Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, y'all, this is Nashville recording artist Ashley Barron and
you are listening to the Backstage Pass exclusively on KKTC
True Country ninety nine point nine and.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Welcome inside the Backstage Pass. Always a busy day powered
by the Sports Guys podcast dot com and out There
presented by our friends over at the Caadenbordonshow dot com.
Today's best country mix out there KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine and it's time to go, checkmate. I
always wanted to use that on the radio show. Now
I get the chance to do it. Her new album
is across all those digital streaming platforms. Ashley Baron joined
(00:33):
us her on the show My Friend, How you doing?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
I'm good? Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I appreciate you being here too. Well, let's talk about this.
I want to know your backstory and a lot of
people do out there for the listeners on ninety nine
point nine and Toason up into Colorado, the backstory of
Ashley Barron and how she got into country music because
I like to call it it's country music with an attitude.
There's some sass in it too, and there's really on
this record. There's a lot of that rock, up tempo
country that we're going to dive into as we go
(00:58):
throughout this, But talk about you backstory and just a
love for country music that got you into Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I was raised in a small town outside of Sacramento, California,
and honestly, it was my family that really got me
into music in general.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
We have a wide range of.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Music lovers in our family, from my brother who is
obsessed with Grateful Dead, my dad, who is a true
southern rock rock and roll guy, and my mom and
sisters who just love, love, love country music, and my
grandparents who really started the you know, traditional country roots,
and then I grew up on the early two thousand
(01:36):
and late nineties stuff. And that's kind of what this
whole new album really, you know, Showcases is my love for.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
All kinds of music.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
It really does. And here's something for everybody on there too.
And you know, I love this women's movement. You're kind
of right there with it too, with all this these
great ladies doing their thing with yourself and Hannah Ellis
and Ashley Cook and you know, look what Lanny's done
the last two or three years. Her track record kind
of speaks for itself on that talk about just what
that means for yourself as a female country artist. You know,
(02:08):
the CMAS are coming up this week obviously CMA Awards,
and then we're getting into the springtime with the Academy
of Country Music. It's just good to see so many
women actually kind of get that due diligence to really
step out there into the light and say, you know
what our time is now? Right?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
You know, I was raised with an amazing, strong mother
who had been through so much in her life, and
she always taught me that your trials and tribulations can
you know, be your biggest learning lesson to keep moving
forward in life. And I think that we all experience,
you know, our own challenges, but within all of that,
we're not alone. And so that's my biggest hope and
(02:46):
goal is that my music can just make people feel
like they are together and it's their own community and
that they're not going through life by themselves.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Talk to me about just the struggles in this industry.
Maybe some fans just don't see the struggles. They look
at the limelight. Of course, you got stepping out on
stage and you know, guitar in your hands, slinging it
and singing songs and then singing right back at you too.
And they're drinking beer, but I mean a lot of
it's in our favorite beverage of choice. They're necessarily have
to be beer. But at the same time, you guys
get a chance to do a lot of work behind
(03:16):
the scenes, the social media, this and that, the radio tours,
your sound guys, your band members to put together those
live shows and maybe fans don't see, you know, that
type of work that goes on. Talk about that for
me and a little bit of how hard this industry
is and some of the struggles you go through.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, you know, I would say that probably the biggest
struggle is social media, to be honest, and I know
that to be true for so many different people in
so many different industries. Right it's a highlight reel, and
so you can't help but compare yourself and see other
people doing this or that, and you're right, it doesn't show,
you know, the struggle of the everyday stuff that we
(03:51):
go through. But man, if you have the passion and
you have the drive, it's one of those things to
just block out the rest of the stuff and try
to always keep going and follow your passion and stay
on that path. And that's just what I'm trying to do.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
On the flip side of the things, you do, set
your own hours, you can go to work when you
want to do that about it. I don't have a
bunch of clock and answer anybody but you. Of course,
your team will have questions things like that out of
the support staff and people behind you too. Love that,
but also touch base for me on the flip side
of the pint, on the I guess, for lack of
a better term, those good things that you look for
on working for yourself and being a musician and hit
(04:28):
on some of the highlights of you know, I work
for myself. I get to put out country music, do
what I love to do. Talk about that for me, Yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Know, I'm very blessed that I have an amazing core
family unit that has always supported me and always made
me feel worthy of what I'm doing. And man to
go into a room and write a song that truly
means something that truly came from an experience you went through.
