It has a great website. Youcan already check it out Bellvex dot
(00:24):
com. It has released this newsingle and a fantastic music video called Nobody
coma but Me, Nobody but Me. We are very very happy to have
him over the phone, the wonderfulartist Bell Vex. How are you today,
Hey, I'm doing great. Howare you? I'm doing amazing.
(00:45):
Thank you so much for being withus today. I appreciate that. So
the first question is where are youfrom and how did you start music?
Well, I'm from the United States, Massachusetts, the Boston area, but
I've located to more of the NewYork area and I've been here for about
ten years. My journey into musicwas more of an it was a lifesaver
(01:08):
type of thing where, you know, some bad stuff happened to me.
The universe does what it wants todo, and it was either sink or
swim. I chose to swim, and I chose music as my outlet to
do. So. I was throwninto music as a child, so I
had a lot of it as abackground. But when the chips were down
(01:29):
and it really came into it,that's when I started making songs to kind
of help give myself purpose in lifeand direct me into a positive way.
And indeed, you made it verypositive in everything you did, because what
a beautiful music and what a beautifulArtistory Quarditya. I really loved the music
(01:51):
video you did with Nobody but Meis very well produced, very well,
stage, very well it dided.I love the colors and everything, but
the music that it all definitely sotell us now fast forwarding. First of
all, where the name Belvex isfrom? And what does it mean?
So Belvex actually means beautiful, curse, I have this my favorite number three,
(02:17):
my favorite letter B. A lotof it just kind of came down
to when I was choosing a namefor my artistry, I kind of took
the feelings that I was going throughand I coupled that along with my life
circumstances. Originally it was going tobe like the letter l vex, but
like I said, favorite number threeand letter B, I couldn't pass up
(02:38):
the opportunity to use that, SoI did belvex and it kind of snapped
together, knowing that it meant beautifulcurse and it was just insane how no
one had used this already. Sowhen when the stars aligned, you take
it. So I took it.Indeed, indeed, indeed, And that's
(03:00):
what you did. And we're soglad. How you know, the universe,
God, you know, brought youto do whatever you do today,
which is absolutely wonderful. We haveBelvec's over the phone with his new track
Nobody but Me. So now firstforwarding to this great new track and nobody
(03:23):
but Me, tell us, whatdid you want to do with that song?
And what is the story of thatsong? Who worked on it?
Mostly me? So the story behindthis song is quite interesting and different from
what I've been doing since I wouldsay twenty seventeen twenty eighteen, I had
(03:45):
been writing more of these really intimate, honest, opening up kind of songs
to show more of the world mylife, and what that ended up doing
was having this weird side effect amongstthe people I knew and people in the
end where they were looking at mein this way where as if I could
be taken advantage of, whereas Iwas just a mark, or I wasn't
(04:09):
someone to be taken serious because ohthat's the guy. He only makes songs
about women in love. And nobodybut me came from a place of frustration.
And it was like, with allof the industry contacts that I have,
all of the producers that I know, all of the artists that I
went to school with, that I'veworked with, that I've collaborated with,
(04:31):
they seem to have forgotten who Iwas. And this song is sort of
a way to remind them that, hey, I'm quiet right now. Things
are okay right now, I'm reminiscent. But you cannot come to me and
then take my money, take mythings, take my ideas, take my
songs, and expect me to stayquiet forever. One night, I was
(04:58):
just in this place alone, Iwas in my own little headspace, and
I was writing songs. I hadjust written eleven songs that ranged from really
different emotions, from happy to sadto happy, and then I was just
sort of angry. And that's wherenobody but me came from. I had
to vent it out and it wasvery natural. It was magical. That's
(05:20):
the story behind that one. Wow. We love that. We really really
love that. And again, youguys are going to be able to listen
to this great new track Nobody butMe by the artist Bail Vex. So
before we start to say goodbye toeach other, we start to hear your
(05:40):
beautiful track Nobody but Me. Whatis next for you? What are your
next projects? I have been teasingthis one song called Mania for a couple
of months now, and the beautiful, beautiful thing about the music is that
it's mutable. Things can change, and over time, I have kind of
(06:00):
sat on this idea that I wantedto do more with it than just release
you know, your regular song andmusic video. I kind of want to
do a short film coupled with thissong and another one. That's where I'm
headed. I don't want to makeany promises, because like I said,
things could change, but I wouldlook out specifically for that in the near
future, and we'll be there tosupport you all the way. I want
(06:24):
to give a big shout out toMichael Lave for introducing me to your music.
We say hello to all the teamof a storm. So thank you
MICHAELA for introducing me to this amazingartist, belle Vex. Nobody but me.
We are not playing it on iHeartRadio. Stay tuned with us more music
(06:49):
