Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Brandon.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hey y'all, this is Tim, this is Chandler, and this
is Trip.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
We're Land Coach and you're listening to the Backstage Pass
with Brandon exclusively on KKTC True Country ninety nine point
nine in Tallas, New Mexico.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
And welcome inside the Backstage Pass. Happy New Year to
everybody out there too, twenty twenty five. Hard to believe
we're here in almost six years doing this radio show
for you guys and your listening pleasure, and presented by
our friends over at the Caadangordon Show dot Com. Today's
best Country Mix. Brandon Morel here too, and again, Happy
new Year to everybody out there too. Hope all your
New year's resolutions come true. I know for us what's

(00:38):
gonna come true too, is the radio shows now moving
to the drive time slot from five pm to six
pm Mountain Standard time starting this week. Actually, so be
able to look out for that all the great interviews.
So now new time slot for the Backstage Pass, powered
by the Sports Guys Podcast dot com and Betting lead
off here for twenty twenty five. It's Tim, Tripp, Chandler
and Brandon from the hot group out there called Lamb Oh,

(01:00):
what's going on, guys?

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's that buddy good.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Have you guys here too. Let's first talk about this Brandon.
I want to kind of get a little backstory man
of the group itself and how you guys came together.
The sound is terrific. A new album comes out to
January seventeenth. We're gonna make it via the Riserhouse Records,
and of course we're gonna feature a lot of songs
on there, two of them specifically here on the show,
coming up to David Brandon, give me a little backstory

(01:25):
on just Lamb COO and how you guys formed as
a band.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, we formed about ten years ago. Now, all met
kind of in the National area. I met Trip we
were different bands playing like a music festival and became
friends and met Chandler and Jared to some songwriter friends
and put the thing together. Then Tim came on a
little later, and yeah, we're just friends making music. We

(01:48):
put out our debut album a few years ago now,
twenty eighteen, had songs on it like Greatest Love Story
and Born to Love You, and it was the number
one album in the country, first band to do that
since Alabama.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
If we want toot our own horn.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
But yeah, we uh.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Since then have been touring around the world playing music
and working on this record, and it's better late than ever.
It's finally finally here.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah, no doubt. Always when the record arrives and you
get those brand new songs into the fans' hands out there,
give them something listening to listen to, give them something
to be proud of. I want to talk about this too,
because the big We're Gonna Make It tour twenty twenty
five is gonna kick off at Minneapolis February twenty seventh.
Excited about that too for you guys, Chamber, how's that feel?

Speaker 4 (02:30):
It feels awesome. For one, it's awesome starting to tour
in Minneapolis because that's one of my favorite playces, I
think one of all of our favorite places to play.
We've got such a great fan base there, and I'm
just really looking forward to playing these new songs, having
so much new material to play live and gave the
chance to. I mean, I'm just excited to even like
start rehearsing for them. You know, just playing some new

(02:51):
songs is always nice.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I love the fact that you guys been doing this
for a long time. How do you have you look
back at all the successful bands out there who have
done it for long time too. Man, the harmonies are
so good at what you guys do, and you know,
for people to have the harmony parts to who's kind
of doing the lead singing, and of course coming up
with the tunes writing the song's trip. Give me a
little backstory of just how hard that is to put
all that together and make just the perfect song for

(03:16):
the perfect album. Like you guys have so much great
harmony out there.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
Well, I find this question a little interesting because you
ask the drummer how to put the put a song together?

Speaker 7 (03:28):
No, but.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
You know it starts usually we all sit around and
work on a song, whether Brandon writes it by himself
or he you know, comes in with a melody or
an idea or something like that, and then we start
kind of writing the song together and then we go
on the studio put it together. And as a band,
it's just one of those things. We have a sound
that we like to to incorporate, and so when we

(03:53):
start working on a song, we're always just trying to
fit the mold to what we want to do and
push the boundaries sonic to make it how we wanted
to make it, but we also love country music, so
we find ourselves using a lot of the organic instruments
that country music is not tourists for. And so I
think that's our process is just a it's a It

