(00:32):
Welcome on into Sports Memo today, the Thursday edition, and we have two
great guests coming on too, ofmy favorites here. I'm your host,
Dan Alexander, and we're happy tobe with you on throw Back Thursday.
That means you can get all plays, all packages loaded today, a fifty
percent off. Heck of a deal, you seed beside me, we got

(00:54):
Eric Pauli and Nick Parsons from theInsiders Room coming in here today and we're
gonna be talking a little MLB,a little HL, little NBA, all
actionable info for you here on Thursdayto help, let's say, supplement your
master's bets, maybe alleviate some ofyour mastress bets if you had any outrights
that have already slipped up here onMasters's Thursday. Hey, it's a long

(01:15):
weekend, folks, don't lose yourmind just yet. But hey, I
say we get right into it.Let's bring him a man from over with
the gold sheet, Eric Paulie joiningus here. And when he talks baseball,
yeah, better listen. And he'sgot a two pack for you today.
The first we're gonna be taking alook at a total EP So I'm
gonna swing it your way some twoteams out west. It's Arizona, it's

(01:38):
the Dodgers, and that nine seemsa little high. Are you saying it's
not high enough? What do youthink? I think that nine actually is
not high enough. So Merrill Kellyand Dustin May already faced off against each
other literally less than a week agoin this early season, because the Dodgers
opened up against the Diamondbacks, playedColorado, and now we're hosting Arizona for

(01:59):
this series, and I like thisgame to go over the total of nine
runs. And a lot of thishas to do with the fact that now
these offenses and these two lineups arefamiliar with the starting pitcher going for each
other's team. So Merrill Kelly inthis first matchup, it ended up being
a two one win for the Diamonds, but he threw only three point two
innings, allowed four runs, ohexcuse me, four hits, four walks,

(02:20):
a couple of strikeouts, and itwas actually very lucky to be able
to get out of that inning. While on the other hand, Dustin May
for the Dodgers, pitched a fantasticgame in one of his He was hurt
for a lot last year, onlypitched six games and it's great to see
this nice young player looking good comingback from injury. But I expect the
total flip of the script for thismatchup. I expect there to be runs
because of how familiar these two teamsare with each other's starting pitchers. Marl

(02:42):
Kelly historically is not great against theDodgers, even though most of the damage
comes in Dodger Stadium and they arein Arizona tonight. But all things considered,
nine runs seems a little bit low. I expect some fireworks from these
two teams again, and yeah, going over that nine for tonight's matchup.
Oh ever than nine? Eric Paulisaying, hey, not high enough.
You can keep sending it higher andhigher. He's rocking with that, and

(03:06):
it's only mine is one ten.So if people are agreeing with him,
and the marketplace looks like it is, I want to get on on that
one ten as soon as possible. You also came on here last week with
a little home run prop. Ilove these because there's some plus money could
do something fun to root for.Every time you get your guy coming up
to bat, So who we sprinklinga little bit of something on to hit
a home or to NIGHTDP. We'resprinkling on Luis Robert Junior. Now,

(03:30):
this game actually kicks off every show. If you're watching this live, try
to get that in asap. Andif not, this would be a nice
bragging point if he is able togo YOURRD today. But the White Sox
hosting the Giants. Alex Cobb onthe mount excuse me, Alex web on
the mountain for the Giants a lefthanded pitcher. Luis Robert in his career
a two oh three WRC plus againstleft handed pitching, And if you're not

(03:53):
familiar with the WRC plus advanced statistic, two oh three is well above and
beyond some of the hitters in allthe baseball over the course of the season.
This is his career at home againstleft handed pitching a two or three
w RC plus, So I thinkit was a plus four fifty when I
was able to get in on this. Not always the best odds with home
run betters of the sports books knowa love recreational money likes to come in

(04:15):
on these things, and more oftenthan not, there is value on the
no home run. However, again, knowing how well Robet is, how
well Robet season hits left handed pitching, especially at home. He's off to
a great start this season. Ilike for a little bit of pizza money
on this White Sock Giants. Yeah, and even if you are joining us

(04:36):
live after this one's gone off,a lot of these live betting options they
do still offer. Those home runprops might not be the exact same number
that you're looking at with this nicefour and a half to one before the
game, but you still can't getdown if you want to join us with
a little robet Junior h R.Eric, What is going on over at
the gold Sheet? What's going onover Europage? Because I know you are

