my co hosts are David Candas andVinnie Hi. Guys, wait a minute,
(01:19):
hold on, yeah, Hi,you were you were muted? Who
muted you? You see how we'restarting out. Well, let's get to
it. Because Vinie doesn't have alot of time. He's actually gracious enough
(01:42):
to call in from work, andso he has to ask his questions and
then get off and go back towork. So just letting our audience know
tonight we have the pleasure speaking withthe multi award winning powerhouse of digital film
and television. With a stellar careeras a director, writer, and producer,
(02:07):
Gregory has captivated audiences with his storytellingand creative talent. Please welcome Gregory
Jay Martins. Hey, how areyou? I'm good? How are you
doing? Hi? Here? ThisPam? Are you doing? Hello?
How's everyone doing? Who do wehave in the room? We have Pam,
(02:28):
we have Vinnie, we have Candace. We dropped back. It's nice
to hear all your voices. Thankyou. She dropped again. What is
she doing over there? I don'tthink she wants to talk to you,
(02:49):
Gregory. Well, well, normallyI asked the question since first, but
as you probably heard, and hehas to get back to work, so
I'm gonna go ahead and let himask his questions first. Awesome, love
that. Well, thank you somuch, and mister Martin, first off,
(03:13):
I want to thank you for thesupport that you've shown my other podcast,
Dotty at the Day, because yeah, no, absolutely, it's great
to get the you know, finallythe reposts of the lights, but the
interaction and you know, just allthe support from you. It's fantastic.
(03:37):
Oh well, thank you for doingthat, and thanks for watching the show
and enjoying it and sharing those storiesall over again. What what season are
you on now? We're on seasonone where we started with the Day to
the beginning, and then now we'reworking on season one and we'll catch up
eventually because we're doing two episodes everyweek. But cool, it's it's it's
(04:00):
been great for me final, youknow, being introduced to it at the
end of twenty twenty three in thatit's definitely a breath of fresh air in
terms of just the storytellers of theseries. No. Absolutely, And that
actually leads into my first question.Even that the Base started as a web
(04:23):
series and continues as a streaming series, did you shop The Bay to any
of the traditional terrestrial channels like NetworkingTable or did you just have the vision
to stay on the web? Youknow, I think we were kind of
taught, we were told early onto stick to streaming because it was the
(04:43):
kind of the way of the future. So we never we never pitched it
to any of the networks like Iguess you're referring to, like CBS and
NBC. Yeah, and all theones that actually air the broadcast hopes know,
we never we never have. It'salways kind of been designed as a
(05:04):
streaming show, so we always kindof went after you know, the Peacocks
and the Amazon Primes and the twoV's and all those. You know.
That's very great. Yeah, andit seems to me like you have less
restrictions as a as a streaming series. Definitely we don't have. There there's
(05:26):
a lot I mean, I have, you know, I still own the
creative control of the show. LaneEntertainment Company Crystals and I we own Laney
Entertainment and so you know, Ihave full creative control of the show.
And there obviously is some censorship thatthat that we have to go through,
you know, once we turned theepisodes into the different streaming services, so
(05:46):
like they'll you know, they'll Qsee the show to make sure that there's
nothing in it that has to beremoved. Maysure that it kind of fits
there. But but we do have, you know, all creative control,
and it's a lot more there's alot more liberties with with going streaming and
being an independent series that it's selfproduced. So it's been it's been pretty
(06:06):
amazing. I'm very grateful it reallyhas, and you can tell just by
watching it. I think this ismore storyline perspective question, what is the
time gap between the Basa where theBasa beginning and where the Bay season one
picks up. Yeah, there's Wekind of keep it. We try to
(06:30):
keep it as vague as possible because, you know, unlike a daytime sof
where they have, you know, two hundred plus episodes a year, we
only do you know, a certainamount, and so you know, if
we were if we had as manyepisodes, then we can kind of move
it along with time. But sincewe don't, really just kind of it
jumps in time every once in awhile, you know, we'll just kind
(06:51):
of skip over a time period. So between the Baya beginning and season one
of The Bay, which is theAmazon where were your first for this Dinason?
That isn't a three year span,it's three years later. Okay,
all right, fantastic, Thank youso much. Yeah, yeah, awesome,
(07:12):
thank you Anny. Thanks. I'mlooking forward to, uh, you
know, I'd love to kind ofcome onto your show when you're when you're
at you know, season well,we're actually going into season nine, so
you've got some binging to do.Thank you so much for answering my questions.
Of course, yes, my pleasurethank you for being so supportive and
(07:32):
and enjoying the show and spreading theword about the Bay. You know,
it's a we're like the little enginethat could, and we keep we keep,
we keep on cheaping on. Sohe definitely, thank you, Annie,
I have a good night at work. Thank you. Hm. Well,
I guess I'll go next. SoI first of all want to say
(07:55):
congratulations on your multitude of past DaytimeI mean wins for the Beta series as
well as your recent nominations. Soyeah, yeah, it's very exciting.
We're very happy. We're thrilled. We are very thrilled. I mean,
the Bay has captivated us for quitesome time and we hope it continues into
(08:18):
the future. Yeah, well,we're uh, you know, I know
that we don't have the episodes availableon VOD just yet. For the last
for this last season, we releasedit on top Star TV in last year,
which is what we us qualified andit was released on a daily basis
last year, which qualified us forthe Emmys this year. But we haven't
(08:41):
released them on VOD yet. We'vebeen a little slow in doing that this
year, but we're hoping and theplan is that before the Daytime Emmys airs,
in June June seventh, CBS thatwill have all of the episodes up
and available on two B in AmazonPrime and so on, so as the
Bay, you know, before orduring the Emmys. Awesome. Well there's
(09:03):
one thing I did notice, andthat is it's available in Australia. Yes,
Channel ten and teen Play. Tenplayis the Australian version of Netflix.
The show is available on. There'sa few territories overseas. It's Australia,
(09:26):
South Africa ABC. What is itcalled, it's a kind separate. There's
another channel Escaping me now in Europe, Hollywood and what is called Planet Planet
TV. It's called Planet TV.So wow, I didn't know. I
thought that was just like our babyof the United States and hear across the
(09:50):
world. That's amazing, thank you. Yeah, well we're not quite as
across the world as much as wewant to be. I know that.
Yeah, thank you. Yeah,I know that Canada is a big territory
that I would really like the showto be available in Canada. The interesting
part if you watch the show daily, because the show does air daily on
pop Star TV, so you canwatch it Monday through Friday. They air
(10:15):
episodes every day it's kind of likea syndicate like syndicated on pop Star where
you can watch the episodes live everyday if you just download the channel onto
your Roku device or your Apple TVor wherever you can get it. And
it is around the world, soyou can actually get Popstar TV all around
the world. And so to watchit live, they only air it at
(10:35):
four pm Eastern time one pm Pacific, So whatever time zone that is,
wherever you are, you could watchthe show live anywhere in the world.
So it is available all around theworld, but it's not available on vod
It's only available during that live timeright live channel, So right, yeah,
I mean it's great though that you'reacross different platforms, So anybody that's
(10:58):
not a fable to watch it live, you know, can go ahead and
watch it anytime. So as wesay, binge the bay, bin the
bay, that's that's that expression thatthat hashtag actually came from Wendy Rich She
you know, she's my writing partnerand our executive producer and she and by
(11:20):
the way, I was a massivefan of hers during her general hospital days,
so it was such an honor tohave her join our show. It's
very grateful to be working with her. But you know, several years ago,
I think when we first landed onAmazon and we started to kind of
we released all the episodes at once, all of season one at once,
and I think season two and maybethree. I can't remember exactly how,
(11:41):
but we she she created the hashtagbinge the Bay and it's stuck ever since
and now we use it all thetime. So yeah, well it's perfect.
It works. You know, everybodythat sees the hashtag knows exactly what
that's for. So good for her. Yeah, So I want to take
(12:03):
you back just a little bit becauseI always like to find out where people
got their inspirations from to get in. This is the entertainment industry. So
who are what inspired you? Wasthis when you were a little boy,
Gregory or did that come later? It definitely was when I was a little
boy. I can't even remember when. It goes so far back that I
(12:26):
can't remember the thought to be inentertainment. It was. It just it
just goes too far back for meto remember. I mean, I was
kind of creating stories and drawing picturesand creating my little magazines and doing everything
that I was, you know,as a kid. I mean, I
say that the idea of the daycame when I was about seven years old.
(12:52):
It was watching watching you know, every Wednesday, we'd go to my
aunt was at his house with mymom and they'd watch Dynasty, and it
was like and we were only allowedto watch some of it, so that
they were kind of like, Iguess there were more which where we'd have
to kick us out of the room. But but I I remember loving that
show as a kid growing up,and it was just so kind of outrageous
(13:18):
and fun and exciting, and thecharacters were so alive, and so I
was a big fan of Dynasty asa kid. I loved that show.
And then also my babysitter, Sarah, her name was Sarah. She she
uh, she would race us homefrom school to catch Santa Barbara, which
(13:39):
was another show, you know, similar to Dynasty. As for me as
a kid, that's the way Isaw it, and it was also larger
than life in a lot of waysand just very entertaining. And I loved
Santa Barbara. But you know, even before that, my mom, you
know, she was a big allmy children fan, and then my sisters
loved One Life to Live and GeneralHospital and so it was always the soaps
(14:03):
were always on our TV. SoI would have to say my my my
siblings, and my mom and myaunts and my relatives who watched soaps.
Since it was you know, Iwas kind of like the only boy around
growing up, and so they kindof took over the TV with their soaps,
and uh, that's what I watched, and it was and it was
(14:26):
it was pretty amazing. I mean, you know, they had some you
know, the eighties was with primeActually eighties soaps were paid for prime time
at that time because they were sopopular and everybody watched them, you know,
And uh, and that was mythat's really my inspiration. I always
also a big horror buff. Iloved Wes Craven, I loved Stephen King,
(14:50):
and I would watch it was justreally big on horror. And so
I think there's a lot of darkelements to the Bay. But my influence
would be what you growing up,you know, with there's a little bit
of a supernatural essence to the Bay, you know, with the you know,
the Curse of Red Garrett and youknow, the ghosts that appear on
(15:11):
the show throughout the throughout the seasons, there's always a ghost that pops up
somewhere, you know, and there'ssome like horror elements to it. So
I would say my influences were, you know, growing up watching soaps and
watching horror and then kind of mergingthe two worlds together to create Bay.
