(01:38):

the next step in human evolution.Joining me now is Michael Peter Larvin.
Michael, welcome back to the Exo. And it's been a long time,
my friend, it has Rob.It's great to talk to you again.

(02:27):
What have you been up to sinceyou and I last talked those many years
ago? Oh? What, Evan, I've been up to. My wife
and I ran a magazine in Virginiafor seven or eight years called The Echo
World, and that kind of putVirginia back a bit, or at least
it turned its on It opened itsmind to other possibilities. I've been I've

(02:51):
been traveling a bunch. We've movedto New Orleans, which kind of feels
like I've come home. And I'vewritten this book, The travel Tales from
Unknown Realities, and uh and workingon a few others. Tell me what
are known realities? Anyway? Well, Rob, if we open our minds

(03:13):
and think about the world as weknow it, the material world, I
kind of see that as one sliceof the onion of reality that beyond that,
if you peel back the nature ofexistence. There are many other dimensions.
We know there's other planets, butother dimensions is the stuff of science

(03:35):
fiction and comic books in a lotof times. But I have experience in
my life many things that have bythe material world standard, there's no reason
to exist. I think everybody cantouch these realities, experience these experiences with
some practice and some focus, andI think there exist out there and they

(03:59):
are much more real in some casesthan our own reality. So what are
some of the experiences that you've had, Peter Michael, I've been really blessed.
My father was a funeral director. My grandfather was a funeral director,
so I grew up in a funeralhome, which brings a lot of different

(04:20):
views of existence to a young life. When I was five years old,
my father brought me down to thefuneral home. He had decided I was
going to become a funeral director, and made me touch a dead body.
At that point, an electric shockwent up my arm, and I had
a different connection with life and deaththan I head up to that point in

(04:42):
five years and has stuck with meever since. In my years have progressed.
I became an apprentice in the funeralhome and helped my father collect dead
bodies in the middle of the nightand in bomb bodies. I experienced many
ghosts. At one point I wasin New England where the ground freezer is

(05:06):
pretty high, so they did graveswith back holes in the winter time,
and a lot of times they catchold graves and knock the bones all around
the cemetery. In my teen years, I thought that was pretty cool,
So after a funeral I would goback and collect the bones, because it
was nicely sacrilegious. I bring themback to my room and put them in

(05:28):
a terrarium I had. After awhile, I started having the strangest dreams,
which got worse and worse, andto the point that I thought I
was going insane. I begged andprayed for these dreams to stop, and
one night I figured emerged from thedreams and said his name was Phineas Goodhugh,
and he had come to speak forthe bones. He told me that

(05:50):
I had interrupted the bones planned afterlife experiences and that they needed me to
return them to say I, somehow, not knowing lucid dreaming at that point
in time, asked him how whatwould happen if I didn't. He said,
they'd drive me mad. I askedhim what to give me if I

(06:13):
did, and he said, whatdo you want? And I said,
I want to know a lot ofsecrets of reality. Well, be careful
what you asked for. My lifehas been full of all kinds of mystical
experiences because of that. The nextmorning, I got up and I buried
the bones in the back of afuneral home in sacred ground. And a

(06:34):
few weeks later I was exploring anotheranother cemetery and found a tombstone back from
the eighteen hundreds with the name PhineasGoodhue on it. I had never seen
before. These kinds of things havehappened to me all my life. I've
traveled. I've spent a lot oftime in Latin America, in both the

(06:56):
Yucatan and Mexico and Guatemala, andin the Amazon and the Andy Mountains,
practicing or experiencing rituals with a numberof shamans and a different number of different
groupings and tribes. I've traveled inAfrica, Europe and the Caribbean and experienced

(07:19):
things such as voodoo and African magic. So do these rituals really work?
Yes? I I'm not a preacher. I don't care if anyone believes me
or if anyone uses the stuff thatI've learned, But my experience tells me

(07:42):
that if people want to have magicalexperiences, I want to do magical rituals
and ceremonies with either the right guidancewhich helps a lot, or even on
their own through research. Nowadays youcan do it on YouTube or through books
and articles. You can find thetechniques, and with the right intent and

(08:07):
a certain amount of persistence and suspendingour disbelief, we can bring about amazing
results. Years ago, I saton a hillside in Mathiu in Massachusetts with
a group of people, and wewere running a party that was turning bad
because motorcycle games had come and theywere going to have quite a fight.

