I like the cannard obviously. Yeah, you know, dude, I
can't see anything anymore. Like it's terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
You you broke the news that you can't see anything
close anymore. So we got that going for us.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
That's pretty good, very pumpkiny, really good.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
But there's just with all that head, Like I just
took a sip and it's.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Like, yeah, very frothy. Yeah, not ahead. And the head
it's pretty thick. The head's pretty thick. So it's it's
like a nice bad Yeah, it's a little tan, but uh,
very dark, very very dark.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
It's one of those heads that will like if you
just kind of let us sit there, the head will
go away and you'll get more beer.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, I don't think so with that it doesn't look
like it. I guess it's not moving. Just give the
not moving. Let's you know what would be good with this,
like vanilla ice cream, vanilla bean ice cream?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Can we make that happen?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Another can?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Though?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Well, like you need two cans? Oh another can of beer? Right?
We just just hey, look, just PLoP, I think ice
cream there.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
If you're gonna do a beer float, you gotta do
it the right way. You need you need a full can.
This half ass ship all right?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
But yeah, no, it smells good. Definitely get some pumpkin
some autumnally. Uh yeah, smells bells. It does smell good.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Become a little brown sugar.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, a little bit, a little bit like a brown sugar.
Like you taste a little bit more than the smell is.
Like I think that it's mostly pumpkin and whatnot? Is
there a nutmeg in there?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I mean maybe it is a spice and it says spices.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
It's pretty good. Let's knock them. You're already going for it,
all right?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
That's good?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, baby, that's pretty tasty. Great Divine. I never had
a real bad I never had a bad beer. I
think from Great Divide that we usually get there the most.
Most of the beers that we get from them is seasonal,
like your fall beer, your pumpkin nails. And then we'll
get a nice little get some stouts. We'll get some
stout stouts and things like that. But uh, you know,
and thumbs up. I mean, there's nothing wrong with this beer.

(03:28):
I did look to see if it was going to
be a crazy old one, but it was a seven fourteen,
twenty twenty five, so it's obviously the packaging date. Okay,
so definitely no no pride. I did look and I
was like, I want some recent stuff. I don't want
no old kid beer. Even though most of the beers
seemed to hold up, I don't know, but the thumbs
up for me nice, It not too punkiny, but it's

(03:49):
you know, and it's yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I think it's that brown sugar and spices kind of
even out that punkin flavor doesn't give you a lot
of pumpkin. Yeah, pretty darn tasty.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
It's pretty delicious.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
It it'd be nice to be the drink and just
kind of sit outside by a fire, you know, maybe
toast some marshmallows, get some smores going there.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
You got a little floating too, Why not some smores
a beer float and you're just living your life, living
your best life. I'd say, there you so.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
But if you guys had the Great Divide punkin Ale.
Let us know what you think and what's your preferred
flavor of ice cream to have with it. As always
on my island, I'm aready talk to you later this

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
