Speaker 4 (01:00):
Well, I just chill, kids, shot a little basketball with him,
hung out with him.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
That's in yours.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
It was good man ship. I can't remember what I did, right,
didn't too much. Well, they just regular Saturday stuff and
getting ready for Monday.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
That kid and.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Rolled in the spring ball in there, so okay, that's
what's up, picking him up all week? Yeah man, how's
your son?

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Is he getting he ready? Getting ready?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah, he's getting ready, lifting, running, you know, practice, snapping,
He's getting at We got to take him down to
Watford and let him pick out his housing next with us.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Month and he's just getting geared up for graduation.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Now you getting old, man, man, I know, man, I've
got to dot my beard man right, beard out of pocket?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
He me too?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, man, Well.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
We're coming off a big week man. First off, how
do you feel about the Bears draft over?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I feel I feel.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
I feel great.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
I feel way better than I did initially once I
once I completed some more research, did some more digging,
I feel great about it.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, I said, when y'all drafted coach in Lovelin instead
the Tyler Warren, if you reminded me of.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Last year because I did so much.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Dogging and trash talking about damn linebacker. The linebacker I thought,
the line from in c State. Man forget his name,
of course, and we end up drafting so but he
made me eat my words. Okay, So hopefully loved that

(03:12):
does the.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Same for you, right, yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Man?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So what was as far as the bads go? What
was your favorite pick and your least favorite pick.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
I'm gonna go with least favorite right now, and it's
just I be honest, which I don't have one. Initially,
during the draft, it was definitely I love him.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
It was definitely him because of course the way.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
The board fell, I said, Tyler Warren is there, the edge,
Williams is there, Nolan is there.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
I really didn't.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
I really didn't want to jump out there on Amar
and Hampton that high.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
But I mean, I mean he probably would have been
a solid pick there, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
But it's it's but after I did research, I was
Initially I just went, you know me, I texted you,
I went to bed, like I ain't even finished the draft.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I was so upset because I just saw all the
like like the conversation we had before.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
The high point and that that Tyler Warren was doing
and just making catch and traffic and things like that.
So I was like, yo, he's really, you know, a
contested catch guy, like he fights for the ball.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
So that was my that was my reading on him.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
But after going doing doing more research on Loveland and
digging and whatever, his his MO was there's never anyone
around him too high point and take the ball away
from him because he's routing him up. But like I said,
hips and fluid, you know whatever. But there was like
one guy not staying with you know, coverage in and out.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
He's getting out of it. So, you know, after that,
it grew on me.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
And then I was listening to the grave that said
he was the highest rated tight end in the last
twenty years to second to only Rock.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Bowels and you know, so it's a good company.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
That's great exactly. They was like Rock Bauers.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Rating was like a ninety seven ninety eight and his
is you know.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
A point below. So I was I was like, oh, okay,
all right, well now we're talking. But my favorite pick
is Luther Burton's third.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yeah, you know, and like you and I really had
him projected in the first round. I mean, he's that
talented and for us to get him in the second,
I absolutely love it.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah, that's great value, man, especially you know, they wanted
to come in and be the number one guy and uh,
you know, playing the slot and they find ways to
get him in space.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
So great pick man. Yeah. Well, I'm glad you got
over your loved and hate you. You't have to burn
another bad jersey.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Right right?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
And uh yeah man, you gotta be running out.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah yeah, Hey.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I was yelling and hollering and caking and stumping, and
and my baby boy, Ericson came out and.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Said, Dad, you didn't like that pick. It was like,
I hate that pick. So I guess like you didn't
like that, you didn't want that guy? All right, get
that guy. But you know it's growing on me definitely.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Of course, I hate we didn't get one of those
early backs, but I looked at the kids that we drafted,
and you know, I'm liking him.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
However, the draft fell for us, funny.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
You know, we tried to move up to get to
get Henderson in the second round, but we didn't couldn't
get anybody to play ball with us.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
So you know, we got Luther Burton the third. That's
a great you know, consolation to me if it's the constellation,
you know, So and.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
And I guess we didn't want to because we immediately
traded back because Jenkins and him went, you know, simultaneously,
almost back to back to each other. So at that point, boom,
we got out of there, traded back acquite another pick.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Then we took an old lineman and Jamar Turner.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, so I'm me too. I'm totally giddy, you know,
on the picks. You know, it's a few vets out there.
I think we'll be fine that back. I just hear
people bashing us, and I don't you know, I don't
get it because these are so call experts and they

