat the end, should have won that
game or potentially gave the lead inthe final seconds. But I still think
it's the Kings here. You know, this is a series that I expected
to go too. Oh, Kingsto old Warriors. And there's that old
saying that a series doesn't start untila team wins on the road, and

(13:05):
I don't know if the Warriors aregoing to win on the road here.
This is still a team that waseleven and thirty on the road, and
obviously they get a much improved orimproved with Andrew Wiggins getting added back into
that lineup. But like me andyou have discussed, when you add a
player back into that lineup, moreoften than not that team does lose in
Game two might be a little differenthere, but one thing with the Sacramento

(13:26):
Kings for me is this team canbeat you in so many different ways.
Yes, Game one was zerin foxin Maliku won Malikue Monk. But Game
two, you know, I thinkSabonus is going to go out and have
a better game. Maybe Kevin Herdersteps it up. Maybe this is one
of those streaks that Deer and Foxgoes on with consecutive thirty point games.
You know, generally when he getsone, he gets another, and he
keeps it going. He's a very, very streaky player. And one thing

(13:50):
that I wanted to discuss real brieflyis say you like the Warriors in this
series. I do not like theWarriors in the series. I have Kings
in seven, but say you dolike the Warriors. And this is what
I was going to do yesterday withthe Lakers. But you could let this
Warriors team potentially go down to zerobecause in the playoffs it is very common
for a team to go down tozero and come back and win, you

(14:11):
know, especially a team of theWarriors caliber, and you're only going to
get better, like live betting oddsor series odds after they're down to oh,
you know. And that's what Iwas planning on doing yesterday with the
Lakers, because I do think theLakers are going to win that series,
and I thought they were going tolose Game one, so I was hoping
they would lose Game one. Iwas going to jump on the Lakers get
better odds and then they ended upwinning. Anyways. But for me,

(14:33):
Ron, I do like the Kingsin the spot. But like I said
earlier, if you do like theWarriors, it might not hurt you to
wait one more game and see ifthey do lose this spot again, because
again it's about an even money spread. I think the money is going to
continue to come in on the Warriorsleading to tip off. And for me,
I'm sure with the Kings. Onceagain, this is a series I

(14:54):
saw going to O two oh andthen Game five will kind of break it
down from there, and I knowwe see it a little, but I'm
with the Kings here, but interestedto see what you have to say.
Yeah, I mean I talked aboutyou know that you know how rare it
is to go from home favorite tohome dog, and maybe the line telling
the story there. But I thinkfor me, dude, I think I
think playoff experience really plays a bigrole in this series, specifically because obviously

(15:18):
the you know, the Kings gettheir first win in the playoffs and in
in a long period of time,so it's really an emotional win for them
really, and in the playoffs it'sall about how you respond to these these
types of games, right, AndI don't know if they're going to be
able to come back and play likethat type of game again once again,
because if you think about it,he had Lyles going six or eight,

(15:41):
the bench went off. You know, obviously a monk monk is usually the
guy on the bench who's pretty consistentas far as scoring. But for the
most part, I don't know ifwe can see that type of output with
that bench again in this in thisseries. I think from the Warriors perspective,
because of their playoff experience, theyknow how to adjest, they know
how to make proper adjustments and andrespond to these types of losses. I

(16:03):
looked at the Warriors. They thiscore of Green, you know, uh,
Dreymond Green. We got Clay Thompsonand Curry. They've been together since
twenty fourteen playoffs, I believe itis. So one thing that I looked
at really was how do the Warriorsrespond to losses and then they're the favorite
in the next game? They are, what is it, twenty two and

(16:26):
six straight up, nineteen and nineagainst the spread, also twenty seven and
one to the under in the playoffs. In that situation here, I think
they just they're just really good atum, you know, coming together bouncing
back here, especially when they're thefavorite, coming back as a favorite.
So I think the books kind ofsee that. Even last season there were
five and no straight up four andone against the spread in that specific spot