I mean, I don't know if there's anything more you know,
fulfilling than that for me though, I mean getting on
(04:56):
stage every single night.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I love it. I love being with my band, I
love being on the road.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
I'm very lucky that I've now met my now fiance
who he understands that life. He loves that life too,
and so it's just, you know, continued to bring joy
and open up doors and keep me going for what
I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
I love that too, and just opening up a lot
of doors. And congratulations all meeting the now fiance, which
is beat cool out there too. You got a big
showcase coming up December fourth. Talk to everybody about this
because a lot of cool things coming up with this. Obviously,
the album came out there October fourth, called Checkmate. We're
gonna dive into that a little bit and play some songs.
Big showcase event December fourth, Tell everybody about that.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, I am so excited.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
We are finally going to get an opportunity here in
Nashville to play some of these new songs and some
of these songs that we have never even performed before.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I mean that album started.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I wanted to showcase our live show and that's really
what my producer was able to capture and I love
it so much and played those songs on the road
for years but.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Then there's also some that we just threw in there
and we've never performed live.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
So this showcase, we're going to get an opportunity to
do that and just hang out with all our people
in Nashville on.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
December fourth at the Eighth Room. I'm so so excited.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, and you should be because you've got a very
special guest to come into that. I believe his guy
dame with the Buck Johnson. Oh yeah, yeah, people know
who that is too. He's been round a lot of years,
talk about the experience. Had just a chance to now
collaborate with a guy like Buck Johnson who's been around
for a long time.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yeah. You know what's funny is, right before this interview,
I just came from a writing session with him. He
is such an amazing guy. He, like you said, he
has been around forever, and he has some stories and
aman does he have wisdom to just share and pour
into others.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
And that is what I'm trying to do.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
I'm just trying to soak in being around him and
learn from him because he really knows what he's doing.
So I'm very excited to share the stage with him
that night.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I love that story. We're going to share this song
now with KKTC listener's True Country ninety nine point nine.
The album is Checkmate Care you'll get the gist of this.
It's destroyed me from Ashley bearing out there to checkmate
across all those digital streaming platforms. Make sure you guys,
crank it up if you're driving, especially in the morning, drive,
because that's always the time you gotta wake up. This
will wake you up here, True Country ninety nine point nine,
(07:18):
KKTC back in the flash, Stay tuned.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
You're only m river, so.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
A way down and drown by your side. Our hearts
beating like thunder to the sunbreak Sunday.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
I can weather this storm, so woo me away.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
You break through my walls.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
One touch outside, you burn down the thoughts, those dark
cold mounds kiss my neck, steal my breath.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Craby you put.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
It into the lone boy, you destroy me. It's mysome
candles mal tail. I'll kill the light, rying down, put
(08:46):
the cork back in the bottle. I'm song on your kiss,
can hold it together.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
I won't try to easiest.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
You'll back through my.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
Balls on touch out.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Time you burn down the thoughts.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Those darkened coolns.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
Here's my neck, steal my breath, baby, you put.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
It to you, boy, you still you break through.
Speaker 6 (09:42):
My walls, one touch at time. You'll burn down the
thought those dark cool nights. Here's my neck, steal my
birth baby, you put it and to the lone.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Destroy me.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Hey, this is Nashville recording artist Michelle Wright and you're
listening to the backstage Pass on KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine.
Speaker 7 (10:22):
The Caidan Gordon Show is a two hour show playing
the best in country music. So check it out at
the Caidangordon Show dot com. Again, that is the Caden
Gordon Show dot com.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
And back here with Ashley Baron on the show. Appreciate
all the work that Cayden does out there. He's also
on KKTC True Country ninety nine point nine. Of course
out there, check your local listings for all that good stuff.