(08:02):
get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this
and and and you and I.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Do it for love. However, we know that if the board.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Falls differently or don't fall the way you expected to fall,
you've got the draft us on the board.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
But how it goes, because if you don't, then they
bash you for not for drafting for need in that value.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
So yeah, that's why we watched the draft because you
don't know what's gonna happen. You don't know what's gonna happen, right,
So yeah, man, it still is draft, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah. I loved it. Man, It's.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
It's getting back to physicality, you know, taking home in
the first round, a big back in the third, DK Metcalf,
the sister that our second round pick. So again, I'm
gonna find a better receiver in round two than D

(09:07):
but Caleb Johnson and the third was amazing value. He's
my favorite back in the draft. Maybe I ain't saying
he's the best in you, but probably my favorite. You know,

(09:27):
he'll give love Najia has. But in today's NFL you
gotta be able to generate explosive plays and get some chunks,
so he'll give us that. So he's probably my favorite
pick my least favorite, not that I didn't like the pick,

(09:56):
but Jack Sawyer in the fourth.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Jack I was hoping we got Jack.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
I like, yeah, I like Jack, but how much is
he gonna play? Buying T J White, Nick hrbik Alac
high Smith. I mean, perhaps he'll be able to, you know,
take some snaps away him, keep them healthy. But to

(10:23):
have alec alman Or available, the big receiver from Stanford,
he was on the board. You know, depending on what
happens with George Pickens, you may need him soon.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
I got like that.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
So although I like Sawyer, it may be a thing
we don't see him play extensively for two years because
of course what hot Smith, herbig. They're all in the
stillest plans for the least the next two three years.

(11:08):
Sope was in that case. So really reminds me of
Mike Vrabel when drafted vverybel when we had other guys
ahead of him, and by the time he was good,
we had to let him go to the Patriots and

(11:28):
he became a three times Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
But yeah, I like so of he as a player.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
You know.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Also, Marcus Embo was on the board on the big
guard from Purdue, so he's a guy that could have
stepped there next year when Isaac suam Malo is a
free agent. So this guys I thought would fit better.
But again, you draft for best player available be available,

(12:03):
so you know, and Jack Sawyer was by all accounts
a second round grade.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I love him, man, I was hoping he lasted to us.
You know, he would have. I wanted him, Yeah, I wanted.
I wanted sow you.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
So to get him in the fourth was really good.
And of course, you know, to get Will Howard in
the sixth, I like Will Howard if we like Yeah,
I think the Stillers felt the same way after and

(12:40):
we're getting into this later, of course, but after cam Ward,
I don't think there was a sure shot guy at
quarterback mm hmmm, considering what we are starting to know
about your door and how his interviews and meetings may
have gone. And so I think the Stillers went into

(13:05):
this draft thinking we're not gonna get.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Our franchise guy in this draft.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
At all, So why not build around the build the
team around the guy we get next year. So to
take a guy like Howard in the sixth round, who's
you know, I had a third fourth round projection.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
It's great value.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
And you know, if he turns out to be your
backup for ten years ship six round, that's a good pick.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yeah, I think it.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, So overall the entire draft, was your favorite pick
in the end by any.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Team new team other other than like I said, Burt
in the third I really like I really liked Green.
When the Ravens took I think Green and what did

(14:13):
they get him in the third or the back end
of the second back in because he had a chance
to get him. I was crushed about that. But I
think that was a great pick by by by them,
And believe it or not, I'm just thinking I think

