(00:01):
This is the FCB podcast network,Turn it Uppectation, the latest celebrity news
and gossipation. It's tea time withRow on the Outlaws Radio show. All

(00:22):
right, jol So, I gota few different stories. It's a lot
to keep up on, you know. So it's a lot of tea that
be going around. But we're gonnago ahead and we are going to go
with it's been a lot of beef. I do want to say, there's
been a lot of beef behind alot of rappers, females and males as

(00:42):
of like truthfully, like the pastweek or so. So anyway, these
names you wouldn't expect to be beefinglike. They're probably some of the most
humble ones out there, which isj Cole and Kendrick Lamar. So I
guess you know they've been having someI don't really know the whole backstory entirely,

(01:03):
but I do know that Jake Colehe was dissing Kendrick Lamar and one
of his most recent songs that hedropped. But then he turned around and
he was like, that's the lamestthing that I've ever done in my life.
And I moved in a way thatI spiritually feel bad. So originally
he felt like he felt the need, like he was obligated to respond to

(01:26):
Kendrick Lamar because all, that's whatthe fans wanted, that's what social media
wanted, that's what the people wanted, and so he say that's why he
came with that. But then hewas like, yeah, this don't feel
right. You know, let mepublicly acknowledge this and apologize and to me
my personal opinion. I feel likeI have so much respect for that because

(01:53):
it I don't. It don't alwayshave to be like that, you know
what I mean, especially coming fromJake Cole. You know, he's,
like I said, he's one ofthe most humble ones there is and you
wouldn't expect something like that from him. No, instead of giving my response
we're gonna go to dun today,I'm taking say what he was saying before

(02:17):
the show. Jake Cole is asucker. Let's just put it out there.
He's a sucker. This whole doesn'tfeel right in my spirit. It's
a farce because let me let mejust let me just explain something to everybody
here. Rap is a competitive sport. I could understand if j Cole actually
had if J Cole was actually oneof those type of rappers and Kendrick was

(02:40):
one of those type of rappers andthey had those affiliations in a beef could
lead to something different. No,this is this was a rap of who
got the best pen, who's thebest, who's actually the best lyricist,
who got the best bars in thegame. That's what this was about.
This wasn't no gang stuff. Thiswas anything like that. It never has

(03:01):
been with Kendrick. It never hasbeen with Cold, So we was never
getting to that. So J Colejust don't want to smoke. Although even
though J Cole for the last tenyears has basically been saying in all of
his raps because I listen, hasessentially been saying I'm the best and if
anybody gets out of the line,I'm gonna smoke him. And if and

(03:23):
if y'all want to smoke, comeget it, and if you got a
problem with me, let me know, because I smoke a rapper all of
this stuff. He's been saying thisfor a decade, and so when Kendrick
poked his head out, then hewont to cop Please, No, he's
a sucker. And then let metell you this Kanye West, who's not
even an MC, not even aquote MC, like we considered he's not

(03:44):
one of those type. J Coledissed him when he was two days out
of a mental rehabit out of mentalrehab, J dissed him with false profits.
So his spirit was okay to thisa guy to dis a guy who's
not an MC, who's an threat, who's fresh out of out of like
a mental hospital. But when somebodysays, okay, you say you the

(04:05):
best, I think I'm the best. You you you you you got a
stomach ache. You don't want toyou don't want to play them. It's
not a competitive sport anymore. Weknow, and this is And let me
tell you something. Okay, mymom is from the Bronx. Okay,
my family herd line in our familywhere our family is southern, but through

(04:26):
the Great Migration, our people wentto New York. So okay, this
is in my blood here. Raphas always been a competitive sport. And
I can tell you I would understandif this was like YG on the West
Coast and like, uh, like, let's say YG and Schoolboy Q and
one of them was like, nah, we grown, we don't need those

(04:48):
guys have certain affiliations with certain organizations, and you understand what I'm talking about.
If you know the rap game, that would make me uncomfortable because like,
Okay, somebody can die behind this. This ain't that ain't a J
Cole and Kendrick. This is justwho got the best, who got the
best bars, who really the best? That's what That's what this was about.