Andy kadengordonshow dot com Today's best country mix out there.
To Ashley Baron, Backer, the album is checkmate. So let's
talk about this one too. I love this album. Like
I said, a lot of SaaS, a lot of attitude,
(10:57):
destroy me, and I mentioned that would wake people up
it up this morning.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was such a fun song to write.
I mean, that was a song that I don't I
don't typically write ballads, so it was a challenge for me.
And you know, I went into that right with just that,
you know, emotional feels of when you first meet someone,
to meet somebody and they truly get you and you
(11:21):
look them in the eyes and they just see you
for who you are. That's kind of what this side
of destroy Me is. You know, he broke down my
walls and destroyed that my past self and made me
new and we're now going to have this new, amazing
future together. And that's kind of where that song came from.
But dune it in the studio, man, it was it
(11:42):
was hard. It's a vocal challenge. Like I said, I
don't normally do ballads, but I think that's why I
love it so much.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
A lot of songs to talk about, two including picking
up On and Find a Cowboy. These were two of
my favorite ones stream that have been very good to
you and the Baron fans out there, go couna come
up with Nick too. Like I said, I wanted to
say fanatics, but I got to come up with something
in that B range or something like that. But the
baron fans. You may have something too, that's a slogan
out there too that I need to know about. But
those two picking up on and find a Cowboy, let's
(12:11):
dive into those.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah, So find a Cowboy is honestly one of my favorites.
It's very ironic because I wrote that song before I
met my fiance, and I have a line in there
that says, if I'm gonna find the John Wayne type.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
It ain't gonna be online. Because I was hating dating apps.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
I didn't want to be on the dating apps, but
I forced myself to do it, and ironically, I met
my now fiance on the dating and let me tell you,
he is a John Wayne type.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
So I luked out there.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Girls don't fully believe that one line.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Love that one too, And then that little I say,
I say, man, just one of those two step in
songs picking up on two that you can get out
there on the dance floor and swing to and have
a good time with. Let's talk about this one.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
I loved writing that because that came from a really
true place. I my ex was a man full of
red flags that I continued to ignore and continue to ignore,
and so that was kind of the premise behind this
song is watch out you know what, you go and
get out there.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Because you're just gonna be picking up someone else's straps.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Yeah. I love these titles too, because we can call
it the h song here. Make sure I get this title,
grec hooked on my heart beat. Yeah, it's gonna be
you know. I's just another fantastic title. And I love
that because songwriters can really get creative and that's the
arts business of you guys being the artistry side of things.
But man, what a title for a song and what
what what a way to make somebody feel something right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:39):
You know that song came from again after my I
was I was previously engaged years ago and that ended horribly.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
He was the full of red flags. Guy.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
I should have known better, but I didn't. I needed
to do it my way, and God sure taught me
a lesson. And then after that, man, I went out
into the dating world and is that a scary place
or what?
Speaker 1 (14:03):
You know?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
But that song just came from you know guys constantly,
and especially no offense to Nashville.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
I love you, You're my home.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
But some of the guys here, man, all they care
about is that bar scene and what they look like
and all that stuff, and that was kind of, you know,
the whole premise of you're never going to be hooked
on my heartbeat rather than your own or whatnot. But
I got to give it out to my producer, who
took all of these songs and just put his amazing
(14:32):
guitar flare on it and made these songs come to life.
I was so so thankful to work with Aaron Stapler
on that.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Well. I love the title of it too, because album
just called Checkmate, and I think that pretty much says,
you know what, We've been there, We've done that, we
beat you. Makes me think about Chess so much too.