(08:33):
It was a clear night, butI convinced the people who were running the
party to go up on a hillwith me and that we could make it
rain. They weren't quite sure, but they did trust me, so we
did a ritual, and sure enough, out of the clear sky came clouds
and it poured, and the partywas ended and the fights were averted.
That's a simple thing that I didin my youth and could be done,

(08:54):
and I've seen done miraculously a largerscale all over the world. But Peter,
how does it work? You know, how do these rituals that people
conduct actually change the laws of physics? The laws of physics. As we've
learned more in science, and Igreatly respect science, we've we've peeled back

(09:20):
a lot of what we thought wereunmovable laws where we've got to the level
of quantum reality. Now, ourthoughts, our intentions, our spiritual beliefs
are extremely powerful. Larry Dorsey, famous author, wrote a book on the
power of prayer, and he hadpeople pray to their the deities of their

(09:45):
belief systems and others pray to Iraqand others not pray for sick sick people,
and he did. He did ascientific experiment and the people that were
prayed for, whether it was toa de spiritual deity or a rock,
did better in their healing than theones that weren't praying for. We have
scientific proof. What happens, inmy estimation is that there's a lot more,

(10:11):
as I've said earlier, to realitythan we know. There are a
lot of spiritual entities that exist andcan be called upon to aid and assist
us. There's also a great powerin each individual. Psychics and intuitives are
not unique. They've just worked ontheir abilities, or we're bond with their

(10:37):
abilities that any of us can developand fine tune, just like learning to
play basketball or building our muscles liftingweights. And when we do this under
the right circumstances, we can movemountains. So if this knowledge is known
and it can help mankind, whyhaven't we been taught this? Why has

(11:03):
this been suppressed? Well, Ihate to sound like a conspiracy theorist,
I hate to sound like I believein conspiracies. But society organize the way
it is doesn't want individuals to findtheir full potential or be able to take
care of themselves. Right now.We give away our power to institutions,

(11:28):
we work jobs. We believe isthat spiritual leaders can talk to God for
us, but we kind of doit ourselves. We give out. We
give our power to doctors and toa number of other authority figures. If
you knew right now that with someattention you could have your dreams come true,

(11:56):
you would be much harder to control, and you might not work a
normal job. Not that you worka normal job anyway, but you might
not be as easy to control oras likely to consume the latest car or
the biggest house. Okay, Soif this information had been shared with us

(12:20):
in the earlier ages of our development, would we not have had the ability
to grow using this these rituals inorder to get ahead both as a society
and individually without having to worry aboutthe control of religious philosophies or the illuminati

(12:43):
or the new World Order. Sure, and there's a variable of answers to
that, rob and they're fairly simple, which is why I hesitate in that.
Perhaps, and there's many levels tothem. Perhaps we incarnate in this
world to learn lessons. Perhaps humanitywasn't ready for this information to come as

(13:09):
public as it is now. Perhapswe had to go through the historical experiences
we went through to get to hear. Perhaps I'm building on the knowledge and
experiences in my genes of my ancestors. There's a lot of possibilities. What
I feel is most important is thattoday, in the twenty first century,

(13:33):
we have access to this ability, and it's really our belief systems and our
fears that get in the way ofus really tapping into it. Michael Michael,
please stend by, We've got totake our first break explanation. Michael
Peter Lashman's are a very special guestand we'll be back on the other side

old time boove. I'll tell youabout the magic and a free or soul.

(15:20):
twelve twenty dot CA. Michael PeterLajevan is my special guest, and we're
talking about the paranormal, the occult, mysticism, magic and the unknown realities.
Now, Peter, before we wentto the commercial break, you and
I were talking about, you know, the use of rituals and why we
haven't been using rituals at a veryearly age in our in our sociological upbringing,

(15:48):
so we could actually use them todayto better society, humanity as well
as each other. And you kindof alluded that, you know, the
other powers out there, the religiousphilosophies, the Illuminati, or the New
World Order that didn't want us toget that far. But knowing what we

(16:11):
know today, Peter, isn't itpossible that we could actually do it succeed
and that the other powers or thenegative powers really pose no threat to us.
You're absolutely right, Rob. Ithink the time is coming, the
time is here. I think theinformation is available as it's never been available
before. And I think there's moreand more individuals waking up, breaking the