(04:14):
takes a little bit of time because we're a band,
you know, it's not just a solo artist going to
a studio with hired musicians and playing the song. We
like to work on the song, craft the song, and
then put it together.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well said there too, Like I said, you never know
you yeah too, at the same time, but I love
your explanation too, you know, Tim looking back at it too, man,
Helleluia Knights was so successful out there to Love This
when it landed number one on the Billboard Top Country
Album's chart and featured that twice now platinum hit The
Greatest Love Story and Born to Love You, which was
also platinum certified. When you start thinking about reaching levels

(04:47):
in the industry, and we're talking about platinum this and
two time this and you know, number one Billboard Top
Country Albums chart, this has to feel good just collectively
across the board, man. But to get that outside attention
from your peers, and of course RADI shows like us,
it has to feel just damn good, right.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Well, it absolutely does.

Speaker 8 (05:05):
Back to Tripp's point on the last one, It's interesting
you asked me that question because I am the newer.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Guy and I was not there for that, honestly I am.

Speaker 8 (05:19):
But I will say this, them going through that has
brought me now to a place where I get to
join with people that have gone through that and have
kind of ushered me into this new age of it.
But I think someone else might have some great comments
on kind of how that felt and what that ride
was like.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, we've explained to him how great it is to
be famous.

Speaker 9 (05:43):
Yeah I do.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I do think Tim needs a platinum record with his
name on it, so.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I'm hungry for it.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yes, let's talk about just this new album. And you
mentioned getting out there and playing it in front of
the fans. We're gonna play a couple songs off there,
you know today Channel looking back at it too. But
this new album, you know, coming out January seventeenth, We're
gonna make it such great music. And like I said, Riserhouse,
you know, one of the top record companies I enjoy
working with in Nashville too, because they believe in you,

(06:12):
they believe in the brand, they believe in the song telling,
the songwriting aspect of it too, and also storytelling Chandler
is very important in country music. Kind of elaborate on
that for me a little bit.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I mean, yeah, it's that's kind of what we try
to do in all of our music. In this record
in particular, is every song is a story and kind
of something cool that I think Brandon has kind of
let the charge and we've kind of like followed is
through all of our music, our first album and this
record as well. There's kind of some like main characters

(06:44):
that are in it, and most of the songs are
kind of like auto biographical of our own lives, but
kind of written through these characters. And I just think
the genre of country music really appreciates that.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
I think they.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Resonate with it because you can kind of put your
own story into that. That's definitely something we try to
hold true to when we're writing songs.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
I love that song that you guys, just a lot
of these songs that you guys would come out with,
but especially looking back at one that was greatest love Story.
Let's dive into this one too a little bit. Until
Reconnect with Brandon too at the same time. But greatest
love story about what that song meant to country music
fans and just in general and the Landco fans out
there too, because excellent writing and of course just a

(07:26):
message well delivered, right Chandler.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, I mean that song did. Honestly, we didn't know
that song would do what it did. It was one
of the songs that we I don't want to say
we didn't put a lot of effort into it, but
we kind of like we didn't change much when we
went in the studio with it, and so when we
chose up for the radio single and all of a

(07:49):
sudden it started having this life on its own. It
was pretty wild to watch. And so I think it
just as a testament to what a good story can do,
how people resonate with a good story. I think that's
that that song just like is a true testament to that.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
You know, just not taking lightly the fact that we've
had success and we're a band, so we love to
joke around and have fun, but but really, you know,
you look at talk about platinum records or an award
or status, any these things, they're not they're they're not real,
tangible things other than they're just representations of people connecting
to what it is that you've made. They've connected. Music

(08:29):
is a beautiful thing because it connects us and it
the things that we go through in life. It makes
us realize that we're we're not alone in those things.
And for us to have songs and have music and
music videos and stuff that, yes, there may be some
kind of status or title attached to it at platinum
or number one or things like that, what it really
just represents is that a lot of music, a lot

(08:49):
of people have connected to your music and been impacted
by our music. And that's ultimately why why you create,
why you make art, and why you make music, is
to try and change somebody's life out there. And so
the fact that we've done that on any level is
a huge honor.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah, curious too, And like you said, this album is
just going to speak so much to those working class individuals,
those blue collar workers. Branding what I like is just
a message out there of people going through the hardships
and these times even right now too, just getting over
an election year and a new year. Now, everybody's kind
of watching the pocketbooks. Now, what's what goes out what
comes in things like that, hardships and going through that.