When y'all were putting together I guess a title for
the record. How cool was that to come up with
something that was very creative such as checkmate.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Well, it's so crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
I've always been there's a little small piece of me
that's always been a skater girl at heart. When I
was growing up, I definitely went through that phase. And
I love Alvri Lavine, I love Blink one eighty two,
I love Indybus all those guys and so in that
I've always kind of worn checkers, and I didn't think
(15:20):
anything of it. You know, I love bands, I wear vands,
And it wasn't until I got with my marketing and
PR team that they were like, hey, this could.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Like be a thing.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
And then when they started to relate that to check
me and all the songs, and I was like, oh
my gosh, it was like my whole world was coming
together in one album.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
So it was it was fun.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
It was a great way to you know, be creative
and yeah, showcase that.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
All that I've been through and now I can say
I feel like.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
I have in life victory. There you go, check me,
no doubt about it. Album cover Always interested to kind
of hear those backstories of where the album cover kind
of comes from, the decisions that go into it with
pictures and things like that. First of all, great headshot
love it talk about just the scenery and who you
chose to kind of be your photographer on this.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yeah, so I the photographer on it was mel Carbello
and she did a fantastic job. But the inspiration kind
of behind the whole photo shoot really was I worked
with a stylist, Katie Robinson, who is huge here in Nashville,
and I love fashion, I.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Love sex and the City.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Grew up watching the Carrie Bradshaw and how she you know,
did her own style and that was really fun bringing
in this checkered element to this photo shoot and just
really picking out these outfits that screamed me and just
felt so natural wearing, and you know, putting that in
a picture was really fun. And she was Katie Robinson
(16:50):
was amazing to work with.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Awesome, awesome ladies out there to love. Those album covers
come to life just as much as the songs out
there too well. Time to get satisfied here on the
backstage pass from actually bearing the album check made across
all those digital streaming platforms out there. You can check
her out to give her a li like on social media.
Make sure you guys can do that, give her a
follow too. We'll mention the website here in a little
bit too. Coming back from this break, It's satisfied. It

nine Coming Back Stay two.
Speaker 4 (17:36):

Speaker 6 (18:08):

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Ever seeming to be ging to be satisfied.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
Bet a man.
Speaker 6 (18:38):
Out there on the road, and I was getting lost
to him, and he was holding one red roads.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
And a tail out of town.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
I thought he had it going.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
And on he was hitting all of the rounds, but
he just was hitting my song because every.
Speaker 8 (18:59):
All was no while I'm only.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
To discovery one.
Speaker 6 (19:10):
But I don't want.
Speaker 8 (19:11):
To be in the bolster chap for only. I want
to be spoken or when it's all set in your
knows out time, But we will.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
Ever seeming to.
Speaker 9 (19:30):
Be get to be satisfied, because everyone wants in a while,
(19:59):
I'm so all one's wanting only.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Only to discover he ate the word. But I don't
wanna be.
Speaker 8 (20:11):
The poster child, for only I wanna be spoking the
fort when it's all set in.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Your nose outside.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
But when you'll.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
Ever seeming to be to be satisfy, ever seeming to
beat it to be sadist. Hey, this is Sports Shield
(20:54):
recording artist Joe Nichols, and you're listening to the backstage past.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I word about the sports Guys podcast dot com exclusively
at KKTC True Country nine to nine point nine in Tallas,
New Mexico.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
The Caiden Gordon Show is a two hour show playing
the best in country music. So check it out at
the Caidangordonshow dot com. Again, that is the Caden Gordon
Show dot Com.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
And checkmate here on the backstage pest AKTC True Country
ninety nine point nine. Just I knew I love the
title of the album. Do you guys have to really
go dig into this and really listen to all these
great songs we're talking about today, in cluding the one
we just played Satisfied right there too on checkmate from
Ashley Barron here on the backstage past. So let's get
right into it, man, deep into the pool here. We
all want to be satisfied, and this one will get
(21:43):
you in that mood very quickly.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Yeah, this was probably one of my favorite songs to write.
It definitely came from a place where man, I was
on my knees and I'm a hopeless romantic I always
wanted to be, you know, in love, and I think
that's why I unfortunately had to go through what I
did with my ex and you know, being engaged in
all of that because I did.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
It's just it's naturally what I wanted. I wanted to
be married.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
I wanted to make it work, but I was totally
you know, trying to fit a square peg into a
round hole and it wasn't working. And you know, this
song then, once I met my fiance, it really like WHOA,
my whole world again came together. But this song for
me then really started to showcase when I did it
live that it's not just love that you want to
(22:28):
be satisfied in, right, It could be your job, it
could be your friends, it could be whatever you're going through.