Just that noise, the ghost ofRed Garrett. Yes, I was just
(15:35):
gonna say, you talk about aghosts and here they come. Thank you
for joining us, ghosts, butplease don't make noise? Yeah quiet?
Yeah, But you know, Idon't mind supernatural aspects in TV shows because
(15:58):
I just like those kind of things. Anyhow, I watched Supernatural the TV
show for fifteen seasons and so on. But and I watched Ghosts Now on
CBS. You know, I thinkit's CBS. Anyway, I don't mind
that kind of stuff. The horrorthing is like, okay, unless it
gets too bloody. So I'm gladyou don't go to that extreme. Yeah,
(16:22):
no, I definitely, you know, I don't make It's not a
slasher, you know, it's it'smore like the supernatural elements I kind of
implct into my storage, which yeah, I mean, I believe in those
and spirits and you know, Ibelieve in all that and I think it's
you know, you have to makesure you keep it real. So I
do try to keep the stories real. The one thing I you know,
(16:44):
which is a very soap cliche thatI don't do on the Bay is you
know, people coming back from thedead. So I don't think anybody's ever
seen there's never been a character onthe Bay where somebody came back from the
dead, and we don't. Wedon't usually do that. So if you
die on the Bay, if thecharacter on the show, then that's it.
But you know, they might comeback, but if they do come
(17:06):
back, it'll be in you know, in a spirit. So yeah,
yeah, definitely. Well, Imean it's been done so much and we
appreciate it most of the time whenit's done because a lot of time it's
a favorite character. But it makesyou stand out in a different way.
I mean, there is a chancethat the character who've died does come back,
(17:29):
but it would it would only beif we didn't see their death on
camera, or if or if ifthey're back in ghost form, but we
don't. We don't usually bring acharacter back or if they're recast. Sometimes,
you know, there's been a coupleof actors that have a different characters
more than one character show, yeah, which I don't really like to do
too often, but sometimes we doso. Yeah. Well, the other
(17:55):
thing I would like to talk aboutis that there's listeners are familiar with your
work on the Bay pretty much, and some of them may not know that
you also direct and produce and writefor other projects, such as your recent
role as executive producer on the filmBring the Law and that stars Mickey Rourke.
(18:15):
Could you discuss your experience on thatproject and your contributions. Yeah,
I mean my contribute that was oneof there's you see, when you're in
this business, there's there's different rolesthat a producer takes on. Sometimes you're
more involved in a project than others. Sometimes they're you know, they're more
credits, or you have deals withthe you know, with the producing team
(18:38):
in some aspect, or you're partof the producing team. I had very
little to do with the Mickey Orckmovie. Uh there. I work with
this team on multiple projects. Butit's my way of kind of branching out
and being involved in other projects becausethe Bay takes up so much of my
time that I don't just want todo the Bay. I want to be
(19:00):
involved in other projects. So sometimes, you know, I'll contribute on a
project as a producer, which requiresa lot less involvement because you know,
people sometimes I look at my creditsand say, might you're so you're TechEd
to so many different projects? Howcan you do all of this? Because
some of the projects, you know, I'm not as hands on as I
am on the Bay, you know, the Bay, I'm I'm you know,
(19:22):
I direct, I write, Iproduce every episode where you know,
my involvement in some of these otherfilms are minimal, and so I'm not
really required to do much, youknow, just show up, you know,
do a couple of meetings, orbe here for this, or help
with a casting or help you know, uh find financing or or or put
together a crew or you know, help with whatever. You know, things
(19:47):
might be needed to make sure thatthe project is still going. And so
that's why you'll see some credits onmy IMDb as a producer. Some I
have more involvement. In other words, I would say my involvement with the
through Work project was very minimal andstill Gregory, it's still count I'm very
(20:10):
grateful to be part of that team, and I'm happy to be you know,
I'm happy to be a part ofit. Is Is that why you'll
see in different films or even televisionshows a multitude of producers and directors and
so on. Yeah. Yeah,I mean there's certain producers that might be
attached, you know, because theythey've helped bring in the financing, but
(20:33):
they didn't really have a lot todo with the you know, on set,
uh, you know, on setday to day activities, and then
other times they're involved. You know, it's it's called a vanity credit,
you know, it's you know, you'll see Steven Spielberg has lots of vanity
credits, but he doesn't do muchon a lot of these films, you
know, Yeah, but just hada name attached can sometimes help the you
(20:57):
know, the project, you know, get green lit, or bring in
financing, or bring in a particularstar, or you might be attached because
you brought in a particular star,or you know, there's all different ways
that you can get a producer credit. And sometimes you're there, you're on
the ground and you know, andyou're very very involved, and some of
(21:17):
them might have you know, I'mI'm part of the day to day activities
and sometimes I'm there three times outof their twenty day shoot, or sometimes
i might not even show up onset at all and I'm just doing something
in the background, you know.So it's really all on what the topic
is and what to do with Thankyou for clarifying that, because I've always
wondered why you would see so manydifferent names in the same position, So
(21:41):
that makes sense. Yeah, totallyall right. Well, thank you for
answering my questions. I might havea couple more for you at the end,
but let me go ahead and askDavid asked his questions. Hi David,
Hey Greg, nice to meet too. Nice to meet you too.
I hope you will thank you.I am basically new to the basil.
(22:06):
I'm just getting started with him myself, but I do know a lit Let
me see, my question is going, like, what relevant social topics for
your favorites that the network wouldn't chancethere. Well, Well, first of
(22:30):
all, my BLM storyline, Iknow it was a very controversial one and
I and at that time nobody wastaking the risk to do anything related to
BLM, and I think we werethe first. So I would say that
one would have to be the mostcontroversial one that we've done on the show,
and we were very tasteful in theway we did it, and I
(22:52):
believe and it was very true towhat people were experiencing in twenty twenty.
Uh. COVID also was another topic, and I always you know, there
was a there was a there wasthere. I mean, we did risk
doing a COVID story because people wereso kind of tired of hearing anything related
to COVID after you know, wekind of have the thoughts we will people
(23:15):
just not enjoy the season because we'vebeen you know, we were stuck in
our homes and we couldn't do anything, and so it was just kind of
very dramatic to so many people aroundaround the world, and so but I
think we managed to keep folks entertained. That's season six, so there was
(23:37):
a lot of social relevant issues goingon. We had our first gay marriage
and in season six, which ismy one of my most favorite storylines.
The Daniel and Caleb story is oneof definitely one of my most favorite storylines
of the show, and there's stillso much more to come with that storyline.
(24:00):
I would say that we did arape storyline earlier, and I know
some of the scenes were a bitgraphic for some audiences. I remember going
through that and there were some youknow, some things that were you know,
we should have probably been a littlemore delicate with that. I wish
I could have done. I thinklater on we added kind of like a
(24:23):
warning in the beginning of the episodebecause we you know, uh, which
we would would not have happened ifwe were a network now. Yeah,
So I think those are some ofthe things that stand out to me.
Yeah, I think did I answeryour question, yes, very very much,
(24:48):
Thank you so much. My secondquestion, My second question is what
do Nikolas Costa and Jacqueline Zeeman meanto you you and how do you fill
their void? Oh my goodness, what a question. That's a hard one.
You just gave me the chills. So I'll start with Nicholas. Nicholas
(25:15):
absolutely beautiful man, super talented, one of the best actors I've ever worked
with, and one of the bestactors that ever graced the industry. He
was just a flawless performer. Hehe uh got he was just he was
quite the character. We had avery interesting relationship because there was a there
(25:37):
was definitely a love hate relationship betweenus. Never hated him actually, but
there was there was a lot ofwe can both we have very strong opinions.
I think he has a very strongopinion. Or he had a very
strong opinion, and so that Iam. So sometimes we clashed, but
the one thing that never faltered whenit came to our relationship was the respect
(26:00):
for one another. And I wasa fan of his and I still am,
and I believe he was a fanof mine, and he was very
special to me. We we youknow, we cast the role after a
while because you know, he wantedto kind of go his own way,
(26:22):
but it never stopped our friendship. You know, we would always see each
other. I'd invite him to ourscreenings and he did another movie of mine.
