Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning family, Good morning God bless you. Welcome back
to the Morning Devo. It's your brother Sam Lopez aka
DJ Sam Rock. So Win is with a z RG
celebrity on Network Live dot so win is with a
z dot RG. That's our online church platform and podcast
platform as well, both where we have live chats and

(00:20):
we're streaming on social media platforms that allow the stream
to go through and also on Acts formerly known as Twitter,
we're there as well Twitch. If you're on Twitch, we're
there as well too. So let's go for it today
on the Morning Devo. I want to encourage you to
be different on your journey in life and my journey
in life. We're gonna know this one thing that we

(00:42):
can't be the same, just like everybody else in the world.
We are different. Right our DNA, we have the DNA
of the Holy, living, righteous loving God living within us
by way of His Holy Spirit. We have the divine
nature right of Christ living inside of us. You don't
believe that it's in the scriptures. We're partakers of His

(01:05):
divine nature. Amen. So we are different and we're branded different.
So the world, the world may mock us and they
might say we're too holy, but Heaven calls us faithful. Right.
Being set apart might cost you your comfort, might cast

(01:28):
you some friends, might quest you some some popularity, but
it leads to the eternal reward. Second Corinthians, chapter number six,
verse number nineteen. Second Corinthians, Chapter six, verse number seventeen.
Excuse me, and we're gonna be in that scripture today. Amen.
Let me make sure things are right here, and I

(01:50):
see somebody here. Amen. Good morning, God, bless your sister Joys.
I see you. Good morning, God, bless you. Welcome back
to the morning devo, my sister and my friend. Thank
you for the blessings. Thank you for coming through to
unite with us on this devotion. Second Curry Things, chapter six,
verse number seventeen. That's the scripture we're gonna start from.
We're gonna be at Amen. We're going to concentrate and

(02:11):
to vote some time to Amen. If you have any questions, comments, concerns,
prayer requests, or anything along those lines, please don't hesitate
to leave it on the life chat. It will be
an honor for me to pray for you for your
prayer requests. I love to pray. Amen. I really take
that verse seriously. That says, pray without ceasing. And I'm realizing,

(02:31):
as I'm getting more mature than the Lord, Amen, that
there's never a shortage of prayer. There's always something to
pray about. Amen. So it makes sense to me that
the a possible will say, pray without ceasing, because there's
a lot to pray for, Amen. So be different today
in the morning Devo, We're gonna pray first. After we pray,
we'll share this out for like sixty seconds, and then
on the other side of those sixty seconds we'll start

(02:53):
run into our word for today's morning Devo. So, Father,
I thank you that we are ate it in your image,
and we are different. We are born again. You are
establishing in us a new mindset, a new heart. We're
redeemed for a purpose and a plan that you have
created us for this side of eternity to be a

(03:13):
part of this time and such a time as this,
for us to make a difference and be a difference.
I thank you, Lord God for your Holy Spirit, the
Holy Spirit who leads us. Your spirit. You're guiding us,
You're leading us into all truth. Thank you, Lord God
for your hedge of protection over our families, over ourselves personally, physically, emotionally,

(03:34):
and spiritually. So I speak that over myself, the protection
of God, over my wife, over our children, over our grandchildren,
over our family members, both from the youngest to the oldest,
and every family member in between, that you will put
peace upon their hearts, that you would guide them to
your presence, that you would draw them to yourself. And
I pray the same prayer over every single person that's

(03:57):
connecting now, who will connect later, who's listening and watching
right now. I pray, Lord God, by your power, that
you would dispatch warring angels to annihilate the tactics of
the enemy. Over every single assignment that you have assigned
us to be a part of, that you have signed
us on a mission to complete. I pray protection for
those missions and those ministries and those ways that you

(04:21):
want us to live, by your love, by your grace,
by your mercy. I thank you, Lord God, that we
could come to you, speak to you, talk to you,
pray to you, amen, and that you respond. I pray,
Lord God by faith, that you will teach us today
according to your word, your inspired word and two Corinthians
six seventeen, and that we will learn and apply what
we learned today in Jesus Holy name. We pray this

(04:43):
by faith, and all those who agree with this prayer
and know the power of prayer, we say Amen to
the Amen, help me shut us out sixty seconds. When
we come back, we'll get right into it. I'll be
right back. Oh man. There's a lot of groups. Thank you.