(05:11):
And J Cole didn't want no partof it. This isn't about maturity,
This isn't about growth, This isn'tabout any of that. This is
this is J Cole not actually beinga part of the culture. That's what
this really is. This is JCole's fans who will tell you no,
you just gotta be smart enough tohear it. You just have to have
an elevated level of knowledge. Ohreally, Because he didn't want to go

(05:32):
there with a guy who was betterthan him, That's what that was.
This is like if if if Lebrondid all of this talking about, well,
I think I'm actually the goat.Now I'm the go I'm I'm the
best player of all time. Ifsomebody said, hey, I'll build a
time machine and you can go playJordan one on one and Lebron said,

(05:53):
Nah, they don't feel right inmy spirit. That's what this is.
That's what that means. He don'twant to smoke a sucker, And that's
cool. You can just be that, but don't ever tell me that.
You don't ever tell me you thebest rapper in the game ever again,
because you not, because when thetime came to prove it, you back
down. Let me say, letme just say this as a student of

(06:15):
hip hop, everybody got they moment, right, everybody got that got they
moment. J co nas you don'twant it? Would hold Na said?
Oh really? Oh really? Imean we we got plenty of examples,
plenty of examples of guys who nevergot to a level of like physical violence
or or shooting, who was justlike you dissed me. Well, I'm

(06:40):
gonna show you I got the bestbars. So y'all can miss me with
this whole J Cole is J JColeis a sucker, and J Cole didn't
want to compete, and J Colegot exposed for what it really is.
So here's the thing. I'll justsay one thing and then I'll give it.
So J Cole is he's still agood rapper. I still like J

(07:02):
Cole's music. But here's the thing. There was one tweet that I think
was a perfect describe this perfectly. It was like J Cole back and down
to the first rap battle that wasnever in any threat of turning violence.
Ever. Wasn't nobody about to pullup on Kennedy. Wasn't nobody about to

(07:24):
pull up on J Cole with thegun? That's come on, man.
That was never like that. Andthey don't even have clue. And Darby,
DARBYO is laughing because you know I'mright, You know I'm right.
But but I think he liked JCole and I like Jacob I do.
I like I like J Cole. But you can never ever ever be one
of those guys ever again. Youjust can't. You just can't. You're

(07:48):
not that guy because no, likeyou said, this isn't even dangerous.
This isn't I mean, this ain'teven I could even understand a guy like
me right, and he's been inthe news for a bunch of stuff,
But a guy like a battle situationwhere Meek Mill could get dangerous because of
where he comes from and some ofthe guys he rolled with, right not

(08:09):
necessarily saying meek is dangerous. Butsome of the guys in certain crews may
be dangerous. That's why I said, like if it was yg or like
when Nipsey was still alive, orlike you know the game. You know
these some of these guys got certainaffiliations where it's like you need to be
careful with those. Think about that. There's a certain element that maybe they

(08:30):
won't do it, but there's guysthat they roll with or guys that they
care about or care about them thatwould appreciate what you have to say.
But Kendrick Lamar and j Cole really, come on, man, stop it.
Stop. This ain't that this isjust who got the best team.
This ain't no different than than ifyou talking smack at the lunch table about

(08:54):
I'm the best basketball player in theschool, and then I come in to
lunch room and say, no,I'm the best basketball player in the school
right now. Yeah, we're gonnasettle it on the court at recess.
We're gonna go after school or thethird period in gym class that we're gonna
really see. That's all that wasand wasn't up for it all right,

(09:15):
Robin, your thoughts if you gotany more thoughts on this if not go
on to the next You know,I was I was gonna cut Dante out
before, you know, originally Iwas gonna try. I was gonna try
to, I was gonna try togo up against him. But I don't
think I'm gonna get this one.So I'm gonna let I'm gonna I'm gonna
let that one go, just thisone time, Dante, So don't don't

(09:37):
take it to the head. Hejust didn't want to smoke. And I'm
telling you, I think that's okay. If you don't want to smoke,
that's cool. Yeah. Yeah,So I'm gonna go ahead and move along.
Let me mind my business now.So we're gonna go ahead and actually
go to the next battle. UhSo the next battle is Chris Brown.