(16:48):
here. Obviously, when when they'rethe dog, it's a little different situation,
right, But the books know whattype of team that we're just gonna
be coming out and that's why theyput them in a in a favorite situation
through a loss to this King's team. Like I said, I think the
playoff experience is going to be hugehere. The Warriors, they got beat
because of offensive boards, right, they got beat because they allowed points inside

(17:10):
the paint at a high rate.I'm pretty sure the Warriors are going to
make the proper adjustments to limit bothof those. That means that Kings are
going to get a lot of openshots in the perimeter. Obviously they're one
of the best perimeter shooting teams inthe league. I don't think Hurd is
gonna go over whatever it was yesterdayeither. But at the same time,
you got Wiggins coming back after along layoff, right that was his first
game back I'm not one hundred percentsure if he's gonna get inserted back into

(17:33):
the starting lineup. But he didplay twenty seven twenty eight minutes in that
first game, so I don't thinkhe's that rusty, to be honest.
Obviously, he at one for eight. Maybe that was his rust but maybe
the second game he comes back andputs a little bit of a better effort
offensively. But for the most part, dude, I really do think that
the Warriors end up winning this gamehere. I was telling you we're talking

(17:55):
about earlier about how we kind oflook ahead from game to game within this
year. I do. This isthe way that I was thinking that this
was gonna play out. I tookthe Kings game one, right, and
then I believe the Warriors take gametwo here, and then there might be
some overadjustment on the line here fromthe from the books four game three,
and we'll see what happens if ifthe Warriors end up winning this game and

(18:17):
blowing them out, that over adjustmentis going to be pretty huge in game
three. And that's maybe when youlook towards the King's side there to cover
the spread at least if not winthe game. But um, Yeah,
We're gonna see how this King's teamresponds to an emotional win, you know,
with it being their first playoff winin a long period of time.
But what are your what are yourthoughts on that? You know, we
we kind of I know we wewe look at it from an aspect of

(18:41):
how the Kings did through the wholeregular season. But I talk about how
the Grizzlies are. You know,They're Grizzlies are a really good regular season
team. Do you think that theKings um are in that I guess in
that same mold as far as itsjust being a really good regular season team,
or or do you think they're they'rethey're made different here. You know,

(19:02):
I actually think they are made differenthere. I do think this is
a series that's going to go sevengames. You know, the Warriors are
my favorite team in all of basketball, so it's hard for me to say
that, you know, Steph Curry'smy favorite player ever. And I think
you do bring up a very goodpoint here with because I was thinking about
this last night, I'll be honest, because I was thinking about the Brooklyn
Nuts. I was thinking about theAtlanta Hawks and how they're facing you know,
the Celtics seventy sixers, and theseare two teams that just really aren't

(19:25):
exactly battle tested as as a completeunit. You know, they have a
lot of new players added in,you know, Johntay Murray, Sadique bay
Over on the Atlanta Hawks, theNuts, everyone's basically new, Mike cal
Bridges, Cam Johnson, all theseguys. And then you look at the
team like the Miami Heat, andyou know, I understand Jannis Kumpo went
down with that injury and stuff, but this Heat team has played together.
They're actually a collective unit. They'vethey're battle tests, have been through the

(19:47):
playoffs, and they were beating thatHeat team before Jannis went down. So
I very much do think there issomething to be said for experience in the
playoffs and being a team that hassome veterans, like like a Jimmy Butler
someone along those lines. So toyour point, I do think the Warriors
are one of those units that willbounce back whatever the situation may be.

(20:08):
And for me right here, youknow, it's just we've talked about it
all season long, or at leastI have. The two teams that I
have been on in certain situations arethe Thunder and the Kings, And I
know the Thunder let me down inmy very last one, but this is
a spot where I do feel likethe Kings are going to get it again.
And a lot of it does haveto do with the collective unit of
the Kings and how guys like DemontaSimonis didn't really have that great of a

(20:32):
game in Game one, Like yousaid, someone like Kevin heard Er also
didn't have that good of a game. And you know, Andrew Wiggins is
an absolute baller. You know,he is a huge addition to this lineup
defensively, offensively, you know, rebounding, attacking the glass, things like
that, and I think a lotof people forgot that. The only like,
if Andrew Wiggins was playing a weekbefore with this Warrior's team, I