(09:25):
And I think these songs branding on this upcoming record,
at least what I've heard go through the times of
the blue collar workers and the hardships and people just
out there trying to make it right. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Absolutely, And you know, all of our backgrounds, we all
kind of come from, you know, a middle class world
and and I grew up you know, my parents were teachers,
and you know, we when we started as a band
trip you know, as working at a carpet warehouse, I
was selling concessions that I was leading a hot dog salesman,
just you know, making you know, not a lot of money,
but but being happy and being happy with your friends

(09:58):
and your love that you have in your life, relationships
and ultimately, yeah, it's the world is kind of crazy
right now. But that's one thing that I love being
a musician in this time, is because you get to
have a platform to remind people that, you know, there's
a lot of stuff going on the news and a
lot of things that can distract you from the reality.
And the reality is that you know, there are things
bigger than that. You know, even though times can be tough,

(10:20):
and we've gone through hard times even in our personal lives.
Even though we're in a band, we've had success. It's
not all it's cracked up to be. And we're not loaded,
we're not flying private jets around. We're normal guys. But
we've found joy and happiness in our families and in
our friendships and our faith. And this album, you know,
I want to be I wanted to encourage people. That's

(10:41):
what life is really about.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
We got to play one off your two and people
gonna find out what this is about pretty quick too.

Cadan Gordon Show dot com.

Speaker 14 (14:09):
Hey, this is Nashville recording artist Michelle Wright, and you're
listening to the Backstage Pass on KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine and.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Backer two with the guys from Lanco Brandon Morel the
Backstage Passing Gain powered by the Sports Guys podcast dot
Com exclusive KKTC True Country ninety nine point nine, and
of course out there iHeartRadio and wherever you guys find
your podcast, Brandon Chandler, Trip and Tim the band landco
here with us too. We got to talk about it
here channel. I'll give you kind of the first tips here.
I love it just because it is that sincere song

(14:40):
that warms up to the public out there too where
I be long man, well written, and Brandon and a
host of guys did a great job with us too.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Thank you. Yeah, that song was just about kind of
like you know, Brandon mentioned our families and some of
the hardships we've gone through, and especially being you know,
we've we've traveled a lot together, which is another kind
of interesting facet int of this, but just kind of
like wherever you go, wherever you end up, where you
belong as ultimately ultimately with your family and the people

(15:10):
you love, and so that's kind of what we were
focusing on with that track.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
I love it too, and I always love this because
now that I know Trips like the drummer, what questions
coming to me? The drummer has that one or two,
maybe three top favorite songs to just like beat on
out there to bang on the drums and symbols all
that kind of stuff. What I guess is there a
it's kind of a two part of your trip the
favorite ones to do just for Lanko. I'm sure you're
gonna say all of them too as well, but I
know there's got to be top two or three or

(15:35):
four songs to play. And then when you guys break
out maybe and do some covers trip, what do you
like to kind of just do out there on the drums.
You're like, man, this song's coming in the set. What
do you like the most?

Speaker 6 (15:44):
Yeah? Yeah, So we've actually been playing a couple of
new songs. We've been playing a song called we Grew
Up Together, which it's something different than you know, it's
what it's kind of what we do, but it's a
little softer than our live show. But it's been cool
to kind of see a dynamic shift in the live
show and how that song kind of moves along the
show and kind of creates these like waves, for lack

(16:05):
of a better term, in the show. I love playing
Where I Belong. That's a really fun song. It's a
nice little four on the floor. I love playing a
song called Low Class Lovers that's a spoiler alert. We
normally play that at the end, and that's just one
of those rowdy songs that gets everybody gone. And then
we have a song called trouble Maker that we've had

(16:27):
for a long time that's just an absolute barn burner.
And so those songs to me are the songs that
when when those are staples in my opinion, to our
live show.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Even if you had cover songs to look at you,
you guys are broke out in one of those, or
just maybe some favorite cover songs.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Play fast, yeah.