But he was quite quite the beautifulman in so many ways, and
I loved him very much. Istill love him, and yeah, he's
he's definitely going to be missed.Jackie Zeman, Uh, Jackie Zeman was
(26:48):
a very very close friend of mineand a very She was all light and
beauty and I was a very bigBobby fan. Everybody loved Bobby in General
Hospital. And so when when Ihad the opportunity to have Or, I
(27:11):
created the role for her, Iof course immediately did, and we grew
very close over the years. Imet her when I worked in General Hospital
back in two thousand and five, and we became friends, and then I
cast her on The Bay when weI think that when we were a web
series at first, and then likea year later I created the character of
(27:33):
Sophia Madison for her. There wasI was actually just talking to one of
my actors earlier, actually Mike Manning, who placed Caleb. We're just talking
about the scripts and stuff, becauseyou know, the actress just got their
new scripts. And I said tohim that there was one thing that I
will always miss about Jackie, andshe was always the first person to read
(27:56):
the scripts. So as soon asshe got her scripts, I got a
beautiful message from her saying how muchshe loved the scripts and how much she
loves playing Sophia and with her beautifulvoice, because she had the most sweet
Oh god, I love her somuch, you know. But I think
(28:18):
her death was it hit me inways that I just didn't expect. We
were we just came from shooting TheBay in Italy and I landed, and
you know, I it's even hardtalking about, but I landed, and
uh, I got a I wentonto my you know phone, and I
saw these messages about Sophia Jackie's ratherand I and I just it was sprits
(28:44):
and I just didn't expect it andit and uh, it was around around
my birthday and I couldn't even celebratemy birthday. It was just there was
no way to do it because itwas it was her death affected me so
much and it took a really longtime to to get over it because it
was so shocking. She was thelight of our show. She was you
(29:07):
know, she just brought so much. She was so passionate about playing Sophia,
and the most I can't and youknow, I love my actors and
I love all the wonder the peoplethat I get to work with, but
she was untouchable. She was unmatchablein her in her grace, and I
will miss her yearly. And youknow, it's we're about to go into
(29:34):
a new season without her, andit's definitely gonna have an impact because she
brought so much joy. You know. Oftentimes, you know, when I'm
having a you know, I'm gettinga request from someone for an interview,
or I'm getting a request that somebodywould participate in something, or I'm hosting
a party, I'm always you knowher, her, She comes to mind
(29:56):
because it's like, wait, youknow, Jackie Zeman is not going to
be here right now. This isIt's just she was such a big part
of our show and she still is, and even in season nine, we're
doing a very special storyline for herfor the character of Sophia to keep the
character alive, which we're very excitedabout. I would never recast, but
Sophia will still have a very majorpresence on our show because you know,
(30:18):
she she's I mean, she's sucha big part of the show, and
she's such a wonderful She was sucha wonderful human being that I you know,
there's no words that can really definethe impact that she had on our
show, the impact she had onme, and also how much she will
be missed. We all miss her. Yeah, thank you. We had
(30:45):
the pleasure speaking with her. UnfortunatelyI didn't personally because I was sick that
day or something happened. I don'tremember, but I'll always regret not being
able to speak with her. ButI'm glad my crew got you and we
missed all the time in General Hospital. So thank you that was a wonderful
story. Thank you, yeah, thank you for asking you come Dave,
(31:14):
Thank you. And now we'll goon to uh miss Candace, who has
stayed on the phone and popped off. I know, right, it's so
nice to hear your voice. Iknow it's it's funny because I'm sitting over
here and I realized I probably wantedthe few that has been there from start,
(31:41):
like blit cev on up, liketo see the evolution, to say,
you know, I had to bringthe whip my websod you like,
just to see the evolution of theday. And I've been I was really
good. I didn't talk about theEmmys a lot, which is I know,
not normal, but I did.I want to congratulate you and the
team for again again. I mean, come on, like serious. Yeah.
(32:10):
So the joke was because I've alwaystalked to you, like on social
media stuff. I really had noquestions, but I was told to have
two questions, so I did.Come on, that's right. Otherwise she
was getting fired. Okay, solet me be professional now whatever that means.
(32:34):
Okay, and somebody who's been therefrom the start of the digital soap
error, I know that's crazy. When I said it like that, right,
Okay, what's your sake? Haschanged over the last couple of years
with the digital creators. I'm notgoing to save the B word budget,
but you know that's part of it, Tay. So what do you think
(32:57):
has changed? Because it's digit thedigital slope era has definitely evolved. So
what do you think has changed?Well, first of all, production values,
right, I think that when weyou know, when we all started,
uh, there was you know,we were always striving to make a
better program, right, so welearned. We all kind of learned together,
(33:22):
you know, we kind of fedoff of each other, and we
learned what we wanted to do tomake our shows better. And so I
think that's the key was to makingsure that you know, because we were
finally receiving the recognition you know,as independent artists to create content. Uh,
you know, as we were creatingcontent, we started to receive recognition,
(33:45):
particularly with you know, the Emmysor you know, forms of distribution,
we knew that we had to upour game and we had to you
know, make sure that we havethe you know, the right lighting and
the right cameras and the right starsattached and the right you know cammra angles
or the right locations or production designor so on and so forth. And
so that obviously was very clear thatevery year, the shows, all the
(34:09):
shows, all the independent programming, you know, just increased their production values
across the board. So that's themajor thing that changed. I find that
sometimes the the the the industry, you know, that the this, they
(34:36):
sometimes that we're not ash what's thewhat I'm looking for? We're not as
uh supportive of one another as weshould be. I think I think that
needs to change a little bit.If I were to give a critique on
(34:57):
the digital world, you know,I try to you know, I love
Anthony Anderson, you know, Itry to be very supportive of what,
you know, what each of usare doing. And I don't know if
that's across the board. I don'tknow if that's a very you know,
sometimes I feel like we, youknow, we lack I try not to
do that, but I think welack having that support for one another.
(35:20):
It becomes a little too competitive. And by the way, it happens the
same, it happens the same. And you know, with the four broadcast
soaps, you know, I thinkbeing supportive of our community, which you've
always been is so so important, and I think I've noticed that it tends
to, you know, it tendsto kind of sometimes it's supportive and sometimes
it's not, and that's not good. You know. I think we need
(35:43):
to be a little more supportive withone another. This is not a competition,
you know. And I'm and youknow, I recognize the shows,
you know, the ones that appreciatethat we're now in category one and it's
not like, oh god, they'rein category one. Let's you know,
you know, shouldn't be that way. You know, it should be like
we should grow each other. Andthe same with daytime. It's not just
(36:04):
digital. I think that there's toomuch competition with one another instead of support
with one another, and that thatneeds that that needs to change. So
I definitely agree. And you know, the joke is, and you know
this because you see here on socialmedia, I'm the Kumbaya of the social
community, where I'm just like,I congratulate everybody on every little thing.
(36:30):
Yeah you've been that one, you'vebeen. You've been so wonderful with that
and I appreciate that. Thank you. I mean, because I always say
this, you know, the genredaytime genre, whether it's digital International network
or even audio. We are one. We are one, you know,
(36:54):
we are our gender is we're supposedto entertain but we're doing it together.
Like it's a group of people whoare doing this for the entertainment and for
just that alone. And it's justit's interesting because, like I said,
I really do feel a certain typeof way by saying this as one of
(37:15):
the pioneer fans of the discert yeahand whatnot. It's just again like being
there from the start because I remember, I just remember you remember message boards?
Remember message boards? Like how crazyis that? Yeah? Right?
(37:35):
Like the ever, like I said, you know, from there to now,
and like you said, it hasbecome a competition on a certain level,
and it doesn't need to be becauselook, let's let's be plenty of
room for everybody. Exactly, yeah, exactly, open arms. We're open
(37:58):
arms. So yeah, I agree. That's one question. The question I
have to be the deep thinker thisWhat was the best piece of advice ever
given to you that you could sharewith our listeners. Hm hmm, that's
(38:22):
a good one. I mean I'vegotten so much wonderful advice throughout the years.
I mean, Wendy Rich gives meadvice all the time. Uh.
You know, my partner, PreciousMaze has always given me great advice.
Uh, Chrystals gives me great advice. He's he's wonderful. So I think,
I mean, I I couldn't reallytell you my mentor Jerry Kessler gave
(38:44):
me some wonderful advice throughout the years. Oh goodness, what is the best
advice? Okay, I'm gonna takethis a little. Maybe it's not.
I don't know if it was adirect advice, but it was more of
an upbringing thing. I'll give itto my mom, and it was it
(39:07):
was the the the idea of loving. And I think she operates from love,
from a place of love at alltimes. And so I would say,
you know, operating from a placefrom a place of love, I
(39:30):
would say that that's probably the bestlesson that I've learned in my life.
That you know, you can't youcan't come from a place of anger or
bitterness or or any of those elements. I think it has to come from
a place of like just if youoperate from a place of love and no
(39:51):
knowing, no matter what obstacles you'refaced with, that you you know you
tap into the love. The lovein the end would prob would be the
best indirect advice I've ever gotten inmy life. There you go, Oh
you make more friends that way,Yes, I'm sure to do. Yes.
(40:13):
Well, thank you so much foranswering much questions and I'm going to
them today as I always do.Thank you and hopefully I'll see you in
jerm Yeah, and I you knowwhat, I'll add something to it just
for those listening out there who arecontent creators. It was it was also
an indirected but I learned it.It was like, actually, I say,
(40:37):
it comes from the school of JohnCarpenter, and that would be and
I've said this in interviews before,is just do it when you when you
want to get something done, don'twait for it to happen, do it,
do it yourself. So that wouldbe my career advice. There you
go write that down, folks, right, Yeah, well, thank you,
(41:00):
Candice. My last my mast questionfor you is do you know they
say work hard, play hard?Yeah, So what do you do to
have fun? What do you doto relax? Well? I love what
I do, so what I dois definitely fun. I love to write,
(41:22):
I love to direct writing, helpsme relax a lot. I just
go into my zone and I gointo my world of writing whatever it is
that I'm writing. But you know, when I've had a stressful work situation
happening, the best thing to dois again surround myself with the people that
I love and just at a goodtime, we go grab something to eat,
(41:45):
have a couple of drinks, youknow, just kind of all kind
of bond together and connect. Youknow. We have a hashtag called the
Bay Family that we use often becausea lot of our folks from the Bay
we you know, during and weget together. I mean, I I
host a lot of parties too atmy house, and I think, you
(42:06):
know, keeping that family environment aroundthe people that you work with, that
you're close to, that you cantrust, is probably my escape. I
also love to travel. Traveling isalways fun too, So I would say
those are probably the best things forme, just kind of surrounding myself with
people that are good, good energypeople and enjoying each other's company, and
then also you know, traveling together. Yeah, yeah, that's my Yeah.
(42:32):
I think if you can travel togetherwith all the people that you work
with and still come out on theother side as a family, you've accomplished
something major. You know, itdoesn't always work that way. It's like
when you you know, your firstboyfriend and girlfriend, or your first get
married or something that you first livetogether, it's like, uh, he
(42:52):
gets on my nerves. So ifyou can get from all that, you
got a good thing going. Soexactly. Thank you so much for joining
us tonight. And I just wantedto let you know there's been many times
I've wanted to reach out and askyou to be on the show, but
(43:15):
we've just been busy so much. Our people, you know, we have
illnesses and stuff like that, andyou're always busy, and I never want
to interrupt somebody that's being creative. So I'm just glad we finally got to
connect together. Yeah, me too, Thank you, Thanks so much,
(43:35):
and it was great talking with youand with an honor to be part of
your show. And yeah, keepbinging the Bay. And We've got some
wonderful people that are part of theshow that I'm very grateful to be working
with, Mike, Chris nos Impreciousand Wendy and Nadine Arenson. Nadane just
(43:57):
so much. She's one of ourproducers and Celestiustos, his sister who's like
my sister obviously, Mike the DeanBrosias. There's so many people that help
make the show happen that I'm sograteful to have and so we all.
