Speaker 1 (00:03):

That is Thomas Stevens. How's it going to day pool? Man?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
What's good doing? All right? So glad I'm all tomorrow,
but it's definitely good to be back. How are you, brother, man? Yeah,
I'm good man, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah. It reminds me of I remember when I was
a kid. My dad was walking around and some dudes
was working on the house and he's like, yo, while
y'all working on the fourth, and the dude say, shoot,
we want a job on the fifth and the sixth.
We got work.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
So I'm glad of them all too. I guess everybody don't,
so that's true.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah I needed it. Yeah man. How you being welcome back?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Man? It's been well man. Just getting home live brother,
what's going on with you?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I'm good man good just you know, getting closer to
the season, ready for miss al shout out? Yeah yeah
yeah yeah man, but we're good man. Yeah, just you
know all forms of football season so high school out
of college so yeah yeah man, you're that you're ready

(01:19):
to report?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah man, I just look got off performed with him today. Man,
he was like, he was like, yeah, man, mom asked me,
you know that I want to just stay at home
and live off her and be a dead beat the world.
Ready to go. He was like, damn, man, I'm ready
to go there.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I know he ready to go out to hear yeah him.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, it was a week as you put it to him, right,
But I appreciate that that was.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
All right, Yeah, man, all the best that I can.
Excited for him.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, me too, man, cool man. Well, welcome back to
the Fight Like podcast everybody. Today we will allow be
well leading up to the season, we will be previewing
East Division and today will start off with the AFC East.

(02:10):
So you know, after I thought about it, I say
we should have started off with the AFC North in
the NC North, but you know we'll get to them. Yeah,
We'll start off with als two divisions and just pop
cast coat ship about the Jets and the Cowboys. Today

(02:33):
will start off with the AFC East, and UH, let's
run through East teams and notable additions and losses and
their draft picks and UH to figure out what ordered
these teams will finish. So I mean starting with the
first I want to ask you, man, since we will

(02:54):
start off with the AFC East, what are your thoughts
on the mink of Fitzpatrick and Jayleen Ramsey trade.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I think it was a push. To me, I think
it was a push. However, the John new Smith in
that completely give the Stillers the win. But he did
you know, John Stills a stud run fast, jump high,
He's a study and and to get that in the
deal was I mean that was claiming with the Church's

(03:24):
money at that point, right.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah. I think player for player, Minka and Jalen are
pretty close. I think Jalen plays more premium positions, but
I don't think anything any defense got better. Right to Nomber,
I agree, I think John Smith kind of pushes over

(03:47):
the top. So should be fun. If the Stillers don't win,
at least that'd be interesting and that they will be so.
But yeah, man, So starting off with the Buffalo Bills, Okay,
and we'll go in alphabetic order. So staring off with

(04:09):
Buffalo man no finished last year, they're losing the MC
Championship to Kansas City again. Their notable additions Joey Bosa
from the Chargers, uh Elijah Moore Wilde receiver from Cleveland,

(04:33):
Dang Jackson. They brought him back cornerback. He spent a
year in Carolina HU and they brought him back. I'm
Larry and Jobie from Pittsburgh, although he'll be suspended for
the first four games pe de violation. Michael Hack from

(04:55):
the Rams ed rusher and Josh Palmer receiver from the Chargers.
So you know, I guess name recognition of course Bosa. Yeah,
but he can't stay healthy. So if he can't start

(05:15):
a huge boost to them, right, I like Ogan Joby
to show up the line some when he's back. Alives
you more at speed. No one of your thoughts, on
one of your thoughts on their additions.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I realize them old speed. Josh Palmer gives him size,
size and speed. Bosa, Like you said, I mean, if
he can stay healthy. I didn't even realize that he
had that good of a season last year because every
time I saw the Charges play he wasn't playing, right.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I think you missed seven games.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
But but he's still went the Pro Bowl. So yeah,
Pro Bowl bottom water down. But yeah, he had a
pretty good season. But he's definitely not the boss of Old.
They paid him a lot of money. I mean to me.