(10:03):
Uh he dropped a new track,Tender, So he I'm gonna try to
say this. What I'm saying this, Okay, I'm gonna try to say
this. So basically, I'm gonnachange the words around a little bit,
just a little bit, all right. So he says people talking about they'd
be loyal, but yo, heprobably at the spot right now eating d

(10:28):
You know what I'm saying I'm next. You know what I'm saying. Right
then, he says, wait, hold up, wait was that himber No,
So that one, that one isQuevos, that one's Puevos. Let
me come back to that. Letme come back to that. Okay,
So christ start off, So said, what now I'm gonna come back to
Quevo. Okay, I'm gonna comeback to Cuevo because I cannot start off

(10:50):
with Quavo. Okay, you cannotstart off with because Cbo response. Okay,
God, Chris Brown says, okay, now f in my old bees.
Ain't gotta make us equal snipping thatnineteen forty two because I don't do
Cuevo freak bees. She like Hatsumigos, not the migos. I don't
f with bougie bees man. That'sthe s is all the hype. So

(11:16):
then, because you know who he'stalking about, right yes, okay,
So Cuevo responds and he says, they talking about they be loyal. You'll
probably at the spot right now, eating d You know what I'm saying,
I'm next. You know what I'msaying. He says, I'm in the

(11:39):
spot. He signs the stones, signs the stones you did the bee wrong
and now the bee gone. Sheposted with a thug. Yeah, with
a thug call me the bee phone. She won't come home. Don't beat
her up. Don't beat her up. It must be the truth. Be

(12:00):
the drugs. You need to crossout your pluck. Oh damn wow.
They all because of Carucci. BecauseChris Brown. So that's what it's about.
It's about Chris Brown used to dayCruci. He was maddening love with

(12:20):
her. Screwed up like you know, you know how when a man screws
up and then they realize dang, you know. So I mean you don't
know, but you know, youknow, because I'll be talking crap exactly.
I'm a car carrying member of theFaithful Black Man Association, So I'm
go ahead. So you know,he messed up with Carucci. It's been

(12:43):
it's been years years. He actuallycame out with a song at one point,
like basically trying to publicly apologize toher. Even said her name in
it. So that's basically standing outsidethe window with your boombox trying to sing
get your girl back. You know. So now he saw it because Quevo's

(13:03):
dating her and this just came outof the blue. Like like, give
it up, love, give itup. She's gone, She's gone.
So I have a question. It'skind of related. But I was just
thinking about this when you said that, like the whole standing outside with your
boom box trying to get your girlback. Has it ever worked on you?

(13:28):
Nobody has ever actually tried that itmight No, No, yeah,
I can't really say because no,I guess it really all depends on you
know, it really depends the person. It depends on the situation, who

(13:48):
the person is, what the historyis. It really all depends because otherwise
it's going to be singing like Rihannawhen she said you standing outside, she'd
be dogging them, you know.Otherwise that's playing in my head and I'm
gonna stand there laughing like no,Bode. You know, all right,

(14:11):
I'll tell you your thoughts. Yeah, I don't know, man, Chris,
Chris always in some type of sometype of mess. I don't know.
I'm like Darby, I can't relate. I'm a member of the Faithful
Black Man Association. Remember, andI don't know what christ is because I

(14:31):
was told black men don't cheat,So I don't know what he is.
You know what's funny though it's funnythat Robin did this story after the last
story because Wednesday, I will sayabout Chris Brown. Chris Brown got more
heart than some of these rappers.Oh Chris Brown and go get them hands?
Oh yeah yeah. J Cole thoughhe is so he is really a

(15:00):
discription. He wrote a Remember rememberthe whole letting nods dout? You let
him down again, Jay, you'reletting eyes down again. Jay. I
like Jake, but that is thepast. Leave the past in the paste.
This passionately and because his family gotNew York Times, they feel this,

(15:22):
you know, a hip hop Theydon't play this is the spirit of
hip hop? Though, how couldyou do this? How you always talk
about if anybody get out there?I'm done, Yes, I do.