You know, I can speak onbehalf of all of them to say that
they really appreciate the support, andyeah, thank you so much. Thanks
(44:22):
for all the support. You're verywelcome, and that's what we do the
show for. We've been doing italmost twelve years, so we'll keep doing
it. As long as everybody's outthere wanting us to do it and you're
entertaining us, we'll be there foryou. Yeah. I do want to
say one thing because I'm getting atext from my sister right now because I
(44:42):
guess she's listening. So I'm justgoing to give her a little shout out.
Okay, go ahead. She andI, she and I watched these
soaps together. She was like mylike I like, I watched General Hospital
and One Life to Live and SantaBarbara and Another World her all the time,
and uh, and she was youknow, I have to mention her
(45:06):
because I mean she was like mylike I used to want Somebody asked me
earlier, I forgot was it was? It? Was it Benny or Day?
But I can't. One of youguys asked me earlier, you know
what you know how far? Orwas it? Maybe it was you?
What I like? When? Howfar can I remember? I mean my
family, my sister Carolyn and allmy relatives kind of like I used to
(45:27):
force them as I told them mystories as a kid, and so I
uh, I have to, youknow, give her a special shadow because
she was my first fan and myfirst audience member. And then of course
my aunt Danis, who you know, I named the character after Janis Ramos,
who was very who is probably alsoone of my biggest fands. So
(45:50):
I'm very grateful to have the supportthat I have from my family that supports
the show, and my stepdad Anthonyand so many great people. So I
just want to give them a shoutout as well. Thanks, thank you.
That's wonderful. I'm sure they allappreciate it, and they're very happy
to stand by you and support you. Yes, and my beautiful children of
(46:13):
course, and we've just heard hisnext Daytime Emmy winning speech. Yes,
well, thank you. So ifI don't get to get up on stage,
I said it here. That's right, that's true. You're golden here,
(46:35):
Gregory, thank you, thank youso much. That mean the left
to me. You're welcome. Well, thank you again for joining us.
We welcome you back anytime, andyou have a wonderful evening. Okay,
thank you so much. Thanks forhaving me. You're welcome. Bye bye.
That was really sweet him. Candice, what are you doing because we
(47:06):
can't hear you. Okay somewhat butnot you're more like barely there. I'm
doing it now, Okay, thereyou are. Yeah, glue this whole
air piece thing. I don't likeit. I try to be different tonight,
but they work and stuff. Yeah, as I said, half the
(47:32):
time my headset works. In theother half it doesn't, and it just
drives me insane, and I thankgod tonight it works. So yeah,
you know, that's what we getto live with when it comes to these
technical things. Exactly. Anyway, such a such a pleasure speaking with Gregory.
(47:53):
Honest to god, I have wantedto interview him for forever, but
we just you know, life.Yeah, he's busy, he's I mean,
seriously, he's Yeah, there isno work, Like I said I
September twenty ten. That's the exactdate when the first episode dropped, Like
(48:16):
the first season on blippev I seriouslysaid, Jelly, if you're listening to
this still, yes, I stillremember the exact date and sisions of the
show, like I can remember certainthings and I'm just like, wow,
I've been there from the from thestart as well, like and that's a
(48:37):
touch. And I mean it's beenfourteen years now, yeah, because we're
in twenty. Yes, it justkeeps getting better and better and better.
And during the time of this interview, I was playing the same song in
my head. So there you got, folks. Yeah, I am a
sucker for the music. There's asire you know. Oh we all have
(49:00):
to right, Okay, I canget away with that. You're such a
dork. Well, but that's true. That is true. So yeah,
(49:23):
Well, we love all of ourco hosts except uh not, except what
I was going to say is welove all of our co hosts, and
we hope that Anthony feels better. He's got a migrant and that's why he's
not here tonight, and hopefully Carolynand and Vinnie too because Vinnie's working.
(49:46):
So it was great that he wasable to call in tonight and ask his
questions and then go back to work. But yeah, I'm grateful for all
of you. Yah yay, andwe're grateful for you, Pam exactly.
It's a love fast, you guys, Oh love fast. Everybody virtual hug.
(50:14):
He's touching me, he's touching me. Man. We're okay, We're
okay. It's been a long day, that's letters to it. So I'm
going to let you guys go becauseI have to prepare myself to get laser
(50:37):
tomorrow and pray that it works onmy shoulder. And I know you too
can handle it. I know Candicecan do this on our own. I've
said it a million times, sooh yeah, right, So you guys
(50:57):
have a good show, and hopefullyone of these days soon I can catch
up with the soap talk. Ihope so too. We'll see what the
laser does. If the laser doesn'tbeat me to another planet and it actually
helps my shoulders, maybe maybe nextshow I'll be able to stick her out.
(51:22):
Oh my god. All right,do you guys soon have fun by
will Hi? Honey, Hi Hi. It's just us. We can't do
(51:42):
anything we want with the reason.Okay, I'm gonna say we call some
sort okay, so there is there'ssome news. Okay, okay, so
breaking news. So days while livesfans jump up and down. As of
today, this part can report itto work today, Kristin Alfonso is back
(52:02):
at days. Oh so rejoice becausethis was a reach they got her.
She went on set today to filmher goodbye to you know, dust as
everybody come back for Dugs Fenerle, which is gonna be later on this year.
So you I mean, I thinkeverybody was up in arms about it
(52:25):
because they did, you know, the fifteen thousand episode, you know,
photo shoot David, and they didn'thave they didn't have like well, it
seemed some people that she wasn't onthe wish list. Oh no, she
was on the wish list. Post'slet me clarify something right now. She
(52:49):
was on the wish I mean obviouslyyou're you're saying goodbye to Doug Williams.
Doug only has one baby and that'sHope. That's you know, he did
still some too, and in herinterview saying there was a story. There
was actually a story, folks, and one was the fact that rightest frike.
(53:10):
The other one was vetoed That's allI'm gonna say about it. But
I'm just glad that they worked itout where christ and off phone so was
to come back to say goodbye toyou know, to Doug. So it's
going to be emotional in the nextcouple of months, like let's think they're
going to do it around December.Yes, it's going to tie into the
fifteen thousand episodes, so Satan, but I'm glad that they got her.
(53:34):
I am. I am too,Dad, And we were talking earlier,
and I remember I went to you. We were thinking about Peter, and
you mentioned that it might be ahardship for him. I will say this.
(53:58):
You know there was an interview thathe did where not going into two
deep, where Ken Corday has saidto Peter, when there's a story presented
for Bou, they will reach outto Peter Ruckles. And I know fans
are you know right now? Youknow? And I saw them on social
media. You know, why can'tyou have like Okay thus passing away?
(54:22):
It should be a book storyline.I'm very controversial. I understand that everybody
wants to see Bow and Hope. However, if I had to pick,
I'd rather have Hope back on setbecause that is her father. The fact
that you got Victoria knafil As Sierras well as Missy Reeves, who you
(54:43):
know, I'm glad that they gotMissy because I here's the same when you
think about to it, he's theoriginal and you have to do flashbacks,
and I think that's what they wantto do, and so I'm proud that
they got some of them. Yougot Matthew Aspert, who by the way,
is on the bank. He gotMartha Madison, Brandon Beemer. That's
(55:05):
like you got some because Janet putin the work. Janet put in the
work to call out current Susan Hayesbecause they came up with a list of
who they wanted to come back. They reached out and this is this is
who we're gonna get. So kudos. Today's congratulations christ and Alfonso. Can't
see you in December. It mightbe multiple episodes that she's a part of.
(55:28):
That is a that is that isgood news. Right then, last
night we got the sad news atA seventy five Meg Bennett passed away.
She passed away actually April elevens, but we got news. The confirmation was
last night cancer most of you guysremember her as I mean, she was
(55:54):
gonna search for tomorrow and she's gonnamainly everybody knew her as the first Missus
Newman on the Younger Rockers, Julia, the last Time Star, yep,
the last time we saw it waslike what two years ago for Eric Braydon's
for this one. Yes, therewas something going on. It was for
(56:14):
his It was for his anniversary show. Yeah. So they had some people
come back, and I think Megwas one of them. I do remember
seeing her. Yeah, and notonly that, but she gets the distinct
honor of Yeah, they wrote thecharacter off, but what is Javel said,
baby, you're gonna stay on theshield as a writer. And she
(56:35):
did and she won you know, the w DAF. She wanted Emmy,
she did Young and Rosa. Shedid General Hospital. She did so that
think, she did Generally and upStanta Barbara. She did General Hospital where
she met her husband of twenty years, mister Robert. They were together,
I generate five. Yeah is herhusband? Yeah? I didn't know that.
(57:01):
Where was I I I don't know? Yeah? They yeah, but
you know Meg, many people tookthe social media. Ed Bradon wrote a
really nice tribute. Michelle Vaughn Jeanalso wrote a nice little thing too,
but yeah, Meg Bennett. Andyou know it's crazy because sweetheart, sweetheart,
(57:30):
you know who really you know,Georgia Hill said, you know,
you know Gregory has said about meand the stold community. Meg was another
person who championed for this industry aswell. So you know, so Meg
Bennett, everybody seventy five years oldpassed away from cancer. Okay, there
(57:51):
was other news. I'm like goingby play by play here for those who
did not hear me on Friday screaming. I didn't mean to scream as well.
But Steve Kent is out at Sony. I did hear someone scam that
was you? No, let's no, okay, here's okay. So here's
(58:16):
what we know. One allegedly April. Now, we got this news April
nineteen, but apparently it was hisfinal day of work, which was the
day, yeah, which was theday he appeared at the Days of Our
Lives celebration, So that same dayhe was that was his last day.
(58:39):
Apparently there's no word of why hehas left or if somebody, you know,
he was voted out, and wedo not know who his replacement is.
Now, let me kind of giveyou a best story about Stephen Kent
here. He started out on Capitol. Y'all remember that show Capitol to show
(59:00):
that I'm still a little upset aboutfive year old hand is still upset about.
