Speaker 1 (00:03):
Good morning, family, God, good morning, God bless you. Welcome
back to the Morning Devo. Is you bro Sam Lopez
aka DJ Sam Rock, so Win is with a z
org live That so Win is with a z dot
org streaming on streaming platforms that allow the social media
networks to get this through and also on x formerly
known as Twitter. Amen, we should be available there as well. Listen.

(00:25):
We're here for a new day, is a new start, Amen.
And I woke up thinking, Man, we do this a lot, right,
We get together often, Amen. And getting subscribers for the
Adopt Bible Study. A Man, I'm gonna get back to that,
Lord willing very soon. Just been a very busy year Amen.
But the Adope Bible Studies, it's private podcast. Amen. I'm

(00:48):
geared for young adults and adults. Amen. It's not like
a general Bible study. Is an adult Bible study, and
we get to the nitty gritty, to the nitty gritty
of things. Amen. But we're here. We're here, amen, So
we're gonna do that very soon. My beautiful wife, you

(01:09):
need a little pezz is on with us. Morning Blessings
to you as well, God bless you, Thank you for
coming to the Morning Devo, my wife. Amen, So we're
here and it's early man like I couldn't hardly sleep
yesterday I was tossing and turning. But we're here in
the studio. Amen, God is good. Let me make sure
everything's running here. Make sure my volume is good as well. Yes,

(01:33):
so that seems okay, And let me refresh this pace.
So make sure I get my timer back. Without my timer,
I'll just start yapping and then I'll forget the time,
and then we'll be here for a little bit longer.
So today's morning, Devo. I'm calling this access Egles agreement,
Access Eagles agreement. Whatever you give access to, you give

(01:57):
authority to. Think about it. So, whatever you like, if
you leave your doors open of your car, your windows
down all year round, and I don't care if you're
in Beverly Hills or if you're in a ghetto, you're
inviting someone to have access to your vehicle without even

(02:18):
breaking in. So you're giving authority to whoever has access
to your vehicle without you being there. So whatever you
give access to, you give authority to. We're gonna be
in Proverbs. Check the number four, verse twenty three. Today
in the morning, Devo, we have any questions, comments, concerns,
prayer requests, or anything along those lines. Please don't hesitate it,

(02:40):
even on the live chat. That's what we're here for,
right We're here to communicate, and we're here to be
there from one another. So we're gonna pray first. After
we pray, we shared us out for like sixty seconds,
and then on the other side of those sixty seconds,
we'll get right into today's morning. Devo Amen So fathering
the name of Jesus, I thank you so much for today,

(03:01):
for waking us up without the alarm clock right or
with the alarm clock. But ultimately we know is that
your grace wakes us up for a new day. Thank you,
Lord God for being the best and the awesome God
that you are for us, in us and through us.
I pray Lord God, a hedge of protection over myself,
over my wife, over our family, over our children, over

(03:23):
our grandchildren, of our family members, from the very youngest
family member to the very oldest, and every single person
in between. I pray a hedge of protection. I prayed
the peace of God to cover us all. I've dispatched
angels of God right now under the authority of the
Lord Jesus Yr sho ahamashiek to invade the darkness, destroy

(03:44):
the darkness, and destroy the plans of the enemy over
our lives. In Jesus Holy Name, I pray Lord God,
that we would know how to deny access to those
things that are trying to separate, divide, kill, destroy and steal.
We come against those things, and the name of the
Holy Ghosts and the name of Jesus and the name

(04:05):
of the Father, we come against those things. Or we
don't want to give access Lord to those things that
are not supposed to be there. We only want to
give access to you completely, to our hearts, to our minds,
to our actions, and to our will. We want your purpose,
we want your plan, we want your energy lood, and

(04:25):
we want to focus on you because you're perfect. You
are author and perfective of our faith. And we give
you all the glory, our honor, worship and praise for
it in advance. Thank you for your word and proverbs
that we're going to look at today. And I pray
that Holy Spirit will inspire us to take action of
what we're learning today. And Jesus Holy Name, I pray
it is by faith and all those who agree we say, Amen,

(04:47):
Sue that Amen, help me share this out to as
many people as possible. Sixty seconds. When we come back,
We'll get right into today's morning Devo. I'll be right back,