(04:58):
up to your eyes getting statistics readyeach and every day for the folks over
at gold So the gold Sheet,we are kind of a soft launch today
of our stat sheet that's going tobe available on the gold Sheet dot com.
And what that's going to consist ofis every single day we're going myself
and the rest of the team atthe gold Sheet, shout out to James.
We're going to break down each andevery matchup in the MLB for that

(05:21):
day, compile a bunch of importantand actionable statistics about how the starting pitchers
do on the road against a certainlineup, how some of these hitters do
against the lineup, some trends aboutnot necessarily trends, but some information about
how these bullpens had been doing leacently. Are they tired, are they fresh?
What kind of angles can we findthat we're going to be releasing a

(05:42):
free pick as well as a freeprop as well, so that entire package
is going to for now be freewhere you can go to the gold Sheet
right now and look at what we'recooking up. The statuet plan is for
raving that to go paid probably atthe beginning of next week, but you're
going to get all access for onesingular week, every single game broken down
with actual stats and information, aswell as our two favorite plays, one

(06:02):
traditional run line, money line, total type play and one player prop that
we love every single day this season. That's Eric Paulie. Make sure you
check it out the Goldsheet dot com. They are doing a terrific job with
one of the longest standing publications bringingit into the modern age. Him and
James are bodying that project, sogo check them out. Plenty of free

(06:25):
content on there as well the Goldheetdot com and also I tell you to
head on over to the deal's pageat sports memo dot com. Because it
is Throwback Thursday. You can getany package, any play that's loaded fifty
percent off. And I know myman Nick Parsons and the insider's room is
always excited when that rolls around.Let them know what you have up here

(06:47):
for tonight's action, then we'll getthem some free plays as well. Nick,
How's it been absolutely not bad atall? Dan, thanks for having
me on again for sure. Imean, for me, the focus is
NBA right now. We've been playingwith house money since the very start,
myself and my clients, and that'sa carryover from a great season last year.
Definitely pumped for the play in tournament, the playoffs. I think you

(07:13):
have to be a little bit conservativehere in the final days and everything,
but I do have a big fivepercent play up at sports Memo right now.
So as Dan said, it's theRollback Thursday, it's the throwback Thursday,
fifty percent off, So go checkthat out. Sam dot Buzz slash
t i r quickest way to getover there, and you don't want to
miss out on that. So Hey, something that you definitely didn't want to

(07:35):
miss out on was hopping in onthe Thunder because early on when this line
opened, we were looking at abouta five as they host the Jazz.
This thing just continues to tick up, so hire and hire it goes.
As we're recording here around at twoo'clock Eastern time, we're looking at a
seven and a half. Is thattoo rich for you, Nick, or

(07:55):
you think there might still be alittle bit of value left here on the
Thunder. I still think there's abit of value left here as long as
it stays under double digits. Forsure, I'm expecting them to not only
win this game, damn, butto do so by a sizeable margin.
I mean, now, granted, both of these teams they're still in the
mix for the playoff tournament, butI think this contest does favor the desperate

(08:18):
visiting side. It's going to havea playoff like atmosphere in this one.
Each team does enter this one ona three game losing streak. You know.
But despite sort of soiling the sheetsover the last week here, you
know, the Thunder they have agolden opportunity here. They can make the
playoffs. All they have to dois win their next two games. They
got to win this game tonight andthen they have another one on Sunday at

(08:39):
Memphis that I mean just depending onMemphis is where it's at there, that
could be just another game where ityou know, it's massively favored and so
it can just roll over there. But I mean, one game at a
time. Here, the Jazz, they have been getting the job done for
betters of late. They've covered infour straight, but they've lost seven of

(09:01):
their last eight straight Up Utah, not only does it have to catch Oklahoma
City, but it also has Dallasright in front of it, and it
and the Mavericks owned the tide breakerin that one, and so the Thunder,
you know, they come into thisgame. They're off a one thirty
six, one twenty five loss atGolden State. They've been they've been competitive

(09:22):
in defeat here for the Jazz, they're off a you know, a really
disheartening one thirty five, one thirtythree overtime loss to the Lakers. For
me, I just think that's goingto be a huge mental letdown for this
team. They battled back from tenpoints down with two minutes left to force
the overtime, and then they lost. Oklahoma City has done well in this

