This laser-guided monster penetrates the earth to about length of a football field, then detonates a 5600-pound explosive. The official name for the ordnance is GBU-57 MOP. The bomb essentially contains enough explosive power to kill everything above ground within a mile.
When dropped to earth, the sheer weight and speed of the projectile cause the bomb to penetrate deep into the earth. The detonation is delayed until the bomb finally settles.
Once triggered, a shock wave is delivered that feels like a earthquake due to all the rock and sediment surrounding the warhead.