Speaker 10 (16:49):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
We do a Tyler Childer's cover that I really enjoy,
and then we do a song called take It Easy,
which everyone knows. And so those two right there, I mean,
that's like kind of some like one of our current
influences and then one of our influences that we all
kind of grew up on.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
And so.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
We play a ton of covers that it it kind
of shifts will do to one night, maybe one the
next night, you know, it's always a little bit different.
And then we do one by a song by Eric
Church called Springsteen, which in the country community.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
I feel like everyone knows that one is.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
The O's and that are like one of my favorite
things in life, and so uh yeah, that's those covers,
I would say, are kind of three covers that kind
of if you look at Langko and our sound, we
kind of mold our sound around, you know.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Brendon, I thought one of the ones that really hit
me home because I had to come home one day
and say it to the life too when it came
down to it. So that real world experience, no doubt,
just there is right there in the title Honey, I
lost my job today. I got to get a little
backstory of this one, Brandon, because this one is I've
had to say that to the wife before, and that's
never easy.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Yeah, and I had to say a version of it
and my wife, you know, we we had this number
one album before the pandemic, and we're touring around the
world playing with Miranda Lambert and Luke Combs and Dirk
Spentley and headlining shows and and things were going well
well enough that I got to have some big responsibilities.
I bought a house, and I had a baby and

(18:19):
got married and right around the time all that was
happening was the time that we were told we had
to stay home, weren't going on the road anymore. And
after a few months, like I said earlier, know, we're
we're we're just normal guys. We don't we're not Morgan
Wallen status, we're not a super rich We're just normal guys.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
And when we aren't on the road.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
That means we've lost our income. And month after month
after month, I'm seeing money go out and no money
coming in. And at the same time, we were at
Sony Records and we we lost that record deal. There
was no you know, there's they were cutting and it
was a scary time for everybody. And I, you know,
look at my wife and be like, hey, we've got
a baby, we've got a house, and I don't have

(19:00):
a record deal anymore, and we're not touring, Like I
don't know how we're gonna make it. But then during
that time, I discovered, you know, she was less nervous
than I was. And my little baby girl, she didn't
care as long as daddy was a good daddy. And
you realize these things in life, when when hardships happened
like that, To have a support system, to have your faith,
to have your family. Those are things that you know
weren't taken away from me and so I could lean

(19:22):
on them and they are more important to me than
you know, the numbers in a bank account or those
things will get figured out. They're important, but at the
end of the day, the foundation of your life is things.
For me, it's my family and my faith, and those
weren't taken away from me even when when my job
kind of was.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
That's the part that gets figured out too. You've been
a great statement there in that bank account and everything else.
It gets figured out somehow, some way because we keep
grinding to keep the faith. And at the end of
the day, it is the family. It is the child,
you know, be being a girl, dad too. At the
same time, it's always the smile on their faces or
you come home and you see the dog and it's like,
you know what, Hey, they're gonna care for you either
way because they don't know the difference right there too,
They're gonna want at tench and all that good stuff.

(20:00):
So it's like that's the best part is now is
to see like my little girl is going to kindergarten
coming up later this year and It's like, you know,
go there and have the worst day at work, man,
but when you get home being a family man is
is awesome. So Brandon, you you sum it up right
there too as well. Chamber, I love this one too.
I love it because it had Saturday Night. Any country

(20:21):
song that has Saturday night in its title, but sound
of a Saturday night. We got to elaborate on this
right well.

Speaker 7 (20:27):
Man.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
You asked Trip what his favorite song live was to play,
and Saturday Night is has been my personal favorite for
a while to play in the set. It's kind of funny.
It's one of the songs on the record that I
didn't write, but it's one of my favorite Lanco songs ever.
I just love the energy it brings live. It's it's

(20:47):
a really good just like sets the tone for the
whole set. Yeah, it's just it's just a song about
something everybody likes to do, and that's having fun on
Saturday night. And there's different different things that it describes
in the verses and kind of kind of nostalgic feelings,
and so I think that's I think that's why it's

(21:08):
such such a great song to me.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Yeah, i'd be reminisces I gotta ask you, Tim too.
We gotta bring you back to the conversation. Your favorite
one to get on stage Lanko's song to jam two,
What you Got.