(06:12):
We just named a bunch of names, you know, a
bunch of names. I do think Covid is gonna I
think he's gonna come out like wildfire this year. I
think he's gonna be really good this year. Last year
was a learning you know, learning curve for him, and
I think he is gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Cool. So the loss is the only lost wide receiver
MC collins and Will Klapp, So nothing big there blocking.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
It's a great blocker, but.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
But yeah, replaceable, Yeah, but yeah, I want to get
into guys. You think that other than Covid, as you mentioned,
any anybody else you think will break out for them
this year.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
I think he's gonna gonna be good again. You know,
the last what seven games of the season, you know,
he put up really good numbers. You know, I don't know.
I think maybe he was hurt the beginning of the year.
I'm not sure, but I know his production definitely increased
near the near the bottom half of the season. Let

(07:19):
me think of everybody else, man, of course, they're decent
at every position because they got rid of that bomb Elam.
I hate to cover him a bomb man, but he
can't cover. He can't, he can't cover man. He had
to what the sixth and the seventh round pick come
in and beat him out. You know, Harris at first

(07:41):
round pick. But they're pretty solid all over the field.
You know. They definitely definitely need passed rush. They can
get it from Joey. That will definitely get him a
huge boost. But someone to make a huge jump man.
And like I said, I'm hanging my hat on definitely
Keon and and and kN K. You know, I'm expecting
for Cook to be cooked. You know, as long as

(08:02):
they pay him to get him in there.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Always Yeah, the draft picks like you mentioned, cornerback Maxwell
Hashton from Kentucky, t J. Sanders from South carolinta designman,
Deon Walker, D Lineman from Kentucky. Another big names, Jordan

(08:25):
Hancock from Ohio State. Anybody you think can come in
and contribute right right away.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I think Harrison will come in. Harrison, I think he's
gonna come in and start. Yeah, you know, if I
mean the other they really had two good corners though,
but they were really paying well and to eve them
had to come in and I can't remember who that was,
but it was beating him like a drum. He just
he just doesn't have a speed and and and the
wibble to stay with anyone. But you know, Harrison might

(08:57):
come in and he may be the slot guy out.
He'll definitely, you know, he'll definitely start. So I'm gonna
looking for him to come in and contribute right away.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
And man, of course, you know, with josh Adlan there,
they've always got a shot against himbody always in contention, definitely,
So that'll be another strong season for them. Moved on
to the Dolphins Miami. They brought in, of course Minker
in the trade. James Daniels from Pittsburgh, the guard coming

(09:31):
off of achilles injury. Former Bear as well, but one
of the better guards in the league went healthy. Yeah, yeah,
Zach Wilson, your boy back up tour, Nick Westbrook from
Tennessee wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah. I like him.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
A couple more safeties if we are too, mel Mela
Fan Ashton Davis, two safetyes Detroit and the Jets. Another
former Bear Larry boorm offensive tackle, and another former Steeler
Ardie Burns at cornerback and former Bear as well. So man,

(10:21):
other than Minka and Daniels, I guess if he's healthy,
I mean, good thing they brought in Mica because the
Canton Mela Farm and Davis that's gonna be rough Sleddin. Yeah,
but yeah, anybody's stick out other than the Minka. We

(10:42):
talked about him already.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
I like Westbrook. What is Westbrook? Yeah, but he's he's
he's strong, he fast, good hands, and he's about to
come into a system where he's about to be wide
open as a as in the it's a it's a
high optane offense, right, so they're gonna be up and

(11:05):
down the field. Mcdamee's gonna scheme different things. So he's
definitely going to be open. And I'm expecting a really
good year for him and.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Better quarterback play than he had tendency. So yeah, their
losses and they lost Javon Holland safety to the Giants,
Robert Jones offensive guard to Dallas, and Raheem most mostly
went to the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
The Raiders. The Raiders.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I'm still one of the fastest backs in the league. Yeah, yeah,
I mean those pretty solid starters.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know why they let Holler
go though, I don't I don't understand that.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Their camps situations had okay, okay, so they couldn't really
sign okay, you know to the big money.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Oh yeah, because they're paying both receivers tour. Yeah okay, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
And they were they had Jenlen Ramsey so yeah, okay,
so they couldn't afford That's why they traded John Smith
because they couldn't afford him.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
M hm, So.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
I might get it so better pay off.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
They brought in what's the kid name? What's the kid name?
Walker Smith? Damn the tight end?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Oh Darren Waller, Darren Waller yea, yeah, I forget right. Yeah,
I mean he came out of retirement. If he's I.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Mean, if he's anything close to what.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
He right, I don't think they ask him for a
hundred catches and eight hundred yards, but I mean they
get forty catches and four hundred fifty yards. I take that.
I'm sure they would. So it depends on one how
his body is holding it up, right too, if he's

(13:09):
really interested in playing.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And playing football, right, because he's still under thirty.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
I think he's a bad right around there.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, he's still on the thirty and we know he's
a big, strong, fast guy. So, like you say, if
he wants to play football, because we know they had
to work him out before they even did that. They
know he can run and still agile and fluid, So
I mean they I guess they figure we got something here,