I think everybody has that desire to just feel settled
and satisfied.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
You know. We mentioned the showcase December fourth, and of
course with the end of the year, let's talk about
plans now in goals and kind of set the stage
for twenty twenty five and really, I guess for the
next three to five years kind of where you see
yourself and more. Music and musicians never rest on their Laurels.
When it comes down to we'll put out an album
today and we've already started working on the next project.
As soon as this one drops, it gets all the
radio stuff going on to more songs, more good things
(23:02):
coming up over the next threety five years. Forecast that
for me if you can.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yeah, you know, I just I hope to be still
on the road, continuing performing live and just getting to
write music, putting out new stuff. Man, That's that's my
true passion to bring it to the fans. So that's
what I hope and hope to continue.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
I wish I was there for December fourth, because my
tale would be at that showcase, like it would be
no tomorrow too, just seeing you get these songs out
to all the Nashville patrons out there too, and get
a chance to play on this record. All right, we
gotta have fun with this because I love the again
just titles of songs and kind of the backstories of
where they come from. Kiss a Brunette. This had to
be a lot of fun too. Obviously there you go,
(23:42):
Brunette right there too, and this is just again having
fun with songs and fun with titles, right.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Yeah, Yeah, that's definitely what this was. It's no distot
blondes out there. I'm sorry if you feel that way.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
This is just me man.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Right after I found out, you know, about my ex
and all this stuff you'd been through, I was just
like in the pitypool and I needed something to pull
me out. And that time in my life, music and
writing really was my therapy. And I brought it to
a writer. I was like, I can't can't write a
sad song. I'm just mad and I just want to
have fun, Like how do you? How do you put
(24:18):
that all together? And that's how we came up with
Kiss Brunette.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
I love it. That's the play with words type things
with songs out there, to have fun with it and
it has that pun. But like I said, no all series,
just have fun with the record, have fun with a
song out there. That's what it's all about, too. Is
the laughter and the joy too, all right, speaking laughter
and joy. The holidays just around the corner with Thanksgiving
and Christmas and all this stuff, and spend more money
(24:44):
than you ain't got and you're kind of like, well,
you know, I got to find it somewhere, but hey,
it comes in regardless. We keep spending it, we keep
making it. What are the plans for the holidays, And
do you do any kind of like just fun stuff,
family traditions, meals, cooking, white elephant gifts. Give us the
whole kind of spiel on that.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Oh yeah, I am a huge Christmas fanatic.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I already have my decorations up. Actually, right next to
me is one of them.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
So I give you the one space that doesn't have
a ton of it in me. But I love Christmas.
I love what Christmas is about. I love decorating. I
just love the whole, you know, getting together with your
family and spending that true quality time getting cozy and
watching movies. And yeah, you know, yes we go and
(25:32):
we buy the gifts. But I think we all need
to remember the true meaning of Christmas and why we
get together with our loved ones and why we get
snuggled up and cozy, and it's that time to just
you know, reflect on the year and enjoy what's happened
and get ready for the next that's.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
A beautiful part of it too. And also eat some
good food. Of course my case, it'll be eat some
food and then be at the gym the next day
or two, and in those interval level training classes, CrossFit,
whatever it is to fitness. Do you find time even
self care so much? And you guys are so busy
on the road, even as musicians. I'm busy as a broadcaster,
and I'm like sometimes i'd be like, I sit so
much and I talk a lot, and I'm like, you
(26:09):
know what, my only time to do it is right
there in the morning, get up right and early, do
it there because in the day, you know from what
seven am on gets away from you. Like most people
having those those nine to five jobs, self care, how
important is that for you guys as artists.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
It's it's definitely my number one.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
The one thing that keeps me seeing and especially on
the road is my workouts. And even if I can't
get in a hard workout or for driving, every time
you know, we stop, I get outside and I start walking.