Speaker 8 (21:19):
There's so many, you know, I think the guys would
maybe if they had to guests, think I'd say Troublemaker.
We do a big jam and it's a big moment.
Everybody gets spotlights. I get to take a big long
guitar solo and I love that. But you know, sometimes
my favorite part of the night sometimes is still honestly

(21:40):
like greatest love Story playing. It's where I play some
of the simplest stuff, but watching the crowd for me,
and like I said, because I came in later, it
maybe I don't know that magic isn't and I'm not
saying it's lost on the other guys, but it's just
watching everybody sing it.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Look at it. I'm playing the easiest parts. I play
all night on that.

Speaker 8 (22:04):
But I have a good time every time. But there's
so many fun ones. I mean, ending with low class lovers.
It's high energy. It's a great end to the set.
I think everybody gets a little moment to shine in there.
There's down parts, there's upparts, the covers.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Are fun too.

Speaker 8 (22:20):
I love doing that, and the covers are a little
less on the rails. I think every night sometimes the
covers different. Jaredal plays of the cool on the mandolin,
it's a little different, or I mess around with a
different little lick and I love that part of the
set too. So not one concrete answer, but sound on
Saturday night. Also, I love them all right, but I won't.

Speaker 7 (22:41):
Leave you with just that.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
They're kind of like your kids. They all wild. Come
your favorite songs out there too. This is one of
my favorites off the record here and it's called We
Grew Up Together. It's Land Coats KKTC True Country ninety
nine point nine. It is the backstage pass. Stay tuned
for more.

Speaker 13 (23:10):
On the counter.

Speaker 12 (23:12):
Leady Test moped up from Cerus remember things and I'm.

Speaker 11 (23:18):
Too young for this.

Speaker 12 (23:22):
It was not mothers came with God in nature heaven
since promised that I always try my best.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Because there's no instruction book on how to resk kN
or in life. In my hands went out he figured mine.

Speaker 11 (23:45):
Now, Yeah, you learn to walk gallern the walk in
my face, You learn to talk.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
GT learned things I shouldn't say. You need the only one.
It's gone. Mag stays God, I need you. You made
me better. We both won't stay up forever. You don't
know it now. One day you'll find them.

Speaker 15 (24:15):
But we grew home together, footing in your time, ristless days,
sleepless nights.

Speaker 12 (24:29):
Know when I won't always get a ride, started working
on myself. Whiskey stays upon the ship, holding you. I
don't need nothing else.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
You learn the walk.

Speaker 12 (24:49):
I learned the walk, get by face, you learn the talk.
Got learn things I shouldn't say.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
You ain't the only one. It's gonna make stakes. God,
I need you. You made me better. We both won't
stay forever. You're gonna know it now. One day you'll
find um. And we grew together.

Speaker 7 (25:21):
You learn to drive out, driving crazy, but you always
be my baby, a matter where you going.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Somewhere down the road, you realize you're growing up sobers.
You learn to walk. I learned the walk in my faith.
You learn to talk. I learn things I shouldn't say.

(25:58):
You ain't the only one. It's gone, Big steaks. Gotta
need you. You know made it better. We both won't
stay on together. You don't know it now. On day
you'll find out. We go together.

Speaker 13 (26:20):
We go together.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Hey all, this is Nashville recording artist Taylor Austin Die
and you're listening to the Backstage Pass on KKTC True
Country ninety nine point nine.