(20:53):
would one hundred percent been on theWarriors. But I I guess some strategy
or a rule I need a teamto be together leading into the playoffs.
It's tough to just insert someone immediately. So for me, the only reason
that I'm not on the Warriors hereis because I think these two teams are
so similar. You know, theyboth defensively, they're very similar, scoring,

(21:15):
they're very similar pace They're very similar. They both they both are driven
through a star point guard. Theyhave a big man who facilitates the basketball,
who rebounds the basketball, like DraymondGreen and Sabonis. So I do
think they're very similar. I justthink that the Sacramento Kings were healthier leading
into the playoffs, and I thinkthis is going to be a seven game
series like I've been saying, ButI actually do have the Kings getting the

(21:37):
upset, and the only reason beingI think this Warrior's team was not a
collective unit long enough leading into theplayoffs. And I know that they are
battle tested, they have a tonof experienced stuff like that. I just
don't know if it's if it's soonenough. Are they've been together long enough?
I guess you could say. Sothat is really the only reason that
I'm on the Kings here is justbecause of Andrew Wiggins getting added to that

(22:00):
lineup late. So again, likeI was saying, I'm King's first two
games, I'm gonna be Golden Statethe next two games, and then game
five, we'll see where we're at. Yeah, I think this is definitely
gonna go seven games as well.I don't know who's gonna end up winning
that game seven. But it's gonnabe a good series regardless. Uh yeah,
I know from a proper perspective,we typically like both of these teams

(22:22):
from a proper perspective, dud.One guy that I want to ask you
about is Kevin Herder. Obviously,he had a terrible game, and like
I said, I don't think we'regonna have that type of game from Monk
again. He might hit maybe twentymaybe twenty points. He's that guy off
of the bench. Like I said, we'll score in bunches, but I
don't think we see another thirty gameperformance from him who would take those points

(22:44):
where I don't think Lyles is gonnago six for eight either and four for
five front the three. Maybe hedoes, but he'll he'll get that opportunity.
I just don't know if he'll he'llactually hit the shots like he did
in Game one. But there's gonnabe a lot of points off of that
bench there that's gonna be I feellike having to go to someone else.
I think it's going to be KevinHerder if we could look from a proper
perspective. But what are your thoughts? Yeah, I was looking at Kevin

(23:07):
Herder as well. His number isfourteen and a half, and even after
his bad game, that number, you know, didn't move at all,
which is definitely telling. Generally thebooks think he might bounce back have a
solid game here. Because Kevin Herderis the type of player as well his
number bounces thirteen and a half tofourteen and a half, So if he's
stuck on that fourteen and a half, there's a very good chance that the
books actually do think he's going tobounce back and have a good game.

(23:30):
Another player that I really do enjoyis Keegan Murray. You know, Keegan
Murray is one of those guys asa rookie, he's been very consistent,
especially from from shooting from the outside. And one player that you know,
I expect to be more into thegame here is Demontes Sabonis. I think
he only had two assists last game, so I do expect him to be
facilitating out of that paint a littlebit more so. Guys, like you

(23:52):
said, round the guys that I'mactually gonna be looking at, you know,
Kevin Herder will be someone the fourteenand a half number. I don't
know how comfortable I am with thatfor I usually like to get Kevin Hurder
at the thirteen and a half range, And again it kind of goes back
to that point because with the Kings, there's so many different guys who can
get you, you know, HarrisonBarnes, Keegan Murray, Kevin Hurder,
you know, Davion Mitchell comes inoff the bench, Malik Monk. Bleak

(24:15):
Monk's number was sixteen and a halffrom Leak Monk is even typically a little
bit higher as well. So forme, yeah, I think the guy
who's somewhat unforgotten here is Keegan Murray. So I'm gonna be looking at him
and maybe playing his point prop tonightor something along those lines. But my
best bet is from the show orfrom the show, from this game.
So we're gonna be talking about thatvery shortly as well. All right,