(06:13):
The group's list is growing. Amen. Thank you for allowing
me to share. There's an option for groups groups out
there that might not notice. An option to automatically let
these morning DeVos be on your group or they do
is press. It's like an allowance. I use that in
my group as well. So thank you so much for
all the groups that helped me share this out. But

(06:35):
the Frank, I see you. Good morning. God bless you, Amen,
and God bless the blessed family. Yes, thank you so
much for your blessing, your presence, my brother, my friend
is good to see you on the morning Devo. Thank you.
God is great. Thank you Team Jesus. Amen. They're starting
to come in now and allow the stream to go
through on their groups as well. So thank you so much.

(06:56):
I'm grateful for that. I know that we can spread
this gospel message to as many many people as possible,
using our platforms, using our voice, and relying on Holy
Spirit of God, who literally draws people to the Lord.
God draws people to himself. Man. As much as we
think that we're a part of the drawing the people

(07:17):
to himself, he's the one in charge of that. He
does the convincing, he does the convicting, he does the saving. Amen.
But we are part of it, and I'm grateful that
we are part of it. I just missed one here
if somebody else came through on the group page, So
let's go for it. Let's see what the Lord has
for us today. A man is always a new day.

(07:38):
Every time I read the Word, at least I see
something new that I've never seen before. According to the scriptures,
I could read one scripture for the rest of my
life and still get something new from the Word a
man from the same scripture. That's how great God is.
That's how awesome he is. That's how creative he is.
That's how powerful he is. That's how loving he is.

(07:59):
That's how he is. That's how much grace he has
on theur lives that every single time reread his word,
he's speaking a new thing. He's always doing a new thing. Right.
There's nothing routine about the Lord Jesus. There's nothing routine
about God the Father. There's nothing routine about Holy Spirit.
There's nothing routine about his word. Amen, so read it.

(08:21):
Be prepared to be changed, and be prepared to be different. Amen,
prepared to be different. Well, let's see if I get
this right. Here. There you go, be different today in
the morning, Devo. We're going to be in the scripture
today at two Corinthians, chapter sixth, verse number seventeen. So

(08:42):
come out from among unbelievers and be separate, says the Lord,
and do not touch what is unclean, and I will
graciously receive you and welcome you with favor. You could
also cross references with Isaiah chapter fifty two, verse number eleven.

(09:03):
So come out from among unbelievers and be separate. A
lot of people say, well, this means that we can't
be with unbelievers, that we shouldn't communicate with unbelievers, we
shouldn't be friends. That's not what the scriptures saying, susceys,
So come out from among unbelievers and be separate, meaning
that we don't gather with unbelievers doing unbelievable things. That

(09:26):
unbelievers do according to the flesh. We if we're in
the area of an unbeliever, we bring the light of Christ.
We shine a light of Christ. We have the glory
of God. Amen. And we're there to be different. We're
there to make a difference. We're there to show the
gospel message, to share the gospel message, to love people. Right.
Of course, we're gonna be among unbelievers, but we need

(09:49):
to be separate according to how we live. We don't
live like unbelievers. We don't even mourn when we lose
a loved one. We don't even mourn like unbelievers because
we have a hope and we know that one day
we will see our loved ones who are saved and
born again. We will see them again. So we don't
more like the world that has no hope. So when

(10:10):
it says come out from among unbelievers, it doesn't mean
that we need to be apart and disengage. When it
says touch what is do not touch what is unclean,
that means the things that lead us to the temptation
to sin, right, don't touch it. No more. Don't be
a part of that, no more. Don't engage in those

(10:32):
things anymore. That's what the scripture is saying a man
to be different, not to be how you call it.
You know, like the Christians that everything is the world
you go to the movie or that's the world. If
you wear a certain type of clothing, all you worldly,
if you wear jewelry or not. Legalism. No, we're talking

(10:52):
about holiness, righteousness. We're talking about the blessing of being
set apart. There's a blessing and being set apart right
in the Book of Psalms that says, blesses the man
who does not gather with the ungodly. I'm product they
sum one, blesses the man who doesn't join with the wicked.