Speaker 9 (26:42):
That Kadenborton Show Today's Best Country Mix is a two
hour show playing independent and mainstream country music you know
and love. Be sure to check it out at the
Kingbordonshow dot com for more information on the show.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Hey y' all, this is Nationhville recording artist Halle Kerns
and you're listening to the Backstage Past with Brandon exclusively
on KKTC True Country ninety nine nine in taust New Mexico.
And of course the new album comes out January seventeenth.
Be goingble to look at out there digital streaming platforms.
We're gonna make it via Roserhouse Records again, Landco joining
us here, Tim Tripp Chandler and of course Brandon out

(27:19):
there too. So this one has to be a lot
of fun, Brandon, because this is you guys have mentioned
that title just going on and on. We're glad we
could play it here on KKTC ninety nine point nine
here at Taoas but love it. We grew up together
and there's always that backstory that makes a great country song,
and that's where I think the affinity is there for
you guys, knowing everybody's backstory is very similar.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Right, yeah, and you know, we grew up together. That
song came from we were writing and we were writing
with a buddy of ours, Corey Assberry, who he plays
country music and Christian music, and we it was actually
the last song we wrote for the album, and we
couldn't really find what to write about. But you know,
it's like, what if we talked about on the album
and he was talking about his kid and he's our age,

(27:57):
but he is like a teenager, and I'd kind of
you know, I said, oh, you started young, and you said, well,
you know, yeah, we I was young. We kind of
grew up together. And in that moment, the reason that
it stood out to me so much was I was
older than he was when he had his kid. But
for me, that was a big one in my life
where I grew up. You know, I thought I was
a grown up, but once you have a kid, you
really have to grow up. And these lessons that you're

(28:20):
trying to teach your kid while you're trying to teach
your kid patients. You realize that you're learning patients, and
you realize that you've got a lot of growing up
to do. Different kind of growing up, but you're both
growing up together. And whether you have kids or not,
you can relate to it. You know, if you don't
have kids, you can look at your parents and at
a certain point in your adult life you realize, oh,
they were just kids. They were growing up. They were
trying to figure out how to raise me to doing
the best they could. And so it's I think it's

(28:41):
a relatable idea for anybody, whoever you are in life.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
You know, it's always great too. It's imperative when it
comes to the producers you picked for any of the
records out there and the songs you put out there,
and for you guys, Chandler, y'all had two of the
best that I know of just being in Nashville and
having conversations with everyone in the business from managers to
labels to publicist of people that even producer songwriters, I
mean Jay Joyce and of course Jared Conrad elaborate a
little bit Jammer on just the production of this record,

(29:08):
which I thought was fantastic.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yeah, we did half the record with Jay Joyce and
and we've I mean we've we've recorded so much music
with him. Our our whole debut record, Hally and nyas
Is with him, and then several singles in EP sincinn Aament.
We've worked a lot with him, and we've really I
mean he I've I've learned so much personally from him,
just as a personal musician, so that's always awesome. And

(29:33):
then we were honestly writing with Jared Conrad, so we
wrote a song called Beer with Younger Me with him
and just kind of got to know him and he,
you know, he was He did some demos for us
and the demos sounded really good, and I think for
the for the back half of the record, we kind
of wanted to just do something a little different and

(29:55):
maybe how the production be a little more collaborative, and
so we asked him if he'd want to kind of
go and and produce it with us, and that's what
we did, and I mean he did great. Sounds are great,
and he had an awesome input and it was it
was good. It was fun to kind of have like
a new process. But I think something too that I

(30:16):
think is really cool, as although there's two different producers.
It all sounds like one cohesive unit, which I think
I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Excellent songs there too, and of course you get January seventeen,
makes you guys, go download pre saved now and we're
gonna make it. The album comes out there too. Across
all those digital streaming platforms you pre saved now, you'll
get to a good five to sixty seven songs off
of their too Leaving looks good on you, Brandon, I
did again, another one of those country songs that drew
my attention. I said, man, I gotta have this one,
so I had to pre save it.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Yeah. You know, that's one thing that I've always loved
about country music is the storytelling, and this is a
classic story song, just about love found and kind of
letting go, something that in and of itself being an
act of love. And a cool thing that I've seen
is playing that song out live as you know. A
guy counts to me once and I was like, you know,

(31:08):
that song kind of brought tears my eyes because I
was singing about my daughter. You know, she's going off
to college and I just want her to chase her
dreams and that's a huge act of love, allowing somebody
to chase what they want in life. And yeah, it's
just it tells a great story. And ultimately, that's my
favorite part of country music is a storytelling.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
I love it and that's the beauty of it too,
because like I said, it's authentic. And that's why you
guys have the fan base of the following that you
have too, is people can resonate with that music. And
once they do that, man, they'll always get those tickets
in the march out there too, and you make sure
you guys check it out land Cove music dot com
for more information. There is a list of tour dates
out there too, and of course they the big one
kicking off there too. And we're gonna make it tour
right there in Minneapolis coming up in February, So make