(15:45):
I actually have a very interesting topic. And so I'm gonna give the topic
and then I'm gonna give my inputand y'all can do. But whatever you
may with that. So I andforemost I do not know how to pronounce
this girl's dang name. So Aoki, we don't go with that. Aoki

(16:10):
Lee Simmons. So that's Russell Simmons'daughter. Okay, it's his youngest daughter.
So she's twenty one years old. She's very beautiful, but she's very
child mind, like you know whatI mean, Like she she just she's
still young minded, you know whatI mean. So she was dating a

(16:33):
sixty five year old man, andit's it's at first, I want to
say, this blows my mind alittle bit because I have a niece who
is going on twenty one years old, and I will kick her. Listen,

(16:56):
I'm so glad my niece is sojust. She'd she'd be into books,
going to school and out the way. I couldn't even I would mess
her up. But I don't,you know, that's no, No,
twenty one years old dating a sixtyfive year old man. So I do
want to say, yup, yup, We're gonna just go with that,

(17:17):
just you know, exclamation three ofthem exclamation marks. Ew. I can't
even imagine trying to kiss that man. I cannot, no. And only
she was like trying to get himto stop at certain stores and like get
certain foods, and they were likeout of the country, and like the

(17:38):
way she was asking and he wastotally disregarding it, like laughing and just
like oh he he. And he'sgot a strong accent and it's just like,
cis you over here trying to havea sugar daddy, and you ain't
even getting the sugar, you know. Like they ended up splitting up obviously
within that week, and it's probablybecause she didn't get what she wanted,

(18:03):
but or he got what he wantedone of those two ways. But I
will say this, there is Ipersonally would say there should be a certain
set limit on an age group. And even if people say, like as
far as dating, you know whatI mean? But people say like,

(18:25):
oh, she's twenty one years old, she's grown. I had a friend
he was commenting on the post andI seen his comment and I was like,
I'm like, now, come on, now, like if we're gonna
be anything, let's be for real. Like she's a young girl. She
still has a child mind, shestill has a lot of things to learn

(18:45):
to be dating somebody of that age. And he's like basically saying, like
she's an adult. That's just tooconsenting adults dating And you know it doesn't
matter, No, it really does, it really does. She still don't
know anything. How do I knowthat? Because my niece is twenty years
old. I'm teaching my niece howto learn about credit, building credit and

(19:07):
how to drive and how to catchRTA buses to get to work and all
this stuff. I'm teaching her aboutthis and cars like so, no,
no, it's not she's still achild. Well, I mean, the
loss says she's an adult. Hermind and her body looks like she's a

(19:30):
damn twelve year old. F outof here. No, I'm not approving
it. I'm just saying. Imean, it is legal, I'm not.
I don't approve it. I don'tcondone it. I'm just say,
your man got to take a pillevery time y'all go to you know.

(19:52):
Oh uh, I'll tell you whatyou think about this. It's a very
very big age gap, and ofcourse it's an uncomfortable age gap. But
there could be some maybe like afinancial arrangement or of course, you know,

(20:14):
so you know, in that case, I don't judge just because I
mean, like listen, man too, consenting adults. I'm not a moralist
when it comes to you know,I don't as long as that is,
as long as they are legal. She's not a child, that's right,
I mean legally aid you know intwenty one. Hey, y'all just be

(20:37):
safe and that's it, you knowwhat. You know what's wild though,
it's like he can still obviously hecan still get her pregnant. Of course
listen, and you know what Ikept thinking, who was the one?
Was it Mariah the scientist? Wasit her where she said? I might

(20:59):
be wrong. I apologize if Igot the wrong person. But he's talking
about daddy. Am I your baby? I can't even imagine. I can't
even imagine. So this young girltalking to this old man. Hell no,
and then your baby. Daddy's soold, like he gonna die before
the baby even born, like comeon. Yeah. But at the same
time, though, I mean, women don't say much when the cougars be

(21:23):
going to get the boy toys andall of that. Oh I do,
I do? And listen a motherof an Okay, it's really all depends.
It really really all depends. Likeit really all depends on the age
gap. Like I won't I won'tbutt in, or I won't say anything

(21:48):
to a particular age you know whatI mean, Right, I'll be talking
about sixty five year old Yeah,of course, I mean this is absurd,
But twenty one years old dating sixtyfive year old woman. I'm a
crack jokes on him every day allday. Now, now let me ask
you this before before we move on. All right, Dante, if you

(22:12):
did not want kids, because Iknow you want kids, If you did
not want kids, would you messwith a cougar? Uh? Probably probably
not. What's the what is acougar for me? I mean, I'm
they would be probably mid to latelike late forties, early fifties. No,

(22:37):
probably not. No, Well, you know if I didn't want children,
Yes, if you did not wantchildren, baby, she would have
to be I mean if she dependedon what she you know, what she
looked like, personality, all thattype of stuff. But yeah, maybe
if I didn't like if I didn'twant children, Yeah, you a man?
Old you asking amndess though, mangonna say yes, not necessarily think

(23:03):
about it. He's not guaranteed,so if I exactly, But I mean,
listen, let me mind my Ijust thought it'd be an interesting question.