(16:37):
spell of disbelief or their lack ofpower, breaking out of their drama and
the pettiness that keeps us focused awayfrom our fullest potential. More and more,
I have people contacting me because ofmy four books and a number of

(16:57):
articles and interviews I've done over theyears. I had people contacting me all
the time saying, I had thisexperience, What does it mean, I'd
like to learn more in this area? How do I do that. There's
a ground swell of revolution going onin people's living rooms that's not reported in

(17:18):
mainstream media, such as give mesome examples, Peter Michael, Sure I
had. I had somebody call meyesterday saying that they had they were pretty
sure that their grandmother was dying, but they had prayed and visualized and meditated
and done ritual and she seemed toget a second lease on life. They

(17:44):
were wondering if they were responsible andhow to keep this going. That's were
they responsible? Was it a coincidence? I'm not the one to decide that,
but they did. They took actionsthat they felt could make a difference.
There was a difference made. Ihad somebody. I've had a multitude

(18:04):
of people, well, because I'vebeen in Latin America so much, write
to me about experiences they've had inthe Nasca lines on Lake Titikaka in Machepchu,
that there were otherworldly uh, andthese are average people who went down
for our week vacation. That theyfelt something they had never felt before.

(18:26):
That they thought they saw something thatwasn't there. That they that they felt
like they got a message from someother place than they were used to.
These things that are happening on aregular basis. How many of your of
your listeners haven't seen a ghost, haven't felt like when somebody was dying they

(18:49):
either knew it or they were contactedsoon thereafter. More and more these sort
of phenomenas are taking place, andpeople are opening up, Well, if
that's true, and what else istrue? And what else can I do?
You're not necessarily accused of wearing analuminofoil hat if you believe in UFOs
as we once were. A lothas changed over the thirty some odd years

(19:12):
that I've been doing their show,Peter, you both. When I started
Magical Blend magazine back in nineteen eighty, people used to tell me that that
was evil and people weren't supposed toknow that knowledge. Now it's in classrooms
and being used by a wide rangeof professionals. Yeah, we see the

(19:33):
same thing with the X Chronicles newspaperthat we've been publishing since nineteen ninety and
the times are changing. But somethingthat I've noticed, Peter, that the
power of belief is the strongest powerin the universe. And when you get
people going to these religious or mysticalplaces, they expect to see something,

(19:56):
they expect to feel something. AndI often wonder how many of these people
are manifesting these these sightings, theseexperiences, these feelings themselves. In some
cases, well, of course theyare. I mean what I tell people
when they asked me if they shouldconsult a psychic or an intuitive or go

(20:18):
to a seance or to this womanwho can bring through dead relatives, I
say, do it with discretion.Just because somebody says they can do something
or claims have abilities doesn't mean theydo. And if it feels right inside
you, then then you've got somethingto go on. If it feels wrong

(20:40):
at any point, then walk away. And and I think when you say
doing things in group and expectations, those are real powerful magical tools. But
are they misuse Well, we've allheard of proud hypnosis and how gangs of
people can lead each other wrong. On the other hand, when you practice

(21:07):
things like prayer and ritual and ceremony, you know that if you do it
alone you can bring about results. If you bring it with do it with
another person, you can bring aboutmore likely, more powerful results. And
if you can do it with threeor a group of people, and I'll
focus on the same outcome, thatthe likelihood increases exponentially. Peter, there

(21:29):
seems to be a lot more interactionwith demonic forces or forces of negativity from
either this realm or other realms,as well as other dimensions. What do
you think is causing this? Oh, there's a number of things. One,
I go back to what I saidearlier. What we're told by organized

(21:51):
religion has an effect on us.I was doing your radio interview the other
day and the fellow you know itpitches himself as someone who's very open minded
and very open to spiritual and alternativespiritual and paranormal material. But about halfway
through the interview he said to me, I think you're doing demon work.
I think this is evil. Icouldn't help but laugh because I'm anything,

(22:15):
But I've helped so many people withit that I know I'm not But the
other thing is as the light it'slighter, the doc gets docker. If
humanity has been greatly affected, andif you talk to organized religions, especially
the Catholic Church, we sure havebeen by doc and demonic forces for centuries.