(06:09):
a man, We're back. Thank you so much for shining
light into the darkness. When you share God's word, when
you share ministries, when you share a purpose and plan
of God to somebody else, you're actually shining light into
someone else's darkness. And you don't have to say anything
about it. Just be about it. Sometimes we just have
to show up. We don't have to force anything in

(06:31):
life when it comes to Christ. We just have to
show up, be available to what God is doing a man,
and God will take it from there. Amen. So let's
go for it. Let me get this word on the
screen for those who are just listening, no worries, no problems.
I'm going to read a word for words. So that way,
if you're just listening, maybe running, maybe exercise, and maybe
a driving a man and you're on the network and

(06:52):
you just pressing play, want to hear what's going on.
No worries, no problem. I've been thinking about that as well,
So I'm going to read this word for word. Amen.
To be honest, I wish I would just do this
audio because I love audio. I think audio is more
powerful than video. That's just my humble opinion, because when
you're hearing someone, when you're hearing the word, especially, it

(07:14):
starts painting images in your mind. For me, I remember
those images more through audio than when I actually see
something in the video. Amen, access equals agreement. Let's go
for it. Let me put this on the screen. Amen,
access equals agreement. And we're going to see that in
the Word of God today. In Proverbs Chatter number four,

(07:36):
verse number twenty three, the Bible says, above all else,
guard your hearts, for everything you do flows from it.
For what from your heart? Because your heart is your
your focal point of life, what's going on in your life? Right,

(07:58):
So if you don't guard your heart, if you let
everything have access to your heart, you're gonna be shaking,
You're gonna be orderline. Let's see, you're got to be
too giving of yourself and of your life. So every
single person comes across you, and that's not really a

(08:18):
healthy thing to do. Amen, think about it. If you're
not all bad, if you're not guarding your heart and
you're letting access to everybody, to your heart, your will,
your emotions. Amen, you're giving people too much of yourself. Amen,
to guard your heart above all else. The Bible says it. Amen,

(08:40):
And I agree with the word. Sister Nil said, I
see you, good morning, God, bless you, thank you for
your blessings as well as good to see you, my system,
my friend. So if the word says guard your heart
above all else, Amen, there's a real, real, real importance
in this right right, put on the Lord Jesus Christ
in order for you to guard your heart. The Bible says,

(09:03):
when you're walking with Jesus, Amen, you're putting on his
righteous robe. You're putting on his mind, You're putting on
the mindset of Jesus. This means that it's more than
just believing in Jesus. It means clothing yourself with his character. Right.

(09:26):
Some people are looking in at gifts and talents and
forgetting about the character. Right. I'd rather have the character
of God, Amen, above my gifts and talents. That way
I could have the character of God guard my heart,
use my gifts and talents for the glory of God,
and keep it moving from there. So, when you have

(09:48):
his power. You have his mindset. You wake up every
day and you're like spiritually dressed. You have the mine
of Christ. You have the righteous robe of God. Amen,
and you're doing good. So when you put on Jesus,
you're saying, today I walk in His righteousness, none of
my ratchettness. You're walking in His righteousness. His thoughts are

(10:11):
shaping your choices. Have you ever realize that when you're
in Christ, you start thinking differently, you start choosing things differently,
you start deciding differently. His Spirit leads your steps because
we have Holy Spirit, the Righteous One, the Hope of Glory,
living within you, within you and within me, leading us
into all truth. So you're not trying to look holy, right,

(10:32):
you are her holy. You're learning to live from His
holiness perspective. Amen. I'm not trying to be holy. Trust me. Amen.
If I was trying to be holy, you know I'll
be doing too much. I have to just follow the
lead of Holy Spirit. He leads us into all truth. Amen.