(31:48):
sure you guys go check that out too. Of all
the listeners out there, get those tickets and we're gonna
make it tour twenty twenty five, February twenty seven in Minneapolis, Minnesota,
a night we have a little fun to wrap this up,
and Tim and we'll start with you too, favorite sports
team because I incorporate sports into my conversations here too.
Whether it be football, basketball, baseball, hockey, sports music go
hand in hand. It just really is so tim Well

(32:09):
right down the line here and we'll hit on the
other one's favorite sports team and maybe a favorite artist
that you love listening to growing up. Two part questions.

Speaker 8 (32:17):
Okay, okay, great, so sports team, I kind of didn't
have a choice. I think my dad's side of the
family from Pittsburgh, they're lifelong Steelers fans. My dad huge
Steelers fan, grew up watching the games with uh So,
the Steelers and it's fine to fall, you know, it's

(32:38):
it's just because of that.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
So the NFL wise that.

Speaker 8 (32:41):
Grow grew up listening to, I think, no doubt, my
biggest influence. All the guys could guess this is when
I started playing guitar. I was listening to a lot
of John Mayer, a lot of John Mayer's stuff. The
country stuff came later for.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Me, but that was the biggest artist in influence.

Speaker 10 (32:56):
No doubt.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
A love of trip you're up ex for friends question.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
Yeah, So I'm a college football fan and my die
hard team of choice would be Georgia Bulldogs. I'm from Dalton, Georgia,
and so my entire family. It's Saturday's in the fall
or that is what you do. And then I actually
grabbed when I was about fifteen or sixteen, I grabbed

(33:22):
Jason al Dean's first record. Back when you put had CDs,
there's these little disk and you put them in a
car and listen to them. I got a CD and
I wore that thing out in my.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
First car until the day I graduated.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
And so I would say Jason al Dean had a
you know, he was one of the first guys to
have this cool kind of like rock thing that was
allowed in the country space.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
I feel like I like it.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
You have what you got.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
I've been a Clemson Tiger football fan my whole life,
which some years is easier than others. Trip and I
always have some sort of bet for when you get
plays Clemson that involves us wearing something of the other
team on stage for a show. Yeah, well you have
to include that. There's there's a video that on our

(34:14):
Instagram somewhere with me wearing a I think it was
a girl's U GA shirt or something like that in Athens.
Uh yeah, yeah, my whole family was there and I
had to wear a girl UGA shirt. Oh Man. Anyways. Uh,
music wise, though, I grew up listening to the Eagles

(34:35):
and the Law is in my favorite band. I love
how they like toe the line of rock and country,
which I feel like is kind of what we try
to do. That's They're huge influence on me.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
All right, Brandon, Like I said, we saved the best
right there for the Lastnbice kidd I those music music
groups growing up, Brandon, what you got?

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Well, my my favorite sports team right now is definitely
not the best. But I don't know if you can see.
I'm wearing a nine AFC championship by the Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
That's what I'm wearing right now.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
So I'm rocking my favorite sports team.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
And then you know, grew up, grew up listen to
I don't even know where to start, I'd say, really,
when I started like falling in love with songwriting and
music was in high school. I was listening to a
lot of like Bob Dylan and then country. Like I
remember hearing Brad Paisley and Alison Krause Whiskey Lullaby and
I was just like what because that was kind of

(35:30):
full flood grass combined with country and it's like, whatever
that is, I want to do that. And then in
high school at the same time though, that's when Eric
Church came on the scene, and that was that kind
of that changed my life when I was in high
school here in Eric Church and that interpretation of the country.
And so I'd say, that's so where it started for me.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Good choices right there too. All right, we'll finish up
with this one with a wrap back down the line. Brandon,
I'm gonna start with you on this one too. Nashville's
no shortage to restaurants. That's why I love going as
many times as I can get up there to do
my radio show up there too, whether it be at
the Omni Hotel or ce Week coming up there every June.
I have my spots, my hot chicken spots, my taco spots,
coffee place every morning, get up, breakfast, your favorite, give

(36:11):
me top two or three. The brand will start with you.
Restaurants to just have a night out at with the family,
by yourself with the band, just to eat out. Where
do you like to go?