(23:29):
I really actually have a friend that'sthe same friend that commented on that
post. I've actually known him foryears. I've known him for years well
so to speak, social media haveknown him. Well anyway, he is
I think he's about my age,and he actually dates cougars. He dates

(23:52):
older woman. He prefers them likegranny old, like old, and I'm
like, I'm je you, butI'm you know, do what you do?
Like that's cool, that's weird.I would, I would if if
she was fine and I didn't wantkids. Like the big sticking point for
me is that I want kids.So it just gets to a point where

(24:15):
even if you find as a cougarjust biologically, you know, that's a
problem. I mean, they canhave them. They're just gonna be old
when it gets it gets what thatswhen I say, it gets to a
certain point where it just don't workno more unless they hit menopause. Then

(24:36):
you did an't no good? Right, That's all right, you know what
I mean. So so yeah,so that's that's different. But if I
didn't want you, if I didn'twant kids, I consider messing with the
cougar. Y'all hear that. Y'allhear that. But I mean, I

(25:00):
you want kids. Therefore that's notan option for me because I do want
kids. If I did not wantkids, yes, I would consider it,
because some of these cougars be bad. I ain't gonna lie, you
know what I'm not even gonna lieto you. I have one particular friend,
she's one of my model sisters, and I can tell you she is

(25:25):
absolutely gorgeous, Like she looks veryvery young. She looks like because her
hair is like silver. But sheshe is just perfect in every aspect and
it looks like she just dyed herhair that color. And I'm like,
girl, you are bad. That'sthat's awesome. Go ahead, bad but

(25:47):
but bad, bad, bad,That's what I'm talking about. All right,
last thing before we go to breakthe the eclipse. Did you watch
it? What did you do?Where were you at? It was?
So, you know what? Iwas actually at work before Rate before it

(26:08):
as it was starting, and Ihurry, even grabbed the kids snacks and
grabbed them juice and Mommy's juice, and you know what juice I grabbed.
But and you know, I Harrythink came home. I knew I wouldn't
going to make it nowhere else. The sun is usually shining like rate perfectly

(26:30):
where I'm at, And it wasawesome. I can tell you, it
was the most magical thing. Likethat's the best I can explain it.
My eyes actually started watering up duringthe eclipse because I'm a nature nerd naturally
judge me if you judge me,if you may. But I absolutely loved

(26:55):
it, except accept the part whereDarky all got to tell you this party
right. So my daughter mind mindyou, all the listeners. She is
ten years old, okay, soshe's at that preteen stage and she occasionally,
she'll try, she'll try with thelittle the little attitude occasionally, but

(27:18):
she know who her mama is.During the eclipse, while the moon was
passing, and she says something smartto me, I said, who the
hell are you talking to You musthave thought that was your brother speaking and
he's sitting there outside as the moonis passing, right, and she goes
you. I said, oh,no, you ain't talking to me,
and then she gets smart again.I said, girl, wait till it

(27:41):
is Wait till this moon pass overthe sun, wait this wait, wait
till this moon passed. I hadto sit there and I had to tell
myself, Robin, everybody's emotions aregoing to be all over the place right
now because of the eclipse. It'llcause people to either just you know,

(28:02):
be very moody, just emotional, angry or tired. And I had to
remember that, so I had totake a step back, but it was.
It was absolutely amazing, Dante, did you see it? Yeah,
I was at work, and uh, we went outside. I spent maybe
a better part of an hour justwatching it get dark and watching it,

(28:22):
you know, feeling it get coldoutside, and then you know, putting
the glasses on it, and finally, you know, we were at the
full eclipse, saying like wow, this is this is really really cool,
like really really cool. I wentoutside without a jacket, and I didn't
realize that it was gonna get thatcold, and so I yeah, that