(11:12):
Why because we are set apart for the use for God,
for his kingdom, for his purpose, for his plan. Amen.
It doesn't mean that we're not going to be around unbelievers.
I don't know what country you will have to go
to that it will be all believers in the country.
I don't know. I don't even think that exists. It's
not going to be a or the theocracy. It's not

(11:34):
going to be like a country full of just believers
and we're all, you know, having fun and games. There's
always going to be people who don't believe, and we're
sent to those people to reach them with the gospel message.
Just let your light shine, don't force nothing on nobody.
Live for Christ. It will show in your life. But
the Raymond God bless you. Good morning, my brother and

(11:57):
my friend. It's good to see you in the morning. Devo.
So let me get to my notes before I get
off track. So protect who you are in Christ, right,
protect yourself when you're living set apart. It means that
you're guarding your heart and maintaining your witness. Because if

(12:17):
you notice that if you gather around with certain individuals,
certain groups, certain activities, you might fall into that instead
of being an influence, you might be influenced by certain
groups and certain activities that are out there. So you
protect the brand of Christ in your own life. To
your daily choice choices. Right, your daily choices, what you

(12:41):
entertain will become what you want. Right, whatever you ponder
or think about the most, you're gonna be wanting to
do those things, whether good or bad. Amen. So let's
do ponder about good things so we could often do
good things. And if you ponder about bad things, be careful. Amen.
But the call of So I see you man, It's
good to see you in the morning. Devo. God bless

(13:02):
you as well, my brother, my friend, so protective brand
and of Christ in your life through these daily choices.
What you entertained who you follow very important. Amen. I
went through my social media years ago and unfollowed a
whole lot of people that I was just because at

(13:23):
one point, if you will be a friend with somebody,
it will automatically follow that person. So became like I
had like a thousand people that I was following that
I really didn't know number one and number two. Following
them wasn't doing me any good, right, So I had
to take hours upon hours to unfollow a whole lot
of people, not to unfriend them, it's a difference, but

(13:44):
unfollow them because their feeds and their x y Z
wasn't lining up anything good with me in my life
at least, Amen. And plus images and postings that they
will put up that were ungullly right, that were causing
me to be tempted and do all that stuff. So
I had to unfollow. Maybe that's what you need to do.

(14:06):
It takes time, depending on how many friends you have, Amen.
I don't know if that's still a reality that when
you friend someone on social media that you automatically follow them.
I don't know if that's still the same situation. How
you respond I cannot. I cannot be responsible for how
you respond towards me. But I'm responsible of how I

(14:27):
respond towards you, if that makes any sense. So if
I present the gospel somebody, I'm just putting out there. Amen.
I'm a fisherman of men, aficier of men. So if
they don't receive the gospel, I'm not responsible for their response.
I'm only responsible for how I respond, Amen. And what

(14:48):
you believe. Don't back off. Don't back off of what
you believe in God. Amen. Don't be ashamed. People think,
oh I can't say this or I can't preach this
because I never experienced XYZ. Listen, stop it. So it's
not about If it was about us, we won't be
saying anything. I know if it was about me. I

(15:08):
want to preach any part of the gospel. I have
my struggles too, And people say I'm not going to
preach what I haven't experienced, Then you're just being selfish
because I've never been on the cross. What about you?
Have you ever been crucified, and yet we're preaching a
crucified Lord Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified, died
and rose again. Have we ever been resurrected? Yes, you
have been resurrected if you're born again in the spiritual realm. Amen.

(15:31):
Sometimes even in the physical there's noted documented resurrections. Yes,
but don't go around saying, oh, I can't preach that
or I can't speak about that because I never experienced it.
We have Holy Spirit living inside of us that will
allow us to speak the oracles, the mysteries, and to
proclaim the Gospel. Amen. He will allow us. We're free

(15:52):
to preach the gospel whether we experience XYZ or not.
I can't be that selfish and be like, I'm not
going to tell this person about this because I'm struggling
in this part of my life. That's selfishness. It's not
the Gospel of sam It's the Gospel of the Lord
Jesus Christ. Amen. So the reward of being different, this
is a reward when you're different. For being different, you