(10:54):
As a matter of fact, he wants us to follow
him in spirit and in truth. He wants us to
worship Him in spirit and in truth. Feels not by
how we feel about things. It's about the faith that
we have in Him. So you can't put on Christ
and still wear the old clothes that you have on
the old garments of your old life. Lightning darkness can't

(11:16):
share the same outfit. Lighting darkness don't dress the same.
The lightning darkness doesn't have the new whatever on them.
The old self walks in the old clothing. The new
self walks in the new clothing of the Lord Jesus.
So just don't make no, don't give no access to
the old self. Amen. And I know it's not as

(11:38):
easy as I'm saying it. We all battle the flesh, everybody.
I don't care if you've been a Christian for fifty years,
you're still fighting the flesh. But the good news about
fighting the good fight of faith. We win as long
as we put our faith and hope and trust in
the one who already won, the one who wins all
the time. The one who has the ultimate victory is

(12:00):
the Lord Jesus. Amen. So victory begins the moment you
stop preparing for defeat. So when you give an inch
to the flesh, man, your flesh would take the whole
entire space. Give an inch of your life to the enemy.
The enemy would try to take more territory in your

(12:22):
life and in my life. So we just guard our hearts. Literally.
Somebody was telling a person that was in a debate.
I was watching a debate and they were like, oh,
you get to hide in Christ. You're not going to
answer the question. The person was like, I've been hiding
in Christ all through this debate because he's guarding his heart.
He's relying on the Holy Spirit, and he's hiding in

(12:43):
the Word of God. And then when we appear, Amen,
whatever oozes out of us, out of our hiding space,
out of our secret place with the Lord, what comes
out is powerful because it's the word of God. Amen,
it's not the flesh, it's not our own ideas. It's
the Word of God working through you and working through me.
If you're born again since the joint, I see you.

(13:04):
Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning
deep with my sister, my friend. So, if you want freedom,
right be free. If you want freedom, be free, because
we know if you let your heart get accessed by

(13:27):
every single thing in life, you're not going to be
in freedom. You get actually be in bondage. The reason
why I say it is because when you're free, the
things that used to get access into your life no
longer has access without your permission. You realize that we
have to give permission to the things outside of God's
will in our lives. You don't just get forced to

(13:51):
do things that are apart from God's will and purpose
for your life. We now have the power to say
no to sin. We now have the power to decide
right now, have the authority and power of Holy Spirit
of God to lead us in the righteous path. But
every time we let access to other things that are
apart from the Lord, we're giving authority to those things

(14:12):
because we're giving permission to those things. Amen. So know
who you are in Christ, and know who Christ is
in you. Amen. Sister Joan says, good morning. I have
to go to see the chrest to have a fusion.
I don't know if they're gonna take me or not
because I am not feeling too good. Amen. So we

(14:32):
pray health to your body in Jesus name. Sister Joan,
go into that hospital room knowing that God is with
you as well. So we pray for you for your health, strength,
and that you will be out of the hospital quicker
than they would think in Jesus' name, Amen, keep on
praying for Sister Joan family of God. She goes through

(14:52):
a lot, but she's also standing a lot, and she's
standing in her position in Christ. So whatever you give
access to, you give. That's what I said earlier. So
when you allow sin access, maybe through your eyes, through
your ears, maybe through your emotions, you're giving those things,
those type of sins, permissions to speak. You know what,

(15:13):
it's too noisy already out there in the world. Right,
Quiet that voice of sin, Quiet that voice of the
old self. Tell that thing to shut up. Be quiet. Right,
there's already enough noise out here. We don't have to
be arguing with our own old self. Just don't have
the conversation with your old self. Like, deny it, shut

(15:36):
it up in Jesus' name. When you deny access, you
silence its influence. When you block somebody on social media,
you're silencing the influence. When you unfollow somebody who's always
putting up ratcheous stuff or stuff that's not pleasing to God,
when you unfollow, you're silencing the influence. So now you

(16:02):
have authority more than what you think you have. Amen,
we didn't have authority. Before Christ, we were just allowing
everything to hold us down. We were giving access to
all kinds of sin, sickness, disease, everything had access to
us because we had no authority. We didn't know who
we were in Christ, we didn't have an identity. We

(16:23):
were just going with the flow, right, and my wife
is going, we're shutting down the voices that are trying
to distract us, that are trying to divide us, that's
trying to discourage us, that's trying to tempt us, that's
trying to cause us to sin and stay in the
bondage of sin. We're free, So we're free. We're free. Indeed,
we walk with different mindset. Our fire is a holy

(16:48):
white fire. It's not a strange fire. Our fire is
holy white and we move forward accordingly in love for
God and love from one another. Thank you Baby for us,
because that's what we got to do. Voices above all else.
Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
So if sin can't answer your heart, think about it.
If sin can get in it can't control whatever you

(17:12):
lie access to, you give authority to. But if you
tell the thing or whatever it is, you can't come here.
You can't get in here, then it can't control your life.
The only one that should be controlling our life is
Holy Spirit. None another person, not an alcohol, beverage, not

(17:37):
sexual sin, morality, drugs, addictions. None of that should be
controlling our lives. And I notice a lot of people
addicted to certain things that has a certain controlling their lives.
But they know Christ. So it's a fight, a man.
That's why we have to come along one another and
pray for one another. Because it's a fight, it's a battle.