I definitely believe that that is so so important for
your mental health and to just you know, constant continue
to be in a good state and a good place.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
So yeah, I love I love working out.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
I recently got into lifting weights and intermixed that with
my plots and stuff, and I just I love it.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
So if I try to pull outis. I hope I
could like pass a course like throw up along because
there's a lot of people that even with the CrossFit
or the hit class that I take at the Crunch
Fitness place is always like a high intensity interval training.
So pilates, I'd love to probably take a class with
you and see if I could pass a test. Right.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Yeah, have you ever seen those YouTube videos of like
the football players trying to do pilates.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
I mean it's hard, and it's hard.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
And then especially if I, like if I ignore plates
and I do a week of like my weight training
or whatever, and then I just go to a plates class.
Oh even if I'm lifting heavy in the gym, like,
it does not correlate.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
They are different muscle groups. And yeah, it's hard.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
Is what do you think you're in real good shape?
Try one of those classes, give you a gut check
very quick, or a CrossFit class, because you can't just
lift weights or just have you got you got to
have everything across the board too when it comes to those, uh,
those type of trainings. But that's why you consult with
a professional trainer out there too. I'm no expert in
working out it coach high school sports for a lot
of years. But I only can give back what i'm
(28:00):
mentally and what I read when it comes to workouts
and things like that. But I'm with you for without
that self care, man, I would just be strung out,
high anxiety things like that too. If you got a sketch,
I can only imagine, like you said on the road,
it's not a hardcore workout. It's something that just mentally
is going to keep you in that same kind of
that same ballpark there too. All we talked a lot
about the holidays, but I got throwing some sports as
we kind of wrap it up here too, I find
(28:20):
myself getting addicted to it. It's a drug. I'm a
huge Arizona Cardinal fan. When it comes to football, college
down here is big with Texas A and M and
the big rivalry coming up in a few weeks with
the Texas Longhorns, who I don't like. But same time,
for sports, what teams, if any teams do it for you?
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Oh yeah, Well I was ratt and if I said
any other, my dad would probably shoot me dead.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
But I was raised a forty nine er Bury girl
through and through.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
But you know, moving to Tennessee, I have a little
space in here for the Titans. I do love them too.
And my fiance he's huge into college football, so we are,
you know, big Tennessee fans.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
We're all over the board. Man. I just I love
sports too.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
And it's again, I think what I love is the
camaraderie and everyone coming together and the yummy food you
get to eat.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
That's the best part. Yes, the carmaraderie coming together and
the food is fantastic. Let me ask you about this
because I just finished a string of shows on WSM
the Home of the Opry out there to AM six fifty.
You hope to do a lot of spring shows coming
up with them in the spring. Which is an amazing, great,
great historic radio station, the oldest country station in the world,
coming up on one hundred years of being on the
(29:31):
air next year in twenty twenty five, Could we see
the Ashley Barron debut at the Grand Old Lopry one day?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Oh man, I'm praying, I'm praying it happens and crossing
my fingers that's a jersey.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
That was the million dollar question. I had to ask
that too. All right, Favorite holes to eat, the Nashville
Hole in the walls, chain restaurants, anything, trucks, food, trucks, coffee.
Give it to me some of your favorite restaurants there
to dine in or take out for Nashville.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Oh man, Well, I'm a huge it's a Chinese fan.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
And because of all my autoimmune stuff and I have
coeliac disease. When it comes to chain restaurants, huge, PF
chains fan. Huge, That is my guilt's pleasure. I love
Bartaco in twelve South here and we have this amazing
Italian place in our little downtown Franklin called Kukachinos and
that is hands down best gluten free pasta.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
I love them. Well, check mate on that right there.
See hell we came out of that well just tell
you where to go eat and you follow it right
there too. Word of mouth is everything when it comes
to advertising out there too. And the album is so
good it'll avertise itself. And then some of the songs
are so good they sell themselves out there too as
well as she does as a Nashville recording artist and
with the CMAS this week, would surprise me to see