(16:14):
are rewarded. So even though, like I said earlier, the
world is gonna mock you. They're gonna say Oh, you
think you're holier than now, you think you're better than us.
They're gonna mock our Lord. They're gonna mock our belief.
They're gonna mock our churches. They're gonna mock our communities.
They're gonna mock the way we talk, the way we speak,
the way we respond, the way we think. Okay, we

(16:34):
already know that that's part of the deal. But being
set apart, even though it's gonna cost you your comfort,
it's gonna cost you some friends, it's gonna actually lead
you to an eternal reward. How about that, an eternal
We're not a temporary reward, even though we'll be rewarded
in this side of eternity as well. But we have

(16:55):
a reward for eternity. Amen. So when God I said,
come out from among you, when the apostle, poor inspired
by Holy Spirit says, come out from among them and
be separate, the Lord spoke that through the apostle touch
no unclean thing. And then God said I will receive you. Amen.
So get out the dodge, you know, get over those hurdles,

(17:17):
run from sexual morality and all that stuff, and then
present yourself to the Lord. And he said he will
receive us. So when you live set apart, the bonus
part about that is you live with clarity. You don't
have that brain fog anymore. You're not shackled to sin anymore.
You're not in the prison of your own desires anymore. Right,

(17:39):
you walk in clarity. And not only that, you walk
in clarity. Now you have the ability to speak with authority. Amen.
What you say according to the scripture will happen. Now,
if you say things outside of the scripture, you're on
your own. I'm on my own when I quote things
that are not from the Bible. Amen. If I want

(18:00):
certain things and i'm speaking it, I'm trying to manifest
it by the manifestation movement. Like that, it's very possible
that nothing's going to happen. But when you speak the
word of God, Amen, and God's word is lining up
with what you need to do in your life, Amen,
is going to come to pass. Remember, there was a
promise of God before the Law. When Abraham received the promise,

(18:23):
he received that promise before the Law of God was written. Amen.
So believe that the promise came before the law, and
you experience peace. I'm talking about true peace, not the
way the world has that peace, which is a counterfeit peace.
We have true peace, meaning that Jesus saved you saved me.

(18:46):
Now we have the peace of God by because we
have the peace of God, because we have peace with God.
In other words, Jesus said, I'm the Way, the Truth,
and the Life. Shalom's because now he creates a way
to create peace with man and God. So when you
mourn again, you have the peace of God because you

(19:09):
have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Being
different a man, although it costs you, I'm not gonna
say it's like, oh, just be different. It's easy. Everybody's
gonna love you. Know when you're different, when you're following Christ,
when you're following Holy Spirit, move right and he leads
you a man. Sometimes he'll take you from place to

(19:30):
place and people say, oh, this person is hopping over
church hopping and doing this. No, you're following the lead
of Holy Spirit. He might have you an assignment for
a time in one area and one community and one
church and one ministry, and then he says, okay, you
completed that. Now go to another place where I see you.
See that all through the scriptures with the apostles and disciples.

(19:52):
They were keeping it moving a man. So don't let
nobody say, oh, you know, you're church hoping, you're not law,
you're not this, and you're not that. Unless you have
a track record of being unfaithful, not loyal to where
you're at, and it's just seeking for happiness not truth,
then they might have a point. But when you're following

(20:12):
the lead of Holy Spirit, get ready to go, Amen,
get ready to leave, get ready to move. He wants
you where he needs you. Or actually, I'm let me
humble myself. He doesn't really need me. But if we
follow his prompting, follow his lead, Amen, or we're going
to be in places that we could be used by
God to do mighty works for God. Amen. So in

(20:37):
your prayer life you might need to pray this a
lot until you are settled with the fact that you're different.
Me and you are different. If we have the same
Father in Heaven, we're brothers and sisters in Christ, Amen,
and we have the leading of Holy Spirit, you have
to come to realization that we're called to be different,

(20:58):
We're called to be set apart for the use of
the kingdom. So you might have to pray something like this, Lord,
help me to live apart for you, not a part
for a church, not a part for a religion, not
a part for sam not a part for ministry, but
a part set apart for God. We need help in
that area because having you notice, we're surrounded by the

(21:20):
world system, banners, billboards, social media, movies, music, entertainment. Even
the restaurants have their own vibe that's trying to lead
you into how they brand themselves. Amen. Even believers who
say the believers are doing xyz during the weekend and
then showing up to Sunday services as if nothing ever happened, right,