(17:58):
And en it means it's just not going to walk
away and say, oh man, they're Christians now, So let
me not throw anything their way, let me not distract them,
let me not try to divide them, let me not
try to kill, steal and destroy. His job is to kill,
still and destroyer. But God's grace, mercy, power, authority is
over that. Amen. So when I'm in a battle and

(18:20):
I'm like, I'm not thinking right, I run to the Lord. Right.
People might say, oh, that's just a crutch, Well you
could do it on your own, you could get him
and do this stuff on the own. I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go to the Lord who has the strength,
the authority, the power, the will, the purpose, the plan
for my life. Amen. He has the grace, he has
the mercy. He's el Roy, the God who sees all things. Amen.

(18:44):
He's omnipresent, He's omniscient. Amen. He's adel and I Almighty's
He's Jehovah Shama, the God who is there in your situation,
the God who is here in my situation. I'm gonna
run to him. The enemy is a liar, and he
keeps on shooting darts in our direction. That's why we
don't have the armor of God. One of those fiery

(19:05):
darts is gonna hit. But if we have the armor
of God daily, Amen, it's gonna be harder and harder
and harder. We're gonna be moving targets hard to hit,
and the enemy is gonna be distracted. He's gonna be frustrated,
not us, Amen, because he's not gonna be able to
get us. Rebuke the darkness and walk in the Lord's
glorious light. Yes. Yes, And when you rebuke anything, make

(19:28):
sure you rebuke whatever you're rebuking in the name of Jesus,
because he has the authority to wipe these things clean,
wipe these things out of our way. If I come
in the name of Sam, and the name of Sam,
I rebuke you devil that that was just looking at me, like, so,
what are you telling me? It's not gonna be the
demon's gonna be looking in the name of who you know?
I know these people, but who are you? Right? But

(19:52):
when I come in the name of Jesus, they'll be like, oh, oh,
this child of God knows who he is or know
who she is, So I better get out of here.
Your shere Jesus and demons tremble just at the name.
That's why I always tell people you don't have to
force this. You don't have to do too much. Show
up and the power that God has given your show

(20:13):
up and the authority that God has given you. Amen,
guard your heart right. Quiet the voices that are trying
to distract you the old self. Don't trust the old self.
The old self just wants you to do old things.
You notice that when you fall, some people say they
fall into sin. When you fall into sin, you notice

(20:34):
that is because you're looking back at some old things
that you're left behind. And now you're going through an
old alleyway, an old community, an old neighborhood and those
old places where you used to thrive at sin, you
find yourself sitting again because you're looking back. I've never
heard of a testimony of somebody who is facing forward,

(20:56):
doing God's things and moving forward and sitting at the
same same time. When you move forward in Christ, you're
moving in victory. But when you stop and you turn
around and say, wow, I remember X y Z. Let
me go back. Once you go back and pick up
the old things, then the old self is like, yes,
now I could do something to satisfy the flesh. We're

(21:17):
not trying to satisfy the flesh. We're trying to build
the spirit. Right, We're not trying to feed the flesh.
We're trying to feed our spirit. So one thing is
always going to come over another thing, and hopefully we
could fight the good fight of faith together. We can't
do this alone. That's why prayer is powerful. That's why
a community is powerful. That's why being in a family
a God is powerful and one of DeVos are powerful.