(22:38):
Then if humanity is waking up,we're beginning to shine our own light
and the light of our unlimited godhood. Basically I'm brighter. So the demonic
and doc forces are desperately trying tocome in slow that down or stop it
so they can still have a handholdand have an effect on humanity. The

(23:03):
other part is that there are beliefsystems, and sometimes I belong to them,
that our fear and doubts and dramaand suffering actually needs a number of
spiritual entities. It's kind of amana for them to live on. And

(23:23):
therefore, if we stop doing that, if we move out of fear,
we're we moving that group of beingsfood source. So how would someone protect
themselves from the negative powers that growthor the negative forces. That's a great
question. I think it's a veryimportant one. Rock protection is very important

(23:45):
when you enter these fields because justlike a Ouiji board, when you open
the door to possibilities anything can walkthrough, especially if you're untrained. And
as as silly as it sounds whatI've said about organized religion, when we're
trained early on to do prayer,it gets into our deep subconscious and it

(24:10):
becomes a powerful tool to shine alight because we have no matter how much
we go through changes, we havea belief system and there are entities I
mean, that are out there thatwe can call on that are very powerful.
But there's also a number of spiritualtools that are non spiritual, and

(24:30):
it's not necessarily gallic. It's amatter of visualization. Meditation is very powerful.
Visualization and self talk are very powerful. Sometimes, when I've known I'm
going into do some kind of astraltraveling or ritual in a dangerous zone,

(24:52):
we'll call it. I'll try tobring something very imaginative in to protect me,
whether it's an armor of mirrors toreflect back any negativity, whether it's
manatees from Florida swimming around me,to confuse any entities that are coming at

(25:14):
me. The other thing is whenwe feel ourselves falling into fear or being
attacked, to just say no,not to quote Nancy Reagan, but we
can say no to these beings andstep out of our fear, and they
really need us to be afraid tocontrol us in most cases. So if

(25:37):
we just stand in our strength andour beliefs that we're doing good work,
and that we're entering these realms notto cause trouble or harm to anyone,
but to do good, we havea protection that we bring in. Where
did these entities come from? Peter, From the far ends of the universe.

(25:59):
Again, if we go back tomy viewing reality as an onion,
if we live on this plane ofexistence, and how many species, even
with the extension rate, exist onEarth alone, and our scientists guess that
there are many other populated planets inour universe. And that's just planets.

(26:21):
If you talk about other dimensions andstates of vibration, you have countless levels
of existence and layers of history thathave I mean, they spoke in ancient
Samaria and ancient Egypt and ancient Peruabout entities that existed, and some of
them, I believe from first handexperience still exists to this day because people

(26:48):
have believed in them and given themenergy to exist, and some just pop
in. My wife, bless heris I grew up in Sweden, and
she's a Nordic witch. She's writtentwo books in Swedish about Swedish magic or
Nordic magic. And she taught mesomething called sata, which is an ancient

(27:14):
spiritual practice similar to but different than, voodoo possession. And we kind of
refined it between us because I wasraised in the Western occult tradition and the
shaman the Latin American Shamanic tradition, and it took us a bit to kind
of get our magical practices together. But she taught me seda, and between

(27:41):
us when we lived in Virginia andthe country, we would sit in our
poets overlooking the forest and bring inentities from other dimensions to gather our knowledge
and reference points. And yeah,we're both writers, sure we probably have
active imaginations. But I felt thingsin my body and my soul when we

(28:07):
did this deep down, and wegot voices and knowledge that really seemed like
things I couldn't and wouldn't make up. Whether it was an entity in another
dimension that goes about healing and hasno appendages but grows. And I'm Michael,

(28:29):
I hate to do this to you, my friend, Michael. I've
got to take my he's done. The appendage melts away and so does the
picture. All right, Michael,I've got to take my break and exonation.
Michael Peter Langeman is our guest, and we'll be back on the other
side of this commercial break. I'mRob McConnell. This is the X Zone
on your hometown radio Classic twelve twentyand of course Classic twelve twenty dot.