(14:36):
that was really aggressive by by you know, the Jaguars,
But that was really aggressive.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
I don't think Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I get Cleveland building for the future. Yeah, but it's
hard to let that got go. Yeah, you know, it's
really hard to let that got go. My favorite pick.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I'm definitely probably gonna say.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
I'm gonna go I'm gonna go with the Green you
know what, the first round pick I'm going to stick with.
I like the Panthers going with the with the kids
from from from Zona, even though McMillan. McMillan, even though

(15:22):
I like him, to be honest with you, I had
Luther Burden. I had him the secredated receiver man to me,
to to Travis Hunter. Yeah, you know, but you know what,
forget about it. The Bears picked Luther bur Right. My

(15:44):
favorite draft pick man.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
No doubt. Yeah, my favorite man outside of our draft.
I like Mario and Hampton to the Chargers, I like
it too. I know they just signed, but again, he
gives you something.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Now you don't give you.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
You got too, two hundred and thirty pound backs on
the gym harball coach team.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Like what morechy you ask for?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yeah? Lean on you. We're definitely lean on you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
And I know Nazi's probably pissed off. You know, he's
on one year deal pretty much. And at first we
thought it was one year's five point four meal, but
now we know that his deal.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Is one meal.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Was four million dollars worth of than senators, oh wow,
mostly based on rushing yards. So if he got split
time with Hampton. He ain't hitting him in centers not No,
he's pissed off, but he's not.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Going to him.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
I like to pick for that team.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
He's not gonna hit him because they're gonna get Hampton's touches.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
And then he's gonna be in. Hampton's gonna be on
third down a lot too, because he's he.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Got really good hands, right man, he's their guy, He's
the guy.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Right So yeah, who is your least favorite pick?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Mm hmmm, least favorite pick? Really get the pick, but.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
There's two picks, I really And I know it was
the best player on the board with New York and Carter,
and I know you want to have really really good
pass rushers, and but right now, at this point, I
think they putting I don't know, eighty million dollars in
pass rushers or you know, they're putting a lot in
pass rush.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
You know it wudn't even include Dex Lawrence. Yeah, and
you got the best interior d lineman in the.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
League, in the league.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Yeah, So I just thought they could have did more
to I mean, I know the line is okay offensive line,
but I know they need help. Gosh knows they needed more.
You know they need more weapons. You know, they need
more weapons. So I mean teams would have given their

(18:35):
right loans to to get up there through the draft card,
so I know they got calls, you know, so.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
So I just thought they could have did more to
I mean, they.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
Could have probably traded back to five or whatever and
took Genti or I mean something just and got another
first round pick for next year and all this crap.
But I just thought they could have. I like him
Light Party, don't get me wrong, but I just think
they could have. I think they could have did more
to help their team. The same way with the New

(19:08):
York the New York Jets. You know, I thought they
could have got another offensive weapon too, you know out
there receiver or Tyler Warren or post Coaston Love, you know,
either one to get another weapon out there, because right now,

(19:28):
you know, they're looking at Garrett and you know, in
a bunch of guys.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah, you know, so I think.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
A, yeah, they got they got two really good backs,
they really.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Do, you know. And I heard that we could be
in talks with him about with the kid named Breese.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, I heard something about Breese and then something about
ken Walker the third But who knows, you know, that's
that's all talk.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
You know. But I just think those two teams, Yeah,
they really drafted.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Really really good players on line and and d line,
but I just thought they could have done more to
help their team.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, my least I had two least favorite picks, and
they were back to back.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
The Giants trade him up to get Jackson Dark.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
I just.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
If they were there at twenty or they twenty five.
Mm hmm, okay, and that's your guy. But to trade
back into the first and spend that capital to get
Jackson Dark, come on, man, yeah, man, I don't like

(20:56):
Daniel Jones. The dirt ain't even hard on his grave
yet he's daff him again again again. Right, So I
didn't like to pick. Yeah, and even more so not