(21:39):
A man getting into the Word of God for yourself
is powerful. Making sure you separate time in your day
every day to bring the Word of God into your situation,
into your equation and not only know the word, and
not only read the word, but apply the word to
see how the Word of God will stand up to
the test of time in your life time right, So

(22:03):
above all else Proverbs for twenty three. Guard your heart
for everything you do flows from it. I don't know,
there's a lot of there's a lot of words that
are final in here right above all else. That means
most importantly, guard your heart for everything, not just a
couple of things. The word doesn't say, you know, just

(22:23):
a couple of things flows from your heart. It says
everything you do flows from your heart. So if sin
can get in, right, sin cannot control your life. If
depression can get in, depression can't control your life. If
anxiety can't get in, anxiety can't control your life. Right.

(22:45):
This is an amazing and amazing word for us to
live by. It's the wisdom of God. Proverbs right, So
live in it. Access equals agreement because whatever you give
access to, you give authority to. So this is amazing. Amen.
Every time I read the word, I get some more downloads.

(23:06):
But I'm not here to preach. I'm here to actually
devote some time to the Word of God and we'll
joined together. So if you have any questions, comments, concerns
anytime during this morning Devo, go ahead and ask them
and put them on a live chat from whatever platform
you're listening or watching from. Because you let me preach,
Amenuse I'm getting a whole bunch of stuff right now.

(23:28):
But because of time and because of being disciplined, Amen,
I'm gonna keep reading my notes. So when you give
the flesh and itche like I said earlier, what happens
The flesh starts acting like it's controlling you. I say acting,
because we're not controlled by the flesh anymore. We're actually

(23:48):
free from the bondage of the flesh. The flesh has
its own thing going on, haven't you notice? You could
be at a church service, you could be an a
praising worship concert, or you could be just doing great,
great things for the Lord. And then the flesh continues
to try to speak, continues to try to reinvent himself

(24:11):
or herself. The flesh is always trying to do its
own thing, and the flesh is opposed at war of this,
the flesh and the spirit our war until Jesus cracks
open the sky and brings us back and Jesus didn't
come to save our flesh. He came to save our soul.
Jesus is the ultimate soul winner, not the flesh winner.
A man, this is the velvet. I see you, good morning, God,

(24:33):
bless you. It's good to see you in the morning.
Devote my system and my friend. So let's not agree
with our old self. Let's not give access to our
old self. This is a day by day's situation. If
I asked everybody on here, hey, when's the last time
you fought the flesh? Everybody on here should be like
two seconds ago, a minute, or a day ago today.

(24:55):
Like we know as believers that we don't get a
free past of just every day it's the greatest day. No,
But we know we have the Holy Spirit living inside
of us, Holy Spirit, God living in us, a man
leading us. If Holy Spirit is leading us, that means
he wants to take us to somewhere else. The flesh
wants us to go backwards. The flesh is always wanting

(25:18):
to trying to make us take two steps back, trying
to make us think about other things other than what
Christ wants us to do. Haven't you noticed that? Amen?
And this triggers my triggers. I'm not going to tell
you what they are, but I have triggers. Certain areas,
certain places, certain thoughts will trigger me to pay attention

(25:41):
more to the old person. Amen. And you know what
your triggers are too. So what we do is we
speak those things out of us, like we don't entertain
things that we know is going to lead us back
to an old situation. Old group of people are old
sinfle habit. No, what we're gonna do is, once we

(26:04):
recognize the trigger, we're to take that trigger to the
Lord and ask God for help. And man, we're not
alone in this. We don't lose all the time. Sometimes
we do lose some battles, but we go to the
one who's one hundred percent victorious. If you look at
Jesus' record a man, if he was a prize fighter,
he is a man. You see his win column, you

(26:27):
see billions of winds, and when you look at his
lost column, it's always gonna be zero. He never loses,
and there's no draws. He doesn't have a match with
the enemy or a match with any demonic force and say,
oh it was a split decision, it was a draw. No,
And Jesus wins all the time, so if he's in
you and he's in me, we win a man ultimately.

(26:50):
But in this life we're applying what we know to
be true in real time. So sometimes we lose battles
because we're not listening properly to the Lord, or we're
allowing access to things that go into our heart. And
then whatever goes into our heart that we allow there
amen as authority. So let's take authority back in the
name of Jesus, guard our hearts. Proverbs, chapter number four,

(27:13):
Verse number twenty three. But I suggest you read the
whole chapter of Proverbs chapter four together, all in context.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me. I'm
out of time. God bless you all. Got to keep
you all and remember always that God is good. Peace,

Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