(29:07):
It's magic, you know, neverreally, it's logic never you've never been

(29:29):
away. And welcome back everyone. This is the X Own. I am
Rob McConnell. We're coming to youon your hometown radio Classic twelve twenty www
dot Classic twelve twenty dot ca A. Michael Peter lang is our special guest,
and Michael, how can people findout more about you or contact you

(29:51):
if they have a serious issue thatthey need help with? Sure, Rob,
I'm very available. I'm all overthe internet. I've got a Facebook
page is an author Michael Peter Langevinand a personal one under the same name,
Twitter, i X and Instagram andpeople can email me at Michael Peter
Langevin at gmail dot com if theywant a question, I'm more than willing

(30:17):
to respond. I'd love to helppeople have been doing it for decades now
and it's very satisfied. Is thereany particular type of problem that people are
facing today that you just can't Youcan't imagine why these specific problems are this
one specific problem is manifesting more thanothers. Well, I do. I've

(30:44):
got my degree in social work andtherapy, so i do on occasion child
therapy, and I'm dealing with moreand more kids who have since COVID,
who have depression and anxiety, andit seems to be a lot of adults
are suffering from the same thing thatthat and like fear, I mean,

(31:08):
you can't just say stop, butit'd be n as we could. But
people do have the ability to breakout of that. They don't have to
use magic, but it's it's agreat tool. Prayer, meditation, magic,
exercise, good diet, simple thingsthat a lot of people don't don't

(31:29):
think about. And then to developa creative outlet is extremely powerful to offset
these things. And I find thatthat people who want to go down the
alternative spirituality path that by saying turningoff your electronics one night a week even

(31:51):
and focusing that on doing praying ormeditating or dancing or drumming or chanting,
or just sitting and steering out awindow a couple hours a week enhances spiritual
energy, if you will, andour ability to dispel a lot of negative

(32:13):
states of being. Is it goingto cure schizophrenia or bipolar disorder? No,
probably not right away, but it'snot going to hurt it. And
we do have amazing healing abilities withinourselves. I've seen healing going on just
an individual on themselves and other people, to individuals around the world that our

(32:38):
doctors would say are impossible. Andif we believe that, we can really
dispel so much of what I mean, the truth is in the United States
and Canada, I assume the foodindustry doesn't sell us food and the medical
industry doesn't work towards our health widegeneric generalities, but to a great degree,

(33:04):
it's true. And if we takethe power back to ourselves, we
can start eating whole foods that feedour bodies, our minds, and our
spirit, and we can start doingexercise that do the same, and we
can start healing ourselves both psychologically andphysically in so many ways. Are you
finding that the younger people in today'ssociety are turning to alternative religions as well

(33:31):
as them, as well as magicand the occult. Yes, very much
so. And again I did thesame thing I do with psychics. The
people that I talked to, Iurge them to use their discussion. It's
really easy in a lot of areasnow to join a witches coven. I'm

(33:53):
I'm sure didn't used to be fortyyears ago, but it's easy to join
a group of visualizers or meditators oroccult practitioners. They're around, you can
meet them, meet up in mostmajor cities, and some of them are

(34:14):
great. And to get in agroup of like minded beings and practice at
is wonderful. I personally haven't founda group in all my years that I
believe everything they teach. But it'sgreat to take a little here and a
little there, spend a little timewith this group and a little time with
that group. But in general,I think younger people are opening up with

(34:42):
their minds and spirits much more sothan your and my peers did twenty years
ago. That there's a feeling thatthere's other possibilities out there and an exploration
that's going on. There's a lotof misinformation. Just look at uh TikTok.

(35:02):
But but there's also a lot ofreally good information. If you do
your research, it's available, andif you try it and it works,
then you got something that you canwork with. But what about the negative
connotations that for example, witchcraft hasyou know the over the over the years,
which which is witchcraft? And evenWicca has been frowned upon. And

(35:25):
uh, let's just what is thequote from the ball Bible? You probably
know it better than me, ButGod wants none who sooth sayers and magic
doers and and fortune tellers, uhto be to be attended to something that's
terrible quote, but something like that. And so you got a Bible which
is the best selling book in theworld saying that it's bad. You've got

(35:52):
You've got. Years ago, whenI was doing magical Blend magazine in San
Francisco, uh or robits up themagazine on National TV and said it was
the devil's tool. It was greatfor subscriptions. I couldn't have bought an
ad like that. But there's alot of people who have their belief systems

(36:15):
and bless them. If it worksfor them, that's great, but they
feel often feel threatened by other people'sbelief systems and practices if they're different than
their own. But the evil,Oh, are there devil worshipers? Yeah,
most of them are ridiculous as faras I'm concerned, but they're out

(36:36):
there. Are there cult leaders whowill exploit you. Yeah, I've run
into a future many of those. But there are good groups of people.
And witchcraft of its nature is likea knife or a fire. It can
be used for good or evil, but it's it's from my from my experience,