Okay, he was doing that show, and then he was over at
Santa Barbara with Meg and all ofus, so it was all a group.
And then he became the vice presidentoverseeing James Alive and Young and a
rostas. So when we keep sayingSteve Kinton was like at both both,
(59:23):
you know he was. So Nowthe question is what is going to happen
now that Stem's out? We againdon't know who his replacement is at this
moment, but what is going tohappen to days and to young and rustless?
(59:44):
Right? But I'll do it,Shoot, I'll do it. I've
been putting, I put the workin. I'll do it Againnis mag VP
for Sunny. You know what Iwas hoping. This is a hope.
I don't know if it's related ornot, but I hope this move helps
(01:00:07):
Ari's case. Okay, real talk, we can, we can do real
talk on the show. I'm questioning, I'm questioning if that is a part
of the reason why Kent left.Mm hmm. That's all I'm gonna say.
(01:00:30):
I'm questioning certain certain moves at days, and I'm questioning that, like
that's the number one question that Ihave. So but up until now,
we don't. We don't know anything. So more about it, Yeah,
we don't know anything. We're probablynot gonna know until maybe like in a
(01:00:52):
couple of weeks and whatnot. Butyeah, this is a very interesting development
that it's that is going again. And I'm just gonna go there and ladies
and gentlemen, boys and girls, children are all ages. I present to
you coming in January on CBS theHome of Young and the Russells and Bothing
(01:01:13):
the Beautiful and this Year's Day TomEmmy Students. That was at eight o'clock
streaming on CBS and peramount plus thegates will be open, yay. And
we're surprised that the move was movedup. Okay, So the week the
(01:01:36):
week fire, we found out thatthe talk was canceled. And here's the
deal. I'm going to say thisright now. Were not really canceled.
They were renewed, but they shorter, no, no, no. The
talk was so the Talk has beencanceled. Well, basically their season is
closing out. Now, their seasonwas closing out anyway, Jay did get
(01:02:00):
in it. You're right, theydid get a pick up. It wasn't
like really a renewal. It waslike a pick up because remember the strike
kind of delayed the season a littlebit. So just like with Albert Elementary,
they only got four episodes left,so they really didn't have a full
season. But the Talk, theyyou know, they yess on, so
(01:02:22):
they could do whatever they want.Literally, they did what they wanted and
as of December, there will beno more Talk. We found this out.
What was it on? Wasn't thetwelth, Yeah, it was the
twelth, right, the swemth, the siay right off, I'm gonna say
(01:02:43):
this. It fell on the dateof Another World being canceled twenty something years
ago. Y'all was there for thatand to hear that the Talk was canceled.
If you were a Proctor Gamble fan, you're screamed. Because many people
feel as though this was a longtime coming because there was a certain show
(01:03:08):
that ran for fifty four years thatwas taken off to be put with the
Talk, and so a lot ofpeople felt vindicated. They felt a certain
type of way because it was justicefor as well Terns. It was justice
for Ernest Phillips that day because againas well Terns in another world that was
(01:03:29):
her babies. I will say this, I was didn't try to rotate the
talk to our earlier ship. Andwhat I mean by that is I'm surprised
that they didn't try to bump itup and try to be like our early
morning like rotate some show out.But again, the staple of CBS has
(01:03:51):
always been I mean, I willgive Wayne Brady his props because let's mega
deal is now part of the staple, so let's make a deal. Price
is Right, little news, JohnRobson's bold and beautiful, that's the staple
of CBS. But if you're oldschool, it was price is Right,
local news. John Roussillon's bolding andbeautiful as well turns god like. So
(01:04:12):
if you're a Proctor and Gamble fan, you know that at two o'clock on
NBC, there was another world. On two o'clock on CBS, it was
as all times. So it's alwaysbeen a staple. I will say this,
I'm not a fan of people losingtheir jobs enough, I'm not And
I'm also going to get to talktheir props because as somebody who they had
(01:04:32):
to convent why this show should beon, the Talk did something that the
View used to do, which waspromote their network brand, especially their daytime,
especially their daytime. And I wantto give Angela to McDaniel her props
because she's the one who came upwith the daytime celebrating thirty years and number
(01:04:54):
one that included as Lot Turns andGodlight. She is the one who who
you know, extended the Olive branchto NBC and to ABC when they didn't
have their platform. I will saythis, like I said now, the
question is who's going to do thisother than podcasts, Who's going to be
(01:05:15):
the network or show to promote theirdaytime lineup, especially come Janeuary because we
have the gate opening. Seldom mixedmixture of that. I'm happy that the
gates are coming, I'm excited,I'm worried as I don't know what I'm
fraid. I'm happy and I'm scared. At the same time, I want
(01:05:43):
to still know about Procter and Gamblebecause that, out of anything has shocked
me again, you would have toldme last year, Candace. Like when
I say last year, I meanearly in the year, like around this
time last year, Candace Proctor gavethem for the company. I'm like you
lying, yeah, well yea,all right, okay Rocker Gramble or where
(01:06:05):
Jae Druggers. But it's happening. So I'm excited for the people at the
gates. I'm excited for daytime. We got the boulevard coming up. We're
Vincent Arazari, Adam Hus, JordanJordi he Jo. This is I'm excited.
I'm really excited for what's coming inthe next couple of months, including
(01:06:30):
a show in August called Fur anda Day That Comes Back. Yeah,
that comes back as well. Soand we will have some catching news later
in the week about that. SoI'm excited. So we got Dad going
on right, Okay, well wait, there's more news, David, there's
more. We got more. Wehave cat, we we have we look
(01:06:55):
we oh my god, no,wait this is okay, this is the
big news. Okay. So,if you were like me on Thursday and
Friday, you were glared to accessHollywood Extra Entertainment tonight and on Twitter to
find out who was going to benominated for this year day come and oh
(01:07:16):
and needless to say, it bleweverybody's mind. Oh oh yeah, for
the first time ever. There weresome shakeups like that. I went out
and be honest, there were someshakeups that I didn't even see coming.
There are some first timers. There'seven a category where there's no previous winner,
(01:07:42):
which is and some of the winnershave previously won twenty years ago,
thirty four years ago. David TurnedIt Out, Turn Us Out had eleven
nominations and only two wins, hasonly been has only won twice their a
long career. And we have aninety eight year old young actor for guest
(01:08:06):
performer. Have we got David? So David, okay, so real quick,
I'm just gonna go over real quickabout you know, the nominees and
stuff like that. I want you, I want your tape about this because,
(01:08:30):
like I said, it was someshake up and I do want to
remind people that, yes, therewere some people who did not submit.
Maurice Bernard did not submit. Colleendid submit. She did, Yeah,
she did submit. She went onsocial media to confirm that. Also,
(01:08:50):
there's a fee that you have topay, yep to he submitted and the
executive producers and all that stuff. So I want people to understand that this
is not a freebiet. This money. So if some of your favorites ding
it, it's because of money. You know, people people got deals to
pay. So okay, So wehad four leads, probably three hundred dollars,
(01:09:15):
and if you were late, itwas four. Yeah, it's three
hundred dollars. I was more. No, that's the that's the Lemmy ticket,
No sake, three hundred dollars free. Yeah, to put your name
(01:09:36):
in. Right, Well, that'sthat's been a common Wait a minute,
I'm sorry, my bad, commonreason. Wait, I'm sorry, my
bad. I'm sorry. That wasthree fifty if they hit that deadline by
February, and four hundred by late. By the late deadline, I'm sorry.
(01:09:56):
That sucks. Well, it goesup if you're late. Oh yeah,
you know, like just like abill, if you're late with your
bill, they put extra fees onit. They need they needed time to
think about it, and they thoughtabout it. They have a whole year,
you know. Maybe well someone said, someone said to me that the
(01:10:28):
men in gh they don't really havea pool of ree Maurice, Right,
now Maurice is the only one.I mean, they try it, they
tried, they tried to do someother people, but I'm going to keep
it one hundred. Some of thestuff in General Hospital was very choppy and
(01:10:53):
people had to put together a realand the real had to be I believe,
only between fifteen minutes and seventeen minutes. So, you know, we
talked about it last year, thepacing. There was a lot of pacing
issues, and I will say thatsome shows have more supporting than leads,
and General Hospital actually had more supportingbecause usually it's days were all right,
(01:11:18):
So it's it was very interesting tonot see a shout out. But I
mean, this is the first time, David, do you realize this is
the first time that General Hospital hasnot been nominated in lead actors. It's
the first I believe it is,Yeah, because usually is Maurice, Maurice,
(01:11:39):
Tony, Gary Tyler, Michael Easton, Yeah, Michael, yeah,
So mm hmm. You're very interesting. So here is the nominees for Outstanding
Lead Performer in a daytime Drama Series. The nominees are Eric Braydens, Victim
(01:12:00):
On the Young and the Rustlers,Scott Clifton, as Liam Senser on The
Bold and the Beautiful. Thornston Kayis Rich Forrester. It's The Bold and
Beautiful. Eric Mosov is Brady Blackon Danzuel Lives and John McCook as Eric
Forrester The Bowld and Beautiful Cevs.Okay, here's the interesting here's the interesting
part. Last year thorstters Snucket. He got it last year before that,
(01:12:25):
John McCook. Eric Braydon has onlywon twice and the last time he was
nominated was over twenty years ago.Got Clifton, as we all know,
made history as a triple He madehistory, by the way, got Happy
Anniversary's League twenty years in the industryHeavy Anniversary, honey. And then you
(01:12:45):
have Eric Mosov. And here's thething. Eric has history too, because
Eric is the first supporting actor ofDazel Lives in Dazoelade's history. Got you
won for yeah, like like whatten years ago? Yeah? Yeah,
what was it when Eileen was playingKristen? Uh huh? And Eric,
(01:13:09):
your your speech still ring true tothe to the to the the resurgence of
soaps. You're right, we're gettinga new one. We're getting a new
one. We're going into a newone. Here's the thing about this category.
I'm not mad at it. I'mnot mad at it is the Eric
some snub mhm. I mean, okay, who you really? Maybe?