(21:18):
that the Falcons traded up to get James Pierce, but
the fact that they gave up next year's first rounder
to do it.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Oh wow. Right, So you.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Trade back into the first, Okay, you get James Fierst.
I like him. It's a lot to give up for him.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's a lot to give up.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah, you know, I only give that up for probably
I probably, I probably would give that up for Carter.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
But other than that, Like.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Yeah, if I'm trading way up into.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
The first yeah, but I'm not. No, I'm not doing that, bro, Like.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
I mean, Pierce, if he's there, Mike Green's gonna be there.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Mike Green's gonna be there.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Yeah. And I know Green's got some legal stuff going.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
On or did, but but that's a lot to give
up for Pierce.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Man.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
So those are my two least favorites in the first round,
and they stood out. Yeah, I mean hopefully pierces and
they just paid. There's Lorenzo o' carter to return in

(22:48):
free agency. I think ten the year. Okay, So I mean, hey,
I know you can never have enough path.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah, but.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
You know, to get you know, him to get pierced
at twenty six, especially after you took Jayden Walker earlier
in the first you got you ain't got enough balls
to go around and rush the passes.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
M hmm. So wait a minute, Wait a minute, I
missed that, you know, I went to bed.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Yeah, so what they got Jayden Walker at fifteen He
traded back into the first to get pierced.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
So they wanted to get their book ends to be done.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
I guess I don't know, but m I guess it
was like, hey, we got our quarterback.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Let's go man, let's go rush the passes right right, So.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
It's a few in the like Josh Connery Washington at
twenty nine. It was a big confusion. They just traded
for Lami tomsl right, So it was kind of confusing
unless they're gonna move in the guard. But that's solid

(24:16):
on the they're solid.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
So you think they should have went the best player available.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Yeah, I mean you got Max Harriston still there.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
They need corners, corners, yeah, you know, the safety yeah,
the pass rushers.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
So it's just a big confusing but maybe it is,
like I don't know, yeah, yeah, So.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
We touched on this.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
So of course, the story of the draft was Shade
Sanders projected. At one point it's done number one overall pick.
Then you start to see a slide and the recent weeks,
so people say, hey, there's no way he's getting past Pittsburgh,

(25:12):
And twenty one two days later he's still there in
the fifth round. I'm sure everybody knows the story by now,
but what are their thoughts on the schador and his slide?

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Man, be honest with you, I don't like it.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
But I know it's a lot of theories going out there,
you know, conspiracy theories.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
And I know, yeah, people, you have a right to.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
Your own draft board. You know, you have a right
to evaluate your own talent. You know, you're it's your franchise.
But to be honest with you, I didn't see this.
I didn't see this coming me and myself. I still
rated him the I still rated him the number one

(26:13):
quarterback in the draft Allah male Kiper And you know,
both of us got just as much credentious as.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Who man when you're next little neighbor, who is.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
What male man?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
But you know, both of us actually do her number,
you know, as the best quarterback. But him falling out
of there, to me, I just thought that it definitely
seems sticky. You know, it seems sticky because I've seen
I've seen quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
That that that that that didn't.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Have the resume he had, you know, and and quote
unquote as good as arm as he had, or he
has just as good as of arm as.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Them, you know, the to go four or five six
over second overall and and trade away next year's peak.
For like I've seen that and and and and.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Those teams and I didn't see those players play and
pressure and all this notoriety that that that clamors around
door and stand in the pocket again, hitting in the
hitt in the mouth, you know, game after game. I
just thought that that it was something that the teams
didn't want to touch, and maybe they didn't want their
quarterback doing things on social media, and they didn't want

(27:34):
the circus and and but I just thought that if
you're judging his talent to say, these other guys, I
just don't see, you know, if they're saying Cam, they're
projecting Cam for this, okay, but to see you know,

(27:55):
those other six five or six guys go before him,
it was just real sticky for me. You know, Like
I said, I thought he was the I thought he
was the best quarterback in the draft. As then ready
to play re react, Yay, he holds onto the ball?
I mean who went to hold onto the ball with
you know, guys draped all over and the line collapsing