(36:59):
it's usually a group of good meetingpeople who get together and practice some
level of ritual and enhance their livesand have a good level of comradeship,
similar to a church. I rememberhaving a oh my gosh, a wicked
on. I'm sorry, it wasn'twicked. She was a witch and she

(37:22):
was saying, Rob. What wedo is no different than what Sam and
his friends may do on a Thursdaynight, go to the bowling alley and
have some fun. The only differenceis that we go in our group,
we go into a forest and weactually partake in celebrating nature. And a
lot of that's that's true. Imean, every witchcraft group group that I've

(37:45):
met is different. They're much lessuniform than a lot of organized religions.
They they have commonalities, but they'revery different. Some of them just do
that and it's connected with with nature, and it's making nature their their church,

(38:05):
and that works wonderfully. Others areindoors in New York City or uh
Deli meeting in a circle in anapartment and and doing ceremony. They vary
greatly, uh and and in someareas they're just like I know a lot
of Pagans who who like to gettogether and and and share recipes for lentil

(38:30):
soup uh and and do some magicwhile they're doing it. Uh So there's
all levels of it, and andit's it's up to everybody well, and
a lot of people when they comeinto alternative spirituality, they make a choice.
I can change this much from whatI was raised with. And that's

(38:52):
how far they go. And that'sas far as they're supposed to go.
And it makes them happy and workfor them, then then that's just fine.
Is keep pushing the limits further andfurther and further, and they really
are no limits. So if thisis the case, Peter, and there's
no harm, why are a lotof these alternative religions still in the closet.

(39:12):
Why aren't they mainstream, Why don'tthey come out and say this is
who we are, this is whatwe do. Rob But when I tell
people I hear voices and I speakto beings from other dimensions, a lot
of people are ready to lock meup or just walk away. I've been
on a lot of radio shows wherethey say, well, you say those
things, but you don't sound crazy. You know, it's just our cultural

(39:37):
norms. If you believe in thingsthat you can't prove one hundred percent scientifically,
are hit with your hand and geta soundback, then they're not real
and you are crazy. We've seenthat with the whole extraterrestrial thing, and
now the US government is saying thatextraterrestrials are probably real. So things go

(39:59):
through change as society is ready forthem to be accepted beyond what we call
the norm. You know, LikeI watched the congressional hearings a couple of
months ago, and I also listenedto the whistleblowers, and there's nothing new,
nothing has changed over the last thirtyfour years. When it comes to
the UFO phenomenon. Peter Oh,I think the I think the US government

(40:22):
and the Catholic Church for that matter, have have more acknowledged it than they
than they ever did before. Havethey Have they done anything big about it?
No, but there's a level ofmaybe there is something that wasn't there
before before it was all swampcasts.Well, we know when you talk about

(40:43):
the Catholic Church or the Vatican,or any other religious organization where the Bible
is the tenant and the book, you you know the book the Bible is
filled with paranormal events. It's filledwith the UFOs, It's filled with angels
and other beings. It's filled withso many wonders. I can't understand why

(41:07):
the suppression because basically, like yousaid before, it's the biggest selling book
going. It always has been,So why not. Best way to keep
a cigarette is to hide it andplay view rob that people get that,
But how many people do you know, sit and read the Bible on their
own? A certain amount, Yeah, I do have it force fed to

(41:30):
them by their minister or their priests. I think the day of being force
fed by any member of the clergyis is well gone. I think that
people have come up to their ownstandards and are believing in what they want
to believe, and I think thatthe religious organizations are certainly coming up to

(41:50):
the times, so these are Ithink that's a wonderful statement, and I
want you to be right. Iwant to be a little bit old fashioned
on what I said, and Ithink that the more that that happens,
the better off individuals in society. Is I agree with you, my friend.
You and I have to take ourfinal break for this hour and explanation.