(01:13:40):
Okay, maybe maybe not. No, I'm trying to think. I'm trying
to think, well, and arewe talking just the men are all together?
Oh? Just the man because becausethere's one particular name that I thought
was going to be on lead,we didn't make it. Didn't make it.
(01:14:00):
And there's one that I was questionable. I was questioning where they were
going to place them at, butthey didn't even make that. But then
again, I don't know if he'ssubmitted or not. Uh, Billy Flynn,
Oh no, no, no,no, that's not the one you're
talking about. Mm hmmm. Oneof them is from Days one, one
(01:14:23):
is from Days Fuel Alive, andone is from Bold and Beautiful. Oh
yeah, okay, yeah, wellyeah, of course we don't know if
he submitted, right And for thoseat home, yeah, I'm pretty sure
you guys don't know. Who I'mtalking about is Matthew Xson. I don't
know if he submitted for lead orsupporting, because I thought he was.
(01:14:45):
He was phenomenal this year as well, and the other person is from dayswel
Lives and that's stand herble because whenEJ lost his mama, that broke me.
So again don't know if submitted ornot, or if they were placed
for lead or supporting. So that'swho And yeah mm hmm, it's easier
(01:15:05):
to put yourself on lee supporting thanit is to put yourself on lead.
Well, this year is more easyto do. Guest performer allegedly, which
are all talking about? Then rentit? I Like I said, I'm
not mad at this list. Ithink we all we all understood the assignment
(01:15:31):
with drama because it's source and kif storyline him Dyn. Come on now,
Eric massav Rachel's custody, I mean, come on, talk about acting
one on one yep, yeah,Liam, I mean Liam and Hope and
Thomas and all that drama. Andthen there's Eric Braden And you don't even
really need an excuse for Eric Braydento be in this category, but it's
(01:15:53):
Eric Brayden right period period. That'sall that's all. That's all you need
to say, is it's Eric bradonperiod. I mean, David Whody,
I mean, I don't know ifwe're gonna do that, if we should
wait. I think we should waituntil closer to the I mean, you
(01:16:16):
know again, which would be inMay, that we can all talk about,
you know, put our submissions inour lock. But yeah, it'd
probably be well, probably be theright, So it would be next month.
It will be our last show inMay that we'll that we'll do it.
(01:16:40):
Yeah mm hmm. And you guyswho are listening to us right now
and also on social media, youlet us know who you think. Do
you guys agree with the lead Actorcategory or do you think there would I
mean obviously there's people who will snubI mean, it wouldn't be an Awards
without people being snubbed. So tellus what are your thoughts about this,
and we'll polla reed some comments, and guys are okay with that our next
(01:17:02):
show if we have time. Okay, So then we have lead Actress in
the drama series. And I'm gonnatell you right now there were some drama
regarding this category. I'll get youin a minute from Gizraelodge. Emmy Award
winners TAMRAA Braun from General Hospital,Fanola Hughes who previously won, and Cencio
(01:17:24):
Wachos, Michelle Stafford, who lasthas won in twenty years as on the
Young and Rustlers, Katherine Kallilaine onthe Bowls and the Produceful, and on
the Node Out as Hope Logan Bowlingand Beautiful. So what we have is
(01:17:45):
four Daytime Emmy winners, a womanwho deserves her flowers every single time.
And I'm not just saying that. She really does deserve her flowers. And
you got somebody who finally put herstuff and lead. I'm so proud of
you girl. Yeah mm hmm honagayea. Nice to see her in there.
(01:18:10):
You know, it's very nice tosee her in there. Yeah.
Now do I want to Did Iwant to see Melanie Thomas Scott Hell?
Yeah? Probably yeah, but againI have to I don't. Again,
we don't know all who submitted andwho didn't submit. They're not gonna tell
us. I mean, well theywill we ask them. Yeah, look,
(01:18:31):
we're good secters. If not her, I also thought I'm gonna be
honest Ari Zuker, I will leavemy comment later for that. But also
stan Rot Okay, so let's justbreak it down here. When you see
him the day Time Emmy's especially acouple of years our Zucker has been the
(01:18:55):
safe of Dazuel Lives. When itcomes down to it, there was a
Yeah, she's a staple, justlike Peter Bergman, Eric brayden Our for
lead Brighton Jane, you know, stuff like that. And that's and that's
not saying that's bad like it's justwhen it comes down to Dazuel Lives,
you know, that's who you see. I said this when the nominations prepared,
I said, this is the categoryevery day's fan is going to look
(01:19:18):
at as well as daytime because weall know what's going on behind closed doors
with Ari and Dazel Alive. Isaid, And this was just me.
This is not a reflection of taketo your radio. I said that if
they were to put Ari up,would it be because of the lawsuit?
(01:19:38):
If she wasn't a part of thenomination, is it because of the lawsuit?
And here's the saying I said.Do I think King Corday put her
up? Yes? I do.Do I think the Academy didn't didn't take
her because they want to avoid youknow, conflict and controversy. Yes,
it is to me, And ifshe did, if they didn't at her
(01:20:00):
or you know, because of whateverpersonal or you know whatever, I will
say this, all right, putin the work as Nicole last year,
especially the bigger she deserves right. But again because of you know, and
and for those who are saying theywouldn't do that, They've done that at
the Emmys, Prime Time, They'vedone it, you know, at the
(01:20:21):
Oscars, They've done it at theGrammys, They've done it so many places
where because of what happened behind closeddoors, they you know, shunned up.
I'm hoping that's not the case, but half of me believes it,
you know, as a possibility. So I will say this, and I'm
not taking anything away from Tamra Braunbecause Tamra, my girl, put in
(01:20:42):
the work. She showed her hershe showed why she is tam Tams.
That's why I call her. Shedid pick scenes with Steve Burton because that
is her, that is her hercomfort zone and they have chemistry, you
know, no I detected. Iwill say, oh, yeah, this
(01:21:06):
is just I mean. And likeI said, there was another person from
Dazuelas that I was just like, damn, I would have loved to see
her on there, and that's SusanRogers. Mm hmmm. Because her victims
dues Her and alex Her, youknow, just getting herself together to me,
(01:21:29):
classics that is that is a classicleading lady right there. So I
really mad at this list. Again, this is a tight one. Yeah,
I'm like looking at everybody's like freakinglike I know pretty much with everybody
(01:21:53):
submitted because it doesn't take the rocketstile. But I will say I'm prepared
for shock. But I like tosee. This is what I like.
I like when I say new blood, it's it's not the same old,
same old. Yes, I meanwe've seen all these people, you know,
in certain categories before, but thisis a set. This is set.
This is a good freaking you know, this is a good one you
(01:22:15):
know out here y'all. So anyanything you have to say about this,
I'm I think, you know,I don't think I'm going to be disappointed
either way. Catherine is a pigchinner. I mean, if I see
(01:22:46):
I don't know, do I seeh a pattern? If it's gonna go
you say, because it's been JohnTorresten, could it be Cantherine this year
from and be taking it? Ilove, Well, I don't. I
(01:23:10):
don't want to say that. I'mglad Jackiet didn't put in or like that.
But it's nice to see Annika inthere, that she put herself in
there. She may up because sometimessometimes you know that I don't know what
happens, either they don't or theirthey they don't see them, and it's
(01:23:33):
nice to see Annaka up there.I will say, I mean, here's
the thing, you know, youhave some I'm gonna I think it was
Scott Clifton and I think it wasMaurice Branoff. Both did this a couple
of times. Is that even ifthey have the material, they bow out
to allow other people to get in. And I think we can all say,
(01:23:56):
whether you like the character Hope ornot, aren't the she showed up
last year? It was mostly herher evolution as she's been seeing in interviews.
We saw the evolution of Hope lastyear, and it was such a
wonderful change in seeing that with thecharacter, like we really get evolved with
(01:24:17):
her and and not for Enhing likethat was the story last year. That
was you know, her Liam bustedup, her and Thomas got together,
her going you know, against Stappy, her going against her mother, like
we saw Hope being confident. SoI'm you know, and I'm looking at
this too, and I'm thinking aboutwhen Jackie's first won. This was sort
(01:24:41):
of the same scenario where it wasnew Blood. But it's gonna be very
interesting to see what happened with themreal quick. For Supporting Performer in the
daytime dramas. For Actress, wegot Jennifer Garnish Place Donna, Lindsey Goffrey
as Sarah, Courtney Hope of Sally, Allison, Lena Summer, and Emily
O. Is when I'm going tosay this, now, I wish Brook
(01:25:02):
Kerr was in this category. Iknow that Tabiana also submitted. This is
again when I say Supporting Actress isreally a tough category to get into because
there's so many people that really hadthe material and it's like, Okay,
(01:25:25):
if I'm a voter, I'm goingto size it up. It's like,
Okay, this was really good, but damn, this was really good and
this was really good, and thiswas really good and if I could,
I would throw awards to everybody, but I did. That's how it is.
I'm glad I'm not the one right. This is an interesting category because
(01:25:47):
nobody has previously won. Really,we got all fresh faces, all fresh
faces now yes, we've had nomineesbefore, but somebody the litter is green,
right. I wish Emily dal willsay this about Emily O'Brien. I
(01:26:11):
wish he submitted as Teresa and notone. Do you know that as a
fact? Yeah, because well yeah, yeah, because of the previous year.
Yes again, but again that thisis a fat one now when it
(01:26:34):
comes to supporting after There's so manythoughts, but here we go. We
have Robert Goslins as had Daddy Marshallon General Hospital celebrating twenty years, and
on on Younger Russells today this weekBrighton James as the Vaughn Winter Yep,
(01:26:55):
right, yep, twenty years. We got Wally kurfi is justin. We
got a Martinez is Not on theBay and Mike Manning as Kleb on the
Bay. I'm gonna say this,I was pleasantly surprised with a Martinez who
has not won an Emmy in thirtyfour years. And then you got Mike
(01:27:16):
Manning who won last year. Hemakes a producer on the you know,
like he's all he's all on thebag. And then you got Wally Curse.