(13:36):
you know.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Yeah, and I know his Another thing that they say
brought him back was his tight ends coach from the
Raiders is now the Dolphins office coordinator. Oh so that's
really flourished. So we'll see.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Man, he was a dog with the with the Giants too,
though they could. Man, he was running open, bad, badly,
thrown balls, but he was Yeah, he was doing it
was yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
So and you know, a public life coming off that
divorce and you know, maybe life network.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
It was last year. He missed the entire last year. Okay, okay, okay,
enough to get his body.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, yeah, so's trade off in the draft. They got
Kennergrant defensive alignment from.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Michigan, Michigan.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Yeah, Jonas Savana South mess uh from the Guard from Arizona.
Jordan Phillips d line from Maryland, mh. They got Alie
Gordon running back from Oklahoma State, uh, which you know

(14:59):
two years ago he's one of the best backs in
the nation.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
But last year, no officers, the line, no weapons, he
struggle so we'll see anybody you see from Miami taking
a jump breaking out this year.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
I think a Chain is gonna be a monster. He
had a really good year last year as well. A
Chain is gonna be He's gonna be that guy. I
can't think. I can't think of man. I'm really the kid, uh,

(15:40):
the kid Westbrook though, like I said, we talked about that.
I think he's gonna have a really really good year.
Yeah you know, he's gonna be running in the middle.
And like I said, he's a fast kid and he's physical. Yeah,
you know, he's big, fast, strong, and he loves the contact.
I'm expecting a really good year out of him. I'm

(16:02):
looking for Grant to come in and compete. I want
to see what Phillips looks like. Two juries back to back, right,
so it was his he did something towards Achilles last Yeah. Yeah,
so I'm looking at I really like the kid actually,
so I'm really looking to see what he you know,

(16:23):
see what he puts together this year.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Okay, Yeah, I'm onto your my favorite New England Patriots
additions that brought in Stephan Diggs, Harold Landry the Third
from Tennessee, Roberts Flane from Vegas, Carlton Davis from Detroit,

(16:49):
Morgan Moses from the Jets, Milton Williams from Philly, Mcallen's,
Gary Bradbery, Josh Jobs. There were more, but I got
tired of typeing. I mean they had money to spend,
of course, or.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
They had a stellar off season. Yeah, stellar Off.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Of those names, who stands out?

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Oh yeah, I mean they're they're their d is going
to be famiable. We know what steph On is. I
look at his workout takes every day. He looks. He
looks great. Stephone looks great. We know Spleen is a
tackle machine, one hundred and fifty hundred and sixty tackles
a year. We know what Melton is. I don't understand

(17:44):
one off season how they could rebuild their entire defense
in one off season.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
And with all those names, those might not even be
the biggest additions.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Mhm. The head coach, the head coach, Right.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
I'm bringing Mike Vrabel back to New England as a
head coach, although I think Mayo should have got more
than one year. Yeah, but I guess they have a
chance to bring verbel In.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Gotta pounce on it. You gotta pounce on it. And
and I notice has nothing to do with football, But
that's what I'm saying with the Bulls. With the the
GM from Toronto, uh is Donnery whatever's name? You know,
he got can And I'm like, what are we waiting

(18:37):
on the pounce on it? Like, what are we doing?
You know our front office is incompetent? What are we
what are we doing?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
But anyway, go back, We'll go back.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
I mean we always say, but anything, any sport, any occasion,
if your guys there, go get him.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
We got to go get him. I'm like, what are
we doing it? We got a we got a great GM.
He was in one place for like twelve, thirteen, fourteen
to fifteen years. Yeah, and he's really goodod. You know,
let's go post on that kid. You know, we don't
stroke out year after year after year. Let's go get
somebody that can build something.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Right, Yeah, man, let the kid go? Yeah, I mean
and won the culture.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
But two, you bring in all these names, you don't
want to waste that window?

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Correct?

Speaker 1 (19:28):
So Viels, I mean he did a great job in Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yeah. I like him. He's you know.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Right, their losses they traded Devon Gacho to the Saints.
Really good player. I like him. Jakobe Bessett to the Cardinals,
Jhonathan Jones, the cornerback to Washington, Daniel Aquillade to the Steelers.