(42:15):
Our guess this hour is Peter I'msorry, is Michael Peter Lange.

mysticism and the occult. When wecome back more with our special guest.

times. We'll be back on theother side of this break as the exone

(44:36):
And the X Chronicles newspaper is availablewith our compliments at www dot x
Chronicles dot net. Michael Peter Lajevansour special guest, and Michael, it's
always great talking to you. You'vedone so much over the years that I've
had the pleasure of knowing you andthe people that you work with. But
you do a lot of traveling.Again, I was wondering if there are

(44:57):
any tales, any orries you canshare with us, or any experiences that
you've had firsthand traveling in the worldand doing the thing you do so many,
so many. I've written two otherbooks that deal specifically with Latin America,
The Secrets of the Ancient Incas andThe Secrets of the of the Amazon

(45:22):
Shamans, and and in them Ihave a multitude of stories and all sudden
travel tales from the unknown reality.I speak of a couple I've gotten to
see Shamans in the Amazon and theAndes do things that we think are impossible.
One of my favorites is Vanishing Eddy. Vanishing Eddy Uh was a shaman

(45:43):
outside of an old rubber city innorthern Bolivia, and I had heard about
him, and I seeked him out. And I found him in a bar,
which you often do with shamans, and bought him a couple of drinks
and asked the secrets to his magic. And he kind of liked me,
and he said, meet my apprenticehere after doc, and he'll walk you

(46:07):
out to my to my magical huton the edge of town. And after
quite a hike that night, Igot to his cabinet in the in the
Andes and the Amazon, they usedguinea pigs as we use chickens a lot.
It was they didn't have poultry whenthe anchors were were in charge,

(46:29):
and and they it's a cultural thingto to eat to to raise guinea pigs
and eat them. And Eddie hadguinea pigs in his house. They have
high sills on the door so theguinea pigs can't get out, and they
just kind of run around until it'start to eat them. Uh. As
I was sitting there drinking tea withEddie, uh, the guinea pigs started

(46:50):
disappearing, pop pop, pop pop, And I said, Eddie, are
you doing this? And he said, of course. And then Eddie was
gone and I kind of sat theretrying to figure it out. And then
he walked back through the door.He said, I'm sorry I had to
relieve myself. I said, butyou didn't leave, Eddie, and he
just kind of smiled and we talkedfor a little bit and then he was

(47:12):
gone again. And when he cameback, I had just moved to northern
California where there's a lot of yellowthistle that grows, and he had a
basically arm full of it. Andhe said, oh, I just visited
where you live. It's a beautifularea. We don't have these flowers here
in the Amazon. And I said, Eddie, Eddie, I don't know
how you do this. I wantto learn. I want to learn pop

(47:36):
he was gone again. I satthere with his apprentice for half an hour
and nothing happened, and his parentssaid, yeah, he didn't like to
teach his magic. He likes touse it to help people and open people
up to possibilities. But he's probablyin the bar in town. So we
hiked back and sure enough Eddie wassitting at the bar and I jumped on

(47:57):
the stool next to him and Isaid, Eddie, Eddie, I want
to be coming your other apprentice.I want to learn this magic. Eddie
almost killed himself laughing, and hesaid, you'd be the worst apprentice.
I'd kill you. Your role isto go travel meet people, right,
not not to be anyone's magical apprentice. It just would work. That kind

(48:20):
of magic is learnable, not overnight, and not from just one book.
And I haven't learned that one.But it is learnable and it is doable,
and it is out there. Duringthe commercial break, you and I
were chatting briefly, and you youtold me something about a flying carpet or
a magic carpet. Yes, Iwas. I was in the Istanbul one

(48:44):
time, and and I was witha friend from from give me a minute,
Sweden, no, Switzerland. Andhe he was a slight bit of
a con artist, and he hadopened the shop and and it hadn't gone
anywhere, but he had cords. And he convinced this one guy in the

(49:06):
bazaar in Istanbul that we were rugdealers. And the guy just treated us
royally. He had told him thatif we liked the rugs, we would
buy a bunch of them and sellthem in Switzerland and the United States.
And the guy fed us and gaveus wonderful Arabic coffee, and at the
end of the day he wanted toput the cream on the pie. So

(49:31):
he invited us to u through abunch of alleyways to a big hall where
he locked the door, and heopened his lives closet, and out of
it he took a rug, andhe put the rug down on the ground
and told us to sit on it, and he walked around the rug speaking

(49:52):
I don't know what, and sprinkling. It seemed like herbs and h To
this day, I swear the rugrose above the ground and moved around the
hall and then settled back down. And the man said, if you became

(50:13):
a good client and really did increasemy sales a great deal, I have
access to a couple of these andcould possibly make one available to you.
The next day we left Istanbul becausethere was no shop to sell the rugs
in. But I always remembered theexperience like none other traveling throughout the world.