(28:17):
on you just trying to get away from the rush.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
And yeah, but you know that I just got my
opinion on it, you know, I thought it sucked.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Yeah, so of course Cam win number one. Right then
we saw Jackson Duck come off the board and I
was like, Okay, maybe that's just your.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Preference, maybe your preference. Maybe that's your preference.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Then we saw Tyler Shuck come off the board. I
was like, okay, I like shock, but maybe that's your preference.
You know, he's got all the tools. Then we saw
Jaylen Mirroe.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
I get that that, yeah, I mean just upside yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
But then we saw Diddlan's freaking Gabriel come on the
board in the third round, and it made me really
think something is enough?

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Areas is going on?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
M hm.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Now, granted there's a lot that comes with you do. Yeah,
And at this point we don't know.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
What's fabrication.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
And what's real, right, but we do know some of
his interviews and meetings didn't go so well, right the details,
who knows. But for Cleveland to come back and take
him after the draft Gabriel, so what? And and now

(29:58):
people saying that I want to have to step in
and say, hey draftsure door.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Mm hmm, like I don't hear that story, yeah, which
is why they said.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
The response in the war room.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Was I noticed that that was terrible.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Yeah, the GM man, Yeah, but it's no way that
Gabriel over your door mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
And so and to have my team as a no
Stellers need a quarterback mhm, I get it. Round one, yes,
pretty much, it's pretty common knowledge in Pittsburgh that they
didn't like this draft class mm hmm that quarterback mm hmm.

(30:59):
So and that they liked Derek Carmen. But round two
you didn't have a second round pick. Round three, Katie
Johnson's there.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Yeah, yeah, I get it. Yeah, yeah, I get it.
I get it. I get it.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
So round four I was like, okay, I wouldn't get
my hopes up for su door because I saw a reason.
That's the team my father. So I get that they
weren't high on the quarterback class. But fourth round we
took Jack Sawyer.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I couldn't believe that I was coming off the board.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Right at that point.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
I was like, Okay, here it is, and again I
like Sawyer, but not even to take a chance.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
When you're waiting on Aaron Rodgers as your hope for here.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
It was so.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
But one thing I did know, I do know is
when Mike Tumblin talks openly about a prospect before the draft,
they're not not gonna take him, he talks at will
about your door. They brought him in for a visit.

(32:23):
And this is after we started hearing stuff about him sliding.
They brought him in for a visit. Mike Tumblin spoke
openly at length about your door. At that point, I said,
they ain't taking mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Until the fourth round.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
I was like, okay, at some point you could take
a chance. What bothers to me? Most I've seen a
guy grab his nuts on the sideline in college, planting

(33:04):
his team flag in the opposing teams feel, get arrested,
run from the cops at five to ten he's badly
six feet maybe, and get taken number one overall. Baker Mayfield, Oh,

(33:30):
I already know what you're talking about. I seen the
guy win the Heisman and get openly drunk, probably five
nights a week. M at five ten, tumped every team

(33:55):
he played against openly. He was drafted in the first round.
About those same Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Both of them Browns.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
So you mean to tell me that.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Chador or his father that much of a problem. Where
the Cleveland Browns, who've had forty freaking quarterbacks since in
n eighteen ninety nine. I ain't willing to take a
chance on she door until the fifth round. Nobody's willing.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
And that's just Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
They ain't all the other ball like B actually seen
from quarterbacks on other teams that drastic. So something was
going on. I don't know if I ain't gonna go
as far as to say it was all the teams
working to together and said it's collusion.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
But they talk, those.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Gms and coaches talk, and we all know that the
playing field is not equal.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Right.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
So I remember.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
A reporter asked Malcolm I think it was Malcolm, I
can't remember who it was, but he asked him, who
why are black people are so dominating sports when it
comes to sports, And he was expecting him to say, oh,

(35:46):
it's you know, the genetics and we just you know,
were bred differently, and but the response was, you play basketball.
The goal is all always ten feet, the court is
always ninety feet long, there's always five players on each steam.