(09:43):
matchup. This year, it's onetwo, lost one in the series.
And so despite sixty four percent ofthe money or more early money here on
the Jazz, I'm gonna go theother way as I say, more money
is on the Jazz, but thisline keeps sticking up for Oklahoma City.
I wouldn't go above ten or anything, but yeah, I think the Thunder

(10:03):
can finally get the job done. Here Dan, looking towards the Thunder as
they take on the Jazz. Asyou mentioned, a five percent play up
in NBA action right this moment,go over and grab that sm dot buzz
slash t I R all right. It's not just the hardwood though, that
you've been crushing around, Nick Parsons. We also love taking a look towards
the ice and tonight the Islanders.Another market mover here is early this morning

(10:28):
when this lined open, we werelooking at about a minus one fifteen favorite
for the New York Islanders on thehome ice as they're hosting the Lightning that's
ticked up. We're seeing one fifties, one fifty five, So I don't
know, is there still value there. Do we start looking towards maybe a
puck line play or do we justlay the juice, eat a little bit
of chalk, and you only paythe chalk and play the choice when the

(10:48):
play loses. How are we goingto be betting this one? Yeah,
I think the Islanders are worth theprice of admission up to about minus one
fifty and then after that, Yeah, we'd have to be looking at the
puck line for sure. But Imean, this is is a big game
for New York. I would argueit's the biggest game of the season for
the Islanders tonight. They currently sitin ninth spot in the conference standings.
That's two games behind Florida. Now, they do come into this game well

(11:11):
rested and focused, and they're youknow, they're out to avenge of five
nothing set back in Tampa on Aprilfirst. Now Tampa, it's in sixth
spot with four games remaining. Theyhave ninety four total points. The Rangers
are in fifth with one hundred andone, tied with Toronto. Pittsburgh is
in seventh with eighty six. Soof course, I mean, the Lightning

(11:33):
won't want to go into the playoffson a losing streak, but they're already
locked into their first round matchup withToronto. For the Islanders, it's do
or die. Basically, they areclinging onto the second wild card spot.
New York plays with this immediate revengefactor after losing five to nothing on Saturday,

(11:54):
and so they're also at to avoida three game losing streak because the
following day they lost two to onein Carolina. So yeah, beyond the
revenge fact or another angle that theIslanders enjoy here is that the Lightning coming
fatigued. They just played last nightsix to two, they lost to the
Rangers, So yeah, I thinkthey can rebound in this shutout after that

(12:15):
shutout loss in Tampa. New Yorkis actually seven and three and it's last
ten and trying to avenge a shutoutloss against an opponent. So in fact,
Dan to say this is a revengegame would be an understatement. The
Lightning have won six straight regular seasonmatchups in this game, and so I

(12:35):
just think the Lightning they have lessto play for here. They're going to
throw in the white tail early, and I look for the Islanders, I
think they're going to be risking lifeand limb getting into shooting and passing lanes
here. So that's my call onthis one. Islanders worth the look.
And again that's climb and so youwant to grab that sooner rather than later.
That's Nick Parsons grabbed that five percentPlay and shop fifty percent off of

(12:56):
it, sn dot Buzz slash tiR. That's all plays, all packages,
all picks that are loaded, youcan slash fifty percent off. Where
we're gonna be running that through aboutmid April here. So something that you
definitely want to take advantage of isour Throwback Thursday, not only here at
Sports Memo but also over at wagertalk dot com. And as Eric Pauley
said, make sure you go andcheck out the gold Sheet dud. Don't

(13:18):
forget about our friends over there. That's gonna do it for us. A
nice little sprint here getting a littleMLB action, a little NHL and a
little NBA as well. If youenjoy the show, all we ask you
to do hop below in the comments, let us know what you're gonna be
betting on, and also make sureyou hit that little bell so you never
miss any of the great shows hereat way to Talk TV or Sports Memo

(13:39):
TV. Big thanks to Eric Paully, Big thanks to Nick Parsons and all
of the insiders room and my producerEric doing a terrific job behind the scenes.
I'm your host, Dan Alexander, and there it is, actionable information
in thirty minutes or less. It'swhat you get every Tuesday and Thursday,
right here on Sports Memo Today.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