(19:59):
David Andrews they released him in the long time center
Matt Wilson Joey Sly also released. Not not franchise changers,
but so names Okay, yeah, anybody you see breaking out
for them this year.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
I like the first round draft pick. I like Will Henderson,
I mean, uh, the second round.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Yeah, we're going to that draft of Will Cable in
the first, Travion Henderson in the second.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Yeah. I like Trey Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Kyle Wills and from Washington. Stay, I love Kyle Wills.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
You do. I don't know much about that much about.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Him, kind of like a man ain't comparing to the player,
but body time like a b Okay that counter receiver
which he fast yeah about five? Yeah, like him a lot.
Jared Wilson center from Georgia. Joshua former d lineman from

(21:08):
Florida State, the new draft kicker Andrea Boyega. I'm from Miami,
so you know, solid name, but I like Will Campbell.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah yeah, solid names, Yeah, solid names there.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
The best past blocker in the draft from.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
I'm expecting a breakout year where we I got feeling
Dig's gonna be back on Park. But I'm expecting a
really good year from Douglas, the slot receiver. I don't
forgot they called him Scooter Douglas.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Yeah, yeah, power little.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Something jack Rabbit Douglas.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Yeah another ja Yeah what do you what? Did you
see it from Drake May this year?

Speaker 2 (22:08):
You know, we saw him the spots. He didn't stay healthy.
Kid kept risking his life. He can't risk his life
and take shots like that, and you know, you don't
get in there, and yeah, he'll start shaking a little bit.
Then this thing, I'm not see him. He's not moving
on the sideline, Like I can't believe Drake took this shot,
you know, but he looked like he you know, he

(22:28):
looks like he's gonna be promising. You know. I did
hear this jerk on Fantasy Radio, and you know, he
was going off on Trevor Lawrence and he's like, yeah,
we know what Trevor Lawrence is. Drake May last year
a look better than Trevor Lawrence ever did. And I
was like, let me turn this off because this guy,

(22:49):
this guy's out of Yeah, Trevor definitely stunk last year,
but better than he ever did. I like Dre, but
to say Drake's better than him already, I was like,
but I think Dre's okay. Though he looks like he
has He looks like he's he has to make up,

(23:10):
you know what I'm saying. We look at him, he reads,
he extend plays, he can, he can, he can, yeah,
but I lost my train. He can anticipate, he can
anticipate throws. We saw that. So he looks like he
has it. Yeah, you know, with the small sample size,
he looked like yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
And you know. My only concern, which maybe hopefully for
them they fix, is bad office line play gives makes
a quarterback develop bad habits. So he got to a
point last year when he was under so much pressure. Yeah,

(23:56):
he was battling out throats, bailing out, Yeah, you know,
escaping the pocket too early and too quickly. So you
know those are fixable. You know, Jactlyn will Campberon in
the first round. Helps, right, So we'll see it's our

(24:20):
last thing. Of course, Al's New York Jets notable additions.
Of course, Justin Fields quarterback from Pittsburgh, Dag Naughty d
tackle from Kansas City, and Brandon Stephen, your cousin from Baltimore.

(24:41):
Andre Cisco the safety. So not a lot, but some
good players. They lost Aaron Rodgers of course, Davante Adams
to the Rams, d J Reed, Ashton Davis, c J. Moses,

(25:02):
and Morgan Moses. Most of those guys are past their prime,
that's true, but still really productive.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
You know, I'm not sure it feels is a better
quarterback than Rogers right now, but he's younger and a
betterefit for what they want to do moving forward. In
a draft, they got a Marred Member uh officer tackle

(25:37):
from Missouri, Mason Taylor tight end from l s u
Ozurea Thomas cornerback from Florida State like him a lot,
Harry and Smith wide out from Georgia, Francisco, Mariogo marie
goa from Miami, and Tyler Baron edge from Miami. Uh.

(26:01):
First off, who do you see having a breakout year
for the Jets?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
And of course you know, Membo is gonna come in
and and he's gonna he's gonna do something right away.
But I'm looking for Taylor to come in and and
do something right away as well. But I really like Smith. Yeah,
I receive the big fast, you know. I like him.

(26:27):
He's gonna be able to translate right away. We'll see, yeah,
you know, you never know, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah, every game with Georgia game I watched, so I
share he was dropping the past.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
He did that.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Yeah, so he did that. Hopefully can put it all together.
I love Isarea Thomas chest Yeah, okay, this big. I
guess the Jets have a type at cornerback. It's a
lot like Sauce. He's a press master. Okay, so big
long tall surprised them in the third round. I love him.

(27:08):
I think Brice Hall can take another step, especially with
a quarterback like Fields who can kind of provide, you know,
something to the running game, cut back lanes. It's definitely
gonna have to cut back, and he's a threat threat.

(27:31):
So I think Bris have a big year. I think
Garrett Wilson will have a dip and performance just because
feels is that we're gonna give you what Rogers gave
you in the passing game.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
They might scheme him open a lot, but just for
out drop back passing, I'm not sure. Consistently fields and
give you that. You know, I love justin fields, but
only I think the average one hundred and eleven yards
passing per game last year. So it's up and down.