(21:45):
partying and drinking over the weekend Sunday comes, they're back
to being holy. Don't be a common Christian, Be a
holy Christian. Don't be a part of everything that everybody
else is doing. Be ye set apart. Amen. Don't touch
those unclean things. That's going to cause temptation in your
heart and your life. And now you have to battle
not only the thoughts in your in your head, the

(22:05):
world system, the devil, the lust of the flessed pride
of life. You have all those things now to battle.
And now you're touching things that we shouldn't be touching.
You're watching things that we shouldn't be watching. You're listening
to things that we shouldn't be listening to. Right, we
need to guard our brand of Christianity by being set apart,
relying on Holy Spirit and going to God and being

(22:25):
ye separate. You go to get peace for doing that.
It seems like a lot, but actually Holy Spirit does
all the heavy lifting. Right. You already know that you're
holy because God is holy. Holy Spirit lives inside of you.
So if you really rely on Holy Spirit and let
him lead, you're gonna get less and less temptation. Right,

(22:47):
you get to sin less and less you're not gonna
be sinless. Or maybe if that's your goal, go to
the Lord and ask them that you want to be
sinless and see what happens. I don't know. I'm not
I can't limit God's power in my life in your life.
So maybe you go and pray and ask God to
help you sin less or to be sinless if you

(23:08):
want to be extreme. There's people that probably live this
righteous life of holiness, but they might be so set
apart from the world that although they're living a righteous,
holy life, they're not showing that type of power, and
maybe we need to see more of those people in
the marketplace, in our churches, as leaders, as followers, as however,

(23:30):
wherever God has you, If you are in a high
righteous living a man, praise the Lord. But come out
from your boundaries and come out into the world and
help some brothers and sisters out. Amen. And let's come
together in your knight and figure out or inspire and
encourage each other to live that way as well. Amen.

(23:51):
So help me Lord to live set apart for you.
Let my heart reflect what your heart reflects, and let
my life love like you love me. So display your love.
Remove anything in me that looks like the world. And

(24:12):
that's be careful with that. I'm not saying, see this shirt,
this shirt is not I don't think it is a
Christian designer. So if it's not a Christian designer, am
I living like the world because I'm wearing with the
world produced. No, Just be careful with that because a
lot of people get into legalism when they saying you
can't wear x y Z or you can't you know,

(24:32):
go to certain movies because of XYZ. Be careful with legalism.
Let's walk in love and let's walk in unity, and
let's walk inspire by Holy Spirit. But the John, I
see you. What a beautiful day. Good morning, my brother
and friend and all. Thank you so much for showing up.
My brother and my friend. It's good to see you
in the morning, Devo, Brother John. So remove anything in me,

(24:55):
so in me, not what clothes me, not the external things,
but the inside of me that looks like the world.
And strengthen what looks like You, Lord, these are This
is like an idea that you can pray. I'm giving
you an idea of how we can pray to be
separate and to be different. Brand me with purity, Please, somebody,

(25:19):
I don't know if it's gonna be me. I need
to hear some preachings about purity. I have two young daughters.
I need to hear some purity messages. Anybody know of
a young woman of God that teaches other women or
teaches the younger generation about purity. I wanted to come
from a woman of God, Amen, that teaches purity. If

(25:40):
you know a minister of the gospel, a woman of
God that teaches purity, Amen, seving a link because I
want I need that help in that field. My wife
is doing her best. I'm doing my best to cover
our children, our two girls, but they need to hear
a message outside of their parents. Amen. Believe it or not.
Right about purity? Amen, through the Word of God. So

(26:04):
brand me with your purity, your power and your presence. Purity,
power and presence. Do you know what kind of life
you'll be living if every day you realize that you
have the power, the purity, and the presence of the
Lord in your life. Amen. I'm out of time, but
this is good stuff, right, Second Corinthings, chapter six, verse

(26:26):
number seventeen. That's where we camped out. I suggest you
read the whole chapter. Second Crintents, Chapter six, the whole
chapter for yourself if you have time. I'm out of time. Well,
thank you so much for hanging out with me for
this morning, Devo. Let me send you off with a blessing. God.
Bless you all, God keep you all, and remember always
that God is good. Peace.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