And I'm gonna say this right now, Wally. I don't know if
you did, but I'm glad thatthe strong, the strong submission was real
and that was justin Brighton. Heknows how to pick a real And then
(01:27:38):
you got Robert. I don't knowwhat Robert submitted. I'm surprised Darnell Turner's
not Yeah, I'm surprised Darnell Turner'snot on this list. I'm surprised that
Mark Grossman's not on this list.I'm surprised that Greg Vaughn's now and I'm
not saying it because of you knowthat read vrons down on this list.
(01:28:01):
I'm surprised that. And it's somethingelse too. I'm gonna say I'm surprised
Drake Holguston is not either or onany or lead or supporting. And I
will go safe for supporting again.Supporting is very hard, it is.
But and and even though I knowhe put himself on the Guest Performer real
(01:28:25):
Andrews should have been supporting, shouldhave been in the supporting category. It
should have been nominated. Yes,yeah, oh definitely agree with the unreal
Yeah, yes, that scene andand see no we didn't get a follow
(01:28:51):
up. And I would like toknow what happened. Okay, thank you.
I'm gonna say this because I watchedthe day Mike Manning and A Martinez
are wha, They're good. They'regood, Oh my gosh, like a
Martinez his character. So we don'thave time, Okay, I gotta tell
(01:29:13):
you'all, officeho, I got tocatch you up like the when I say,
okay, we all know a MartinaTina's either Enormous Cruise or when he
was royal in General Hospital, orwhen he was doing La Laws y'all remember
that, or when he was onOne Life to Live or Dinzuel Lives.
Right, Okay, we know aMartinez canna act. Like we've seen the
work on the Bay. He takesit to a whole new level. Mike
(01:29:38):
Manning, he made he oh mygod, him is Caleb. And then
there's we as always go to thisperson. We all know Matthew Asher,
right, you know him as asJack Debeau or you know, or over
there on Tom you know, youknow on General Hospital. His character on
the Bay is a broth of rushair. He plays creepy to the point
(01:30:01):
where it's not even funny. Ohmy god, something is creepy. Mary
Beth Evans puts in the work ChristianRogers puts in. I mean like it
is the who's who of your favoritedaytime actors. So when I say it's
like, we all know these actorsfrom their characters that they played on daytime.
(01:30:25):
However, when they're on the Bayand I just think they take it,
it's a whole different side of theiracting, which sometimes makes me irritated
because it's like, Okay, Iknow I've seen okay, perfect samples Chad
Duel real quick. I give GeneralHospital a lot of flags for how they
use Chad Duel because I feel asthough they're holding him back. This is
(01:30:48):
my opinion that the opinion takes you'reready on the bay. When he was
on the bay, it was like, well, like I want that on
my screen. You know, youhad Eric Monsov on there, You had
Massa Madison on there. You youI mean Brian gas whoa yes, Like
(01:31:14):
I'm just I'm literally And that's thatgoes for all digital series is when you
see your favorite actor like Venice iscoming back to seat seven, his Crystal
Chattelle is dropping the uh the castlist one by one. When you start
watching these shows, you're gonna havea newfound appreciation for that actor. Yeah,
(01:31:35):
and the people behind the scenes solong lived, the digital world,
the daytime community and all that jazz. Okay, okay, So anyway then,
but like man, real quick, guest performer the category that has changed
so many times that I've lost counts. Originally it was an original character,
(01:31:59):
Then there was an episode count. Then it was you can be a previous
character as long as you made acertain quota. Then it was you know,
just everybody can just submit. Sothe nominees for guest Performing in the
Daytime Drum series. The nominees arecelebrating thirty eight years with his lovely wife
that we currently stay on Young andRussells as Darian Jenkins Highland and Ashby as
(01:32:23):
Cameron Carrick. Yup. Then wehave the lovely, the talented Ashley Jones
is doctor Fridget Forster, the Boding, the beautiful CBS last year's winner,
and our favorite Tvy mom Alli Millsask the Weber on General Hospital. Oh
(01:32:43):
here's the shaker right here, folks. God Peers, Yes, the God
Peers as Mike Young o naybus JonOkay, we don't have the rights to
that, apparently, And then wehave d one. The only the one
that I call from jumps Dick VanDyke as mystery Man plus Timothy rom On,
(01:33:10):
Danzuel eyes On. Oh geez, that is tough. Hey, what
it's tough if you go by theoriginal rule, dig Van Dyke fits it.
(01:33:31):
Original character only there for a shortarc rolled out. If you take
a look at how they've played it, where if you was there for a
certain episode count as a returning character. While technically speaking, Lending and Ashley
(01:33:51):
makes that quota Ali Mills and Ilove Ali not being guest performer even though
she was there for seventeen episodes. The problem is is that she's already won
in this category. General Hospital hashad this pattern of the guest performers have
(01:34:12):
gone over to supporting. It happenedwith Max Gail, and it happened with
Renee Watt. So this is kindof like one of those where now because
I can actually say this, Ithink I can say this guest performance opened
up and to also include the youngerperformer, meaning that the guest performer was
(01:34:32):
pretty much like just everybody can justyou know, go. If you couldn't
get into this category, this category, you can go into this category we
need a different rule asap. Thisis because the controversy is about Ali.
Now I watch Neighbors, and bythe way, shout out to everybody who's
joining the Neighbor's board to find outwhy they got nominated. Mitt Young does
(01:34:56):
appear in a limit episode count.I just ain't thinking he's borderlined. He's
borderline. Between the two rules isgoing to be interesting because everybody's saying who
(01:35:17):
should get it based off of certainthings. I will say this, if
they play this by the book, may be an upset of the night too.
I gotta get on Neighbors and youdo. Amazon. Yeah, And
(01:35:40):
the best part is they didn't lookback. And okay, so real quick
because this was a controversy. Neighborsqualified because okay it was. It's an
Austy soap that was on Austie television. They canceled the show like two years
ago, Like yeah, two yearsago. Amazon and Fremantle take it up,
(01:36:00):
which is American base. Therefore, they did promote because the rule did
say if they promoted in heavily inAmerica on American you know, streaming,
it would be considered for the daytime. Emmy. Amazon did do that.
Amazon, they promoted it in Americantelevision, so there you go. So
(01:36:20):
it's gonna be interesting. And thenof course the daytime drama series The Bay,
a on pop Star, The Balland the Beautiful CBS, Dave's Allowed,
Pikot General Hospital, ABC, Youngand Russellers and neighbors don't see dott
it. Okay, I'm gonna saythis. We got sick, we got
(01:36:46):
yeah, well yeah, we gotsix yeah and son just tell you so,
let me tell you we can.You gotta think about this, David.
Do you remember many moons ago therewas at least seven or in the
category of daytime drama? Yep?Do you remember the year? Do you
(01:37:10):
remember the year where we had thefour soap but the only submitted three episodes
of three shows for Best Drama Series. I remember that. I'm going to
tell y'all something right now, Getready, because it's now branching out.
And the thing is is that yearsago brad Bell, King, Corday,
(01:37:35):
I believe it was Mal Young orJosh and Frank all signed a document saying
that they were okay with opening itup with digital content like The Bay and
Dennis and Anacostia, who has previouslywon Emmys. They was at the creative
lifestyle and I still call it lifestyleWars even though it's creative arts and everything.
(01:37:59):
But they were to be brought tothe mainstream because y'all remember last year
they tried to do it with theprime time and they shut it down.
They're considered soaps with the international brand. This is just like we're beyond Salem.
They're testing the waters. Yep.Not next year, right right,
(01:38:21):
Not next year's Emmys, but thefifty third Annual Daytime Emmys. Be prepared
to see more in the drama seriesbecause we're gonna have a new soap opera,
which is The Gates coming out.Be prepared to see maybe the Boulevard
on there and the Bay and Veniceand Anacostia. The world of soaps and
(01:38:46):
the Daytime Emmys are changing. Theynot like it. There's a category we're
all hoping that comes back next yearbecause we're seeing the younger performers. But
we all kept saying we wanted tochange, we wanted to change in the
daytimes drum in the Daytime Emmys.Well, guess what. Welcome to the
(01:39:09):
new world. Honey, here wecall all that's are off now again.
Drama series I'm gonna tell you rightnow. I'm just gonna say this,
if the Bay or neighbors ones.I love my bowl, I love my
(01:39:29):
days, I love Jas and Youngand Ross. Y'all know I've rid or
out for y'all, But y'all gonnahave to wake up. If anything,
the gates the gates to the factthat we're getting new soap. Y'all better
wag up. Wake up now, that's bold, just yep, because you
get better get your crept together.Seeos tell me, y'all better get your
(01:39:51):
together right now because real quick,we're gonna talk about this real quick.
I'm gonna skim it through David.Sugar, Sugar, Honey, honey,
ye have formed the bone in thebeautiful? Were you surprised? I was
not, But I have to tellyou I did not. I do not
(01:40:15):
remember the time when Michael and Laurenwent went to see Shila in there.
I know I can't recall that time. Shit, Okay, they thought it
was Sheila, but that was Sugarat the time. Uh huh. Here's
(01:40:39):
what I will say. But theydid, but she didn't. But Lauren
said she didn't know at that timethat was Sugar. Somebody said on social
media to take a look. Ithink this was like maybe a couple of
months ago or of the opening credits, and look at Kimlyn Brown, because
(01:41:00):
at first Kimlyn Brown was like, you didn't see a reflection of Sila in
the mirror in the window. Takea look a couple of weeks ago at
her intro there is two versions ofher in the with like it's literally a
reflection. So are they trying wasthey trying to see bow? Y'all saying
(01:41:24):
y'all slip because I see what you'redoing. See Bowl, you get the
credit because sometimes you make us thinkcrazy. I'm starting to think, like,
was that draw sign telling us thatobviously you know, because I said,
there's no way that could be Sheilathat died. No way you're gonna
put Shila out like that, andno offense to Steffie. But the only
person that should killed Sheila is Lauren. Just just saying this is classic soap.
(01:41:56):
This is classic soap because there's atwist. We just don't. We
have to connect the doc. Weare the detective, just like Deacon okay
when he saw when he saw thenot because we kept saying the only way
for us to know if it wasSheila or not? Was the Toes when
we saw the ten Toes and SeanKennedy who it was. While well,
(01:42:24):
it goes back to okay, itgoes back to when Sheila came. When
I do Sheila, I'm doing quotations, came to Stephanie's house, right right.