(36:13):
Don't matter where you go, it's gonna be the same
rules apply the same way to everybody. When you give
us equal opportunity, were gonna dumb it it.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Same thing here. I just don't whether you you can
say it's racist or it's not you could say.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Something was going on nefarious or wasn't.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
What we do know is.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Certain people have a problem with Dion Sanders, how he
carries himself, how he wins, and they can't touch him.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
So where they gonna go after.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Now?

Speaker 3 (37:17):
And that's not saying she do it.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
I don't have his own flaws right, because there's no
player ever direstic that's perfect correct. But he ain't been
in no legal trouble. His film speaks for himself. There's

(37:42):
nobody in that Colorado or Jackson State locker room whoever
badly of him. He loves his parents, He gets back
to the community. Yeah, is unless he went into every

(38:04):
meeting with every team, guns blazing, headphones on half turn
backwards and said, I ain't playing for you, I don't
want to play here like.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
It just speaks to the length that people.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Will go.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
To now to admit the truth.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
That whether he whether you thought he was a first
round quarterback or not, he damn streight a fifth round quarterback.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
So all that being said, he's a brown now fucking
he's a brown, right.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
I can't like it.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
I I can roof for him. Mmh Except two Sundays
a year.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
I see, but.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
I'm I'm praying that he succeeds. He went to the
worst situation possible.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Yeah, so we'll see. But he's a good kid, man kid.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
He's already in Cleveland going to schools, going to schools
and working out every day and giving back to the kids.
Like you know, maybe Dylan Gabriel is doing the same.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
And I was joking with kid. You know, Cleveland have
five quarterbacks in the him, Gabriel, Flaccold, Watson, and.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Picket.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Picket.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Now, I won't forget about him. You know, the same goals.
If you got two quarterbacks, you ain't got one, right,
I don't know what they have to say about five
about five, If you got five, you ain't got shot.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Maybe.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
And the bad thing is he may be the best
one there.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
I agree right now, I agree, So I agree.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
I'm hoping he likes it.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
I agree, So I definitely agree.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
Yeah, yeah, man, And more thoughts on the draft before
we get to our question of the week.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
I don't have any I don't so and this is
just for you.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
I'm gonna get my answer now. I was watching a
clip of Chris Brown dancing mm hmmm. And dude, that
like a what's what's one eighty and what's three? Three
sixty times three?

Speaker 3 (41:07):
Whatever?

Speaker 2 (41:08):
It is.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
A triple man, just out of the blue in the
middle of a routine. Then I remember thinking, that's impressive.
I thought back to what's that movie he was in with.

Speaker 4 (41:21):
T I.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
T Yeah, I know what you're talking about, but I
don't remember.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
The scene where he's running front of the cops and
he's jumping over cards and downstairs, like I thought that
that was an athlete. Yeah, that's what made me think,
who's the best?

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Is non.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Athlete athletic athlete that you know?

Speaker 1 (41:51):
I would say Chris Brown just because of recency bias,
But that was impressive to me.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Okay, I got a few I could throw out, man,
but I want to say one, Tom Cruise mm hmm.
I want to say Tom Cruise. I want to say
Jackie Chan Okay, you know, I want to say not

(42:23):
Columbus Short, the kid that play Antwine for sure.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Oh h they they did.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
He played Yeah, he didn't play Diddy. What's a good name?

Speaker 4 (42:37):
Everybody whoever watching know who we were talking about. He
played Booby Boobie Miles and Friday Night lights. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
he's an athlete.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Of course. It seems like these guys keep popping in
my head. But is it? Uh? Is it?

Speaker 4 (42:59):
John Ain't run O'reagan? What's one of them boys? Was
the hell of a running back? Yeah one, Regan wont
to Reagan?

Speaker 2 (43:11):
We got uh, what's it? And big Zel played running
back in college or.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
Something like that or it's not thee I know the
Sunday Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Some played back. Oh man, I can't.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Think of ship.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
Some played in the league for a second.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, what's in John David play for the
Rams for like a year. Oh yeah yeah, I got
signed out of Morehouse.