(50:36):
What was the one experience you hadthat you will never forget the experience
of experiences, Well, the onethat comes to mind, and there's been
a lot of those, but theone that comes to mind was I was
on a camel caravan across the Saharafor I think it was nine days,
and it was wonderful. The Bedouinguides set up camp for us and cooked

(50:59):
us uh Bedouine meals and told hisstories and sang songs late into the night.
But being on a camel all dayin the hot sun, you know,
even with a turbinon and and yourface raft and the scoff it's it's
pretty wearisome. And you know, after about the eighth day, you get
almost hilarious. And I looked overand beside me was this rather tall man

(51:25):
on on on a camel, andI knew he wasn't part of our group.
And I said, oh my god, I'm loosening. He said,
no, no, I'm real.I'm a genie. I'm a Gin.
And I said, oh, that'snice, because I was sure I had
lost my wit. And he said, uh. He told me a bunch

(51:46):
of stories how Mohammed had tried tomake the Gin into demons and had tried
to chase them out of the citiesand and and really stole a lot of
their power. Uh, and thatnow they they mostly live in the deserts
where no humans lived. And hehad just appeared to me because I had

(52:07):
some kind of weird energy and hewanted to play, and he said I
could. I'm real, I canmake your camel throw you right now.
And I said no, no,please don't. He said, okay,
and then somebody else in the group'scamel threw them off. It just went
wild and threw them off, sowe all had to stop and get off
our camels. Where the guides gavethis woman and one of their camels and

(52:30):
took the one that had kind ofhad a problem. And while I was
standing by my camel, I sawthis rock in the ground. It was
kind of a greenish rock and lookedodd. And I picked it up.
And this fellow was standing there andhe said, that's a magic stone from
the Sahara. I made it appearfor you. Show it to the head

(52:50):
guide in the evening when you stop, he'll tell you how special it is.
I thought, yeah, okay,I picked up a rock and I'm
hearing voices. He rode beside mefor a while and then and then disappeared.
That night when we stopped, Ishowed it to the head guide and
he said, oh my god, this is an amazing thing. Nobody ever
finds them. They're dangerous, butthey'll grant your wishes, and you have

(53:15):
to throw it in a fire andmake a wish. So I threw it
in the fire. And I wishwe were going to Casablanca, and I
wish that I would have a mystical, wonderful experience there. Well, I
had a series of them, coincidence, my imagination hallucinations in the desert.
I never thought so, but youcan't convince people. I mean, why

(53:37):
mother? So what is next forMichael Peter Langma, Well, I'm living
in New Orleans. You know whata city. I used to do magical
blend in San Francisco back in thelate seventies early eighties, and it was
a very creative, magical place. But New Orleans today is what San Francisco
was then, and something else. There's blue, there's vampires, this ghosts.

(54:01):
They're not just forguided towards. They'rereal and they're here. I'm working
on a book called Behind the Scenesin New Orleans, and I've met and
interviewed a lot of magic workers hereand people who who deal with the unknown,
and it's as wild as anything I'veseen in Africa or South America.

(54:25):
That there is voodoo and it doeswork, and there's a special kind in
New Orleans. So I'm excited tobe doing exploration here. I just got
back from Sweden. We visited mywife's family, which was just lovely,
and some of her friends who practicedmagic and did a bunch of ritual there
that was really fun. Peter,I'm going to give you one minute,

(54:47):
because I've got we're coming down tothe end of the this show for tonight.
What is what message would you liketo share with the listening audience of
Classic twelve twenty and the listeners aroundthe world who listen to it us on
Classic twelve. Any of them cando it. Anyone can do this stuff.
Use discretion, believe and be persistentand magic and huge amounts of spiritual

(55:14):
abilities. Psychic abilities are available toall of us. Just do the work
and believe. So where would theygo for information on how to how to
even start getting into theirs? Ihave an author's page on Amazon where all
my books are available on some ofthe anthologies that I've been in the Other

(55:35):
place is just pick a subject, whether it's the occult, or mysticism or
alternative spiritual practicing, do a searchonline. I was younger book signing in
a Bonds and Noble last week, and right there on a bookshelf was Magical

(55:57):
and Occult Secrets a magazine that wasa special from I think it was Time
of Time magazines and it had somegood basic information and I have all All
of those stores are cult sections, are new age sections, and there's a
cult and mystical bookstores in most majorcities across the United across North America.

(56:22):