Sheila wouldn't Sheila wouldn't be that mellow. And I kept saying that.
I was like, there's no waythat's Sheila, because we know Sheila.
Sheila would not be creeping up andthe like ti through the window doing all
(01:42:49):
that. She'd be like this,She'd be like waiting for Steffie with a
thunderheads. She's right there, Likethat's right, I'm stalking you. So
it was. And she didn't evenput a fight. That was another thing.
So I've been saying from jump,I said that sugar, that's sugar.
But I'm now curious, how longhas this been going on? This
(01:43:15):
Sugar takes Shila? Where is Sheila? Yeah? Right, Like I want
to know how this is gonna becausenow Sheila has become a victim. But
I'm going to say this, Idon't need for them to redeem her.
It's just now Sheila, you nowhave a taste of your own medicine.
If that's the case. We knowthat Clint Howard that's performer for next year,
(01:43:42):
the brother of Ron Howard, DonnaRon Rownnie Howard Happy Day, Big
Tom director, the father of BruceHoward, you know, is going to
be on as a homeless man. With more information about this, But it
was also nice to see Lauren onthe boat. See okay for new viewers,
(01:44:03):
I love the fact that again wedid the flashback and we did the
backstory because I think that was reallycrucial for this. I said this last
night, Sheila has more of amainstream or Bowl than Young and the Rocks,
which means when and I said that, it's because Sheila has been on
(01:44:23):
the Bowl and Beautiful throughout almost thirtyyears. Yeah right, So yeah,
I love the fact that Lauren isthere to to talk to her, to
talk to Deacon about it. I'mhere for it. I'm here for this
storyline. This is bolt, thisis this is my vot vote, right
(01:44:46):
because I want to know. Iwant to know where Sheila is. You
know, and you're saying, howlong right that Sheila that Stephie punched,
right? Was that Sheila that diggit was kissing. Mmm, how is
(01:45:06):
thing gonna feel about this? ButI will say Ridge Doorsa k played Ridge
right on this by saying, look, you know something like she did,
like let us have that like ifyou want to like memorialize her, you
know, every once in a while, put it, you know, flower
in the corner and do a littlechung kong. I was like, you're
(01:45:28):
all rich to saying that. Iwas like, you so wrong for that.
I was, I can't with this, But I will say I'm enjoying
the storyline. And shout out toLaurence Saint Victor and Heather tom because they're
the ones who they were behind theten Toes had the time directed that episode.
(01:45:49):
Laurence sat Victor wrote it. Soshout out to yo guys, so
in case y'all that now. Yeah, so okay, this this is a
story about Sheila Carter Ju And againI kept saying because because that's gonna make
me questioned, like how long?Like when did the swifts happen? Yep?
(01:46:13):
Because we know that Sugar has beencontacting Sheila, Yes, we do,
so could have been you remember whenSheila was talking to Keli Yes,
at the at the restaurant. Iwanted if that was just sugar. I
wanted if that was sugar because shewas too nice to her. I mean,
(01:46:36):
like when I say nice, Imean she was too sweet to be
Sheila sweet. Hmmm, interesting,no doubt. So okay, so she
(01:46:58):
was little laid back when she left, Stephie hit her like that exactly.
You know what I'm gonna thing youare? Yeah, so this is gonna
be really interesting. Let's see whatelse tapped in because we got because we're
(01:47:18):
running out of the tome, soI'm gonna try to cover all the stories
on days of our lives we got. Holly pretty much told the truth to
Nicole and to everybody. Brady feelsa certain type of way. Tate and
and Teate and Holly are trying tosneak behind their parents back to see each
(01:47:39):
other. They rushing that. Idon't know where that's coming from. Yeah.
Yeah. E Jay was told, hey, look, if you don't
do a B C or D,you do realize when n Cole finds out
about you knowing about the drugs ring, she's gonna drop you like a hot
potato. I agree, but dayslook, okay, okay, I don't
(01:48:02):
know what is going on, butI get it. Okay, Nicole and
Brady are not going to be endgames. They were good, they were good,
they were good together, but they'renot. And usually the silk trait
is okay, it's the next generationis to get it right. The problem
(01:48:24):
is is that you didn't play thebeach and to me, I feel as
though this is like Ali and Tripp, where Ali, you know, a
q's trip or something, and thenthey became like a couple and it's just
something that's not collecting, something's notworking. I wish they would take their
time. And this is where I'mgonna say they don't know. It's behind
(01:48:45):
the scenes stuff interfered with the storylinebecause we have a recast, but we
also have ari Ari. Yeah,so I don't know if that played a
part, Like I don't see. That's the storyline that I'm just like so
scratching my head about because in acouple of months we're gonna be getting ready
to wrap that up with the cold. So she leaves around what Jay July
(01:49:10):
Oh that's said think and we needsomething to happen in the meantime with her,
right, I mean something in herlife and not I mean in Ari's
life something Yeah, I will saythough the actors who plays Holly, she
stands her on her own. Ilike her. I like her good because
(01:49:34):
you have a girl who is cravingattention from her mother, who is everywhere
else. To me, if theycrafted correctly, Holly is going to be
that character that we invest in becausethere are some things that she doesn't know
about her mother. Because she's likesaying, well, I'm want my third
(01:49:57):
Taklie Sweety is your fourth stepfather, right, Vander was one of them.
You see a girl hurt and shefeels neglected. We need more than we
need more, We need more fromthat pov. And also Daves, can
(01:50:18):
you get Nadia? And the reasonI say that because that's the surrogate she
carried her and there's something there.I like. I said, I like
the character of how I like goingout with her. She's she's gonna be
that character that spends out of control, but you feel as though you gotta
(01:50:39):
give her a husband. Right,She's like, okay, you know what
she is. She's Sammy. She'smore Sammy than Nicole because Sammy wanted the
attention and she felt as though evenlike Okay, think about it. When
(01:50:59):
Belle was born, Maul Lena lovessome bell. Sammy was kind of put
on the side, you know what, Like y'all tell us who is Holly
more like? Is she like Nicole? Or is she like Samuel a little
bit? Because you know, Ialways say that the rivals on these shows
give birth to their to their kids. I lie on Bowl and Beautiful even
(01:51:25):
though she's coming into her home Brookness. For while Holt was acting like Taylor
and stuff was acting like Broke.Yeah, so you guys, let us
know what you guys think. Solet's see real quick. Is he Bobby?
Is he Robert? Is he whoeverhe is? He's yeah, for
(01:51:53):
sure? I think I don't know. Well I in real life, listen,
in real life, would you signthe papers anyway, even though you
don't know who you were? Bye? I don't. Okay, I feel
(01:52:14):
it so on tough too much. But no, it's because, Okay,
if I wasn't up to no good, then yet I would sign the papers.
But because I'm up to no good, I'm gonna cause some Shenannikins.
And I'm sorry, I don't thinkthis is a twin. I don't like
I said I'm staying on my ownisland. I don't think this is a
d I d I just think thathe is a jerk and he's trying to
use both women. He's trying toplay both women at the same time.
(01:52:38):
I think, Stephanie, you're stillstupid. I still love you, but
you're still stupid because you're gonna believeeverything under the sun. Jada, I
don't need you to fall for him. And see, that's my whole thing
is that there's guys and women whodo this kind of stuff where they pretend
that they're sick to doing his littlebuddy do boo, and they tripped these
(01:52:59):
people into doing their bidding for them. I don't need for them to these
two smart women to do it.No so original thing that he might be
just faking it. He's a player, he's a con. I'm sorry.
No, oh no, what's Idoing this today? Okay, so real
(01:53:23):
quick, because we got a shorttime General Hospital Jason and the tattooers was
explained. He got it because hewas thinking about all the people in his
life. He got the Metro halfof the Metro quarterback for Carly. Carly
And and John Jack Kate are flirtingoff his bed. But he is wrong,
(01:53:45):
but you know something is wrong?Who knows? Yeah, you knows?
What do you think he knows? But he can't put his finger on
it because I think, oh,I don't know. You should know that
(01:54:06):
something's wrong with why he's acting theirway? Right, he should have an
inclination. He kind of did realquick. He kind of did when he
was in it, when he waswatching his face and he was drawing it,
he felt like you know, againfor those at home, when you
(01:54:28):
take your medicine, if it's alow dose, you're going to seek like
you're going to feel a change, like wait, man, this is just
why do I feel dizzy? Whydo I feel like this? I literally
took my medicine. So yeah, and also full alert for those who saw
today's episode, the friendship between Asiaand Nina is so with hallelujah. Yep.
(01:54:49):
I know that's one change. Sothey shouldn't have never been friends.
Nope, and maar wasn't. Sinceyou watch, y'all got to tell me
real for next you too, andI have I have to admit. I
have to admit, Kendes, I'mI'm looking forward to the wedding. I
(01:55:13):
know something I'm gonna be curious atthis wedding because I feel it though something's
going to happen. I have Ifeel something is going to happen and it's
not gonna be good. I hopethey get married, let's put it that
way. Yeah, I don't know. They're talking about finances and all that.
You know, that's the curse rightthere, When people start talking about,
Okay, I got this much moneyand you got this much money,
(01:55:33):
how am I supposed to get thismuch money? I don't know. That's
a curse. And then on youngand a ross O so much on this
one. Okay, I'm gonna tryto go buy it real fast. We
got uh Connor blames himself for prettymuch everything that's done wrong in his parents
wife, and you got Jordan's whotold Harris, I'm your aunt, Jordan
(01:55:57):
Jordan's because mommy and daddy doesn't loveme, Rufful and Summers zebbed out.
All I gotta say is everybody gotyall emmy real from next year? Right,
yes, even that even that littleuh that broke me. I'm like,
but that's that's damn. That's reallife. That's how Colts get started.
(01:56:21):
Yeah, that is I can't.I can't. I hope they get
Harrison back. They both they bothJack and Victor. They like poo poo
done. Chance trying to help outand you know Chance got his nose hurt.
(01:56:51):