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Yeah, So mine's pretty basic, and it's it's now become
so famous that it sounds basic, But originally it was
really cool and unheard of, but I still stand by
Hattie Bees Hot Chicken.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
I love Hattie Bees.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
And yeah, there's a really nice restaurant called The Optimist
that if I want to, like spend a car payment
on dinner, which is rare, but it's if it's Valentine's
Day or an anniversary or something my wife and I
maybe we'll go out to That's actually the type of
restaurant that inspired our song an album called Low Class Lovers,

(36:53):
because even we go off to a place like that,
we don't really feel like we fit in there, but
we'll have a nice night out and act like we're
high society for one night.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
All Right, you have what you got.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Nashville is becoming quite the barbecue city. So they got
a good barbecue like ed Ley's and Martin's. And I'll
never say no to those. When it comes in nice restaurants,
Cane Prime, it can't be it's nice steak restaurant. Again,
if you want to do a car payment or two
for dinner, those one of those once a year kind
of places.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Hey, did I see the name of the restaurant? Yeah
you do, Yeah, the Optimist, The Optimist. Okay, just making
sure because you're talking about came from. I was like, wait,
did I say mine?

Speaker 5 (37:34):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (37:37):
But there's also so much I'm a I'm a coffee guy.
There's so much good coffee in Nashville. Honest Coffee Roaster,
which is a really good one. Then I hit up
a lot.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
I like that trip top two or three. Where do
you like to go? What do you like to eat?

Speaker 6 (37:52):
Yeah, man, I'm I'm a pretty basic dude as well.
I will say in terms of hot Chicken, I think instance,
Hot Chicken has the best. And then a sandwich that
I crave probably I would say at least twice a week.
And I'm never down there, and when we are, anytime
we're working down there or in the area, I get

(38:15):
this place.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
But it's a place called Mitchell's Delhi.

Speaker 6 (38:18):
They have a sandwich there that is just absolutely phenomenal
called the Turkey Avocado. But yeah, I mean, I'm those
two places to me are some of the best food
in Nashville.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
I love it too. And I gotta try that deli
you're talking about. Mitchell's Deli is one of the top
ones I've heard people talk about through all the radio
things we get to cover. They're all the functions and
all the seminars, Tim what you got top two or three?
All right?

Speaker 2 (38:43):
I love this question. I eat out too much.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
Love.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
There's so much good food in Nashville, man, So I'll
give you.

Speaker 8 (38:51):
I'll give you my two new place or newer place
in town that's not crazy expensive, great time food, dead.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
Tie, Oh yeah, Tie awesome.

Speaker 8 (39:04):
It's like Tie Street. I don't know, best paid time
fried rice I've ever had, amazing. I want there to
eat after this, literally, but then a little bit nicer dinner.
An awesome little hole in the wall, kind of really
authentic place is called Once upon a Time in France. Wow,
really authentic, not crazy expensive. You can get a steak

(39:28):
for about thirty bucks, which isn't terrible when you look
at some of the other ones's that we mentioned. Awesome
date night place, cool ambiance, the wait staff that all
speaks French to each other.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
It's just it's a really cool it feels like they're
in a different country, you know.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
Like I'm about to try that one too. What a
title for a restaurant too? You used to think about
one or two words, man, But that's a mouthful.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Yeah it is, it is, but you won't forget it.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
Yeah, no, it's stuck in the brain already. Like I said,
I will not forget that restaurant too. We're not going
to forget this music. And of course how far these
guys have come to appreciate the time today too. Here
on the show, it's Tim, it's Trip, it's Chandler and
Brandon from the group Blandco. Give him a follow lit

road coming up there. We're gonna make it tour twenty
twenty five, kicking off February twenty seventh at Minneapolis, Minnesota,