(24:40):
Leah, let's actually get into thebest best section there. I talked about
mine here. I'll go first.I talked about it a little bit earlier.
I do like the Sixers to winand cover by margin today. Like
I said, there's a lot ofthings to me that says that the Nets
are really gonna get dominated here. The physicality of the Sixers side the fact
that they shot fifty six percent fromthe field and still lost by twenty points

(25:02):
is huge to me. Even soI don't expect obviously, I don't expect
them to shoot fifty six percent fromthe field again. So if that's the
same case here and they they're notable to make there's no way they can
make adjustments to adding physicality to thisfront line here. I think mbid's gonna
eat in the paint and they prettymuch dominated this game one more time.
We'll see what the line is forgame three, but for the most part,

(25:23):
I'm just gonna go with the Sixershere. Sixers, I feel like
they're gonna sweep the series. Now. I did think that the Nets would
probably steal one one game here, probably at home, but uh, you
know, after that game one, man, I just really don't know what
type of adjustments they can make toto get even close to the Sixers squad
here. So my best bet, like I said, Sixers minus ten here,

(25:45):
I think they win by comfortably bydouble digits here. Um. I
know, Matt, you have aEastern Conference preview over at sports moment dot
com. That's a free guide, right, is that right? Um?
Talk about that real quick talk aboutwhat what's in that guide. Obviously it's
free. You could just go tothe site, sign up for it and
then un get it downloaded for free. But talk about that also what your

(26:07):
best bet is for the show andother stuff that you got going on over
at sportsmmo dot com. Yeah, guys, So one thing that I did
on Friday was I made an NBAWestern Conference preview and I made an Eastern
Basically, go over is who youthink is going to win in the series,

(26:29):
what players are well, like theleading points scorer in the series,
the leading assists getter in the series, and you know, I basically break
everything down and basically have all theinformation and that it's completely free over on
sports memo dot com. I havethe Western Conference preview and so definitely go

(26:51):
check that out over at sports memodot com if you get some time and
want to get some fashion. Youknow, again, I know it's one
game into the series, but stillvery valuable information and you can go check
that out over on my page. And I will definitely have some plays over
for the ad Warriors tonight as well. Now for the all right, so

(27:12):
real quick or we gotta get Mattto refresh his computer there. He's a
little lagging a little bit, butI'm going to lead him into his best
bet section. We talked about theWarriors and the Kings here, and we
talked about the game that Sabonis hada little bit right. We saw him
go five for seventeen from the field. Obviously, to me, I don't
I don't expect them him to strugglefrom the field from that aspect, but

(27:34):
he did have sixteen rebounds the otherpart of it too. Normally he does
pretty well distributing the ball. Heonly had two assists in the last game.
So from my thought about my youknow, obviously the thought process behind
Sabonis over his Pira is probably ahuge bounce back. Here I mentioned,
you know, obviously Monk and Lyle'snot kind of getting to that point mark

(27:56):
where they did in game one,and that's gonna have to go to that
that has to go somewhere. AndI feel like that, uh, Sabonus
is one of them and hurts oneof them. But I know the way
that Matt breaks down the game isa little bit different than I do.
Um. He looks he actually followed, you know, he obviously looks at
how the game goes. He watchesif he if he actually asked him,
he watches every single game, UM, especially the Kings here. He follows

(28:19):
them very very closely. He's thisis one of the teams that he really
looks at as far as like propplays and stuff like that because of pace
of play, style of play aswell. So a lot of things in
that direction. UH kind of pointstowards the Sabonus over pr A thirty nine
and a half. I definitely agreewith him there. UM. Another thing

(28:40):
to mention as well is is whenum, when Sabonus actually has to assists.
I don't have the number in frontof me, but he definitely bounces
back. There's not a lot ofgames here where he has two assists in
the game and come back and hasa bad uh distribution game as well in
the next one. So I definitelyfeel like it's a bounceback situation here for

(29:03):
Sabonus. I am not sure ifwe can get Matt back here, but
let's go. I just want totalk about talk about sports memo dot com

(29:48):
his best bet of the show wassabonus thirty nine and a half over pr

Wednesday Toenday and Pacific Standard. We'llhave I believe it's Jeff Jeff Michaels will

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