(28:45):
was the only the only negative.I knew it would get dark, I
knew, but I didn't know itwas gonna get cold and obvious. I
mean I should have write the sunwas blocked out, so of course you
know it would the temperature were cool. But all in all, man,
it was actually a really cool experience. I had missed, like the partial
clips that we had in twenty seventeen, I think it was I missed that
one. But this, I mean, this was actually really really incredible,

(29:11):
once in lifetime experience. And yeah, man, just for like those ten
minutes, it gets midnight pitch black, and then all of a sudden you
know, we're back like nothing everhappened like that. That was it was
really really cool, really really cool. So I saw a little bit of
it. I was out of townobviously, so it wasn't as like you

(29:33):
had full I forget what they calledit, but you were able to see
it fully up here in Cleveland.I was able to see it partially,
but I did see it. Itgot all dark and everything, and you
know, one of the things Ithink it made me think about that an

(29:59):
important PERSPECTI give that. I don'tthink I hear enough people saying when it
comes to things like this, isthat event should show the miraculousness of creation,
because it's it's damn near mathematically numericallyimpossible for what happened to happen,

(30:25):
and it still happened. And Ithink sometimes, man, you know,
everybody's always talking about the sun andthe moon and the stars and all of
this, and people get so caughtup in the creation, they fall in
love with the creation instead of theCreator. And I think it was just

(30:48):
seeing that was just another reminder tome of God's brilliance of how vast the
Uni verse actually is and how bigit is, especially like when you're learning
about how many miles, like thedistance from the Sun to the moon and

(31:11):
all those different things, how faraway they actually are, and to be
far away enough to not like forthe sun, to be far away enough
to not burn everything up, butstill be close enough to be able to
give us sunlight, you know whatI mean. It's just and then you
know, with the moon, andthen and how the like. It's miraculous

(31:36):
the way like. And it's justamazing to me that people would think that
all of these things just just happenby chance, that all of these are
just happy coincidences. You know.I think that people are really missing the
boat, and they're really missing thevalue of what they saw when they focus

(32:01):
solely on the creation and missed thefact that there was a creator of that
creation. To me, it wasjust it just showed the marvelousness and the
brilliance and the creativity of God,of the creator of the universe to have

(32:22):
something like that happen that you know, I've seen meteorologists say it's almost it's
almost mathematically and numerically impossible for aneclipse to happen. It has to like
the sun and the moon has tohit at the exact right spot at the

(32:43):
exact right time for this thing tohappen, and it's it's miraculous, you
know what I mean. I sawit was. It was so sad.
It was one of these astrologer influences, if you want to call them that,
that's what they call themselves. Iguess who saw the eclipse and saw

(33:06):
it was and they had got theyhad went down the road of like all
these crazy conspiracy theories and all ofthat, and they were like, you
know, this is the apocalypse, this is the end. And and they
you know, you could tell theywere in the like spiritualism and they called
and all that, and they endedup killing a family like it was a
murder suicide door again yeah yeah,on the highway and killed her man and

(33:31):
killed herself and all of this. And it's like, man, not only
is that tragic, but it's it'sa it's a warning. I think,
who always make sure that we havebalance in the perspective. The creation is
beautiful. The creation is beautiful. If you ever been outside at night and

(33:54):
a time like where it's a clearsky and you can see all the stars
and stuffautiful, It's beautiful when it'squiet Oh, it's absolutely beautiful. It
is. It is magnificent, youknow what I mean, Like it's absolutely
beautiful when you see a friend ofmine was an airplane today and they took

(34:19):
a picture of them being on theother side of the clouds, like above
the clouds, Like it's beautiful, absolutely beautiful, Like this earth, this
creation is amazing mm hmm. ButI also think we have to make sure
that we keep things in perspective. When I see that beauty and when I

(34:43):
see that logistic nature, I thinkabout the marvelous, Like how marvelous and
how brilliant and how creative the creatorit is, because it's in like people
act like believing that these things werecreated is some out there theory, when

(35:09):
it's like, no, it's theout there theory is believing that all of
this stuff just happens by accident,Like that's that's absurd, the thing that
all of these sorts of things justhappens. So when I look at when
I see things like the eclipse andand just the earth in general, just

(35:29):
the natural just nature, natural earthin general, it's just to me,
it's just a reminder of God's brilliance. That's what I see. This has
