Speaker 1 (00:01):
What is going on? Everybody? Welcome to strike up here
quick beer reviews with your pals down and WRAPI Dave,
Rep Dave, I'm allan, how's it going? It's not bad?
Not bad. We got football on baseball, on playoff football
or a playoff baseball it is, yeah, not playoff football.
And then but we have an alcohol athletic This is
a non alcoholic brew. This is athletic brewing Company Octoberfest

(00:21):
fest Brew. I like that it's a fest brew because
then it's not a marson, right, so it's gonna be
a little bit lighter. It should be a fest beer, right.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It says it's a lagger, so it says traditional golden festbrew,
cratcher for celebration, crisp and malty with bready aromas and
delicate sweetness.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
So damn bratty.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I ever score three point three nine out of five
tapped out of four thy three hundred and ninety six ratings. Nice,
So you know we got that going for us, which.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Is nice, Which is which is nice?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
That looks really light. It should be like for for
a fact, I don't know fest.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Beers a light man. That's it looks I'll trying to
ruin my fest beers, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
What I mean? All right, Well, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
You keep you know, I'll keep the fest beers. You
keep the Mars. And how about that? I like that can?
It does the can actually makes you believe that this
might be a Mars and style beer because it's a
darker one brown or whatever. So sounds good.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Ye smell, cheers and good thanks for watching. I thought
we were doing it again at first. That first Oh,
that's good.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That first within taste is always that NA taste. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Always that taste is not an NA taste that's flavorful,
that's got a lot of flavor to.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Well. When I say a taste, I mean they're in
a taste like not like it's a water down you know,
drink or anything like that. Well, but it's not a
negative I hear you. But I also think that.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
All the athletic beers have a different taste to them
for the different.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Style they like. It's not that typical.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Like you're drinking a beer that has like a water
down taste, like you know, three years ago with when
we were drinking n as, everything we had had like
kind of like a water down taste to it. You
don't have that. I actually had a conversation with the
young lady h I picked this up at Lone Star
Beverages and she was like, man, any beers have come

(02:29):
a long way, haven't they know? Yes, they have?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Which one was up there?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
A little thicker, little little goffier. She is a nice lady,
and I was like, they sure have. She's like, that's
a good thing, because you know sometimes you know, I'm like, yeah, no,
I hear you.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Sometimes you like the party, sometimes.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
You want to go a little sometimes you know, hey,
you want to drink, but you're somewhere where you got
to drive afterwards.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
That's goes.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
You're damn right, Yeah I am.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Don't Yeah, tell me I'm right. Yeah, that's what I say.
Because he's never he's never wrong. I mean I've been
wrong before.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Oh no, we know till people start to mercado and
that jackass fumbled the ball before he ran into the
end zone killed me.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
I can build that easy for it'll be cussing. Come on,
it's a quick beer review explaining that thing. Let's go
jeers prost or prost how about that? Man, I'll tell
you what when you start, you know, knocking back these beers,
and it all makes me think of like sober October.
So people do sober October, which is cool, but yeah,

(03:33):
we do more of a dry January because we go
a little hard during the holidays and so by January
come around, you're like, you you want a beer, but man,
you're just tired of the You're tired of the buzz
and the hangover and stuff like that. And it's just
just my hands. Bass. I just want to I just
want a beer. I just want to taste a beer,
and I don't want the extra bs. So I thought
it makes really good beers. Then they have a hell

(03:54):
of a selection, right.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Actually do so They've got six or seven that you
can pick up at any.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Point in time. Now, just different styles, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Different styles, all different tastes, different flavors. Uh, this is
a really delicious beer.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I enjoyed it. Two thumbs up. Thumb up for me,
just one, just thumb up, two thumbs up. There you go,
We're gonna double thumb it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
But have you guys had this athletic Octoberfest? You let
me know as always, guys on my Alan doculator.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