(28:15):
So I'm not sure if Wilson. Of course, Wilson's gonna
be the one that takes a hit most. So we'll see.
And they just brought in a new head coach, Aaron
Glenn from Detroit, a defensive coordinator, so I we'll see.

(28:38):
And I like a lot of the moves they made, though.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
I think I think Garrett Wilson don't have as big
as year up the date. You think so, And I'm
just basing us off of Yeah, they do have chemistry,
you know, back years ago, went to college together. But
I'm basing us off of the first year we brought

(29:03):
DJ Morian. He had his biggest year with fields, thirteen
hundred and sixty yards, receiving nine touchdowns. You know, so
he he if he has a guy, he can get
it to the guy, you know, like you say, that
comes with scheming open and but he'll give it up
and get a guy chance. So I think I think

(29:25):
he's gonna have a I think he's gonna have a
you know, his best year.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Today, which is probably mean if he does, that means
that feels is gonna have his best year probably, So
we'll say I wish feels nothing but the best. Hopefully.
I hope he has a great year.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
And that's crazy. I'm just thinking about that because DJ
Moore had thirteen hundred yard receiving and I think Field
might have thrown for twenty seven hundred yards, so that
kid almost had half.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
The one guy. Yeah, let's see and hopefully that that
feels he feels. Yeah, you know, we'll see. Yeah. Man,
So before we go, what's your predicular order of finish
in the division? Buffalo Mammy, Jets and Patriots. Now, how

(30:22):
many in the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Mm hmmm. I'm gonna go two in the offs, you know,
you know, one of the possible. Since she was talking
about I'm gonna use the spades, I'm gonna go. I'm

(30:50):
gonna go, of course, the Buffalo Bills mm hmm. But
I'm gonna go a close second to the New England Patriots.
I think that New England Patriots is gonna gonna make
the lead. But I do think that that the Jets
are gonna be fulnerable. But I think in the cellar.

(31:14):
I think it's gonna be the Dolphins. I just don't
think that they d gonna be aby do a lot,
you know. And and in the secondary, you know, they drafted,
they brought in port chopped last year. We'll see what
Phillips can do. So we'll be able to see if
they get to the pastor. But I don't think they
were able to stop the run, you know, they I

(31:37):
don't know if they did enough to to to solidify
their defense. So I mean it's I think they're probably
gonna be in the cellar so that happens.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Do you think they move on from Mike mcdaids.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
But so he has this this this label as one
of the brightest minds in football, in which I believe,
I do believe. But he's not really getting what he
needs to get on the other side of the football.
So is that his issue?

Speaker 3 (32:22):
The head coach? Yes, he the head coach. Yeah, he's
the head coach. I mean when we blame him, it's
either he's gonna get to blame on the general manager, right,
we'll probably want them go.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, And I say this all the time, like some
guys are meant to be coordinators and not head coaches,
and I think it might be Day might be one
of those guys. We can focus on the offense. It's great,
but to manage fifty three guys weekend and week out,

(33:01):
I'm not sure he's great at bad So we'll see.
I like him, but I'm not sure he's not just
a great coordinator.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
I like him to do in that division. Of course,
Buffalo is going to be a jugging out offensively. But
the two teams you're not gonna want to play defensively,
or the Jets and the and the New England Patriots,
they're gonna be bullies and hard nose and you're going
to be in for a long, long game. I agree,

(33:33):
you know, with those two souls. But I definitely see
Miami finishing in the cellar.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Right man, that's one down, seven to go, and then
we'll move onto our season previews and onto the season.
So sir, thank you, sir, anything you want to get
off his chest, a pardon.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Shot we go.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Man.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I just want to say I'm dropping off my oldest
the Watford on Sunday. He's gonna begin his football, you know,
his collegiate academic career. The next phase the next step
for him, and and and I can't wait. Man. I'm
so excited me too.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Man, Yeah man, for real, yeah man, all the best
to him. I man ain't gonna tell you don't cry.
You gotta cry when you leave des crib man. No
doubt it's okay, No, no doubt. I wouldn't expect you

(34:40):
not to shed a few.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
You're right right, right.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Man, Yeah, I ain't got nothing crazy man. Everybody, have
a safe, long weekend. No drink, goody good, but not
too much. Take care of yourself. So shout again to
our We love you, miss you, no doubt, yeah man.

(35:05):
So we'll talk to y'all next week, same time, same channel.
Until then, the fire life, My life.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Peace, Peace,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