Speaker 4 (43:41):
Yeah yeah, oh well I got to go with John
David one yeah right, yeah, yeah, I got to go
with John David.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
I can't think of I can't think of anyone else
right off Oh MOR's chests not yeah, More's chestnut.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
One of those guys, one of those, one of those,
one of those actors was like All States safety.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Yeah, yeah, dude from training to day with Denzel the white.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
Dude, White Hawk, ethan Hawk.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Yeah, I think he was.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Yeah, I can't think of anybody else right off hand.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
But it's you know, like you said, those guys running
and doing their own stunts and jumping and flipping.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
It.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
Definitely some athletes out there, definitely, But you know, but
like I said, I guess I'm gonna stick.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
I'm gonna go with Tom Cruise man.

Speaker 1 (44:46):
And another one I just thought about Prince. Prince was
a hooper like principal hoo. So I heard not just
some day chapel so but yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Petil oh yeah yeah, yeah, that sounds funny. Yeah sounds funny.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Yeah yeah, yeah, just someone wanted to throw out there
because you know, with everybody's multi dimensional.

Speaker 4 (45:20):
Right right, and that put me in the mold. Remember
m TV used to do the Rock and Jock. Yeah,
and those like celebrities used to be out there going y'all.
I can't think of anyone at this point, but oh,
what's the basketball player that is?

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Chris Brown? Chris Brown was out there hooping in the
celebrity Yeah. It was Kavo in Atlanta. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
he was all State. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
It was good.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
So another question just popped in my head. It won't
be too hard, but you mentioned Rock and Josh. It
made me think back to old shows. I was to
come back so NFL's fastest man. Okay, who will win
it today? Today?

Speaker 4 (46:25):
Some fast cats out there, man, But I know people
breaking this time and doing this. But I'm not going
against Cheetah man. Yeah, you know, I know the kid
that that the Chiefs drafted last year broke the broke
the record or whatever.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
But I'm not going against Cheetah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:43):
And they were in a hundred in the fastest man
now the forty right, so right, it's different trending for
the forty and running the.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Hundred and the hundred for sure.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Yeah, I don't think I can go against Cheetah. I
mean worth, it is fast.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
Worth these facts? Worthy? Is fast?

Speaker 1 (47:05):
A change?

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Maybe a change? Change is fans.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Fast, writing most of the fast, most of the fast.
They're all on the Dolphins ship fast most of somebody else.
Now the Raiders, I think, so, I want to say
the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Yeah, mhmm yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
But it's hard to go ahead and see them.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
Man, it's hard. It's hard to go against something now.
But you I've totally forgot about a change A chain
I will, yeah, you do the chang will yeah, they
chang got wills.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
Do what do you receive.

Speaker 4 (47:58):
Now?

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Now?

Speaker 3 (47:59):
A B and the other one from Alabama?

Speaker 2 (48:02):
Ohte Yeah.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
And what's the name for the Lions Jamison?

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Oh Jamison Jameson got Will's. I would love to see
Jamar Chase out there. Chase. Yeah, he's get away from people,
Jammy and Gibbs. Gibbs get away from people. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
Trying to think it's some corners, but I know it's
some fast corners. I can't think of nobody. I mean,
I know singlely, you know, really fast. But yeah, it
might be the fastest corner I think.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
What Yeah, I know at one point due for the
package was fast, but I don't think it's fast as
it used to be.

Speaker 4 (48:50):
Gaire gaire Yeah, okay, okay, we just drafted the corner
six three around the four three.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Six from our state.

Speaker 3 (49:02):

Speaker 1 (49:02):
That Porter some state he's from, Darrin Porter.

Speaker 2 (49:08):

Speaker 3 (49:11):

Speaker 2 (49:17):

Speaker 1 (49:21):

Speaker 3 (49:56):
Know, I feel.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Yeah, so am Yeah. But let them mind.

Speaker 3 (50:02):
They'll be sitting next to each other, text each other.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
We texting each other. That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
We introverts, but we never with an introvert though, right,
